A few days had passed since Masaki and Hiro helped Reign. She hadn’t seen or heard from them. Belladonna’s started doing their research on the tool that tried to scare Reign off. After hacking into certain systems, they discovered he was part of Kuryu; one of the most dangerous families of the country. The fact he was honing into her and her business, was troubling. From what she read, they were the type that wouldn't stop until they got what they wanted.
Business at the office slowed down as her employees started to get apprehensive about coming into work over the fight. Reign stood in the middle of her waiting room trying to calm everyone down as they all began yelling at her in fear for their safety. The bells on the door went off; a few sketchy figures entered the building. One of them looked like a modern day samurai, with more guys following behind him.
She instantly knew that she would have no more employees after this.
“Fine, you all can leave. I will handle this business by myself.”
The employees left briskly, for they didn’t want to be caught up in whatever was about to happen. Reign walked over to the door, turning the sign to closed. The fact that he was just staring at her, had her apprehensive.
“I take it by that sword you’re not here for your shots?” Reign never took her eyes off him, seeing the ominous smirk; in lieu of a reply.
“Boss wants to know if you’re ready to renegotiate his offer?” A smug character walked in front turning his nose up at her.
“And you are?”
“Kirinji.”
“No actually, but tell him I appreciate him having the respect to check in on me,” she walked over to the desk, trying to find a way to send a signal to someone.
Kaiya walked into the room sitting straight up next to Reign. Reign just pet her ears, causing Kaiya to leave out the building. Suddenly, there was a silencing howl that startled the gentleman.
“That's the office pet. It must mean she's getting restless.”
Under the desk, Reign had her own sword hidden; easily obtainable if needed. Just like before, when she told them no, they began turning her business upside down.
“Is this really necessary? You get told no for once in your life that you act like little spoiled brats? Gosh your parents created works of art.”
When she didn’t act scared, they decided to up the anty; trying to attack her. She fended them off as much as she could dodging and deflecting their hits. Kaiya came back in viciously growling and attacking the lesser grunts. The samurai stood back for a moment just watching her. Reign was caught off guard. They slid her across her desk. She hit the floor forcefully, yelling. She felt a cooling sensation, feeling her mouth and face start to sting. Reign grimaced, thinking about how this could hinder her healing process. She wiped the blood from the corners of her lips as she stood back up. By this time, she was seeing red. The hair sticks on her desk were sharp as she swiftly sent them through the air hitting three in the neck. The ones that threw her over the counter dropped instantly.
Reign grabbed her sword as she got into stance. That was the last thing she wanted to do, but desperate times called for desperate measures. She heard the back door open as three figures stood next to her.
“Are you okay Rei?”
“I'm pissed.”
The front doors opened to a group of younger guys with curiosity in their eyes, causing everyone to pause. The shorter one with the bandana looked past the thugs seeing Reign bleeding.
“Miss are you closed? Oh and you have something on your face.”
The taller one with him looked around for a tissue to hand to her, “So you get off on beating women now Kirinji?” he turned meeting his gaze. “What should we do Murayama?”
“We’re closed today due to staffing issues. Maybe you all could come back later,” she didn’t need innocent kids getting hurt on her watch.
“Ah,” he walked around with his friends noticing the guys on the ground, “that's a shame. Our friend here was past due on his rabies shot. Hey, you look like you’re having a bad day.”
He walked in front of the thugs as he stopped by Kaiya. Smiling, he scratched her head confusing everyone by this action. Letting out a yell, made his friends start fighting; sparking a brawl once more. Reign hopped over the counter; swinging her sword connecting it with the samurai. They were in an intense fight with steel hitting steel. He smiled at her believing he was about to over power her; due to her size. Reign landed a kick that knocked him back a bit, confusing him. When he got his stance back, he closed his distance in on her quickly laying her upon her desk. His sword kept getting closer and closer to her neck, she yelped. His strength was undeniably overpowering. Suddenly, a figure kicked him with so much force, he flew back.
Masaki held his hand out pulling Reign off the desk. He put her face in his hands noticing the crimson trickling down her cheek; due to the sword.
“Are you okay?” his voice became lowered.
“My place Masaki. It's being destroyed,” her eyes swelled up a bit trying to break eye contact.
“But are you okay?” He gently wiped the tears from her face.
Nodding, she looked over seeing the younger ones in their zone. It was almost hard to look away from them. They were strong though, there was no denying that. It was a blessing they showed up when they did.
Kurenai, Ivy, and Siyeon were head to head with some goons as they exchanged hits. By this time, it was an even match. Hiro grabbed the chained leash hanging on the wall wrapping it around his arm, swinging as he hit the ones trying to attack them. The three were captivated by this sight. He singlehandedly took them out, they began dropping one by one. He helped Kurenai by fending off ones that were trying to get cheap shots in. Kurenai had her own chain sickle as she wrapped it around their legs, causing them to lose balance.
Masaki took over on fighting the samurai, keeping him away from Reign. It was annoying to him that they were trying to completely destroy this woman for no reason. Why she was being targeted was the main question. It was also out of character that they were intimidating women. Just as Reign had predicted, her waiting room and the surrounding offices were being reduced to rubble. She would have no choice but to close after they survived this attack. If she was going down, she was going to make it worth it.
Reign let down her hair as she pulled her hair sticks out. The one named Kirinji had Murayama by the collar. He attempted a head butt, as her hair stick went coursing through the air landing in Kirinji’s hand. He let out a yell as his hand started bleeding, letting go. Murayama stood captivated by the woman, smiling. She was using them like shurikens. This was something he had never seen before. Reign was skilled in it as she started dropping the goons like flies.
“Get out of my office and tell your boss, Nikaido I will never falter to him,” she growled at Kirinji.
“Furuya, she's our queen. Protect her at all costs!” his yell echoed in the room as his friends all surrounded her putting up a wall.
Finally, they overcame the fight as the remaining goons shuffled out one by one. They knew this battle was a lost one. Masaki landed one last hit on the guy as he fell, visibly knocked out. He was carried out by several others. Murayama and his brother carried the ones unconscious out to the dumpsters on the other side of the street.
They entered the building again to Reign just staring at the destruction. His smile turned to a frown quickly as he looked over to Furuya.
“My emotions are controlled by her. This is interesting Furuya, we should help her clean up. Send word to Oya and maybe Rocky to help as well, pronto,” he walked over to the supply closet grabbing things out handing them off to his crew.
“Boss, you think Rocky will help?”
“I know he will.”
Reign noticed Masaki had gotten cut by the stranger. She walked out of the waiting room momentarily to grab first aide things. Her schedule was going to be filled with stitching people up. Reign interrupted Masaki while he was talking to Hiroto. He looked down confused before smirking. She sat him in a chair, taking off his jacket, revealing the gash on his arm. She threaded the needle nudging closer to him. He looked over at her, noticing her eyes. They were an entrancing jade that glistened in the light, encircled by a light brown ring. She met his gaze, deciding to finally smile at him first. Reign was even more beautiful than before to him. After a few minutes, she was placing the final stitch. Her stitching was precise and clean. Masaki looked at his arm giving her his seal of approval before standing, placing his jacket back on. She went to work on Murayama's friends making sure their wounds were thoroughly cleaned.
“I’m sorry about your place,” Murayama was sitting in the chair next to her while she prepped a needle for him. He spun around warranting a smirk from her.
“It sucks, but it’ll be okay. I’m glad none of you got too terribly hurt. Why did you come in here anyways if you didn’t have any animals?”
“We don’t like bullies, or Kuryu. The fact that both were here, well we wanted to have fun,” he spoke proudly about being able to fight.
“Well, thank you. I appreciate you all for cleaning as well.”
The members were throwing out the furniture since none of it was salvageable. She sighed seeing the waiting room become depressingly empty. Reign stitched Murayama up, it was amazing he sat still the entire time. This kid had a high pain tolerance.
“Reign, you okay?” Kurenai, Siyeon, and Ivy approached her.
“I’m okay. Just thinking is all,” her hand went to her stomach. Reign was in pain once more. Masaki noticed her body language walking over to her. She sat down gripping the table while he kneeled in front of her.
“Will you let me see?”
“I’m okay Masaki.”
“You're not,” he raised her shirt noticing blood. “you have new injuries, but my stitches held up well.
She packed her items back up sauntering into the disinfectant room.
“You’re not thinking about closing are you?”
“Not today at least. I lost all my employees, clients, and other important items. I have nothing left standing, so if something doesn’t give, it’ll just be a matter of time.”
She slowly walked back into the waiting room, everyone’s focus on her. Unbeknownst to her, the conversation was heard by the others. Reign didn’t realize her voice carried since the place was empty. This veterinary office had been here for years. Reign worked hard to get where she was, only for it to begin to fall right out from under her feet.
“Thank you everyone for your help, but I’m going home. Have a great night,” Reign opened the door watching the building starting to get empty.
Her friends and the brothers were the only ones left. It was noticeable to them that she was troubled. Reign locked the doors as they all got on their bikes. Masaki stood blocking her from leaving so soon.
“We’ll catch up,” he motioned to Hiroto.
“What is it Masaki?”
“Holding in emotions is okay every now and then, but doesn’t it get tiring?”
“I'm fine. The only thing that matters is everyone else is alive. This is just material things, and these things can be replaced. I can find a new trade if needed.”
“I’m not talking about material things. I’m talking about you. I see you as putting everyone else above yourself, so that leaves no time for you; or your happiness.”
Reign didn’t want to have this conversation as he was unraveling her hidden worries. She got off her bike, all she wanted at the moment was to walk. He followed her wanting her to open up to him. Masaki grabbed her arm forcefully pulling her into him. She just stood frozen.
“Humans are naturally horrible creatures. Look at what happened today, these past few days even.”
“Reign, I’m not going to hurt you intentionally. I have no plans to play around with your emotions. I’d like for you to see me as something more than a possible casualty,” his words flowed so well she stayed in his arms.
A thunder clap jolted Reign as a downpour happened above them. He grabbed her hand pulling her back under the awning in front of the door. She unlocked the door so they could wait out the heavy rain. Once inside, they sat down their items and just sat on the floor. Reign would look at Masaki every now and then, as he glanced around the office. It did look odd being completely empty, compared to a few days prior.
“Okay, so let's say we give this a try. I have skeletons in my closet, how do I know you can handle them when, not if, it's all revealed?”
Her questioning grabbed his attention. It was out of the blue, and unexpected. He sat thinking, wondering what exactly she meant.
“Can you at least give me the choice and chance to figure that out when the time comes? Nothing so far is leading me to believe you are not a catch.”
“If we do decide to go through with this decision, we communicate more; starting now.”
“That’s fair, but you have to let your walls down,” he grabbed a piece of wood as he bounced it on the floor.
“That's quite terrifying to think about actually,” she looked up at Masaki staring her down.
“You don't have to give an answer right away. But Murayama is in love. That kid is unhinged. Using hair sticks to fend off people excited his psychotic little heart. In his eyes, you two are married now,” he laid back chuckling thinking about the expression on his face.
Reign smirked as she stood up. There were candles somewhere just in case they lost power. “How did you know I was being attacked again?” She found the box she was searching for.
“I just had a sudden feeling to come check on you. Can’t really explain it past that.”
“Well,” she rose up out of the box, “thank you for being in tune like that. I rarely get scared, but that sword yielding guy was slightly terrifying. I have a bad feeling I won’t be seeing the last of him.”
Masaki nodded, he knew that she wasn’t going to see the last of him. From past experiences with that guy, he was persistent. Reign leaned back looking at the ceiling, feeling Masaki’s eyes on her. She glanced over at him as they gazed into each other's eyes. She cleared her throat as she looked away. His gaze was alluring. The power went out as they lit the candles, deciding that riding out the storm was the best option. He sat closer to her noticing she was getting cold from a mix of the rain and the weather dropping. Masaki wrapped his leathers around her shoulders as he scooted away. He wasn’t going to push, but offer her many openings to get closer to him.

The loud round of applause echoed as a deep male voice spoke. A certain girl hummed, dusting off her clothes as she stood up from her comfy seat. Her eyes glossed over the wall clock in the common room, a smile tugging at her lips.
"Ah, it's already time."
This announcement was like her routine; whenever the match ended, she would head over to the exit of the stage, awaiting the fighters who just finished. However, she doesn't just do this for everyone, after all, she also has responsibilities to do in the household. The only time that she would go out of her way to finish her tasks early and receive the fighters after their match is when he is included...
"Too bad that I wasn't able to watch the match. But at least I could still greet and accompany them."
The woman elicited a small giggle, making her way toward the arena entryway where they would come out. The soft clank of her low-heeled flats brought about a warm ambiance noise in the halls, and as she was nearing the mahogany double door, it creaked open.
Her (e/c) eyes widened in anticipation, her legs speeding up to greet the gang. "Hey, everyone!"
At her call, the four fighters whipped their attention toward her. Although surprised, they were still expecting her to come, and it made them really happy that a smile bloomed on their faces. But for a certain fluffball, he instead immediately ran towards her and jumped into her arms as soon as he got there.
"Whoah, there, Kācchan!" (Y/n) chuckled as she caught the 3-foot pink ball in her arms.
"Poyo!" chirped Kirby as he blinked cutely and smiled at her. This earned a squeal from the girl as she lightly squeezed his large body.
"I see that you're still favoring Kirby," Zelda commented as she walked over to the two. Her blue eyes scanned the pink fluff ball getting comfy in (Y/n)'s arms before focusing her attention on the woman. "I'm kinda envious."
"You never do this to just anyone, after all," Shulk added, a frown sporting his lips. "It kinda sucks that the lil' guy is always on your mind."
An apologetic smile emerged on her lips as she adjusted Kirby in her hold. In a moment, her hand glossed over the fighter's body as an iridescent light glowed from her palm. Within seconds, Kirby's body shrunk to its original size. The other fighters were in awe at her display of ability.
"I'm sorry, you guys. I didn't mean to ignore you," (Y/n) started, tucking the now small Kirby in her arms as the fluff ball enjoyed being in her hold. She gave them a sweet smile, the corner of her eyes crinkling. "Anyway, great job on your match. Although I wasn't able to watch the fight, I hope you guys enjoyed yourselves."
"Aw~ Thanks, (Y/n). Hopefully, you'll be able to watch our matches more frequently," Zelda simpered, a small blush appearing on her cheeks.
"Hopefully," she nodded.
"Well, I'm hungry," the blonde boy said. "I'll be going on now. See you later, (Y/n)!"
"See you, Shulk," she waved him goodbye.
"See you around as well," Zelda winked at the girl as she followed after Shulk.
"Bye~"
Her gaze lingers on for a while, watching as the two fighters rounded the corner. After they were out of the hallway, she turned her attention to the quiet fighter who had been with them since earlier. Joker stared at her, a smirk plastered on his face though he didn't speak even a word.
"So, what are your plans after this, Ren?"
The ravenette shrugged, though the playful smile didn't leave his face. "Hm. Maybe I could follow you around? I haven't been spending time with you ever since I came here, after all."
"Sly flirting isn't getting you anywhere with me, Ren," she playfully rolled her eyes. Turning on her heels, she walked a few steps before tilting her head back to look at him. The corner of her lips tugged upwards as her eyes twinkled. "But either way, you're always welcome to accompany me."
"I'll take up your offer then," Joker chuckled to himself, trailing behind the (h/c)-tressed woman with Kirby in her arms.
Tumblr media
As they walked together down the corridor, (Y/n) and Joker engaged in easy conversation, sharing stories and laughter. The presence of the small pink puffball, Kirby, added a sense of light-heartedness to their interactions. Joker was known for his enigmatic persona, but around (Y/n), he seemed more relaxed, revealing glimpses of his true self.
They strolled through the halls of the mansion, exchanging anecdotes about their experiences and getting to know each other better. The atmosphere was comfortable and easy as if they had been friends for a long time. Kirby occasionally chimed in with his adorable noises, as if he were part of the conversation.
As they turned a corner, they found themselves in a quieter section of the building, settling beside the wall. The large row of windows offered a view of the setting sun casting a warm golden hue over the landscape. (Y/n) leaned against the windowsill, gazing outside, lost in thought.
Joker observed her quietly for a moment before speaking, his voice soft. "You seem lost in your own world."
(Y/n) turned her attention back to him, a wistful smile on her lips. "Just reminiscing, I suppose. Sometimes I find solace in the simple moments, like watching the sunset after an eventful day."
He nodded, understanding in his eyes. "I can relate. Life can be so chaotic, especially with what we do. It's important to find those moments of tranquility."
"Poyo!" Kirby let out a contented squeak, snuggling closer to (Y/n) as if agreeing with their sentiment. The three of them shared a silent connection, appreciating the peaceful interlude.
"Hey, Ren," (Y/n) began, her voice carrying a hint of curiosity. "Behind that charismatic mask of yours, what's the real you like?"
Joker's smirk softened into a thoughtful expression. He leaned against the windowsill beside her, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "The real me... I suppose I'm someone who's learned to adapt and improvise. Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges, and I've become quite skilled at navigating through them."
"Sounds like you've had an interesting journey," she remarked, intrigued.
He chuckled. "That's one way to put it. And what about you, (Y/n)? What's the story behind the person I see before me?"
(Y/n) glanced at him, her eyes gleaming with a mix of warmth and vulnerability. "I'm someone who believes in the power of connections. Whether it's with people or the world around me, I find beauty in those moments that bring us closer together."
Joker studied her, his gaze intensifying. "You have a way of making people feel seen and valued."
A faint blush graced her cheeks, but she met his gaze with a steady look. "I think we all have that power within us. It's just a matter of recognizing it."
The sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the hall. Joker and (Y/n) continued to share their thoughts and dreams, their words flowing effortlessly. The bond between them deepened, forged through genuine conversation and mutual understanding.
As the last rays of sunlight faded, (Y/n) turned to Joker with a grin. "Well, Ren, I should probably head back soon. But I'm glad we had this time to talk."
He nodded, a rare softness in his eyes. "Likewise. Let's do this again sometime."
With a final exchange of smiles, they parted ways for the moment, Kirby still nestled comfortably in (Y/n)'s arms. The echoes of their laughter lingered in the hallway, a testament to the unexpected connections that could blossom in the moment.
Tumblr media
In the cozy kitchen of the Smash Mansion, (Y/n) was busy gathering ingredients, and preparing to make a special dessert. Since today is one of the rare days she could relax and treat a certain pink fluffball to her homemade dessert, the (h/c)-tressed woman decided to do just that.
"He's cute even if he's this quiet."
A smile appeared on her lips, gazing fondly at the 3-inch Kirby waddling around the kitchen counter. His blue orbs blinked a couple of times before he flopped down and rocked on his back. Usually, when he's in the kitchen, Kirby would be running around trying to eat anything he sets his eyes on, edible or not.
But (Y/n) wasn't complaining to see how well-behaved the fluffball is right now. Focusing back on her task, the woman started pouring ingredients into a bowl, making the batter first.
She had planned to make strawberry shortcake — one of her signature desserts that Kirby likes a lot. Then, she might make a couple of other cakes and pastries to treat the residents of Smash Mansion.
(Y/n) hummed to herself, an upbeat and gentle tune resonating around the spacious kitchen, bringing a bit of life into her baking session. As the kitchen counter was filled with various raw ingredients waiting to be assembled and baked, a certain pink puffball couldn't help but be entranced by the available food in front of him.
Still in his 3-inch form, Kirby sneaked around the counter, away from (Y/n)'s gaze. His determined oceanic hues were fixated on the bowl of batter in front of him. With a quiet hop, he hung from the edge of the bowl. Immediately, his eyes sparkled at the delicious batter inside.
"Uh-uh—Kācchan," the small fluffball flinched in surprise at her sudden voice, almost falling into the bowl of batter if it wasn't for her fast reaction to catch him by his feet. Now that he was hanging upside down, (Y/n) lifted him up at face level, frowning at him. "No, Kācchan, you can't eat it yet. It's not ready."
"Poyo..." Kirby's face deflated, pouting.
The woman gently set Kirby down on the counter once more, gently rubbing his head in a comforting manner. Although upset that he couldn't just eat anything while she was still working on the dessert, the puffball was more than happy to receive such gestures from his favorite person in the whole world.
"Osha, suki!" he chirped, literal sparkles in his blue orbs.
(Y/n) chuckled at his cuteness and blushed at his honest words. "Thank you, Kācchan. I like you too. Now, wait patiently until I finish your cake, alright?"
Kirby nodded. Smiling at him one last time, the (h/c)-haired woman hurriedly finished her work. He sat there, watching (Y/n) work diligently, his eyes following every move. Although he promised not to eat raw ingredients, he couldn't stop his stomach from growling in anticipation or his mouth watering from the temptations surrounding him.
And that's why (Y/n) had to search for the 3-inch Kirby on the kitchen counter every minute just to make sure that he was not inside a bowl or box of flour for the umpteenth time.
"What am I going to do with you?"
She sighed, setting the flour-covered pink puffball down once more. Once on the marble, Kirby let out an achoo, effectively removing the powder of white from his body, revealing his natural color once more.
"I promise it won't take too long," she said, hoping to pacify the sulking fluffball.
As (Y/n) continued to work her magic in the kitchen, the sweet aroma of baking filled the air, making Kirby's eyes sparkle with anticipation. He couldn't resist the scent, and soon he was perched on the woman's shoulder, his round body quivering with excitement.
"Almost ready, Kācchan," (Y/n) cooed, her hands deftly assembling the layers of the strawberry shortcake. The vibrant red strawberries glistened with a glossy glaze, and the fluffy whipped cream promised a delightful contrast.
A short while later, the strawberry shortcake was finally complete, and (Y/n) carefully sliced a piece for Kirby, placing it on a small plate.
"Poyo!" chirped Kirby, his gaze fixed on the dessert in front of him.
(Y/n]) glanced at Kirby on her shoulder, smiling. "Kācchan, do you want to eat it in your current form or do you want me to make you big?"
Kirby thought for a moment, his tiny pink hand on his round chin. After a minute, he shook his head. "Ie!"
"Alright, Kācchan, dig in."
Kirby wasted no time. With a determined "Poyo!" he leaped forward and dove face-first into the cake, devouring a generous mouthful of strawberries and cream. The (h/c)-tressed woman watched him with a warm smile, enjoying the sight of Kirby's joy.
"Maybe I'll go and make some pies while he's eating..."
Whilst the pink fluffball was busying himself devouring the shortcake made for him. (Y/n) proceeded to prepare more delicious treats for the residents of the Smash Mansion. As Kirby continued to enjoy his strawberry shortcake, (Y/n) worked with a sense of purpose, her hands moving skillfully to create a variety of desserts.
She carefully rolled out pie dough, filled it with sweet fruit fillings, and expertly crimped the edges. The sound of her humming filled the room, harmonizing with the quiet munching sounds coming from Kirby. Soon, the aroma of freshly baked pies and pastries wafted through the air, making the kitchen a haven of delectable scents.
It didn't take long for one of Smash's residents to be drawn by the delicious aroma of (Y/n)'s cooking. A certain blonde Hylian walked in the direction of the kitchen, away from his initial path when he smelled delicious food. Curiously popping his head in, he saw the plethora of pastries on the counter with a (h/c)-haired woman working on it.
"Hm?" pausing her work, (Y/n) whipped her head at the door and saw Link staring at the mountain of desserts on display. She chuckled, pausing her work. "Oh, hello, Link."
Snapping out of his daze at her voice, the blonde hero met her welcoming gaze. The corner of her eyes crinkled, (e/c) hues shining brightly amidst the plain kitchen background. Soon, the man found himself smiling, grunting, and nodding in her direction as a greeting.
"I'm pretty sure Link's also starving."
Chuckling to herself, she ushered the man inside. "Link, can you help me make more desserts for the rest of the fighters? Having more hands on deck would be delightful. Don't worry, you can also try out the treats we made after we finish."
She didn't have to convince Link any further as the thought of food after this was enough to get him to agree. So, with a happy nod, the blonde sauntered over to the woman and awaited her instructions.
As (Y/n) and Link worked side by side in the kitchen, they formed a surprisingly efficient team. (Y/n) demonstrated her baking prowess, guiding Link through the process of making various pastries and desserts. His initial clumsiness gradually gave way to confidence as he followed her instructions, and he even managed to impress her with his quick learning.
Meanwhile, Kirby had finished his strawberry shortcake and was now perched on the kitchen counter, observing the two of them with curiosity. His round eyes moved from (Y/n) to Link and back as if silently approving of their collaboration.
"Phew! There! I think these are enough for everyone," the woman wiped the sweat off her face, proudly looking at the desserts she and Link managed to make in a short span of time.
She glanced at the blonde man beside her, and although he was silently staring at the number of desserts on the kitchen counter, the way he occasionally licked his lips, gulped down his saliva, or tapped his foot indicated that he was trying hard to contain his urge.
(Y/n)'s eyes softened. "You can go ahead and pick any desserts you want to eat, Link."
The man turned to her, eagerness reflected in his cerulean orbs. "...Is it fine?"
"Wow... Since Link rarely speaks, I forgot what his voice sounded like."
Giggling to rid herself of the blush that bloomed on her face, she simpered at the Hylian. "Of course, we made these together. Eating your creation is a delightful reward for a job well done."
Adhering to her words, Link grunted with a nod. Without hesitations, he picked up a clean plate and a pastry knife, cutting pieces of his favorites and putting them on his plate. Then he sat down comfortably on a counter stool, happily munching on the delectable treat they made.
(Y/n) glanced a final time at Link, before focusing on her task — cleaning the kitchen counter, placing the dirty utensils in the sink, and putting away the ingredients they used. After all of those were done, she scanned the area for a certain fluffball.
"Ufufu~ There you are~"
Gently scooping up the 3-inch Kirby in between the plates of pies, she smiled at his sleeping form. Kirby had apparently eaten his fill and was now in a food-induced slumber, his round body rising and falling with each tiny breath. (Y/n) couldn't help but find him utterly adorable in this peaceful state. She carefully cradled the sleeping puffball in her arms, making sure not to wake him as she moved around the kitchen.
"How's it, Link?" she asked, sliding onto the stool beside the blonde Hylian.
"Mhm," he hummed, mouth still full of food. Then, he glanced at the girl beside him, cerulean eyes sparkling and pink dusted his cheeks. "Delicious..."
"You're a messy eater, Link," she chuckled, reaching over to gently clean his face with a napkin.
Link smiled back, blushing a bit at her gesture. "Well, it's worth it for such a tasty cake."
(Y/n) continued to watch Link eat, her heart warm with the joy of making her friends happy. It was moments like these that made the Smash Mansion feel like a true home for everyone, big and small.

The afternoon sun cast a warm, golden hue over the sprawling mansion's garden, as (Y/n) meticulously arranged the tea set on a small table beneath the blooming sakura tree. She glanced at her beloved Kirby, who was comfortably nestled in her arms, his round pink form a stark contrast to the delicate pink blossoms above.
Moments later, she heard footsteps approaching, and a gentle smile graced her lips as Byleth appeared, dressed in his familiar professor's attire.
"Ah, he's finally here."
(Y/n) gestured towards the empty chair across from her. "Byleth, please, have a seat. It's a lovely day for tea in the garden."
Byleth nodded and sat down, his emerald eyes taking in the serene surroundings. "Thank you for inviting me, (Y/n). The garden is beautiful."
The (h/c)-haired woman poured fragrant tea from a delicate porcelain teapot into two cups. "I thought it would be nice to spend some time together and share stories since you're new here. You've seen and experienced so much as a professor and warrior."
Byleth accepted the cup of tea with a grateful nod, his gaze momentarily drifting to Kirby, who was eyeing the tea with curiosity. "Indeed, life at the Officer's Academy was filled with both challenges and joys. It's been quite an adventure."
She gently stroked Kirby's soft, pink head. "And what about you, Byleth? How did you come to be the professor of such an esteemed academy?"
Byleth took a sip of tea, the warm liquid soothing his throat. "It all began when I was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the students of the Black Eagles house. It was a unique opportunity, and I wanted to help guide and protect them."
The woman's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "I've heard tales of your incredible combat skills as well. Is it true that you possess the power of the Crests?"
Byleth nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Yes, I bear the Crest of Flames. It grants me exceptional combat abilities, but it also carries a heavy burden. I've had to confront many challenges, both on and off the battlefield."
Kirby made a small noise, drawing their attention. Byleth chuckled softly and reached out to gently pat the little puffball's head. "And who's this adorable companion of yours?"
"I see that he hadn't encountered Kirby during his stay, huh?"
She smiled affectionately. "This is Kirby, my faithful friend and confidant. He's always by my side, bringing a touch of whimsy to my life as an attendant for everyone."
"I see."
As they continued to sip tea and share stories, the two friends found common ground in their experiences. (Y/n) was enthralled by Byleth's tales of battles fought, students mentored, and the bonds forged at the Officer's Academy. Byleth, in turn, was captivated by the woman's adventures managing the Smash Mansion prior to his arrival.
Under the sakura tree's gentle shade, amidst the delicate petals falling like confetti, their tea time in the garden became a cherished memory—a moment of tranquility and connection between two souls from different worlds, brought together by friendship and shared experiences.
As the afternoon sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm, orange glow over the garden, (Y/n) and Byleth finally concluded their tea time. They exchanged grateful smiles, both appreciating the opportunity to connect with someone who understood the unique challenges they faced in their respective roles.
"I must say, (Y/n), this has been a delightful and peaceful interlude," Byleth remarked, his usually stoic expression softening. "I'm grateful for your hospitality."
(Y/n) nodded, her (e/c) eyes sparkling with warmth. "Likewise, Byleth. It's been wonderful getting to know you better. You have a depth of character that's truly admirable."
Kirby, who had been contentedly watching the exchange, let out a cheerful "Poyo!" as if to express his agreement.
Byleth chuckled, a rare sound that warmed (Y/n)'s heart. "Thank you, both of you. I look forward to more moments like these."
As they rose from their seats, (Y/n) gently cradled Kirby in her arms. The sakura petals continued to fall around them, creating a picturesque scene that felt almost magical.
"Feel free to join us for tea in the garden anytime, Byleth," she offered, her smile genuine.
Byleth nodded, his gratitude evident. "I'll be sure to take you up on that offer. Until then, may our paths cross again soon."
With those parting words, Byleth made his way back towards the mansion, leaving (Y/n) and Kirby to bask in the tranquil beauty of the garden. They watched as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a serene twilight over the world.
"I wonder if the others can take care of themselves without me... I'll go in after a few more minutes."
As the first stars began to twinkle in the evening sky, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over her. The Smash Mansion was filled with unique individuals from different worlds, each with their own stories and challenges. And it was in moments like these, where connections were forged and bonds deepened, that made the mansion truly felt like a home for everyone who resided within its walls.
With Kirby snuggled in her arms, (Y/n) leaned back against the Sakura tree, gazing up at the stars. She knew that more adventures, challenges, and heartwarming moments awaited her in the days to come. But for now, she cherished the peace and friendship that surrounded her, grateful for the extraordinary life she led in this world.
Tumblr media
The night was clear and calm as (Y/n) and Cloud made their way to the roof of the Smash Mansion. Kirby, as always, was perched on her shoulder, his round form a comforting presence. The stars above twinkled brightly, painting a canvas of sparkling wonders.
"Isn't it beautiful up here?" (Y/n) whispered, her (e/c) eyes reflecting the celestial beauty above.
Cloud nodded, his usually stoic expression softened by the starlight. "Yeah, it's a rare moment of tranquility. I've spent a lot of my life under these same stars, on countless different worlds."
(Y/n) settled down on a comfortable spot, sitting cross-legged with Kirby nestled in her lap. "Tell me about it, Cloud. I'd love to hear your stories."
Cloud hesitated for a moment, his gaze fixed on the stars. "Well, I've traveled across different dimensions, battled powerful foes, and faced my own demons. But there's something about looking up at the night sky that makes it all feel...smaller, somehow. It reminds me that there's a vast universe out there, and we're just a small part of it."
(Y/n) listened intently, captivated by his words. "It's amazing how the stars can make us feel both insignificant and connected at the same time."
Cloud nodded, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "Exactly. No matter where we come from, we all share the same sky."
As they continued to gaze at the stars, (Y/n) couldn't help but point out constellations from this world. "Look, there's Orion, the Hunter," she said, tracing the outline with her finger. "And there's the Big Dipper."
Cloud followed her lead, his gaze tracing the constellations. "I never thought I'd see these constellations in person. It's...different."
"Hai~" Kirby, perched on (Y/n)'s lap, let out a happy squeak, as if he, too, appreciated the beauty of the night sky.
Cloud chuckled at Kirby's enthusiasm. "Looks like Kirby agrees."
(Y/n) smiled, her heart warmed by the simple joy of stargazing with her friends. "You know, Cloud, even in the vastness of the universe, we've found a connection here, under these stars."
Cloud turned to her, his blue eyes meeting hers. "Yeah, we have."
With Kirby by their side, (Y/n) and Cloud continued to share stories, pointing out constellations and marveling at the wonders of the night sky. As the hours passed, the bond between them deepened, forged under the celestial canopy that stretched above them.
Under the stars, they found a sense of unity and peace, a reminder that even in a world of warriors and challenges, there were moments of serenity and connection that made it all worthwhile.
Tumblr media
"I hope they would enjoy this..."
The sun was shining brightly in the mansion's courtyard as (Y/n) meticulously set up a charming picnic spread. A checkered blanket was spread out on the lush green grass, and a basket filled with delicious treats sat at its center. (Y/n) had prepared a delightful array of sandwiches, fresh fruit, and an assortment of pastries. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing picnic with her friends.
As she put the finishing touches on the picnic table, she couldn't help but smile, excited to surprise Pit and Kirby with this little treat. The courtyard was a peaceful haven, and she knew it would be the ideal place for some quality time together.
Just as she placed a vase of wildflowers in the center of the table, she heard the familiar sound of flapping wings approaching. Pit descended gracefully, his angelic wings folding behind him as he touched down on the grass.
"Hey, (Y/n)! What's all this?" Pit exclaimed, his azure eyes wide with curiosity.
(Y/n) turned to face him, her smile growing even brighter. "Surprise, Pit! I thought it would be nice to have a picnic together. I've prepared some of your favorite snacks."
Pit's face lit up with excitement, and he eagerly approached the picnic table, inspecting the spread. "Wow, this looks amazing! I can't wait to dig in."
Before he could take a seat, (Y/n) gently held out her hand, stopping him. "Not just yet, Pit. There's one more guest I'm waiting for."
Just then, a playful chirp filled the air, and Kirby floated down from the sky, landing with a soft bounce. He fluttered over to (Y/n), his eyes fixated on the food with a mischievous glint.
"Poyo!" Kirby exclaimed, clearly eager to start eating.
(Y/n) chuckled, patting Kirby's pink head gently. "Hold on, Kirby. Let's wait for Pit, alright?"
"Hai~" Kirby nodded, though his eyes never left the food.
As they waited for Pit to join them, (Y/n) decided to start the conversation. "So, how was your match earlier, Pit?"
Pit's face lit up as he settled onto the blanket. "Oh, it was great! Kirby and I had an intense battle, and there were so many funny moments."
"Poyo!" Kirby chirped as if confirming Pit's statement.
(Y/n) raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Funny moments? Tell me more."
Pit launched into a series of animated stories about the match, detailing the comical mishaps and unexpected twists that occurred. Kirby, perched on the edge of the picnic table, seemed to react to the stories, chirping in agreement or disagreement at various points.
The tales ranged from Kirby using his copy abilities in unexpected ways to Pit accidentally tripping over his own sandals. (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh along with them, finding joy in their camaraderie.
"And then," Pit continued with a grin. "Kirby and I pulled off this amazing combo move that had everyone cheering!"
"Poyo!" Kirby chirped excitedly, clearly proud of their teamwork.
(Y/n) couldn't contain her enthusiasm. "That sounds incredible! Teamwork really makes a difference in these matches."
As they chatted and shared stories, (Y/n) kept a watchful eye on Kirby, who was now eyeing the sandwiches with an almost predatory gleam.
She chuckled and gently tapped Kirby's round body. "Easy there, Kācchan. We'll eat soon."
Kirby let out an adorable pout but nodded in agreement.
Finally, with the sun warming their faces and laughter filling the air, (Y/n), Pit, and Kirby dug into the delicious picnic spread. The sandwiches were a hit, and the fresh fruit added a refreshing touch to the meal. Kirby, in particular, seemed to enjoy everything, his eyes sparkling with delight as he sampled each dish.
As they savored the food and each other's company, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel grateful for these moments of friendship and connection. The courtyard was bathed in golden sunlight, and the laughter of friends echoed under the open sky.
It was a perfect day for a picnic, a reminder that even in a world filled with battles and challenges, there were simple joys to be found in the company of loved ones.

I wrote a fanfic abt my own ocs bc i love them so so much
could be seen as romantic, platonic, or anything really, its sfw btw hell yea
warnings: non sexual nudity, scars
word count: 2064
Akira walked through the swordsmith village, still shaken up from having to be blindfolded, deafened and carried. They were headed to the village's chief along with Amamiya Shie, another demon slayer, the two of them having been told to go speak to him before doing anything else, much to Akira's dismay. They absent-mindedly follow Shie, drowning out the sounds around them, not focusing on anyone or anything they pass.
The meeting went well, at least Akira thought so, they did not pay much attention to what was said. The second they left the chief's house, they started speedwalking to their swordsmith's own residence, what they came for in the first place, not caring whether Shie followed them or not.
A few days ago, Akira had received a letter from Mikane, mentioning a surprise for them, and having requested for their and Shie's presence. Despite being busy with missions, Akira was determined to go, having not seen their first- and so far only- human friend in quite some time now. They went at the same time as Shie, feeling safe enough around him to help handle the sensory hell that was the trip to the village.
Akira quickly reached the house, seeing Kosei, Mikane's younger brother, sweeping dust out of the house peacefully. The teenager quickly noticed the slayer, speaking up in the shaky voice that Akira has grown somewhat used to.
"A-ah, Kitaichi, you're here!" His grasp on the broom tightened under Akira's unchanging cold gaze. "Um, Mikane is waiting for you inside... I-I'll leave now, Amamiya is probably waiting for me." With that, the young swordsmith quickly put the broom back in place and passed by Akira, still too intimidated by them to try and speak to them further.
Akira stepped inside, letting their worn-out boots at the entrance. They looked around the main room, their eyes settling on blades scattered around, some finished, some still in progress, some by Kosei, most by Mikane. Akira had always admired their swordsmith's dedication and talent, and seeing how much work she put on any blade she makes, whether for decoration or for slayers, only deepened that feeling.
"Mikane. I'm here." They raised their voice louder than they're used to, their barely-used vocal chords already straining from the slight volume change alone. Akira heard shuffling and a muffled "In here!" coming from Mikane's bedroom, making them head to it.
They slid the door open, their neutral expression turning into one of surprise as Mikane just stood there, not wearing her swordsmith mask, a large grin on her face as her hands hid behind her back. "Hi there, Kira!" Akira stays silent for a few seconds before speaking up. "Hello. You said you had something for me?"
Mikane's expression turned more excited. "Yeah! Since we're starting to get along better, I wanted to make you a little something!" Akira tilted their head to the side in confusion. "That's completely unnecessary though. Why would you do that?" "Just felt like it!" Mikane shrugged. "Hand over your blades and get out for a minute, you'll see!"
After doing what was asked of them, Akira stood patiently outside the bedroom, absent-mindedly picking at their nails and the skin around it. Not too long after, they were snapped out of their daze by the sound of the bedroom door, their head turning towards where Mikane stood proudly.
"Sorry for the wait! Here, look at this!" Mikane excitedly shoved one of Akira's daggers into their hands, much to their confusion. "Huh? What do y-" "Just look!!" Akira raised a brow, but soon enough lowered their gaze, their eyes focusing on the blade. Mikane looked at them with sparkling eyes, waiting for them to notice what she added.
After a couple seconds, Akira's eyes widened, finally noticing the guard, much to Mikane's joy. "So? Do you like it?" They nodded at her question as their fingers traced the snowflake pattern, honestly impressed by the work Mikane put in her gift. Mikane bounced a little in joy and went back into the bedroom to get the other blades, Akira following without thinking.
Mikane handed over the tantō's sheath, along with the second dagger and the katana, both also having brand new snowflake-shaped guards. The faintest hint of a smile crept its way on Akira's face at the sight, a warm feeling spreading throughout their chest. "Thank you." Mikane's face lit up even more, feeling giddy from Akira's slight smile.
Akira slid their tantō in its sheath, setting it and their other blades at their sides. Their gaze fell to the ground, fidgeting with their own fingers while they waited for anything to happen, not having anything to add to the conversation. Mikane silently enjoyed the peaceful, friendly silence for a couple more seconds before clapping her hands together.
"Anyway! You smell like shit, I'm guessing you're still not taking proper care of yourself, huh Kira?" The slayer turned their head away, wanting to avoid the question, which only resulted in making Mikane chuckle. "I'm right, aren't I? Come on, today is going to be self care for you!" Akira shook their head, already starting to walk away to escape Mikane's pampering.
Akira felt a tug on their sleeve, already knowing what was about to happen. "Akiraaaaa! Let me take care of youuuuuu!" They looked behind them and their suspicions were confirmed. Mikane looked up at them with a sad, pouty face, successfully managing to male the slayer's eyes soften. "You don't do anything for yourself, at least let me do something!"
Akira looked away, then let out a deep sigh. "Fine, just once, alright?" Mikane threw her arms up in joy, letting out a victory cry. She quickly headed towards her bedroom to grab her mask. "We're going to the hot springs, you can leave your weapons here if you want!"
Akira hesitated for a few seconds, but ultimately chose to do as Mikane said, setting their blades on a table in the living room. The swordsmith soon passed by them, already sliding open the front door. She looked back at them, bouncing happily on her feet, and a small smile forming on Akira's lips again. They quickly caught up, the two soon walking side by side to the springs.
Once they arrived, Mikane drags Akira to one of her favorite spots, one not known by most slayers but well-liked by swordsmiths, a perfect spot to be alone and unbothered by others. Mikane quickly undressed and got in the water, not minding Akira's presence. The slayer gazed away with a faint blush, nervously picking at their nails.
"Shouldn't I... you know... clean up before getting in..?" Mikane looks back at them, laughing a little. "Yeah, my bad, I forgot! This spring has something for that around though, I'll show you!" Akira sighed at her forgetfulness, then quickly looked away once more as she got out of the water, their blush deepening slightly.
They timidly and slowly removed their dirty worn-out coat, and started undoing their belt. "You don't need to be embarrassed, I'm not gonna judge you." Their eyes snapped towards the swordsmith, then back at the ground as she got closer. They stayed silent, even when they felt her hands starting to undo their uniform's button.
If it was anyone else, they would probably be biting and scratching, their skin feeling as if it was burning at the touch. But instead they stood still, the care and attentiveness in each movement made them feel comfortable and safe, and soon enough the bandages on their chest were the only thing left on their body.
They shyly covered themself as Mikane carefully took off their bandages, the tightness of them leaving red marks on their pale scarred skin. The swordsmith gently took the slayer's hand, pulling them towards the washing part of the spring, and sat them down. Akira let the water run over them, shuddering once they felt Mikane's hands starting to massage their scalp, not used to the sensation.
The odd feeling did not leave the slayer as she washed their hair, a constant shiver running down their spine and holding back from moving away. They felt her being careful, having noticed their conflicting feelings over her touch, and their chest felt warm again.
They've always noticed how considerate she was towards them, from modifying their katana to fit their left-handedness better, to trying to watch her tone to not overwhelm them, to making sure all of her touches are easy to get away from. And each time without fail, their chest would warm up, feeling more comfortable around her. She was their friend. She was their spark of hope, a blooming flower in the rot they saw as humanity.
They were snapped out of their thoughts as they felt their eyes and nose sting. They tried to ignore the feeling to not alert Mikane, feeling her hands move from their scalp to their shoulders. She made no comment on how tense they were, knowing that the touch was the cause, but continuing to gently wash and massage the slayer, as they haven't moved away or asked her to stop.
After going over their shoulders and back, Mikane pulled her hands away. A few seconds passed, and Akira looked over their shoulders to Mikane, which made her smile. "What, you want me to wash your whole body or something?" The slayer looked down, a soft blush dusting their cheeks. "No." Mikane chuckled and gently ruffled Akira's hair, walking away as they started to continue cleaning themself.
Soon enough, Akira finished and got up, heading back towards the hot spring, where Mikane was relaxing, facing away from them. They slid in the water, a bit further away from her. They felt the warm water soothe the tension and pain in their body, closing their eyes and humming contentedly at the sensation.
Mikane smiled, glad to see Akira enjoying the calming moment they were spending together. Her eyes were glued on them, tracing each of the scars visible, focusing on their relaxed face, following any droplet sliding down their hair or skin.
Akira's eyes fluttered open, glancing quickly at Mikane before looking away with a faint blush. "Stop staring at me. It's weird." Mikane chuckled quietly and tilted her head back to look up at the sky. "Sorry, sorry, I couldn't help it! You have so many scars, I love looking."
Akira's eyebrows raised, though hidden by their bangs, and they looked at Mikane again. "That's a very weird thing to say, you know?" "Hah, as if you don't do the same! You know I do see you looking at my burn, right? Just because one of my eyes is blind doesn't mean the other doesn't notice!" She laughed as Akira splashed her, their cheeks dusted with a light but visible pink. "Shut up." They soon settled, a peaceful silence filling the air as they both relaxed in the hot water of the spring.
After a while, Mikane broke the silence, though she spoke in a soft, quiet tone. "Thank you." Akira turned to her with a puzzled look on their face. "For what?"
"Just... Being here. Being my friend. Opening up to me."
"..."
Akira turned to look in front of them again.
"I should be the one thanking you."
Mikane smiled softly. "Is that so?" Akira nodded, though neither were looking at each other. "Yeah. I may not show it much but..." They looked up, sinking slightly deeper in the water, not managing to finish their sentence.
"I get it. You mean a lot to me too, Kira." They smiled slightly as Mikane spoke up. She always found a way to read the deepest parts or their heat somehow. Or maybe she did have gut feelings that never lied like she claimed. Either way, they appreciated not having to step too far out of their comfort zone around her, each step was on their own terms, they could go back at any time they wanted.
Taking a deep breath, Akira scooted closer to the swordsmith until they nearly touched. Neither said anything, but both knew how the other felt, even with no words spoken. They simply sat in the hot spring's water peacefully.
Eventually, a small contact was made, just a small bump shoulder to shoulder from Akira. Both remained silent still, though the bump was returned, a smile on both of their faces.

"Come to me, Antigone!" - a Persona 5 fanfic
Summary:
Akira Kurusu-Amamiya is exploring a Palace. His childhood best friend, Meg Roseman, had followed him.
In his most dire moment, trapped by the shadow of this Palace's Monarch, she surprises the Monarch and saves Akira's life.
Meg has awakened their Persona.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Akira Kurusu-Amamiya looked into piercing gold eyes. The Monarch towered over him, pinning him to the floor. His hands were bound to his sides, prohibiting him from reaching his mask. The sheer half-mask burned against his skin, thrumming with power. He longed to tear the material from his face, and unleash Arsene's power upon this Monarch. At least Meg was hidden, assuming she stayed where he told her to.
"I won't let you hurt him! Not like Riker!"
Goddammit. Meg did not stay where he told her to.
Akira twisted his head to find Meg, and swore under his breath when he didn't see them. That was, until their voice rang out from the top of the room's grand staircase.
"I won't let anyone else I love get hurt! I will protect them with all I can!"
The Monarch was distracted, yet Akira didn't take the opportunity to free himself. He was just as distracted as the Monarch. Meg's hands dug at its face, freeing purple leather from tanned skin. Blood bubbled at the surface where the mask had been, barely avoiding pouring down its face.
"Come to me, Antigone!"
Akira almost laughed with delight when Meg's Persona appeared. The Persona, Antigone, was the form of a young woman. She looked as if she had stepped from an old Greek art piece. A single tear rolled down her cheek. Meg pointed at the Monarch, and a blast of curse magic knocked the wretch off-balance. Akira took the opportunity to leap to his feet, following Meg down the Palace's winding halls.
♡♡♡♡♡
Akira ducked into a small room, following Meg. Meg smiled weakly at him. A purple leather band served as her mask, obscuring her eyes.
"How do you see through that?" Akira questioned, an eyebrow raised. Meg laughed.
"I don't fucking know," she told him, still laughing. He rolled his eyes affectionately, taking in the rest of its uniform.
The heart-shaped necklace she always wore, a gift from Riker, was still around her neck. They wore a dark purple sleeveless top, dark pink pads adorning their shoulders. A brown belt held up her pink pants, torn red fabric hanging around her waist. Its feet were encased in boots that matched the shoulder pads. A faux lizard's tail was attached to the belt.
The tail made his thoughts flash to his brother, who had described two of his friends having tails on their costumes.
Meg twirled and posed, drawing Akira out of his thoughts. He smiled at her, and she returned it. It leapt forward, flinging its arms around his neck in a tight embrace. He hugged back just as tight.
"That was impressive," Akira told her, "thanks for the save." Meg released their hold on him, smiling warmly.
"Of course. You're family to me, and I don't want to see you get hurt," they told him. Akira laughed. Meg took his hand, exiting the room with him in tow.
"We should probably get out of here," it told him, "I'm exhausted." Akira nodded in agreement.
"Ren told me that awakening your Persona is exhausting. Having experienced it, can confirm," he laughed.
♡♡♡♡♡
Back in the real world, Meg turned to Akira.
"Well, I'm going back to my place. I'm taking a nap." She thought for a minute before saying, "You can come over if you want. I won't be very interesting, but it's better than sitting around at your place I'd think."
Akira accepted, and the two departed for Meg's house.

Mini Fanfic #536: We Love You, Ren! (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)
2:00a a.m. at Smash Mansion's Living Room.......
Ren: (Sitting on the Living Room's Sofa, Looking Down on the Floor in a Sad, Tired Manner) ('Sighs Heavily')..........
?????: Renny?
In a matter of seconds, Ren quickly looks up, turns around and see that the person who called his name was none other than one of his now official adopted mothers, Bayonetta, who is staring at her with concern in her eyes.
Ren: Oh! Uh....Hey, mom. What are you doing up so late?
Bayonetta: Wondering why the living room's light was on. What's wrong, sweetheart? Why are you up this late as well?
Ren: I was just uhh.... Enjoying the atmosphere so far. ('Heh') Pretty.... normal so far......
Bayonetta: (Crosses her Arms) Renny, please be honest with me, dear. I know something is wrong with you the moment I stepped down those stairs. Now tell me.... Did you had a bad dream tonight?
Ren: ('Sighs in Defeat') Yeah....I did....It was.... Pretty bad to say the least..... B-But I'm pretty sure it was stupid anyways.
Bayonetta: It doesn't matter to me if this dream of yours was stupid or not. (Made her way to the Sofa and Sat Right Next to Ren) What's important to me now is that dream in particular is bothering my baby boy to the point of waking up in the middle of the night.....And all I really want to do right now, as a mother, is to listen and help you the best way I can, but only if you talk to me about this. Please....
Ren: (Took a Deep Breath Before Speaking Again) Okay. So....I don't wanna go into too much detail the dream, but.....long story short, I....dreamt that.....you, other mom, Pit, Pitto, all of my friends from Shiyuba, and.....even everyone here......hates me.....That....you all said that....I was a nuisance......that I was in everyone's way.......a waste of space.....(Tears Start Falling Down on his Face) that you don't want anything to do with me anymore.....('Sniff') and then after that.....you all vanished...... leaving me.....('Sniff') in the dark..... alone.....
Bayonetta: (Immediately Hugs Ren in a Loving Matter) Oh my poor baby, I'm so sorry.....
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly....and Sadly) See? ('Sniff') I told you....('Sniff') The dream was stupid.
Bayonetta: Renny, no. It wasn't stupid at all. It is worrying me to no end now because what everyone of us said to you in that dream of yours is very FAR from the truth. We do not think of you a nuisance, a waste of space, or any other terrible things that version of us told you. You are our everything, Ren Amamiya!......And we love you...(Tears Fell Down Her Face) ('Sniff') We love you so so very much everyday......
Ren: (Immediately Hugs Bayonetta Back) H-Hey! Mom, don't cry! I believe you guys one hundred percent. I promise.
Bayonetta: I know you do, sweetheart, and I never doubted you for a second. ('Sniff') I just wanted to tell you that from the bottom of my heart.
Ren: And it definitely shows. It just that..... Honestly.... I'm not even sure what that dream came from. It's like....it just came out of nowhere and everything, you know?
Bayonetta: I can believe that. Dreams does work in mysterious ways after all. But if you ask me, I really want you to try your hardest not to let it get to you. (Gently Holds Ren's Hands) Because at the end of the day, no matter how many people would try and say otherwise, you, Ren Amimaya, mean so much to each and everyone of us in this mansion and in Shiyuba. Promise me you'll do your best to remember that for as long as you live.....(Kiss the Top of One of Ren's Hands) Okay?
Ren: (Smiles Softly While Using his Other Hand to Wipe the Tears Away) Yeah.......('Sniff') I promise. (Chuckles Lightly) Sorry you had to see me like that. Usually whenever I cry, it... mostly have to deal with me getting pulled to the edge. Emotionally speaking. Plus....I know you used to be annoyed with seeing people cry in general, so....
Bayonetta: "Annoyed" (Giggles Softly) Oho, sweetheart, trust me, I am way past being annoyed with it now. You seem to forget that your mother and I cry almost all the time nowadays. It's a miracle I don't have that much masscara on tonight. My face would be a complete mess.
Ren: Are you kidding? With and without any masscara or make-up, you and goddess mom would always be beautiful to me. Inside and out.
Bayonetta: (Heart Begins to Melt Happily as She Gives Ren a Big Kiss on the Cheek) I love you so much, Renny. I know I may have technically already told you this a lot tonight, but it's the honest truth.
Ren: (Smiles Softly) I know. And I love you and everyone in my life too, mom. Always.
Bayonetta: (Smiles Softly as She Got Up from the Sofa) So, you are going to be okay now, my dear?
Ren: I going to be okay now that you were here to talk to me. I appreciate it a lot.
Bayonetta: Well, if that's the case......(Picks Ren Up From the Couch, Holding him in a Bridal Carry)
Ren: (Confused) Huh?
Bayonetta: I believe it's high time we head ourselves back to bed, no? (Head Upstairs While Holding Ren in her Arms)
Ren: Yeah, but.....You do know that I can just walk up to my room on my own, right?
Bayonetta: True. But right now, you are going to sleep with your two mommies for the rest of the night.
Ren: (A bit Surprised) Seriously? Are you....sure you want me to sleep with you guys for the night
Bayonetta: (Smiles Softly) Of course I'm sure, my little ray of sunshine. I wanna make absolute sure you have a peaceful sleep tonight. And if it means having you sleep right beside your mother and I, then so be it.
Ren: (Smiles Softly Again) You know, I know said this before, but...you guys really are good moms.
And with that, Bayonetta begins to lovingly gives Ren a bunch of kisses, all while making their way to her and Palutena's room.
Bayonetta and Palutena's Room...
Palutena: (Already Fast Asleep) 'Zzzzzzzzz'
Bayonetta: (Whispers into Palutena's Ear) Pauuuuliiie~
Palutena: (Slowly and Tiredly Begins to Walk) Bayo..... what's- (Turns to see Bayonetta Carry-on Ren in her Arms) Ren? What's going on here?
Bayonetta: Well, as you see, our baby boy here has gotten himself a terrible dream. So I figured that he would be sleeping with us for the rest of the night. (Gently Places Ren on the Bed Right Beside Palutena)
Ren: But only if you're okay with this.
Palutena: (Gives Ren a Tired Yet Soft Smiles) Renny, of course I'm okay with this you sleeping here tonight. (Hugs Ren Lovingly) You are our son now and we would do anything in our power to be there for you no matter.
Bayonetta: (Whispers to Ren with a Smirk on her Face While She Lays Down on her Side of the Bed) Told you so~
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) I know. I know. But really, other mom, thanks. (Gives Palutena a Kiss on Top of her Forehead) I love you.
Palutena: (Gives Ren a Big Kiss on the Cheek) I love you too, Renny.
???: Moms?
Bayonetta: (Turns to see Pit and Dark Pit Standing Besides Her and Palutena's Doorway) Pit? Pitto? What's wrong, our darlings?
Pit: We were just looking for- (Eyes Widened as He Sees his New Big Brother is Already on the Bed with Palutena and Bayonetta) Ren!
Ren: (Waves at Pit and Dark Pit) Hey, guys. What's up?
Dark Pit: Dude, we were looking for you all night.
Pit: (Frowns Worryingly) You wasn't at your bed at the time. So we got up and look for you just so we can try and help.
Dark Pit: (Frowns a Little) You had a bad dream again?
Ren: Yeah, but I'll be fine. Witch mom helped me through it.
Bayonetta: (Proudly Nodded)
Dark Pit: Huh. Well, if that's the case then-
Pit: Can we sleep with you guys for the night? We wanna make sure our big bro is okay.
Dark Pit: (Turns to Pit) Dude, he just said that he's-
Palutena: (Smiles Softly) Of course, sweetie. You two are always welcome to sleep here.
Bayonetta: (Giggles Softly) The more the merrier.
Pit: (Smiles Brightly) Sweet! (Happily Makes his Way to his Mothers' Bed) Make room for us.
Dark Pit: (Sighs in Defeat as He Follows Along) Whatever.
Pit: (Lays Next to Ren and Palutena on His Side) Goodnight, Ren.
Dark Pit: (Lays Next to Ren and Bayonetta on his Side) Try to rest easy, alright? Highly doubt that any of us are ain't anywhere out if this bed.....
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) Sure thing, man. I love you guys.
Pit: We love you too, bro.
And with that, the entire family peaceful went back to sleep together.
Bonus
Next Morning.......
Ren was busy watching television in the living room, when suddenly......
'Doorbell Rang'
Ren: (Made his Way to the Door)
'Door Opens'
Makoto: (Standing in the Doorway with a Very Worried Look on Her Face).....
Ren: (Smiles Softly at Makoto) Hey. You're finally here-
Makoto: Oh, Ren....(Immediately Hugs Ren Lovingly) I got your message and I am so sorry you had to go through with that last night.
Ren: Makoto.
Makoto: I understand that dreams in general can be terrifying most of the time, but it isn't something you could let it get the better of you. No matter how traumatizing it may be at times.
Ren: Makooooto.
Makoto: ('Sniff') And I know I already told you this before and everything, but I wholeheartedly mean it when I say that each and everyone of us loves you with all of our-
Ren: (Gently Pulls Away From Makoto's Embrace while Having his Hands on Both of her Shoulders) Makoto, honey, I'm gonna be fine. Don't worry.
Makoto: (A Little Bit Skeptical and Worried) Are you absolutely sure?
Ren: (Smiles Softly) Yeah. (Kiss the top of Makoto's Forehead) I promise. Mom helped me through it last night.
Makoto: Witch or Goddess?
Ren: Witch. (Chuckles Lightly) Ironically enough, dhe almost said the exact same thing you were about to say to me last night
Makoto: (Blushes a Little) W-Well, it's the honest truth! We love you so much, Ren Amimaya. You mean the world us and I'll be more than happy to tell you that every single day if I have to.
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) Wouldn't mind that for second. Cause I love you guys too. (Hugs Makoto Again) Thanks for coming by here and keeping me company.
Makoto: (Happily Hugs Ren Back) You don't need to thank me, Ren-Ren. I'm always here for you, now matter what. Remember?
Ren: Clearly. So uhh.....You wanna go to the living, binge watch some anime shows, and cuddle the entire day away.
Makoto: (Giggles Softly) I'd love that.

My SSBU Lucina fanfic headcanons
-Like in the main canon, she’s a VERY serious individual who loves her parents (Reflet and Chrom) very dearly. Least likely to get a joke, and most of the time, will always mistaken sarcastic remarks for genuine remarks. But aside from all that, she’s sweet, kindhearted, and very noble to her friends and family.
-Despite her age and incredible skills, she can be VERY childish. To the point where she’ll yell at anybody - including her friends - for insulting or criticizing her father.
-Enjoys pretending to be her ancestor Marth (donning the mask and short hair), but has a bit of a delusional view of how he acts (Lucina believes that Marth acts all high, mighty, boastful, and a somewhat arrogant, but in reality, the real Marth is sweet, noble, and kindhearted as she is, though he can be a bit boastful). This arrogant and boastful behavior would constantly cause her to get into fights with Cloud under this persona.
-Enjoys hanging out with her family as much as possible. She tends to hang out with them moreso than her own friends (though she does genuinely enjoy hanging out with her friends, especially with her fellow dormmates and Cloud’s friends).
-Enjoys spending time inside the tournaments, though she takes her battles with her opponents VERY seriously (although she holds back a bit against her family). But despite that, she engages in these tournaments mostly for fun (and less likely for prize money) and would sometimes request her friends/family to accompany her in doubles, triples, and quadruple battles.
—EXTENDED MUTUAL RELATIONSHIPS—
-Cloud: Loves him. A LOT. But unlike Cloud, who kept his love for her hidden away for a long, LONG, while, Lucina has always loved Cloud ever since they went on a date in the fanfic “The Date”, but didn’t outright state for him until the fanfic “Lucina’s Surprise”. Unlike the main canon, due to being more focused on saving her future from Grima, helping her own team, training with her father, she just didn’t have the time to sit down for romantic connections until Master Hand placed a Time Stopping spell on everybody’s worlds so that way, everybody could enjoy partaking in battles and hang out with each other outside of the Smash tournaments. She didn’t fall in love with anybody until her battle with Cloud from the 4th Smash Tournament. Both share a lot in common and enjoy hanging out with each other, both in and out of tournaments. They sometimes get into fights whenever she’s pretending to be Marth (With Cloud going as far as to sarcastically refer to her “my liege” and her refer to him as “commoner”).
-Palutena: Befriended her when Lucina was pretending to be Marth, then revealed her identity to her the moment they became good friends. Due to Palutena’s eccentric, playful behavior, Lucina would always fall victim to her sarcastic remarks, causing the mischievous goddess to giggle at her serious demeanor. Secretly has a bit of a crush on Lucina, viewing herself as a princess in needing of a handsome “prince” like Lucina, calling the blue-haired woman her “favorite little mortal” and sometimes get into silly fights with Cloud due to his love for the Princess.
-Richter: One of her closest friends ever since he arrived in the 5th Smash Tournament. Both view each other as comrade-in-arms/brother-and-sister team and fought Dracula once ever since he ordered Death to kill Luigi.
-Kamui (Female Corrin): One of her closest friends since the 4th Smash Tournament. Like Palutena, Kamui also has a bit of a crush on Lucina, unintentionally causing her and Cloud share a friendly rivalry with one another.
-Shulk: Yet another one of her closest friends since the 4th Smash Tournament. Shulk befriended her ever since he rescued her via Vision from Bowser, and both have also been on good terms ever since.
-Zelda: Successfully made friends with both her SSB4 and SSBU counterparts, due to SSB4!Zelda’s calm and serious demeanor, and also due to SSBU!Zelda’s more upbeat, bubbly, cheerful nature, they two act more like sisters than friends (due to their royal nature, and much like how Cloud acts like a brother to Shulk).
-Link: Like Zelda, also made friends with both his SSB4 AND SSBU counterparts, and due to her good-hearted relationship with Zelda.
-Samus: Views her as a teacher/tutor ever since Lucina was introduced into the 4th Smash Tournament. And remains to be good friends with her.
-Daisy: Unlike SSBU!Zelda, Lucina views her in a bit of a different light. Because she comes off as rather sassy, loudmouthed, domineering, hubristic, and a bit of a sore loser whenever she loses, Lucina, while respescting her, views her as a bit annoying and a nuisance, but doesn’t outright hate her.
-Ren Amamiya/Joker: INSTANTLY became good friends with him ever since Ren was brought over to her and Cloud to show him the ropes of how the 5th Smash Tournament works.
-Chrom: Like in the main canon, really, really, really loves and respects her father dearly. To point where if anybody spoke ill of Chrom, she would immediately demand them to fight her or outright yell at them.
-Reflet (Female Robin): Got off on the wrong foot at first (due to Lucina accusing her of stealing and seducing Chrom away, then angrily demanding Reflet to fall in love with him, much to Reflet’s bafflement), but slowly made up for it as time went on, then officially became the daughter of the Tactician when she married Chrom outside of the tournaments.
-Marth: Like Chrom, also loves, respects, and holds him in high regard due to him being her ancestor. But not to the same level as Chrom and her mother.
-Captain Falcon: Got off on the wrong foot due to his brutal beatdown of Chrom, but very slowly made up for it as time went on.
-Pit: Due to Pit’s gullible nature, he instantly mistakened her for another Marth, but eventually found out she wasn’t another Marth and became fast friends with her thanks to Palutena.
-Luigi: Protects him at times alongside Richter from the likes of Ridley, Dracula, etc...
-Ganondorf: Like Cloud, also despises him due to picking a fight with her and Cloud (as well as brainwashing Palutena one time). His incredibly arrogant and sadistic behavior reminds her too much of Grima.
-Meta Knight: The normally serious and no-nonsensical Lucina immediately started to fawn over Meta Knight the moment she met him, due to his “awesome, yet cute” appearance, and desperately wants to become his student, but to no avail.

Reign started to stir as she felt heavy. Her head was pounding, feeling as a train ran her over. She rolled over seeing pillows separating her and Masaki. She looked down noticing his leathers were on her backwards.
“Masaki, what the hell?” She couldn't help but laugh and be confused all in the same breath.
He grinned, opening his eyes, stretching a bit sitting up, “I don’t know if you know this Reign, but you get frisky when you're drunk. I made a pillow fort and put you in my jacket, backwards mind you, to protect my innocence.”
“You put me in a straightjacket?” She looked in the mirror, trying to confirm what she was seeing.
“To protect the sanctity of my innocence.”
“Your innocence huh? Masaki, I believe a lot of things, but you being a hundred percent innocent is not one of them.”
He rubbed his hair amused at the whole situation. “You tried to molest me, I had to prevent that.”
“How long do I have to stay in this homemade straightjacket?”
“Until your sexual deviations are gone.”
Reign furrowed her eyes. She was going to get out of it one way or another. No matter how hard she tried, she could not reach the zipper due to his leather jacket being stiff. Masaki got up putting on his shirt, he kissed Reign on her head as he walked out. She threw on her joggers searching for Kurenai. Maybe her best friend would help her out of this conundrum. Reign got to the bottom of the stairs noticing everyone in the kitchen. They were all seemingly in an important discussion. All eyes were on hers, snickering coming from the guys.
“Kure. . My sweet, beautiful friend. . Can I have your assistance with this zipper.”
Kure just looked dumbfounded, sharing glances between her and Masaki. A smirk befell her lips before answering.
“I have so many questions right now. First, why are you wearing the jacket backwards?”
“We have a comedian in the house, that goes by the stage name Masaki. He put me in this.”
“Tell them why,” he gestured his hand before taking a bite out of the orange in his hand.
“Listen, no. Nothing I say makes this any less awkward for me.”
Saikon circled her laughing like he’d heard the best joke. “How drunk did you get to put a jacket on backwards? I thought you could hold your liquor?”
“Saikon I didn’t ask for your input.”
“You’re still dancing around the reason Reign,” Masaki’s dimples showed.
“Is nobody planning to help me?” Reign tried to cross her arms but was unsuccessful.
As if nothing could get worse, Reign heard Sisi's obnoxious cackle behind her. If the samurai decided to just appear out of thin air and stab Reign, it would be better than to hear her mouth about the situation. She closed her eyes trying to envision a time nicer than this, to help cool her off. When she opened her eyes again, Kenshin was bent over the island laughing.
Reign turned slightly glaring at Masaki. “Shut up Sisi.”
“Reign do me a favor, lift your arms a bit,” Siyeon sat down.
“I’m done with everyone in this room. Masaki, you don’t play fair.”
“What did you do?” Ivy circled her.
“Nothing that concerns anyone in this room. I guess I’ll have to call Murayama to get me out of this jacket,” Reign headed towards the door, smirking just knowing he’d help then.
“Tell him I said hi.”
She stopped. He was calling her bluff.
“What do I have to do to get out this jacket?” she tried to whisper as low as she could, “I promise I won't get fresh with you.”
Everyone's mouth gaped open. Masaki smiled as he walked over to her, her cheeks filled will blush, “At least not when you're drunk,” he whispered in her ear.
Reign heard her freedom in the form of a zipper. Looking back at Masaki, she glared. A cup of coffee stole her attention as she grabbed it before heading upstairs.
“Reign that was mine,” Saikon was offended she took it.
“Call it your asshole tax,” she sipped it walking up the stairs.
“I don’t like to pry, but you probably just friend zoned yourself,” Kenshin patted Masaki on the back.
“On the contrary, I just built a great foundation. I didn’t want our first time to be on the account that she was under the influence,” Masaki poured coffee joining the people at the table.
“He will never allow that to happen,” Hiroto fist bumped his brother proudly.
Reign joined back downstairs after a shower and a change of clothes. She felt better, but started to feel regret about coming onto Masaki. That wasn't like her, but she did drink a lot. She got a phone call excusing herself out the room.
“Oneesan, come quick. Something’s wrong with your clinic!”
From what she was called, it could only be one of the three from Oya. She rushed into the kitchen grabbing her jacket and keys, without saying a word. Everyone looked at the panic on her face, chasing behind her. She jumped on her bike with nothing on her mind but getting to her clinic. She about had her fill on the whole Casino project. Whoever decided to try and mess with her today would pay.
After a couple of minutes of riding, she arrived to the clinic. She parked her bike grabbing a weapon out of her saddle bag. With the flick of her wrist, the weapon expanded in her hand. She saw a lot of figures standing around, but the tall figure that had his back towards her was the closest. Reign grabbed her hair sticks, placing them intricately in her hair. She took off as quickly, but quietly, as she could not to tip him off. Reign jumped up using the chair next to him. She brought the stick around, wrapping her legs around him, bringing them down; tightening her grip.
The guy was stumped as to how this happened so quickly. A few minutes of them squirming on the ground, Kurenai and the others ran in turning on the light.
“Reign! I think that’s one of the Oya boys!” Kurenai and the others were yelling.
Reign had Furuya in the choke hold. She looked down as he looked up at her; she released her hold.
“I’m so sorry Furuya.”
“Oneesan, you sure you don't want to come to Oya? That's Oya spirit!”
Murayama and Seki started clapping and jumping around happily. Furuya stood up rubbing his neck, entranced by what just happened. He immediately sat down in the chair, just watching Reign. He’d never gotten jumped by a woman before; a tiny one nonetheless.
“Murayama, what the hell? You said something was wrong with my clinic.”
“I didn’t say anything bad. I just meant your new employees didn’t have their boss here. I like where your mind went with this though Oneesan .”
Reign rested her face in her hands. When she looked up, she saw a whole room of people. She only recognized the ones from her home and the three from Oya.
“My new employees? Where Murayama?”
He made a huge circle in the center of the room, smiling, “Us Oneesan, we're your new employees.” His crew smiled and waved.
Reign crossed her arms, “You’re serious?”
“Of course. We can’t have sick animals in the district. You have a job to do, we want to help.”
“This is very kind of you all but I have no way to pay you all at the moment without clients.”
“We’ll comprise a contract Oneesan don’t you worry,” Seki was excited.
Kurenai and the others were also confused, right alongside Reign. She still had her arms crossed pacing the floor.
“What about the hours you all have class?”
“Oneesan,” Murayama’s face turned to a frown.
“Murayama, I do appreciate the sentiment, I really do, but during the day I’d have no one to help me.”
“We could take turns Oneesan,” Seki interjected.
“There are labor laws I have to abide by guys. The only thing I can think of is having temporary hours.”
She saw how passionate these kids were about helping her, she didn’t want to shoot down their offer. It would keep them out of trouble outside of their class. She thought long and hard about their offer.
“Oneesan, we can find others that might help,” Murayama looked defeated as he laid down.
Reign paced her floor in deep thought. “Can you guys be here from three to six?”
“So you'll consider our offer Oneesan ?”
“Probably against my better judgement, but yes.”
All the boys from Oya yelled as they ran to Reign hugging her; Furuya being the first one. She couldn’t help but laugh from their excitement.
“Three to six, you probably won’t be able to do anything but check people in, take payment, and disinfect after every customer. Is this understood?”
“Of course, we will not let you down.”
Reign smiled, “We’ll start this on Monday. If you’re late, you have to deal with my wrath. Get it?”
They all shook their heads excitedly.
“Good, now go home. I don't want to fight your parents,” she ushered them out the door.
Murayama, Seki, and Furuya were the lasts to leave.
“Gosh Oneesan. Your man came through can you believe it?” he grinned tapping his cheek expecting a kiss.
Reign furrowed her eyes smiling, she patted his cheek. “Thank you Murayama.”
“I see you Oneesan. I’ll get a kiss on the cheek one day.”
They walked out strutting. Kurenai, Masaki, and Hiroto approached her.
“The fact that you took Furuya down is impressive.”
“I didn’t know it was them, I just chose the closest to me.”
Reign walked over to the door ready to leave since there was nothing to be done until Monday. Masaki was the last to walk over to the door.
“Can we talk?”
“There’s literally nothing to talk about. I made a fool out of myself. I just want to chop this up as a bad memory and move on,” she locked her door heading to her bike.
He stopped her, Reign just scoffed silently. Kurenai looked back before popping the others on the chest to stop.
“I just was going to suggest hiring people.”
“Masaki, I have no money to pay anyone. With all the heat from Kuryu lately, I doubt I’m going to have prospective employees lining up at the door.”
“Hmm can't have Reignkaida worrying about that can we?” Kenshin looked over at Saikon motioning towards Reign. “Kure in retrospect you’re a manager, so you might could help manage the animals too.”
“That's honestly not a bad idea guys. Managing animals though?” Kouga crossed his arms.
“You know what I mean,” Kenshin growled a little being corrected.
“I don't want to work with her guys,” Saikon sounded put off from the whole conversation.
“You owe The Belladonna’s Sai,” Kenshin spoke up. “It’s either here or with the obnoxious ones; your choice.”
He growled under his breath, “The obnoxious ones sound like a better deal.”
Kenshin rolled his eyes from the disdain Saikon had with Reign. “Whatever, you know Reign would have your back if you needed it. The least you could do is return the favor.”
Kenshin climbed on his bike awaiting the cue to head back to the house. Kurenai was trying to figure out how they would come up with the payroll portion.
“Let's go somewhere. I have an idea on who could help loan the money,” Kurenai, Kouga, and Kenshin took off.
Reign looked over seeing Saikon and Hiroto standing around. Hiroto almost looked as troubled as Reign did. She slapped Masaki on the chest pointing at his brother; he was visibly uncomfortable. Masaki smiled as he hung his head. Hiroto joined up with them as Reign giggled. He looked over furrowing his eyes at her.
“Sorry, you just look like how I feel being around him.”
“He just gives me weird vibes,” Hiroto shoved his hands in his pockets.
“That's Sai for you. He's an asshole sometimes but he has heart,” she turned to Saikon as he glared at Reign.
“What do you want?”
“I’m going back home, you’re free to come with us.”
“I'll pass. I'm going to go find some food,” Saikon hopped on his bike leaving the trio in the distance.
“Do you two want to come?”
“I'm going home. Masaki, I'll catch you at the house,” Hiroto pulled down his shades leaving Masaki and Reign.
Reign looked over at Masaki, offering the same invitation.
“Don't look at me with your eyes,” his voice dropped.
Reign smiled. She walked over to her bike looking at Masaki again, seeing he was going to follow her. They went back to the house, being the only two there for the time being. She unlocked the door, holding it open for him. They both sat on the couch in complete silence. He would look over at her, seeing her in deep thought.
“I do feel I need to apologize to you. I’m usually not that forward, so I’m sorry.”
“I don’t need your apologies Reign. As much as I would’ve loved for us to do that, I wasn’t going to take advantage of the situation. I want you to want me without the alcohol.”
She looked around. She definitely wanted him; alcohol mixed in the equation or not. “I respect that.”
“I respect you,” once more, his dimple complimented his smile.
She pulled a pillow out from under her as she laid on his lap. He ran his hands through her hair, putting her to sleep.

Belladonna. That name rolled perfectly off the tongue. It was double the points that it had a hidden meaning for her club. Taking the strip, she noticed other’s had her same idea. There had been talks of a new casino, that was going to be straight awful. This was just another tactic for the richer to get richer and the poorer to get tossed out to the side.
Chapter 1:
Reign had the house smelling like coffee. She was out of work for a few days as she wanted to scope different places. The other girls were working late, Siyeon probably playing body guard for Ivy; she was so sick of being home. She stared at the key rack on the wall as she contemplated the hardest decision ever: which bike to take. It was a calm night, with the stars shining brightly, she decided on her Harley. Reign snatched the keys, gathering up her items that she could fit in her jacket and left.
Reign was a smaller woman, but what she lacked in height, she made up for in grit. Reign was decorated in tattoos, and had her hair colored in a purple ombre. She had the privilege of owning and running her own business, so she had the ability to not conform to normal workplace practices.
The lights to the club illuminated the street. She parked a little ways ahead, keeping her motorcycle hidden. It was one of her prized possessions, she’d hate to destroy someone for looking at it wrong. Dragon scales decorated the entire body, with their symbol resting beautifully on the tank. It was truly a sight to behold. She walked into the club as she noticed everyone dancing. Reign ordered a drink at the bar as she started scanning the room, her attention focused on the group of men donning all white upstairs, looking down at the patrons.
Over the loud music, nothing could be heard. It was amazing she suddenly focused on a girl getting heckled by drunk guys. The last thing she needed was to get involved, but there was something about a damsel in distress that upset her. It had more to deal with men seeing women as inferior. That never set well with her or her friends. In fact, that was a reason they did what they did.
She politely walked over to the girl as she tried pulling her away, only to be met with resistance from the guys.
“Why don't you mind your business? If you're feeling jealous, we'll come for you next,” the guy put his hand on hers.
“You need to have respect when you’re talking to a lady. I bet your mom’s real proud of the man you turned out to be.”
Reign pried his hand off turning his wrist up causing him an immense amount of pain. When she dropped his hand, his friends tried to attack her. She grabbed a passing waitress’s tray as she broke it over his head. They were writhing in pain as Reign grabbed the girl, heading straight for the door. All she heard was yelling as the guy with the cane, upstairs, was pointing at her.
They ran out the door heading to her bike; which now had bike partners parked next to her. She grunted as there was no time to say anything for them being too close to it. One instantly was caught by her eyes, and vice versa.
“Wait you can't leave me!” the lady started yelling at Reign.
“I'm not, but if you don't stop flapping your jaws, we’re going to be in a whole ass situation.”
Just as the girl climbed on her bike, the dudes she assaulted in the club and the ones that watched caught up to her. She whispered “fuck" as she turned grabbing the helmet.
“How dare you put hands on me bitch! Do you know who I am?”
“If I were you, I wouldn’t ever cross your lips to call me that ever again. I don't care who you are,” she turned still holding the helmet.
The others just watched. Surely this lady wasn’t going to take on three guys at once. When they all charged her, her grip on the helmet tightened as she swung connecting it to the face of the one she already attacked. She was impeccable about dodging their attacks; it was mesmerizing to everyone. When Reign dodged one, another came at her with a knife. He did get a deep slash in, but due to her adrenaline, she hardly felt it.
When they tried to go after the girl she helped, she knocked their feet out from under them. Suddenly, the longer haired biker got in on the action as he just wanted to fight. They were both fighting off the punks before they scurried off.
“Thanks,” Reign put the helmet on her passenger as he just stared at her. “Can I help you?”
“That’s all I get for kicking their ass for you?” He was truly offended she didn't say anything more.
“Masaki, not every woman is going to throw themselves at you,” his friend spoke up.
“Excuse me? You hopped in at the ass end of the fight. Fend off about ten more attacking me and then maybe you can buy me a drink. I have to get her home safely,” she climbed on her bike about to start it up as she was interrupted once more.
The white outfitted guys walked over to her with a strut so huge she just raised her eyebrows.
“Miss, are you both okay? Women aren’t ever allowed to get hurt in my club.”
She looked back at the girl wondering if she was dreaming this interaction.
“Thank you Rocky, but we’re fine. She saved me,” the lady leaned into Reign.
Finally Reign started her bike as the engine purred at her. She kicked the stand back in as she crawled it to the street, just to take off. She followed the instructions on how to get the girl home, as she pulled up to her drive-way.
“Thank you, I don't have money to pay you. My name is Emiko by the way.”
“Not needed. I'm Reign, have a good night,” Reign made sure she got inside before she took off.
Reign got back to her house since it was early morning hours, just to realize they had nothing for gashes or stab wounds.
Hey sis, so some shit went down and I’m currently gashed. I’m gonna go to the store and gather up first aid things.
Kurenai: Holy shit are you okay?
Yeah, just stings a little. Bastard ruined my favorite outfit.
Kurenai: You know I’m gonna need deets when I get off right?
I'll be ready to tell. See you in a bit.
Reign hopped on her motorcycle again as she took off. She noticed a motorcycle that she felt she had seen before. Many people had motorcycles so she blew it off. When she parked, she decided the best thing to do was zip up her jacket to not alarm anyone. She grabbed gauze, antiseptic spray, tape, a suture kit, and a needle. She walked past a huge bottle of whisky as she picked that up too.
“What do you plan to do with all of that?” a familiar voice broke her concentration.
“I’m going to go play doctor.”
“Do you even know how?”
“Nope I decided I needed to pick up a new skill so why not start somewhere,” she saw chocolate as she grabbed it walking to the register.
Masaki looked down as she was bleeding, “Would you like help.”
“I got Jack here, he's gonna help all my ailments,” she smiled holding the bottle. When it lightly brushed up to her stomach, she winced a little.
Reign paid the cashier as she headed out the door, Masaki on her heels. “If you can direct me, I can try to help.”
“Listen, I am sure you’re a great guy. But I don’t know you, and I’d trust myself with a Vet before a stranger.”
“From where he stabbed you or whatever, it looks like it will be hard to do it on your own. Quit being stubborn woman.”
Reign looked directly down as he had a point, but she could use a mirror to help.
“I swear on everything, if I guide you and you leave me with messed up sutures, I will literally hunt you down and stab you where you stand,” she stood by her bike holding her items.
“Let me help. Your place or mine?”
“My roommates will be tired when they get home. The last thing they need is some weird stranger in their house while they’re winding down. Let’s go to your place, but this isn’t an invitation for you to try and be fresh,” placing the items in the saddlebags, she straddled her bike.
Masaki just smiled at her as she was giving him the indication of being a Man-eater. He lead her to his apartment, as he grabbed her items. Reign slowly climbed off the bike as she started getting dizzy. He helped her upstairs as his brother was just sitting in his chair.
“Do I need to leave?”
“No, I’m just going to help sew her up. She's hurting bad,” Masaki grabbed towels and blankets laying them out for her.
“Oh no, miss are you sure about this?” the brother was concerned for her health.
Reign sat down gently as she took off her jacket, revealing her dress she had underneath. She had definitely bled through it, as it shimmered in the light.
“I don’t mean to sound like I’m getting fresh or anything, but you need to have different clothes on to make this easier,” he left the room momentarily as he brought her a pair of his sweats and shirt.
Reign walked to the bathroom that the brother showed and changed into his clothes. He smelled really good as she pulled the shirt up to her nose. Time was ticking for her to begin losing blood more, so she left the bathroom. She sat down as she started pulling the items out of the bag, and kit. Reign threaded the needle for Masaki with ease, he was beginning to wonder if she already knew how to do it. She had everything ready for him to begin. Reign went into a whole explanation of how to do it, as she grabbed the whisky. With ease she opened the bottle taking a swig, pouring a little over her wound.
“Remember what I said, if you don’t want to see me again.”
Masaki just smiled. Reign pulled up the shirt higher just under her bra line. This obviously wasn't the first time she had been in a knife fight. He noticed she had scars everywhere. He took a deep breath as he started placing the stitches. She gripped his arm, squeezing it when it started stinging; she let go not realizing what she did at first. When she removed her hand, he placed it back on meeting her eyes.
It hurt like hell to feel them while being conscious, but she focused on something to get her mind off the increasing pain. When Masaki pulled the thread one last time, he was confused on what to do with the remaining strand.
“May I?” she grabbed the needle as she twisted the thread tying it into a knot to have him cut.
“So you are a doctor?” he sat back in the chair as he put her stuff up.
“No, I’m not.” She got up grabbing the dress to put it back on, just to be stopped by Masaki.
“I won’t mind if you borrow my clothes. You can find me and bring them back.”
She looked at him, before looking at his brother. Reign nodded as she put her boots back on. “Thanks.”
“Do you really think you should be driving?”
“I’ll be fine father. I’ve driven in worse conditions. Oh and thank you for patching me up. You listened quite well. It shouldn’t scar too bad.”
He smiled at her revealing his dimple that complimented his face. Reign had an influx of messages, letting her knew her roommates were missing her presence.
“At least let me drive you home.”
“I’m not leaving my bike, so that's out of the question.”
“You don't have to leave it, I'll catch a cab or walk home. It's better than you getting hurt or passing out while driving. No one will mess with your bike here. I'll have Hiroto watch it.”
“I’m not going to put that on him,” Reign grabbed her keys as she hobbled outside.
Masaki snatched her keys from her hand as he tossed them to Hiroto to watch over. “We can have someone come collect your bike later. You’re riding with me.”
“Why are you so damn persistent? I want my keys,” she held out her hand towards Hiroto.
“I don't agree with him half the time either, but he has a point. Let him take you home, we’ll pull your bike in so it’s safe.”
She glanced over feeling like her battle was lost, but she agreed to leave her bike. Masaki put her things on the bike as he climbed on smiling at Reign. Throwing one leg over the side, she sat behind him as she clutched her items tightly in her arms. He took off, with her feeling weird being on his bike. He followed her directions home, as Siyeon was already waiting on her.
“What the hell happened Reign?”
“She was injured in a fight,” Masaki helped her off the bike. “You know where to find me when you need to return the clothes and get your bike.”
“And you are?” Siyeon helped Reign stand.
“I’m Masaki, I helped sew her up.”
“He helped sew you up? But don’t you do that for a living?”
Reign stepped on Siyeon’s toes to shut her up instantly. She didn’t want him to know any more about her than he had to. They headed towards the door as Reign stopped, turning to him.
“Thank you Masaki.”
“No problem,” he climbed on his bike as he took off.
Kurenai pulled up as he left. She looked confused until she remembered their earlier conversation.
“He’s really handsome Rei, did you get to try him out? Seeing as you’re wearing what I suspect to be his clothes?”
“No Siyeon, nothing happened. He's not that charming.”
“Bullshit, he screams your type. Anyways, let’s get you inside. Ah Kure want to get the door?”
They helped their friend enter the house as she grunted. Reign just laid down on the couch as she noticed Ivy sleeping on the other end.
“She’s so exhausted. Why hasn’t she gotten a day off?”
“Her workers are all pricks, all because she’s dating me. Guess I have bigger balls than they do, and sense it. Are we really going to gloss over the fact that you got stabbed tonight?”
“Yeah you were supposed to give me details,” Kurenai got her a drink as she waited for Reign to explain.
“A girl named Emiko was being harassed at a club. When I jumped in to help her, I got attacked. They followed us out, which ensued an even bigger fight, leading me to get stabbed. Masaki and his brother Hiroto helped me. Masaki saw me getting medical supplies, right after I texted you, and offered to help sew me up.”
“Reign, you need to pay him back.”
“You are a perv Siyeon,” she threw a pillow at her friend as she groaned in pain.
“Tell me I’m wrong though. Besides, what his brother look like?”
“Like a normal guy Si. Black hair, and average height. Masaki is taller, and has a dimple. His eyes are a lighter brown too.”
“See, you told us more about Masaki than Hiroto, so he did catch your eye.”
“I’m going to bed since I’m being persecuted,” Reign stood up and hit Siyeon with the pillow one last time leaving her friends to laugh.
“How are we going to get Rei's bike back? Want to ride bitch?” Siyeon grabbed her jacket and keys shooting Kurenai a grin.
Kurenai grinned as she stood up, “We need to get the address from Reign. And I’ll be the one to go ask. I’m pretty sure if you tell her she needs to pay him back again you’ll die.”
“Just saying what we’re all thinking, but I’ll be downstairs.”
Kurenai knocked on Reign's door as she opened it to her reading. “Rei, where’s the location of your bike? We’re going to go get it.”
Reign reached in her pocket pulling her glasses down. Finding the address Masaki placed inside, she handed it to Kurenai. “Thanks Kure, I appreciate it.”
Kurenai met Siyeon down at the bikes. They both climbed on as Kurenai placed the address in her GPS. They arrived as they tried to see if it was out. A guy approached them as they turned.
“We’re here for the bike.”
“You don’t look like Reign, so I can’t give it to you. My apologies ladies.”
“This guy,” Siyeon bit her piercing as she was getting annoyed. “We were sent by her.”
“How do I know this?” he wasn’t budging a bit.
“Look at my bike, then look at hers. You'll notice a definite similarity,” Siyeon pointed to their crest.
“Anyone could put that on their bike. She entrusted it with us, so we’re keeping it here until she returns.”
“Fuck it.”
Kurenai thought this guy was stubborn, but appreciated that he kept her bike safe. She called Reign’s phone as she finally answered. Kurenai explained everything as she handed the phone to the keeper; him walking away momentarily. Masaki wanted to see what the hold up was on his brother's return, as he noticed Siyeon.
“What are you doing here?”
“This guy won't give us Reign’s bike back.”
Masaki grinned, once Hiroto made a promise he kept it. Hiroto joined back up as he handed Kurenai the phone and keys.
“Thanks for keeping it safe though.”
“This is Hiroto, my younger brother. Oh, how's Reign?”
“She hurts but she's fine. If you want you can pop by and check on her sometime. If she's not at home, she's at work.”
“Oh? What does she do?” he inquired about the woman that took his attention.
“She’s a veterinarian, why do you think I made my comment earlier.”
Masaki looked over at Hiroto as he smiled dropping his head. “Well we won’t keep you, drive home safe.” The two brothers waved them off as they left.
Siyeon and Kurenai arrived home as they put both bikes up in the garage. The house was quiet as both ladies were asleep. Siyeon covered Ivy up as she sat next to her. They were brought together, by Reign and Kurenai, a few years earlier.
Kurenai dispersed to her room as Hiroto stayed on her mind. The fact that he took the task seriously was amazing to her. They knew nothing about Masaki or Hiroto yet, but she could easily say she liked him already. This would have to be something that she checked into, since her curiosity was piqued.
Reign woke up as she started to hurt. The medicine she took hours before was beginning to wear off. Siyeon noticed her up as she rubbed her eyes.
“What’s wrong Rei?”
“I need medicine, but don’t get up on my accord. I’ll be fine.”
“You know I’m still going to look after you right?”
Reign swallowed pills as she shook her head. “Thanks for getting my bike back home.”
“Of course, we know how much that means to you. If only you could connect to a human like that, you’d have it made.”
Reign made a face at Siyeon. She wasn’t wrong though. Reign never opened herself to another individual; like that. Sure she had her friends and bird, but she could never find someone she connected with.
“I connect to a lot of people.”
“Sure Rei. That’s why you shoved me off on Ivy. Which I’m thankful for. Her high-maintenance ass is all I’ve ever dreamed about.”
“We were fire and ice Siyeon. Not a good combination.”
“I know, at least Kurenai noticed Ivy was a better fit. If by chance Masaki shows up in your life again,” she was interrupted by Reign.
“I’m not jumping his bones Si.”
“Deny it all you want. He's a fit for you.”
She laughed at the persistence of Siyeon. “I’m going to go back to bed.”
Reign climbed back into bed as she thought about what Siyeon said. She never really had a connection with anyone other than her friends, bird, and bikes. In her mind though, how was she supposed to connect to anyone when she wouldn’t be able to be completely truthful. What they did on the side, was not for everyone to know or understand for that matter. It was not a first date topic, and she was stressed about even bringing someone into her lifestyle. Either way, this would be a topic on her mind for another day.
When Reign woke up again, she noticed Ivy cooking breakfast. She sat down at the table as Ivy served her a cup of coffee.
“Good morning, how are you feeling? Sisi told me everything.”
“Eh, I’m alright. Are the others still sleeping?”
“Si is at work; Kurenai is in the living room. Your clinic called; they need you to stop by today. Some people stopped by that has them worried about something.”
Reign took a sip of her coffee as she pondered who could’ve paid a visit to them. She finished her plate as she got ready to go. She went to her clinic as she noticed guys in suits taking up her waiting room, and her workers on the edge. When she approached the receptionist, she noticed a bruise forming on her face, and the appearance that she had been crying. Reign turned around to the group of guys, as they looked up from the magazines they were reading. She went to the back, signaling her workers to come.
“What happened?”
“They want to talk to you.”
Reign grabbed her coat as she walked back out into the waiting room, “Can I help you gentleman?”
“We’re waiting for the gentleman that owns this place, RJ,” the man handed a business card with his name and company on it.
Her vet clinic was right in the middle of where they wanted to start building the casino. The only way they’d get this building was over her dead body. It was a great location that they needed in order to progress the plans.
She smirked, “You’re looking at him. What can I do for you, Nikaido is it?”
“You’re RJ?” He looked confused.
“RJ is a nickname. The name is Reign, now again, what can I do for you?”
“My company wants to talk about buying this dump out from under you,” he seemed insulted he was having to have this conversation with a woman.
“Not interested but thank you. You can all see yourselves out now, this meeting is over. I like my dump as you call it,” she ushered towards the door. “And don’t lay another finger on any of my employees, or I will break them.”
She could tell they weren’t going to go easily with hearing her answer. Reign let her workers leave as she felt things were going to get heated in a second. They all briskly left as it drew onlookers outside the window.
“This isn’t an offer,” he obnoxiously adjusted his tie.
“And there aren’t any negotiations available, so no.”
“C’mon, we would pay you handsomely. I might even take you out for dinner, and give you everything you could ever desire.” He approached her.
She held out a clipboard stopping him in his tracks, scoffing at his words. This fool was arrogant, and dense. “No, but thanks. I hope you gentlemen have a good day.”
The rest of the gentlemen in the room got up out of their chairs. This was beginning to feel like Deja-vu. When they completely stood, they started walking around her clinic pushing things over. They were beginning to make a mess, when suddenly Masaki and Hiroto showed up.
“The Amamiya brothers, what a surprise. It’s best though if you don’t stick your nose in this business,” Nikaido focused on the two men. Just the way he spoke to them, compared to Reign, was a given that he was chauvinistic.
“You okay Reign?” Masaki stood directly in front of her as he blocked Nikaido from her sight.
“I’m fine, but these guys won’t be.”
He smirked at her spunkiness. When Nikaido nodded, the goons started to attack the three. They all exchanged punches as Reign started using the clipboard as her weapon. The brothers took over most of the fighting, which she was okay with since she was still healing. She was happy she got some hits in. More guys shuffled into her clinic as they seemed like they were outnumbered. Looking over, she observed Masaki and Hiroto giving menacing smiles. Just like that, they were able to fend off everyone that entered. Nikaido was unsure how the tides turned or where the Amamiya brothers showed up from. All he knew was that his boss was going to be very unhappy about the entire situation.
The suited guys left as Reign grabbed a broom and pale to start cleaning up. Masaki and Hiroto helped clean as best they could.
“Thank you both. I can take it from here.”
“We’re already here, so we're just going to help. Can I buy you that drink now?” Masaki grinned.
Reign stopped momentarily as she smiled. He used her words against her. She looked over at him as his smile towards her was genuine. It took her a moment, but Siyeon’s words swam around like a tidal wave in her head. In a sense, she was right.
“Fine, but just one. I guess you deserve that much.”
Masaki tapped Hiroto on the chest as he smiled. They continued on helping her get her clinic back in order as she gave her workers the permission to take off the remainder of the day. She didn’t want those goons to come back, and them to be vulnerable. As she looked over she noticed the card as she clutched the broom tighter in her hand. She was going do some investigating of her own.
Reign grabbed her things as Kurenai and Kaiya rushed into the clinic. Reign looked confused to see her there.
“Kure? What's going on?”
“We chased off some sketchy looking men scoping the back. Is everything okay?”
“Some dude and his guys tried to intimidate me for the clinic. He was highly insulting to my feminine intelligence. Anyways, I’m okay thanks to Masaki and Hiroto.”
Reign felt it wasn't the last time she was going to see their faces. Next time, they'd probably bring more guys; stronger at that. She placed the business card in her bag as she was fuming. Kaiya sauntered over to the brothers as she circled them. They stood still, as they didn't want Kaiya to get defensive. She was a larger dog, beautiful, but her size gave the indication she could be scary.
Kaiya looked back at Reign when she sniffed Masaki. She nudged his hand to pet her as he just laughed.
“At least I'm popular with one pretty lady,” he grinned at Reign causing her to look away.
When Kaiya got to Hiroto, she jumped on him. When she got his attention, she licked his face. This was odd since Kaiya wasn't really a people person. She was highly selective on who she liked. Reign noticed her watch as she and Kurenai needed to lock up the clinic.
“Kure, Sakura needs to eat. I'm gonna head home. Gentlemen, you're invited to come, the least I can do is make dinner for you both,” Reign sat on her bike awaiting their answer.
The brothers looked over at each other, right before climbing on their bikes. The four headed home as she was in the lead. Siyeon and Ivy were still gone, and if Reign had any luck, it’d stay that way. She didn't need Siyeon telling her she needed to jump Masaki anymore than she already did. When the door opened, Masaki and Hiroto held the door for Reign and Kurenai.
Reigns rose breasted cockatoo strutted towards them, showing her wings. She picked her up as she smiled, Sakura's eyes closing halfway. Masaki was amazed as he never saw a bird so pretty.
“Who's this fella?” he lightly stroked Sakura.
“This is Sakura. I raised her from a hatchling. She's really sweet,” Reign’s eyes sparkled talking about her.
Sakura nipped at Masaki’s hand as she started climbing on his arm. When she got up to his shoulders, she flapped her wings and started dancing causing Masaki to freeze. Her crest was completely raised as she bounced.
“What, uh what is she doing.”
“She’s adorning you right now. Her whole behavior is showing she is fond of you. Congratulations, my bird doesn't want to peck your eyes out,” Reign smiled as she went to the kitchen pulling out pans and groceries to make them food.
Kure got Hiroto a drink as they sat down at the kitchen bar.
“This is a nice house, very calming. How long have you two been friends?” Hiroto glanced around the room noticing the way everything was in immaculate condition.
“For a while. We have two more roommates, Siyeon and Ivy, who have been around for a while too. They work with me.”
“That’s cool, I did notice your bikes all have the same symbol, what is it?”
“It’s Belladonna, that's our crew name.”
Belladonna; that swam in his head. Beautiful but deadly. This intrigued him more now that she said that. They had secrets it seemed, and he was curious to learn more. Once he and Masaki were alone, this would be a topic of discussion.
Masaki noticed Reign glided across the kitchen in her own zone. He placed Sakura on her post as he was mesmerized by her.
“Wow, she can fight and is domesticated,” he muttered under his breath.
Reign’s hair started falling from her ponytail as he rushed to put it back up for her since both hands were occupied. He thought she’d look phenomenal with a higher ponytail, so he started running his hands through her hair. She lightly gasped forgetting her task; putting her into a slight trance. His grip tightened as he wrapped the tie around her hair. He smiled hearing her gasp, as he placed both hands on her shoulders.
“Oh shit, did you finally do it Reign?” Siyeon’s voice broke Reign’s concentration as her and Ivy placed their bags on the table.
“Looks like she might have, or they’re going to at least,” Ivy giggled as she took a sip of her drink.
“Did she do what?” Hiroto peeked around Kurenai wondering what they meant.
“I can’t be the only one seeing their intense chemistry. Why else would he have gone out of his way to run to her aid more than once?”
Siyeon sat down as Reign glared at her. She continued making dinner trying not to let Siyeon’s words get to her.
“Si, cut it out. Reign is touchy,” Ivy giggled.
Hiroto and Masaki sensed the tension as they tried to deflect her words. Masaki joined her as she looked up at him giving him a half smile.
“Listen, I don't want anything from you other than your time. This is more than enough,” he gazed at her adorningly.
Finally, Reign’s hard work paid off as she placed the food on the table. The aroma filled the house as everyone started getting hungrier. Hiroto helped serve drinks as they all dug in. They found meaningless topics to discuss and debate, all while enjoying themselves. It definitely was a first, for the brothers, that they had someone cook for them personally.
“What do you think of the food boys?”
“It’s delicious, thank you Reign,” Masaki was having a hard time pulling away from his fork.
Reign downed her drink more as she left the table. It was time for her medicine and she was feeling it. She wasn't too talkative, seeming as she had something else on her mind. She just couldn't get Nikaido off of it.
“You’re welcome guys. I'm glad you enjoyed it.”
After dinner, they helped her clean up the kitchen. Masaki shoved her out of the way as he started washing the dishes for her. He started to eventually wear on her.
“So, the elephant is in the room. Do you just not like people?”
“Oh I like people just fine, just not everyday. I’d rather deal with animals. They’re loyal, it’s hard to find loyalty anymore.”
“I take it there’s no boyfriend.”
She got quiet as she focused on the plate she was drying, “There hasn’t been a while now.”
He nodded his head, but he instantly caught on she had secrets too. He looked over at Hiro as he was having a luckier time connecting with Kurenai. He felt if he was smart enough, he wouldn't chase after her; but his heart was telling him to continue on. The day that she would fall for him, would bring a storm like no other that he wanted to weather. He wanted to see this through.
After they finished the dishes, Hiro motioned for them to leave as it was getting late.
“Thank you ladies for feeding us, but we ought to be leaving. You all have a good night and we’ll see you around.” Hiro bowed at Kurenai.
Masaki looked over at Reign as he smiled. She nodded her head at him as he left.
Reign walked on to the balcony as she watched them get onto their bikes to head out. Masaki paused a brief moment before taking off; as if he had something else on his mind that he didn’t get to say.
“Are you going to let him walk out of your life too?”
“Can it Si, I have no room to involve someone into the business we do.”
“He looks far from innocent and naïve, so what’s the holdup?” Si offered her a drink as a peace offering.
“You wouldn't understand, so drop it,” she turned away from Siyeon walking back into the house.
Just as always, Reign pushed people away. Relationships made her uneasy, leaving her vulnerable and her emotions in someone else's control.
“One of these days you're going to wake up really lonely and regretting never letting your walls down enough for someone to get through. You deserve to be happy and find someone crazy enough to love you.”
“It doesn’t hurt having friends Reign,” even Ivy was heard trying to talk sense.
Siyeon was a bee buzzing in her ear at this point. She just wanted silence. Reign went to her room as she sat at her desk. The card from the office was staring at her, as she had an uneasiness about the situation. Reign would have to figure out what to do to prevent this group of men from destroying what she worked for.

Reign was awakened by the sound of her pots and pans being moved around. She rubbed her eyes as she made her way downstairs. As far as she thought, she was home alone. She got to the bottom of the steps as she noticed a petite figure searching her cupboards and pulling ingredients out. Kaiya sauntered in the kitchen as she backed the figure in the corner. The lady let out a scream, dropping the pans on the floor.
“Don’t you know breaking and entering does give me the right to have her attack, right?”
“Please, I meant no harm, I just wanted to make you breakfast."
“I’m not sure how or why your thought process went in the direction that this was acceptable.”
After getting a better look, she noticed the girl that she saved, Emiko. She was becoming quite troublesome for Reign.
“I just wanted to thank you for saving me,” she was trembling, terrified of Kaiya.
“Kaiya heel,” Reign walked around the bannister, entering the kitchen, “How did you learn where I lived?”
“I had help in finding you,” she picked the pans off the floor as she continued on with cooking.
Reign sat at the bar confused on who helped find her. “Who helped you?”
“I have friends.”
“Yeah well in about 10 seconds I’m going to have to call these friends and tell them to come meet you at the ER. Now who told you?”
Emiko stopped looking away from Reign’s dagger filled glares.
“A guy named Cobra, he told me he’d help find you.”
Reign sat and thought about the name, but nothing rang a bell on how she’d know anyone outside her three close friends; even her two new friends. She’d appease Emiko and let her finish her task, cause she was hungry after all, but she wanted to know why and how he found her.
“Why did you feel the need to track me down?”
“I need your help…” Emiko started fidgeting.
“I don’t know what you heard, but it’s not true and I’m not a miracle worker. I have my own shit to deal with. I don’t need to play wonder woman for anyone,” Reign glared arms crossed.
“Why are you so mean?”
“My business was practically leveled. I have no workers, no clients, and not enough patience for anything right now.”
Emiko laid a plate in front of her and poured a cup of coffee, “You seriously won’t hear me out? Just listen on why I think you can help. You took down Kuryu members without an ounce of fear in your eyes. Nobody, women for that matter, have the balls to do that without being powerful in their own way.”
Reign picked at her food trying to tune Emiko out, but it was all in vain. It bothered her more that she was successful of living in privacy for so long and now that was in shambles. Emiko cleaned the dishes as Reign decided to find Cobra.
“You’re going to show me where I can find this Cobra character,” Reign went upstairs to get dressed.
When she came back down, Emiko looked confused but nodded.
“Only if you decide to help me. I won’t rat him out unless you make a promise you’ll help me.”
“I’ll hear you out but I’m not making any promises. Especially if my life is in danger, more so than it was before.”
Emiko nodded in agreement, this was the best she felt she was going to get. Reign handed her helmet to Emiko as she took off in the direction that was given.
“I understand and would love to help but the decision is not mine alone,” Kurenai was pacing with the two groups in front of her.
Her arm was throbbing from the pain as she looked down noticing the bandage getting wet. Suddenly it started to drip, but as soon as someone tried to help, she would shoot them glares having them back off.
“We have a mutual enemy, and it would benefit all of us to work together,” the ones in the jacket reasoned.
“Even if we have mutual enemies as you say, they will pick off anyone associated with Sword. Again, even if I’m the eldest, it’s not my call as I do not lead our team.”
Reign hung back before she made her presence aware. It was odd to her that they were there. She had heard of the S.W.O.R.D. divisions, but she was having a hard time understanding why they wanted to bring the Belladonna’s in this fight.
“How did you know where I lived?” Reign broke Cobra’s concentration as his crew shared glances.
Kurenai’s demeanor softened seeing her best friend.
“Here’s your chance, Cobra,” Kurenai smirked.
Reign took place next to Kurenai noticing her arm. “Are you okay Kure? I have my instruments outside, I'll stitch your arm.” She turned to Emiko, “Please go get my supplies from the saddle bag.”
A few moments later Emiko returned as Kurenai sat down. Reign placed the items on the table after disinfecting her work space.
“You have the amount of time it takes for me to stitch her up, to explain why you ever so kindly disclosed my location,” she threaded the needle meeting his glance.
“Before you begin, they did help me on a fight earlier that day, when your business got hit, especially Smoky's crew. So try to remain as calm as you possibly can.”
“I’m calm, at least for now. I’m just having a hard time grasping why my new friend Emiko knew where we lived. Big stick Kurenai,” she pulled the needle through Kurenai’s arm looking at the two guys.
Kurenai shot Cobra a glare of discontent learning of the new information.
“Kuryu is trying to take us out.”
“And what does this have to do with us exactly?” Reign met his glance.
“Your business was hit was it not? Kirinji and Nikaido have you in their radar, meaning they won’t stop until they take you out as well.”
Reign looked up as he met her glance, “What is it you’re wanting from us?”
“We'd like to offer help for your group if you help us,” Smoky stole her attention.
She scoffed. They were still dancing around the real reason they wanted the Belladonna’s in their corner.
“So you want us to join this fight against the most powerful syndicate in the world? For what exactly,” she was almost done stitching as their time was running out.
“Why are you being so crass? You need our help just as much as we need you!”
“I’m sorry and you are?” Reign paused annoyed this one raised his voice at her. She didn't like to be yelled at.
“I’m Chiharu, I know firsthand how dangerous they are. This isn’t just some game.”
“Chiharu is it, all you guys are doing are flapping your jaws. I am almost done stitching her arm. Once I tie and cut, I’m leaving. So get to the point or leave us be,” she growled focusing on Kurenai’s arm.
“We know you four are powerful in your own right. That these day jobs are just a cover up for how dangerous you truly are, but you only go after the worst people in the world,” Cobra finally got to the point. “Your crew name reflects who you are. We need help to take them down.”
Reign looked over as everyone was staring her down, awaiting her reaction. “Good job on learning about us, but I'm hoping we're not going to be just some pawns in this messed up chess game. The fact that us four will be in the most danger we’ve ever been in is what pisses me off,” she cut the thread and tied it. “There better be a solid plan if I'm going to send my girls to do your bidding.”
Reign stood up gathering her items pushing past the two groups. She avoided the looks from around the room.
“Reign, we aren’t sending you alone, you’ll have all of us to utilize. Every single SWORD member.” Cobra grabbed her arm stopping her in her tracks.
“We'll see, just don’t get us killed,” she continued walking out the door as she let out a sigh of exasperation.
It confused everyone to see her on the bike. Emiko ran behind climbing on. Reign looked at Kure for guidance since she was annoyed. Kure chuckled as she walked back inside.
“You heard her. We’ll see how much it’s worth fighting for,” Kure passed a note to Cobra and Smoky with directions on it.
“You can't be serious, what are you doing?” Reign was annoyed at this point.
“You brought me here, what else am I supposed to do, walk?”
“From the sounds of it, this is going to be dangerous, you can't be involved,” Reign turned slightly.
“I'm not leaving your side.”
“You will leave my side. Go to your parents.”
“I can't, they're not here.”
“Your friends. Go bug them.”
“I don’t have any.”
Reign rested her head on the tank. She had one idea, which was to take her right back to where she found her originally. She rode to the club as there weren't any patrons. Reign entered as everyone was wearing white; besides her. She definitely stood out like a sore thumb. She stood in amazement as everyone just watched her.
“Do you have an appointment?” a couple of the guys circled her, wondering who she was and what she wanted.
“I don’t, but I’m bringing your girlfriend back to you.”
They all looked at her as they smiled. She still didn’t see the main one that caught her eye that night. He was the one she wanted to talk to.
“She’s not a girlfriend of anyone here, but maybe you can be.”
“The amount of white in one room, and that comment is enough to give me a migraine. Please, I just want to talk to the one in glasses.”
“What do you want with Rocky exactly?”
“Emiko will be in danger if she stays with me. He seemed really concerned about her well-being that night, I just need his help in keeping her safe.”
“Wait you’re in danger?” the one with the bandana pushed through the crowd.
“Yes, but my point is that she needs protection,” Reign looked around the room finally spotting Rocky.
She shoved through the crowd as he stood up resting on the cane he had.
“Who is after you?”
“That's no concern of yours, I can handle myself. As annoying as Emiko is being right now, I don't want her in danger.”
Rocky ushered her to sit. Her body language told him of her reluctance. One of his guys brought her a drink to ease her nerves. She thanked him.
“We will keep her safe, I promise. But you must let us protect you too,” he walked over to the couch in front of her. “Our specialty is to protect women,” he lifted her chin to look into her eyes.
“If ever I need protection, I'll seek you out,” she stood up bowing to Rocky.
Reign started out the door as Emiko stopped her. “Will you be okay?”
“Relax, I’m a Belladonna. We are poisonous to others,” Reign turned back around to Rocky, “thank you.”
She left wanting to salvage what she could out of the clinic. The sooner she took care of important documents, the better. The clinic was empty and depressing as she stood, leaning on the doorframe, throwing the keys on the counter as she shut the door behind her. Sakura was on her post as she chirped happily, bobbing. She was the only positive thing in the clinic now. She placed her coat on as she playfully checked Sakura over hyping her up.
The boys that fought alongside her, strolled back in looking around, noticing her talking to the bird.
“I’m sorry kids, I'm closed indefinitely,” Sakura climbed on her shoulder.
“Why?”
She looked at Murayama quizzically, wondering if he caught amnesia from the fight. “Uhm, since my furniture and stuff became firewood.”
“That's a shame,” he plopped down on the ground in front of her.
“Kiddo, is there a direct reason you’re here, or are you just that bored?”
“The latter. Also it's really demeaning to call me Kiddo. I'm twenty you know.” Murayama frowned.
“Ey! That is Murayama! The leader, you will have respect!”
Reign’s eye twitched as she grabbed Seki's ear leading him to the middle of the floor causing puzzlement amongst the others.
“You will not yell at me,” she released his ear, “now how do you speak properly to a lady? Especially one that's older.”
Murayama and Furuya just smiled at her actions. She wasn’t just some lady. She had grit which they respected and liked. Maybe a little too much.
“I'm sorry Oneesan,” he looked down as Furuya smacked the back of his head.
“That’s better,” she focused on Murayama, “I won't call you Kiddo any more. Thank you for assisting me that day, I appreciate it.”
“This is what we do. We're the best at fighting since a lot of us aren't academically inclined.”
“What school do you all attend?”
“Oya. So, Oneesan, how long do you plan to be closed?”
“I'm not sure. My employees all quit, and my clients are terrified to come back. I don't blame them since this happened twice.”
“You can't quit, you've been here forever Oneesan,” Furuya looked down as he placed his hands in his pockets.
“Well unless I get employees and my business fixed, I have no other choice.”
Murayama’s phone went off as he smiled. He looked up at her as he jolted up, grabbing her hand leading her to the door.
“Where are you taking me?” Reign didn't notice she still had Sakura attached to her.
“Just come on. Be adventurous for once, like us,” the building next door was dark. When he led her inside, the lights came on causing her eyes to have a hard time adjusting. She rubbed them noticing Kurenai, Ivy, and Siyeon just smiling.
“What is this?”
“Your new workplace. Do you like it?”
Reign looked around confused at what she was seeing exactly. It was definitely bigger and more inviting than next door.
“I…I love it,” she was excited to see a furnished place, but fearful that it wasn’t going to last by Kuryu's hands for long.
Masaki broke her concentration as Sakura climbed on his shoulder warranting his dimple to show.
“Your eyes show fear, but you have us now so don't be scared,” he grabbed her hand.
“I’m not scared, I’m just exhausted. Fighting assholes an x amount of days in a row, eventually wears on someone.”
Kurenai placed her hands around Reign’s eyes turning her around. When she lowered her hands, there was a cake in front of her. Reign wasn’t so sure she wanted to celebrate her birthday but it was turning out to be a good one.
“We love you Reign, happy birthday,” she hugged Reign from behind as she smiled.
Reign got closer as she blew out the candles. Ivy cut the cake as she started handing slices out. Siyeon brought Reign a slice and punch noticing her smile.
“You are finally letting your walls down.”
“What?”
“Masaki Amamiya is crazy about you he can barely handle it. Plus the little psycho is too, it’s adorable you’re his crush.”
“Please don’t let the next words that flow out your mouth be, ‘you need to jump his bones',” unbeknownst that Masaki was right behind her.
“Can I have a slice?” he was grinning from hearing their conversation.
Reign spit her drink out as she started coughing. She glared at Siyeon for the set up. Siyeon handed him a slice as she noticed Reign’s cheeks developed a rose color. Reign tried her best at avoiding his gaze, but she finally looked up at him.
“Reign, your blush compliments your face,” Masaki took a bite of cake as he chuckled walking back to his brother.
“Why can’t I have normal friends?”
“Who wants to be normal? That sounds boring,” Murayama sat in the chair besides her. “So you just need clients and employees now right?”
“It’s not going to be that easy Murayama. Word of mouth is powerful, I can be destroyed by it. Nevertheless, you shouldn’t bother yourself with my problems, it’ll stress you out for no reason.”
“Hey Oneesan!” Him yelling at Reign when she walked off confused her and made her turn abruptly, “I’m making it my problem.”
“She doesn’t like to be yelled at. Chiharu almost lost his life,” Cobra chuckled as his crew shuffled in alongside Smoky and Rocky.
Her new building was filled with almost all of the sword alliance, and Emiko. She stood there puzzled why she was being punished for something she was unaware of. They almost seemed pleasant though. The door opened to a group of guys she hadn't seen before.
“About damn time guys,” Kurenai laughed seeing Hyuga finally grace them with his presence.
“Feeble parties don’t usually interest us,” Hyuga grabbed snacks off the table, before finding a corner to lay down; away from the other factions.
“Who's this exactly?” Reign was curious.
“That's Hyuga, Oneesan. He doesn't bother himself with anything,” Furuya shoved cake in his mouth actually stunned he showed up.
“How’s the protection going? You need us yet?” Lassie and Heidi joined her side.
“Nope, I’m still just fine.”
“Oneesan doesn’t like to be bothered with knight in shining armor types. Besides, with Oya, she’ll never have to worry about anything, so scurry along to women that needs saving,” Murayama placed his arm around her shoulder smiling at The White Rascals.
“Don’t be a pest Murayama,” Rocky stepped forward, “we saw her fight and aren’t implying she needs a knight in shining armor. That wouldn’t be you anyways.”
Reign laughed at the fact that she had a crazy guard dog ready to pounce for her.
“Chill boys, no need for the hostility. We're here for a celebration. Not a dick measuring contest,” Kurenai chuckled pulling Reign away.
“Are you really okay Reign?”
“I will be. This was cool of you all to do, so thank you. Hiroto has been eyeing you,” she nudged Kurenai playfully.
“He is really charming.”
“Yeah that chain sickle move he did, was right up your alley,” she subtly glanced over at Masaki as he was in conversation with Hiroto and another.
“You know, it doesn't hurt to have friends, like Ivy and Sisi stated. You do deserve to find happiness outside of us Rei.”
“I'm worried that my heart will lead me in the wrong direction,” she looked down.
“You'll never know unless you make that leap. They know what we’re about and he obviously isn’t put off.”
“What did you mean by he knows what we’re about?” Reign was curious as to what Kurenai meant.
“Rei, it’s not a secret anymore, he knows we're the Belladonna’s. They put two and two together; they all did.”
“Why hasn't he said anything?” Reign looked over at Masaki.
“He wants you to be the one to tell him. I know you can't see it, but he's the definition of your ride or die. He’s not a knight in shining armor, but he’s your outlaw on a steel horse.”
Reign just looked at Masaki as she was thinking a lot about what Kurenai pointed out. When he met her glance, he nodded at her, causing her to smile.
“I do find him irresistible. The way he looks at me. I’m worried he’s a playboy,” she scanned the room.
“Go get your man, before someone else does then,” Kurenai shoved her forward.
Reign stood next to Masaki as he was in conversation with his brother, Kohaku, and Tsukumo. She looked back at Kurenai as she mouthed to talk to him.
“Happy Birthday Reign,” Hiroto smiled.
“Thank you, Hiroto. Masaki, a moment?”
They excused themselves as Reign led him next door. She needed to lock up the building anyways, so she used that as a reason to get him to go with her. He opened the door for her as she gathered her thoughts.
“Reign, your party is next door. Your little lover might miss you,” he took a drink messing with her about Murayama.
“Hush he’s a kid. Masaki, when did you figure out who we were?”
“Your crest, it’s Nightshade right? Like your crew name.”
“That doesn’t bother you?”
“Do you attack innocent people?”
“Never have, never will.”
“Then no,” he inched closer to her. “When did you figure out I knew?”
“I didn’t, Kurenai told me,” she shifted with her arms crossed.
Masaki chuckled. “So does that mean you’ve taken what I said into consideration?”
“Maybe,” she pushed up her sleeves.
He lifted her suddenly placing her on the counter, “So are we?”
“Before I say yes, give me a reason-"
He kissed her to shut her up. She had been lip locked before, but his kiss was so different. It slightly frightened her, with how much emotion he had on the end of her lips.
“That works for me,” clearing her throat, her cheeks turned red.
“Just if we fight, don't poison me before we can come up with a solution.”
She giggled, “Guess you’ll have to find a quick solution then,” she leaned in for another kiss.
“Hey whoa, you can’t be a seductress this early in our relationship. I’m pure, an incorruptible soul,” he placed his hand on his chest.
Reign looked at him eyebrow raised. “Mhm. We’ll see.” She jumped off the counter patting him on the chest.
“What’s that supposed to mean Reign?”
“Nothing. I think I’m being missed by my little lover, we better get back,” she walked over to the door smirking.
Masaki smirked as he followed behind. When he got to the door, he grabbed her, turned her around briskly, placing his hand to the side of her face against the wall, “You just remember who your outlaw is.” Lifting her chin up, he kissed her.
Kurenai held her head as she took a deep breath, “I do better at fighting and working than dating…”
She was guarded as well, but a little more than Reign. Hiroto wanted to approach Kurenai as she was in her own zone. He handed Kohaku his drink as he startled Kurenai. She turned around briskly as she had her rainbow dagger to his throat. It had their crest on the handle and a wolf engraved on the blade.
Reign placed her hand over her mouth laughing, “Kurenai never liked being snuck up on.”
“You sure know how to say hello back,” Hiroto chuckled as he lowered the blade, “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
Kurenai smirked placing the dagger back in the sheath. “Sorry, I gotta keep things interesting.”
“Honestly, I wouldn’t expect less,” Hiroto laughed. “So, were you the one to finally talk Reign into giving Masaki a chance?”
“Yeah, she listens to me more than the other two. Plus, they make a cute pair.”
“I see how he acts around women, but she gets a different reaction from him. He really likes her. Hope your girl isn’t a player,” he walked over to the snack table.
“Your brother better not be either, she’ll skin him alive.”
“Honestly, that sounds like a good plan.”
They chuckled noticing the pair. Hiroto looked over at Kurenai admiring her. She was different from others. He also never had a dagger held to him by a woman.
Masaki and Hiroto stayed back to clean up. Siyeon just kept looking at them smiling.
“Hiroto, what kind of women do you like?” Siyeon inquired.
Reign knew where she was going with that, she was about to give Kurenai a hard time now.
“Well, I like strong-willed women,” He looked up.
“Nothing like a woman to hold a dagger to your throat right?”
“Something like that,” Hiroto winked at Kurenai.
Kurenai blushed as she looked away, grinning. Reign nudged Kure giggling.
“So you gonna shoot your shot or wait around like Masaki did?” Siyeon ushered towards Kurenai. “It’s painfully obvious that you like her.”
Hiroto looked over at Kurenai as he was speechless about her friend’s bluntness.
“Sorry Hiro, Sisi doesn’t know how to keep her mouth shut,” Reign tossed a towel at Siyeon. “Kurenai, we can leave so this isn’t anymore awkward for you.”
Reign and Masaki walked out the door, with Sisi and Ivy following behind. Masaki pulled Reign back as he took her to the room next door.
“Masaki, what are you-"
He kissed her again as she held onto his arms, “You don’t know how long I’ve been holding these in.”
“Are you just going to kiss me every chance you get?”
“Every single chance, that you allow me too. Up until you poison me that is,” he brought his forehead to hers.
“I'll only poison you if you stop being affectionate.”
“Oh really?”
“Yup, so pucker up buttercup,” she tiptoed as she kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
“You can call me buttercup all you want, but with just us around. That’ll ruin my image and give Hiroto something to mess with me about otherwise.”
“Deal,” she giggled uncontrollably. He was extremely charming to her, making her glad she was doing this whole relationship with him. Masaki was crazy about her already, wanting to prove that he’d have her back in everything.
“C'mon,” Masaki grabbed her hand as he led her to his bike, “Kure and Hiro wanted us to follow.” He climbed on as Reign stepped up on the peg to sit behind him. She wrapped her fingers around his waist as she saw a smirk crossing his face.
They arrived to a warehouse as it seemed dark. Kurenai was already there with Hiroto awaiting the others. Masaki allowed Reign to climb off before kicking the stand.
“Stay close,” Kurenai held Hiroto's hand as she smiled at him pulling him closer to her.
They finally grouped up as Reign was curious why they were there. Noises in the shadows kept distracting her, but she didn’t think anything of it since they were supposed to be in district of Smoky; who was now their ally. The footsteps got louder as Reign tried to focus her eyes. Hiroto thought he noticed someone that was a spitting image of Kurenai, aside from silvery blonde hair, and sharp eyes; the complete opposite of Kurenai’s. He shook off the image meeting Masaki’s glance, as they grabbed the girls placing them behind. He got a weird feeling as they wanted to keep them safe. The districts weren’t their favorite, and there was no telling what was going to happen.
The lights dimmed more as they got in stance. Kurenai noticed as she placed her hand on Hiroto’s chest, “It's okay.”
She walked to the middle of the room as Hiroto tried to pull her back.
“Oh boy if only I could have a picture of all of your faces,” the figure in the dark started chuckling. “Reika Tokunaga, nice of you to bring us sacrifices.”
The lights changed back to normal as everyone adjusted their eyes.
“Kouga, what the hell. Are your morons with you?”
“Hey, that’s not nice Reika,” two other guys joined side with Kouga.
“Guys, this is Kouga, my brother and his two friends Kenshin and Saikon,” she stood next to Kouga.
“So what was it you wanted to see us about and why did you choose here?”
“We have a problem, and this is the safest place right now. Kuryu has honed in on Reign.”
“Who’s Reign and why should we care?”
Reign crossed her arms glaring at Saikon, “Don’t be a dick Saikon.”
“That name is dumb, we told you from the beginning.”
Reign punched him as he stumbled back, “I don’t care what you said.”
“Reign isn’t your name?” Masaki was confused.
“It’s an alias, my actual name is Kaida,” she looked at Masaki feeling guilt now that he didn’t know that. “With us being a Belladonna, we can’t let our real names be known.”
“Oh did we spark a lovers spat? How are you to be involved if you know nothing of her?” Saikon met Masaki’s glare with a chuckle.
“Not very wise to keep them, if you can’t protect them or know them,” Kenshin interjected.
Reign started to pull down her hair as Saikon surrendered, “Whoa okay I’m sorry. It’s been years since we’ve seen you two. Put your sticks back in your head.”
“It’s only been a few months, but joking aside, Kuryu destroyed my office and I know I’m not done seeing them. Your help is greatly appreciated when I need it.”
Kouga bounced happily knowing he was about to be in some action. Deep down he hoped it wouldn’t come to that, since his sister was in danger also, but he was ready to split skulls.
“We got you Reignkaida,” Kenshin held out his fist waiting for everyone to bump.
Masaki and Hiroto understood why their names weren’t disclosed until now, so that wasn’t a problem for them, at least they knew. Kouga wanted to take the edge off, so he offered to buy a round for everyone. It had been a while since they were together, it was well past time for a drink.
“So, what will you do Kaida?” Saikon poured drinks as he met her glance.
“Fight, what else is there to do? I won't go down easily.”
The others were quiet as they had the same thought. It was quite unfortunate she was being targeted, but with the three helping, it would work out in the end.
“It’s a shame you aren’t powerful enough to take them on, seeing as we’re being dragged into this as well,” he took a shot feeling Kaida's foot connect with his shin.
“Didn’t I tell you not to be an asshole?”
“You told me not to be a dick, which I’m rarely that,” he rubbed the place where she kicked him, “quit assaulting me.”
“Then don't say stupid shit Saikon.”
“I'm in agreement Sai,” Kouga looked up, “you’re bringing this upon yourself.”
Saikon glared at Reign. “Your name is still stupid.” He growled under his breath looking away.
Reign laughed at how that was the only thing he was caught up on. They all sat and talked the night away as the night was slowly getting away from them. Once Saikon had drinks in his system, he let up on Reign’s name and focused his energy on something else. They all discussed the upcoming war, and the newly found alliances. There was no telling how this was going to go, but it was hopeful that they would all come out unscathed.
“It’s getting late,” Kenshin stretched as he stood up, “we still have to find a nice hotel to sleep in.”
“Nonsense, you three will stay with us. Right Reign?”
Reign glanced amongst the guys as her eyes fell upon Saikon, a smirk formed. “Certainly, and we have a doghouse for Saikon as well.”
“This is why I can’t stand you most times Reign.”
They all laughed dispersing towards the house. Masaki and Hiroto followed behind. They showed the rooms to Saikon and the others, grabbing extra blankets for them.
“So are you against cuddling this soon in the relationship?” Reign winked at Masaki.
“Not at all,” he followed her to her room as he noticed it put together.
Reign went behind her partition to change into her sleep wear. Masaki had made his way to the bed already. She walked out from behind the partition smiling. She sat on the bed, looking at Masaki.
“You seem nervous Reign, don’t be scared of me. There are no expectations tonight. I just want to hold you,” He placed his hand on hers giving it a gentle squeeze.

Mini Fanfic #513: Morning After Comforting a Nightmare (SSBU X Persona 5)
10:05 a.m. Outside of Smash Mansion.....
Ren: (Takes a Walk with Dark Pit Outside of the Mansion) So I heard you and Pit help calmed Ryuji and Ann down from their nightmare last night. Couldn't thank you two enough for that.
Dark Pit: (Shrugged) Eh. It was nothing really. We just saw them crying and decided to help. Pretty sure they would do the same for us.
Ren: (Smiles Softly) Oh they would. Ann especially. But still, I'm glad those two got the help they needed last night.
Dark Pit: Yeah. Me too.
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) I also heard you were that close on going to Shiyuba to kick Kamoshida's ass.
Dark Pit: Yeah well....The way they described him and what he done to you guys did managed to pissed me off.
Ren: Yeah....I wouldn't blame you for being upset with him. He was a certified jackass if ever see one.
Dark Pit: Ain't that the truth...
Ren: But....In all honesty, I'm really glad you didn't go through it last night. I really appreciate you looking out for all of us, kiddo, but I don't want you to get yourself in trouble because of it.
Dark Pit: I know. I know. I won't try doing that again. Don't worry. I just....('Sigh') I really don't think any of you deserve that kind of crap, you know? I'm pretty sure Pit-Stain would say the same.
Ren: (Ruffles the top of Dark Pit's Hair) I know you don't. But the thing about all of this is that it's all in the past now. Sure, it sucks that we had to go through everything Kamoshida did to us and all the other victims he hurt along the way, but at the end of the day, we still manage to do whatever we can to pull through and put the bastard in his place. It wasn't easy, but....(Smiles Softly) we did it. So you guys don't have to worry about what happened to us in the past. Cause as long as we all got each other, I believe we're gonna be just fine. You understand?
Dark Pit: Yeah.......(Turns and Give Ren a Determined Look on his Face) But just know that neither of you dumbasses are alone here, you got that?! Because no matter what, we always got each others backs. So you better not forget that for years to come, Ren Amamiya!!
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly) Relax, man. We ain't gonna forget that for a long time. Trust me. (Smiles Sincerely) But.... seriously though, thank you.
Dark Pit: Yeah. It's... whatever......Also....
Ren: Hm?
And with that, Dark Pit rushes over and gives Ren a quick, yet loving hug which last around a whopping five seconds before pulling away.
Dark Pit: (Starts Blushing and Looking Away) That never happened.
Ren: (Gives Pitto a Playful Smirk on his Face) Okay, Pitto.
Dark Pit: (Glares at Ren) No seriously. I will literally fucking murder you if this goes back to the mansion!
Ren: (Chuckles Lightly While Ruffling Dark Pit's Hair) Dude, relax. I promise I won't say anything. You have my word.
Dark Pit: You better.....................I love you......
Ren: (Smiles Sincerely at his New Little Brother) I love you too, Lil' bro. (I love each and everyone of you guys so much.)
Bonus
Pit: You guys sure you're going to be okay for the rest of the day? Because I can-
Ann: (Giggles Softly) Pit-san, for the millionth time, we're going to be just fine. We promise.
Ryuji: (Smiles Brightly) Yeah, man. Relax. The nightmare sucks and all, but you and Pitto were there to help us out. We couldn't be anymore thankful than that really.
Pit: (Pulls Ann and Ryuji in for a Group Hug) I'm just glad you two.are doing a lot better now. I love you guys.
Ann: (Smiles Softly as She Hugs Pit Back) We love you too, Pit. Thanks again.
Ryuji: (Hugs Pit Back as Well) Yeah, man. It's kinda a shame we didn't get a chance to thank Pitto too before he left.
Pit: Yeah. That's Pitto for ya.........(Begins to Smile a bit more Evilly) You wanna give him an all out hug tackle together once he and Ren comes back here?
Ryuji: (Smiles Brightly to that Plan) Oh hell yeah!
Ann: (Smirks Playfully) I am so down with that.

My SSBU Cloud Strife fanfic headcanons
-Acts all calm, cool, and very loyal to his allies (like he does in the main canon), although a lot of fighters constantly mistaken him for being gloomy and brooding (but in reality, it’s all to hide to his more sillier, bravado-driven, softer, shy, and dorkier side).
-Very, VERY sarcastic at times, even towards his own allies (especially towards Lucina whenever she’s pretending to be Marth).
-Super enjoys hanging out with his friends and fellow dormmates, but won’t outright admit it.
-Due to him being loyal to his allies, sometimes they view him as a big brother or father figure (such as Shulk and Samus).
-Spends most of his time outside of the tournaments. However, it’s not that he doesn’t enjoy the Smash Tournaments, but rather, it’s more due to the fact that his previous battles in other worlds (such as World B from Dissidia) has left him rather bored of fighting, but he will take part in tournaments and battles at the request of his friends/opponents or in need of prize money.
---EXTENDED MUTUAL RELATIONSHIPS---
-Lucina: Loves her. A LOT. But kept his love for her hidden away due to his belief that she’s too good for him, they’re from different worlds, AND him being sure that she’ll find somebody “better suited for her”. Love confessed in the fanfic “Lucina’s Surprise”. Both share a lot in common and enjoy hanging out with each other, both in and out of tournaments. They sometimes get into fights whenever she’s pretending to be Marth (With Cloud going as far as to sarcastically refer to her “my liege” and her refer to him as “commoner”).
-Palutena: Respects her as a friend (due to her showing him the ropes when he was new to the Smash Tournaments), but a little annoyed by her...eccentric, playful attitude. But doesn’t outright hate her. Both share a friendly rivalry with one another, especially in regards to being with Lucina.
-Shulk: One of his closest friends and used to be one of his dormmates back in the 4th Smash Tournament. Cloud views him as if he had a little brother, and Shulk views him as an older brother.
-Kamui (Female Corrin): Like Palutena, the two share a friendly rivalry with one another. Both tend to compete with one another in regards to being closer to Lucina.
-Link: During the 4th Smash Tournament, both warriors had an intense rivalry and got off the wrong foot. However, due to this version of Link being completely different (this Link being from BotW), both share a more friendlier rivalry.
-Zelda: Like Link, the two also got off on the wrong foot. But due to this version of Zelda being different from her last counterpart (this Zelda hailing from ALTTP), both share a more friendly relationship. Cherishes Zelda a lot due to her upbeat, cheerful personality, reminding him of Aerith back in his world and Tidus from World B.
-Snake: Both share a friendly rivalry, but constantly get into fights, even going as far as Snake calling him “damn kid” and Cloud constantly bringing up his crush on Samus. However, they will put their differences aside to work together to resolve certain conflicts (such as making sure Wolf stays away from Isabelle).
-Isabelle: Protects her dearly, despite her being able to hold her own in fight. Isabelle mostly goes over to hang out with him whenever Villager, Snake, and/or Ren is busy. Sometimes, he views her as a surrogate daughter.
-Samus: Like Snake, also possesses a friendly rivalry with her, both due to being former roommates in the 4th Smash Tournament, their relationship with one another was like a sibling-like relationship, with a mix of sibling rivalry thrown into the mix. They still possess this kind of relationship, but in a more friendlier manner and not as intense as it was back in the 4th Tournament.
-Chrom: On very good terms with him, especially since Cloud’s good friends with his daughter.
-Reflet (Female Robin): Like Chrom, also on good terms with her. However, unlike Chrom, Cloud’s relationship with Reflet is more closer than it is with Chrom.
-Ren Amamiya/Joker: VERY good friends with him. Was more than willing to show him the ropes of the 5th Smash Tournament (with Lucina helping him out).
-Ganondorf: Greatly despises him, due to him picking a fight with both him and Lucina (as well as brainwashing Palutena one time). Not only that, but Ganon’s arrogant and sadistic demeanor greatly reminds Cloud of Sephiroth, whom he also despises.
-King K. Rool: Despises him as well, but not to the same extent as Ganondorf, but does view him as someone who’s just as obnoxious and sadistic as Ganon and Ridley.
-Ridley: Doesn’t care for him in the slightest, especially since Cloud is friends with Samus, Samus and Ridley hate each other, etc....
-Luigi: Like Isabelle, also protects him from the likes of Wolf, Dracula, etc...
-Pit: Due to Pit’s incredibly gullible (and sometimes annoying) nature, Cloud doesn’t really view him as a friend and more as a nuisance. But doesn’t outright hate him due to his loyalty to Palutena and that his nature reminds him of Bartz back in World B.
-Bayonetta: Views her as a friend, especially during the 4th Smash Tournament.
