What has you so distraught on a beautiful day like this?" He paused for a moment before asking, "could it possibly have something to do with Basil?"  Anna averted her eyes.  "Aha...so it is a lover's quarrel. Not to worry, I'm sure everything will straighten itself out."  "No, I don't think it will this time," Anna said quietly, her voice breaking a little. "He...wants to cancel our engagement."  There was a moment of silence before she felt hands gently grip her shoulders from behind and she heard William say softly, "oh, you poor sweet dove. You poor dear broken heart. How absolutely dreadful for you." His voice was sincere and sympathetic and he squeezed her shoulders slightly. She did not see how his eyes seemed to light up at the news -as if he was delighted with her pain. "You gave up your life as a human for him only to be thrown aside. I wish that I could say that I did not see this coming."  "What do you mean?" Confused, Anna turned her head to look up at William's smiling face. 

He shrugged and sighed. "Milady, Basil of Baker Street is a renowned bachelor whose priority has always lied within his career as a detective. A man like that can only be married to his work. To his passions and ambitions. Can a free spirit like him ever bear the thought of being tied down by matrimony, even if it's to someone as unique... as out of this world as you?

▾ These are mostly speculation, but I just wanted to bring them up ▾

1.) A Howling Void

Bill likes to deny this one but it’s made clear that they did date at one point

2.) Stanford Pines

This one is pretty self explanatory

3.) Bloody Mary

Bill doesn’t explicitly state what sort of relationship he had with her, but his wording & wanting to reconnect suggests they might have been more than friends..?

4.) Your Mom 💀

Bill implies that he both banged the Reader’s Mom and was in love with her. This is most likely just a joke / Bill’s way of toying with the Reader 😂

5.) Jheselbraum the Unswerving (The Oracle)

When Ford met her in Journal 3, she was implied to have a terrible grudge against Bill. However, according to The Book of Bill, she used to at least be one of his Henchmaniacs. It is unclear what caused her to hate him since then. There is not really any solid evidence that she is his ex, but I suppose it is a possibility, so I still felt the need to include it

6.) The Reader?

Honestly, this is probably a reach, so I’m just going to leave this up to interpretation

I'm curious has William or bloody Bill encountered the nepolan of crime professor ratigan? And if so, do they have a criminal like friendship or partnership? Or do they leave each other to their own devises?

No, William and Ratigan have never met nor have they ever interacted. However William was present at the Buckingham Palace during the Diamond Jubilee when Ratigan tried to take over (he is a noble aristocrat after all).
