Shantideva's Prayer
May all Beings everywhere Plagued by sufferings of body and mind Obtain an ocean of Happiness and joy By virtue of my merits. May no living creature suffer, Commit evil, or ever fall ill. May no one be afraid or belittled, With a mind weighed down by depression. May the blind see forms And the deaf hear sounds, May those whose bodies are worn with toil Be restored on finding repose. May the naked find clothing, The hungry find food; May the thirsty find water And delicious drinks. May the poor find wealth, Those weak with sorrow find joy; May the forlorn find hope, Constant happiness, and prosperity. May there be timely rains And bountiful harvests; May all medicines be effective And wholesome prayers bear fruit. May all who are sick and ill Quickly be freed from their ailments. Whatever diseases there are in the world, May they never occur again. May the frightened cease to be afraid And those bound be freed; May the powerless find power, And may people think of benefiting each other. For as long as space remains, For as long as sentient beings remain, Until then may I too remain To dispel the miseries of the world.
~ This is one of H.H. the Dalai Lama’s favourite prayers, extracted from “A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life” by Shantideva, a Buddhist master from the monastic university of Nalanda, India and composed in the eighth century, BCE.

Full Blue Moon in Pisces ♦︎ Moon Magick Pick A Card
A Super Blue Moon such as this occurs once every decade, sometimes every couple of decades, according to NASA🪐huehue
Finally, with this Super Blue Moon in Pisces many kinds of generational curses and negatively-polarised karmic bonds CAN and WILL be dissolved. Weirdly persistent patterns of misery and misfortune will be broken and you will gain a renewed sense of being alive. This is an amazing period of massive emotional baggage cleansing.
Those who are especially spiritually inclined, some of you have dealt with ancient curses that either you have carried from hundreds—if not thousands—of past incarnations whilst some others have been transmuting those negative patterns in the bloodline you chose to be born into. For many people, this kind of scenario has caused a great deal of traumatic experiences repeating themselves within the interface of Reality they are viewing in this incarnation.
Fear nomo, bebeh~ That’s all done and paid for. You are now free. You are now safe to experiment with whatever Reality you deem fit for the Goddess/God that you know you are🌸
You are your own person now. Go live your Life. Make your dreams come true. Each one of us deserves to see a world of our dreams turn into Reality. Claim that, Honey. Manifest your own versions of paradise on Earth!💫You are protected by Divine forces~😉

Pile 1 – The Brazen One
Tumblr media
c o s m i c – V The Hierophant
Cosmically, you are being freed from the bondage of time. You were born into this world carrying a sacred mission. So strong is this sense of purpose that you grew up feeling constricted by time. You feel like, you’ve got to achieve some great things rather quickly—before reaching a certain age. You’ve always wanted to become a success—whatever that means to you or your society—at a young age. This fear of running out of time, or generally, this rushed necessity to scurry, is very debilitating to you on a psychological level.
I feel like, if you’ve indeed achieved some great things at a relatively young age, still quite none of it feels enough. You still feel lacking, like some grandiose things larger than life must occur. You’re haunted by some kind of potential you still can’t grasp yourself. The simplest doodle of an explanation to that, actually, is that you’re meant to be of great, great service to Mankind, with whatever talents you naturally possess since you were a child.
Some of you reading this may not want to believe this, but this Pile is for the Ascended Masters. Your Soul is either an Ascended Master or you are working down here closely supervised by a very high-ranking Ascended Master. The former scenario is more prominent for many of you tapping into this reading. You are literally a Bodhisattva reincarnated for a great purpose of healing Mankind. If you feel the latter scenario is more resonant for you, you are a sacred medium for the Ascended Master who couldn’t risk being reborn lest she or he loses themselves in this mortal world.
l o g i c – XI Justice
As you can see (if you could view the card on Patreon), Justice on this deck is quite different from its traditional depiction. There is an oracle who mediates the wisdom and impartiality of the Brazen Head as guide for Mankind.
And like the picture you’ve chosen, you have a mind that’s quite well-rounded. You have an innate ability to perceive the wholeness of an issue and provide insights or solutions that would be fair to most everyone involved. You are a peacemaker; a problem solver. And I think, this of you may not have been seen by a lot of people. Worry not, you’ve only been in an initiation phase. Your Light of Wisdom is about ready to be seen by everyone.
With this awakened sense of purpose, I’m pretty sure you will naturally, or maybe ever so suddenly, cease feeling bound by the constraints of time. Suddenly, you’re a new person without fear of limitations. You now understand that everything has its own time to be seen, received, and applauded. Even by logic you know it’s all gonna be yours eventually. I think you’ve fixed your relationship with the God of Time HA The clock doesn’t scare you anymore.
Justice will be served, my dear. If you’ve resonated this much, know that you’re about to get really busy in the coming months and years. Ascended Masters being born on Earth is no small matter. You will be seen. You will be heard. You will serve your purpose. You have no idea how many higher beings are working behind the scenes to make this happen. This is a group project; you just think you’re doing everything alone but that’s the farthest thing from the Truth.
m a g i c – King of Wands
Now, with all of your cards upright, I’d like to convince you that you’ve done the best you could with what you knew. To be honest, there is no more work to be done. You’ve worked so hard on yourself, your spirituality and psychology. You deserve to enjoy Life now. You could say, Life finally begins now—no matter what your age is. You are your own big girl/boy now. You can do whatever you want with a calm heart. You’ve literally set everything in motion in ways that may not be apparent (yet) in the physical world.
Have courage for your Destiny is meeting you halfway. In the meantime, eat your cake, paint your clouds, colour your hair, burn your candles, and continue to believe in your wildest dreams. You, have, a fuckton, of motherfuckers, to prove wrong, baby. Put them to shame. Your weirdest manifestations are yours to claim. You are meant to leave a legacy of awesome and nothing in this mortal world can stop a Bodhisattva such as yourself.
To help ease your heartaches, you might wanna Google what a Bodhisattva is if you’re unfamiliar with that term. Light will be shed upon why you’ve had to endure so much hardships—even if, say, only psychologically—just to feel like you have a place in this murderously chaotic world of nonsensical stupidity.
Much like the roundness of the jelly (pic) you’ve chosen, you’ve rounded up your tenure on Earth. This is very likely your last incarnation on 3D Earth. I don’t think many of you would still want to come back around again LMAO But if you ever change your mind, know with confidence the next time you’re incarnated on Earth again it will be 5D Earth (or 4D, at least, if you feel like it).

Pile 2 – Charting New Territories
Tumblr media
c o s m i c – XVI The Tower
You’ve been through a number of experiences that would’ve given other people a major mental breakdown. But you, you were always able to maintain a positive attitude. Somehow, more than most other people, you’re blessed with an ability to maintain a strong faith in the higher powers. You’re not shaken by the unknown. You embrace cycles of transformation, like a snake shedding its old skin. Parasites are left with the old skin. You’re so amazing.
With this Full Blue Moon in Pisces, you’re building a new Tower of your own. A shiner Tower, strong enough to stand for another 10,000 years or so. This is the Life you’ve always wanted for yourself. This basically could translate into your starting up your new business, moving to another country to start a new Life, or even just starting the preparations for this new paradigm of your ideals. Basically, the chess pieces are moving now.
You’re just about to have a great time seeing every single one of your dreams and visions manifest step by step as you continue to live in your authenticity. Your decisions may not always be easily understood by everyone but you don’t care anymore. You’re done caring—carrying other people’s negativity and small worldviews. You’re done with the past. You can feel all your bones rattling—your clarion call is calling, babe~ Tlulululu~📞HELLO!🎆
l o g i c – Queen of Cups Rx
Up until recently, you’ve been deep in an alchemical process of knowing the inner workings of your emotions. You’ve recently come to fully understand how the way you care too much about the people around you has become a disadvantage. You are really kind, you know, very caring, and I hope you don’t see this as a weakness. You weren’t weak at all; you’d just been giving to the wrong bunch of people. These takers are major losers who don’t have it in them to know how to be kind, caring, or generous to other people. It’s alright, this was just your learning process to know how the Devil ticks.
With this, I’m seeing you’ve made a strong resolve to first and foremost prioritise your mental health. Your emotional wellbeing comes first because you’re literally the main character of your own Life. If that should make you step on a few toes, you’re not gonna fret. Their fault for being in your way.
You’re becoming more logical in the way you view how the world works. Things and situations are not always fair, and sometimes, the right thing to do may not always seem the best. But you’re done being a sacrifice to unideal situations at all times. Nomo. You’re choosing not to let your emotions override your sense of deservingness and respect.
m a g i c – 9 of Cups
You’ve raised your vibrations, and now you’re becoming a match to a lot of high-vibe treasures. A lot of them. You’re going to see first hand how your Reality shifts, continuously, to find the right bearing before some things can be decided and become permanent. Your realities are going to keep shifting like that at least until the next Full Moon. In the coming month, you’re going to feel very blessed and glad that you’ve decided to take control of your Life. You’re going to be so proud of yourself, if you aren’t already.
When you’re, let’s say, out and about, you might encounter people or situations that feel rather magical. Like, there’s so much good luck surrounding you and you may be like, ‘OMG, how did that just happen?’ There’s so much Love and positivity surrounding you that you also feel charitable—with your energy, attention, resources. There seems to be this equal give and take between you and the world outside.
I think it’s possible you’re gonna be meeting Soul Mates as well. Or, you could be entering this phase of your Life where you’re meeting what in Buddhism is termed brothers and sisters in dharma. People with whom you share a similar vision to be of service to the world, in a similar fashion. I think you’re going to feel so excited and motivated about the purpose of your Life and how you’re gonna go about it going forward. Tlulululu~📞HELLO!🎆

Pile 3 – Future Builder
Tumblr media
c o s m i c – King of Pentacles
On a cosmic scale, you’re being led to become a leader of the New Age of Aquarius. For some, this means you will have a public platform to speak for your causes. It’s not so difficult to wave influence over a group of people nowadays when you have social media, right? For some, this could mean that you will have a new role that will have you seen as an authoritative figure in your field, or immediate home/work/school environment.
For some others, you could get promoted to a new position at your workplace, or get a new work opportunity that is more in alignment with your spiritual values as a human being. Some kind of change that will make you feel greatly proud of yourself, in a grateful manner😊Money and other forms of abundance are coming in steadily, although for some may not be too quickly.
Some of the changes that are happening to you, you may not think that these are spiritual in nature, but they are, and you will gradually understand the meaning of these shifts in your Reality as you go along. The tiny truth of the matter is, you are finally receiving a lot of material abundance because you’ve literally embraced the idea that you deserve to take up space🎉
l o g i c – XII The Hanged Man Rx
I feel very strongly you’ve been having these inner works revolving knowing how to strike a balance between being selfless and selfish. You may have come from a background in which people are expected to always be humble and stupidly selflessly giving, no matter the cost. I know an Asian background or a Christian one could mess up with a lot of people’s psychology. Especially East Asian, I guess? You’re expected to just mingle in the background and flexing your accomplishments is literally considered a severe social misconduct *bleh* something like that
You’ve had to learn the hardest way not to give in to that notion of putting yourself last. The group is always more important than the individual? Fuck that. I come first. Every individual deserves to come first especially when the group setting is not even that altruistic. Especially when the group’s importance is literally serving the blatant selfishness of some of the top/key figures in the group. Nomo. Fuck this and fuck that. I blast open my own pathway. Even if nobody will like me for that, I come first. I take care of me first. How can I be a genuinely kind person when I can’t even be kind to myself?
That’s sort of the learning process you’ve had to go through until you reached this plateau of clarity on how an individual can maintain personal autonomy even when you’re still a part of the group. In spite of your age and how much you’ve experienced in Life, I don’t think you’re anywhere near finishing learning hahah Wise people never stop learning anyway. But for now, I think you’ve graduated some level of a meaningful spiritual masterclass with flying colours~!🌈
m a g i c – XIII Death Rx
You have been reborn, baby~ Out of the old cycle into a new phase of AWESOME. Something about the way you look, I’m sure has changed, too. You’re a much happier person now, you’re more confident. I think your facial expression is different. Your posture is better. Your steps are surer. Your skin cleared up. You’ve got an entirely new wardrobe. Your social media is going through a renaissance. You have a new circle of friends or a new boyfriend even. Everything, is just, different, in ways you can’t really explain.
Your aenergy has affected your physical Reality to morph itself in accordance with your ideals. You’re literally living in your desired reality and it can only get better form here. Need I say more? Just ENJOY~ You’ve worked hard to maintain your authenticity in a world that delights in seeing people kill themselves emotionally and spiritually just to fit in the group.
Your originality is what will ensure your future successes like nobody in your family has ever seen. Trust that, babe—this is New Age of Aquarius. Aquarius is all about being original and eccentric. It’s not like you’re hurting anybody, right? Your level of happiness is going to make everybody regret that they didn’t believe enough in you. They’d wish they coulda treated you better. But do you give a damn? Maybe you shouldn’t. Leave them at the bottom of the grave they dug for you. You go shine your Light for those who resonate with you, you beautiful Angel Goddess Fairy Mermaid Nymph Siren~🌞

Imagine what would happen if, somehow, Wukong could meet his mother? And I don't mean in the way that Guanyin is both the reincarnation of his mother and his adopted mother, I mean if he could meet the actual version of her who laid his egg? What would she think of him?
Ok I got a little carried away and made a wee ficlet/idea for how this could happen;
Tumblr media
--
It was the Qingming Festival - a time for the living to focus on the departed and tend to their resting places.
Pigsy wasn't a religious man, but he had made a point of visiting his ancestor's burial plot in Gao Village each year - bringing his adopted son MK along to help sweep the site and burn offerings. Tang typically joined in, leaving pomergrante seeds or sprigs of willow on any grave left untended to show good faith to the departed. Those who lived by the water ways set out lotus-shaped lanterns to guide the visiting souls back to Diyu.
Wukong had found the festival rather morbid in the past, especially since for such a long time it was a time of great sorrow for his people. Monkey demons had no formal burial grounds for their ancestors, only the Mountain of Fruit and Flowers itself. In the centuries following the Burning, it had been a tradition for those on the Mainland to return to their island home to as pilgrimage. They would land on the beaches and set ceremonial bonfires, offering fruits and prayers to the statues of the Bodhisattvas.
This year, MK had insisted (rather forcibly) to join in on this tradition. He had never attended such an even before, but he clearly saw his own connection to the island upon learning that he himself was a monkey demon.
As a consequence of his involvement, MK's family and friends decided to insert themselves amongst the festivities.
"They have certainly earned their places at the table," Ma agreed, now far older than she had been in her Marshal days, "And they've helped so much in repairing the island after that Brotherhood fiasco."
Wukong had agreed with a nervous chuckle.
Azure Lion's defeat had come with a heavy cost. When MK had unleashed his own hidden mystic monkey power against Azure Lion; the force of his blow had cleft the island in half - almost reminding Wukong of how a certain god he knew cleaved a mountain open to save his mother.
Thankfully only the main peak had been split, though insurmountable damage had been done to Water Curtain Cave. Wukong called in a few thousand favours from surrounding tudis just to move the rubble and clear the area around his hut. He didn't want his subjects nor his little troop to be in danger of a falling cave ceiling any time soon. He had enough things to be worried about.
For now he was to enjoy himself.
The bonfires had started just before the sun went down. MK and the rest of the "noodle troop" (as Mei had dubbed them all despite Red Son's objections) had arrived some point in the early evening. Pigsy and Tang looked positively green at the MK-operated flight from the mainland, and required some rest before they could get started with festivities. Sandy had of course offerred his services to the monkeys on the mainland to ferry them across to the island, free of charge. In turn the fishman found himself swarmed with elderly cooks and grandmothers making sure he was eating his fill of the banquet.
Wukong could only smile at his little troop. His family.
"Are you content Sun Wukong?"
Wukong nearly jumped at the warm voice of the Bodhisattva as they appeared at his side without fanfare. A concious choice for the goddess.
Looking forward at the dancing and laughter, Wukong sighed
"I am."
"Your mind is busy though."
Wukong nodded. Guanyin had always been so perceptive of his emotions.
"I'm thinking you know, about the ones who came before all of us."
"Not uncommon, given the holiday."
Wukong hummed in thought. The fires of the party were still strong enough to hide them both amongst their glow.
"My mo-... the one who made me." he hesistated despite knowing that the goddess likely knew his thoughts. "I just wished I had a way to have known her. I know that she... she sacrificed everything to make sure I made it here today. But I don't even have a gravesite to sweep for her."
The Bodhisattva gained a slyness to their smile, the sprig of willow in their fingers hiding their amusement.
"You know... Qingming isn't just a time for us to remember our ancestors. But also for us old souls to recall our past lives."
Wukong had been looking away when the goddess said those words. So he replied in jest "So what? Are you going to turn yourself into a monkey to get the feel of it?"
"No, but I did invite some very important persons to witness the festivities this year. With permissions from Kshitigarbha."
The Bodhisattva of the dead? Why would she need to -
"By Houtu he's lovely."
The new voice stopped Wukong's thoughts in their tracks. Turning to where Guanyin once stood, his Gold Vison revealed a new figure.
A painfully familiar figure. One he could almost indentify in the mirror.
The soft, sunset warmth of her smile broke through the haze of the other realm. Her orange-gold fur bright against the reds and greens of her clothing. Large jade bands decorated her arms and tail, her form made bigger by a large red cape the King could swear he recognised.
Wukong felt the words die in his throat.
"Mo...ma."
The figure nodded and broke into a twittering laugh at her child's reaction.
"Yes love."
"You... you are. Her." Wukong pointed to a statue, one recently uncovered in the clean up efforts and placed in an area where the subjects could see her safetly. "Shíhuā."
The Last Stone Matriarch of Flower Fruit Mountain.
"I am. Though my subjects just called me Matriarch, my dearest called me Stone Flower." The female monkey stepped forward with the grace of a Queenm placing an air-light hand on her son's face.
"Oh my. Your title serves you well. Beautiful Monkey King. You can thank me for that."
Wukong felt tears running down his cheeks as he smiled at her words. Oh how he wished he had known her as a child. Perhaps he would have grown up with her wit and charisma lightly teasing and guiding him through his journey of cubhood. A voice that would have kept him out of trouble.
One detail of her nearly-identical body stood out to Wukong above all else though.
She was a good half-foot taller than her son.
Wukong narrowed his eyes at the peal of her hair, making a childish pout, "Not sure where your height went though."
At his comment, the Matriarch laughed once more, now near tears with joy, "Yes! Yes! You are your father's son alright! I was wondering where his dao rubbed off on you!"
"Father?" the thought was as alien as the situation happening before him. Did she mean her mate?
Sensing his confusion, the Matriarch replied with a delightedly-exasperated sigh, "Yes, my Consort - and the one you should thank for the extra dao that paints your body. Please forgive his tardiness, he's distracted as always."
"My love! Have you've seen him yet? He looks just like you!" A louder, joyous voice broke through the crowds of dancing monkeys. The ghostly form of a short pudgy male bounded unseen by the living towards the three, "I just saw the little ones! Looks like his heir got cursed with my looks!"
The male monkey demon's fur was a earthy chestnut brown that hid him in the dim light. Big intelligent yellow eyes shone through his butterfly-shaped facial mark.
Most embarassingly he stood exactly level with the less-than-tall-Monkey King. And he seemed extremely proud of it!
Wukong was about to say another word when another voice came at the heels of the Consort.
"Monkey King! Have you met these guys yet? They're so cool and they know everything about you and the island!" MK ran forward, his eyes shining with Gold Vision. In his hands many a half-eaten pomergranate spilling with seeds. Little baby monkeys clung to his jacket and pants legs as he came closer.
Wukong's face finally broke into a wide smile as he laughed.
Looks like his cub had ancestors to tend to afterall!
--
Pls enjoy, wasn't sure how to insert Yuebei or Luzhen in yet. Just wanted to focus on Wukong and his mom interacting for the first time.

hnk stuff from reddit
The running joke is that you need a PhD in Japanese Pure Land Buddhist philosophy to understand what is going on. The main thing to get is that HnK is a critique of Pure Land Buddhism.
As for discussions on ship of theseus or plato's save this is anglosphere Westerners trying to use Western philosophical terms (which are more familiar) to interpret the existentialist themes inherent to Buddhism.
Most of this stuff is searchable on the internet. But you can also look up a primer on Buddhist philosophy and Mahayana Buddhism in particular which is the form most popular in East Asia.
Other than that there was this one imgur post going around compiling mythological references but I don't remember where it it.
Specifically ship of theseus/grandfather's axe deal with the question of what is the essence of something (or someone one). If something keeps changing having it's parts replaced with different parts at what point is it something different than the original. To understand a more Japanese perspective on philosophy and aesthetics look up kinsugi, wabi-sabi, or even the shinto influences on Japanese Buddhism.
Plato's allegory of the cave is about perspective, experienced versus objective reality, what is real, and knowledge. Some's dude's only seen the world through the shadows cast on a wall, then leaves the cave and realizes that everything they're seen has been shadows.
Some basic extremely simplified highschool takeaways for Buddhism is that suffering or discomfort (durka) is inevitable in life, this suffering stems from attachment to the world and desires (of any kind). Life is in a cycle of reincarnation (samsara). The way to break free of the cycle is to reach enlightenment (nirvana) by freeing oneself of all desire. In Mahayana Buddhism someone enlightened may instead choose to remain in the world to guide others becoming a bodhisattva. In the context of history this allowed Mahayana Buddhism to better adapt to local religions as it spread across Asia, incorporating local religions and deities. Thus Japanese Buddhism is descendent from Chinese Buddhism and you can see the Chinese influences in it (same with Korean Buddhism). Chinese Buddhism itself was influenced by other non-Indian cultures along the silk road in Central Asia (Persia, etc). So the route Japanese Buddhism took was from India to Central Asia then China before finally coming to Japan. Honestly just read the Wikipedia page on Buddhism it explains thing better than I can.
I'm not well versed enough in Buddhism to have a good guess but here's some notable plot points in relation to Buddhist themes in HnK.
Phos is set up narratively to gain all 7 jewels/treasures (houseki) of Buddhism and then the author deliberately makes it so he doesn't. Phos gets the wrong final jewel. Phos gets shell and agate legs, gold platinum alloy arms, Lapis Lazuli's head, and Achemea implants an artificial pearl eye into their head. The last treasure Phos was missing was a red gem/carnelian/coral. But instead Phos got Adamante's eye and became "human".
Humanity failed to go extinct. Their souls, flesh, and bones existing separately and simultaneously in the world. Instead of continuing the cycle of reincarnation the Moon People/Lunarians are stuck in a state of neither life of death, stagnant. Instead of striving to reach enlightenment they seek complete annihilation the cessation of existence. To these descendents true humans are as to gods, the only ones with the power to have them die.
There's also a lot of ominous imagery. Like the lotus is probably the most significant symbol in Buddhism representing enlightening and the cycle of reincarnation. And Phos is associated several times with an empty lotus seed pod, like that he has failed Buddhism or something, the lotus failed to complete it's lifecycle and will not be born again from it's seeds.
I honestly don't have any conclusions what to make of all this, still mulling over it all.

Houseki no Kuni - Questioning Everything: Enma & Kongou Sensei [Thread]
Tumblr media
As revealed in Ch.89 Aechmea is a reference to the the Buddhist God of Hell - Enma Daiō. He is said to be both the ruler of the underworld, and the one who judges the souls of the dead on whether they go to Heaven or Hell. Some of this information gets interesting now....
Multiple sources state: "In the Indian Veda myth, he is said to be the incarnation of the Jizo Bosatsu, the stone statue which is the god of help in Japanese Buddhism." Sensei's full name? Kongou Daihijisho Jizo Bosatsu
Tumblr media
Their relationship is still unknown and, to put frankly, extremely suspicious. Multiple panels and dialogue throughout the series emphasize they are one-in-the-same:

Its also noted that Enma was the first person to die. In chapter 89, after Barbata explains his role during the history of the Lunarians, Enma shows disappointment when talking about who to prioritize for enlightenment [...]
Tumblr media
However, in Chapter 65 Kongou makes a similar remark regarding humanity, noting that Equality and Tolerance are concepts which never upheld for long within Humanity [...]
Tumblr media
[cont.] "Because he is also an incarnation of the god of help, it is said that he can come and go freely between heaven and hell." This perfectly explains Enma's vaporisation and instant-arrival on Earth to confront Phosphophyllite during the onset [...]
Tumblr media
Another interesting detail is how easily Enma can speak on Earth? This was something every Lunarian had trouble performing and could barely make a sound. [...]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back to Kongou - "Jizo Bosatsu is the protector of children. In Japanese folklore, Jizo hides the children in his robes to protect them from 'demons' and guide them to salvation" [...]
Tumblr media
"Unlike most bodhisattvas, who are shown wearing richly adorned clothing to indicate their exalted status, Jizo has a shaved head and wears the simple robes of a monk. He made a vow not to become a full Buddha until all souls have been freed from suffering."
Tumblr media
ICHIKAWA WHAT ARE YOU COOKING?!!
Head-cannon: Enma is a significant figure related to the team whom worked with Ayumu. Perhaps he was the first person to be subject to enlightenment by this machine. Something went wrong and Kongou had a 'change in physical appearance.' They HAVE to be linked at this point

The Good Heart Awakens
We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly.
We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.
~ Anais Nin
There are some questions that shouldn't be asked until a person is mature enough to appreciate the answers.
~ Anne Bishop, Daughter of the Blood (The Black Jewels)
The willingness to forgive is a sign of spiritual and emotional maturity. It is one of the great virtues to which we all should aspire. Imagine a world filled with individuals willing both to apologize and to accept an apology. Is there any problem that could not be solved among people who possessed the humility and largeness of spirit and soul to do either — or both — when needed?
~ Gordon B. Hinckley, Standing for Something: 10 Neglected Virtues That Will Heal Our Hearts and Homes
Pain and suffering are always inevitable for large intelligence and deep heart.
~ Fyodor Dostoevsky
Maturity, one discovers, has everything to do with the acceptance of 'not knowing!
~ Mark Z. Danielewski, House of Leaves
When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty, I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.
~ C.S. Lewis, On Stories: And Other Essays on Literature
Youth ends when egotism does; maturity begins when one lives for others.
~ Hermann Hesse, Gertrude
For as long as space remains,
For as long as sentient beings remain, Until then may I too remain To dispel the misery of the world.

Force Ghosts as Enlightened beings, each representing a Theme
Tumblr media
This meta presents a theory that all characters who become Force Ghosts were reincarnated souls close to nirvana that needed to master one final lesson before becoming eternal in the Force.
Once they do, they are allowed to become Force Ghosts, serving as bodhisattva-like entities for the Galaxy. I propose Jedi (or force-sensitives) are these particular reincarnated souls close to nirvana. This explains their "powers" in the SW universe. Importantly, only a few of even the Jedi are close enough to nirvana to reach Enlightenment - thus becoming Force Ghosts.
A bodhisattva is a person or entity who can reach nirvana but they basically stay behind to help assuage the suffering of others. As a follower of buddhism, I have always sort of assigned the Force Ghosts this role in Star Wars because even out of the Jedi they are special. This is only my personal interpretation and application of the concepts mishmashed with Star Wars. To me, each of them represents a Master over a different version of Suffering.
In their latest incarnations (aka the Jedi characters we know them by) they are tasked with trials and tribulations by the Force that are intended to be insurmountable, these tasks are intended to test them to see if are ready to leap over that final hurdle towards Enlightenment so they can act as guides to humanity (bodhisattva-like entities or Force Ghosts).
They are already all good people- but to reach this final stage requires immense inner balance and understanding of the true Way (as reflected by the Eight-Fold Path). The EFP is a buddhist guidance system which does not rely on concepts of "good" or "evil" but rather personal integrity and things like "right effort", "right intention" which can include taking actions or POVs which may be seen as morally ambiguious to others. This guidance system is used to prevent "the painful cycle of rebirth" and free oneself from, essentially, physical/psychological/spiritual deja vu.
Obi-wan: Forgiveness
Tumblr media
Obi-wan begins his journey as a Jedi as an uppity, arrogant young man. He is portrayed in TPM as rule-follower with an intense dislike of deviation from "the books" so to speak, and is baffled by his Master's lackadaisical adherence to the Code. He finds it difficult to bend tradition and holds himself to very high standards of his own design.
He meets Anakin who is his litmus test, his foil, and his eventual partner. It has been said many times that Anakin taught Obi-wan adventure, energy, freedom, flexibility. His other half. The one person he finds purpose with and literally cannot live without. So what does the Force serve him? Betrayal. He is betrayed by Anakin. His rock. His defining partner. The person by whom he defines himself.
Not only has Anakin failed, but ergo he himself failed. An insurmountable grief it takes him years to come to terms with.
How does one learn forgiveness? To find detachment from the need to hold onto grief? To anger? To sorrow? To define oneself by loss as much as by love?
To free those who need forgiveness (ourselves or others), one must free oneself from judgement - judgement of ourselves and others. This judgement comes from a desire for control. This is Obi-wan's journey.
And each time Obi-wan succeeds - he forgives Maul for the murder of Qui-gon and Satine, and helps him die with compassion. He understands Maul's pain, even if his actions were painful. He knows it truly has nothing to do with him. Experiencing emotional pain is different from mentally centering oneself as the target of suffering.
He has an extremely important conversation with Maul here. As Maul is dying he asks Kenobi, "Is he the Chosen One?" to which Obi-wan replies, he is. Maul, with relief, dies in his arms with the last words, "He will avenge us all."
This exchange is extremely important! Not only does Obi-wan make the step to forgive Maul, but through that effort he gains more understanding of Anakin and Vader (his biggest hurdle!). He gets closer to overcoming his greatest challenge.
Along the way he forgives Padme for lying to him about her marriage to Anakin and raises her children. He forgives himself for the blame he carries for Qui-gon's death and Anakin's fall. He forgives Anakin.
Until finally, most importantly, he forgives Vader by realizing there is still light in him, too. That Vader suffered and is a Being of suffering, made of suffering, making others suffer.
He has compassion for Vader! Because one only suffers if they have goodness in them, if they are in moral conflict with themselves. And so he understands Anakin has always been there in Vader. He is not lost and never has been.
This is why he smiles when he dies. He knows neither of them are lost. The circle is now complete. He reaches Enlightenment.
This is how Obi-wan becomes a master of Forgiveness.
Anakin: Balance
Tumblr media
Anakin of course is a demi-god and agent of the Force's will. His entire life he is torn between two ends of a spectrum. IMO if we follow Buddhist tradition in this example, the Force is the entirety of dark and light, all-encompassing, the unit, the whole. There is no nominal "good" or "evil", just well-intended deeds and unwell-intended, failures and successes, both dependent one another.
As an agent of the Force with no real "free will" Anakin is tossed back and forth between extremes and opposites his entire life, fighting desperately for an identity and freedom. The Sith or the Jedi. Obi-wan or Padme. His mother or his duties. Ahsoka or the Council. Republic or Separatists. Sage or Warrior. The Son or the Daughter. Anakin or Vader. Good or Bad. Slave or Master.
This duality tortures him until he finally accepts something most people cannot accept or comprehend about themselves (even the Sith and Jedi): he is both.
We all must balance and accept we belong to the dark and the light, to every edge of our desires, to take responsibility for ourselves - without judgement, to stop fighting, stop warring with ourselves and one another, to see we are all struggling, and to most importantly, not become slaves to our engineered suffering.
When he dies, like Obi-wan, he is smiling, because he sees his son Luke. The person who was able to finally help him see he is not a monster, torn and tortured - he is just a person, like everyone else; and he is the Force, like everyone else.
This is how Anakin becomes a master of Balance.
Luke: Failure
Tumblr media
Luke's arc really is intriguing and my personal favorite. He is a wunderkind and Light of the galaxy. He is revered, worshipped, loved, -- he can do no wrong.
But soon, the Force begins to test him. Grogu rejects his teaching. His Jedi Academy fails. He finds himself distanced from Leia and Han. He takes on the apprentice Ben Solo and fails spectacularly to protect him from the Dark.
He considers ending Ben's life, in a mirror to Vader's slaughter of the younglings, and comes to the personal notion that the Jedi way itself is corrupt. If it wasn't, wouldn't it protect these souls? These children? Wouldn't it make him strong enough to resist that urge.
He feels the Jedi Way (or any adherence to a Way that creates duality) is what corrupted not only him, his father, his nephew, his relationships, but the whole galaxy. He is convinced the Jedi need to end and flees to isolation.
He considers himself a failure to his father, his legacy, his apprentice (Rey), his masters, Obi-wan, Ben, and the Galaxy.
Yet when he seeks to burn the sacred texts he hesitates. Yoda appears to make it clear to him. The greatest teacher failure is.
Luke the Wonderboy needed to face the fact that he was fallable man, not just Luke Skywalker: untouchable son of the Chosen One.
When he faces Ben Solo he accepts that he failed. He wants Ben to know it is okay to fail.
To fall.
And that is how he eventually saves his nephew and gains Enlightenment. The Order fell, not the Jedi way (aka "goodness"). And that's okay, because the Order was only an institution. Maybe it was wrong and corrupt.
And so from that Luke understands the Jedi Way did not fail, he did. And that's okay, even if he's Luke Skywalker.
He says "See you around, kid" because he knows with this last lesson he has finally given hope to a new generation of Force-sensitives. He knows he will not be the last Jedi.
This is how he becomes a Master of Failure.
Leia: Acceptance
Tumblr media
We don't get to see much of Leia's life on screen but it is easy to surmise what her lesson from the Force is. Fierce, independent, fiery Leia, rebel leader Leia, who is convinced she can do or achieve anything - must learn to accept things she cannot change. Must give up control. Understand that some things are unchangeable. Some things you cannot fight.
Leia cannot know her birth parents (Obi-wan tells her only what he can). Leia cannot save Alderaan (an impossible choice). Leia cannot save her son Ben.
It doesn't matter if there is still light in Ben (she can't save him alone and must have Han). She cannot bring Luke back alone (she needs Rey to do that). She cannot save Han (he sacrifices himself). She cannot win the war (that is left to another generation).
No matter how hard she fights, she must admit to herself there is no winning, no "end" to conflict. That the conflict and need to heal it is also within herself.
Leia the fighter must finally lay down her arms. And how does she finally bring her son back to the light? Not kicking, not flailing, not burning into the night - no, she literally lays down, and rests. She finally rests, giving the last of her life to help him survive Rey's saberhit.
And that's when Ben finally hears her.
Leia dies at peace, asleep. Knowing she will never again see her son, knowing the war is not won, knowing Alderaan is not entirely avenged, knowing she cannot fight her way through the truth. Having to accept her effort was enough, even if they never outright win. That winning is not victory, but simply a resolve.
This is how she becomes a Master of Acceptance.
Qui-gon: Responsibility
Tumblr media
With Qui-gon we go briefly to the EU here. Qui-gon was considered for the Council but rejected it on the basis that he would not align with their POVs. He was a freethinker and disliked the Council's orthodoxy and adherence to the Senate's will. This stems from his suspicion about them following Dooku's fall, which wounded him deeply.
He trains Obi-wan but is so damaged from the absence of his Master Dooku that he stays distant and unattached to Obi-wan, causing the boy to seek perfection to obtain respect from his peers. He shirks the Council and insists on training Anakin. He makes jokes of levity about "not being there to free slaves". He leaves Shmi on Tatooine.
Qui-gon avoids responsibility because he does not want to disappoint anyone as Dooku did. He does not entirely trust the Council, either. He can't stand the idea of that failure and is so, so damaged by it. And so, he never commits to anything and rejects responsibility.
So what does the Force hit him with? Maul. The first Sith in ages. And Anakin. The freaking Chosen One. The two biggest responsibilities to ever exist in their time!
He is tasked with protecting the Queen of Naboo and preventing an all-out Galactic War!
When he dies, fighting the first Sith in memory, he finally is putting his money where his mouth is. He steps up and sacrifices himself for his beliefs. He begs Obi-wan to train Anakin, knowing his importance and commiting his only padawan to that belief.
He is the one who figures out how to become a Force Ghost! He is tasked with training all the masters and sent back to rehabilitate Obi-wan in the desert - his apprentice who deserved his attention long ago. And he gives it, taking responsibility and committing to Obi-wan.
This is how he learns to be a Master of Responsibility.
Yoda: Loss
Tumblr media
And of course, last but not least, Yoda.
In a lot of "anti Jedi"-centric meta is it pointed out Yoda had a huge part in the making of the past 900 years and thus takes a large chunk of responsibility for the path of the Jedi/Sith through the SW timeline.
The fact that Yoda has an enormous influence on the ebb and flow of the SW universe is undeniable at least. Yoda's attachment to the Jedi Order and way, to the outcome of continual balance, to the search for Force-sensitives, to teaching, to leading the Council is something the Force needed to challenge to test Yoda.
Of course we know Sidious defeats Yoda and the Order crumbles. Yoda himself admits the Jedi's attachment to the war, Senate, and rules contributed to the end of the Order as they knew it. He was blind to Sidious' plans because Sidious preyed on Yoda's weakness -- his faith in institutions. Sidious became the institution, something Yoda would never suspect. I am the Senate.
In the end, Yoda dies a hermit. At peace at last. No Order to serve, yet he gets over his shame and fear of his failure and starts again by training Luke. He warns Luke he will be scared. Just as he was to lose the Light, Goodness, and Order of the World. And that fear is sometimes the biggest challenge and roadblock of all.
He leaves Luke with one final warning, no longer a Jedi High Master but an old reclusive man living in a bog.
"There is another," Yoda says. He means Leia, of course, but symbolically he is always giving Luke pivotal life advice that he has finally come to understand after 900 years.
Whatever way you think you must go, never forget there is another.
Let it go if you must.
Fighting endlessly to keep something is sometimes much less valueable than letting it go.
And never forget that this alternate path might be worth walking.
This is how he becomes a Master of Loss.
-
Of course there are only the Force Ghosts we have seen on screen! So assumedly others may also reach Enlightenment.

making a game with a bridge as main protagonist
what does humanity need a bridge for? for crossing to the afterlife and the sanzu river of course?
higgs called himself a bridge, buuuut he is a crooked one so his purpose wasn’t actually to make everyone cross to the other side because if he really was a bridge, people should cross in both directions, which seems more in tune with DS2 and being a cult-leader
“Before reaching the afterlife, the souls of the deceased must cross the river by one of three crossing points: a bridge, a ford, or a stretch of deep, snake-infested waters.”
ah but hold on a second....which characters represent the hell that infants are going through and their limbo? who in the past, “tried to free the BBs” hmmm....would that make said character the bodhisattva protector of the souls of said children who died too early? the one that guides them?...through the riverbed of death?

I'd like to present a theory.
If Saitama is technically a God, because he has divine power...
Doesn't that mean you can also make a deal with Saitama? Like with OPM God? Cuz it's a deal to obtain divine power, which is spiritual power.
And eyes are a window to the soul...people's eyes glow when soul stuff happens, like for instance when they get passionate enough about their dream that their soul burns like a flame. Saitama's divine power is depicted as sunlight and mostly yellow.
Tumblr media
Saitama...
What. Did you do?
Genos eyes glow intense yellow the very second he says Yes and has a very particular sound effect each time his eyes glow like this when he apparently notices a monster in relative proximity.
Again, an effect that we could easily just ignore as anime effects where character eyes glow because they notice something and turn quickly like *zhing* Metal Gear Solid ! like, but I don't believe in such things after finding they depicted Saitama also bending reality in the anime. It's deliberate if anything. It's also found in the manga, so it's not an anime only thing. ONE seems to be pretty particular about how Saitama's powers are decipted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is also the OVA moment where his eyes glow again and he even says his body seems to be moving on it's own. Despite having amnesia and not knowing jacksquat about how he even operates himself, he automatically moves towards the monster.
"Heightened energy levels", he says. He might just be able to track Monsters with divine power.
Tumblr media
I'm not sure if Saitama's divine power is actually legit compelling Genos how to do hero work according to his/genos belief system, allowing him to sense monsters or what it is, but if Genos has far less agency than we realised, then it's quite...something. Troubling development. If Genos is taking on bigger fish than he can chew just because he feels compelled to smite evil, then Saitama would indirectly be the reason why he gets trashed so much. Would have been the reason why he threw himself at cosmic Garou and DIED.
But it seems to be a built in evil monster radar at minimum which can guide him to monsters who have not very nice intentions and who are beefed with evil divine power, but not sure according to who's innate desires or values about hero work and if it takes his agency away or aids him do what he wants to do anyway.
Genos will zealously eliminate evil because he's a Cyborg of Justice, with or without Saitama. It's not something he ignored before meeting Saitama regardless. So I would honestly go with guiding Genos to do what he wants to do than compelling. Evil monster radar sounds like a fine power to me. And like always, Genos did ask for it, but this may be the one occasion where he doesn't rly know what he signed up for.
But now he probably has even more divine power to go with, since his core got filled to the brim.
Wonder what else he may have gotten though if he got imparted with some actual divine powers.
It is a reference to buddhism, where boddhisattva has made a resolution to become a buddha.
In the Early Buddhist schools as well as modern Theravada Buddhism, a bodhisattva (Pali: bodhisatta) refers to someone who has made a resolution to become a Buddha and has also received a confirmation or prediction from a living Buddha that this will be so.
There is also reference to a Boddhisatva with "varja" in hand, who protects the buddha. Genos has some varja reference in chapter 169.
Vajrapāṇi (Sanskrit; Pali: Vajirapāṇi, meaning, "Vajra in [his] hand") is one of the earliest-appearing bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. He is the protector and guide of Gautama Buddha and rose to symbolize the Buddha's power. Vajrapāni is extensively represented in Buddhist iconography as one of the earliest three protective deities or bodhisattvas surrounding the Buddha. Each of them symbolizes one of the Buddha's virtues: Manjushri manifests all the Buddhas' wisdom, Avalokiteśvara manifests all the Buddhas' immense compassion, and Vajrapāni protects Buddha and manifests all the Buddhas' power as well as the power of all five tathāgatas (Buddhahood of the rank of Buddha).
I doubt neither party knows anything at this point that Genos has some divine power. But it'll be...interesting bit of conversation, that's for sure.
(hahaha when you accidentally soulbond with your disciple or some shit hahaha im dying, not really because it's impartation of power but still funny)

Shihuā probably would have peeled through Guanyin's eyes (if that's something that could be done, idk it seems to imply that even souls already reincarnated can still interact with the world in some way with how the Golden Cicada would guide Tang in the Lantern City or how all of the Pilgrims jsut suddenly appeared as spirits rather than memories when Wukong was rescuing everyone from the Scroll's curse) if she could. Just imagining Shihuā and her mate watching over Wukong through Guanyin, and since Guanyin has reached enlightenment, she probably can recognize when this happens. Crying for Wukong's pain and cheering for his victories, cooing at how he'd care for the baby monkeys. Maybe some of Wukong's more nerdy pursuits (dude is canonically a person who loves to learn) came from his dad? Or his painting skills at least.
Oh yes.
Shíhuā and Yē Lín are able to see much of Wukong's life on the island, given that it's their resting place. And the passed Matriarch has the privilege to see through the eyes of her most recent incarnation - the Bodhisattva Guanyin themselves no matter where they are.
And like with the Golden Cicada's spirit guiding Tang; Shíhuā is able to project herself to the goddess for matters requiring an extra opinion.
So the pair of monkeys are able to share the pains and sorrows and joys that Wukong experiences growing from a cub to a king to a pilgrim to a near-god. And they honestly just want to give him a hug.
They also giggle loudly when their son first meets the little visitor from the lunar realm with six-ears, knowing full well that the flustered stone cubs acted as they did once upon a time.
I love the thought of Wukong coming across his mother's things and seeing that while she had her love of music and fashion (her horde of jade ornaments and bone instruments evidence of that), she was admitedly awful when it came to art.
Wukong finds an art gift the mated pair shared and it looks like that one MLP meme.
Shíhuā, sheepishly: "Oh, your father had always been the better one when it came to visual arts." Yē Lín: "Hard not to when my muse is so beautiful!" Both ghost monkeys: *start nuzzling like newlyweds* Wukong: *covers eyes in embarassment*
Wukong's dad is also super proud and supportive of when he left the island to get an education from Subodhi. Shíhuā points to Wukong's piles of dogearred alchemy textbooks (this monkey had a big nerd moment in JTTW when he had to be a doctor) as evidence that he always had his dad's love of learning new things.
Wukong wonders aloud if his parents' habits rubbed off on his cubs (bio or adopted), only to turn around and see MK covered in chalk and drawing a mural of the Stone Matriach and her Consort from memory on the cave wall.
Yē Lín: "See? It's not only me! Your beauty trancends life itself!" *continues smooching wife* Shíhuā: *loud Wukong-esque snort of laughter!* Wukong: *prays Guanyin comes back soon*
Oh if there's grandbabies? You know them grandbabies getting the ghost equivalent of mini-boss bodyguards. The two monkeys sob over Wukong's cubs, overjoyed that he's able to be there with them when they couldn't for him.

In hermetic magic, we were taught to master both positive and negative forces. Positive entities are usually seen as angelic beings and they typically have beautiful physical appearance. Negative entities are usually called demonic beings and most of them look frightening. Take note that there are many kinds of positive and negative beings and they are completely unique.
I have difficulty working with negative beings since they tend to be more invasive and naughty. Usually, after I connected to their energy, I would have weird and/or negative dreams. Positive entities are not like that, but most of them can be difficult to contact since they want you to be pure and sincere. Negative beings commonly don't need you to be pure or sincere, so if you want to evoke them, they can appear easily.
I am connected and comfortable with Saturn energy, as well as Mercury and Mars. Saturn is a master of both positive and negative forces in our cosmic hierarchy. Saturn also allows negative beings to have influence in our lives, but this is for our spiritual growth and certainly not to punish us just because we don't know any better.
Anyway, here is the list of entities I currently work with:
Elemental beings (salamanders, mermaids, sylphs, gnomes, fairies, elves, fauns, etc.)
Galactic beings/Extraterrestrials (usually called aliens)
Planetary Intelligences from our cosmic hierarchy, usually from Earth up to Saturn (I work only with the positive entities)
Deities (mostly the Mother Goddess, Goddess Sophia, the Horned God, some Egyptian and Hindu deities)
Buddhas and bodhisattvas (especially Gautama, Amitabha, and Avalokiteshvara)
Here is another list of entities I have encountered, but I don't work with them:
Death angels (I recently connected to the head of all death angels on Earth and after that I kept seeing dark shadows everywhere in my house which terrified me. Maybe I'll work with them in the future)
Fallen Ones (this includes the members of the Orion Confederation. These beings are of higher density, from fourth to sixth, and they came from different planetary/star systems. These beings are also of negative orientation. My guides told me that the Orion Group is still monitoring my activities. I have a feeling that Ashtar Command belong to this group. Negative Anunnaki and negative Reptilians also belong here)
Fallen Angels (my first and only encounter at this time of a fallen angel is the famous Lucifer. A lot of people in spiritual nonreligious communities said that this entity is quite benevolent. My first few encounters with Lucifer or Luciferian energy was quite scary so I refrain from connecting with him. After some time, he became less aggressive and I realized that he probably liked scaring people. He has this beautifully dark energy about him that slightly reminds me of vampire energy. Lucifer, contrary to my expectations, does not possess dark and heavy demonic energy, but he has the energy of a fallen angel)
Vampire Spirits (I encountered them only if I focus on their energy. No matter how "cool" they are to non initiates, these beings possess dark energy. I also think that they are quite easy to contact)
These are my experiences and perspective in my hermetic path. My Mercurian guides advised me not to connect so much with the dark entities. I believe each soul has unique spiritual development.
Pictures below are:
Mermaid, Female Sylph, Male Gnome, Angel, Female Pleiadian ET, Male Arcturian ET, Phoenix, Fire Dragon, Vampire Eye, and Negative Draconian ET.

Well, let's start with the story of how a believer had a dream in which an angel from heaven came to him and told him to come to the top of a mountain. The place where you live now is only for a short time, like a single sleep. Therefore, it is not a world in which you should live completely and permanently, and that is why it is called the floating world. Where did you come from and where are you going?
In other words, the heavenly angel who came in his dream means that he comes to those who live in this world and have righteous hearts. He was told to come to the mountain tomorrow, which taught him to leave his body. He was told that he was called from heaven because his life in this world was righteous. The next day, his soul will leave his body and go up to the mountain, which refers to the upper layer of the earth. He was told to come to a large flat rock and wait there, which made him realize that the layers of the earth are uneven. After he died, he was waiting lonely as he had been taught, when the angel came again and told him that two women were coming. Think about why this was. This means that he was an angel of mercy, and one of them was the mercy of righteous love, and the other was a schemer who was trying to fill his own stomach while wearing the mask of mercy. Even among you in this world, there are many who are female bodhisattvas on the surface and yakshas in their hearts. There are many unruly followers who pretend to teach and guide good deeds but plot secretly. Religious people who sell the virtues of goodness are like bamboo shoots after a rain.
