I've thought about sharing more audio logs that BATIM has given you, you have Sammy here, so I'm going to share a lot of things that I recorded a long time ago, anyway. Until next time
For everyone in the USA with wheelchair fundraisers/can't afford a wheelchair: consider vocational rehabilitation. It's a govt program available in every state, and it IS a massive pain in the ass to go through, but if they do a physical eval and find that you can't keep or start working/going to uni without disability aids, they will pay for it. There's no strings attached either. If you have insurance they'll run it through ins first and then pay the portion that insurance won't pay.
man doctors are so fucking dumb as hell i have spent two years dealing with almost daily tension headaches/migraines, muscle pain and spasms, constant unilateral tinnitus, ear pain and popping, eye pain and blurry vision, severe insomnia, brain fog, vertigo, and balance/coordination issues.
i had consults with multiple neurologists, rheumatologists, audiologists, and physical therapists to get a ton of inconclusive test results and a “something mildly abnormal. who could say why. looks like my job here is done” and ineffective or nonexistent treatments. learned to just live with the pain and impaired functioning while secretly worrying i had some serious condition that would remain undiagnosed until i collapsed in public in some dramatic fashion and got sent to dr. house.
dentist feels my jaw for 5 seconds and says “oh yeah that’s real fucked up lol. are you also having [all of the previously described symptoms]”
and the punchline to all this is i have to pay out of pocket to have it fixed because insurance doesn’t cover adult orthodontics ✨️
Despite my recent tinnitus, it has been confirming today by an audiologist that my hearing A-OK! Apparently, my hearing is above average - like that of an 18-year-old (I'm 30).
👏🥳👏
I cannot put into words how relieved I am.
One of my greatest fears is losing one of my senses. This is especially due to the chronic pain in my hip, back and hands caused by my Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder and Hip Labral (Cartilage) Tear making me near unable to walk and struggle to use my hands - severely reducing my touch sense. As such, I was terrified that I might be losing some of my hearing. So, the fact that I'm not - my hearing is fine - is wonderful news!
Even if I do still have tinnitus in my left ear. Been referred for an MRI scan about that. Even so. Yay!
utena fans!!!!! please give me your fave lines from the show (or songs in the show)!
i used to have so many of these in mind but i’m trying to do more watercolor lettering (and lettering in general) and there’s nothing more motivating than things from utena
