“How nice ah if got a magic potion I can drink and suddenly can have enough milk to feed my bb and then got extra to make milkshake oso”. Alright, maybe not every mummy thinks that…but here at ReLacto, we think of a world where breastmilk flows in abundance and no baby is left in want.
While there is no “magic elixir” that can help you increase your breast milk supply, some meals have been believed to help. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence supporting the usefulness of galactagogues – foods that increase breast milk supply.

As a new mom, you may be wondering how often and how much to feed your baby. Your baby wil give you signs to let you know when they are hungry and full. It may take some time, but you'll learn exactly what these signs are. Sucking fingers, fists, rooting, moving & wriggling, rapid eye movements are all signs that your baby is getting ready for a feed. Feeding at this stage is ideal as baby is still calm and will attach to the breast effectively. Crying is the last sign of hunger and by then baby maybe too distressed to feed effectively. SIGNS YOUR BABY IS FULL It's important to let your baby nurse until they're full. Some signs that babies are done eating are: -Baby releases or "falls off" your breast. -Baby turns away from your nipple. -Baby relaxes their body and opens their fists. If your baby finishes eating on one breast and seems full, try burping your baby and changing their diaper (if needed), then offer the other breast. If your baby doesn't seem interested or doesn't want to latch, they may not be hungry anymore. Some babies may eat from both sides at every feeding, while others may only eat from one side. #breastfeeding #breastfeedingweek #breastfeedingmom #breastfeedinginpublic #breastfeedingmama #breastfeedingjourney #breastfeedingsupport #breastfeedingtips #breastfeedingawareness #breastfeedingtoddler #breastfeedingclothes #breastfeedingessentials #breastfeedingdiet #breastfeedingproblems #breastfeedingcover #breastfeedingnutrition #breastfeedingmommies https://www.instagram.com/p/CU-Vff_q-Sq/?utm_medium=tumblr

Bit of an ugly photo but I'm back on the healthy eating now! Enough is enough. I'm exhausted, lacking in energy, feeling low, my skin is bad, and I feel so unhealthy. Time to make a change! 💪🏼#avotoast #sunnysideup #healthyeating #healthyfood #breakfast #healthylifestyle #weightlossjourney #backtothestart #longwaytogo #slimmingjourney #transformationjourney #balancednotclean #fitfood #madeinthekitchen #breastfeedingdiet #formanymiles

Not sure my attempt at healthy pancakes is really insta-worthy 🤔 but they still tasted pretty good! 🍒🍌🍓Replaced flour with oats, and instead of cows milk I used Alpro almond and blended it together for a batter consistency. Fried in coconut oil. Made 2 large pancakes...this was the best looking one 😐😂 #sundaymorning #breakfast #healthyeating #eatclean #cleaneating #pancakes #banana #oats #summerberries #dairyfree #healthymom #fitmummy #postbabybody #weighloss #breastfeedingdiet #healthylifestyle

Veggie Risotto.. a favorite for this Italian girl 😍 With crimini mushrooms, green beans, bell peppers, yellow onion, carrot juice, vegetable broth, olive oil, fresh herbs, a tea brew of alfalfa, nettle leaf + red raspberry leaves, and organic herbal compost grown red Reishi! Nearly every single ingredient (even & especially the barley which made the risotto) is considered a proven lactogenic food. #EdibleGoddess #motherfood #takebackpostpartum #breastfeedingdiet #veganmeals #wheatfree
