Do you ever just think about how Disney fucked over the development of Nimona, only for it to get the most Annie Award nominations amidst the 2024 selection, while all Wish got was a consolation prize
Happy to see the series winning at Annie Awards once again, marking its 3rd streak of winning at least one nomination at Annies ( we almost had all of them but i'm also happy that Blue Eye Samurai won ), as well as the 7th and final Annie win.
Congrats to the crew, and thank you all once again for bringing us this amazing series!
Seeing Nimona get nominated for multiple awards that Disney usually gets while their 100th anniversary film gets ignored is the kind of karmic justice that almost makes award shows worth it
With such an amazing line-up of Annie nominations, I was indeed taken off guard with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse being the dominant winner.
But still, all these wins were truly deserved for this earth-shattering sequel. Big congrats!
I'm also very happy that Nimona won two Annies, and I couldn't be more prouder with its win for Best Writing - Feature.
Robert L. Baird and Lloyd Taylor made me cry from not just Nimona's amazing writing but also their acceptance speech? These guys are just incredible!
Also, a big congratulations to all the other winners and nominees of this year's Annie Awards. It brings me such joy seeing these incredible creatives get the recognition of such high honour.
And of course, Eric Bauza, thank you for spreading the important message. What a legend!
An incomplete list of awards the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was nominated for or won…
Don't mind me, I'm doing an experiment to see if I can archive old Dreamworks She-Ra posts on Tumblr in case the Twitter account goes inactive and everything is deleted…
