[Kick open your bedroom door]
You DARE say I never saw the first incredibles? A plague to all your kin!
Oh right right, I was a college town born zoomer.
Also as I get more into comics, the Parrs family is so….unique among superhero families
Most superhero families: Wait you guys are a superhero family that talk out each other issues and still love each other without getting at each throats?
Parr: Yes
Comic writers: SEIZE THEN PURGE THE HERETICS
Yes yes I understand drama, but lord’s know how many times I want to strangle Batman especially in 2010’s stuff with how his main writers treats his family as afterthought
But I remember the scene, the dull boring life Bob tried to do
Fun fact Bob boss was model after Katzenburg, a lot of people point out Lord Farquad model. But oh boy the bts of the Disney renaissance was nasty.
I heard Katzeburg basically rushed to be the next ceo after the previous one died in a helicopter crash
Oh and he went behind Robin Williams back and using his name in advertisement for Aladdin. Which explains Dreamworks overuse celebrities in the 2000’s
Yes Walt Disney animation use celebrities too, but they..usually know how to merge them with the characters. Ie The rock with Maui and most famously the genie.
Sorry for the rant
Actually I could use Pixar too but most of the celebrities they get fit their roles well
I was going with the "royal zoomers" nobody specific.
Pixar did really good with the Parr's, they do families really good honestly made and found both, Bugs Life and Toy Story are great found family stories.
Nemo can go either way, but fathers devotion is good there.
My brain read the Katzenburg bit wrong, Eisner made a good move bringing him in, I thought you were saying he was Disney CEO caught me off guard because none of them died in plane crashes.
IIRC the CEO before Eisner was Walt's son in law.
Thing with Aladdin was a mess for sure tho, couldn't get Robin Williams back for the sequels, which I'm ok with since Walt hated sequels, felt like standing in place to him and he wanted to keep pushing forward.
Love him or hate him you gotta admit he's responsible for some great memories from many of our childhoods.
And again with Pixar, ya they good at that.

Task Eleven → Intro & Connections
Violet Parr
Character Information*
The Basics*
FULL NAME: violet parr
NICKNAME: vi
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
AGE: twenty-seven
OCCUPATION: stylist and designer for edna mode
FACECLAIM: anya taylor-joy
ORIENTATION: straight
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: single
PETS: none
The Personality*
+ Protective, Perceptive, Curious - Short-Tempered, Sarcastic, Self-Conscious
violet is the eldest child of @robertpxrr and @helenpxrr and the sister to dash and jack-jack. unlike her brothers, violet is more reserved, uncertain, shy and socially withdrawn, who has a few self-esteem issues - preferring to leave the limelight to her brothers. Violets relationship with her brothers couldn’t be more different. dash and her clash more than anyone, her obvious frustration with him is his childish behaviour and constant teasing that grates on her nerves. whereas with jack-jack, things are more tame, and she finds she had more in common with her youngest brother. the parr siblings can be a rowdy bunch when they all fight, but violet is fiercely protective of her brothers and would risk it all for them. despite all their fights it’s a ‘ride or die’ mentality with the parrs.
she is someone that possesses a curious and experimental nature to life willing to explore the things she was once uncertain about. shyness was once something that plagued violets life but as she got older she gradually learned that it was okay to branch out and over time had found some confidence. she’s still self-conscious but with an aunt and boss like edna mode, it’s hard to blend into the background. violet has a sharp and observational sense of humor but when her temper flares her once witty tongue turns into a forked one.
Additional Notes*
has a strained relationship with her parents - more with her mum than her dad
black sheep of the family
was previously a gymnast but quit when she was a teenager due to her feeling self conscious about her body - she still trains in private but keeps this to herself
was previously bullied back when she was in school
works at haus mode - her aunts fashion company
Random Quirks*
painfully quiet when she’s walking around, she’s practically invisible
has an extreme coffee addiction, coffee is a good way to win her over
is NOT a morning person
Wanted Connections*
friends
best friend
ex’s
lover
neighbours
work colleagues
people she went to school with
people that used to be her bullies
people that know her family
Wanted Plots / Plot Ideas*
no capes - violet is given the task of designing muse b an outfit for an important event
bad boy/good girl - violet has lived a quiet life up until she met muse b, muse b takes her a walk on the wild side and violet learns that there’s more to life than being invisible
parents don’t approve - violet and muse b become close and her parents don’t approve of whatever is going on between them.
tony rydinger (doesn’t have to be this specific character) - violets long time crush finally notices her and they go on a date. a date becomes dates and things get serious. her dad gets too overprotective of her and ruins her relationship with muse b, causing muse b and her friendship to break down. violet is miserable and blames her dad. violet and muse b try to salvage what’s left of them and sneak around. they eventually get caught and it spirals from there.
Taken Connections*
mother - @helenpxrr - out of both parents, violet is the least close with her mum. violet feels like the outsider in her family and she feels like Helen doesn’t understand that. while her mum is always supportive of her and encouraged her in life, helen pushes her to be the mould she believes her daughter could be rather than who her daughter is. violet loves her mum dearly and respects her greatly, but there’s a gap there that they don’t quite know how to bridge.
father - @robertpxrr - while her mum pushes her, bob is happy to let violet do her own thing and at her own pace. he is fiercely protective over violet and can overstep his mark at times when looking out for her because he believes he’s doing what’s best for her. violet has more in common with her dad than she does with her mum. they bond over music and reading. it was bob that actually suggested Violets name when she was born. In preparation of her birth, he accidentally washed her pink baby blanket with a blue sock which resulted in the blanket coming out violet when the dye ran from the sock. he found it fitting that his daughter would make her own mark on the world before she even entered it.
uncle - @iceice-best - uncle lulu. lucius was and always will be uncle lulu in violets eyes. ever since she was a kid, she always called him it and happily listened to him while he would tell her all about meteorology. she takes on his advice whenever he offers it, and she always supports his bowling team whenever his team are playing.
previous school bullies - @ashley-armbruster @ashley-quinlan @ashleybxulet @itsashleytomassian @itsme-anastasia @notasweetnightingale
 Other*
One character from the open tag you would like to see taken / added to the Most Wanted page -  from the most wanted page - alberto scorfano & from the open tag to be added to the most wanted page - the parr brothers
One Character you want to see a bio for in relation to this specific character - tony rydinger!!!

The scene with Bob Parr and his boss is one of the most… intricate, layered, and realistic scenes I’ve ever seen in a film.
"We’re supposed to help people!"
"We’re supposed to be helping OUR PEOPLE!! Starting with our stockholders, Bob! Who’s helping them out?!"
Healthcare and insurance is unfortunately a business first. Despite being something that’s ultimately supposed to help people. His boss was mad at Bob for his customers exploiting the system intricately designed to exploit themselves.
He even said: "The law requires that I say no." When Bob asks, "Aren’t we supposed to help people?"
This may not be the best comparison, but even in the video game industry. Companies have to appease their investors and stockholders, even if it means creating greedy, soulless, and micro transaction infused products.
It’s… just… the amount of unjustness in our world appalls me. Not just in the United States, but everywhere.

Name: Robert "Bob" Parr Age: Forty-Six Occupation: Accountant <3 / Order Member / Superhero for Hire Powers: Super strength Sexuality: Heterosexual Pronouns: He/him Currently Playing: the entirety of the "dad grilling songs" playlist on spotify Big Three: Ok bob parr does not care about this and neither do i
Headcanons:
Bob Parr wasn’t called Mr. Incredible for no reason. Back in the day, he really was just that: incredible. He was the main super in Echo Isle, leading a crew of other superhumans to keep the city safe. It was the best time of his life: he was in the best shape, dating around with any woman he wanted, and had the best job in the world.
His pride got the best of him when he caused a catastrophe that led to superheroes being banned on the Isle. It was a huge train that was about to be run off the tracks, and Bob refused the help of his friends, claiming that he could stop the whole thing himself, but he’d underestimated the weight of the train. He’d successfully saved all the people on it, but an entire bridge collapsed, causing the destruction of a bunch of buildings. It was humiliating, and it caused the entire community of superheroes to have to go into hiding.
Bob met Helen when he was in "college", which was really just a four year excursion to become a frat boy, earn some easy degree, and go on with his life as a super. They met at one of his fraternity's parties, and Bob was pretty instantly in love. No other woman had challenged him the way she had--she wanted to get to know him for him, not Mr. Incredible. She accidentally figured him out as his alter-ego when she found a piece of his costume in his apartment, which was what led her to share her abilities with him. They were a match made in super heaven, and Bob didn't want to let her go. Even without her parents' permission, he proposed, and she accepted.
The accident happened right after they found out that Helen was pregnant. It was devastating, the way that he caused the destruction of his career and so many others, but it resulted in marrying Helen and having Violet, and he wouldn’t have changed that for the world. Once his superhero days were over, he began to focus on his family and doing what was best for them. Bob went to college, for real this time, and decided to study accounting, the only thing that would guarantee him a job after graduating.
Being stuck in a gray cubicle all day was definitely not what Bob had planned for himself, but it paid the bills for a while. One day, he just snapped, too prideful to admit that he’d made a mistake, and wound up punching his boss in the face, which got him immediately fired. Bob couldn’t tell Helen, though, that he’d lost his job; he was too embarrassed to admit it. Instead, Bob started taking side jobs doing private investigative work to make side money while he lied to Helen about keeping his job.
Bob is going to have to tell Helen the truth someday, but that would mean having to go back to an office job for the sake of his family, and he just isn’t ready to do that. What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her, and he’s making even more money doing private super work than he ever could as an accountant. It’s not the ideal way to make a living, but it’s the closest Bob has come to his glory days, and he hasn’t given up his dream of returning to Mr. Incredible just yet.
Bob did not want the Parrs to be associated with the Order, especially after they asked his wife to be involved first. He thought that being magical and being a superhuman were two very different things: superheroes didn't need protecting. But, as much as he tried to protest, Helen went for it, anyway, and Bob stayed back to start taking on more responsibility with Jack Jack after Violet and Dash got old enough to begin to take care of themselves. Bob eventually joined as a member once he saw how the organization could protect his children before they went off to college themselves.
It's technically illegal to be doing what he's doing with his PI work as an Order member, but what they don't know won't hurt them. He's kind of hired an investigator of his own, Kim Possible, to help him keep his secret from both his family and the Order.
It’s not that he isn’t close to Violet and Dash, but that he spent too much of their childhoods mourning what could have been with his career to be as present as he could for them. He's trying to make up for it now that he's happier than he has been in a long time given that he's doing what he loves again.

I have a big brained idea for Pixar Princesses basically they're counterparts for the Disney Princesses except they're slang for my OCs
Tw for Toxic Relationship//Abuse Undertones, serial killing, manipulation
Name: Aria Conelli
Movie: The Incredibles
Age: 20s/30s
Core Trait: Discernment
Backstory: The childhood best friend of Buddy Pines. She didn't have powers and often made her own inventions alongside with him. The two got along really well, until the Pines moved away to avoid shame after Buddy's reckless actions nearly gets her and him killed. Following the super ban there was a sharp rise in crime at her neighborhood. For several years she spent nights as a vigilante using inventions to fight off robbers and stalkers. However she gave it up after too many close calls with the police and Agency. She was hesitant to retire but aware she would be in some deep shit if she was caught. Sometime after college she was given a job offer to work on a tech start up located on a secluded island. She declined the invitation multiple times, but a private visit from Mirage convinces her to try out for the job.
At first Aria is intrigued by her potential new work environment. Even more she has no odea who her boss may be. A couple days later she was invited to a private dinner hosted by her boss the mysterious Syndrome. A part of her thought he looked familiar but she waved it off. Very soon she uncovers a few disturbing truths about the island, especially with the occasional Super stopping by one day and disappearing the next. Fed up with the constant secrecy she finds a way out the compound and stumbles upon a closed room. Curious she unlocks the door and has to bite back a scream as she finds the bodies of several Supers inside. Realizing the danger she's in she flees into tbe jungle. There she comes across two living Supers who looked way too young to be there: Violet and Dash. Aria tells them that her boss is cooking up something bad. She helps them find their parents. When they do Aria is told the truth and Mr. Incredible recognizes her. He informs her that her boss is in fact Buddy. Aria is confused. Her best friend? Syndrome arrives and captures the family but leaves Aria alone. He confirms that he is Buddy. He wanted her to see his accomplishments. That the both of them are better heroes than all the arrogant Supers of old. Aria is heartbroken by what became of her best friend, pointing out that his schemes have only made him more miserable and could even get himself killed. Angry, Syndrome has his guards locks her up in his quarters.
Aria sits in her room thinking about what transpired. By luck would have it she discovers she had a smaller invention on her that helps her break out. Once she does she regroups with the Parrs and hatch a plan to stop Buddy once and for all. Hitching a ride with help from Mirage they got to the city snd battle the robot. Aria helps evacuate any civilian she could find. The harsh battle seemed to last years but it was only in minutes as the Incredibles and Frozone finally take the metal behemoth down.
At the end Aria bids the family goodbye with the intent to find the loved ones of the Supers Syndrome has killed. She hopes to make amends, admitting that she feels guilty for not doing enough to bring her friend back from the darkness. Bob reassures her that there's no bad blood between them and sees her off.
This is the one oc x canon of mine that's a truly toxic relationship. Buddy/Syndrome is incredibly manipulative. He hides secrets from Aria and expects her to fall in line with everything he says and do. Even if it goes against her moral code. It's even implied he feels jealous of her skills and doesn't want her to outshine him. Buddy hopes to complete his dreams of being a Superhero by placing her as a damsel in distress. However he ignores her actual NEEDS. In the end his arrogant delusions lead to his downfall and Aria is left to pick up the pieces of what COULD have been.

ROBERT "BOB" PARR is forty-seven years old. He is an Insurance Broker. He is the humanized version of Bob Parr from the Disney film, The Incredibles.
+ Brave, Stoic, Committed - Frustrated, Distracted, Arrogant
ABOUT ROBERT
Robert Parr. Family man. He goes by Bob to most. Bob Parr is the father of three glorious, albeit wild children, and the doting husband to the ever remarkable Helen Parr. He's currently an insurance broker at the insurance firm based in Redwood Hollow, but hollow is how he feels. Bob feels no joy in his job, and the only saving grace of it is that he tries to help as many people as possible with legal loopholes. It's not much, but it's the only thing he can do to help people out. Prior to working in insurance, Bob lived out his glory days as a professional boxer, working his way up the ranks while working in security at gigs and bars to pay for his training, fights, and anything else that came with the job. Helen then came into his life, and his love for Helen outweighed his love of boxing. She was concerned about his fighting and with that Bob walked away happy with what he achieved in boxing. Bob left boxing and moved into the field of being a firefighter. And he was good, too. Hot even. He worked hard, earned his rankings and the respect of his co-workers. One evening they got a call to the station about a man threatening to jump. Bob took the call and then made his way on scene to talk to the man down. Failing to do so, the man jumped from the building and without thinking, Bob launched himself after him and set them both crashing through a window to safety. In Bob’s mind, a window was better than concrete. That was Bob’s argument when the lawsuit came. Bob saved a man's life and in return was sued. It left a bitter taste in his mouth and a level of frustration that even he didn’t now he had. Being a firefighter was something he loved. He was doing his civic duty of saving cats form trees, putting out fires and anything else it required him to do. While the fire department stood by him, they ultimately couldn’t save him when the mayor wanted the lawsuit to go away. So Bob Parr lost his job and no other department would take him thanks to the lawsuit hanging over his head.
On a big for a new start and a baby on the way with Helen, they relocated to Redwood Hollow. With being a firefighter out of the question, Bob took any job he could get for a steady income to support his family. Just for a few years, he said, when Violet was born. Just a few years, he said, when Dash was born. Just a few years, he said, when Jack-Jack was born. Next thing he knew, he’d been working in insurance for twenty-five years and hating every minute of it. He’s obviously committed to providing for his family, but he's frustrated, and he’s restless. He needs the get-up and go back since it got up and gone somewhere else for twenty-five years.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Husband to Helen Parr and father to Violet, Dash & Jack-Jack
On the local bowling team with Lucius
Hates his job as an Insurance Broker
CONNECTIONS
Helen Parr - Bob's wife. He loves her and is fiercely protective over her, even though they might butt heads over how to raise their kids and the life they want to live. Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack Parr - Bob's children. While they often all bicker (and quite explosively so) he loves them and will do anything to give them a safe, comfortable and protected life. Lucius Best - Bob's best friend. They've known each other for years, and now meet up weekly to go bowling together. Gilbert Huph - Bob's miserly boss. He has great disdain for the man, thinking he is more interested in bureaucracy than he is in helping people.
Robert is currently unavailable. His faceclaim is Timothy Olyphant.

It’s Not About You|The Incredibles Meta
So, has it been a long while since I’ve posted meta? ‘Cause seeing meta for  The Incredibles on my dash has awakened something.
Tumblr media
You remember back a few years ago when everyone was saying the movie -- whether intentionally or accidentally -- had an objectivist moral? That the secret message we were all expected to take away from the film was “if everyone is special, no one is”?
Some people have tried to refute the claim as well they should. It doesn’t really mesh with the actual events in the story -- how could a movie promoting ruthless self-interest involve so much altruism and heroism? But I haven’t yet seen anyone talk about what the movie is actually about, what it’s real values are.
So here I go a-doing that.
Tumblr media
**SPOILERS** For The Incredibles **SPOILERS**
One of my biggest pet peeves with the modern, mainstream movie-goer is the tendency to just accept everything every character says, including heinous villains with their heads up their asses, because it’s easier than putting two and two together by themselves. And when they get the wrong idea as a result, they blame the movie for being badly written or having a bad moral.
Some people used the sentiment, “If everyone is special, no one is” and “it’s in your blood” to build the case that Brad Bird wants your kids to be Ayn Rand, never stopping to consider the sources of this sentiment, it’s context, nor the consequences the movie presents for it.
The story begins with Bob Parr, aka Mr. Incredible, a well-meaning but egocentric superhero who literally runs around with a big “i” on his chest. (This movie isn’t subtle.)
Tumblr media
Despite claiming he’d like to settle down with a family, he makes it painfully clear to everyone that he doesn’t play well with others. He fights evil for the glory and makes decisions that affect other people completely on his own, on a whim, without a thought to the consequences.
But as he’s arguing with his fiancee (Elastigril, aka Helen Truax) for being very late to his own wedding, she says some theme-expressing words to him that no one writing a thinkpiece for Buzzfeed or whatever seems to remember:
“[...]If we’re going to make this work, you have to be more than Mr. Incredible. You know that, don’t you?”
Almost immediately afterward, we're shown an infuriating montage of the fall of “Supers,” forced to give up their crime-fighting due to a bunch of litigious jackasses finding out that you can totally sue a vigilante for saving your life.
Tumblr media
But that’s the operative word here, isn’t it? The one that never occurs to Bob when he’s tearing around town saving the day, or the audience as steam shoots out of our ears: vigilante. Bob assumes the rules shouldn’t apply to him because he’s special.
Cut to 15 years later and, weirdly, in a world full of comic book villains and supposedly Randian morals, the result of Supers being forced into hiding isn’t the world ending or being taken over by evil. It’s almost as if superheroes beget supervillains and not the other way around...
Anyway, when we see Bob again, he’s working a demeaning cubicle job denying insurance claims to sweet little old ladies. This naturally depresses Bob, but at least part of his dissatisfaction is frustration that he has to follow the rules instead of doing whatever he thinks is best.
Tumblr media
Then we move on to Dash, Bob’s pre-teen son. He has super speed and his father’s attitude problem, and he’s so resentful of his inability to show off that he uses his powers to hurt people instead of helping them.
Dash doesn’t believe that “everybody is special” because he has super speed and no one else does. The very idea that someone gifted like him is forced to follow the rules that everyone else has to follow and only have exactly as much as everyone else has seems unfair to him.
Later that day, when Helen tries to get Bob to care that Dash got in trouble, he isn’t even remotely interested until he finds out his son is so fast that his teacher couldn’t prove Dash abused him. And Bob is thrilled. He completely undermines Helen and then lies to his family so he can run off to fight crime for kicks with his old pal, Frozone aka Lucius Best.
Tumblr media
Listening to their police scanner, Lucius tries to talk Bob into going bowling with him instead. Vigilantism isn’t fun for him anymore and he’s worried it’s all going to catch up with them. Then they hear about a burning building and Bob can’t stop cheering. A fire nearby is just a chance to relive his glory days.
Meanwhile, Lucius is right. The villain, Syndrome, had been hunting and killing every Super he could find. Tracking Frozone that very night leads him to Mr. Incredible, who Syndrome hates with every fiber of his being. So let’s talk about him for a mo’.
Syndrome, aka Buddy, aka “Indrediboy,” used to be Mr. Incredible’s number one fan when he was a child, pestering him for autographs and attention until finally, he decides that he’s going to be his sidekick.
Tumblr media
Like Bob, Buddy is enamored with the glamour of being a Super but unlike him, he’s not interested in helping people. Worse, he actually prevents Bob from catching a bomber and almost gets himself blown up because of his massive ego. He’s like Bob but dialed to eleven.
After his hero tells him off and sends him home, Buddy loses his little mind and becomes a villain. Syndrome, the evil genius, the fake super, he plans to use technology to trick people into thinking he’s a super and his plan involves a whole bunch of murder.
The irony is, he could’ve had an amazing career as an inventor and even built tech for heroes but anything short of being “incredible” wasn’t enough for him.
Later, we’ll meet Syndrome’s opposite number, Edna Mode. She’s a regular human, no powers or anything, but her vast knowledge in the fields of science, engineering, and fashion design makes her the only designer Bob would trust with their super-suit. If the moral of this movie was “you’re only special if you’re born special,” Edna wouldn’t exist.
Tumblr media
Back to the plot: Bob loses his cool with his boss, an actually Randian little business turd who only cares about money and knowingly stops him from preventing a mugging. Bob is understandably disgusted, but does something that should be inexcusable for a hero: he uses his super strength to throw the tiny man through at least four walls, putting him in traction.
Bob is obviously fired and government agents have to come in and clean his mess up. Meanwhile, Syndrome sends his henchwoman to give Bob a message. Pretending to rep a tech company whose walking eye got uppity, she recruits him to fight it on a remote island in exchange for big bucks. Bob accepts the offer and proceeds to lie to his family about where he’s going every day...
Okay, maybe it’s because I’ve been up for twenty-two hours, but I’m getting tired of stating the obvious every way I can. Maybe I’ll make this a part one of two, but guys. Do we really need a part two?

Maybe this is a weird take, but I rewatched The Incredibles last night and I’m starting to think Bob Parr was at his most heroic when he was working at Insuricare.
Because unlike the superhero work, this was almost completely thankless and required way more sacrifice as far as happiness. Sure, Bob probably was a superhero because he liked helping people, but there’s no denying he liked the attention a lot too. His office is practically a shrine to himself, with newspapers and magazines singing his praises on full display. He liked feeling important and he loved the thrills and action that hero work brought. He enjoyed being famous and well-loved.
At Insuricare, he probably was rarely praised at all and hated by a lot of people there. Sure, that one old lady thanked him, but we don’t know that all the other people he helped did. They may have just figured he was doing his job, or if they did thank him it was probably out of politeness rather than admiration. And all the while, he was getting untold crap from his boss.
It would have been so much easier for Bob to just do what his boss wanted and deny every claim that came across his desk. The fact that he helped them get coverage even when it came at a personal cost to him, didn’t earn him any accolades, and wasn’t something he really wanted to be doing shows that even though he acts selfishly for much of the movie, he really is a good person underneath it all. He’s still willing to help people even when it doesn’t bring him any glory.
I never appreciated that scene as a kid because it went over my head, but as an adult I see that it’s one of the most important parts of the story.

some WISHLIST PLOTS either just in general or muse specific !! feel free to LIKE  this post if you’re interested in any of these plots && i’ll come message you and we can plot things out :’)) putting it under the cut bc i know this will get ridiculously long.
- 80s movies inspired ( the outsiders, grease, footloose, dirty dancing, etc. )
- Soulmates ( reincarnations, hearing each other through thoughts, countdown makers, black&white/color, feeling each other’s pain, etc. )
- Guardian Angel ( mostly for my angel bby kim dan, but could work for kingsley too since he’s technically an angel )
- DoTS AU ( specifically for donny since he’s a soldier )
- Divergent AU ( i do have a specific verse for clara, but i just need it for all of my muses )
- Mafia AUS ( rival gang leaders, bodyguards from rival gangs, bodyguard & mafia boss/ also bodyguard & mafia boss’ kid, best/friends who end up joining rival gangs, just basically anything and everything -- i do have specific mafia verses for magnus, johnny & hope, maybe klaus too, which i have a high preference for, but open to other muses as well )
- Bodyguards ( basically any of my kids being a bodyguard to your muse, or vice verse just gimme )
- Hogwarts/HP AU ( basically just any of my muses at Hogwarts, more specifically my ocs bc I do have a verse for most of them )
- Modern Au ( for my muses that don’t have a modern canon/timeline and exploring them in a modern world, more specifically for alina, davey, my greek goddesses, moana, rapnunzel, eponine, & fantine )
- Single Parent ( especially for minerva, who is raising her daughter alone after leaving home and having a messy ex-fiance, but can apply to other muses as well )
- Underground Boxer ( i need this for lex pl s, she resorts to it bc she’s really good at it and it earns better money than her gym does and she’s close to losing her place )
- Love Rosie AU ( or basically the classic best friends to lovers trope with angst )
- The Last Five Years AU ( becauase.....angst......applicable for any of my muses tbh, i could always use angst for any of them )
- AU where S4/5 of TO doesn’t exist and Hope doesn’t have to be seperated from her father and Klaus and Hayley get to raise her, but she does end up going to the Salvatore boarding school still just because they’re always Worried about her ( can be for either klaus and hope because i write them both )
- I will scream about Jackson not dying, but AU where he lives and he and Hayley are still married and with Klaus, they all raise Hope and Hayley and Jackson help her understand her werewolf roots as a Cresent Wolf and with her eventual transformation ( i’d love to do this specifcally with jackson against hopes, but also if there are any jackson’s out there, i do wite hope as well )
- Rita having a mentor, obviously aside from whatever she learns at the Salvatore Boarding school, that helps her transition properly into becoming a vampire and learning how to accept her new life
- I don’t write Eponine and Fantine enough, and espeically with Les Mis muses, and I would love to be able to write them within the context of the musical, but also alternative endings for them where neither die and they both live their lives and try to move forward with their circumstances
- I’d love to explore my OCS more, obviously I have their backgrounds fleshed out, but I hardly write them or within their canon context, like Avery as a prince before he becomes a nurse, or Josh before he emancipates himself from his family and starts his own first, or Kelly before her accident, or even post accident struggling with her hearing loss
- I’m pretty sure the Victorious fandom is non-existent, but I’d love to write Jade more with other kids from Hollywoods Arts, or even just other artstic muses in general because I think it’s easier for her to interact with others who are into the same field as her, but also open to outside interactions as well, and also exploring possible romantic relationships with her, because we know how she is when she’s with Beck, but I’d love to see how she is in other types of romantic relationships
- Maya in college??? YES. I need my girl pursing her passions and still love art so much & actually thriving in school and believing in herself and that she can have a future, as well as interacting with others and creating more connections, friends and relationships outside of her small circle of friends she’s had since middle school
- MOANA BEING THE FREAKING CHIEF OF MOTUNUI PL S
- Post S3 where Lu actually goes into the Real World and experiences what it’s like to not have money at her disposal and how she adapts ( which I know she will bc it’s Lu ) and how that changes or shapes her differently than the cushy life she once had attached her family’s wealth and connections
- Also I just need more things with the TO/Legacies Muses with other muses within their canon bc I don’t write them enough tbh
- I’d love to explore my Descendants Muses after graduation, how they adapt to live outside of school and how they shape their futures ( especially for Mal & Jay, bc I love how book 4 ended with both of them and want to explore that more ) but also for my OCS as well ( kai, cami & nereida )
- I’d love to write Bob with other Supers or other Incredible muses, whether it’s the Parrs or anyone else, but also he’s adaptable to Marvel and DC as well which could be fun

so now that i’ve seen the incredibles 2 twice, it’s time to Talk
essay spoilers under the cut
first off: it’s a fantastic film, a wonderful follow up to my favorite pixar movie, and well worth the extended wait—i am ready and willing to fight anyone who says otherwise (you hear that, dumb facebook friend?)
second: the character of evelyn deavor is a hot mess. her motivations, while interesting on the surface, are all over the place and they don’t really..seem to...connect logically?
she’s cynical and convinced that society is too complacent and that has something to do with both digital screens AND superheroes? i could buy a villain being hung up on one of those things but why try to combine them? it’s just confusing
and also her plan? what even was it? what was she gonna do after she let all the supers under her control go? hope no one believes any of them when they went to the police? like.......i just don’t see how she could have possibly won given the circumstances SHE set up
i think pretty much everyone agrees that screenslaver’s identity is easy to figure out (and yeah, it is) but the people who are saying THAT makes her disappointing seem to be forgetting one thing:
SCREENSLAVER IS CREEPY AS ALL HELL
the scene in the apartment? oh my god i felt like i was watching a horror movie. the lighting and the sound design and the epilepsy-warning-boss-fight are downright terrifying for a family film. i haven’t felt this uncomfortable during a pixar production since i was five years old watching the first toy story movie (more on that later)
and that’s why i don’t care that i knew who the villain was the moment the movie introduced a character who doesn’t appear in the trailers; sheer style wins out over poor writing every time in my book (see: kingdom hearts) and i was sufficiently unnerved despite the character’s flaws
moving on
helen parr is the best character pixar has ever created and no one can tell me otherwise. it was such a gosh dang joy watching her in the lead role. from her realistic facial expressions to her sharp-witted personality to her insanely creative fighting style, she is just such a fun protagonist. i was grinning from ear to ear anytime she had the screen to herself
and this is despite the fact that she doesn’t even have a proper character arc!
i don’t care that she leaves the movie the same way she started, give me more of helen being an intelligent, unflinching badass
in other news, caitlin has a thing for lawful good girls and that is in no way relevant
oh yeah the rest of the family is great too. loved all the antics with bob taking care of the kids. it never got too sitcom-y and jack-jack stole the show
going back to that toy story comparison, pixar hasn’t released anything even remotely as uncomfortable and harsh as its first feature film in the last 20 years. until now.
like even aside from the minor cursing (speaking of which i was s h o o k when characters started casually throwing around ‘hell’ and ‘damned’ like this is the 80s or something), there’s a scene with helen and evelyn having a philosophical debate about the dangers of free enterprise. and a scene where helen is just. dying from lack of oxygen. no super powers, no achilles-heel weaknesses at play, just. slow, painful, morbid suffocation. oh my god.
and it all feels like a throwback to when children’s media was more abrasive and treated kids like tiny adults. if that’s gonna be a comeback trend, i’m not entirely sure how i feel about it, but at least for now i think it worked out spectacularly
have i covered everything?
uhhhhhh
oh! void was super cute
ok i think that’s it
no but seriously i would watch the hell out of an elastigirl show. preferably one featuring helen with a mohawk

rant post
Why does everyone on the internet want to fight with me today? Am I the monster? D:
First person: They replied to a post saying a man is not obligated to continue talking to a woman if they rejected him with a comment saying that he *must* stay and make conversation because how can he expect a relationship without being friends first. And I was like...no. He made his intentions clear from the beginning, and he doesn’t owe anyone any more of his time. This woman then legit argued with me for like 12 hours straight saying everyone should be friends first and not understanding the fundamental difference between “lovers” and “friends”. I mean, I’m asexual (I think) and even I understand it’s different. But arguing with this woman was like arguing to a brick wall. No means no goes both ways, geez.
Second person: The OP was an exasperated parent that tried everything and their kid was still struggling at a mainstream school and wanted advice. So I advised the parent to get the kid checked out by a psychologist or psychiatrist and be medicated if necessary. The parent asked how they would go about doing so and I explained (with my limited knowledge of the issue, admittedly--I just said they should go to a hospital and get a prescription to see a psychiatrist, or see a social worker). First person to argue with me was about whether the kid should be sent to a psychologist or psychiatrist (wtf...what does that even matter? As long as the child is checked out it shouldn’t be an issue????). Then the next person accused me of being a bad person because I *gasp* dared to suggest the child be medicated, ignoring the fact that I said she should be seen by a professional first. Y’know, because all medicines are always bad all the time and will definitely be destructive to your kid despite the fact that...medication is like, literally needed if it’s a psychological issue???? I was getting so frustrated I just peaced out of that conversation, because all of their fuggin comments were not needed. A parent was asking for advice, I gave it, and it should have ended there. If they had alternative advice they could’ve replied to the post on their own instead of hijacking my post.
Then my boyfriend came home and said I should be grateful he came home early to come to my mom’s birthday...huh???? I was like...that is so rude...you should *want* to come to my mom’s birthday and not make it sound like I’m forcing him(cos I’m not, but he knows he would be seen as rude af if he didn’t attend). And then I sarcastically said “thanks for coming home early” and he was like “You don’t sound grateful”...uh, maybe because you tried to guilt trip me into feeling bad for you NOT WANTING TO COME TO MY MOTHER’S BIRTHDAY??????? Also cos I was already pissed from these two internet arguments that were actually nothing-burgers.
Oh I was also angry from work because apparently the boss-man has assigned each teacher 40 periods for next year which is a RIDICULOUS work load, especially since I’m teaching MATRICULANTS (Final year of school) and I need the extra prep time. PLUS next year they’re bringing a brand-spanking new teacher in my department and I need to train that person--where am I going to find the time if I have 40 periods a day????
I was also angry because yesterday boss-man put me in charge of debt collection and I was like, “I am not trained to do this shiz” and I had to listen to three hours worth of sob-stories from parents who couldn’t pay and then had to heartlessly tell them that if they didn’t we’d take legal action--like I’m a person who can do that. I was all Bob Parr at the desk telling them to go to the department of education and apply for an exemption of school fees. The school wanted me to take money from a grandma with a disability who was surviving on a measly pension...She gave me her last R50 and I felt so gross afterwards. I get that parents and guardians have financial responsibilities towards the school and schools take a lot of money to run properly--but don’t ask me to do this shit cos it feels gross and exploitative and I hate it. I complained about it today and they had the nerve to put me on debt-collection again despite the fact that my own register children were supposed to collect their reports--so they can’t collect their reports from their actual teacher? WTF? There was nobody to assist them so I just ducked away and assisted my kids, it seems like they found some other teacher to do the debt-collection.
I’m also pretty sure other teachers in the staffroom are gossiping about me: I overheard the word ‘kort-sokkie’ (‘short socks’ because primary school kids wear short socks) and my name. Basically implying that I’m a kid and I don’t know what I’m doing...despite the fact that my kids all passed their final year with good marks last year (better than some of the older teachers’ kids)? Probably also because I dare to speak up against injustice, given that another young colleague was not permitted to teach the final year students because he didn’t have enough experience (3 years?) despite the fact that his kids receive excellent marks???? I basically called out their bullshit to another colleague, who probably told the story to them, (either that or they overheard me) and then they were all like, “Ah she doesn’t know what she’s talking about cos she’s young.” How ageist, right??? Well I’m just assuming that’s how the conversation went given I only heard snippets of it. I really don’t give a shit, but it’s annoying--everybody needs to start somewhere right? So give the man a little responsibility rather than just taking over and then complaining that he doesn’t have any experience. No duh, it’s because you’re not giving him a fucking chance.
I was thrown into the deep end my entire career and I came out on top. The first day of my job at this school I was given a classroom with NO DESKS or CHAIRS. Kids had to sit on the floor. And I was given the two rowdiest classes in grade 9 that NOBODY wanted. And now? I’m teaching final year students for two years now, I’m lead teacher in the history department, and many new teachers come to ME for advice instead of their own friggin’ HODs. My HOD asks *ME* to moderate my colleague’s scripts because that is how much she trusts me (but it could also be deferring work on her end lol). I’ve done all of this within a five year period, despite not being the most extroverted person or the most amazing teacher. I’ve been trusted to mentor newbies, I’ve been trusted to do admin work like take in books or mail-merge letters, I’ve held extra-mural activities in my own class and managed them alone when other teachers dropped out, I spend EVERY SINGLE INTERVAL helping my kids--sometimes I don’t even get to eat because I’m explaining something to a kid that doesn’t understand. Many other teachers in the history department are still using activities and files and assessments that I HAVE SET UP. Five years later. So that has to count for something right?
I also know I’ve been excluded from a particular whatsapp group because sometimes people mention things to me that I’m not aware of expecting me to know about it. It kind of sucks, but I’ve no right to complain because they’re my colleagues not my friends. But when it comes to favours and wanting things they always turn to me first. How gross is that, right? But I do it anyway cos I’m a nice person *cough*doormat*cough*. I also believe that you should do nice things for the sake of being nice and not for any reward, and the more positivity you spread the more it will come back to you--though I’m just not feeling it at the moment LOL.
But let’s end this rant post on a lighter note: It’s my mom’s birthday today! Yay!~ Also all my register kids passed and most came to collect their reports (Yay!). I got a present from one of the parents (always the best feeling <3) I got to know one of my colleagues a little better. I’m doing pretty well, otherwise...
