I don’t think you understand how badly I needed this. And also the fact that people remember Onyx’s existence makes me realize I make a bigger impact than I thought I did. It makes me so happy people remember him and I love YOU SO MUCH😭 you’re genuinely so amazing and have become honestly a bit of a safe place for me. I hope I can make more Onyx content one day, I don’t have much lore on him currently and sometimes I’m worried he’s too cringe because I take myself too seriously sometimes. You’re so sweet and nice and thank you for all your interest and headcanons and nice words🥺

i’m sorry (but also really not) but this the vaultghoul poto au has me in a chokehold- and i don’t know if i’ll ever write or if someone else wants the challenge, but here are my thoughts on what the au could be.

a vaultghoul phantom of the opera au where cooper is the phantom and lucy is christine.

would have elements from both the book, musical, and the show.

cooper obviously looks like how he is in the show for his disfigurement, and wears a black half mask to cover the upper half of his- also kudos for this because coop does look exactly like erik (the phantom) in the book.

debating if cooper will be born deformed or someone or something causes him to be disfigured.

i personally like the latter more just to play with the idea of cooper once being a famous star within the opera house who befell a terrible incident that ruined his life and is now embittered and angry, wishing to exact vengeance against those that ruined his life.

only a slightish change, but ‘the ghoul’ is added along with ‘the phantom’ and ‘the opera ghost’ as his other aliases.

lucy is a ballet dancer in the opera, the daughter of the famous soprano, rose maclean. i’m not certain where hank would be for this au, but he’s not exactly in the family picture, but i would want him to cause some kind of conflict in the future.

slow down there abbie, we don’t have time to write a full story- let’s just stick to the basics.

lucy and norm come to live and work at the opera house under the care of moldaver (madame giry) after the death of their mother- lucy in the ballet corps. and norm with the stagehands.

lucy had always been a talented singer until she hears a voice in the halls, vents, and the grand stage she visits late at night, and starts starts teaching her that the managers begin to take notice.

cooper takes notice of lucy whenever she walls the grand stage late at night singing to herself. he becomes intrigued by her.

so cooper watches lucy from afar and doesn’t make himself known to her as the ‘voice’ until he finds her crying in the opera chapel, grieving for her mother after a long, trying day.

mother said, "When i'm in heaven, child, i will send the angel of music to you."

cooper commends her voice, but tells lucy it needs training. he offers her voice lessons, promising to help lucy become the greatest singer the world has seen- does it come at a cost later on for his own purposes- that it is for all to decide if lucy is a means to an end but ends up wrecking his plans by becoming more.

fuck i’m getting sidetracked again-

over the years the two develop a bond that extends the bounds of teacher and student, cooper’s infatuation with lucy becoming deeper.

steph is lucy’s roommate and friend- sharing the role of meg with norm- and she and norm are the only two who can put up with lucy’s disappearances and odd hours, though are concerned by the strange behavior.

cooper continues to reign the opera house as his domain, demanding the managers to follow his instructions on how the opera should run, and causes ‘accidents’ if anything doesn’t go his way.

on the night of the gala, lucy finds herself replacing the prima donna when the former falls ill. she is an overnight sensation and ensnares the hearts of half the city, and much to cooper’s jealous chagrin, catches the eye of the opera’s newest patron.

i’m tempted to make maximus raoul, however, monty would fit a little better- so we’re going with monty because i want this vicomte and his intentions towards the new starlet to be sinister. because fuck monty.

lucy is at first flattered by monty’s attention, but becomes soon after uncomfortable by his advances.

and though she is charmed by the young detective (maximus) that was hired by the managers to prove there is no opera ghost, she is still drawn to the mysterious voice.

on the night of her triumph, cooper reveals himself and takes lucy into the vast underground tunnels of the opera house. it is here where lucy becomes enamored by the man who has given her so much, but is confused why he wears the mask. Surely a face would match a voice as beautiful and deep as his.

it only takes removing a mask to change the course of a relationship and for the two of them to cross the point of no return.

My friend made the horrible decision to make a bet against me about Falsettos. I won. Because obviously. My reward was forcing him to watch Falsettos for his first time. This is how that experience went:

My friend thinks Trina is annoying. I will not accept this Trina slander.

My friend hates "I'm Breaking Down" because it's repetitive. My breakdowns are repetitive. That's why it's the most iconic song.

My friend called the song “March of the Falsettos” a creepy drug trip comparable to a 1980s horror movie. I had to refrain from explaining all the symbolism of it, which I failed miserably as I explained the deep themes of masculinity.

My friend took his phone out during “Father to Son” and “More Racquetball” for about five seconds. I am just as offended as when he fell asleep while listening to the soundtrack a couple weeks back and not getting my references to the lyrics.

My friend made the astute observation: “He definitely has a boner.” I'm sure you can guess who he was talking about.

My friend remarked that Cordelia's chicken soup would make Whizzer sicker. I can't say I disagree. Thank the Jewish Lord I almost believe in she learned to cook.

My friend really does not understand the concept of a reprise. The chorus is not a reprise.

Update: his favorite character is Whizzer. Understandable. He hates Marvin with a burning passion. Unacceptable.

People, I successfully converted him into a Falsettos fan. Before, he was insulting it to get a rise out of me. Now he almost feels bad about insulting it and it's rivaling with West Side Story. - They meet during Truham/Higgs trip to US or something 

- I can see Charlie getting along with Victor since they’re both gay disasters

- Lake instanly befriending Imogen. At some point Imogen ends up having a sleepover at Lake’s almost everyday. Lucy is not jealous though, she trusts her gf

- Lake/Lucy going on double dates with Tara/Darcy

- Ok so there are three Nicks now: Nick Nelson (Heartstopper), Nick Eisner (Simon) and Nick-Victor’s ex boyfriend, which causes so much chaos and  misunderstandings

- Simon and Nick N getting along well. Nick teasing Simon about his complete lack of coordination, Simon passing his oreo addiction onto Nick 

- Abby adoring Tara and Darcy sm

- Rahim and Elle chatting about fashion + painting each other’s nails

- Tori and Pilar becoming besties, gossiping about their brothers

- Charlie eventually opening up to Lake about his eating disorders since it’s something she’s familiar with as well

- Bram and Charlie teasing their less academic boyfriends

- Tao acting super jealous at first, but eventually warming up to the new friends

- Mia and Elle hanging out a lot. Both are super chill and cool, with best fashion senses

- Nick N. running into Cal somewhere. They end up having emotional conversation about bisexuality 

- Surprisingly, Tao and Felix becoming close. Both are extremely loyal and quirky. They also share love for weird movies

- Andrew acting protective around Charlie; he’s such a fierce ally and hearing about Char’s bad experiences with his rugby teammates made him sad 

- Tara, Darcy and Charlie occasionally playing with Benji and Lucy’s band 

- Endless tea versus coffee debates

- Nick and Charlie being the cutest and maybeee Victor and Benji get a little competitive around them 

- everyone asking Simon for dating advice and he’s like bitch I’m just as clueless as you, just got lucky

not like anyone cares, but since I already did my review on the characters of Love, Victor s3, here it goes for the couples:

Victor/Benji, Victor/Rahim, Victor/Nick: I honestly couldn't care less. I'm sorry, I really tried to be interested in ANY of them but I couldn't. The love triangle (turned quadruple this season) annoyed me so much I just didn't give a shit. It's not like I even hate any of these ships, I'm just indifferent and was rooting for Victor to end up single.

Pilar/Felix: MY BABIES!! WHY DID THEY TAKE MY BABIES AWAY FROM ME??? Like seriously, the entire season they were paralleling Lake and Lucy non-stop and THE ONLY DIFFERENCE? Lake and Lucy end up together while these two soulmates don't. I am sooooo mad at their ending, like so so so mad. The writers fucked up big time and I don't care what anyone else has to say. They deserved better, should've been endgame and will get back together in the future no matter what (my heart says so, okay?)

Lake/Lucy: OH MY GODD, I'M ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THEM. THEIR DEVELOPMENT, THE WAY THEY TALK TO EACH OTHER, THE WAY THEY ACT WITH EACH OTHER, LAKE ASKING HER MOM TO LET LUCY STAY AT THEIR SPARE APARTMENT SO LUCY DOESN'T HAVE TO MOVE??? WONDERFUL. I just- I just love them so much. They were one of the only things season 3 did right and I'm soo glad they were endgame.

Andrew/Mia: Despite the fact that Andrew was willing to drop his whole life for this relationship when he didn’t even know If they would end up together or not, they were incredibly cute and I do love them. I wasn’t that invested in the relationship itself, but I can say that If they didn't end up together, something would feel weird.

Armando/Isabel: Cute, super adorable, I really liked their dynamic with each other this season. They felt like they were finally understanding of each other and I like that a lot.

Rahim/Connor: Just added this one here to say that I love them, mostly because Rahim got the happy ending he deserved with a really nice guy that wasn't involved in any drama from the Creekwood crew and I think that’s neat.
