Epilogue 1: Date night!
It’s been a couple of months now since me and Cragger had found ourselves in that realm. I hadn’t really thought about it honestly, all my duties as a king have really been keeping me occupied as of lately. Today was my first day off in weeks so I decided to finally go on that Date with Cragger. I told him a couple of weeks back that today would be my next day off so that’s when we can have our official first date.
I found myself pacing about my room, indecisive on what I was going to wear for tonight. I really didn’t know what I was going to do, this was my first date in a year and frankly I was panicking. I wanted it to be perfect, I just wanted everything to be perfect. No king duties, no issues, just me and Cragger. I turned around and saw Eris standing there patiently waiting.
“AH- Oh hey Eris.” I waved at her and went back to pacing around the room.
“Laval are you alright?” She asked concerned, looking over the possible outfits I had picked out for myself. “You told me to come over yesterday and you still haven’t told me why.”
“You’ve been on dates before right?” I asked her, looking at her with a serious stare.
“Yeah with Rogon like loads” Eris giggled to herself before continuing “But I don’t get why-” Her eyes widened as it clicked in her head. “LAVAL YOUR-”
“Dating again?” I laughed, I gave her an embarrassed smile“Yes I am. Now which outfit do I wear?” I held up one of the options, which is the outfit I normally wore but with some light blues and a red cape “Would this do?”
“Laval I-” Eris looked at me with an expression of kind-of shocked but kind-of not surprised “This is sudden. Whose this person might I ask?” I looked at her stunned, I didn’t expect her to ask this. Me and Cragger expected she would catch on and discussed telling her loads, we both agreed we’d tell her at some point but we didn’t know when. I sat down on my bed and sighed.
“You promise not to tell anyone?” I asked, “Not many people know.”
“Laval, you have my word.” She responded and took a seat next to me. “I won’t say a word to anyone. Not even to Cragger.” I sighed.
“That’s the funny thing” I laughed a little bit, “He’s actually my boyfriend now, He’s the guy I’m dating.” The words came out more confident than when I was coming out to Lavertus. Although that could’ve been due to the situation and or my friendship with Eris was more sibling-like. There was an awkward silence for a little bit before Eris gasped.
“Whoa.” She muttered, giving a sort-of ‘yeah I kind of guessed’ look, “How long have you loved him?”
“I…” I thought for a moment, I didn’t have an exact answer. “Well, I think it changed after what happened the day I found the crocodile beast and Crunket. We were having this short moment together before you and everyone else arrived, I don’t know why but in that moment I just felt… different about Cragger and I didn’t know why.” I stopped for a moment to think some more, “After me and Li’Ella agreed to break up and stay friends. I just felt a lot happier when I was with him.”
“When did you realise you loved Cragger?” Eris asked, placing her hand on my shoulder.
“It was actually shortly before we were taken to that other realm.” I replied, “We were just speedor racing and I was thinking that I just wanted to spend rest of my life with him.” I smiled, getting all flustered in the process.
“Who else knows about it?” Eris asked cautiously, I understood the amount of questions. Her best friend just told her that he’s dating someone who she thought was their best friend.
“Well I told Lavertus a couple of months ago.” I sighed, “And I told Sho and Asriel first. But since they aren’t here now I guess it’s just Lavertus and you that know.” Eris looked at me, I could tell she had one million questions in her head. But instead of asking them she just chuckled to herself.
“Well.” Eris smiled and proceeded to stand up, looking over the clothes I had picked out “Do you want me to help you then?”
“Yes!!” I shouted in relief “Thank you Eris! Thank you!” I hugged her, however I soon let go and looked over my options.
Later I soon found myself in an outfit that I overall liked that had a blue-ish cape and cyan tunic, however my nerves were getting to me. I had found myself sitting on my bed worrying, Eris was sitting next to me.
“I don’t know Eris, what if he doesn’t like it?” I asked her, worried.
“Don’t worry Laval, he's going to love it!” She reassured me, making final adjustments to the outfit and polishing my golden chestplate. “I guarantee you he’ll not think any less of you, even if he doesn’t like the outfit.” I smiled.
“Thanks bird-brain, that means a lot.”
“Your welcome furboy. Anything for my best friend.” She responded. I stood up and put my mane into a ponytail with the hair-tie that Sho said I could keep. I looked in my mirror taking a deep breath-in.
“I’m ready.” I muttered, taking one good look at myself in the mirror. I wasn’t the same lion I was before going to that realm, but to be honest. I was happier this way, I had an amazing boyfriend. And with my dad making a steady recovery and the nurses feeling confident that he’ll wake up soon, I feel the time where I can spend more time with Cragger is fast approaching!
“You alright Laval?” Eris asked me.
“Yeah. Yeah I am.” I responded, stretching my arms. I left my room with Eris following behind me. I soon ran into Lavertus who noticed the clothing choice I was wearing.
“So what’s the special occasion?” He asked, “Are you going out on a date or something?”
“Exactly that!” I responded with a grin, I walked past Lavertus who shouted “Good luck!” as I hopped onto my speedor and raced off. Me and Eris continued talking until I reached close to forever rock.
“Well, good luck with your date Laval.” Eris waved me goodbye as she flew away. I waved at her before parking my speedor and hopping off. I looked around wondering where Cragger was. I stood by the rock and waited, just thinking to myself and what we had planned for the date. Soon, Cragger appeared and he was wearing some sort of formal crocodile armour. I could feel my cheeks turning red as I looked at him.
“You look amazing!” We both said about each other's outfits, we both roared with laughter.
“I like what you did with the cape,” Cragger commented, examining the cape with curiosity. “It feels very…what’s the word…you?” I laughed at Cragger’s confusion of words.
“Thanks Cragger,” I responded with a smile. “I had to get some help from Eris on my outfit though. She also knows about us by the way” I looked down at the floor, “Sorry for telling her.”
“It’s fine Laval honestly.” Cragger grabbed my hand and I became flustered again, “She would’ve caught on sooner or later. Plus like I said a couple of months back before you came out to Lavertus, I don’t care what people think seeing us together.” I smiled at him, the genuine care in his voice was cute. “So what do we do on a date?”
“Hm..” I thought for a moment, “I actually don’t know. This isn’t exactly the fanciest first date area. Plus this is completely different to the dates me and Li’ella went on.” I could tell Cragger was thinking for a moment.
“Well, why don’t we do what we normally do?” Cragger responded, “Why don’t we play-fight?”
“Oh you're on!” I jumped back and soon me and Cragger were play-fighting at forever rock. Cragger’s moves were somewhat easy to dodge however they were much more improved upon since the last time we did this. However I came out victorious, and Cragger was on the floor. “Ahaha! I win mudlover!”
“Think again furboy!” Cragger jokingly shouted, tripping me up with his tail. I found myself laughing with Cragger joining in.
“How about we call it a tie then?” I asked while still laughing.
“Agreed.” Cragger responded, we both stared up at the sky. Smiling as we did so, I shuffled myself closer to Cragger and we both laid there cuddling for a while. It just felt nice to hangout with each other.
“Not much has changed has it?” I asked Cragger, looking at him.
“Hm?” Cragger took a second to register what I had just said, “Yeah I think I have to agree. We’ve just done what we’ve always done.”
“Yeah, but there’s now a lot more romance stuff.” I said with a smirk.
“Romance stuff?” Cragger looked at me confused.
“Yeah like this.” I pecked Cragger on the lips and when I pulled away we both became all flustered, both of us going red.
“Ohhh so that type of stuff?” Cragger jokingly asked.
“Yeah.” I responded with a smirk, we both moved and laid by the rock with all the points on them. I rested my head on Cragger’s shoulder and hummed, “Would you like to kiss more often?”
“Yeah.” Cragger responded. We both looked at eachother, then we both kissed again. Similar to what we did a couple of months back in my room but now sitting on the floor at one of my favourite places in all of Chima. Once both of us had pulled away we just looked at eachother then began giggling, I felt safe. I felt reassured. I felt in-love. All because of this goofy mudlover. I looked up at the sky as the sun was setting and we both sat there watching it set.
“Hey Cragger.” I muttered, “Want to have a sleepover at the lion temple tonight?” I saw his mouth grin from ear to ear. Well one side to another in this case.
“Of-course Laval!” He shouted, jumping up at the prospect. We both raced to our speedorz back to the lion temple and parked them just outside the temple. By the time we got back to the temple it was late with only guards out at this time, me and cragger walked past the lions and snuck up to my room. I smiled at Cragger as we both climbed into my bed and began cuddling. The rhythmic beating of his heart filled my ears as I rested my head on his chest we also
occasionally traded kisses on each other’s cheeks. I could feel myself gradually fall asleep as I murmured the words “I love you Cragger.”
“I love you too Laval.” We both fell asleep, I felt confident that he’d always be by my side. No matter what happens, he’ll be there for me for all my ups and downs.

Epilogue 2->
What I basically did for the epilogues was split them up into an Halcyontale side and a LOC side. I decided to do the LOC side first since I had an acc idea for what I wanted to do for it, so this is just Laval going on a date with Cragger (+Eris popping off with the third wheel role). It's just a sweet sweet epilogue which makes up for how short the second one is.

A Web of Wood
Tumblr media
“This place is crazy," said Gorzan as the group walked down a shadowy jungle path. "I've never seen plants like this before."
"Well, it gives me the creeps," said Worriz. "In case you didn't notice, we're boxed in on every side. We couldn't get off this road if we wanted to."
Worriz was right. Thick tangles of vines surrounded the warriors with broad leaves and dozens of long, sharp thorns on each strand.
The only one who seemed to be enjoying this part of the journey was Rogon's Rhinoceros Legend Beast. He happily trudged along, sniffing leaves as they went.
The friends had saved the Rhinoceros Legend Beast from the Outland Tribes a few days before. Now, the Beast was joining them on their journey. As the heroes continued through the jungle, the great Rhino discovered that the green leaves on the vines tasted really good. So he kept lagging behind to munch on them.
Suddenly, Eris swooped down from above. She had been scouting the path ahead for danger. "Oh, Laval, we've got trouble!" she called.
"What now?" groaned Cragger. "Bats? Scorpions? Pits of flame? Toxic mud creatures forty feet high?"
"I think you have to see it to believe it," said Eris. "Go around the bend. You can't miss it."
Laval and the group did as she said. When they rounded the corner, they stopped and stared. A few of them rubbed their eyes to make sure they weren't seeing things.
Looming in front of them was an enormous Spider Web unlike anything they had ever seen. It was as wide as the jungle path and rose at least sixty feet into the air. But it wasn't made out of Spider silk-it was made out of wood!
The Spiders had meticulously constructed the towering web out of thick tree trunks, locking them together to form an impassable blockade.
Tumblr media
"It's a barrier," said Laval, "and I'm not sure how we can get through it."
"Why go through when we can go over?" asked Razar.
"He's right," said Eris. "Razar and I can fly above it. Maybe together we can carry the rest of you, one by one." Laval took a few steps back and peered up at the web.
Yes, it wasn't so high that the Eagle and Raven couldn't make it over. The top part did look kind of strange, though.
In the upper sections of the web, there were rows and rows of smaller tree limbs with sharpened ends. All of them were lined up so that their points faced the sky.
"What do you think, Worriz?" asked Laval.
The Wolf frowned. He didn't know much about Spiders or their webs, but he did know a lot about traps. This thing gave him a bad feeling.
"I think it can't be that easy," Worriz replied. "But if those two want to try it, let 'em. I don't have any better ideas."
Laval looked at Eris and nodded once. She immediately shot up into the sky, soaring toward the top of the web.
Just as she started to pass over it, one of the sharpened tree limbs shot out at her! Eris screeched in surprise and just barely managed to dodge it.
A second one grazed her wing and almost knocked her out of the sky. Shaken, she flew back to the ground.
Tumblr media
"Wow," Eris said, shaking her head. "That thing is dangerous!"
Bladvic the Bear opened his sleepy eyes. "Knock it down," he said through a yawn.
"Right, and how do we do that without bringing it down on our heads?" asked Laval.
But the Bear had fallen back to sleep again. Laval didn't bother to wake him. The answer was obvious:
There was no way to bring the web down without risking everyone being crushed. Even trying to carefully take it apart would be risky-one wrong move and the whole thing could crash to the ground.
"Maybe we could dig a tunnel and go underneath it?" suggested Eris.
"It would have to be an awfully huge tunnel," said Cragger. "Rogon's Legend Beast isn't exactly slim... and with the way he's eating those leaves, he's just going to get bigger."
"How about climbing it?" asked Gorzan. "I could go first, since I'm the best climber. Might be a groovy experience."
"Or your last," said Worriz. "What we need is someone who knows all about Spiders and their webs."
"Ha! The thing is simplicity itself!"
Everybody turned around at once. The words had come from Rogon. His whole expression had changed from dull and friendly to confident and brilliant. His eyes gleamed and his mouth curled into a knowing smile.
"Oh, here we go again," sighed Worriz.
Ever since they had freed Rogon's Legend Beast, something odd had been happening. Whenever the Legend Beast got close to Rogon, the young Rhino suddenly went from not too bright to incredibly smart.
But if the Legend Beast wandered away, Rogon would go back to his old self.
"Hey, if he has an idea, I want to hear it," said Laval,
"An idea?" said Rogon. "Why, it's so easy a calf could figure it out."
"Great," said Worriz. "Let's find a calf and ask him, then."
Tumblr media
"No, let's give him a chance," said Laval. "Rogon, do you know a way to take the web apart?"
"Naturally," said Rogon. "You can take it apart quite easily... from the other side."
"Well, that's a lot of help," grumbled Worriz. "Got any more good news?"
Rogon chuckled. "Oh, my Wolfish friend, how amusing.
The answer to our problem is obvious to anyone who understands Spider methods of construction. It's all about safe strands, you see."
"Safe strands?" asked Cragger. "What are those?"
Rogon looked over his shoulder, then back at the Crocodile. "Um, I don't know. Is this a test? I didn't know we were having a test today."
"The Legend Beast wandered away again," growled Laval. "Somebody go get him back."
"I'll go," said Worriz.
The Wolf ran off. Most of the leaves near where the team was standing had been eaten, so Worriz guessed the Legend Beast had gone back down the path looking for any he had missed. Sure enough, that was where he found the great creature. It only took a little gentle persuasion to get him heading in the right direction.
Tumblr media
Once the Legend Beast was back with the group, Rogon's manner abruptly changed.
"Now, where was I? Oh, yes, safe strands ... When a Spider builds a web, he can't very well make it so that he himself will get stuck when walking on it, right?"
"That makes sense," agreed Laval.
"So, some strands are not sticky," explained Rogon. "They are safe for the Spider to walk on."
"Hey, I see it now," said Gorzan. "There must be some pieces of that web that are safe for us to climb on. Those are the ones the Spiders used when they were building it. If we can figure out which ones they are, we can make it through."
"What about the Legend Beast?" asked Eris. "He can't climb."
"Never fear, my avian ally," said Rogon. "I have ideas about that, too. But first..."
Rogon stood very still and stared at the web for a few minutes. Then he nodded. "Yes. Oh, how interesting, a fine piece of work indeed. There is a precise mathematical pattern to the placement of the pieces. Using that knowledge, I can safely chart our course through the web. Follow me!"
One by one, the travelers started to climb up the giant wooden structure. Rogon patiently led them, moving carefully from tree trunk to tree trunk. Everyone had been warned to do exactly what he did.
“A single misstep," Rogon reminded them, "and we will end up at the bottom of a very large woodpile."
They had made it about halfway through the web when Rogon stopped. "Hmmmm," he said.
"Hmmmm, what?" asked Laval. "Is that a good hmmmm or a bad hmmmm?"
"The pattern has been altered," said Rogon. "They changed something ... let me see ... oh, yes, I see it now, it's ... it's.."
"What?" Laval asked loudly.
"Wow, it's cool up here," Rogon answered. "But how do we get down?"
Tumblr media
Laval slapped a hand to his forehead. Cragger would have beaten his head against one of the tree trunks if he knew which ones were safe. Instead, Laval said, "Worriz. Legend Beast. Now."
Grumbling, the Wolf retraced his path and went to find the Legend Beast. Meanwhile, the wait had made Bladvic doze off again. His head started to droop, and he slumped against one of the pieces of the web. Eris spotted what was happening and lunged at him, struggling to lift his head off the tree trunk.
"He hit the wrong piece!" she shouted as the others nearby helped her prop up the Bear.
But it was too late. The web was already starting to teeter. High above, pieces were rocking with enough force to disconnect from one another.
"Let's go!" said Cragger. "What difference does it make how we get over now as long as we make it over?"
"Wait, there's still a chance, if Worriz brings back the Legend Beast," said Laval. "Hang on!"
They could see Worriz in the distance. But the huge Rhino behind him kept stopping to snack on the few leaves he could spot. Worriz looked back in frustration.
Too bad that web doesn't have leaves, the Wolf thought. Hey, wait a minute...
Moving as fast as he could, Worriz raced back and forth down the trail, gathering as many leaves as he could.
Once he had a large armful, he ran back toward the web.
Tumblr media
The Legend Beast picked up the scent of his new favorite food and followed.
By the time Worriz reached the web the Legend Beast was close enough for Rogon to become smart again.
"Drop the leaves and get up here," Razar yelled.
"He'll eat them all in a couple of seconds and wander off again," Worriz replied. "We need to keep him close to Rogon."
Arms full of leaves, Worriz somehow managed to climb back up to where he had been. Fortunately, being a Wolf, his nose was sensitive enough to follow the scent of his companions across the right pieces of the web.
"See? It's working!" said Worriz. "He's not wandering away!"
"Indeed," said Rogon. "But it is perhaps too successful of a plan. Look!"
Worriz glanced down. The hungry Legend Beast really wanted the leaves Worriz was carrying and was trying to climb the web himself!
"Go! Go! Go!" Laval yelled at Rogon.
Rogon climbed as fast as he could, his amazing brain able to spot every change in the pattern that the Spiders had built into the web. The others raced along behind him, being careful to step where he stepped even as the web shook all around them.
Tumblr media
"Success!" yelled Rogon as he made it safely over to the other side of the web. He climbed down about halfway and then jumped toward the ground, rolling for a long way before coming to a stop. Laval and the rest followed after him, but there was no time to celebrate.
The web was still in danger of collapsing on the Legend Beast.
"Rogon," said Laval, "we need to take this thing down! Can you do it?"
The Rhino nodded and said, "Yes, I see the key. There had to be a way the Spiders could dismantle this, and what they can do, we can do! But we'd better do it fast."
"I know!" cried Laval as one of the tree limbs tumbled off the web, crashing beside him. "Tell us what to do!"
Rogon explained, "Our resident masters of aviation must help us disassemble the ingenious contraption from an elevated level while we un-winged companions assist from our terrestrial positions."
The others looked at him in complete confusion.
"What?!" they cried together.
Rogon smiled. "The spikes at the top only point the other way. They are no longer a threat to our winged allies. Eris and Razar must fly up and drop us the logs one by one."
Quickly, the Eagle and Raven shot up into the sky. But on the other side, the Rhino Legend Beast was becoming very frustrated that he couldn't get to the leaves Worriz was holding. He started to grunt and snort, nudging at the web with his giant horn. The entire web teetered.
"He's going to collapse itl" cried Laval.
Razar called down to Worriz. "My friend, you must keep the Beast distracted while we do our part, or we are all doomed."
"He's right!" exclaimed Eris. "Worriz, run back and forth so the Legend Beast chases after you instead of trying to break through the web. That will give us time to take it apart."
"You want me to do what?" exclaimed Worriz. "Uggh. Fine. But just watch where you're dropping those logs. Remember, I'm the only thing keeping that Beast from bringing down the whole web on top of us all."
Grumbling loudly, Worriz began running back and forth on his side of the web. He held out the leaves in plain sight for the Legend Beast to see.
The plan worked. The Legend Beast chased after him to the right edge of the web ... then to the left... then back again. The ground trembled with its thundering footsteps. But at least it wasn't trying to collapse the web.
Swiftly, Razar and Eris dismantled the tottering contraption piece by piece from the top. Each time they pulled off a new log they would drop it down to their friends below. They followed Rogon's instructions exactly on which pieces to pull out next.
Soon, the heroes were surrounded by piles and piles of wood. But there was no more web.
The Legend Beast happily lumbered over the dismantled branches and began munching on the leaves Worriz was holding.
"That was a close one." Laval breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks, Rogon. Without you, we would have been goners."
Tumblr media
"Hey, what about me?" complained Worriz. "I was the one who got that Legend Beast close enough to keep Rogon smart, and I'm the one who distracted it while you took that giant web apart. Where's my thanks?"
Just then, the Legend Beast sniffed Worriz. The tasty scent of leaves still lingered on the Wolf's fur. The Legend Beast gave Worriz a great big lick.
"It seems you have your thanks, my friend," said Razar.
"Yeah." Laval chuckled. "As long as you smell like those leaves, that Legend Beast won't be wandering away from us anymore."
Worriz groaned as the Legend Beast licked him again. "Some thanks."
Everyone laughed.

Raised like a Phoenix- Chapter 6: Before we go
“So what now?” Vardy asked Sir Fangar as he paced around the table. Maula, Icebite, and Stealthor eagerly awaited his answer, as they all sat in what the lions had dubbed the map room. When Sir Fangar conquered the Temple as his own he had a few modifications to it, so they could map out where all the Hunters had settled and get rid of any trace of those pitiful tribes.
Removing the eyestain that was Mount. Cavora and replacing it with tiles replicating his saber tooth gate had brought him sadistic glee.
“Well… it's obvious that he has returned.” The Saber-tooth spat out.
“And how can we be so sure?” Stealthor said.
“Have you gone deaf? Of course he's come back to life! Did you not hear that roar?! No doubt that they will surely do the same for the others!”
“But each one of them is hidden away, to the point where we don’t even know where. How will they find them?” Maula mentioned.
Sir Fangar scoffed. “Perhaps it was not pure coincidence that the lion's body was discovered here. Surely it simply knew where its so-called home was and stayed put. If this is true for that lion then it should be true for the others.”
He slammed his fist down on the table, making the others jump.
“When they return to OUR territory, we will be ready! When they try to revive their final hope, we will shoot it down just as before!”
Icebite grinned sadistically, mumbling, “Hurt… shoot… kill… hurt…”
Vardy scooted his seat away from the terrifying bear.
“We shall make them feel our freeze! And they will feel it FOREVER!” The others cheered and Fangar shouted his signature war cry.
“So, here's the plan…”
-
Before they left for the swamp to find the first of the Firewings, before they left to find the others, before they went out on another adventure, Laval wanted to see his grave.
Li’Ella and Flinx guided him to the middle of town where the eight headstones dedicated to him and his friends were, offerings still placed around the area. Petals danced in the wind as the flower places began to wilt. The smell of freshly baked treats beginning to go sour. Candle wax was now leaking at the base, upon the concrete.
Laval walked up to his tombstone and read it out loud:
Time and time again, evil he foiled
Here we dedicate this rest to,
Laval the Loyal
So, unlike the plaque Sir Bucky had put up for him outside the temple. He turned to the other ones, reading each one out loud.
Never useless, though he may seem reckless
Howls in the heavens
Worriz the Ruthless
His kindness, his sweetness
Was infectious
Now rests
Gorzan the Generous
Rogon the Eager
Now breaks rocks among the stars
May they fire like comets and go far
Awoken from a peaceful dream
He returns to another
Now sleeps eternal
Bladvic the Dreamer
Trinkets and treasure
Would never rust
Just like his legacy
Razar the Opportunist
A future she knew, brought forth the bold
With fire she flew
Now her story shall forever be told,
Eris the Oracle.
Family lost and found
He rests now with friends
Amongst the clouds
Cragger the Determined.
When he finished, he stood up and turned towards Li’Ella and Flinx with a skeptical face. The two looked at each other with worry, then at their revived friend.
Li’Ella wasn’t sure what reaction to expect from Laval. Perhaps sadness at seeing how each and every one of them was seen. Feeling the weight of expectations crushing him all over again. Maybe he’d want to put an offering for the others just in case…
No!
Don’t think about it!
They’ll be fine. They will all be fine!
“This suck.”
Li’Ella blinked as she was snapped out of her train of thought.
“Wha?” Flinx said, with a slight chuckle in his voice.
Laval began to laugh. “Yeah, I don’t know. What's with all the titles and stuff? It’s so serious. Ha, ha! I mean, “Laval the Loyal.” Ooooh. Better take him seriously. Ha, ha, ha!” His laughter was contagious as the lioness and the young phoenix broke out laughing as well.
It was a little ridiculous, but at least the thought-to-be long gone lion could get a chuckle out of it. When the laughter died down, Laval gave them a smile as bright as the sun. He turned towards Li’Ella.
“Now let's go save our friends!”

Can't decide if rogon and rinona have actual rhino parents or if they're just orphans that got adopted by goat guy cause right now all i can think about is goat dad

I stole this headcanon from @sweetheart-weeb-33 thanks bestie <3
Worriz lives in a foster home with a lot of other pups and their mom
He's just an edgy teenager who pretends to not care about any of his siblings but actually does and love him for it
Tumblr media
Finally skinnet cause we love skinnet in this household
Since they're not the only one of their kind anymore they actually have a family now and that family is their granny
What happened to their parents? Idk they're probably hanging out with eris and lavals moms

Cragger: Time for plan G.
Laval: Don’t you mean plan B?
Cragger: No, we tried plan B a long time ago. I had to skip over plan C due to technical difficulties.
Eris: What about plan D?
Cragger: Plan D was that desperate disguise attempt half an hour ago.
Bladvic: What about plan E?
Cragger: I’m hoping not to use it. Laval dies in plan E.
Crooler: I like plan E.

Chapter 12: Theory talk and bonding with family.
"Laval…Please be a good king.."
"NO DAD DON'T GO!" I felt as if my shouting was effortless. I looked around me, I was in an empty void, darkness surrounded me and I couldn’t hear anyone… I looked back down at my dad..
"Please.. for the love of chima.." "Never stop being you… the you that…makes me proud."
No… Not this, Dad please… I still need you… Please don’t go, you have so much to live for!
I watched as his eyes closed, no…nonono-
DAD! PLEASE, DON’T GO! CHIMA STILL NEEDS YOU! I STILL NEED YOU!
“DAD!” I jolted upright and looked around, it was about nighttime. I looked at Cragger, he shifted on the bed then turned to me drowsily.
“Did you have a nightmare?” He muttered, looking at me. I nodded, close to tears at this point. He sat upright and opened up his arms, “C’mere…” I fell into his arms as Cragger wrapped them around me. I silently wept in his arms, Cragger tightly hugged me while I was doing so.
“I’m so sorry…” I said, almost as if my mouth had a mind of it’s own “I’m so sorry for acting like this…”
“It’s fine Laval, really it is…” Cragger muttered, stroking my mane, “It’s alright to feel like this… Especially after the day you’ve had you need rest..” I looked up at him, my eyes were still leaking tears.
“But I don’t know what to do alone..” I muttered, “I still have so much to do… I’m not ready to be king of the Lion Tribe, especially after what happened with the hunters..”
“You're not alone though.” Cragger muttered, “You have Eris, Lavertus, all our other friends. Heck I’ve been through these exact same feelings as you.”
“Including the nightmares…?” I stuttered.
“Including the nightmares.” Cragger responded, “It took me what 10 months to stop having them every single night? And I still have them from time to time. I still sometimes see my parents fall down that gorge, yet I know they’re not real because I have my friends to support me.” I looked at Cragger, who smiled at me. “C’mon Laval, We’ll have a busy day tomorrow. Especially you.” I smiled a tiny bit.
“Yeah…yeah..” I muttered, I snuggled up to Cragger’s chest and closed my eyes. I felt Cragger kiss my forehead.
“Rest well..” Cragger yawned, “We have a long day ahead of us..” We both laid back down as I fell asleep… As long as Cragger’s by my side I’ll be alright…
I woke up the next morning with somewhat of a recollection of the previous night, I sat up in my bed and looked at Cragger who was already awake.
“Morning Laval.” Cragger said looking at me, “Lavertus has gone out to the outlands, he said something about a gut feeling.” Cragger sat next to me.
“Ah I see..” I muttered, I looked down.
“Sho also needs to see us. He says he has an idea that he’s been working all night on.” Cragger mentioned, turning next to me. “Are you feeling better after last night?”
“Kinda…” I replied, looking at Cragger. “Thanks for being there Cragger, I really appreciate it.” This was weirdly romantic, I thought to myself. I lent in and pecked his cheek. When I pulled away I saw Cragger blushing immensely, his tail began to wag quickly. I chuckled a tiny bit.. This made me feel somewhat better about everything at the moment.
“Y-your welcome Laval.” Cragger said, standing up in the process. He tried to compose himself, but somewhat failed as his tail was still wagging just at a slower pace. “C’mon, you gotta get ready. Sho’s waiting for us both.” I got ready for the day and headed outside where Cragger was waiting. We both headed down to the throne room and found Sho and Eris there. Worriz, Gorzan, Rogon, Razar and Bladvic were also there but in their own little groups. Sho had a table set out where we all took our seats. I noticed an unoccupied seat, I guess that’s for Lavertus when he returns. I concluded, I sat next to Cragger and he held my hand underneath the table.
“Took you two long enough.” Worriz muttered, “What took you both anyways?”
“We both overslept.” I replied looking at him, “Bad night that’s all.” I turned to Sho “How are you holding up after yesterday?”
“Other than the fact that my best friend tried murdering me, yeah I’m fine.” Sho said in a sarcastic tone, “Still…processing stuff out.. Anyways! Are we missing anyone?”
“No we aren’t dude.” Gorzan replied, “Everyone who is somewhat needed is here.”
“Okay so!” Sho clapped his hands loudly “I’m sure you’ve all heard what happened yesterday…” I looked down, I didn’t want to think about it… Cragger clutched my hand tightly and I lifted my head to look at him. I looked back at Sho. “And after it all, a miracle happened. My family was able to call me and they are working on a way to get me and Asriel home. But as you can see we are missing Asriel..” Sho looked around, almost hoping Asriel would be there. “And I have somewhat of an formulated idea, It’s based around the persuader plants. From what I’ve gathered from Cragger and from my own conclusions, these plants are what give Crooler power. Since most rational people won’t listen to her, she needs these to progress with her plans.” Sho looked at Cragger “Although it won’t sever the link, if we destroy the growth she won’t have any plants to manipulate Asriel with.”
“But then there’s the issue of where she is.” Eris stated, standing up in the process “She wasn’t seen for what, two years? Then suddenly reappears like it’s nothing.”
“That’s more theory work…” Sho muttered, “However, Lavertus does think she’s made a home in the outlands. And he’s gone there to investigate, he also seems to think that what I saw and the missing lions are somewhat related.” Related? I mean that would make sense… I concluded, looking back up at Sho. “However..” Sho took a seat, he looked disappointed in himself too, “I don’t have an exact plan… I’ve got a baseline but not individual steps, I’m guessing we’ll figure that out once Lavertus returns.. So! Any questions.”
“Just one dude..” Gorzan stood up “How do we know exactly that Crooler is in the outlands?” Everyone whispered to themselves, curious as to how Sho would answer.
“Well from what I’ve heard from Lavertus, Nobody goes there really. Unless it’s dire then that’s to be expected.” Sho responded bluntly “So it’d make a perfect place to hide and regain power. Any other questions..?” There was a slight murmur for a moment. “No.” Worriz growled, “No there isn’t.”
“Peachy!” Sho responded with a grin which looked like it was faked, “You all can go back to your little groups while we wait.” Sho stood up and walked away, probably gone away to think. Eris walked up to me and Cragger.
“Laval, can I ask your opinion on this?” I turned to Eris, placing both of my hands on the chair.
“Sure what can I do for ya?” She handed me her journal I had gotten for her a while ago, curiously I opened it’s contents to find that she'd written a page about what had happened yesterday. Dated two days before me and Cragger returned to Chima, I read the contents:
I had a weird dream… And I mean REALLY WEIRD! I thought the dreams of fire only involved those I knew but…Those two kids I don’t think I’ve seen their tribe (If they have one) around chima.
The dream took place by the gorge and I saw these two kids arguing. I assume one of them took chi and the other was trying to persuade him to put it back. Then I heard this third voice… It sounded familiar but it was obscured, then my vision was clouded with red of which I presumed was blood… Whoever this brown-haired… thing is, I’m worried for his safety.
I looked at Eris, she seemed to look somewhat more nervous than before.
“Do I show this to Sho?” She asked, looking at me for answers. I thought for a moment, then came to one answer.
“Well, we do need all our cards on the table. I say you should.” Eris nodded and walked up to Sho, proceeding to show him the contents of the Journal. From what I saw, Sho reacted alright from the looks of it. Patting Eris on the shoulder.. But what I had just said did stick with me, Well we do need all our cards on the table…” I looked outside then back at Cragger, then I thought about something I said the night previous “And there’s so much…so much I didn’t get to say. He doesn't know how much I need him… I didn’t even get the chance to tell him about us..” I tapped Cragger’s shoulder, “Cragger can we talk in private really quickly?”
“Oh sure.” Cragger responded, we both stood up and quietly snuck away to my room. This discussion was private afterall. The amount of times we’ve both come in here together in the past couple of days is baffling. I thought, I looked at Cragger. “What’s up Laval?”
“Would you be alright if I told Lavertus about us?” I asked, “I’m sorry if this has come of so sudden but-”
“Yeah I’m cool with it.” Cragger responded quickly, “I kinda caught on that you'd want to tell Lagravis, especially after what happened yesterday.. And I think telling Lavertus may help..” I looked at him sympathetically. “Plus I honestly don’t care what people think seeing us together.”
“Heh…Thanks Mudlover.” I said.
“Your welcome furboy.” Cragger responded, we both embraced. We both looked at eachother and I don’t know why our minds must’ve been thinking the same thing. Cragger put his arms around my waist and we both kissed each other, and it wasn’t like a little peck on the cheek or mouth. I mean full-on kiss, lovers must have similar thought tracks I concluded. Cragger's tail was wagging like crazy and honestly I was filled with serotonin. Soon we stopped kissing and unembraced. We both looked at each other and smiled. “I liked that.” Cragger responded with a grin, “Guess it’s a perk of having a boyfriend.”
“Yeah but it’s a bit of a weird moment to have our first kiss or something.” I inquired looking around, “I think that would’ve been done better on a first date or something..”
“I don’t mind. I think it’s perfect.” Cragger said, booping my nose with his tail. We both laughed, we both turned to the door and we both saw Sho standing there who looked shocked.
“I-I came to see if you both were alright.” Sho muttered, “Because Laval seemed a bit upset during the meeting..”
“I’m alright now.” I said, glancing at Cragger. “How much of that did you see, might I add?”
“Well… I caught up with you both and I saw Cragger put his arms on your waist Laval. This is why you need to shut doors” Sho said in a joking tone. I'd laugh whilst Cragger began getting flustered.
“Oh right.” Cragger responded looking slightly embarrassed, “Anyways let’s get back downstairs people they’ll be wondering where us three had gone.”
“Yeah let’s go.” I responded walking downstairs, I saw Sho nudge Cragger and give him a thumbs up.
We all spent most of the day waiting for Lavertus to return, I occasionally looked over at Sho to make sure he was doing alright. All he really did was talk to Gorzan and Eris, probably about ideas on how to save Asriel. I looked at Cragger nervously, I didn’t exactly know how I was going to come out to Lavertus. I guess I just have to say it and be done with it, I concluded . Soon however, he did return and we all gathered back around the table.
“So Lavertus!” Sho looked at my uncle, “Did you find anything interesting?” We all looked at him and he sighed.
“Yes. And it wasn’t pretty.” Lavertus responded, standing up “When I went on my expedition, I honestly wasn’t expecting to be right. But while I was out I noticed an artificial base of operations, I peeked about for a moment and…” Lavertus took a deep breath “I saw what looked to be a mini tribe, a couple of ravens and wolves to boot.” We all muttered to ourselves, A mini tribe?! “I heard some yelling but I could only make out a few words… something about ‘prisoners’.” We muttered again, They must be the missing lions from the lion tribe I concluded. “I didn’t stay around for long, I wasn’t really in the mood to get caught.” We all sat there in silence, Sho didn’t even say anything. “However I will say this, they looked like they were preparing something..” I stood up and sighed.
“So, we should be expecting a fight..” I asked Lavertus, looking at him.
“If worse comes of it, yes.” Lavertus responded, sitting back down.
“Right, well.” I sighed looking around, Alright time to try and be responsible.. “Could everyone try to alert their tribes about the possibility of fighting?” They all nodded “Also, Razar and Worriz could you count the members in your tribe? We need to know exactly which members are missing.”
“Consider it done my good friend.” Razar responded looking at me.
“Sure, but I don't know if it'll do much.” Worriz growled, looking outside “If there were members of our tribe missing we would’ve noticed by now.”
“But what if they were keeping it a secret?” Sho muttered looking at Worriz, “Of-course Crooler’s thought process is unacceptable in Chima’s beliefs but there would be people that ya know. Agreed with her.”
“Yeah but-” Worriz was interrupted by Sho.
“Listen to me for two minutes. They wouldn’t have said anything because they knew they would have been reprimanded for it.” Sho looked at us all, “So I say prepare for the worst.” We all glanced at each other, I sighed.
“Right…Right, well I think that concluded everything” I said looking around. They all began to get up and leave saying goodbye in the process, They did need to urgently warn their tribes. I concluded, I looked at Lavertus then back at Cragger who nodded at me. Alright now or never. I walked up to Lavertus, “Could we talk about something?” I asked him, I could feel my heart beginning to race slightly.
“Oh sure. What’s up Laval?” He asked, looking at me. I glanced around, the only animals here were me,Lavertus and Cragger. Sho had wandered off somewhere, probably gone to think. So it’s us three…
“Alright so…You know how last year me and Li’ella split up?” I asked him.
“Yeah, you were pretty devastated. Even though you both agreed it was for the better and stayed friends.” He said with a gentle smile, “Why are you bringing it up now might I ask?” I took a deep breath, I was shaking.
“Nothing much, It’s just that I’ve begun dating again.” I said, almost as if my voice was on autopilot.
“Wow! That’s amazing Laval!” Lavertus gasped looking at me, “Who is this lucky person?” I took one more deep breath, my voice began to trail off..
“I…I…” I heard some footsteps behind me and someone grasped my hand, I turned and saw Cragger. I took a deep breath and reassured myself, everything will be fine. “Cragger. He’s who I’m dating.” I looked at Lavertus who took a couple of seconds to realise what I had said, but when he did his eyes widened and he began to grin. “And I’m sorry for saying it at such a bad time, but I feel if I don’t tell you know and anything happens to you I’ll feel bad for the rest of my life and-” Lavertus ran up and hugged me.
“Laval, I’m so proud of you.” Lavertus said, “I get it, With Lagravis and all… I just didn’t exactly expect it to be Cragger.”
“No It’s fine really.” Cragger responded, “I still don’t believe I’m dating him myself sometimes..”
“Laval, I don’t want you to stop being you. Lagravis would’ve been so proud, even if he would be a little confused because let’s face it. He’s too old for stuff like this.” I chuckled at this joke even though it didn’t make sense as Lavertus was the older out of them both, We both stopped embracing and he looked at me. “I’ll let you know Laval that I honestly don’t care who anyone dates.”
“Thanks Lavertus.” I muttered looking at him, I felt kinda relieved.
“Plus, I think Cragger would make a good nephew-in-law.” Lavertus laughed, me and Cragger became flustered a tiny bit and laughed a little. “Anyways..” Lavertus stopped laughing for a moment, “Who else have you told about this?”
“Only Sho and Asriel.” Cragger responded, “Other than those two not anyone else.”
“Alright then my lips are sealed!” Lavertus responded, he made a motion where he zipped up his lips then threw the imaginary zip away, “I won’t tell a soul!”
“Thank you, Lavertus. We both appreciate it.” I said, “Now if you don’t mind I’m heading up to my room. Cragger, you need to go warn your tribe about Crooler.”
“Yeah I do, Cya tomorrow Furboy.” Cragger kissed my forehead and left, only me and Lavertus were left. There was just silence, although it wasn’t a bad silence. I turned for my room.
“Congratulations kid!” I heard Lavertus yell as I walked to my room. Once I had gotten to my room I closed my door and layed on my bed, and I had so many emotions running through me at this moment in time. I just felt somewhat relieved, Lavertus took it way better than I was expecting in all fairness. My thoughts soon turned to mine and Cragger’s kiss from earlier on in the day and I became all flustered, I did in fact like it. Cragger was right too, being around my friends was so helpful today. I think tomorrow will be a good day, even if the past couple of days have been rather terrible.. I closed my eyes and began to dream. Well I hope tomorrows better even though we are preparing for a fight…
____________________________________________________
I looked at the phone in front of me and shivered… Sho had just gotten off call and all I could do is stare hopelessly at the phone. I handed it back to Akemi and thought for a moment, Do I actually call Grillby and Sans? Sho did tell me to call them. I took my phone from my cellular and Dialed Grillby’s number. He soon picked up and proceeded to turn on the facetime feature.
“Hey Gaster, what’s up?” Grillby asked, his voice rang through my ears.
“Grillby… you and sans might want to sit down.” I began to explain the situation to them, answering any questions they may have. By the end of it, Grillby looked somewhat shocked and Sans looked dead serious.
“gaster, we’ll be over." Sans bluntly said, the video call cut and soon they both had used a shortcut to get over here. I looked at Grillby and Sans.
"I'm so sorry…" I Whispered, looking at them both. "I'm sorry this has happened.."
"It's fine, Gaster." Grillby responded, staring daggers at Unit B "none of this is your fault."
"Please don't pity me.." I responded, looking at them both "I couldn't protect Sho…" the room fell silent, I continued with my work. I looked over at Sans and Grillby and they decided to question the units even though I couldn’t really hear what they were saying although a little while into the conversation Unit B did give a terrified look. Soon they both sat down with Toriel and Asgore and they just talked with them for a while. I looked at them all with an apologetic look, I honestly didn’t know what to do. The units are rebuilding the machine and Akemi will be back at school tomorrow, which will surely bring a stir as the disappearances of Sho and Asriel will bring attention. I sighed, all I could really do was hope that Sho will be able to stop this ‘crooler’ person from manipulating Asriel at this point in time..
<- Previous Chapter
Next chapter ->
Okay sooooo... this is my favourite chapter and I dunno why. I just feel like everything worked really well for this chapter. Like chapters 4 and 5, I foreshadowed in chapter 10 that Laval was going to get a chapter in his perspective similarly to how Cragger got his. Having a short moment in his POV before we went back to Sho's. Plus I wanted to show his inner-turmoil. Aside from Sho (who Lagravis literally saved so he has survivors guilt), Laval is probably the most effected by what happened with Lagravis. I mean it was his dad that was put in a coma afterall. But like in the finale of S3 (which I hadn't watched at the time so it sorta goes to show how weird Laval's character is structured) he found support in his friends and he was able to focus on what he needed to do to save the day. Also I just really really like writing for Laval as I find him an interesting character to write for, a character whose kindness is not only his strongest attribute but also his fatal flaw. Giving villains too many chances at redemption when they clearly don't want it and in-turn causing more issues. I could go on for ages but I'm going to leave it here :P. Also I got to write a first-kiss which gives it a BIG + in my book.
