⛔️ TW: mention of anorexia and drugging❗️
Tumblr media
♡ Venus Square Mars may attract obsessive people. In particular, people who obsess over their looks or fetishize them in some way. Brooke Shields had a whole nation obsessed with her at the mere age of 12. Eugenia Cooney has infamously attracted hoards of anorexia fetishists with her content. People with this placement may have a higher risk of drastic weight loss or gain.
♡ Either I meet too many Capricorn Suns by coincidence or it's a rather common placement. One reasoning could be that April is an ideal month for marriage in many places, especially ones where it gets unbearably hot in June. Spring adds to April's allure. Traditional couples often conceive right after tying the knot, making the pregnancy due in Capricorn season.
♡ Lilith is associated with sexuality but people focus too much ONLY on that facet of it. Lilith is associated with many other things like power, revenge and how one becomes a social pariah.
♡ Planets at 0° may symbolize struggle. Lana Del Rey has Sun at 0°. The Sun represents our ego. She had many controversies in 2020 including the mesh mask and her Instagram rant undermining POC artists. Even after criticism, instead of apologizing, she remained defensive. I believe that planets at 0° provide a lot of room for growth if the individual is genuinely interested in self-improvement.
♡ Aries Moon (ruled by Mars) and Scorpio Moon (ruled by Pluto, traditionally by Mars) despite being similar are perceived quite differently by people. The sign of Aries gives child-like quality to the native. They come off as cute and their sarcastic remarks are perceived as good humor. E.g. Rihanna roasting Helena Bonham Carter's sense of fashion. Meanwhile, one eyeroll from a Scorpio Moon, and they may come off as hateful and jealous. My advice to Scorpio Moons who want to be in the public eye, please never put on the mean girl persona. Tap into your kind side, it'll be received in a positive way and you'll attract genuine support.
♡ Venus-Mars aspects symbolize beauty; the difference may lie in how people perceive it. Venus Trine Mars are often called cute. People with this aspect are well-liked and have a good reputation. These are the people who may never be cancelled due to the halo effect they have. No matter how massively popular they are, people won't be digging up dirt on them, which is also why very little is known about these people's personal lives. These people often become a household name due to that one iconic thing they did, even if they decide to adapt a lowkey presence afterwards. Let me emphasize this with an extensive list of examples:
✧ Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Zayn, Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), Adele, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones), Sabrina Carpenter, Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man), Kate Middleton, Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember), Jackie Chan, Jenna Fischer (The Office), Ana de Armas, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians), Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) and Alan Rickman (Harry Potter) have this aspect.
✧ Taeyang being the only member of former K-pop group BIGBANG who's had no controversies (also managed to keep his relationship hidden for a long time before revealing it with a wedding announcement), Khloé Kardashian being the least disliked Kardashian/Jenner sister, Cardi B admitting to drugging and robbing men, starring in Hustlers that glamorized it, hitting her career peak with WAP the very next year really drives the point home.
✧ I've also noticed this aspect in almost all Bollywood IT girls of their time: Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma, Ayesha Takia, Dia Mirza, Divya Bharti, Parveen Babi - all loved by the general public despite the media scrutiny and misogyny that prevails within the industry.

In English they say "Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive." But in Bollywood we say.....
Rag rag woh samaya mere... Dil par woh chhaya mere.... 🩺🫀
Mujhme vo aise jaise jaan.... Gire barsaat me paani jaise.... ☔✨
Koi kahaani jaise dil se ho dil tak jo bayaan... Aashiq dil tera puraana hai ye 👩🏻‍❤️‍👨🏻👴🏻
Deewana Deewana samjhe na ho 😮‍💨
Kabhi chup chup rahe.... Kabhi gaaya ye kare... 🫣📣

My 5 Favorite SRK Films
If you were stranded on a desert island with only five SRK movies, what would they be? I find it tough to narrow it down to just 5, but I'll give it a try...in no particular order.
These are not what I would consider his 'best' movies, just the ones I enjoy the most and can watch anytime.
1. Paheli
Tumblr media
I love this enchanting tale of a woman who chooses a charming djinn over her workaholic husband. After watching so many movies where SRK gets beaten bloody by his beloved's father and brothers, it's a welcome change to see him play a happy husband. He and Rani are magic together...just thinking about this movie makes me want to watch it again.
2. Om Shanti Om
Tumblr media
This was one of the first SRK movies I watched, and I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Didn't know a thing about Bollywood, but the industry jokes work just as well for Hollywood. Great musical numbers, SRK at peak gorgeousness in some hilariously hideous outfits, one of those movies that's just tremendous fun.
3. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna
Tumblr media
I know this one won't make many Top 5 lists, but it's one of my absolute favorites. Maybe because I've been in the position of a couple of the characters myself (though I never had an impossibly gorgeous guy show up to save me). Most people think Dev is a jerk, but he and I are a perfect match. I could watch the last scene at the train station every day and never get tired of it.
4. Pathaan
Tumblr media
A Mission: Impossible-style mcguffin chase, a gorgeous fem fatale, action sequences that are off the hook in the very best way, and the unrivaled star power of Shah Rukh Khan on full display. What's not to like?
4. Happy New Year
Tumblr media
I was very tempted to put Devdas in at Number 5, but if I'm on a desert island I'd probably want something fun instead of depressing. And I think I've watched this one a few more times. One of the things I love about this movie is how the cast all look like they are having a great time. And then there's that SRK entry scene...*faints*
I just realized all these movies have SRK shirtless scenes. Can't imagine how that happened...😏

Congratulations on 1K, you deserve it sm💗 Could I please request "the bottom" (the twitter threads thing) with Lewis x ex!Indian!actress! reader (who acts both in Bollywood and Hollywood, is an Oscar winner too). Somebody hacked into Lewis' phone/iCloud and ended up leaking pictures from the time him and the reader were dating and their relationship was super private and no one knew about it so everyone is just freaking out about missing out on a power couple? And like people are starting to put the pieces together and figure out that the reader reduced posting/interactions on her social media accounts after the break up. I'm so sorry this was way too long😭
Also, if it's alright could you please use Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the face claim? Thank you so much <33
THANK U SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️
i really hope u like this <3 sorry if i missed out on any details :///
we could've had it all

I did this last time and it got a couple notes, so why not again? Here's my ranking for all the shorts from Star Wars Visions: Volume 2.
Screecher's Reach - holy shit. Holy shit. I knew I would like this one going in because Cartoon Saloon owns my ass, but I never thought I'd see animated Star Wars horror. This one was genuinely creepy and seeing such a poor character fall victim to the lies of the Sith was heartbreaking, and unique for Star Wars content. I loved this short.
Aau's Song - I know the phrase "Ghibli-esque" gets thrown around annoyingly often, but I feel like it actually applies here. The gorgeous natural vistas, the emphasis on the nobility of simple work, a loving family dynamic, the power of a child and the magic of love, it's all here. The character designs are lovely, the music is moving, and I love the vocal performances too. This one is really close to the #1 spot.
The Spy Dancer - I somehow forgot that Studio La Cachette has been responsible for some of the most astounding animation of the past couple years, but oh my god did this short make me remember. Not only is the animation gorgeous, but the characters are so vividly portrayed in such a short amount of time, and it weaves a compelling story completely separate from the lore of the Jedi and the Sith. I'd love more Star Wars content like this.
Sith - the visuals of the painted world in this one are maybe some of the most out-there, artistically, in this whole bunch, and I appreciate such a strong vision. I feel like tumblr is gonna have the hots for our former-Sith protagonist, but I'm always a sucker for droids who are Just a Little Guy.
In the Stars - I love Lilo & Stitch in space. The visuals walk the line where I'm not 100% convinced whether they were cgi or stop-motion, but either way they're extremely impressive. I personally don't vibe with the character archetype that Kichina embodies, but I like her dynamic with Koten, and the arc they go through is pretty rock-solid.
The Bandits of Golak - I have mixed feelings about this one. I like the clear Clone Wars influence in the character designs, and the action staging is pretty great. I also love the sheer Bollywood energy that the Inquisitor brings; I'd love to see more Star Wars villains with this kind of energy instead of more blandly evil bureaucrats. That said, the character models are kind of stiff (especially in the human faces), and Rani is just... so annoying. Chanuk is a good boy, though.
I Am Your Mother - I'm kind of shocked that Aardman even decided to do a short for this volume, but I'm not complaining. When you get Aardman on board you expect a certain tone, and this doesn't disappoint. It's not nearly as funny as Aardman's best work, but it's still a good time and a nice balance with the darker shorts like Screecher's Reach.
The Pit - I really respect this studio and it's unique circumstances, but I feel like this short was missing something. Putting aside the animation, which looked great in still shots but didn't move super well, I feel like this short has nothing that ties it to Star Wars. The stormtroopers could have been any evil army, the kyber crystals could have just been gold or diamonds, the pit itself could have just been on Earth. This short has a good story to tell, but it makes absolutely zero relevant use of Star Wars lore.
Journey to the Dark Head - I'm sad to put the Studio Mir short on the bottom, but here we are. Mir still delivers on some astounding individual cuts of animation that live up to their lauded work on The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender, but I feel like overall the direction of this short was a little chaotic and confused, and the thrills didn't last for more than a few moments each. Moreover, the plot barely made any sense, and failed to sell a convincing story even using a longer runtime than any other short this volume. And I'm sorry, Eugene Lee Yang; I'm happy to see you here, but it just wasn't a very good performance.

Tumblr media
Manjummel Boys Shatter Box Office Records in Tamil Nadu
The Malayalam cinema industry has reason to celebrate as the movie Manjummel Boys emerges as a sleeper hit, shattering box office records in Tamil Nadu. This motion picture, helmed by the proficient Soubin Shahir, has swiftly ascended beyond the illustrious 15-crore mark, underscoring its commercial success and audience appeal beyond linguistic barriers. Drawing crowds with its unique blend of humor and heartwarming narratives, Manjummel Boys showcases an impeccable ensemble cast, enacting a storyline that resonates with a wide audience. The film's triumph at the box office isn't just a win for the creators but also an indicator of the quality and potential reach of regional cinema.
Critical Acclaim and Audience Fervor
Critics have lauded Manjummel Boys for its engaging script and the superb performances by the cast, particularly celebrating Soubin Shahir's nuanced portrayal of his character. Audiences too have been swept up in the film's charm, flocking to theaters and sharing their praise on social media platforms, contributing to a robust word-of-mouth promotion that has undoubtedly played a role in the film's impressive box office journey. With such a potent mix of critical and commercial acclaim, the film has proven that content-driven cinema has the power to transcend regional boundaries and language differences, reaching into the hearts of movie-goers from all walks of life.
A Milestone for Regional Cinema
The runaway success of Manjummel Boys vindicates the dedicated efforts of regional filmmakers to craft universally appealing stories. The film’s earnings have set a new benchmark for Malayalam films within the competitive Tamil Nadu market, once dominated by local giants and occasionally Bollywood titles. The newfound fortunes at the revenue counters speak volumes of the shifting dynamics within the Indian cinematic landscape, where variety and relatability in storytelling are gaining unparalleled momentum. With the film industry often focused on star-studded vehicles, Manjummel Boys serves as a refreshing reminder that at the core of any successful movie is a good story, relatable characters, and the kind of authentic touch that resonates with viewers.
The Road Ahead
While it is still too early to predict the full extent of this film's impact, what's certain is that Manjummel Boys has carved a niche for itself, potentially opening doors for more films from the Malayalam industry to venture into and captivate adjacent markets. The film's performance is a testament to the timeless appeal of well-told stories and innovative storytelling techniques, coupled with potent marketing strategies. As Manjummel Boys continues its cinematic run, one thing is clear - the landscape of Indian regional cinema will never be the same again. In closing, this blockbuster from the south reminders creators and investors alike that good cinema knows no borders, and given the right platform, can leave a footprint in areas hitherto uncharted. As for movie enthusiasts, it's time to revel in the diverse cinematic experience that Manjummel Boys promises - a highlight in regional cinema's evolving storyline. Read the full article

Sception Reads Cass Cain #19
Tumblr media
Batgirl (2000) Annual #1 Writer: Scott Peterson Pencils: Mike Deodato
The Main Batgirl solo is again left at a cliffhanger mid-arc while we look at a side issue. Maybe I should have done episodes 4-6 back to back, out of chronological order? But I've had a lot to say about issues 4 and 5, so the little breaks looking at side issues I don't have as much to say about has been a nice change of pace to buy breathing room. This time we're meeting a character named Aruna? I don't think I remember her at all. These sorts of annuals are sometimes used to have a popular established character help launch a new IP that will continue in another book. If that's what was happening here, then it's a nice show of confidence in Cass from editorial. And we've got Scott Peterson writing, so that's good, but we've seen Deodato draw Cass once before, and it, uh...
Tumblr media
Oh.
Tumblr media
Oh, no.
...
Honestly, it's not all that bad. Most of it's fine. Much better than the last time he was drawing Cass. There are even some panels of Cass that I really like, like this one:
Tumblr media
But man, those first couple pages are rough.
Anyway, yeah, while this is a 'Batgirl Annual', it exists to introduce Aruna Shende, as part of a 'DC World' thing going on at the time introducing some new international heroes and I guess seeing who sticks. Aruna is a shapeshifter with a stunt person/special effects artist alter-ego working in the Bollywood film industry while investigating the disappearance of her parents when she was a child. Bruce & Cass bump into Aruna while looking into the kidnapping of the lead actor in a film she was working on and they have a little adventure together. Aftter that there's an extended character backstory segment just for Aruna with no bats at all.
It's pretty solid. I like how Cass is able to identify Aruna when she's using her abilities to disguise herself. This is still silent Cass, but she's fairly active and expressive in the part of the issue where she's present.
As for Aruna, she's an interesting character, with a solid backstory, and its honestly a shame DC never really did anything with her after that.
There is one bit that stuck out to me though relating Aruna's story to Cass...
Tumblr media
After her parents were taken by mysterious suited agents, Aruna was left as an orphan, living on her own on the street, forced basically to grow up that way while also growing into her powers and using them to take care of herself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which is very similar to how Cass lived on her own after running away from David at age 8, basically until she met Barbara during No Mans Land when she was like 16 or 17. During that entire time Cass survived on the streets, on her own, without even the ability to speak, relying on her abilities to survive.
That's a part of her life that, as far as I can remember, the old continuity never really explored outside of this one flashback with Mr. Merc from issue 1. What was life like for her? Did she form connections with anyone? She's seen the world from this abject state of poverty, seen people around her desperate to survive, presumably saw people supporting each other and tearing each other down... she was living on the streets at least as long as she was living with David Cain, it should be a big part of her world view, so much formative stuff should have happened during that period. Really meeting and spending time with people other than her father for the first time. her first crush, probably. realizing how different she was, and what her father's training had really cost her in terms of the ability to communicate and connect with other people. How does growing up in abject poverty color what she thinks about her fabulously wealthy life when she is eventually invited into the Wayne household?
And not something modern writers can really go back and fill in, since, from my limited understanding, in the reboot continuity she goes pretty much straight from assassin life to bat life without this in between period.

There's something so strangely beautiful about platonic soulmates who express romance through their art. This duality, this ability to exist in two different worlds, one of romance in their performances and one of platonic friendship in their personal lives is such a beautiful paradox.
Before I found out about Tessa and Scott, the only pair I knew as a child growing in an Asian household was Kajol-Shah Rukh Khan. Plot twist! They weren't a romantic couple but were platonic partners. Here's a little bit about them before we dive into the fun thread (I don't know what they call 'threads' in Tumblr, I'm a twitter user trying to figure out Tumblr. lol)
Kajol and Shahrukh Khan, a pair synonymous with Bollywood royalty, first graced the silver screen together in 1993 with ‘Baazigar’. Over three decades (30 years), they have starred in seven films, each a testament to their electric chemistry and enduring appeal.
Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Canada’s cherished ice dancers, began their journey together when she was just seven and he was nine. For 22 years, they glided across the ice carving stories of passion, precision, and grace. Their performances, including two Olympic gold medals, have not only won them accolades but have also captured the essence of a partnership that is both powerful and poetic.
You find your platonic soulmate squishable!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dancing like, "I think I'm madly in love with you, I'll die for you" when they can't actually wait for it to end to laugh and say, ‘Isn’t it hilarious how everyone think we’re a couple?’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you know that you and your bestie became that power couple who took figure skating to new heights/single handedly introduced Bollywood to the world. Ufff... when you know you bring people to their feet by maximizing that joint slay!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you know that your nation literally calls you-all sweethearts and you had an entire nation believe that you are married when in reality she/he was your platonic bestie. Sorry hopeless romantics! I'm new to Scott and Tessa here because I'm not Canadian but trust me, every kid in the 2000s in South Asia grew up thinking that Kajol and Shah Rukh were married. It's so funny that even the costars (who are younger than them) of their last movie too thought that they were married when they were just children watching them on screen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You find joy in trying to make people uncomfortable and confuse them by telling them, "We're not a couple!" for the millionth time because people refuse to believe that you're not in love with him/her. It was probably exhausting for them to answer that question, but I think a part of them enjoyed the mystery that their relationship created in the minds of people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you get a sweet little kiss from your bestie who is pretending to be your girlfriend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's be goofy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When you know that you still love him/her even after all those years and even though you don't perform together. Reunions are always sweet!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are so annoying, but I love you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For those who have no idea about Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol (especially if you aren't Asian), I would love to recommend 'My name is Khan' , Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and of course the iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Bonus: For all the desi girls and boys who were fooled by them!

India as an Emerging Power: Challenges and Prospects- Part 2
Table of contents
• India's Role in the Global Economy
• Political Landscape and Foreign Relations
• Conclusion
India's Role in the Global Economy
Move over, world! India is stepping onto the global stage and ready to strut its stuff. With a rising middle class and a consumer market that is hotter than a summer day in Delhi, India is a force to be reckoned with.
But it's not just about shopping and spending. India is also making waves in the tech and start-up scene. Move aside Silicon Valley, Bengaluru is where the real innovation is happening. With a boom in technology and entrepreneurship, India is churning out bright minds and game-changing ideas faster than you can say "unicorn startup".
And let's not forget about outsourcing and the service sector. It may not sound glamorous, but it's a key player in India's economic growth. From call centers to IT services, India is the go-to destination for businesses looking for affordable talent and quality work. We've got all your customer service needs covered, with a side of chai.
So next time you're sipping on your morning coffee and using a fancy new app. remember that it might just be powered by India. We're not just the land of yoga and curry, we're shaping the global economy one billion-strong population at a time. So, buckle up world, because India is ready to take center stage. And trust me, you don't want to miss the show.
Tumblr media
Political Landscape and Foreign Relations
India's political landscape is as diverse as it comes. With a proud tradition of democracy and a population that could easily create a football team, India's political scene is truly a sight to behold. It's a lot like going to a potluck dinner, where you get a little taste of everything.
One of the key pillars of India's political system is its democracy. Unlike some countries where leaders are chosen based on their ability to wave a flag, India prides itself on giving everyone a say in who gets to run the show. It's like a reality TV show, but with less drama and more debating.
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. India also has its fair share of security concerns, especially when it comes to nuclear power. With great power comes great responsibility, and India knows that all too well. It's like having a pet tiger in your backyard - you have to make sure it doesn't get out and create mischief.
In addition to domestic issues, India also has to navigate the complexities of regional and international alliances. It's like trying to juggle multiple relationships at once. Sometimes you have to choose between attending your friend's wedding and going to your cousin's birthday party. It's a delicate balancing act, and India is the ultimate multitasker.
So, when it comes to India's political landscape and foreign relations, it's a colorful tapestry of democracy, security concerns, and international alliances. It's like a Bollywood movie - full of drama, action, and a few dance numbers thrown in for good measure. India is a protagonist in its own right, navigating its way through a complex web of challenges and opportunities. Buckle up, folks, because this is one rollercoaster ride you won't want to miss.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
India, with its immense potential on the global stage, faces a multitude of challenges, Overpopulation and the management of resources pose significant hurdles. Social Inequality and poverty hinder progress and innovation. Corruption and bureaucracy add an extra layer of complexity. However, India also has promising prospects. The demographic dividend, coupled with investment in infrastructure, can fuel growth. Moreover, India's expanding global influence is a positive sign. In terms of the global economy, India's rising middle class and booming tech and start-up scene, along with its service sector, play a pivotal role. Politically, India's democracy and diversity, nuclear power, and regional and international alliances shape its position. In conclusion, India's journey as an emerging power presents both challenges and opportunities that need to be navigated strategically.

Also I wrote a little something for that November guy :
If you were a song, you would be a Bollywood Hindi Song. I am not talking about the new age songs which just consists of groovy music and senseless lyrics and is trending only for a couple of days. Instead you remind of the old classics, the kind of songs that are unforgettable. You are a 90's Shah Rukh Khan song that I keep going back to reminisce about the good old days. All the romantic songs sung in those famous rom coms of early 2000s? Yup, that's you.
Your outer appearance showcasing the bad boy and high life aesthetic might give off the vibe of a Weeknd song but that heart of yours is made up of songs written by Anuv Jain. You are the kind of song that describes the kind of love that is as intense as something like junoon and as sincere as something like mohabbat.
I can keep associating you with a million songs like the songs that define you, the songs that explain how you make me feel, the songs that make me think about you, the songs that take me back to the times we have spent together, the songs that make me picture about the idea of us. But the thing is, none of these songs can ever beat my favourite song — you.
