I think it would really benefit people to internalize that mental illnesses are often chronic and not acute. Some of us will never be able to jump the hurdle of managing illness, much less sustaining a sense of normalcy. Many of us will never "recover," will never manage symptoms, will never even come close to appearing normal - and this is for any condition, even the ones labeled as "simple" disorders or "easy-to-manage" disorders.

It isn't a failure if you cannot manage your symptoms. It isn't a moral failure, and you aren't an awful person. You are human. There's only so much you can do before recognizing that you cannot lift the world. Give yourself the space to be ill because, functionally, you are.

bad blood is one hell of an episode. it literally opens with mulder straight-up murdering a regular teenager via stake-through-the-heart and he and scully are like pretty sure the FBI is going to be sued and they're going to be doing some serious jail time. except both of them remember the story differently. scully's story is predictably logical and straight-forward. the killer was drugging his victims before bleeding them out, mimicking a vampire attack by wearing fake fangs (which are proven to be fake. this is crucial. this kid was wearing plastic fangs when mulder stabbed him. in the chest. with a wooden stake.) what is also crucial is that mulder was a victim of this murderer's attack and so he was tripping hard when scully intercepts the killer. mulder - whilst tripping balls - is convinced that the killer has glowing eyes and flew across the room before running out the door. and so - whilst tripping balls - he gives chase and ends up stabbing the kid through the heart with a wooden stake.

and of course this is the x files and so while scully and mulder are arguing over who gave who the hardest time in their percieved series of events, it turns out that mulder was right. the kid was a vampire and the stake didn't actually kill him. the fangs were fake because he was copying the sorts of vampires that you see in books and on tv. he was a real vampire.

and it's not just the kid. there are bunches of vampires, including the sheriff. the whole town are just. vampires. the lot of 'em. and the second they're found out, they just up and leave without a trace.

sometimes the extent to which mulder turns out to be right in this show is borderline ludicrous, it's amazing, I love it. but what was even better was that the biggest point of contention between scully and mulder's stories wasn't even the vampire thing, it was whether or not the sheriff was actually hot.

OK, so we've discussed Jod's apparent faux concern when Harrow comes to him desperately begging to be protected from G1deon:

"Harrowhark, when was the last time you slept?"

We later learn that he asked G1deon to "fix or put down Harrow". He thought putting her in desperate circumstances would somehow activate her Lyctoral powers.

It all feels particularly awful because elsewhere we've seen him imagine Harrow as his daughter: "You’d make a hell of a daughter, Harrowhark."

And yes, this is Jod's love of being perceived as a nice man and his tendency to make everything about him. But also...

They’d all expected me to go nuts. A— kept saying, Are you sleeping, are you okay, are you taking any Class As, you know you can tell me.

I wasn’t trying to be a dick. I think I hadn’t slept for two days.

I wasn’t operating on a lot of food or sleep.

I’d stopped sleeping and I wasn’t eating much, I was keeping my body going just by fiddling with the processes.

That last one is John 1:20. You know, the chapter where Jod finally unlocks the full potential of what he can do (with just a little help from a planet and 10 billion deaths) and becomes god?

Jod sees himself in Harrow. And he knows being hounded and sleep deprived was what worked for him.

hello!!! i was going through your jimmysea tag as one do and i came across this:

"i still remember the day an anon told me he improvised nomming on his co-star's face and using a pillow to suggest stripping said co-star down and eating him out all in the name of Acting™ because i've never been the same ever since. the me before and after i was given this information are completely different people"

HELLO ANON LET ME TAKE YOU ON A JOURNEY THAT I LIKE TO CALL DERANGEMENT AND METHOD ACTING: INSIDE THE MIND OF GMMTV HIT ACTORS PAIR JIMMYSEA

so, basically, jimmy liked to improvise quite a lot while filming vice versa: some of those scenes didn’t end up in the show itself, but some of them actually did. of the latter, the most infamous ones are the pillow scene in episode 9 and the nom nom scene in episode 10

im frankly not mentally stable enough to describe the pillow scene so im just gonna let the screenshots speak for themselves

I REPEAT: this entire scene was NOT in the script. it was fully IMPROVISED. which means that on the left you have a man taking method acting on a whole new level and being fully aware of the derangement he's about to unleash into the world, while on the right you can see the genuine growing horror on the face of his co-star as he realizes the implications of stripping a pillow down and burying your face in it when said pillow is supposed to be the stand-in for a person. even neo's chatacter waking up and yelling about the dentist right after that was improvised

my man neo was really there praying to god to either make someone call cut or to strike him down where he laid to get away from that shit, and when he realized god had abandoned him he took it upon himself to put an end to whatever insanity he was witnessing. most insane sequence of events in under 20 seconds like. EVER

based on this, one would think that sea was just a mere bystander when it comes to his co-star’s derangement, but don’t let him fool you!!!!! he’s just as bad as jimmy, and the nom nom scene actually proves it. in episode 10, puen smeared some chocolate on talay's cheek, and jimmy was supposed to clean sea’s face by using his fingers and then eat the chocolate from them, pretty much like what happened with the cake scene in episode 8, but jimmy said ‘you know what? i think puen would take it a step further now’ and went full NOM. and then he nommed a little more

at which point sea was like ‘i simply think it’s not fair that hia should have all the fun’ so he decided to nom jimmy back

and this is why the jimmysea fandom is called ‘nom nom’ (jimmy's favorite episode is episode 10 exactly for this reason btw)

meanwhile, as all of this went down, p’x was standing behind the cameras just giggling twirling his hair kicking his feet like oh my god boys stopppppppp you're soooo cute and smart hihihihi OF COURSE we're gonna keep these scenes in the show!!!!!!

Ah almost forgor, anime name is "The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior". I've been following this story since my idol Suzunosuke illustrated the light novel. Loving these babies.

Did ‘The Puzzler’ actually say that the answer was on gl!Slimecicle but then the mask altered gl!Ranboo’s perception of what he said? It glitched and gl!Slime was screaming so we know gl!Ranboo’s perception was being altered in that scene and Puzzler seemed kinda disturbed by it.

Also, the fact they got the hat that temporarily freed gl!Sneeg from the brainwashing from gl!Slime. Did they pull it out of him of did he hand it to them? Was it actually covered in slime or blood? Since both gl!Sneeg and gl!Slime are labeled friend, are they all friends outside of the brainwashing? Did they put gl!Sneeg’s hat on him, smeared with his friends blood, for him to be suddenly aware of his friend bleeding out in front of him? Did gl!Ranboo unknowingly butcher his own friend and then leave him to possibly bleed out (I mean they kept talking about getting him help so idk)?
