The extraction has been a success. Lady Ventress is now lounging in one of the passenger seats of the *Scimitar* behind me.

Positives: I was not held back by visions for the duration, the get away was clean, and the local authorities never did get the real registration codes for the ship, so if need be, I can return unmolested.

Negatives: There is now a sizable dent in the bloodfin. I cannot tell without taking the speeder partially apart if the damage is cosmetic or more severe. Time will tell.

Anyway this one’s about Special and Cowbell! It operates within my little headcanon that Special is Mary Goore who transformed themself into a ghoul (I had to give them a place in the general ghost lore, they live rent free in my brain and on my lockscreen). Cowbell is nonverbal and uses SSL (Swedish sign language) to communicate.

Basically Imperator is a huge asshole about Bell’s communication style and Bell climbs up to the roof of the chapel to mope. Spec tracks him down, comforts him, and lures him down with the promise of snacks and a warm(ish) body to cuddle with.

Snippet be upon ye:

Special was frustrated and a little concerned.

They’d looked for Bell everywhere. His usual nap spots, the gardens, the lake. They’d even sniffed around the edge of the forest to see if Bell had wandered off to have some feral alone time. No luck.

Spec paced in an empty hallway, the only indication of their agitation their flicking tail. They cursed the Unholy Father for not at least giving them the mind-link that the other ghouls seemed to be able to do. They could’ve found their friend a lot quicker that way.

“Fuck. Where else…” Spec muttered, tapping the side of their mask with one claw. A Sibling rounded the corner at the end of the hall, spotted Special, and turned around with an alarmed squeak of “sorry!”

Spec watched them hurry off with a frustrated sigh. They usually didn’t mind that the humans were freaked out by them. Hell, they even encouraged it. But it was a little inconvenient when they were looking for help.

Critical Role put out this great adventure right, Call of the Netherdeep, we've all heard about it by now played it by now blah blah blah.

And they put out miniatures like a whole little line of them that I bought at my local game store cool cool cool

Soooo where are the Netherdeep minis?!

These are not your everyday monsters people!! Like:

Best I got is the brain bug from starship troopers 😔 and now I got this vagina face monster I just know my players are gonna giggle at all night. The struggle is real Mathew Mercer.

Why is all realm would you write this gorgeous adventure with all these great custom aquatic monsters and not put out a line of Netherdeep minis.

You know what I don't need, half a dozen boxes of extra bs NPCs or random monsters

No one needs this, it's so random and pointless and I hate it 😵‍💫😤

Where are the Sorrow Fish, Deaths Embrace, Light Devourers, and Slithering Bloodfins?! Ruidium corrupted Sharks?!? Hello?? And Wizards of the Cost you suck too nearly every other campaign book got exclusive or named miniatures printed! Where are the Natherdeep ones?! I cannot be the only one screaming about this!

And you know I thought being a CR fan that one they must not have out out minis because of maybe spoilers that would happen for campaign 3 but that's clearly not the case at this point!

i have a fish question! i've heard that fish that appear to not have any organs are deep ocean fish, but i saw them in my local zoo as well. do transparent fish live both in deep and shallow waters? what conditions do they need?

Yes indeed, transparent fish exist both in deep water and shallow water! Some shallow water transparent fish that come to mind are the glass fish, Parambassis ranga, and glass bloodfin tetra, Prionobrama filigera! If you are asking what sorts of conditions transparent fish need to become transparent, I’m not sure if there’s an answer that will encompass both deepwater and shallow water fish! However, if I had to guess, as deepwater fish live in darkness they don’t need any pigment at all, hence their transparency — meanwhile shallow water fish live in areas with actual visibility and therefore need to camouflage, and, well, what would be better as camouflage than literally being mostly transparent? Perhaps there are other reasons, which I’d like to hear if someone knows!

prompt #3: technology

maul has no particular attachment to any technology. he doesn't view droids as sentient beings. he doesn't get emotionally attached to them. they talk, they lie, they hurt. he had thought one to be a friend he desperately wanted when he was young, only to - in his eyes - be betrayed by them. he felt nothing when sidious decided to destroy that droid.

after that, he doesn't think much of anything about droids other than mild dislike.

he does enjoy tinkering with ships and speeders. can also perfectly fix droids he destroys while training. and despite feeling very little for these things, he names them all. speeder: bloodfin. ship: scimitar. training droids: rapier, chain, cudgel and hachete. he doesn't think anything of them, he doesn't even like them, but he thinks they're worthy of something that he isn't: a name.

Sooo i asked who yall wanted to see next and @the-moon-in-the-gutter asked for our gorgeous darling Cumulus, so here she is with phantom. I know it’s not technically a kissy but the reference pic jumped at me as i was scrolling pinterest (whilst tryna find a ref for @bloodfin’s suggestion of swissy kissies ���) and i couldn’t ignore it so here we are!

Next up WILL be mr. Swisstopher as suggested (ty @bloodfin!!!) however he is Fighting my attempts to design him so pls bear with me 🤭🫶
