I didn't quite keep up with all of this when it was happening so I may be missing some stuff.

I thought the same thing as you (maybe the person is not famous) so I looked at more gurumi pics. Gurumi did cover a just a few other faces in some pictures so that theory made sense. Then the faces were revealed later on by someone exposing gurumi and the covered faces were known figures.

A kind jikooker sent me the uncensored photo and the person is, in fact, Lee Saeon.

I think gurumi covered the photos to scare more people and get more attention. I do remember being uninterested in the Jennie and Tae leaks but when she involved Jimin, she got my attention and the attention of a lot of other jkkrs and pjms. Then she leaked more idols and it became a bigger mess.

So it was all part of the power trip.

that's why I'm also genuinely worried about how many people (in my experience mainly young US swifties) put her on a pedestal, say they will always love her no matter what, think she's absolutely perfect and can do no wrong.

obviously it's okay to support people and be their fans and that almost always means idealizing them at least a bit, but blind faith like that is dangerous imo.
