(after Buck has introduced his parents to Tommy at the wedding) Buck(with a mischievous grin):...Hey, would you be down for me telling them we're engaged too, after only dating for a few weeks? Tommy: Evan, don't be mean!...It's your sister's wedding day, don't take this away from her! Tell them tomorrow.

So now you got me think about bucktommy and the Buckley parents, because what if, what if they are trying to do better and be good parents and what if they come to visit and they plan to do something with just buck and Tommy with no Maddie/chim as a buffer because they are trying to support buck and get to know his boyfriend and Tommy’s supposed to meet them somewhere after his shift but he’s late and buck and his parents are just awkwardly waiting around with out any buffer and buck keeps trying to call Tommy and finally he gets through but it’s not Tommy it’s someone from harbor letting him know Tommy had an accident and he’s at the hospital and it’s the first time Tommy had gotten hurt since they started dating and bucks freaking out on the inside but trying not to show it and his parents are trying, okay, they are trying to be there for him but they just don’t know how and they insist on driving him to the hospital and staying with him and buck feels guilty because he kind of wishes he was with anyone but them right now because he’s trying to hold it together but Tommy’s hurt and they don’t know how to comfort him and they keep saying the wrong things and reacting the wrong way and buck can’t help it, he finally snaps at one of them and then immediately apologizes because it’s just, Tommy’s hurt and he’s not dealing well and he didn’t mean to take it out on them and finally his mom just hugs him, bone crushing, long hug because it’s all she can to do and maybe that’s what he needed all along and he just breaks down and cries in her arms for a while and his parents are silently there for him until Maddie and others show up and he finds out Tommy is okay but it’s a step in the right direction for him and his parents

and just thinking thoughts and had no one to share it with so I chose you, hope you don’t mind ☺️

rewatched Buck Begins and honestly. it's a little bit funny that Phillip and Margaret are like, we have to keep this big secret from our son. But we WILL allude to it every time we get even a little bit upset. Evan please notice and ask what's going on so we can make ourselves feel better by refusing to tell you.

Don't think too hard about how the Buckley parents gave Buck the most attention when he was physically hurt, because he wasn't valuing the one thing they had him for, and they taught him that his body is tied to his worth and his deservingness (or lack of deservingness) for love

i’ve always wanted the weewoo show to do a Maddie Begins episode, but since (like eddie) we technically saw her begins episode when she started in season 2, i’ve been stumped on how they would do it. i figured it could be something like how Eddie Begins is basically eddie beginning to be a dad, but again we’ve seen her relationship with Chimney, having Jee Yun, the Boston arc, so it feels like we’ve seen a lot of her beginnings

you know what we haven’t seen? when she left Doug. that’s when Maddie begins. i mean those days when she decides to leave him, then travels across the country to get to the brother she hasn’t seen in four (?) years, completely by herself. like her parents lived in the same city as far as i’m aware but they’re not the people she turns to. and presumably it was really difficult to do from a financial/logistics perspective. i think jlh would EAT that storyline. throw in some childhood flashbacks (daniel! please!) and i think it would be one of the most gut wrenching and bittersweet 911 episodes ever

guys you literally don’t understand like you don’t understand. i had someone tell me they’re done with the 911 shows i can’t remember who while im literally over here crying every other day because of cases and genuinely cheering when something good happens, at the edge of my seat when a horrific case happens. don’t even get me started on how i react to buddie and just the characters on there in general. if i hear hate on 911 shows again it’s on sight.

Hen:...So how did the meeting the parents go? Buck: Tommy called my parents "Mom" and "Dad" after they introduced themselves. They looked like they were both gonna have heart attacks. [sniffs and his eyes go glassy]...I was so happy, I almost proposed on the spot.

Buck and Maddie as Philadelphia Flyers fans, Buck absolutely getting Jee-Yun a round as hell stuffed Gritty plush when she's a baby that is bigger than she is

They're also Hershey Bears fans, so Jee-Yun absolutely had a little baby Hershey Bears jersey

Do we think Buck recognised the name Daniel when Maddie told him about their brother? He found out that there had actually been a ghost haunting his childhood, something he'd probably considered as a lonely and imaginative child. He'd probably seen the name graffitied under the dining room table and on labels of kids clothes hidden boxes in the attic and his mom probably slipped up once or twice and accidentally called him that, maybe when she thought he was asleep and she didn't have to look into his eyes and see someone she loathed, for a reason Buck was never told. The name probably had such an eerie sense of familiarity, and Buck probably felt a sense of relief in a way, that everything somehow made more sense. And then he had to deal with the guilt of that relief, and the guilt of surviving, and being a reminder of someone he couldn't save or become. Anyway fuck the Buckley parents, I hate both of them with a burning passion.
