A few stray thoughts rereading IWTV Part Deux Parts II-IV

...I have absolutely no memory of having read Part II before (???)

"It was as if the empty nights were made for thinking of him"....girl...

AR and her very specific kink stuff always strike at the strangest moments

Louis is SUCH a mess. Obsessed with Claudia being like please don't go back to see Armand, he wants me dead, and then Louis literally going back to see him a paragraph later. Show Claudia is going to be SO angry. And Louis is really just like, I think a weird older man with mind powers could fix me actually

Lots of thoughts about the parallels between Lestat, Claudia, and Armand, and how Louis views (or rather what he chooses to reveal about) each relationship

I am so intrigued by the Louis, Claudia, and Madeleine dynamic and really want to see how that plays out in season 2. Very much feels like it could end up being a (less antagonistic) mirror of the Lestat, Louis, and Claudia dynamic, with Louis taking on Lestat's role and Claudia somewhat taking on Louis's role

Reading the big death scene and imagining it with the AMC cast and I am genuinely unwell. Can you imagine Jacob's acting? Sam's? I simply will not be able to make it

(And once again, thinking a lot about Lestat in this book vs Lestat in the show. The dynamic with Claudia especially is really so similar. I fully believe that show Lestat loves her, and I would be genuinely surprised if they didn't acknowledge that)
