It’s only when I’m seriously exhausted that - for about half a second - I wish I were just an ordinary Rachel. Like when I’ve been going on no sleep for forty-eight hours. When I’ve been slashing and shredding the enemy and leaking blood from my own gaping wounds until I can hardly breathe without it hurting. When the very thought of sleep seems totally foreign. Sleep? Huh? I don’t wish it after a typical, everyday kind of mission. Just after the really annoying ones. The ones where we lose more than we gain. The ones where we fail to do any serious damage to the Yeerks. Then, I wish - for about half a second - I were nobody special. That I’d never stumbled onto the tragic sight of a dying alien warrior prince. That he’d never told us about the Yeerk invasion of Earth. That he’d never chosen us - me, my cousin Jake, my best friend Cassie, Jake’s best bud Marco, and this shy, compelling kid named Tobias- to adopt the noble Andalite mission. 

That he’d never given us the gift and curse of Andalite morphing technology. The ability to touch an animal and absorb its DNA, all for the purpose of becoming that animal when necessary. To fight off the invaders. To stave off the fate that has befallen so many other worlds through-out the universe. A fate worse than death. Total subservience to a mind-controlling master race.

Okay, has there EVER been a book series more obviously written for “BUY US AT THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR, TAKING PLACE IN YOUR SCHOOL STUDY HALL ROOM RIGHT NOW!!!”?

if doll reader is hollow, then their "skin" (porcelain) is probably just thin enough to let light shine through! at night time foul legacy or childe could use their visions to make little light shows in your arms and body (without hurting you obviously). they could even do some sort of shadow puppet show lol

your skin having carvings in it, certain areas that are just a hair thinner and drawn in artful swirls and stars and flowers. when you're just doing about your day-to-day life, they're not very obvious, just faintly different patterns that might make someone do a double take. only Foul Legacy and Childe have the privilege of seeing the carvings in all their magnificence- they fetch you something glowing and shiny, maybe a luminescent rock or a particular shiny firefly, or perhaps a tiny lantern burning with a safely contained flame. either way, you store it neatly away in your body, listening to it lightly clatter and bonk until stopping to rest. the light shines through your skin and makes the carvings glow with lovely, comforting warmth

Legacy chitters and chirps gleefully, circling you in excitement and gently nosing against your arms and hands, tilting his head until he's practically upside down. he needs to examine the patterns from all angles! even if he knows they'll be wonderful every time, he just likes watching the light softly gleam from inside. you're like a lamp, or even a nightlight! he sits you on his lap and presses his cheek against your head, crystalline eye bright and wide as he nips lightly at your hands, asking for headpats. Legacy's a bit too heavy to rest his head in your own lap, but Childe isn't, and you can bet that the moment he returns to being human that the Harbinger is flopping himself into your arms, nuzzling against you and admiring the light over your arms with a happy, peaceful hum

I like selling prints because I get to use my nice printer (which I love to do) and I especially love selling custom panel prints, because then I get to see people's favorite panels from my comic, which is double nice...

The most fun items to pack are the merch bundles which are themed with my books, I LOVE coming up with packaging design like this so much...

But my favorite design has gotta be one of these... Probably the patch, there.

It's really hard for me to pick!

I actually genuinely just am really passionate about product design and merch themeing, it's not only extremely fun for me but it also just really engages my brain. I love coming up with items that fit a theme, and there's no theme I love more than my own comics haha

So there's not much I could enjoy more! That's why I chose to do a merch club on patreon, it lets me get out my merch-y feelings but without overloading my storefront... Plus it's just really fun for me! I get to experiment, make little packages, and enjoy making new things.

enemies to lovers isn't "he's generally an unpleasant person to be around, he constantly puts other people down and disrespects/condescends/ostracizes them, he's cruel and a bully... but his one redeeming quality is that he looks attractive" like. bestie that's not a redemption arc!! or a redeeming quality!!! a person can and should control their behaviors, but how they look literally has no bearing on their worth as a person!

like... this trope is about an initial misunderstanding and miscommunication that leads to mild conflict and resentment of each other,but eventually they move past this rocky start by revealing to each other their humanity and good qualities, and communicating what happened the first time they met so that they can clear up that situation, and slowly becoming good friends who enjoy spending time with each other and eventually become really close, and the realization that one accidental mishap/slip in behavior/aashole mistake isn't what defines a person and sometimes your first interpretation of them is sometimes wrong!! an entire opinion of someone should be formed based on their behaviors, values, actions, and morals, and quality time spent with this person, not because they have nice cheekbones.

So I'm shopping on Etsy for ACOTAR merch for Christmas (because I wanted to treat myself this year), and good GOD there are so many Tamlin's Tears mugs and Salty Little Bitch Tamlin candles and bookmarks. Whyyyy? At least the Suriel Tea mugs are kind of funny.

It makes me want to make my own stuff instead, to be honest.
