Sometimes I'm doing well, and then other times Lucifer's level 30 intimacy phone call in Nightbringer suddenly comes back to mind, and I am once again reminded how Lucifer is so utterly desperate to connect with Satan in any way. hiccup the third winning both furious and wodensfang's hearts is just so poetic and the way all three hiccups' stories connect makes me want to yell and jump around.

furious got another chance to save his blood brother from a tragic fate and eventually dies from the same sword that killed hiccup the second. while wodensfang got another chance to see hiccup the third become king of the wilderwest and experience another human's lifetime worth of peace between the two kinds, much like how hiccup the first ruled in the beginning. it's just so.
