summary: your crush on alhaitham has been eating you alive. with no hope that he likes you back you make your friend give him your letter of confession before you completly give up on him.
pairing : alhaitham x gn!reader
wc ~650, ''un''requited feelings, a tiny bit of angst , fluff, sumeru gang mentioned!!
Tumblr media
The house of Daena was engulfed in comforting silence. warm sun rays streamed through the windows, gently falling on the white tiles. the hushed whispers of a group of students could be heard in the corner of the place. 'Kaveh, are you an idiot?!' you whispered loudly.
'No, look! I did what I could do!' he defended himself, throwing his arms in front of him. 'Telling him the letter was from me was not what I asked you to do!' you sighed and covered your face in embarrassment. 'Even If Kaveh hadn’t told him, he would have guessed it was from you.' Tighnari shook his head and continued reading his book.
you huffed, knowing that Alhaitham was smart and could easily put two and two together, realizing that the letter was written by you. Your big crush on Alhaitham was obvious to all of your friends, even before you realized it yourself.
when Kaveh found out, he gave you a look that said 'What the hell is wrong with you?' and just sighed. Cyno and Tighnari had warned you beforehand that Alhaitham was not interested in dating or love.
you already knew that, but you still held onto hope that your feelings could be reciprocated. The letter was your last shred of hope, and you told yourself, 'If he doesn't say anything about the letter, or worse, rejects me, I will just move on.' Looking back, you wished you had just given up and moved on without embarrassing yourself in front of him and your friends.
you still did it because you were captivated by him from the beginning. you could get lost in the way his soft grey hair falls or his features that seem to have been carefully carved by the archons themselves, oh and you love his fervent passion for reading. ever since you started your studies at the Akademiya, you haven't been able to stop thinking about him.
those bittersweet feelings of strong love for the man have begun to overtake you, and you finally pushed yourself to tell him how you feel, even if it was through your handwriting gently sweeping across the old paper you bought from a sweet lady at the Bazaar.
as you were lost in your thoughts, you felt something brushing against your leg. when you looked down, you saw Cyno's leg and he motioned towards something or someone in front of you. you looked up from the table and met Alhaitham’s teal colored eyes. 'Can you come with me? We need to talk,' he said, already walking away and expecting you to follow him.
you made eye contact with Kaveh, who gave you a thumbs up. you followed behind Alhaitham, his steady voice and words reverberating in your head. you could feel drops of sweat appearing on your forehead, your heartbeat beating faster and faster than before. you two were now at the entrance and he stopped and turned to you.
you swallowed nervously, preparing yourself for the rejection you were sure was coming. he sighed loudly and looked straight into your eyes. you let your gaze wander across his face, because you know that may be the last time you do so. 'I appreciate the letter… as well as your sweet words that you wrote for me. I would be lying if I said I didn't know you looked at me that way,' he said.
you slowly nodded in response to his comments. he then took your hand in his. 'I... I like you too,' he said, surprising you. you tried to speak, but no sound came out. you moved your hands away from his and wrapped your arms around his neck.
his hands hung awkwardly at his sides, but he eventually put them on your waist and pulled you closer to him. a small, content smile spread across your face as you pressed your face against his neck.
all of your months hoping and praying that he becomes yours finally feel worth it.

Tighnari's words from the previous night echoed in your mind. The journey to uncover your true identity was just beginning, and with the support of your new friends, they felt ready to face whatever lay ahead. The path forward was uncertain, but it was also filled with hope and the promise of discovery.
You awoke to the delicious aroma of fresh fruit and baked bread wafting through the air. The scent of ripe berries, citrus, and something sweet filled your senses, inviting you to rise from the warmth of your blankets. As you blinked away the remnants of sleep, you noticed the soft morning light streaming through the window, casting gentle shadows on the wooden floor. Slowly, you sat up and stretched, feeling the comforting ache of a good night's sleep. The previous day's journey and the warmth of Tighnari and Collei's hospitality had done wonders for your weary body. You glanced around, taking in the cozy, rustic interior of Tighnari's home, the shelves lined with various plants, books, and trinkets.
As you made your way outside, you found Tighnari and Collei already seated at a small wooden table laden with a simple but inviting breakfast spread. There were freshly baked bread, colorful fruits, and a pot of fragrant tea. The morning sun bathed the village in a golden light, highlighting the intricate architecture and lush greenery.
"Good morning!" Collei greeted with a bright smile as you joined them. "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, very well, thank you," you replied, taking a seat and feeling the warmth of their kindness envelop you once more.
"Help yourself," Tighnari said, gesturing to the food. "We have a lot to discuss today."
You nodded, grateful for the sustenance and the company. As you ate, Tighnari began to explain their plan. "After discussing things last night, we decided it would be best to take you to the Dendro Archon," Tighnari said between bites. "She possesses great wisdom and knowledge, and if anyone can help you uncover your past and identity, it's her."
"The Dendro Archon?" you echoed, feeling a mixture of awe and anticipation.
"Yes," Collei confirmed. "But we need to gather a few supplies for the journey. It will take some time, so you have a chance to explore the village while we prepare."
You nodded, understanding the importance of the plan. "Thank you, both of you. I really appreciate everything you're doing for me."
"It's our pleasure," Tighnari said with a reassuring smile. "Feel free to look around and get to know the place. Gandharva Village is a special community, and I'm sure you'll find it quite interesting."
After finishing breakfast, you stepped outside into the vibrant village. The morning sun bathed Gandharva Village in a golden light, highlighting the intricate architecture and lush greenery. The village, often referred to as "The City Above the Forest," was a marvel of design, with houses built into the trees and connected by winding bridges and pathways. As you wandered through the village, you noticed that many of the villagers were glancing at you curiously. Their expressions were a mix of friendliness and intrigue, as if they were trying to understand who you were and what had brought you to their home.
After a few minutes of strolling through the village, you came across a group of children playing near a large tree. They were laughing and chasing each other, their joy infectious. When they spotted you, they paused and approached with wide eyes and eager smiles.
"Hi! Are you new here?" one of the children asked, their curiosity shining brightly.
"Yes, I am," you replied with a smile. "What are you all up to?"
"We're just playing," another child said, their eyes sparkling. "Do you want to join us?"
Feeling a surge of warmth and happiness, you nodded. "Sure, I'd love to. How about I teach you something I learned from some very special friends of mine?"
The children gathered around, their excitement palpable. You sat down on the grass and began to show them how to make flower crowns, just as the Aranara had taught you. The children watched with fascination, their small hands eager to mimic your movements.
"First, you need to find some pretty flowers and sturdy stems," you explained, demonstrating as you spoke. The children scattered, collecting flowers and stems from the surrounding area, their laughter filling the air.
Once they returned, you guided them through the process, weaving the flowers together to create beautiful crowns. The children were quick learners, and soon they were proudly wearing their creations, their faces beaming with pride and joy.
"This is so fun!" one of the children exclaimed, adjusting their flower crown.
"Thank you for teaching us," another added, their eyes shining with gratitude.
"You're very welcome," you replied, feeling a deep sense of fulfillment. "It's something my friends taught me, and I'm happy to share it with you."
As the children continued to play and create, you felt a sense of peace and belonging. Despite the uncertainties that still lay ahead, moments like these reminded you of the simple joys and connections that made life meaningful. Soon after, Tighnari and Collei called you back to start the travel. Feeling both excited and a bit scared you start the new chapter
The journey through the vibrant and verdant Sumeru rainforest felt surprisingly effortless with Tighnari and Collei by your side. The forest seemed to welcome your presence, the paths almost guiding your steps as the dense foliage parted to make way. Tighnari, with his vast knowledge of flora and fauna, pointed out various plants and creatures, sharing fascinating tidbits about each one. Collei, though initially quiet, soon opened up, her laughter and stories adding warmth to the journey. The camaraderie between the three of you created a comforting rhythm, each step taken with a shared purpose and growing bond.
Before long, the towering silhouette of the Academia came into view, its majestic spires rising above the treetops. The awe-inspiring structure, built upon a colossal tree, seemed to defy gravity with its intricate architecture and grand design. The sight filled you with a mix of anticipation and wonder. With Tighnari and Collei's support, the path to discovering your past felt clearer and more achievable. The closer you got to the Academia, the stronger the feeling of hope and purpose grew, propelling you forward towards the answers you sought.
Tumblr media
The bustling capital of Sumeru came into view, its port teeming with activity. Ships unloaded their cargo as merchants and travelers from all over Teyvat mingled, creating a lively and colorful scene. Market stalls lined the streets, offering everything from exotic spices to intricate jewelry. The aroma of freshly baked bread and ripe fruits filled the air, mingling with the sounds of lively bargaining and cheerful chatter. The buildings were adorned with intricate carvings and lush greenery, their architecture blending seamlessly with the natural beauty of the rainforest.
As you walked through the city with Tighnari and Collei, you couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and excitement. The sheer vibrancy of the capital was overwhelming. "Can we look around first before meeting the Archon?" you asked, your eyes wide with curiosity. Tighnari nodded, understanding your eagerness to explore. "Of course," he said. "There's much to see here. We'll head towards the Grand Bazaar first. It's a place filled with wonder and culture."
As you made your way through the bustling streets, the crowd seemed to part for Tighnari and Collei, their presence as respected Forest Rangers earning them nods and smiles from the townsfolk. The Grand Bazaar was a vibrant hub of commerce and culture nestled under the giant tree that supported the Academia. Colorful banners fluttered in the breeze, and the sounds of laughter and music filled the air.
Before you could reach the entrance to the tunnel leading to the Grand Bazaar, a captivating sight caught your eye. A red-haired girl in a flowing blue dress adorned with beautiful gold and silver accessories was dancing gracefully. Her movements were fluid and enchanting, as if she was telling a story with every step. Her hair, a cascade of crimson waves, flowed around her as she twirled, and her eyes sparkled with joy and passion. The small group of children watching her were completely captivated, their eyes wide with wonder.
Tighnari and Collei smiled, recognizing her immediately. "That's Nilou," Tighnari explained. "She dances for the Zubayr Theater, located in the Grand Bazaar. Her performances are legendary around here."
Nilou's dance was mesmerizing. She moved with an ethereal grace, each motion perfectly synchronized with the music that played softly in the background. Her dress fluttered like petals in the wind, and her bare feet seemed to barely touch the ground. It was as if she was dancing on air, her every move a testament to her skill and dedication. The children watched in awe, clapping and cheering with delight.
When Nilou noticed you watching, she beckoned you to join her. At first, you hesitated, unsure if you could match her grace. "Me?" you asked, pointing to yourself. Nilou nodded with a warm smile, her eyes inviting and encouraging.
Collei gently nudged you forward. "Go on," she said with a smile. "It's a rare opportunity to dance with someone as talented as Nilou. Besides, it looks like fun!"
Taking a deep breath, you stepped forward. Under Nilou's expert guidance, you found it surprisingly easy to follow her lead. She moved with such fluidity and grace that it felt natural to mimic her movements. Her hands guided yours, her smile reassuring you. The crowd began to grow, more and more people stopping to watch the impromptu performance. Their cheers and applause were a testament to Nilou's captivating presence and your newfound courage.
More and more people stopped to watch, and soon a small crowd had gathered, captivated by the performance. The energy was infectious, and for a moment, you forgot about everything else. You were lost in the dance, the rhythm of the music, and the joy of the moment.
The crowd, however, began to cause a bit of congestion, blocking the merchants from entering and leaving the tunnel to the bazaar. This attracted the attention of the city guards, who moved in to disperse the crowd for safety reasons. One of the guards, carrying a spear like the others, approached you with a stern expression. "Please follow me," he said. "The Lesser Lord Kusanali has requested to meet you."
The sudden request made you nervous, and Nilou's expression turned worried. She stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on your shoulder. "Don't be afraid," she said softly. "The Lesser Lord is kind and wise. If she wants to meet you, it must be important."
Tighnari and Collei rushed to your side, having heard the guards words as well. "Don't worry," Tighnari reassured you. "It will be okay. We'll be with you every step of the way."
Collei nodded, her expression serious but kind. "We won't leave your side," she said firmly. "You're not alone in this."
With your friends by your side, you followed the guard up towards the Academia. The path spiraled upwards, each step taking you higher and higher. The grandeur of the Academia loomed closer, its magnificent structure both intimidating and awe-inspiring. The buildings were intricately designed, with ornate carvings and lush greenery adorning their surfaces. The closer you got, the more the air seemed to hum with an almost palpable energy.
Finally, you reached the grand doors of the Academia, standing tall and imposing before you. As the doors slowly opened, you couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and apprehension. The interior was just as grand as the exterior, with high ceilings, elegant archways, and an atmosphere of quiet reverence. With Tighnari and Collei at your side, you stepped forward, ready to face whatever awaited you inside.
The doors to the Academia swung open, revealing an interior that took your breath away. The first room you entered was vast and round, dominated by a magnificent water fountain in the center. The water cascaded gracefully, its gentle splashing echoing softly throughout the chamber. Around the fountain, potted plants added a touch of verdant beauty, their leaves glistening in the light. Above, a grand chandelier hung from the high ceiling, its crystals catching and reflecting the light, casting shimmering patterns on the polished floor below. Additional stand lanterns lined the room, their soft glow adding to the serene ambiance.
The room buzzed with activity as students moved about, their expressions serious and focused. The atmosphere was markedly different from the bustling port and vibrant bazaar outside; here, the weight of knowledge and scholarship was palpable. Some students paused to stare at your group, their curiosity evident, but their attention didn't deter your determined progress.
You followed the guard through the room, your footsteps echoing on the marble floor. The halls of the Academia were lined with more intricate carvings and adorned with lush greenery, a testament to the harmonious blend of nature and intellect that defined Sumeru. As you walked, you couldn't help but be struck by the sheer scale and beauty of the architecture.
Your journey led you to a grand library, a sanctuary of knowledge and learning. The vast number of books lining the shelves was truly impressive, each tome a repository of wisdom waiting to be explored. The library was illuminated by more of the elegant chandeliers, their light casting a warm, inviting glow over the numerous tables where students sat engrossed in their studies. The air was filled with the quiet rustle of pages turning and the soft murmur of scholarly discussions.
The most impressive feature of the library, however, was the stained glass ceiling. Intricate designs in shades of blue and green formed a breathtaking mosaic above, casting beautiful light patterns on the floor below. The interplay of colors created an ethereal atmosphere, making the library feel like a sacred place of learning and reflection.
In the middle of the library was a smaller, round room that piqued your curiosity. At first, you didn't understand its purpose, but as you stepped closer, a sense of familiarity washed over you. Though you had never been here before, you instinctively recognized it as an elevator. The realization was strange, like remembering something from a past life.
You stepped inside the elevator with the guard, Tighnari, and Collei. The doors closed with a gentle whoosh, and you felt the ground begin to lift beneath you. The ascent was smooth and silent, the library slowly disappearing from view through the elevator's glass walls. The higher you went, the more the grandeur of the Academia unfolded before you, each floor revealing more of its architectural marvels and scholarly treasures.
As the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened, you found yourself on a higher floor, ready to continue your journey towards the answers you sought. The anticipation in your heart was a mix of excitement and apprehension, each step bringing you closer to the enigmatic Lesser Lord Kusanali and the truth about your mysterious past.
You step out of the elevator and into a round room bathed in a soft, ethereal blue light. The centerpiece of the room is a giant floating blue sphere, rotating slowly and surrounded by intricate constructions that defy your understanding. The size of the sphere is imposing, and multiple staircases wind up to a second floor that encircles the room, adding to the grandeur.
As you take in the breathtaking sight, you finally notice two figures standing before you. One is a small girl, exuding a gentle, calming presence. The other is a boy with a more intense demeanor, his expression a mix of surprise and something deeper, like he has seen a ghost. The girl quickly regains her composure and smiles warmly at you.
"Welcome," she says with a voice as soothing as a breeze through the trees. "You can call me Nahida. And this is Wanderer"
She nods to the boy beside her, wearing a navy blue kasa hat, a black turtleneck bodysuit, a white kimono, and other intricate garments, continues to look at you with a mixture of disbelief and wariness. His attire includes fingerless metallic gloves, black hakama shorts, a thick black and indigo obi belt, knee-high white gaiters, black geta sandals, and a patterned blue half-cape adorned with gold ornaments and a gold feather. This is the Wanderer, and his piercing gaze seems to search for something beyond your appearance.
Nahida's expression turns more serious as she continues, "I called you here to discuss an incident that occurred during the dance at the bazaar. A child was hurt and couldn't get out as quickly as they should have. I don't blame you, but this situation has piqued my interest more than I initially thought."
Before you can respond, Tighnari steps forward, his demeanor respectful yet firm. "Lesser Lord Kusanali, this person has lost their memory and does not even recall their own name. They were found in the forest, and their presence seems to have a profound effect on the environment. Flowers bloom, and they even met and stayed with the Aranara for a while."
Nahida listens intently, her eyes widening slightly as she processes Tighnari's words. "Is that so?" she murmurs, more to herself than anyone else.
The Wanderer finally speaks, his voice tinged with curiosity and skepticism. "The Aranara? Are you telling me they were living with those mythical creatures?"
You nod, feeling the weight of their combined scrutiny. "Yes, I lived with the Aranara for months. They took care of me when I had nowhere else to go."
Nahida's eyes soften with understanding. "It seems there's much more to you than meets the eye. The Aranara are known to be elusive and magical beings. For them to accept you so readily is extraordinary."
The Wanderer crosses his arms, his gaze still sharp but now more thoughtful. "So, what are you, exactly?"
Tighnari interjects again, his voice calm and measured. "We believe they may be something more than human. The forest's reaction, the absence of any scent, and the unusual events surrounding them all point to a deeper mystery. We hoped you might be able to help us uncover the truth, Lesser Lord Kusanali."
Your eyes widen. You had no idea they thought you were something more then a human. However you said nothing, you didn't want to be rude to someone like Nahida and wanted to know more about their theories.
Nahida nods slowly, her mind clearly racing through possibilities. "I see. This is indeed a complex situation. There is a presence about you that is different. We must tread carefully to understand it fully."
The Wanderer, though still skeptical, seems to accept the gravity of the situation. "If anyone can uncover the truth, it's Nahida. She has the wisdom and the connection to this land that we need."
Nahida smiles again, this time with a hint of determination. "We will get to the bottom of this. But first, let's address the immediate concerns and ensure everyone is safe."
The atmosphere in the room shifts from tension to a shared sense of purpose. You feel a mixture of apprehension and hope, knowing that these knowledgeable and powerful individuals are now invested in uncovering your true identity. With their guidance, the path ahead, though uncertain, seems a little less daunting.
After a lengthy discussion, a conclusion is reached: you will remain in Sumeru, living within the bounds of the capital until more is known about your true nature. During this time, you will have unrestricted access to the grand library, a treasure trove of knowledge that will aid in uncovering your past. You will also meet with Nahida once a week. Through various tests and exposures to different environments and stimuli, they will try to learn as much as possible about you.
However, this arrangement means that you won’t be seeing your friends as often. Collei and Tighnari must return to Gandharva Ville to fulfill their duties as forest rangers and caretakers of the rainforest. They promise to visit the capital when they can, but their presence will be sporadic. The Wanderer continues to watch you with suspicion, his eyes never leaving you, as if expecting something to reveal itself at any moment. Nahida, on the other hand, seems to already be forming theories, her mind working quickly behind her gentle eyes.
As you stand there, surrounded by these remarkable individuals, you feel a mixture of hope and sadness. The path to discovering your identity may be long and challenging, but you are not alone. With the support of Nahida and the resources of the Akademiya, you take your first steps toward uncovering the mystery of who you truly are.

Your head was pounding, it felt like someone took a sword and stabbed it right through your head. Around you were tall trees with glowing blue flowers surrounding the bases of the trees. You don't know how you got here, one moment you were playing genshin in bed, then a voice called out to you.
"(Y/n), your soul is not of this world, you must move to the next," And all of a sudden you were lying on the muddy grass.
You got up and looked around, there was none in sight other than two slim foxes in the distance. Where were you? Exploring the area ahead you saw a small rock formation that looked like a little bear, and next to it was a bundle of lit candles.
Continuing on you follow the stream next to you. On your way you pass by some small statues that you could compare to puppies or bear cubs. The path looked oddly familiar to you, it felt like you had walked down it before. You walk for about ten minutes passing by Japanese style gates before you spot an... electro seelie?!
These only exist in genshin?! This cant be real! Wait. This can't be real, because it is a dream! That's why that path seemed so familiar! You smiled to yourself, proud that you “figured” it out.
But if you are dreaming of the world of genshin that means you can explore the real Inazuma yourself! You've explored the Inazuma area hundreds of times so trying to find Inazuma City shouldn't be hard too. Plus the Raiden Shogun's home is so big that you could see it from miles away.
You walk down the path careful not to alert the hullichurl camps of your presence and make it to the village homes right outside of Inazuma city. When walking in you are greeted by a large tree with pink leaves falling down onto the ground.
As you pass by the villagers give you weird looks. They look you up and down then turn away from you. What's up with them? You wonder as you dust off your baggy black shirt that says 'return of the vampurrr' with a woman screaming at a giant cat and then shoving your hands in your teenage mutant in turtle pajama pants pockets. Wait, you have your sleeping clothes on. Maybe that's why they're giving you weird looks. The only thing that would maybe be okay for you to wear is the Vivienne Westwood Necklace you got off of amazon for 15 dollars. The orb in the middle of the necklace which was originally silver turned into a clear ball almost as if it was made of glass. Well, this is a dream so these people can deal with your choice of clothing.
You continue down the path and head up stone stairs where you see Yoimiya's firework shop and Hajime's blacksmith. He looks hard at work and for the first time you see him move away from the anvil and head to the fire.
I guess my dreams took a little creative liberty you thought as you walked past them. Everything in the city felt more lively than in the games. You saw more kids running up and down the streets, adults talking in groups, and even a pack of doushin traveling out of the city with Kujuo Sara leading them. You had a more creative imagination than you thought.
You walked by so many iconic places in the games that amazed you. Like the sango detective agency and Yae Publishing House. You even passed by Shouta, the little boy who's always offering stuff to the archons.
It couldn't hurt to talk to him and besides he had his hands clasped together and aggressively saying “pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!” over and over again. "Whatcha doing?" You ask about appearing behind him.
"I've heard that I can make a wish to the archon once I have placed the offering in the shrine. If the archon likes my offering, my wish will definitely be granted." he excitedly points to the shrine which has Konpeito candies placed at its base. He sounds exactly like he does in the game. You wonder how realistic your dream is. "I have brought all of my snacks here today, and I'd like to wish that the archon will cancel the exam tomorrow!"
"Have you gotten your wish yet?" You question. You know what he's gonna say but you're just curious to hear his voice lines.
"Hmm... It works about once in a dozen times... Last time, I wished bad luck upon someone who bullied me, and then he flunked his exam, haha!" He kept talking and brought up Yoimiya offering him fireworks and Itto as he describes 'big guy with the horns'.
Once he finishes talking he goes off script and asks "Why are you dressed like that?"
This question catches you off guard which causes you to stutter. "I, um well... I... bye." And with that, you turn on your heel and walk in the other direction leaving him with a confused look on his face. You didn't know how to answer that so you just left. Besides this wouldn't affect you as this was all a dream, you told yourself.
You continue walking past the Inazuma Katheryne staring lifelessly at nothing. You continued through Inazuma, still getting weird looks from the locals, but you finally made it to the place you wanted to see all this time. The Raiden Statue.
She was so much taller than she was in the game. Her hands were about as big as the two of you. The wings had glowing visions on them, you could only assume that the vision hunt decree was still in effect.
Looking at all the visions had you thinking about elemental power. If I'm here and not technically from this world does that mean that I can gain elemental powers by touching the statute of seven? Am I the traveler frfr?!?! As soon as the thought crossed your mind you raced to get to Ritou. You almost nearly catch the attention of some hilluchurls but are quick to get away from them. Arriving at Ritou you waste no time in looking at the shops around you and head straight to the Statue of Seven. It looks worn down and beat up. You go up to it and reach your hand out as the traveler did in the games and touch it. As you do, a crackle of electro power pops out of the statue and falls into your body. Looking down you see the originally clear orb of your Vivienne Westwood pendant now glowing electro-light.
"Woah," You reach your hand out and imagine a burst of electro coming out of your fingers and then... Nothing? Your hand remains the same and no elemental powers come out of you.
"Hmm... Maybe I'm supposed to say something... Uhh, aberacdabera!"
BOOM!
A large sudden burst of electro energy burst through your hands and hits a nearby tree, splitting it in half
"S-shit!" I hope none heard that...
"It came from over the wall, let's go around,"
Nope they definitely heard that, I have to go.
You set off running on the opposite side of the path you came up from. You snuck your way back into the Ritou market. And you spent the rest of your dream walking around Ritou until you started to feel tired.Hmm, that's weird, can you get tired in dreams? Maybe this is the dream's way of telling me it's over... But I don't wanna go... I still haven't seen Liyue or Fontaine yet... You try to steady yourself on a nearby tree when you fall over in exhaustion. Even if it was only for a day you still enjoyed your time here. Maybe you'd have another dream like this again…

if tighnari hears that the akademiya is looking for somebody with an uncanny resemblance to his god, he’s immediately asking the rangers bring them immediately to him and not to alert any other authority.
who knows what the akademiya is up to? knowing them and all the messes they’re involved with, it’s clear there has to be something going on behind the scenes. he’s not about to let an innocent get caught in the crossfire. he already has a plan for if a ranger brings you in: where you’ll stay, how he’ll act if a sage comes by, what he’ll do if the akademiya tries to search the village.
but if he finds you?
he’s checking the lampposts on the road to gandharva ville when he hears you off the side of the main road. he hears you, in what sounds like distress, rushing to draw his weapon- but no, now that he’s closer.. that’s definitely laughter.
tighnari lessens the tension on his bowstring, but still keeps the arrow nocked as he approaches. ferns part to allow him through, and he startles at the sight of you. sun streams down through the leaves, illuminating a group of fungi around you. his fingers falter on the string in shock, “hello?”
you turn, fear immediately coloring your face. you try to stand- only to stumble, tripping over your own feet, and he ditches his weapon to step forward around the fungi and catch you with a gloved hand on your shoulder.
“what’s wrong? did you pack enough water? did you eat an amanita mushroom?” his head is already running the familiar track of common cures for poisonous mushrooms, planning the shortest and safest route through the forest back to gandharva ville. “here, come with me, i’ll-“
you jerk away and he nearly falls trying to keep you upright, finally noticing the fear in your eyes. dirt streaks your skin and the mask you wear is ragged and torn, alongside the rest of your clothes. you’re a mess, ragged around the edges, and he feels like the forest air dropped a few degrees.
“d- i don’t- please, i don’t mean any harm i swear!”
two options flash through his mind.
one: you’re lying. you’re a threat running from the law, hoping to persuade him into giving you his resources. evidence is a bit scant, but it’s a possibility he has to consider.
or two: you’ve been wrongfully accused of something, a victim of the—admittedly quite biased—justice system in sumeru city. evidence consists entirely of your behavior: he’s not sure anybody could emulate the panic in your eyes quite that well.
either way, you’re hurt.
either way, he needs to do something.
“hey, you’re okay. i’m not gonna hurt you, and i’m not accusing you of anything.” his eyes flick over your form, checking for anything that could keep you from walking; you’re leaning heavily on your left foot, it seems, the right almost hovering above the ground with how little weight is on it. “but you’re hurt, and you’re not going to get far from whatever you’re running from-“ you flinch “-with a hurt leg, alright?”
you don’t want to agree, that much is obvious. your eyes shift away from him, you lean away subtly even as he’s fairly certain he’s the only thing keeping you standing. the fungi crowd you, almost forming a shield between you and him, and he wonders how long you’ve been out here that you manage to befriend actual fungi.
“all… alright. …thank you.”
the careful and hesitant speech reminded him of collei, somewhat, when she’d first arrived. the conparison makes his heart hurt.
he slings your right arm over his shoulder and keeps it there with one of his, the other moving around your waist to hold you against him. warmth floods into his skin where you make contact… are you perhaps running a fever? it had been raining more frequently recently, and considering the state of your clothes..
as you walk, he does his best to keep an eye out for any tall roots or protruding rocks on your path, but it’s like they don’t exist. whenever he sees one that looks worrisome and considers steering you away, it seems to shrink as he gets closer. any bugs or insects fluttering around also seemed to vanish as soon as you get close, mosquitos surprisingly nowhere to be found.
he wonders if it’s a result of his vision, but quickly dismissed it. he always sees bugs around, even with his best repellents.. do you have a vision, he wonders? he didn’t see one on your person, but given the value of such an object, it makes sense you would keep it hidden when on the run.
he wonders what you’re running from.
he hopes you’ll tell him.
when you arrive at gandharva ville he feels you tense, your arm tightening slightly around his neck, and he makes a note of it. thankfully, collei wasn’t on her bed—her eleazar had been growing awful these past few weeks, putting her under his care more frequently than he would have preferred—so the medicinal room was empty.
he guides you to sit on the bed, mentally tallying up everything he has to do as he collects medicinal supplies from around the room.
he doubts you’ve had a good meal for a while, and the rivers in sumeru arent as clean as they look all the time. mushroom spores or some from a fungi can quickly contaminate a water source, so food and water are an immediate need.
also, find out what you had eaten prior, if anything. mushrooms were serious business, and if your symptoms were caused by one of those instead of malnutrition, that would need to be addressed swiftly.
he pulls over a chair with his free hand and dumps the supplies on the nightstand, reaching for your injured foot and pulling it into his lap. “so, what are you running from?”
you tense, then start to scramble for a response. your eyes search your lap like it holds the answer, lining up what he assumes is, at best, a half-truth in your mind. he can easily assume you don’t want to talk about it, and carefully sets about treating your ankle while he waits.
“the sages,” you finally say. “they… think i did something i didn’t.”
he can see the need to clarify, to rush and reassure him that you didn’t, and he feels it as an ache in his chest. he’s watching the way you curl in on yourself at the question, gripping the sheets tightly and looking away. clearly, this is a sore subject, and he understands as he digests your response.
the sages?
the akademiya did this to you?
his ears flick in irritation, though he’s careful not to squeeze your ankle too tight. it’s definitely sprained, and he doesn’t want to make it worse. every little detail on you stands out more, from the dirty bandages around your arm to the ripped clothes, torn in such a way that was too precise for any thorn.
he hasn’t said anything. he thinks your shoulders have risen even higher.
“i’m not going to turn you in, if that’s what youre worried about.” your grip on the blankets loosens. “for monitoring the akasha all the time, they can be quite.. dense.”
a flicker of a smile crosses your face, but it fades fast. he watches emotion after emotion cross, slowly twisting your features further into sadness. he waits for a few moments for you to say whatever is on your mind, giving you time to collect your thoughts, but nothing comes.
he finally decides to break the silence, folding his hands over the finished bandage. “what is it?”
your eyes meet his. “you.. you’re helping me.”
your voice is rough around the edges, dry and hoarse, and he makes a mental note to give you some medicine for what has to be a sore throat. despite being in a rainforest, there aren’t that many clean sources of water.
“i am.”
“you’ll get in trouble with the sages.”
he barks a laugh, surprised. “oh, don’t worry about that. i’m far too important to the akademiya for them to discipline me with any level of permanence, and nobody here is going to rat you out either. besides, who’s to say they’ll even look here for you?”
there’s an implication to his words that you don’t quite catch, and he sets your leg back on the floor.
“don’t worry about it, alright? at least for now.”
when he asks you to take off your scrap of a shirt, you barely hesitate.
after treating the numerous wounds across your person—he does his best to keep a neutral expression, but you can see the disdain on his face as clear as day—he gives you clothes from another forest ranger. they’re a little small, something he apologizes for, but you don’t mind. you’re in a bed, with clean clothes, even if you yourself aren’t. a week- a month ago, even, this would just be a fever dream. he lets you rest, bringing cold water—a blessing with the humidity of the forest—and a soup. though you don’t particularly like it, the inescapable bitterness of medicine ruining whatever he put in, it’s warm and so much better than zaytun peaches that you drink all of it.
when he stands, you half-expect him to start questioning you on the specifics, but all he does is take the empty bowl and spoon from you to set it elsewhere before sitting right back down at your bedside.
“thanks.”
“not a problem at-.. all…” he frowns, and you wonder for a moment if you did something wrong. “i don’t think i’ve ever properly introduced myself.”
it’s such a non-issue a laugh bubbles out of you, sounding more like a cough. “n-no need, i already know you.”
“oh?” too late, you catch your words. whoops. “well, then consider it a formality.” his hand extends, and he smiles when your shake it. “i’m tighnari, forest watcher of the avidya forest. what’s your name?”
you hesitate before answering. he has a feeling it’s a fake name, but repeats it anyway.
“it’s my pleasure to make your acquaintance. i hope that i can be of help to you during your stay here, and i promise that i will do everything i can to ensure your safety.”
you smile.

day 2 of my short stories: arlefuri
furina stumbled through opera epiclese, her legs threatening to give out with every step down the winding staircases. truthfully, she just wanted to open the doors, flood the epiclese, and drown herself along with her people. her entire body somehow felt nauseous, sickly, before she reached the entry hall and saw sunlight streaming through the ornate windows far up the wall.
her entire body began to shake even more, adrenaline coursing through her veins as she willed her feet to move, one in front of the other, until she finally pushed the front doors open, taking in the scene before her.
the streets were, well, wrecked, to put it bluntly. fallen trees and lighposts littered the street. everything was soaking wet, including the people that came tumbling out of lifeboats like sopping wet handbag dogs. various shouts and screams filled the air as people realized that they were, indeed, alive, and that, as one rather jovial man put it, "the prophecy was wrong."
furina frantically scanned the crowd as she descended the front steps, catching glimpses of lyney, lynette, and freminet helping the survivors. she looked up to the sky as the clouds parted and squinted at the brigbt sun, putting a hand above her eyes to shield her vision as she reached the bottom of the steps, looking out into the crowd for a second time.
and there she was, the fourth fatui harbinger, dressed to the nines per usual, not a single wrinkle in her clothes. her crimson eyes softened as she saw the former archon begin to run towards her, nearly tripping over broken tree branches several times before collapsing into her arms as her legs finally gave out underneath her. she began to sob into arlecchinos chest, tightly gripping her suit jacket, nearly to the point of ripping.
the harbinger followed her slow descent to the ground, holding her in a protective embrace, tighter than she ever had before, and bringing a hand up to catch the tophat that fell off her head, setting it on the ground beside them before returning full attention to the distraught woman in her arms.
"its over now, furina," arlecchino murmured gently, running a hand up and down furinas back. furina continued to sob and shake in her arms, and she decided not to push her, willing to stay on the wet pavement all night if that was truly what she needed.
arlecchino heard a group of reporters begin to mumble amongst themselves nearby, getting agitated as they approached her and the former archon, pencils and paper at the ready.
"miss furina! miss furina! do you have any comment on this grand event for the people of fontaine to hear?" one man asked. furina tried to bury herself in arlecchinos chest in response, and the harbinger took it upon herself to scoop her up off the ground into a bridal carry and glare daggars at the reporters, her x-shaped irises glowing red as she began to back away from them.
"i bid you all a good day. do not seek miss furina out until she is ready to report on these events. if i or any of my attendants catch you attemping to bother her, your careers will be swiftly executed."
and without another word, arlecchino carried furina to one of the boats that ferried people across the water to the city, letting her compose herself before saying a word.
"thank you," furina mumbled as they sailed across the water.
"it was nothing. i merely did not want them to pester you. some reporters can be...insufferable," arlecchino said, watching furinas body language carefully. at the sight of one slight shiver, she took off her coat and gingerly wrapped it around furinas shoulders, nearly cracking a smile at how big it was on her.
"still," furina said, leaning against the harbinger and wralling the coat tighter around her body, "it was thoughtful of you...thank you for even coming to see me after all of this. you could have been helping the people of fontaine with lyney and the others, but you chose to help me. why?"
arlecchino stayed quiet for a moment as the boat drew closer to the shore. "because i love you."
furina looked up at her, lips parted. it was the first time she had ever heard those words coming out of arlecchinos mouth. she leaned up slowly and kissed her so softly under that fontanian sky.
the boat reached the shore, and arlecchino helped furina out, letting her lean against her for support as she guided her through the half-wrecked streets of the city, leading to the hotel bouffes d'ete, which surprisingly had not sustained too much damage. the children of the house of the hearth had hidden themselves away in the basement as soon at they heard news of the flood, and were all unharmed. they came out of hiding at the sound of their fathers voice, going to investigate furinas sudden appearance.
"i appreciate all of your concern, but this is a matter between only furina and i," she told them as she took furina to her bedroom, letting her lay down while arlecchino fetched a pot of tea and a plate of snacks for her.
"you are welcome to stay here as long as you like," arlecchino said, setting everything down on a side table, then moving to sit behind furina, holding her against her chest, arms wrapped around her waist as she rested her chin on her shoulder.
"...could you say what you told me earlier? while we were on the boat?"
"that i just wanted to spare you from the reporters?"
"the reason why you went to help me instead of anyone else..."
arlecchino chuckled, tilting furinas head to the side. "i love you," she murmured against her lips before kissing her.
"i think i could get used to you saying that."

omnes una manet nox. | i. vivamus, moriendum est.
cw. always refer to the masterlist. wc. 1.5k words.
detective's notes. here we are, the start of an era - take this as my 300 followers celebration. this chapter sets more of a scene and introduces the vast amount of personalities on our guest list.
chinju forest carries an aura unlike no other, bewildering to even the natives when it's compared to other sights in inazuma; from tsurumi island's mysterious fog to watatsumi island's mystical shrine, there is nothing that compares to the simplicity of chinju forest. flora that glow a turquoise blue in the dark of the forest with trees that tower and block out daylight and streams of fresh water that trickle between cracks in the rocks, chinju forest is indescribable with mere words. located at the heart of the forest stands the centuries old home of the kamisato clan, renown in inazuma for their glory and power. they're hidden away, distant from society and the prying eyes of strangers - just as they like it. so much so, that it felt odd for the kamisato siblings to host a social gathering at their beloved home. as heads of the yashiro commission, social events were not out of their line of work but yet it felt unfamiliar to see a courier scurry away from the estate with invitations filling their satchel. the younger sister reasoned that it was a gathering to celebrate the lift of the raiden shogun's tyranny, the sakoku decree opening up business to the rest of teyvat whilst the vision hunt decree's absence meant that many inazumans would no longer live in fear once more. in order to gain her older brother's approval, she offered that the gathering could be utilised for her brother's business matters, inviting some of the richest business people to wander teyvat.
the first guests to arrive at the hour of the gathering belong to the land of the archon of wisdom and verdure. they cling to each other in familiarity, a young green haired girl by the name of collei stuck at the sides of a taller, fox eared male and another male with shaggy silver hair. nilou keeps close to the akademiya's scribe and his expressive roommate, eyes of verdigris shades that stare around the wonders of chinju forest in a mild amazement buried by fear.
"what a place to live," tighnari comments amongst the group's silence, filled only by the sounds of their shoes on a stone slab path, "the flora here is astonishing, i wonder if they've had the sense to study it…"
tighnari's voice trails off as he crouches to stroke the leaves of the nearest plant with gloved fingers, the glow of the plant reflecting in his eyes as collei is quick to grab his upper arm, raising him back to his feet.
"master tighnari, we don't know if it's poisonous or not, stop touching the unknown plants!" she exclaims softly, drawing a laugh from the silver haired male as he tugs at tighnari's other arm, much to the fox's dismay when he grumbles under his breath about travelling back to inazuma at a later date. cyno nods in agreement, reassuring tighnari that they'll travel back so that tighnari may study these plants freely.
"collei!" a familiar female calls out into the silence of chinju forest, a brunette girl adorning red stands with three males and another young blonde girl. two of the males are taller, adorning red and blue hair respectively and carrying a tense energy between the two of them as they stand. beside the blue haired male is a shorter male in mint green attire, two small ombre braids framing his face. the blonde girl keeps her hair in pigtails, her eyes moving around the forest anxiously at every little sound, her fear shows clearly.
"amber!" the green haired girl returns in an equally excited voice, leaving the comforting presence of her friends to jog to the brunette, "i didn't know you was attending too?"
"yeah, i got an invitation while i was on a commission with captain kaeya - he invited himself and mondstadt's very own bard, venti!" amber beams, her grin widening ear-to-ear when diluc groans, shaking his head.
"when we get back to mondstadt, i'm teaching you how to say no to morons, amber." he comments lowly and kaeya clicks his tongue, a smug look on his tan face.
"don't be so harsh, master diluc, we're just here to bring more fun!" venti pokes into the conversation in a melodic tune, leaning closer to the redhead.
not far behind the mondstadt and sumeru friends is the elaborate and expensive atmosphere carried by the most notorious from liyue, freshly landed at the shores of inazuma's humid islands. the famous lady ningguang, the tianquan of the liyue qixing accompanied by quiet and gentle ganyu, acting upon being her secretary and the infamous captain beidou of the alcor not far on their tail. gossiping between themselves is the sweet, esteemed opera singer yun jin and the explosive pyro guitarist xinyan followed closely by the young lawyer yanfei, the leader of the arataki gang and the backbone - and sanity - of the arataki gang; arataki itto and kuki shinobu. lurking behind the crowd of famous liyue faces is the ministry of civil affairs very own yelan, stepping off the alcor last.
"is this your first time in inazuma, ningguang?" beidou chirps curiously, noticing the blonde woman's silence whilst the others gasp in awe of inazuma's brilliance. the moon reflects on the waves' ripples, calming yet eerie at what the night may hold in an estate full of strangers. ningguang sends a sly smile in the captain's direction, amused.
"i visited once on a business expedition before the sakoku decree was installed," the tianquan reveals even to the surprise of delicate ganyu, who's wide eyes find the taller lady instantly, "it's whimsical that not a thing has changed on the islands, isn't it? they've not expanded on their architecture or moved forward as society. the electro archon was succeeding at her beloved eternity, freezing her land in time."
yanfei gawks at the illustrious blue mushroom specimens sprouting in the tidal flats as the group walk, earning a confused look from itto.
"does liyue not have sea ganoderma?" he asks shinobu quietly, tilting his head like a lost puppy, "i've never seen someone like them. they're gross - have you ever touched one? man, they're crazy. slimy."
shinobu rolls her eyes, groaning more so to herself as she glances at the bigger male who towers over her. his appearance is terrifying, sparking fear into those who are unbeknownst to his oddly complicit personality, albeit perhaps she could even describe it as dense.
"sea ganoderma are native to inazuma, boss," she enunciates with a shake of her head, "why would i touch sea ganoderma - scratch that, why have you touched sea ganoderma?"
the bulky oni sends the small girl a sheepish smile, gritting his teeth as if he doesn't want to venture further into the story involved in that scenario. shinobu sighs exasperatedly, wondering what he'd do without her now.
already in loyal attendance at the historical inazuman estate is the firework maker's daughter, yoimiya - in all of her explosive glory as she carries crates full of fireworks designed specifically for the kamisato clan, even if she exclusively sneaked some of the naganohara family's special fireworks into the bunch too - and the fontainian news reporter, charlotte, who had arrived in inazuma days prior in an attempt to track the kamisato siblings and interview them before the event. she wanted the gossip, she craved it. she wanted to know how they felt about the decrees being lifted, the sudden shift in their beloved shogunate's political views and the changes in how she runs the country - not to forget their opinions on their own event, was they excited? did they have nerves? charlotte wanted it all, notepad at the ready.
"need a hand there, yoimiya?" thoma asks with a grin as he appears at the blonde's side, having just left the awfully awkward conversation charlotte was subjecting ayato and ayaka to. the blonde looks up at the taller male, returning an equally enthusiastic smile.
"you wouldn't mind, would you?" she laughs albeit a little nervously, realising the consequences of her decision not to enlist help from her father at this event. thoma shakes his head, lifting a crate of fireworks with ease, "just place it down over there, thank you thoma!"
the ginger chuckles, following the bright blonde's orders obediently as the courtyard fills with the rambunctious sounds of their guests from other nations, their faces joyous and filled with amazement as numerous of them comment on the architecture of the kamisato estate - kaveh, collei, yanfei and ningguang are few to name. the noise gains the attention of the infamous pale haired siblings, who venture over with warm, welcoming smiles and their hands clasped behind their backs.
"welcome to inazuma," the taller brother greets them first, his voice a low timbre that rumbles in his chest as he lifts his chin, shoulders pushed back with dignity, "even more so, to the kamisato estate. we hope that your journeys here have all been pleasant."
ayaka nods gently in agreement to her brother's words, eyes of glimmering blue waters hidden in a sheen of mist gaze over her invited guests, lingering on the likes of yelan and shinobu; strong souls with firm skin and an honourable reputation. a gentle silence fills the air following ayato's greeting and ayaka finds it in herself to utter her welcome from glossy lips, her eyes creasing into crescent moons when she tilts her head to the side with a smile.
"welcome to the kamisato estate, my esteemed guests."

Note
I read your response to Annie, and I was wondering if there were any specific things the tumblr sphere is doing that you don’t approve of? I value your insight, and if you think there’s something we’re doing that’s strategically/morally wrong I would like to know. I might not agree to all of it, and I can’t speak for the other anons either. But I hope that we have developed enough of a community to hear criticism without attacking anyone over it.
I was originally planning to leave this ask unanswered, but after seeing this anonymous ask that Heloise received the other day, I have changed my mind. To be clear, I not only denounce the use of the term "TransGirlTheRapist", but I vehemently reject people who use this. Please stop doing so.
Thank you, Heloise, for also denouncing the use of this term.
Please note that all of this will be my personal opinion, and I will be making general recommendations for rhetoric. These are not necessarily specific to things going on that I have been involved in. It can be helpful here, but it will be helpful to mention things I've noticed not only on Tumblr but in the greater social media sphere.
Also anon: I'm not saying you specifically do any of these things (I don't know who you are), so please do not consider this to be a callout of behaviors for you.
It is not a complete list, by any means, but these are things that I feel are important:
Be specific with your language. If you mean something, say what you mean. I know it can come off as tempting to use slightly different words to describe something, but be careful; this can too easily result in a game of telephone where the original meaning is lost over time (or a Ship of Theseus resulting from transference of information over a group of people. I know, not exactly what Innuendo Studios meant with the video, but it works here).
Avoid using incendiary language or rhetoric. These typically just fall into the realm of ad hominem attacks and are rarely useful. What I highlighted above and prompted me to decide to answer this ask? That is an example of this. I do not like this. It does not help and will often result in you coming off as harassing the person you are talking about.
Have receipts on hand. Please don't make claims if you cannot back them up with evidence. I have seen too many people show up to Heloise's blog to make unsubstantiated claims, especially recently. This is not helpful or productive. If it was from a stream VoD: provide some context for when it occurred or a timestamp to make it easier to find again. If it was in an edited stream segment: clip it and send a link to the clip. If it was on Twitter, Tumblr, or BlueSky: provide a link or a screenshot. Otherwise, these are useless rumors and basically gossip.
Do you want to know what Poppy, Zena, and the Archons used to refer to the Tumblr blogs? Leftist KF. It was because of the level of gossip that occurred in this sphere. Try to prove y'all are better than that.

[1/3] Balladeer's Deception
pairing: scaramouche x lumine words: 2, 741 genre: fluff, tsundere!scaramouche, fight scene note: cross posted on ao3
series : part i. part ii. part iii.
Scaramouche realizes that flicking his wrist and sending Paimon flying several miles away in the heat of a battle just to get Lumine to himself might not turn out the way he wanted.
Tumblr media
“Hey, watch it!” Scaramouche screams, barely dodging a mitachurl’s axe that came flying his way just as he was dealing his last blow against a group of hilichurls.
“Oops! Sorry!” Lumine hurriedly apologizes, a sheepish grin on her lips before she turns back to the axe-less mitachurl.
“Eeep! That axe almost got Paimon’s head!” Shrieks the floating silver haired lackey.
“You’re a whooping 20-feet away. You’re more than safe–Actually, what do you even do for the Traveler?” Scaramouche frowns.
“Hey! Paimon helped Lumine a lot throughout our journey! Paimon introduced Lumine to so many yummy recipes for us to cook when we had to sleep in the wild–”
“Yeah, yeah.” Scaramouche rolls his eyes as he picks his suddenly itchy ear.
He sits crossed-legged mid air, tuning out Paimon’s rambling and focuses on his blonde companion’s lithe figure side stepping the mitachurl’s bare-handed attack. Lumine has fought an ancient dragon, an underground lizard, faced off Abyss Heralds and even gone against an archon–Scaramouche’s own mother–yet there is no mistaking the excited grin on her face as she finishes off the mitachurl.
Lumine loves fights; she loves the breeze that caresses her skin as she lurches to deal a fatal blow on her enemies; she loves the weight of the sword as she swings it with reckless abandon; she lives for the thrill of not knowing whether she would end up beaten and bruised or victorious in a battle.
Her feet touch the ground, soft wind currents cushioning her landing whilst a loud thump echoes in the air as a mitachurl thrice her size crashes against the cold hard dirt. The groan that follows after almost sounds like a begrudging acknowledgement of Lumine’s victory and a promise that next time, the outcome won’t be the same.
“It was a good fight for me too, friend.” Lumine agrees, her hand on her chest as she gives a final bow to the fallen mitachurl.
Scaramouche left eyebrow rises, “you understand those things? But then again, you understand this floating thing too.”
“H-hey! Paimon is Paimon! Paimon is different from those mean hilichurls!”
“The churls are living breathing beings as any other.” Lumine begins and Scaramouche rolls his eyes.
‘Here we go again.’ He complains mentally.
“And as living beings, we’ll always find a way to communicate…” She rambles on about how any opponent, human or otherwise, deserves to be honored in any fight as they walk (or she walks, whilst Scaramouche and Paimon floats along).
They end up getting ambushed by a group of fungi as they wander the seemingly never ending forest path–if this trail even leads anywhere. Scaramouche may or may not have flicked his finger and caused a wind current that flew a frantic Paimon a few miles away.
But Lumine being Lumine gets worried that they haven’t found Paimon after 10 minutes of search and rescue post-fungi battle.
“She didn’t wander off and get lost, did she?” Lumine muses on her own, standing in front of a small stream with her arms crossed and her thinking face on.
Scaramouche isn’t too worried. The winds whisper to him of Lumine’s little companion’s safety–well, Scaramouche’s standards for Paimon’s safety aren't all too high. It’s enough that she’s not getting chased by a sumpter beast or eaten by a Rishboland tiger.
Never mind that he can faintly hear Paimon’s cries as she calls for Lumine.
“Or… have the fungi evolved enough to know how to kidnap hostages? At times like this, I really wish I have Tighnari’s knowledge of the forest, maybe it’s best to ask him for help to track down Paimon…” Lumine continues with her musing, not realizing the deepening frown in Scaramouche’s face.
‘Tighnari? That half-bred dog that was hanging around Lumine last time?’
“Fine,” Scaramouche sighs under his breath, coming up behind Lumine without her even noticing her presence.
‘She’s an excellent fighter but she lets her guard down too easily in the presence of an ally.’ He muses to himself but doesn’t think to bring it up because in some ways, his heart melts at the thought of her trusting him this much.
“Hold on tight.” Scaramouche wraps an arm around Lumine’s body and the two lurch towards the sky.
The motion is so sudden that Lumine ends up unconsciously clinging to Scaramouche, her arms tightly hugging his neck, her chest flushed against his and her natural scent overwhelming his senses.
She smells like the wind in a flowerfield.
“Whoa…” She breathes out at the magnificent sight of the expanding greenery beneath them; trees that grow up to 200 ft and vines that climb up old damp barks in symbiome
“So this is the power of a god.” She murmurs seemingly to herself before turning to said god who’s holding her with a sparkle in her eyes, “we can find Paimon easier this way.”
Scaramouche resists the urge to grimace as though the name of the flying anomaly physically hurts his ears. But if it makes Lumine that happy to be reunited with that floating creature…
“The winds are saying she’s somewhere north,” He says simply and lets the current lead them towards the deeper parts of the forest where it’s known to host streaks of Rishboland tigers.
“Isn’t that where the Rishboland tigers live? Do you think Paimon’s alright?” Lumine’s eyebrows join together.
In the distant rainforest, a fairy-like creature shrieks as she levitates just inches higher from her original position, enough to escape a Rishboland tiger’s claws but barely. She whimpers, “L-Lumine, where are you when Paimon needs you most?! Save Pai-AH!” She survives the wild creature’s claws for the second time with her wits and her will.
The traveler, unaware of the struggles that befell her companion, continues to worry, “if they get to her first, it’s going to be hard to find another emergency food…”
The screws in Scaramouche’s brains came to a stop as though needing oiling. When the blond traveler’s words finally sink in, Scaramouche bursts out into laughter. He knew the duo had a running inside joke about food but he’d never, in a million years, thought that the soft, too-selfless-for-her-own-good traveler would refer to the floating creature as rations especially given how she’s been the peacemaker between him and said emergency food all this time.
“Just when I thought I knew you…” Scaramouche mutters to himself, knowing full well that the gust of wind blowing past them would mute out his words.
They reach an area where an ambush of Rishboland tigers crowd around, their tails languidly moving from side to side, some watch with curiosity while some leap into the air, their paws extended towards a floating object from afar.
“A-ah, g-good kitty…” The floating object stammers as a tiger larger than the rest–supposedly the alpha–approaches it in a calm yet intimidating fashion.
“C-c-c-ome on, P-Paimon isn’t even that delicious.” The object barely manages to form a coherent sentence.
“Paimon!”
Almost as Celestia finally looked upon her with mercy, Paimon hears a familiar stern yet warm voice calling her name. A second after that, something white falls from the sky in front of her, forming a barrier between her and the alpha.
The familiar blond before her almost makes her want to cry.
“L-Lumine…” She sobs.
“Stay back, Paimon.” Lumine instructs, a wind vortex slowly forming under her palm.
In a matter of seconds, she directs the vortex towards the approaching tiger and the rest of its kind flying into tree branches and dispersing away with a menacing hiss.
“Whew.” Lumine sighs, wiping off the sweat from her forehead as she sheathes her sword.
Paimon comes running into the blond’s arms, sobbing like a child who had a nightmare. Lumine’s face falls at the thought of Paimon having to fend off the tigers all by herself.
Scaramouche does not not feel emotions. If he truly felt nothing as a puppet, then he would not have agreed to join the Fatuis nor hold resentments for his mother. But to say he swore off picking on the silver anomaly would be a lie. He holds no remorse for what happened to the floating intelligence. She didn’t even have a scratch on her body–all that was just an act to get Lumine to hold her in those sturdy yet gentle arms, he’s sure of it.
It takes a while for Paimon’s cries to fall into sobs and then finally, soft sniffles as she falls asleep next to Lumine in front of the fire. All the while, Scaramouche discreetly grumbles to himself about how sly the floating creature is–she managed to monopolize Lumine all to herself.
The last thing he remembers is seeing the sight of Lumine’s wavy bangs swaying against her face and the orange hue of the fire warming her pale skin. Her golden eyes appear more amber as she soothes Paimon with kind words, her hand patting the silver haired creature’s back gently.
But the crackle of the fire slowly turns into a mechanical sound of rusted screws dragging against a rough surface while thunder echoes from somewhere in the distance. The fire he was staring at is long gone and in front of him, is nothing but endless darkness.
Scaramouche sighs. He’s been here one too many times.
“Why… did you abandon us?” A scratchy voice asks from every direction.
Scaramouche doesn’t bother answering, he doesn’t even react.
All of a sudden, light pierces through a hollow from the ceiling, revealing the crouched body in a white yukata standing 20 feet from him.
“You… you promised you’d make them pay!” The vassal’s head snaps up, its black, pupil-less eyes somehow manage to stare right into his violet ones and send shivers down his spine. Its deep purple hair brushes against its porcelain skin, its body making cracking sounds with every movement of its joints… as if it wore itself out all these years.
He wished that the times he’s seen this… this thing has made it easier for him. But it never does. He’s staring right at himself–or, the part of him that crawled out of the failed experiments belonging to his mother. Lost, vengeful and devastated.
“Things… things are different now…” He finds himself trying to appease this creature’s wrath.
“Ha! How different do you think it is? Until their mortal bodies fall and decay? How many times must we be abandoned for you to see?”
“Lumine isn’t like the others.” He finally says, stern.
The creature scoffs. “She is a creature of another world, once she finds her kin, she will waste no time in setting course to another world. And we –we will be abandoned yet again.”
The creature cackles, its joints cracking as it tosses its head back.
“Scaramouche. Scaramouche– Zephyr !”
The wanderer’s eyes snap open to find a pair of golden pools staring at him, distraught. The scent of wind in a flowerfield pierces his senses, forcing him to focus only on the woman in front of him. He feels warm–too warmed by the fire that seems to still be dancing in full vigor. The resounding laughter is now but a distant echo in his mind.
“What, did you have a nightmare? Want me to cuddle you to sleep?” He wants to smirk like he usually does but for some reason he feels too tired to do that so it ends up looking as if he is genuinely asking.
That turns out to be a mistake. Lumine’s worry stricken face morphs into one that of anger.
“Worry about yourself! You were thrashing in your sleep, your face was so scary… and… and you were saying my name.” Her expression returns to anxiousness as she recalls the scene that woke her up.
“I’m sorry for waking you up.”
“That’s not the point here, Zephyr.” She seldom uses the nickname she gives him though he wishes she would.
But that makes this situation even more dire than he thought.
“I must’ve scared you, sorry.”
“That’s not it either.”
Lumine’s face contorts into an unexplainable cypher, she looks as if she wishes to say more but instead she sits next to him, raises his head and places it on her lap. Scaramouche freezes as if he’s been hit by the icy frost of cryo slimes.
But he recovers a second later and curls his body into a fetal position–he may not be able to ugly-cry like a certain floating intelligence but if a showing his vulnerable side after a nightmare is what will raise pity for him in Lumine’s books, swallowing his pride and acting like a scared little puppy is a small price to pay for salvation.
He thought being able to lay his head on Lumine’s soft thighs is the most he’d get out of the nightmare but her lithe fingers begin to stroke the strands of his hair. Every time her finger tips touch his scalp, he feels an electrifying current run down his spine and settles deep within his bones. Perhaps, if he had an organ to pump blood to his veins, this would be equivalent to what people would describe as a racing heart.
“You know… you don’t have to act tough anymore… you don’t have to hold it in. If something annoys you, you can vent to me. If something makes you sad, you can cry with me. If something disturbs your sleep, you can wake me up and I’ll do everything I can to soothe you.”
“I’m no child. Some nightmare isn’t going to make me cry and weep and ask you to check every shadow for monsters.”
‘Because the real monster is within me.’
“Still, isn’t it nice to have someone lay with you to talk to on nights like this?”
“Well, every night is ‘nights like this.’”
Lumine’s fingers go motionless at his words but he simply murmurs ‘don’t stop, it feels nice’ and the gentle motion of lithe fingers combing through his hair resumes.
“When did you start having these nightmares?’
“I was already having them after I became transient but it got worse after achieving godhood–the ghost of my past self seeking a promise I made to myself long ago… It makes sure I don’t forget.”
They fall silent for a moment, only the sound of running water nearby and the nightly creatures fill the air.
“Sing for me, traveler.” His way of speaking makes it sound like an order but the subtle tremble in his voice tells her that it isn’t easy for him to open up to her like this.
These are the things only Lumine knows about Scaramouche.
“I’m not much of a balladeer… so don’t blame me if one of your eardrums bursts.”
Scaramouche makes a sound between a chuckle and a scoff, as though agreeing to her terms.
So she begins to hum a tune; one that reminds her of the folklore she heard somewhere in the past about wandering souls finding one another through the whispers of the winds. Her melodic voice seems to calm his nerves and soothe the knotted strings within the hollow of his chest. The owls and crickets accompany her singing like an orchestra. Squirrels peek from within the tree trunks as though curious which of its forest dwelling kin owns such an angelic voice.
The mellow, tilting song comes to an end with the story of the wandering souls returning to the winds as they reach the end of their lives.
“Hmm. Not bad.” Scaramouche remarks.
“Why aren’t you asleep yet? I’m not singing another song.” Lumine responds, a playfully annoyed tone wrapped around her words.
“I’m scared of falling asleep. I need something to hold… like a life sized pillow–ow.”
Scaramouche’s head hits the hard ground as Lumine abruptly stands up, looking down at him with an unfazed expression.
“Seems like you’ve calmed down enough to be cracking jokes, I’m going to sleep.” She walks across him to her original spot and lies down next to a snoring Paimon, her back on him.
Scaramouche folds his arms under his head as a makeshift pillow, staring at the vast galaxy–the skies may be fake but they Celestia did an excellent job at replicating the intricacies of the stars and the cosmos.
He lets his eyelids flutter shut as he trails off, “perhaps another time…”
To get the traveler to agree to let him hold her while they sleep, he means.

Before anybody gets confused…THIS IS NOT CANON IN THE SLIGHTEST.
THIS. 👏IS JUST. 👏AN EXCUSE. 👏TO SIMP FOR VENTI. 👏WHILE MAKING IT. 👏AS COMPLICATED. 👏AND DRAMATIC. 👏AND CONVOLUTED. 👏AS POSSIBLE.
In short, this is just a silly little au.
👏
I did this all in one sitting so yes thank you my grammar is atrocious
So let’s consider harbinger Venti’s situation.
Because in BarbzLANDIA, He’s canon now. Don’t @ me he moved into my silly little brain with his thousands of suitcases that he stuffs in his hat somehow and I kinda need his rent money🙄🤌💸
So consider the following:
How tf are people going to react to lord Barbatos then?
- The fatui would be petty, sis. The more mondstadt thinks they’ve been abandoned by their archon of freedom in exchange for this new wackadoodle OP harbinger, the more people will loose faith in him as their archon and not only will he lose power, but he will gain disappointment.
We Venti stans already know this poot likely Carries way more guilt and truama and depression than he lets even the traveler in on…so this is why it pleases the higher ups of the fatui and abyss to see this happen, especially since HES now the harbinger who’s ruining everything.
(Don’t you just want to spit on them and hurl sheakspearean insults at them?) (I know I would!!!!!and that’s just the start!!!)
(Why am I so mad at fanon depictions of characters I am making I will never know, but in the meantime, we tread on)
Timing? - what’s mondstadt like? What about our favorite characters? Tf they up to?
Like, it already had fatui and stuff so it would all just be blown way out of proportion. Like, imagine the fatui have been in there longer…(I think I made an imagine post a few months ago where mondstadt is suffering because Venti got *officially infected*, and because he’s the wind, the weather and much more is affected…so the fatui…they kinda just…infiltrate casually over decades, at least until they can catch the anemo archon at his lowest and have that power over him)
For the most part, at the point that I’m thinking the story would take place… fatui soldiers and the knights of favonius have basically melded into one group. Those who didn’t like the change and could leave left…but some people couldnt, for the good of Mondstadt.
The church of favonius, as time goes on, gets a lot of flack for supporting a god who clearly no longer cares or maybe even exists, in the eyes of the people who have seen it’s fall.
(It’s been rumored that, though it is rumored he is of mondstadt descent…the recent lord harbinger in residence has not stepped foot in that cathedral.-could he be ashamed of his actions…or is there something bigger behind this?)
(Maybe I’ll get to my ideas for other characters in a different post but y’all know where diluc is goin’)
(He’s going to the swimming pool. He’s gonna go swimming, and then will get a slushie. What he doesn’t finish he will give to his pet bird. His bird likes grape. He doesn’t. They will feud. He will appease the bird and give him grape. He will then get a la croix. Then he will go home and stream BNHA and act like hes todoroki, only to stop for obvious, blaringly obvious, reasons. That will be all. We tread on.)
What is the extent of Venti’s power in this? Would he have any at all?
Though he knows they do it to taunt him, he actually does.
His wishlist is simple-
1. Mondstadt is safe.
And those with power over him know that. They also know he may be more powerful than them…but he actually has class, and thinks before he acts.
So…they actually kind of trust him to be a good harbinger. They let him run mondstadt the way he see fit…he can’t just leave and give them freedom…
It Iitersll sucks cause he has to be the tyrant so that nobody else will be the tyrant and do worse things…
As long as it serves the Tsaritsa and her plans. If not…trust he will be dealt with 😥
(More on that here maybe)
Though many statues of the seven have been defunct for a while, he would still be able to gain his own power from at least one…because technically, they already have his gnosis. It just so happens that it’s still inside of him. They have him wrapped around their finger by this point…
Misc: necessary to include
Venti would be so trusted by the fatui at this point that they put him in charge of Childe. No…childe does not bump up a place. He’s still 11.
You can imagine how interesting their interactions would be.
(You can imagine how offended he is)
Diluc is the token fugitive before the traveler and posse(posse being paimon and the Windblume in question) shows up in mondstadt looking for their sibling

Hoyofair 2024 New Year Program
Timestamps are in the video description, along with English subtitles for (as of now, some) translated lyrics throughout the stream.
Personal thoughts and all that - this program is a mix of both Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail fan works, so I want to talk about both! I'm cherry picking the sections I have comments for, which is most of the program (and nearly all of the first half).
Managing dedication between both games... is pretty time consuming, haha. This is a HSR blog, but I really can't keep Genshin under wraps.
For the first half — Genshin Impact
The opening song is cute. They used both Aether and Lumine, and traveler twin appreciation is always appreciated.
Dive Into The Mystery was a bop! I like the singer's voice and the use of photographs and newspapers to highlight the characters of Fontaine. It gives off a mix of old and modern news. This kind of MV is fun to watch.
KIERU is back with another animation, this time Persona 5 style for the Fatui characters of Fontaine! Rogue on the Rocks is fully voiced, too! They don't miss. Arlecchino is... wow. I love Arlecchino.
The Knave MV: X is dedicated to Arlecchino. The transition from a jazz-y vibe in the previous video to rock sung by NANO threw me off for a bit, but it goes hard. The crying statue of Furina, and references to whoever I assume was meant as a stand-in for the previous Father...
The premise of Cyber Fontaine: The Last Bakery is? Something out there. Xiangling and Navia is not a duo I expected or ever thought about, but they work well together! This was an adventure to watch, blending action, suspense, comedy, hinting at a larger world in Fontaine, and with a satisfying end. The song they play sounds familiar but I can't quite place it...
Secrets of the Harbingers takes Charlotte into the deep end of journalism... anything for a good scoop, the people have a right to know the truth! Sprinkle in some hilarious posters in the background. The featured harbingers are Pantalone, Sandrone, and Il Dottore... quite the trio.
The animation for Furina: All the World's off Stage highlights Furina's time in the streets of her nation. She's a girl, it's her world! The music goes hard, Furina is living her best life off stage, and all is well in the world.
I think every year has featured at least one stop motion animation. I'm happy for that; stop motion is incredibly time-consuming. Not much to say about the Furina stop motion, I'm glad to see it.
The Best funeral service for you... Hu Tao is so dear to me. The phone number? The coupons? THE COURT CASE? Keep trying and you might get some customers soon.
Subutai Production returns for Furina VS Nahida: Trial of the Archons! Fully voiced court room drama between the gods. Theater kids. Love that for them.
Genshin Magicka: Little Witches, in the same style as Little Witch Academia! Collei, Yoimiya, and Sucrose are our student witches, with La Signora as the antagonist and Nahida to be saved.
Modern AU with characters vibing together for Travel to Your World. Tighnari keeps the ears. Big sis Jean is always going to be Klee's sister, no matter the world. Thoma going grocery shopping with Navia pulled a smile out of me, and transitioning to Ayaka shopping for Genshin plushie merch (all the plushies are official merch, by the way) got me to laugh. Everyone is wearing such fashionable outfits. Idol group Amber/Nilou/Barbara/Yunjin VS girl group Yelan/Ei/Yae Miko/Eula, then boy band Al Haitham/Cyno/Scaramouche/Wrio(???)... I was genuinely surprised to see him there. 4nemo with Kazuha/Heizou/Lyney/Venti! They're not the OGs but they are sure four anemo boys. So many characters from different regions would be friends in the modern world... I can definitely see Dehya and Childe hanging out in a bar together. The ending, though, with all five released archons - what a way to end the year.
The Way Colored in Starlight concludes the first half of the program, rolling credits with art by Kurattes. I'm glad to see their art at the end of the year. They've done a lot of stuff for previous New Years and Anniversaries, so it feels fitting. And y'know, Lumine love!
For the second half — Honkai: Star Rail
The opening song is another bop! What a beat, what a voice!
Galactic Grand Prix! Animated by MIOTA ANIMATION! I'm pretty sure they're a studio. Argenti's teammates are Stelle and Clara, while Asta has Welt and Pela, leaving Luka with Fu Xuan and Herta. Hard to tell who won (it cuts off at the end to transition to Lynx) but way later in the stream an announcer mentions Asta got first place, with Luka leading in second and Argenti placing third.
Luka shines in Sparks Yet to Fly! From the program list, this was the one I was most excited for. I don't care for him that much, but I think he's an interesting guy. The people behind this video seem to care a lot about him from how well produced this video is; he has his fans among this world, too. Pretty sure the audio they use is from the HSR OST, though not sure which track.
Nowhere to Run takes Blade down memory lane, with the fall of the High Cloud Quintet to chasing a shadow of Dan Feng to him joining the Stellaron Hunters. The song that plays is Oracle, from Honkai Impact 3rd. I knew I recognized it, but it took me a while to figure out the name of the song... I'm not a HI3 player.
The Astra Express trio in Our Trailblazing Adventures kicks off with Stelle and Caelus, March awakening from the ice, and Dan Heng on a bridge on the Luofu. Overall a wholesome trio going about their lives, do not separate them.
The one afterwards is Dr. Ratio dancing in only a towel. This is more like a meme song, but it's funny, so I like it.
Dead Girl Walking leads us to the Ten Lords Commission! It focuses on Hanya and Xueyi, to be precise. To be honest, I thought it was going to be a Heathers reference at first. Nice animations!
I'm happy with Pink Ambience. Elysia is my favorite HI3 character, and hearing TruE play moved me to nearly tears. I wish she would appear in HSR... but even if not, it's okay (and I'm confident it won't happen because that would turn over her entire purpose; she's meant to be a unique existence, she can't exist outside of the role she already had). March would be good friends with Elysia.
Took me a while to realize Funny Bone was about Sampo, I really thought they were all OCs from the Masked Fools. Just your ol' buddy and pal, Sampo! The song is a banger, and the animation reminds me of Arcane, sort of. A blend of 3D and painting, I guess? I love the ending.
Dan Heng Rises takes us back to the fight against Phantylia, now animated. The great galactic batter Stelle herself fights alongside Jing Yuan, Welt, March, and Dan Heng to take her down! Dan Heng catches March from falling, it's cute. Welt uses the Star of Eden! It's nerfed but still effective enough to give Dan Heng a boost! Lightning Lord shows up too! I didn't expect much going in, but this video is great. Power of friendship triumphs, after all.
A lot of the people who saw Cyrille's Doll likely forgot about who she is. She's an NPC you can encounter in Belabog as a child, but is dead in the present due to unfortunate circumstances beyond her control. You get to go through her story throughout the quest chain Vessel of Mediocrity. The song for this one is called てるてる坊主 or Teru Teru Bouzu, which apparently is a children's nursery rhyme. It also refers to the white dolls/charms crafted to bring in good weather; if you've seen Weathering With You, then you know what they look like.
Lynx in Winterland is just Lynx exploring. It's a wholesome video, and that's all I have to say. I'm sure Lynx is a nice character, but I don't care about her that much, to be frank (same boat as Luka).
The rolling credits play with a piano cover of Fly Me To the Moon... which is pretty fitting, given HSR's space themes, and the lyrics of the song. Let me see what life is like starward, forevermore.
And that concludes everything in the stream! Thanks for reading this far, kind stranger!

HS Teacher!Venti headcanons because I can, and because I just thought of this now.
-He teaches English and Poetry, obviously.
-He’s a frequent visitor in the band/choir area, and knows the teachers well. Some of the students like to joke that he’s another member of the music department.
-Venti, despite being one of the oldest teachers, surpassed by only Zhongli (The entire staff is young, okay.), looks extremely young, to the point that he gets mistaken as a student sometimes.
-It’s become a running joke that Venti will sometimes crash the band or choir whenever they have a sub, and see how long it takes for them to notice. It’s usually not very long, but the students never point it out, mosty because the subs reaction is always funny.
-Sometimes he’ll even just take over teaching, much to the chagrin of the rest of the faculty, and the sub in particular. Eventually, the music teachers had to put in warnings for potential subs.
-He’s extremely wise, despite his age (only in his early 30s) and appearance. He loves being able to help his students, and they find his input to actually be quite helpful.
-Aside from advice, students are fond of eating in his classroom and just talking with him, as Venti is a very good conversationalist.
-He helped Diluc and Kaeya, two of his students, work through some of their personal issues when they were in their junior year. He hated seeing them be so distant when they’d once been so close. It wasn’t an instant fix, but they were both in the same section of his AP Prose and Poetry class the next year, and he was glad to see them almost back to normal.
-He’s part of a well known online streaming group called the Archons, a group of teachers who play games and discuss various academic topics, among other things. But don’t get it twisted, they are still extremely chaotic.
-When his students found out, they were surprised but excited.
-His room is right next to Zhongli, the history teacher.
-Once his students realized he liked apples, he was a frequent reciever of apples and other apple flavored treats.
-He’s not as much of an alcholoic in this AU, but he’s still a regular at the local bar, and he gets I.D’ed every time, without fail. His licences is completely legitimate, but unless the bouncer recognizes him, there’s the chance they’ll still try to refuse to let him in.
-He has a Lizard in his room named Dvalin. Some student a while ago nicknamed him Stormterror as a joke, and now that’s the lizards second name. Venti...strongly dislikes it, but doesn’t have the heart to really stop anyone from calling him that.
-He keeps a functional but relatively cheap lyre in his room, and he likes to do lessons using it sometimes.
-He’s totally willing to teach you how you play it, you just need to ask.
-He doesn’t assign homework very often, since he believes students should be free to choose what to do with their time outside of class. Alas, he does still need to assign such things as work and tests, but he tries to be as lenient as possible.
-Well, that is, outside of his upper level writing classes. He might be a easy grader in his lower level electives, but he expects his students to put forth their best effort, and he can tell when you aren’t and will score accordingly.
-He and Zhongli will frequently drop by while the other is teaching. Mostly Venti stopping by Zhongli’s room to annoy him.
-He likes having the windows open in nicer weather, and to have good air circulation.
-He’s generally pretty easy going and relaxed, but god forbid anyone threaten his students. He’d die for them, no questions asked.
-Once, Mondstadt High went into lockdown because of an intruding group known as the Fatui. The security managed to apprehend them, but only because Venti and Lumine, a student he’d been walking with, stalled them. They were injured, but no one else was hurt thanks to them.
-Lumine would never forget the way her teacher had protected her at that time.
-Overall, he’s ususally one of the students favorite teachers.

Streamer Xiao
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Xiao X GN! Reader
Little fluffy messy drabble about streamer! au Xiao (:
Word Count: 1.3k
Tumblr media
Xiao, “X_SamuraiAdeptus_X” Twitch’s resident emo boy. (That’s what his followers call him, anyway.)
He started off as a vtuber on twitch, just to dip his toes in the shit show that is streaming. Probably had some sort of demon model, definitely the type A LOT of people simped for (think that streamer Shoto). His model was def how he got his first 1k followers.
Alas! He slowly opened up more, and eventually did a face reveal, of which went viral and trended, and then just started streaming with his real face.
He always has somewhat tousled hair with dark eyeliner. His eye’s are so captivating even through the screen!
His model is still beloved in the fandom, but now it’s a joke that he’s a slayer of demons because he “killed” the demon that possessed his channel.
Yeah, most of his followers are weirdo’s in that fun creative way.
He’s actually an artist, too, draws his own Twitch emoji’s and avatar.
He supports small artists, though, often commissioning Discord server emoji’s.
The king of vibing in a dark room with nothing but a bunch of colorful LED lights everywhere to provide light, as well as the king of streaming in the dead of night (for him, anyway). Starts his streams at 9pm most days, ends somewhere around 1am. This changes sometimes, of course, but you can clearly tell he’s some sort of night owl.
He’s always playing horror games, and absolutely did all the FNAF games in a month because he never played them when he was younger. Xiao is always looking out for his inner child that never got to do this sort of stuff.
Little shit does not get scared easily, jump scares don’t get him, but Archons when he played Phasmophobia with his streamer pals, Childe, Aether, and Venti, he was laughing his ass off at how easily scared they’d all get. Sadist.
He’s definitely regarded as one of the hottest Twitch men out there, and his discord is extremely chill. People are always on VC listening to music.
Has around 2.3 million followers!
He enjoys single player games the most like Skyrim, anything fantasy, and that’s because he’s not the most competitive person. Completely chill dude.
As Xiao’s following grows, so does his revenue from Twitch, and he tries to pay the community back after every stream by donating at least a thousand dollars to a small streamer he finds and likes. He’s more likely to donate to a vtuber, though, only because he has a soft spot for them since that was his beginning too.
Now.. Xiao is EXTREMELY reserved, people barely know anything about him. They know he’s 23, they know he likes almond tofu and tapioca pudding, they know he has a pet cat he found in a dumpster one day and named him “Dumpy” and a Parakeet, but they don’t know much else? Sure they know his Twitch friend group, and that he’s probably some ~city slicker~ (just a hunch, really), but that’s not really anything.
Yes.. that’s right.. they have no idea he has a s/o, you. (or so he thinks.)
It’s not like he’s ashamed or anything, he just sees no reason to talk about it.
Also the thought of him blubbering on about you like a love-sick fool on stream makes his face explode with a fierce blush.
But you’re so supportive! You’re literally the best!
He’s never mentioned having a s/o, but chat isn’t that dumb.
They can clearly see and hear someone walking into the room and handing him food and drinks - it’s especially noticeable during his bi-monthly 12 hr streams.
You guys actually met before he became famous, before he even hit 1k followers, you met on Twitch. You were a follower. How cheesy??
God, you joined his Discord and somehow immediately intrigued him with your goofy cute self.
Late night’s staying up on voice calls with you, just chatting about games and life.
He was very easy to get along with.. after you dug your way past that reserved exterior that is.. Such a tsundere. And sure, parasocial relationships with streamers is everyone's worst nightmare, but he was the one who confessed to you!
Aha! So you weren’t a creep for liking him!
Cue the online dating for one day because one day was how long it took for both of you to realize you live 15 minutes apart and could literally go meet up.
Brings you a lego flower because it lasts longer than a real flower <3
That was around four years ago, and he fucking grew FAST. (Thanks to becoming friends with a certain someone who’s in the top 50 most followed Twitch users).
Your sweet man who’s obsessed with parakeets.
Yeah, the parakeet and cat cuddle, his apartment is crazy.
Dumpy is usually found chilling on the couch behind him during streams, and his blue parakeet, Milk, can either be found on his shoulder, head, nuzzled against his neck, or gone (with you in the next room).
Has a redeem to kiss his pets for 10k points lolol.
Dating a streamer was definitely a challenge at first, I mean their schedules are CRAZY? He always make time for you, the light of his life, but streaming was his primary source of income, so he had to pour himself into that as well.
He gets burnt out rather quickly, so it’s not uncommon for Xiao to cancel a stream a few hours before he was supposed to go live, instead opting to worm his way into your arms on the couch and watch movies. He tends to fall asleep like this, often drooling, so watch out!
He always returns to Twitch with a pep in his step! Rarely smiles though.
His streams are actually really fun and entertaining, not too chaotic but fun enough for time to melt away so quickly. He’s usually calm and collected but FUCK he rages HARD when something goes wrong, like when a cyclops beats the shit out of him in Skyrim or a monster one-shot’s him in Monster Hunter.
I’m talking yelling at the screen, breathing heavily, but unlike most dudes who rage, he does all this while going right back at it, effectively using his anger to slay whatever beast pissed him off.
Afterwards he sighs, leans back in his chair and is like, “Ugh.. sorry..NO! I’M NOT A DEMON SLAYER STOP IT!” Aggressively drinks a juicebox.
He knows you watch him sometimes though, so he does that kpop idol heart thing with his fingers just for you <3 Granted, all the fangirls and guys go wild but yeah, it’s for you.
He also likes to cosplay, so his Instagram is filled with cosplay photos that you or Venti took of him.
He has so many side jobs- modeling (thanks a lot, Venti), selling art and merch, brand deals, he’s LOADED.
His childhood friend and small streamer, Zhongli, actually helps him manage his finances since Zhongli is a history nerd accountant.
You can expect merchandise all over your shared apartment, coolest tech pieces, so many games, literal heaven. So many cozy spots too, even has a little nook next to a wide window where he likes to read.
Yeah, he’s a book worm. Has cute reading glasses too.
He’s a weeb too.. so.. anime figurines. Nothing explicit, but yeah anime figurines. Loves those chubby little nendoroid’s!
One time before a stream, you put his hair up in a bun and he just left it.
So much fanart the next day..
You were actually the one who dragged him into playing Genshin, “I wanna play games with you!” How can he say no???
Only plays if you co-op with him, but of course his other streamer friends like Tartaglia and Scaramouche notice he’s online and join too for shits n giggles. They leave him to die to the bosses, you have to go save him haha.
Yeah. He’s a Genshin noob, but at least he has the funds to be op! He’s also a quick learner, so before long he’s got a better understanding about builds and what teams work best together than you! Pissed you off a little bit and he loves it.
After every stream, you’re usually asleep in the bedroom, so he smooches you on the cheek, crawls under the covers, hugs you close, and passes out for the next ten hours.
One time, though, he got SO tired at the end of the stream that he forgot to end the stream! He thought he did! Man got up and left!
Only found out he was still streaming when he walked into the game room loudly eating cereal the next day and saw his camera light still on and blinking.
Pictures of him with messy sleepy hair, droopy eyes, oversized sweatshirt, and knee-high kitty socks overtook the internet for three whole weeks.
He’s such a cute mess.

Eleven Months, Five Days
Warnings: angsty as hell, GN! Reader, a drop of fluff at the end, very LONG, suggestive kinda? This hurt me when I wrote it
Character: Xiao
Word Count: 3,521
Requests: CLOSED
Tumblr media
Looking up, you could see a bright light that you were ascending rapidly towards. However, something was wrong. Your ascension to the exit was slowing and looking at Xiao, you realize his strength is waning.
The lone adeptus had already been injured and was exhausted from fighting all alone before he had been able to meet up with the rest of the group. Xiao was panting, and as his mask breaks and disappears from his face, you realize there’s no way he can continue to power the fantastic compass alone.
“You can’t keep this up… your strength won’t last!” Yanfei exclaims, a sad and desperate look in her eyes that you know mirrors your own.
Xiao’s shoulders sag and the stream of his energy being fed to the amplifier dwindles to nothing. He looks up, noticing the exit just ahead. As soon as he looks back down with a new resolve you know what he’s planning to do.
He’s fast, but for once, you’re faster.
Your eyes meet as his power envelopes the spot where you are standing next to him.
And then, you’re falling.
* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。
Before he can blink, Xiao realizes he is on the surface in full sunlight. He doesn’t need to look around to know what happened. He doesn’t have the strength to lift his gaze from the ground. Xiao already knows exactly what you did.
The scene plays in his mind in slow motion. Your eyes lock on his as he utilizes his power to prepare to transport you and the others out of the domain to the surface. Then, you moved. One second you were enveloped in the blue-green light that would transport you to safety, and the next, Xiao was the one in your place. Time seemed to slow as he reached for you, a new desperation on his face that you had never seen before, a pleading in his eyes that you didn’t recognize.
His shout of your name echoed in the empty void as he disappeared with the others, leaving you to fall to what he could only assume was your death.
You saved the Adeptus who promised to always come when you called. You saved the final Yaksha who promised to save you whenever you needed him.
And he will never forgive himself for it.
A hand gently lays on his shoulder, and he looks over, praying to every archon that it's yours. When he sees Yanfei’s hand instead, he immediately jerks away.
The movement is sudden and harsh and it has Yanfei taking a few steps back as she looks at the last Yaksha who refuses to meet anyone’s eyes.
“Xiao…?”
Xiao doesn’t answer, not because he doesn’t want to, but because he can’t. His throat feels dry and his tongue feels as though it doesn’t fit properly in his mouth. He can’t speak, can’t move, can’t do anything. He feels frozen in place, like he isn’t even in his own body as his mind tries to register what happened. Everything feels wrong. Even breathing feels too hard and his breaths become labored and shaky.
He was already prepared to sacrifice himself if it came down to it. Xiao was ready to sacrifice himself if it meant saving you. But now, you are beyond his reach. The domain that even he could not escape on his own has you. That goddamn domain…
Xiao does not even realize he is walking back towards the entrance of the chasm until a hand stops him.
“You know you can’t…”
He can barely register Yelan’s voice. He can barely register anything anymore.
You’re gone. You’re gone. You’re gone. You’re gone. You’re gone. You’re gone. You’re gone. Gone gone gone gone gone…
You’re gone, and you saved him.
That thought circles in his head, tormenting him just like the karma that has tormented him for centuries. He doesn’t want to believe it, but deep down, he knows it's true.
Xiao lost you, the one person who really gave his life meaning aside from the constant bloodshed he caused. The one person who took time to understand him, who trusted him beyond all else.
Xiao lost you, the same way he lost Bosacius. He lost you like how he lost the other four Yakshas he fought alongside for Rex Lapis. He lost the one person he had grown to love.
In that moment, the karma he endures feels unbearable.
In that moment, Xiao wishes that he would meet the same fate as the other four Yakshas.
* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。
Over the following months, Rex Lapis watched the last Yaksha, Alatus, begin to succumb to the same fate that had taken the other four centuries before. He can see it in how more and more hilicurls become corrupted by Xiao’s karma. He can feel it in the distance Xiao has put between the rest of the world and himself, locking himself away at the top of Wangshu Inn, almost waiting for the karma to end his suffering.
Zhongli remembers when Xiao came to him the night he learned of your demise. He can recall so clearly how desperate the Yaksha was, a desperation he had never before seen in Xiao even after he lost his four companions.
“Please Rex Lapis, if there is anything you can do… anything to save them…” Alatus’ voice was soft, but desperate. It broke Zhongli’s heart to see his last general so broken, yet, he felt as though he could not do anything. He had let go of his title as the Geo Archon so he felt as though this situation was out of his control. Since he faked his death, he was no longer responsible for any tragedies happening in Liyue.
So, Rex Lapis chose to step back from the tragedy, deeming it something he cannot fix as a regular, mortal citizen of Liyue.
“Xiao… I am no longer the Geo Archon. This… is beyond even me. I cannot help you.”
That was the last time they had spoken in months, almost a year.
Ever since that day, Zhongli has watched as Xiao stopped  fighting. He watched as Xiao killed with a new reckless abandon as if he no longer cared for his own well being.
And it was true, he didn’t.
Zhongli knew how much you meant to Xiao. He looked on as you walked into Xiao’s life the day you stepped onto that balcony of Wangshu Inn. He noted how Xiao watched the lantern rite from afar, finally taking time to interact with Liyue in a way he had not in centuries. Zhongli smiled when Xiao came to you as soon as you called only to try one of Xiangling’s dishes that he gave his approval to, even though he used to only eat Almond Tofu.
Zhongli secretly watched from afar as the Yaksha fell in love with you. Whenever you were mentioned, he would always notice Xiao immediately begin to pay attention, perking up and trying to hide the fact that he was listening with new intent. Whenever you called his name, there was not even a second before Xiao was standing before you. Everytime you needed Xiao, he would come without fail, and everytime Xiao needed you, even if he never voiced it, you would be right by his side.
The lone adeptus had finally found his companion. Zhongli knew Xiao needed someone to stand by his side in order to resist the twisted fate that seemed to loom over him.
And now, you are gone. Zhongli hoped that the Yaksha would improve, but his condition worsened daily. Even though Xiao never said it, never voiced how much he missed or needed you, Zhongli knew that he felt as though part of his soul was ripped out of him, like he was no longer complete.
It is a feeling familiar to Zhongli as well, one he has lived with for centuries.
Perhaps that is the reason why Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon, finds himself standing at the entrance of the domain that swallowed you whole, a new determination in him to save the traveler who allows the Conqueror of Demons to conquer his own demons; the one who makes him whole.
* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。
Even if you could go back, change what you did, you wouldn’t. Saving Xiao is a decision you will never regret, even if it means dying alone. Nothing could make you even wish to go back and undo what you did. Even if you were given the choice a million times, you knew you would swap your place with Xiao’s each and every one without fail, without even a moment of hesitation.
Even so, you miss him, dearly.
Every moment you spend trapped by the cavern walls, stuck in darkness, you think of him. You think of Xiao’s golden eyes and the way his messy hair blows in the wind. You think of the slight jingle made by his accessories as he walks. You miss every inch of him, from the one piece of hair on his head that always seems to curl upright to the gold plate on his shoes. You miss his calm, smooth voice that dripped into your ears like honey, never failing to overtake your senses and make your heart pound inside your chest.
In such a short time, Xiao had become your most trusted companion. You can remember the day you both met on the top of Wangshu Inn clearly. He seemed so closed off back then, readily pushing everyone who got too close to him away. You recall when he saved you from falling to your death the day Osial was risen by Tartaglia’s call. He touched you then, letting you lean against his lean yet muscular frame to support yourself, his arm hooked around you to keep you upright. You saw a softer side of him in that moment, a side you wanted to see more of.
Slowly, Xiao had begun to trust you. You could tell he was opening up when he allowed you to accompany him to a domain filled with monsters that had become afflicted by his karma and you knew it when he would accept your offers of help when there were large numbers of monsters that he needed to slay. Xiao trusted you to watch his back, and in return, he watched yours.
You noticed your growing feelings for him during your first ever lanturn rite in Liyue. While helping others prepare for the sacred festival, you found yourself hoping to share the experience with a certain loner adeptus. Even though Xiao denied your offers of attending the lanturn rite with you, you knew you must have gotten through to him when Zhongli told you in passing that he observed Xiao watching the rite from afar. Your heart had swelled in your chest when you heard that and it only fueled your determination to become close to the Yaksha.
Eventually, those feelings grew even more.
You knew they grew from how your heart hurt with sheer longing for Xiao during your travels to other nations like Inazuma. Whenever those travels reached their end, you always find yourself back to the top balcony of Wangshu Inn just to see the beautiful adeptus once more. You could hardly last a few weeks without going to see him, earning you endless teasing from Paimon and the other companions you met along your travels.
You love Xiao.
You love Xiao so much that you will die alone, trapped, just so he can have his freedom and live his days in the sunlight of Liyue.
So you sit in the darkness of the domain you had been bare moments away from escaping, alone. You don’t know how long it has been. Perhaps even years have passed since you fell back into the clutches of this chaotic space.
It is dark, painfully dark. So dark that you can hardly see your own hand in front of your face.
And then, in the next moment, the cavern is bathed in gold. It is bright, so bright that it takes you several moments to adjust to the light that is suddenly enveloping your senses. Your corneas feel as if they will burn up from the sudden shock after being trapped in the dark for archon knows how long.
Finally, your eyes adjust to the glittering gold that chased away the darkness that threatened to consume you.
You can hardly believe your eyes when you see Zhongli standing before you. This has to be another hallucination from the domain. Why would Zhongli be here? Is he trapped in this place as well? No, no that can’t be right. Zhongli has the powers of a god, there is no way he would be trapped in this place. But still, you find yourself calling to him, to the figure that looks like Rex Lapis.
“Zhongli…?”
He turns at the sound of your voice, and a smile forms on his lips.
“There you are, traveler. You don’t belong in this place, and someone is waiting for you.”
* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。* ★ ゚・。 *  。 * ☆ 。・゚*.。
Once again, Xiao stands on the balcony of Wangshu Inn. The nighttime air is his only reminder that he is, unfortunately, still alive. Every hour of every day, he wishes his karma would finally take him, finally cause him to lose his mind and go insane. At least that way, he would no longer have to feel the pain of losing you.
He feels numb. Whenever Xiao closes his eyes he can see you switching your places, shoving him back into the space made up of his own energy that transported him out of the chasm in an instant. That scene taunts him day and night, tormenting him and filling his thoughts. The yaksha had promised himself that he wouldn’t lose you the way he lost his four companions and yet now… now you were lost.
For almost a year, Xiao has been tortured with the knowledge that you are gone. Fuck… its been almost a year since he lost you, almost a year since he begged his archon to save you, almost a year since the man refused.
Alatus knows exactly how many days it has been since he lost you: eleven months, five days, sixteen hours, and twenty-seven… no twenty-eight minutes. For eleven months he has been forced to live without the person who made him wish to keep going, the person who made the pain from his karmic debt feel more bearable every second he spent by their side. Eleven months and five days… it's been eleven months, five days, and sixteen hours since he felt peace.
Each and every second feels too long. Every breath feels too hard to take. Every movement, every blink, every sound, it all hurts.
Ever since that fateful day, Xiao has isolated himself. The adeptus has become snappy with people who ask for his help, either brushing them off or flat out refusing to do anything for them. Everything has become a bother. People have become his worst nightmare once again. It was you who helped him; you who made it bearable.
Footsteps on the stairs leading up to the balcony catch his attention and a scowl immediately forms on his lips. Xiao does not even turn to look at who has intruded on his privacy before he starts cursing the intruder.
“Go the fuck away I don’t want—“
“Xiao?”
His heart stops. No… that voice… it's too familiar even though he has not heard it in almost a year. Time seems to stand still and the only sound that fills his ears is the leaves being caressed by the wind, and the sound of his racing heart.
He turns.
It has been eleven months, five days, sixteen hours, and thirty-nine minutes since his eyes last met yours.
Xiao’s breath catches in his throat and he cannot believe his eyes. In truth, he really can’t. He thinks it is his karma messing with him, making him finally go insane. That must be why he is seeing you now. He must be at his wits’ end. Yes that must be it, that has to be the case—
“Xiao!”
Your voice snaps him out of his daze and it takes him several long moments to summon his own.
“You… you’re not real… you’re not here,” he laughs bitterly, ripping his gaze from yours and looking back at the view beyond the balcony. “You are stuck at the bottom of the chasm. I must be hallucinating—“
A hand wraps around his wrist and he stops breathing. He has never turned around faster, golden eyes wide as he stares at your hand on his.
Xiao watches as you gently hold his hand up to your chest, placing it above your heart so he can feel its steady beating.
“I’m home, Xiao.”
The next instant, you are in his arms, pressed against his chest as he clutches you tight. Before you realize it, you’re crying and wrapping your own arms around him just as tightly as he is holding you. You feel something wet against your neck and it takes you several seconds to realize Xiao is silently crying against you.
He doesn’t say a word as his head pulls away from the crook of your neck, letting you get a good view of his golden eyes that are shimmering with tears. One of your hands moves to his face and you cup his cheek, wiping away his tears with your thumb. Your heart jumps in your chest when his hand covers your own and he presses his cheek against it, as if he’s savoring the feeling of your skin against his. His own hands then move to your face, cupping it gently. He doesn't speak as he slowly leans closer to you.
In the next instant, his lips cover your own and it feels as though the world has stopped for this moment.
Kissing Xiao feels like a dream, and if it wasn’t for the fact that you are aggressively pinching yourself, you would almost be confident that it is. His lips stay on yours for what feels like an eternity, even if it actually is only a few seconds.
When he pulls away, his forehead rests against yours and he slowly opens his eyes.
“Never leave me again…”
The words are so soft you almost don't hear them leave his lips. You nod silently, and the second you do, his lips find yours once more.
When you part from each other again, you are the one to speak.
“I will never leave your side again, Xiao.” You hold his cheek in your hand gently as he presses a small kiss to your lips before you begin speaking again. “I missed you every second I was trapped there. I love you too much to ever be away from you that long again.”
Your hearts beat in unison after your confession. There is a beat of silence before his smooth voice that you missed oh so much fills your senses once more.
“I’ve lived over two thousand years and no pain will ever compare to that of losing you for eleven months,” his voice is shaky, even recalling how long he spent without you is too painful for him to bear. “You said I’ll find someone who can stand by my side, and I have. I want that someone to be you, so please, don’t disappear on me again. I love you too much to let you go.”
His confession causes more tears to stream down your cheeks and this time, you are the one to kiss him first. Xiao tugs you impossibly closer, trapping you in his arms as he kisses you desperately.
Neither of you know how long you have been grasping at each other, kissing the other like they are your air to breath. Every time your lips part, you or Xiao immediately close the distance not even a mere second later. You cannot get enough of him, and he cannot get enough of you.
You aren’t sure how or when you ended up underneath him on the balcony, but when you open your eyes, you are met with the sight of him above you, arms on either side of your body.
“I was unable to hear you call my name for eleven months, five days, and seventeen hours. I will not wait a second longer to hear you call for me again.”
His lips cover yours once more, silencing the response you had for him. Your cheeks feel hot as he kisses you with new desperation, conveying every feeling of longing, hopelessness, relief, happiness, and love he has felt for you these past months.
Xiao keeps his promise, and you call out his name for all of Liyue to hear until the sun peeks above the sea to awaken the nation with news that their traveler has returned.

Your vision felt heavy on your chest. What once was your symbol of pride now filled you with doubt. The purple gem caught the light rays of the setting sun, glittering brightly. A little too bright for your liking.
You had your beliefs about your vision, always feeling that you had been granted your vision by the electro archon. You felt that she chose you because she thought you were worthy and perfectly fit her ideals. Did you really want to be associated with the archon who was so adamant on achieving eternity that she was ready to let her people suffer? Recklessness. Stubbornness. Inconsideration. Were those the values she saw in you when she left you an electro vision on your bed?
The thought itself sent shudders down your spine as you walked back into your tent, stripping yourself of all your armour. Another day, fighting against the Shogun for the right of the people. Another day of constantly distracting yourself from your guilt that was killing you from the inside, albeit unnecessary guilt.
Your battle gear fell to the floor, but you were too lost in your thoughts, thinking about the event that occurred a month ago. The event that made you loose every ounce of faith in your god and question yourself every step of the way.
The vivid details of you running up the steps with Kazuha to see your other best friend fall at the hands of the almighty shogun filled your mind. Memories of you trying desperately to shake him awake and then fleeing from the guards of the shogunate…they were horrible. And the worst memory of them all- when you came to a fork in the road and split ways from Kazuha in order to divide the group chasing you, and then loosing Kazuha all together, only hearing news of him running off to Liyue once you found refuge in the resistance.
One moment you had both of them and the next moment you didn’t. You didn’t even realise the tears slipping down your face as you ripped the vision pinned to your clothes and threw it in a random corner, cursing at the purple glass orb.
“I don’t think that’s how you treat a gift from the gods, Y/N.” You heard a familiar raspy chuckle come from the opening of your tent. You slowly turned around and there he was, in your line of sight, Kaedahara Kazuha, accompanied by General Gorou. Warm tears streamed down your cheeks faster as you slowly walked towards him, engulfing him in a tight hug.
You dug your nose into his kimono, inhaling the familiar scent of maple that you loved ever since you were children, always joking about how he smelt like a tree. He wrapped his arms back around you, squeezing you tight as if to make up for the month of distance, the time when you needed him and he needed you.
“I’ll leave you two to catch up for the night. You wouldn’t mind sharing the tent would you? We’re a bit short on space.” Gorou spoke while walking backward, leaving the tent once Kazuha nodded in agreement. You were too busy drinking in the sensation of having Kazuha around you again.
“How have you been Y/N?” He whispered into your hair, arms tightening around your shoulder. You sniffled. “I have had better days.”
Kazuha picked up on your low spirits and pulled away from you to guide you back to the bed. He let you sit on the bedding as he went to fetch the vision you threw away. He brought it back kneeling on the floor in front of you and placing the vision on your lap, grabbing your hands before you could think about tossing it away again.
“What’s bothering you?” He asked softly, understanding how fragile you were in that moment. When you opened your mouth to retort with the usual ‘I am okay, I’ll be okay’ he raised his eyebrow at you, shutting you up.
“It’s…it’s about my vision.” You breathed out sadly. Kazuha’s fingers tightened around yours, gently rubbing away the tears that fell on your knuckles. “You know you can talk to me Y/N. I’m always going to be here for you, even when I’m physically not.” He whispered, dropping his chin to your lap.
“Kazuha, do you think I’m reckless or inconsiderate?” You questioned, hiding your face behind your bangs. Kazuha stood up and sat beside you, tilting your chin to face him. His skilled fingers brushed your hair behind your ears so that he could drink in your beautiful eyes. You looked beautiful even when you cried.
“You’re far from inconsiderate or reckless. What made you think so?” He slid closer to you, bumping shoulder with yours. Exhaling deeply you leaned your head on his chest, your fingers brushed over the cold glass surface of your vision.
“You know the various theories about how people get their visions? One of them is that an archon found you to perfectly fit their ideals and values. If that’s the case…that means the Shogun…she thinks I’m perfect for her mission to pursue her eternity. That means she see herself in me.” You sobbed, feeling disgusted with yourself.
A vibrating laugh from beside you made you pull away to stare at him in shock. “Oh Y/N, there are so many theories, why are you believing that one? Let me tell you another theory.” He pulled you back into himself, falling backwards against the bed with you now laying beside him. The two of you faced each other and once again, Kazuha pushed the hair out of your eyes.
“Visions are granted by the Celestia based on what traits you show, and how they are your star features. Ancient scriptures show that electro visions are given to people who are bold and proud of themselves. Now if you keep doubting yourself, wouldn’t that make you unworthy of your vision?” His words struck you, realisation and hope filling your entire being you.
His fingers cradled your face, slowly drawing you closer to him, the intimacy making your cheeks burn red. “Kazuha…”
“You are worthy of this and so much more. I have never met someone as capable as you. I’ve seen you grow into the strong woman you are today, so why would you try to beat yourself down?” He shuffled closer, chest to chest.
One hand trailed to your waist, tugging you close enough to feel his heart beat beneath his clothes, while his other lifted your chin. His lips were but a breath away from yours, making you conscious about the close proximity.
But you felt no need to do anything about it.
“You’re worthy of every good thing happening to you. Don’t degrade yourself ever, because you’ll be doubting the one person I have complete faith in. The one person I love beyond words.”
And then his lips were on yours, the tingling warmth jolting through your entire body. His softness touched your heart as you pulled him closer to savour his lips.
When he pulled away, he saw your sweet smile and heard your adorable giggle.
“Thank you for making me feel worthy Kazuha.”
(Nsfw starts below!)
“I still have more to express Y/N. If you’ll let me, I still need you to believe.” His voice dipped an octave deeper and suddenly the aura of the room changed. The throbbing between your legs worsened when you caught his scarlet eyes drinking in all of your beauty.
“Kazu…” you couldn’t bring yourself to finish your words when Kazuha rolled you on your back and hovered over you, pressing kisses over your exposed neck and jaw.
Your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist squeezing him closer to you. You could feel his hardness brush over clothed cunt. He started humping himself against you, slowly dragging his pelvis over yours.
You mumbled out incoherently, reaching up to grab his loosened platinum locks and tug him closer. His lips fluttered over yours as he repeated his words. “You are worth every good thing happening to you. You deserve it all.”
Right now, in that moment, the only good thing you could focus on was his nimble fingers carefully undoing the knots that kept your clothes in place. Strings came undone and your top slipped down your shoulders, exposing your bare chest to the cold air.
You shivered and reached up to cover yourself, but Kazuha was quick to react, gripping your wrists and pinning them above your head. “I’ll help keep you warm. Don’t move.” His words had a threatening edge to them and you had no intentions of finding out what would happen if you were to disobey him.
You kept your hands by your head when he left them to rid you off your remaining clothes and then untying the sash keeping his kimono on, impatiently leaving it on, his bare chest and lower in your view.
You gulped as your eyes slowly drifted southward, his soft abs covered in a faint blue light slipping through the folds of the tent opening…and your eyes drifted even lower, blushing at the size and erectness of his dick.
“Just relax and let me take control.” Kazuha leaned on top of you again, grabbing your chin and pulling you into a passionate kiss. A perfect distraction from the pain that sizzled through your abdomen when he inserted his dick into you.
You groaned into his mouth, squeezing his shoulders in a death grip as he pushed deeper in languid motions, returning your groan with one of his own. He left your lips to rest his head in the crook of your neck, taking quick sharp breaths.
“God.. Y/N you’re squeezing me so tight.” He hissed, grinding into your warm cunt, savouring every drag of his dick against your walls.
You moaned, you wailed, you mewled. Wordless sounds spilled out your lips like an over-flowing glass. Kazuha had the decency to keep his own sounds in check, choosing to bite the sensitive skin of your neck. He sucked your flesh, surely leaving a mark for everyone to see in the morning.
When he felt you get conditioned to him being inside you, he rocked his body against yours rhythmically.
You sigh when the sensation started to feel pleasurable, making your body feel lighter, as if you were ascending towards Celestia.
“Ka-Kazuha.” You call out his name desperately, being greeted with his passion swirling red eyes.
“I’m right here Y/N. I love you so much.” He mumbled, leaning on his elbows to meet your face, lips attaching magnetically. In between his sweet pecks, you found it in you to mumble your own confession.
“I love you too Kazu.”
“If so, then will…will you grace me with you release at the same time as mine.” He offered poetically, face scrunching in concentration as he drilled deeper and harder. He was close and by the completely lost look on your face, he knew you were too.
Nails digging into your hips to keep you in his pace, he started thrusting into you in a relentless pace, grunting loudly at your clenching walls.
“Agh…Y/N…love you so much…”
“Kazuha! Love you! Cumming…wanna…cum..”
You both utter out in unison and with a single power driven thrust of his, his dick brushing against the opening of your womb.
The sensation of a balloon bursting overcame your nether regions, you coating his dick in your salty arousal as he rid out his own orgasm, ejaculating deep into your awaiting cunt. The sloppy sounds became sloppier, a ring of white around the base of his dick when he pulled out to flop beside you, heaving out breaths.
You rolled to your side, brushing the hair out his exhausted face as he brought his hands up to cuddle into you, resting his head right over your heart, hearing the thumping behind your ribs.
“I hope I was able to lift your spirits, Love.” He whispered as you wobbly pulled the covers over your bodies, snuggling your face into his hair. He still smelled like a tree. Before the both of you drifted off to sleep, you managed to whisper out.
“Yes you were Kazuha. Thank you.”

Streamer!Genshin Meeting Character!(Y/n) for the First Time
Characters: Scaramouche, Childe, Albedo, Kaeya, Venti
Scaramouche:
His viewers were constantly requesting that he play this game that’s been out for a little while now that was called Genshin Impact. So he finally gave in to see what all the talk was about
Getting through the tutorial and the first part of the chapter felt so long; visually it was beautiful as the story was pretty decent so far.
It wasn’t until he got to Liyue in the archon quest that things seemed to pick up for him. The character who saved him from almost getting arrested kind of irked him; it reminded him of his one roommate who was a rich kid type.
It wasn’t till the release of the event Unreconciled Stars that once again many of his followers flooded his messages telling him he needed to play the event during his streams so they could see his reaction to meeting a new character.
Curiosity peaked after hearing a bit that the character would be an electro catalyst. Which he started to play it instead of holding off for a few days; honestly he really wasn’t expecting much
It was until he finally saw you appear; he was a bit surprised as you weren’t exactly how he pictured you yet you looked cute but in a cool way? A little more of the interaction he’s a little on the fence on how he feels about you but he was interested in where this event was going, there was something just a little bit… off
Progressing he was a little bit bummed since he thought there would have been a bit more interaction with you. That was until he was back in Mondstadt with Mona who was helping solve this mystery when pleasantly surprised that you’ve showed up. Until Mona seemed to have some sort of revelation that caused her to teleport them all out of there
Needless to say he wasn’t happy that he was taken away from seeing you. “Excuse me you bring me back,” was his initial reaction but continued to watch when it was more clear that you were there to kill him. You were that other harbinger; number six of the fatui harbingers and the moment you snapped at one of the agents, you had instantly become one of his absolute favorites.
Childe:
Though his viewers have been requesting to play the soon released game Genshin Impact he has actually been long awaiting for this game.
To celebrate the release it was going to be a long stream as he’s stocked up on water and energy drinks and snacks. He’s definitely planning to do a giveaway for his viewers (though he won’t bring it up until he finally unlocks the wishing feature)
He enjoyed the plot so far as the conflict with Dvalin has been resolved but now the ameno archon’s gnosis was stolen by some woman who appeared out of nowhere. Soon to learn about the fatui group and their eleven harbingers
Off to Liyue at long last! There’s been chatter of one character that shows up fairly early in the quest and he is very curious to encounter whoever this character was
He was finally at the part where Rex Lapis came crashing down from the sky dead and now was sneaking to get to the exit. Definitely took him a couple of times and in the process of it all he was certainly singing the whole “Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious” song
Finally getting the cutscene where his character gets chased after unfortunately making sound. When things looked like it was going to turn into a fight he was surprised when hearing a new voice say “I got this one sweetie”. His mouth has dropped in pure awe of watching your character flip from above appearing out of thin air as you handled the Millelith with ease
Hearing you say follow me he had such a grin on his face; “Don’t gotta ask me twice I’ll follow you anywhere”. Of course his viewers in chat were raving and just spamming the laughing emote as the cutscene continued in a safe place
Looking at your character model admiring you as the reveal that you were a part of the harbingers but seemed to be rather friendly. “You guys I’m in love. (Y/n) better be a playable character at some point… I’ll be sad if I don’t get to travel the world with them” he says as when he finds out you're rich his initial thought was “So are they going to spoil me or do I get to spoil them? Cuz I really want it to be the second one” He hadn’t known you for long but he already wants to give you the world
Venti:
He was mainly known for his streams where he’ll sing or perform some of the instruments he enjoys and many of the games he’d play were a lot of rhythm games or one of the hilarious simulator games; so for him to pick up Genshin Impact it’s a little outside of the typical games he’ll usually play
He really loves the music so far, if the music wasn’t to his liking he’d probably drop it. Will probably take a moment to just listen to it and talk about what possible instruments used to compose it
After running around the world and looking for chests and whatever materials he saw along the way. He suddenly saw the big dragon fly over head and now making his way to the whispering woods to look for the feathered looking dragon
The cut scene started and there was the dragon on a rock but then he saw you; he doesn’t know anything about you but having seen you in some of the images that the company released he’s been interested in your character!
During your moment with your old friend had was making this face 🥺 but then that was when the snapping sound echoed causing the dragon to freak out and leave in a gust of wind. “Noooo I’m so sorry” he’s shouting at the screen when he watched the expression on your face turn sad before you seemed to just vanish
Has been bummed out since he hadn’t seen your character in a while until he saw you running with a lyre in your hand, he only fell in more love with you as he was running around with you trying to get the holy lyre from the church
Albedo:
It had been a while since more of the story was out but of course he’d play to do his commissions and gather materials he needed, but when his viewers showed him the announcement of the newest section of the map will be released; oh there was a new temperature mechanic that if it was too cold that his characters could freeze to death
Generally that would be fine… but he enjoys stopping and admiring the scenery which he easily gets distracted so he’s probably going to keep forgetting to stand by fire a lot
But the best part of all: they were introducing you, the chief alchemist of the Knights of Favonius. The one that was talked about by so many characters in their voice lines he finally was going to get a face to the name
He was already not liking that the so called ‘nun’ was insinuating that you weren’t trustworthy; the AUDACITY! Sure he hadn’t known your character long but he will defend you wholeheartedly, you have this charismatic to you that he’s just smitten
“If one day, I lose control… Destroy Mondstadt… Destroy everything… Can I rely on you to stop me?” After hearing that last line he needs a minute to take a double take to make sure he heard that correctly. “I swear if this is some sort of indication of something bad happening and I have to fight (y/n) I will not be happy,” he’s saying of course looking to his camera
Kaeya:
So many of his viewers were requesting that he play Genshin Impact as of course it would be a little different from the games he’s played in the past (Ya can’t tell me he wouldn’t have played Huniepop and doki doki literature club), but the idea of attractive characters in the game? He’s sold as the few characters he saw pictures of it seemed promising.
So he starts streaming it and all is going smoothly so far… Until it was time to learn about gliding right before Stormterror attacks and the mini flying fight happened
Once the cutscene starts he’s watching leaning back in his chair a bit until a clapping sound starts and that’s when everyone in chat was losing it and spamming the heart eyes emotes. Seeing you come into the shot he’s got a small little smirk; you were hot. He only seemed to love your character even more after hearing that you were the cavalry captain
When it came time to do your trail quest (which of course was the first one he went to do) he’s very much looking at your design and admiring your charming features. He asks his viewers if he leaves the domain if he gets to keep you or if you were one of the five stars that he’d have to wish for, spoilers don’t really bother him if he really wants to know what happens.
Seeing your summon art once he left he’s ecstatic that you will be forever in his team and once he’s able to he’s going farming so he can build you up

꧁Genshin Boys + Nymph Reader꧂
༻Diluc༺
Ok so this man will be seriously injured. A fresh wound from a terrible battle. He stumbles into a nearby forest, looking for a pond, or just any place with water to wash his wound to avoid infection. Diluc's knees buckles and he falls to the grass, the green threads scratching his skin. Blood colored the fields and there you are. Peeking from behind a tree. You look at him, eyes soft as you approach the man.
"—Gosh, you look awful..." you murmured.
Your voice was like a honey stream, slicing into the air. His final moments, he saw a girl. Embed in sashes, pearls and glittering gold through such flowing soft hair. You lift him from the ground, delicate hands grasp to his arm, pulling him up. He hisses, inhaling sharply and nostrils flared. "There, there..." you coo.
His lids are heavy, as crimson eyes lost their fiery steel.
-
He awakens, finding himself on plumpy nymph thighs, pillowing him for support. He lifts from them and turns his head, cheeks brightening. Nymphs gathered around and cried for joy, wickedly smiling to themselves and flashing their desirous eyes.
The lightness within his chest made the man unsure. He was badly hurt, but now he felt as though he could swing a thousands swords all in one go. "What— where..?" he faltered, so he tries again. "Who are you? And where am I? What happened?"
They chuckle, voices like content angels.
"Darling [Name] found you dying by the meadows," they said. "And you were too handsome to die." They tell him.
His brows furrowed at the sound of that.
"Darling!" cried a nymph. "Come sit by me!"
"Nevermind her, play with me!"
"No! He shall be mine!"
"Goodness what a catch on this one!"
"He's stunning~"
༻Scaramouche༺
The nymphs found him by the pond, and greeted him. How could they resist? He's got dreamy eyes, fair skin and such a brilliant smile. Plumpy like hands reach for him, tugging at his clothes and garments.
"Why don't you remove these things and join us for a swim?"
One nymph behind him circled her arms around his neck, embracing him from his back. He smiled, malice soaked indigo eyes. His pale hands travel to her face, using his thumb to caress her cheek. The others pout, craving for his touch.
"You are all..." he says. "You are all terribly hideous."
A sharp gasp jumps from their throats. Tears fell afresh from their bewitching eyes. They weep as he laughed in triumph. Scaramouche’s pride glowed as he proceeded to insult them. "You think I will sully myself to a group of revolting creatures?" he said.
"Stupid girls!!" he snickered, clapping a hand to his mouth, pretending to supress his wicked laughter.
"Are you sure, young man? They will get really, really, upset," you told him.
And of course, being the bitchy girl that he was, he didn't pay you any heed because he kept throwing and throwing word after word. Noisy cries slowly turns into snarls, the more he went at it, rage hitches within their throats.
It was only a matter of time before they pounce on him. And yeah... basically, he started war. Between harbinger and nymph.
-
You already know how this went. They were unmatched by his striking power, and turned to you. "What a vile man! Oh sister, you must help us!" they plead on their knees as tears fell from their eyes.
"But why? I'm in the middle of a nap."
"My fool of a sister! All you do is sleep and sleep and sleep some more— just kill him already!"
"You doomed yourself. I've got nothing to do with it."
Defeated, the nymphs fleet the pond and fled to a statue of their father, who was an archon, and prayed to him that he makes the balladeer pay for what he did, to punish him badly for every sounded letter that releases from his lips.
༻Xiao༺
Y'know... you were the malicous nymph.
You torment the adeptus until he becomes a mad man. Whenever you feel he's not looking, that's when you choose to engage into your devious acts.
You thieve his almond tofu, take his mask and only return it in the most randomest places. And then you take his spear, or render the people of Liyue in danger just to see him jump into rescue.
You probably did it, because you were intruiged of him. Perhaps it's because you were both immortals.
"Hey! How dare you... Do you realize what you're doing? Your juvenille ways puts us all in danger."
You snicker, spinning his mask around with your dextrous fingers. "What will you do about it?"
He grounds his teeth, seeing his eyes narrow dangerously. His fist clench, his face tightened. You hum, tipping your toes and lifting your heels. Xiao's lips split. "You think I am not afraid to kill a lady?”
You gasp, feinging afraid. "Then come and get me," you pout and then ran so childishly fast.
"Come and get me, Adeptus!" you cried, jumping in joy whilst having his mask curled within your fingers.
Before you could get farther away, he lands in front of you. His starry eyes set aflame in fury. He reached for your collar, pulling you close. He gave you a death stare. A gravely glower. Might as well carry you to your coffin.
He snatches his mask from your grasp and you look to him with a crooked grin, your creamy eyes darting away from him. "O... Okay adeptus, our game of tag ends here..." you sheepishly coo.
He gave a loud silence and you quivered, knees ready to buckle. He swung his arm and paused when you whimpered. "You're not going to kill me, are you?!" from glossy eyes, frightened tears escape.
No he didn't kill you. And actually couldn't bring himself to.
༻Venti༺
The nymphs never disliked him or anything. In truth, whenever the bard came by the pond, this was always the blissful time of day. He was humorous, and had such a sweet voice. Whenever he sang, his tunes would echo like a saint. When he'd giggle, their hearts would pound in their chest.
They sunbathered, and listened to him sing for hours on end. You enjoyed him too. When he'd come by, the nymphs would make Venti beautiful flower crowns and necklaces and he'd adorn it.  It was such a wholesome time.
"Sing for us, Barbatos!" they leap, clapping their hands. Then his fingers tuned a little song. Plucking thin threads on his lyre.
"My beautiful darlings. Just one look at you all pulls my weak heart strings~” he chirps, and flashes his signature smile.
It was no surprise that they became Barbatos's next devoted followers.
