Breastfeeding is very important for both mother’s and child’s health and growth. Even though it’s a personal decision, but its benefits are unlimited. Mothers’ milk has all the important nutrients needed for the child’s development and it’s digestive and is readily available. Six months to one-year-old kids are introduced to solid food. At that time, the mother can reduce the breastfeeding time or only give it once a day at night or twice, depending on her preference.

Breastfeeding is an absolute journey. It changes in subtle ways every few months. Ugh but it’s so worth it. And I’m grateful I got to nurse Yamara for over a year! Even my husband asked me how much longer was I going to nurse Yamara. She doesn’t really “need” it . She is eating table food now all day. As a new mom, you may be wondering how often and how much to feed your baby. Your baby wil give you signs to let you know when they are hungry and full. It may take some time, but you'll learn exactly what these signs are. Sucking fingers, fists, rooting, moving & wriggling, rapid eye movements are all signs that your baby is getting ready for a feed. Feeding at this stage is ideal as baby is still calm and will attach to the breast effectively. Crying is the last sign of hunger and by then baby maybe too distressed to feed effectively. SIGNS YOUR BABY IS FULL It's important to let your baby nurse until they're full. Some signs that babies are done eating are: -Baby releases or "falls off" your breast. -Baby turns away from your nipple. -Baby relaxes their body and opens their fists. If your baby finishes eating on one breast and seems full, try burping your baby and changing their diaper (if needed), then offer the other breast. If your baby doesn't seem interested or doesn't want to latch, they may not be hungry anymore. Breastfeeding in pubic ( . I . ) First off, I believe moms have the right to feed their babies whenever, wherever and however they feel comfortable. Period. Whatever comfortable means for each mom is totally up to her. I support my fellow mamas no matter what. There's no "right" way to nurse in public, just what feels right for YOU. 🌻 That being said, I absolutely love and respect companies that have nursing moms in mind. We are cheesing so hard because we had the best breastfeeding experience at Target! The nursing fitting room was huge and had the most comfortable chair. 🙌 Target even thought of pumping moms by providing plenty of outlets. 🌻 I was able to fit Evelyn inside with her stroller and still have plenty of space to move around. And when Evie got hungry we were able to feed in peace and comfort. I even had my feet up on the ottoman they provided.
