Thinking about how I randomly got into The Smiths, then noticed a few different people talking about them negatively, went "Huh. Weird. I bet their fans are kinda pretentious, but what's the deal?" Then only learned later from someone reblogging an aesthetic photo of a shirt with a quote from one of their songs on it that one or multiple of the band members was like a Massive Racist, and looking more into that to find the guy said some racist shit about Chinese People Specifically

it was already like 4 days ago but i had such a fun time at atl/mayday parade!!

i lined up early to get a good spot cos i was expecting like a line, like for there to actually be a line, but when i got there i was only the 12th person??? tbf there were over a 100 people doing vip apparently so without a lot of them in our ga line there was obviously a lot fewer ppl, but still!

unfortunately it was warmer than i was expecting and i ended up getting a bit sun burnt :( mostly on my nose, brow, upper lip, and hands. nose was the worst! still a bit ouchy, or maybe hands were worst in that i got burned in the same areas as my dermatitis which is a bad combo! they're mostly okay now but my face still hurts a bit. but anyway! i didn't realise i'd got burned until after the show was over when we went into the bathroom so it was too late to do anything about it :/

but again, anyway! my sister and her friend joined me in line a couple hours after i got there so i hung out with some other ppl waiting. my sister said she doesn't like having to line up early but i like it! it's part of the experience to me! but maybe also because i don't have anyone to go to shows with besides her so i like getting to hang out with ppl??? it's nice to just get know ppl a little! and they're like my kinda ppl too i guess because we like similar music!! hard to find that in everyday life

it was a very orderly line though, like we didn't stay in a line, the people who got there first (at like 5am!) numbered everyone with a sharpie, which is like sure it's not official as my sister loved to point out, but it did make everything more chill. they number over 70 ppl before it got too much to keep track of, and then when it was close to doors everyone just lined up basically in order!? it was surprising but nice to see!

anyway, when we actually got into the show! we ended up second row behind some ppl who did vip and some who were ahead of us in line. i can't say it was the best spot but like that's closer than i've ever been to the front when seeing atl before so! i just wish the base of the barricade went a little further back? like it's so hard to jump up and down on an uneven surface!!!

mayday parade were soooooo good as always!! they played a lot of older stuff, like their classic best stuff, the stuff ppl know the words to and we can all sing together!! i wish their set had been longer!!! i mean i guess they were on for nearly 50 minutes? but still!!!

atl also were obviously great too!! we sung happy birthday to some guy? (idk? he was playing a keyboard or something?) 3 times lmao, and alex jack and the bday guy (plus someone in the crowd) all did shoeys (from their own shoes!! not like josh from ymas who used an audience member's lol). it was such a messy show, but like in a good way!! i DO want to see bands having fun together and chatting with us and that kinda thing, like alex was being so silly!!

i was also in the absolute perfect position that when jack threw up his first guitar pick, no one had no idea where it was going, including me, but it hit me right in the middle of the chest lmao. got to pick it up right off the floor cos no one knew it had hit me so no one was looking for it!! third time i've managed to get a pick like that, although first time actually getting hit by it lol

feel like there might have been more i wanted to write about but i can't remember now! oh well. it was a fun night anyway!! would add photos or something but i'm not on my phone so maybe some other time

oh but they played new religion!!! i was so excited when they played it!!!! actually they played two songs i didn't know, i guess their new one with avril lavigne that i haven't heard and some other one??? gonna have to look that up at some point i guess

first off every YIIK character is queer and neurodivergent becuz I'm queer and neurodivergent and I said so, the specifics of that depend on my mood and what sort of au bullshit i'm coming up with at 2am in a VC with my friends tho

Alex is complicated. i hate him hes a massive douche but also I really do get what the devs were trying to with him. the occasions when he's being nice and having fun with his friends are where he shines and honestly at heart hes just some guy who needs to get a grip and get his shit together (relatable). if i knew him personally i'd probably slap him and then we'd be good, he probably specialised in sci-fi/fantasy creative writing for his libarts degree and definitely wrote an essay at somepoint about videogames as an art form. He has tattoos but they're all probably really cringe and embarassing because they were super trendy when he got them and then fell out of fashion, he has one of those barbed wire ones around his upper arm.

Michael is my FAVORITE GUY OF ALL TIME HES SO SILLY but also i've made him horribly angsty in my brain as well it's so. i think him and alex have a really good "friends who are used to each other's bullshit" dynamic but also i ship them a little bitty bit just cuz i'm a sucker for besties who are obliviously in love with each other as a trope. He would hate-watch ancient aliens and buzzfeed unsolved because he thinks he knows better than them. If you read his comments on ONISM he also seems to be a really sweet and supportive guy with the userbase and thats rlly cool hes such a guy Aside from that though he has the most unexplored depth as a character imo, since it's confirmed he isn't from the present reality and at some point definitely becomes aware of that fact I like to think underneath the funnyman bestie thing he's probably having a crisis about who he is and stuff because even before he's consciously aware of it he probably felt this vague subconscious feeling of like,,,Not Belonging ig? idk i think he probably knows this isn't where hes really meant to be and hes trying to truck through it but the impostor syndrome is definitely there. I love michael so much he is a certified blorbo

Rory is sooo mecore I stole his name online because he's so mecore we are both emo/scene kids and his canon favorite song according to some questions directed at the dev team is a brighteyes song that i also love its like fate. ANYWAY I feel really bad for Rory because i think his character is probably handled one of the worst just with the tonal whiplash a lot of his character-centric moments has. I bet he listens to weezer and radiohead. If YIIK was set now he would be into creepypasta and he would get michael into it since it ties in with his paranomal urban legend stuff, they would vlog hunting for slenderman together. him and alex run a gaming channel together (THIS IS AN INSIDE JOKE BUT I HAD TO PUT IT IN I COULDNT HELP MYSELF)

Vella is pretty and I think she's super cool, one of my besties LOVES her so I kinda let him be the friend group CEO of vella stuff but my biggest takeaways from her is that I hope she gets back into making music again, but for her own fun this time instead of to fulfill some success pressure. maybe she starts a crappy little garage band with some of the gang and they write terrible songs about aliens who smoke pot and dance the macarena and she's the only one there who can actually play but they have fun with it. She also knows all the videogame cheat codes and keeps setting high scores that alex and michael cant beat. Also her mind dungeon reminds me of yume nikki and thats super cool cuz i love yume nikki

Chondra and Claudio deserved way more time for their characters to develop and also their lore is weird and confusing and I think the whole missing brother thing is rlly weird too becuz of the reveal of how that all works with alex and shit. BUT if they had been handled bettter they probably would be my favorites because I think claudio is super fun and his VA sounds like he's really going for it and he's just such a chill guy and he's super passionate about his interests and i respect that and 100% would be his bestie chondra is super cool too, she's clearly really into sports and I bet she hangs out at the local skate park and impresses everyone cuz of her roller skates and also probably gets vella into skating too and they go together and have matching customised helmets just for the extra cool factor. alex and michael and rory come and watch them but are too pussy to try (alex has had enough from that stupid skateboard ability you get in vella's dungeon). Maybe she goes to some competitions for it and stuff too

uhhh some other various stuff the essentia is really cool but also confusing and it took ages to make sense of her lore but i LOVE her voice the effects to make it robot-y are *chefs kiss* and essentia 995 is just SO idk how to describe it the part when she says "often it is necessary to lie to oneself to get a tough job done" hits really hard for some reason. shes metal as fuck, metaphorically and literally. sammy is literally a caricature of a real life dead girl and i think that's pretty fucked up and they shouldnt have done that, but she would have been really cool if it wasn't for that big yikes. in general i really love a lot of the influences yiik has i'm a huge fan of rpgmaker horror and murakami books and a bunch of the other shit that it references so hehehehehe thats cool

a good friend: always loses to sebastian but plays with him anyway, very good buddy judging from how sebastian talks about him

an adhd icon: forgets things often, gets distracted easily, spent 4 hours straight playing guitar once

a sunflower golden retriever boy: lights up on sunny days or in summer, looks up to the farmer a lot, happy-go-lucky vibe

all of this puts him in quite the ugly light compared to the other five bachelors who seem more mature and responsible than him overall. i can't fully encapsulate why i like sam the most out of the bachelors but i will try, damn it.

he's the type of guy you have a crush on in high school until you grow up into an adult with real world responsibilities. sam is all about having fun, relaxing, and enjoying life as it comes. for me, he's thrilling. he would be able to push me out of my comfort zone because he reminds me of the life i'd like to live. there's nothing i would rather do than make my partner happy and have nothing but a ball of goofy sunshine when i come home.

of course, that wouldn't be as simple in the real world. sam would be insufferable to live with eventually as he doesn't seem to mature until kids are in the picture. but this is a video game and sam is an extrovert who would ramble on about aliens with me 'til 2 in the morning. some days i feel more like sebastian, cynical about the world and reserved. i imagine sam would do for me what he might do for sebastian: he'd cheer me up any way he knew how. playing a sick tune on the guitar, showing me tricks on his skateboard, putting my favourite sitcom on and getting me a stuffed crust pizza drowned in melty mozzarella cheese.

perhaps that's why i made this blog. i wanted to create more story to this character. i wanted him to be more than just a skater boy turned lazy dad. i wanted him to be a lazy skater boy who's funny and can make you laugh in the worst (best) times possible. out of all the bachelors, there's no one i'd feel happier being in a virtual marriage to than sam with his goofy antics and immature dorkiness.

i'm not a creative writer which is why i went to film school and not real school and write scripts. but i'll watch something dumb and post fics every now and then. so during lockdown i got this crazy idea in my head abt this very self-indulgent ridiculously boring but fun-for-me character study fic for winteam. i don't even know why i would have gotten the urge, i just liked them so much and bounprem's dynamic too.

around that time things everywhere were super fraught (still fucking is obviously) but it was when the pandemic was super bad and people were dropping like FLIES and there was constant state-sanctioned murder. in thailand there were a lot of protests because of a coup going on there and a protester in the VICE video i watched on it said music helped them deal with the poverty and drug use in the slum they lived in in thailand. the left and/or artistic, indie, DIY scenes in other countries always fascinate, inspire, and entice me. uniteasia is a great resource for alternative asian music. a large chunk is dedicated to metal, which i'm not into, but there's a decent amount of post-/punk, DIY/grunge, indie/alt, and post-hardcore. i've been seeing a lot of shoegaze lately too.

so all this brewing in me i started to really think about a (queer) anarcho-commieesque band au fic but team is a (gasp) [cis] girl and i know i know boo hoo but also fuck that! i got a comment about that which bugged me cause i had to justify my sexuality which was weird because why are we both not embarrassed to be on ao3? i get the impulse but no because it was specifically because of all the stuff above and me listening to a lot of my favorite bands like nirvana—in uwma win had posters of nirvana on his wall plus his hair (which could be poser-ish but now he has like 3 and a radiohead poster and an arctic monkeys and oasis poster so you know what werq plus i am actually a poser)—and hole, fiona apple (who had just come out with her new album), vince staples, a bunch of other good shit, and getting into sonic youth. it just got me thinking of like music and art and diy and gender and identity because that's something those bands/people talk(ed) about and struggled with, along with sexuality obviously, and i wrote a lot; still writing. so much was going on then but like life had to stop so so much wasn't? that intensity they bring...what it would be like when there's so much shit going on in the world, if team was different when shit is so different. in any other circumstance, i wouldn't have imagined this specific scenario (i published one? i think or maybe two fics i had for them b4 and wrote some on my own)

anyway i thought about just taking it down and completely reworking some of it into some script for some dumb romcom i'd attempt to write in a pipe dream for it to get made but these 2 are just too compelling for me and now that this show is here??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?! they're the only ship that could make me give half of a shit enough to even think this hard or continue something for up to 2 fucking years or even think about it. and for what? cos the fic is bad cos again can't write like that but just what? they had FORTY MINUTES in uwma. that's actually bonkers insane. like i cannot believe this????? how can i clown on them too much when they got so many of us fuckin' whipped. it's fun writing them just being hot and cool and doing art tho lmao it's fun watching them jus tbeing hot and cool and freakishly in love anyway i'm editing the stuff i've written and posted and will just save it instead of reposting. so if anyone ever read it before they can be extremely surprised at how different it is ^___^

i would just like to rant for a sec about kpop groups not be able to sing. i’ve stanned btob for a while now and have always liked groups that have good vocals and when they joined kingdom i was like eh sure i’ll watch some old men hang out with the kids.

most of it was… fine ig i knew i was biased but i thought btob had some only the most creative stages and it was fun to watch them interact with other groups. but then stray kids covered i’ll be your man and i was like ???? who in the i worms thought that group could handle those vocals?? i sometimes randomly think about it and cringe real bad and get secondhand embarrassment bc it i hated it that much. and then all my stray kids fans were like wow best performance i’ve ever seen. like???? idk if you’ve watched it but i was like how could anyone be proud of that perf 😂 anyways i left that showing knowing one thing and it was btob kings of vocals

btob rearranges their own songs to make them easier to perform live, what were they thinking.... btob has like 5 way easier titles... for example: if they did 2nd confession... chill song with a+ line distribution and it's still not boring. i'd say 'respect' and go my merry way. even thriller would be a better choice but it still has bits that aren't as easy as they seem

btob titles.. starting with winters tale and ending with show your love... they are all tailor made for them. eunkwang is the one who oversees part distribution. that's why their songs seem easy... they are made for them and them only idc! that's the truth. not every group has 4 v good vocalists plus rappers than can carry a tune and have a clear diction.

yea i get angry anons wherever i talk about how btob songs are hard to cover and almost no one pulls them off... idc. ppl just want to show off their vocals so they don't re-arrange the songs or adjust the key. big mistake huge. one of very few good btob covers is lightsum's only one for me. they changed it up and took it easy. worked out well. if u cant sing like btob... maybe dont cover their songs... btob spent 3 years of extreme nugudom going on radio/tv shows and covering 173849 songs, from super hard korean ballads to jpop classics. i have a whole yt playlist full of uncut btob rehearsal videos and they are just... wearing sweats, playing around And singing their ass off. btob on chill mode is what some idols fail to achieve on stage...

btob kondom stages were crazy bc 1. they pulled them off vocally 100% despite half of them being sick 2. u dont need to read a whole essay to understand ~symbolism and meaning~ 3. you can tell they learnt a lot from years of doing concerts with Live Band And musicals 4. whole staff working with them nailed their job, from choreographers, dancers, set designers to stylists

2. What form of response to your work gives you the most serotonin?

one thing i super love is when someone picks up on a pretty buried joke. i LOVE that experience from the other side as a reader (or watcher! or listener!) so it's such a fun kick if an easter egg type thing lands for someone <3

12. Do you have any advice for writing sex scenes?

this i tried to answer, and i guess my conclusion was broadly: it's gonna depend on (what you're trying to achieve with) the scene/s, and the best way to improve at writing sex scenes is probs to write (varied, in mAny senses) sex scenes, and considering what you do/n't like abt sex scenes in stories is probs a great way to crack what you're trying to do. (which i think is advice that can be applied to writing whatever, it’s not specific to sex scenes really.)

i guess i'd add: (just) write some!!! again this is probs also my advice abt writing anything lol, bc a draft is a tangible thing which you can mess with & improve!!! much easier to do that than with a lack of a thing!!!! and you don't need to share/post it ever if you don't want to!!!! & maybe this eXtra goes for a topic which a lot of ppl feel shame or awkwardness abt

also, i tend to plan what im writing at least to some extent based on what im trying to gain out of it. for example, im planning on writing a (s h o r t) dean pov cr*ckfic, partially as a warm up exercise for the band au (which i think is gonna have a fair amount of dean in it, bleugh), and the rio-dean bodyswap fic (ft onscreen dean! wot!) was partially a warm up FOR said dean pov thing. i def think one can do the same with sex scenes (or indeed anything else). 

something else ive found helpful is: writing or planning theoretically similar sex scenes (involving the same 2 losers) ~contemporaneously in pretty different fics (say rathEr angsty vs relatively fluffy) -- bc ok maybe the mechanics will be similar, but focussing in on the DIFFERENCES (in terms of mood and physicality and communicativeness and detailedness of pov etc etc) can make a scene feel specific and resonant so idk maybe that’s a good ~exercise to try generally?

15. What’s the worst synonym suggestion you’ve ever encountered?

ooooof....... ok so like, i’ll buy pretty much anything as a synonym if you sell me on it. i’ll buy lamps or orbs or globes or backpacks or sequins or w/e as a synonym for eyes IF it’s set up!!! (like if u go ‘blah blah’s eyes were heavy and grey-flecked like their backpack’, u can probs reel in referring to their eyes as ‘those (optic?) backpacks’ later cos i know what’s up!

i think the issue with (maybe particularly online?) thesauruses is that a lot of context is lost -- you’re being told abt words that have similar but not identical meanings & a lot of the time you can’t just swing in a replacement word in to an already constructed sentence and have it make sense.

im sure this isnt the worst but i see it quite a lot so:

afaik anyway, ‘to don’ does NOT mean ‘to wear’, it means ‘to put on’. if someone dons an item of clothing, that means they weren’t wearing it before!!! just looked it up and ‘don’ is absolutely listed as a synonym of ‘wear’ (as in to be clothed in) on thesaurus.com and hmm...i guess that’s not wrong per se cos once you put something on you are wearing it but....hmm i don’t think they quite mean the same thing so you can end up with some unintended hilarity using it

Music for the Masses (1987)- obligatory "my favorite song of all time is on this album". the other songs on here are also incredible (notably Strangelove, Behind the Wheel, and Nothing). arguably my favorite bonus tracks of any of the albums. this album has the essential dark tones/vibes but probably in the most beautiful way of any of the albums. 9/10 (not 10 purely because i do not like I Want You Now. the breathing makes me v uncomfy jdknfbs)

Violator (1990)- the depeche mode album. there were "hits" on other albums, but literally every single one of their BIGGEST hits was on this album (Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence, and Policy of Truth). and those hits do a good job of showing you what depeche mode is about, and what violator is about, but listening to the whole thing is another experience. 10/10 whether you only passively care about dm or you're a huge fan you should absolutely give this one a listen

Songs of Faith and Devotion (1993)- notice how i didn't say the best album on violator? thats because this one is. hands fucking down. dave's best vocal performances are on this album, which even he himself has said (on Condemnation). following up violator was tough but i say this did so very well. it went in another, slightly bluesy direction, but was still undeniably dm. 11/10 holy fuck

Ultra (1997)- now i know i gave sofad an 11, but i still consider this one to be my favorite dm album. imo it combines the aspects of the previous two wonderfully, a similar groove to sofad but wouldn't be out of place on violator. being the first album after alan left, there is the slightest hint of "things are going to evolve once again", and that's completely okay. 10/10 ily ultra

A tier

Construction Time Again (1983)- i'd say this is the album where they finally hit their groove. very synthy, but it's not just bright and poppy now. this is also when they first really started sampling sounds, and they did well with it. a while ago richard spencer, known far-right bitch, called dm the "band of the alt-right" and dave famously told him to fuck off, and "has he even heard our music??". he cited some songs from music for the masses i think, but i'd say really this album is probably what dave was talking about with that statement. there is literally a song on here called The Landscape is Changing. anyways 10/10 there are sounds on this one that also make me a little uncomfy (namely the whispering in Told You So) but this album is just so good

Sounds of the Universe (2009)- so i said cta was when they hit their groove, i'd say sotu is when they hit it again after alan left (ultra was kinda like when you let go of a kid on a bike, and they're doing pretty good at first). dave actually contributes some songs on this album, and specifically Miles Away/The Truth Is is pretty great. has both the most hopeful dm song (Peace) and arguably the most up-frontly depressed dm song (Wrong). 9/10 it's a bit longer than the typical album but still a fantastic listen

Delta Machine (2013)- they went bluesy on sofad, and they REALLY did here. where sofad was more of a slow boil, this one goes in this direction with a bit more force. uhh tbh don't have much else on this one except i have yet to listen to Happens All The Time (a bonus song) w/o crying lol. 9/10 sound can get a teensy bit muddied at times but still very solid album

Spirit (2017)- most recent album! and oh boy if you thought they were disgruntled at the world during cta, they are pissed here. first album where theres swearing. some ppl think this was written in response to richard spencer but this existed before that, just happened to release pretty soon after which is still amazing. sound is beautiful here, dave's voice is still very strong (and even carried over some of that soul from delta machine), and i'd even say it's one of martins best performances. 10/10 this is modern dm and i love it

B tier

Black Celebration (1985)- this album is pure concentrated dm vibes. dark tones, industrial influence, synths. a bit too hyped up imo, but still very deserving of some hype. the best transitions of any dm album. dave and martins voices are great here, but especially when they're singing together (a really good example being Here is The House), some of the best harmonies between them on this album. 9/10 an essential dm album. literally if you somehow made it this far but stop reading here the one thing i ask of you is to listen to Stripped

Exciter (2001)- so that bike analogy about ultra? this is where the kid eventually falls over. definitely a different sound. like sofad and delta machine went in different directions than previous albums, but something about exciter's vibes were REALLY different without necessarily feeling like it was heading towards a different genre. BUT! this is still a super underrated album. this is a very good "i want some quieter dm vibes to listen to" album (ofc save for Dead of Night which is very loud lol). 8/10 not super up there for me but i do find myself listening to this album quite a bit

Playing the Angel (2005)- ok i didnt have much to say on delta machine but i like, really dont immediately here. first album in which dave contributes songs! and all of the ones he wrote (Suffer Well, I Want it All, Nothing's Impossible) are pretty solid. Macro is also an incredible song like holy shit. 8/10 sound (balance especially) is a little worse than delta machine's but oh MAN are there some good songs on here.

C tier

Speak and Spell (1981)- alright now we're lower down the list. i know i cant/shouldnt be too mean to the very first album, so i won't. but man is this as poppy as synthpop gets (which i know can be mostly attributed to vince, who then left after this album). i have not listened this album very much because of that, but i do listen to a good number of the songs off of it on the regular. 7/10 vocals are kinda drowned out at times, but cant hate baby dave and the lads too much. it's very sugary sweet, but in a fun way

Some Great Reward (1984)- i really don't listen to this one as much as i should tbh. this album i actually like almost all the songs off if it even! but i just don't listen to the whole thing together often. i'd put more eloquent thoughts and feelings on this one but i'm writing this shortly after having taken a zquil sO my brain has kinda run out of steam now lol sorry. In Your Memory and Set Me Free (Remotivate Me) are very good tho omg. 8/10 if there was a letter between C and D i'd have put this in that spot

A Broken Frame (1982)- i did these as S-D and not S-F because i couldnt be that mean ndjkfsb but im srry something had to be at the bottom still. actually had this and Speak and Spell switched at first but then i realized I liked more songs off of the sas. (again would put more but zquil REALLY tryna take me down now, think i'll actually attempt sleep now). 6/10 just not one i super vibe with. the sound here is REALLY off balance a lot but hey this was mart kinda on his own and he gave it his bestest shot

Pt 3: Here we have the big 3 and Pro hero songs with Shinso just for fun because he can (and should) be.

Mirio - The energy, the lyrics and the band really just suit him. I don't know how someone can listens to this song and not think of him, it's too perfect.

Tamaki - This song is about doing the best you can but still never having anything good happen to you and still being stuck in depression but continuing to try. It's quite upbeat and if you didn't listen to the lyrics, you could probably just vibe it and move on without much thought.

Nejire - It was super hard to think of one for her and I don't know why. This one just kinda stuck out at me because it's very high energy and happy.

Shinso - and this is 1st song I came up with for playlist! This song is from this animation and I used to watch it over and over as a kid but I watched it last year again and it made me think of Shinso. Ppl always give him emo songs, same as Aizawa, but thats not really who they are at heart so I changed it up. Now he has Jazz 🤣

Aizawa - The man! The dad! Aizawa! Now, this song is reminds me of younger Aizawa and his self doubt and 'Can we skip to the good part?' is like flashing forward to now (or at least before the year before UA and first few 😅)

Yamada - Yamada is 100% the kind of person this song makes you feel like. Party animal, jamming and grabs your attention as soon as the walk in. It's also the kinds of some I can see him sing like, you can so hear "You are now- now rockin with Present Mic and Midnight bitch"

Kayama - another one of our pros that grabs the attention instantly! While Kayama can be chill, it's not very often so a sexy kinda song is best she do be like that a lot and is confident in herself that way. It's kinda sounds like she's fighting with My lady too so that works ( I can also hear her singing it in a karaoke battle).

Toshinori - 👀 it's started as a joke but the more I played it for him, the more it the more it works. Toshi also has 2 actual theme songs in the soundtrack n I was so tempted to put them in place instead. This is an amazing fit tho, so it stays!

Sasaki - This was a joke but once again, it's stays. I'm sure if Sasaki could, he would 100% keep trying to get Toshi to listen to him but his power is based in the future. It's kinda romantic n I personally am under the popular belief they had something more going on there butvi feel it always works in the context of them platonically. Nighteye isn't much of a character beyond his relationship All might so it was a hard pick and I just stick with this one. It's also kinda funny.

Tensei - 😭 I love him! He 👏needs👏 more 👏love! Anyway, this song is very pumped up, an older classic and ' Work it harder, make it better, Do it faster, makes us stronger More than ever, hour after hour Work is never over' makes it have that hard working team element that Team Idaten has. It's a very fast working team but is super careful and caring. Each part has a place and it doesn't always look like it would fit but they make it fit.

Wild wild pussycats - When I hear Pussycats it's makes me think of The pussycats dolls 😅 no one really thinks about them anymore and just like the bnha public also don't think about the WWP anymore. I feel like this fits the high energy, 'Were still popular' vibe of Pixie-Bob and Ragdoll but the 'Be careful what you wish for' reminds me of the fact that Mandalay and Tiger are a bit more chill now, Tiger probably not liking being in the spotlight while transitioning and them now being back in the popular spotlight because of the LOV attack and it's side effects. It's also a pop group and that's very much the style they go for

Toyomitsu - it's 2 choices with him and I went for this one cos I like MIKA more and I think it's also got a more positive feel to it. More dancing and fun like Fat is.

Hakamada - He is fashion man No1. Confident, fabulous, dramatic and he has 500% said that before

Enji - Enji is hard to find a nice some for because he's not a villian by social standers so it can't go down that road. This song has got that middle ground feel and also mentions legacy and says "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" and we can only hope 🧡

Tamaki - This is the 2nd song I came up with and is why I actually made the 1st playlist. People use super sexy songs or super sad songs and him and move on but I feel like this has a wide view of his feelings. He's angry and does want to have to do the things he has to 9/10 he just does.

A lot of ppl just kinda ignore who the characters actually are and see them as the first impression of them we get or just the surface levels. Like how a lot of ppl just see Ayoama as a fancy boy or Shoji as an mystery emo boy when that's not who they are at all. So that's why I feel like I have to give explanations for characters because I don't feel like people see each individual character as who they are in full

I just saw that video of joanna newsom on my dash and. well I'd heard her name before but never heard her music and I was entranced... just put that video on repeat and then went down the rabbithole of random youtube videos of live performances....I am in love. so thank you for making that happen for me. and if u have any recommendations of like her quintessential stuff that i Must hear....i'm all ears 👀

OKAY FIRST OF ALL thank you so much for sending me this you have no idea how happy it made me. i read it out to my whole family who all rolled their eyes as a group it was great. I know EXACTLY how you feel right now bc story time story time i used to really not like jnew. seriously i didnt vibe with her at all. but then one day something just clicked into place and now i cant live without her. good intentions paving company came on shuffle and she sang ‘baayybee’ and i went oh i get it now and also im in love with you. and the ensuing first dive into the rest of her music was so much fun. 

i grew to love her in waves because i basically went album by album. and i started with have one on me which i think a lot of people consider to be her most accessible album because the songs arent crazy long and deal with pretty grounded subject matter and her voice was less comparable to lisa simpson which i know freaks ppl out when they havent Seen the Light.

When it comes to quintessential though, I think a commonly held perspective is that Ys is THE jnew album and for good reason. having a song by song listen through of Ys rly is an experience.

Okay when thinking about individual songs though i picked a couple from each of her albums and i really limited myself bc i wanted to pick everything but heres what really jumps out to me as important on each album.

In the end, whatever is going to happen, will happen anyway. Strategies might change, but the end goals will not. Choices were made a long time ago and careers are riding on these choices (not only Harry’s and Louis’, but all the people around them), so nothing we say will likely change anything.

In interviews, George Shelley and Lance Bass have both said that they didn’t want to let their bands down by coming out. It would jeopardize their success. The pressure to stay closeted was an ongoing conflict with their desire to have a normal private life— as young men, to seek the love and companionship they desired.

Imagine Harry and Louis feeling this pressure, but also having very visible and intense input from the public (on all sides), and persuasive “counseling” from people trying to make them superstars— the lateral people who believe in stardom first, personal life later. HL don’t want to let these people down. They don’t want the whole circus structured around their careers to fall (which might even include family). HL might even put these priorities ahead of their own lives, because they want to have long careers and they want fame/ wealth/ legacy, and maybe they’ve been led to believe this is the way to do it. In addition, in the impossibility of this fish bowl, important people in their lives have been taken from them. This isn’t to say that HL do this by choice, especially Louis. I think at some point, they believed it was the best choice they had, and agreed— not foreseeing the consequences. And now? It’s not pretty, both professionally and personally, I think.

These events are enough to test anyone. I’m sympathetic. Harry’s and Louis’ actions have demonstrated their good character, despite the greed and ruthless cruelty of the people they work with.

This fandom has shrunken because the content is not a steady stream like before. Inevitably, the boys who are more active will have more fans, no matter what. Being a fan of Niall or Harry is definitely a lot more fun! Hahaha. Fandom feels the anxiety from the push and pull since hiatus. Psychological nastiness from within the fandom has persisted. Update accounts aren’t viable if there’s no content.

Eventually the fandom that’s left is the fandom that’s catered to. And when a fandom isn’t needed anymore, money will no longer be spent to cater to it.

same night theres a punk concert and a band from israel is playing too so its different

gonna go to both events. first exhibition then concert then back to exhibition

during the concert just in between songs someone tells me my artwork was sold and right at that moment the first guitar riff hits and im flown off into the crowd getting pushed around and im so happy and my piece is the first one to be sold and i wasnt even expecting it to be sold and especially not the first night of the show

the concert ended and i hugged all my friends and theyre all congratulating me and i get a text from my friend saying The Girl U Like Jus Got Here so i head straight to the exhibition
