The Plot at Plot Factory

I know a lot of people on Tumblr are closet writers and I know we all use a plethora of avenues and programs and spare napkins to write our stories but like, do any of you guys use PlotFactory? Better yet, have any of you used it recently? TLDR: Domain expired on Jan. 9th and so it has no host. So now its near impossible to access. Note that I said near impossible. A wonderful user on the discord server put together a fix and if you join “The Plot Thickens” Discord server, the community is slowly migrating there to get help on recovery of their works and what to do next. The community is AMAZING, so if you used PlotFactory and are now lost, we got you. That being said, I’m hella going to detail this whole experience here for anyone interested in the story or the whatever-loving-fuck happened. Because this has been a wild ride from start to middle and we’re not even at the finish line yet. Let me tell you guys a TALE in the making. So bare with me as I put this shit together.

lessee i think i last left it Murderbot was convincing Miki is was there to help and it had to be a secret…

i like Miki, i like Murderbot’s reflexive horror at the idea the humans had programmed it to be that way, and the way it also felt unsettled by the contrasting idea it’s personality had developed that way because of how the humans treated it

because it’s both… hmmmm to someone from a background of abuse, squicky (both ideas) but the second idea also unpacks a third thing~

Murderbot didn’t get a childhood.

i don’t like being around children; i worry about them excessively, even when I’m not in charge of them, frequently the way their guardians treat them makes me upset (less because of the treatment itself than my issues frequently make me read more into it than is likely actually there)

but most of all, when kids are happy and outgoing and obviously thriving, it makes me feel jealous and angry—why didn’t i get to feel happy and carefree and safe as a child? what was so different about me, that i didn’t deserve that?

anyway i wonder if whats making Murderbot most uncomfortable is the idea that Miki’s humans are genuinely good to it and that’s why it has the personality it does
