dear americans,
as a polish queer woman and human rights activist, i know exactly how you're feeling right now and what to expect from these elections. i lived through the 2015-2023 regime of pis, a right-wing populist party that divided families in the same way trump did. iâve experienced the rise of fascism in poland, the influence of far-right parties like konfederacja, and their âsantaâs little helpersââordo iuris, an ultra-conservative catholic organization (banned in many countries, mind you) that helped enforce a near-total abortion ban and runs anti-queer campaigns in public spaces. i supported the black protests in 2016 as a middle schooler when they first tried to ban abortion. as an adult, i actively participated in the 2020 womenâs strike, running from police tear gas daily after they finally passed the ban. i supported friends who faced charges.
iâve lived through intense homophobia in poland as a queer teen and adult. i survived the first pride march in my hometown, where far-right extremists threw stones and glass at us. i endured the anti-queer propaganda spread by the ruling party in state-owned media. i survived the ârainbow night,â polandâs own stonewall moment in summer 2020, when police arrested around 50 queer activists following the arrest of margo, a nonbinary activist. i survived the "lgbt-free zones," the targeted violence, the slurs from strangers on the street, and the protests i held against queerphobia. it was hard as fuck, but i survived.
but just because i survived, it doesnât mean others did. many women died because of the abortion banâmarta, justyna, izabela, dorota, joanna, maria, and many others who didnât survive pisâs draconian anti-abortion laws. milo, kacper, michaĹ, zuzia (she was 12), wiktor, and other queer and trans kids and young adults took their own lives because of the relentless queerphobia.
despite all of this, our experience in poland can serve as a guide now. here are some tips for staying safe and how we, polish queers and women, organized under the regime:
safety first, always. if you know someone whoâs had an abortion, no you donât. if you know someone is trans, no you donât. if you know people who help with safe abortions, no you donâtâat least not until you know itâs 100% safe to share. if you are queer or have had an abortion, only share this with people you trust fully. most importantly, not everyone has to be an activist just because theyâre part of a minority. if it feels unsafe to share that you're queer, trans, etc., then donât. it doesnât make you any less queer.
use secure, encrypted messaging like signal for conversations on potentially risky topics, such as queerness, abortion, organizing counter-actions, protestsâanything that might be used against you.
stay anonymous online. if you want to research or report something without surveillance, do not use regular internet. get a vpn (mullvad is affordable and reliable), download the tor browser (for both onion and standard links), and if you plan to whistleblow, consider using a riseup email account.
organize and build networks. community is everything now. support each other, foster independence, because your government wonât have your back. set up collectives, grassroots movements. create lists of trusted professionalsâlawyers, doctors, etc.âwho can offer support.
to lawyers and doctors: please consider pro-bono work. this is what got us through polandâs hardest times. your work will be needed now more than ever.
for protests or risky actions: always write a pro-bono lawyerâs number on your arm with a permanent marker.
get to know the anarchist black cross federation and other resources on safety culture: "Starting an anarchist black cross group: A guide"; Still We Rise - A resource pack for transgender and non-gender conforming people in prison; Safe OUTside the system by the Audre Lorde Project;
for safe abortion info or involvement: get familiar with womenhelpwomen.
stay radical, stay strong, stay informed: The Anarchist Library
if i forgot to (or didn't) include something, don't hesitate to reblog this post with other resources.
#kinda heartbroken i've gotta post something like this#but now my experience is needed more than ever and i AM going to share it#we are going to get through this#together#activism#anarchism#grassroots#anarchist#resources#useful#helpful#human rights#abortion#abortion rights#reproductive rights#queer#trans#transgender#lgbtq#us politics#usa#us elections#america#donald trump#kamala harris#stay safe#moira speaks

đ⨠Darakaraka Secrets: What Kind of Marriage Will You Have? đđ
Note: These are all my personal observations and patterns I've noticed over the years. Take what resonates with you more and leave the rest. Lemme know in the comments if it hits home!
Please read this: North Node involving with DK in the same house can point to marrying someone who is of a different cultural background, same-sex relations, 2nd marriage situations, marrying a widow/ divorcee, marrying with children, short-lived marriage, different religion, different social status, elopement marriage, against family wishes or just half-heartedly approve of, etc. These are all possibilities of Rahu being involved in the same house and any of the possibilities listed here might apply to some degree.
DK planet in 1st house - Spouse is likely from your own cultural background/faith unless Rahu (North Node) is involved in 1st house. If Rahu is there, it can sometimes point to an unconventional marriage, like 2nd marriage situations, different religion, marrying a divorcee, same-sex relations, etc. You choose your partner and won't listen to family members' wishes unless Saturn is in the same house or as DK planet. If Jupiter or the 9th house lord is involved, your family might choose or introduce your spouse to you, but you have the final say. If Mars is involved, it can indicate a quick marriage, and your family might or might not accept your spouse.
DK planet in 2nd house - A "family approved" or "semi-arranged marriage" where your partner fits well with your background and financial goals. If Rahu is present, it might mean your spouse comes from a different community, financial situation, or social circle, adding some excitement and variety. Mars here can bring a bit of spark or occasional disagreements around family or money, while Saturn may delay marriage but helps build a stable, long-lasting relationship and the Sun points to a status-driven marriage.
DK planet in 3rd house - You and your spouse may be like teammates, supporting each otherâs goals and challenges. If Rahu is here, the marriage could be with someone unconventional or from a different cultural background. Mars adds energy and passion but can also bring occasional disagreements, while Saturn encourages patience and building a strong foundation together but can be restrictive at times if in earth signs. After marriage, you may distance yourself from your interests, hobbies or family either by choice or because of spouse. They might live in the same hometown as you. Overall, itâs a marriage built on active connection and shared experiences, not just tradition.
DK planet in 4th house - Youâre likely to marry someone who brings joy, beauty, and harmony to your domestic life, think of a partner who values family and nurturing. If Venus influences this placement, expect a romantic and affectionate relationship filled with mutual care and both spending a lot together. With Sun involved, the spouse may be confident, protective, and proud, often taking a leadership role in the home, dom at times and occasionally wants things their way. Mars can add passion but also some occasional fiery arguments and one of you won't get along well with the others' family, while Saturn brings stability and commitment that deepens with time but also distant in family matters at times. Overall, itâs a marriage built on love, security, and shared happiness.
DK planet in 5th house - Youâre likely to marry someone you genuinely enjoy being with, someone who feels like a best friend or creative partner. If Venus is involved, the relationship is charming, romantic, and full of sweet gestures. Sun can make the spouse proud and expressive, possibly someone in a respected or creative field. Mars adds passion and excitement but might also bring drama or quick tempers. Saturn tones things down, bringing seriousness and long-term loyalty, though it may delay marriage slightly and childbirth can be delayed as well. Overall, this is a vibrant, heartfelt, and emotionally rich marriage. Can point to a big fat Greek wedding kind of marriage.
DK planet in 6th house - A spouse who is hardworking, service-oriented, or someone you meet through your daily routine or work life. The marriage might not feel dreamy at first and it often takes effort, compromise, and maturity to make it thrive. If Venus is here, thereâs potential for love and affection, but it may need more nurturing. Sun can bring a proud or authoritative spouse, possibly career-driven, in some cases, can indicate a spouse who micromanages everything. Mars may cause conflicts or power struggles if ego isnât kept in check, while Saturn indicates a marriage that can be restrictive or loss of freedom in some way. Overall, itâs a realistic, grounded type of marriage that's less about fairytales, more about building something solid through shared effort. This can point to a marriage in the city, crowded areas, etc.
DK planet in 7th house - You tend to attract a spouse who balances or complements you in some way. If Venus is involved, the marriage is loving, romantic, and emotionally fulfilling. With the Sun, the partner may be confident, dominant, or admired socially and also the one who rules the roost. Mars adds attraction and passion, but can also bring occasional friction or power dynamics. Saturn may delay marriage or create a serious tone in the relationship, but it also promises loyalty and commitment over time. Overall, this placement supports a classic partnership that's public, impactful, and often karmically significant. Your family members usually approve of this relationship. This can point to a court-house wedding or wedding done in front of a government offical or in a church if you're religious.
DK planet in 8th house - A spouse who may trigger deep emotional or psychological changes in you, think soul-level growth, not surface-level romance. The relationship may involve secrets, trust-building, or unexpected life shifts after marriage. If Venus is here, thereâs emotional depth and sensuality, but the bond may go through highs and lows. Marital status would be secret or private. With Sun, the partner may be powerful or intense, sometimes dominating the relationship dynamic. Mars can bring passion but also volatility or control issues if not handled maturely. Saturn adds a heavy, serious tone, marriage may feel like a responsibility or come after hardship, but it can be deeply loyal and long-lasting. Both Mars and Saturn in RARE cases, point to the death of a spouse. Overall, itâs a life-altering kind of marriage, meant to shake you and shape you.
DK planet in 9th house - You may marry someone from a different background, country, or belief system or someone who expands your worldview. This placement leans toward intercultural, interfaith, or destination-style or elopement marriages, especially if thereâs travel or education involved. If Venus is here, the marriage is affectionate and idealistic, often built on shared values or philosophies. Sun brings a spouse whoâs respected, possibly a guide or mentor-type figure. Mars adds boldness; your spouse could be driven or adventurous, but debates over beliefs are possible. With Saturn, marriage might be more traditional, delayed, or with someone older or wise beyond their years. Overall, itâs a meaningful, growth-oriented union, often influenced by fate, travel, or purpose.
DK planet in 10th house - A partner who is goal-oriented, practical, and socially visible, someone who influences your image or helps elevate your professional standing. If Venus is here, the relationship blends love with shared ambitions or creative work but also status driven marriage or marrying for/into money. Sun brings a confident, possibly high-profile spouse who wants respect and recognition. Might expect you to treat them like a king/queen. Mars adds drive and motivation, but can also bring clashes over control or career priorities and can be a brat or childish at times. Saturn brings stability and marriage is a milestone but also staying for "reasons". Jupiter here brings luck and change of status after marriage. Overall, this points to a partnership built on mutual achievement, where love and ambition go hand in hand. This might point to a big wedding where the couple or their family throw a lot of money to show off.
DK planet in 11th house - The spouse might feel like your best friend first, or someone you meet through community events, online platforms, or mutual friends. It also points to a desire-based or wish-fulfillment marriage, the kind of relationship youâve always hoped for or dreamed of. If Venus is here, itâs a sweet, affectionate bond with a lot of fun and emotional connection. Sun brings a charismatic spouse with strong leadership vibes. Mars adds passion and energy, though occasional ego clashes over independence might happen. Saturn may delay marriage but ensures long-term support and loyalty. With Jupiter, the spouse is wise, optimistic, and growth-oriented, possibly someone from a well-connected or respected background and of higher status. Overall, this is a hopeful, fulfilling, and future-forward type of marriage, where partnership feels like a team built on dreams and shared visions. It can point to a destination wedding or an intimate wedding.
DK Planet in 12th House - The spouse is often someone private, emotionally deep, or from a different culture or country. Marriage tends to be unconventional, often secretive, long-distance, or even an elopement against family wishes. These unions may involve strong karmic bonds and spiritual growth, with relationships developing quietly behind the scenes. Sometimes, marriage happens in foreign lands or through hidden circumstances, and there can be challenges related to acceptance or social norms. Overall, itâs a marriage focused on emotional depth, privacy, and crossing traditional boundaries. With Rahu involved, elopement is highly likely with an unconventional spouse. With Mars, you might marry someone even against your own wishes (seen in some, not a fact). With Sun involved, a foreigner or different cultural background is likely, and spouse might be known for something in them.

hi anon! thank you so much for requesting!! so since this song came from a summer album, it gave me summer vibes... as in, a summer romance vibe. and who better to fill in the role than our favorite, italian reverie? presenting.... none other than theo nott!
warnings: google translated italian, fluff, angst, use of y/n.

song: bed chem, sabrina carpenter slytherin boy: theo nott
Italy in the summer was nothing short of magical. Ever since childhood, you had dreamt of wandering its sun-drenched streets, breathing in the scent of fresh espresso and warm pastries, getting lost in the hum of its language. Finally, after years of waitingâgraduation behind you, a job securedâyou seized the moment. Three months of careful planning had led to this: a solo summer in your dream country.
From the instant you arrived, Italy wove its spell around you. The rich culture, the lyrical cadence of the language, the way history seemed to press against the very walls of the citiesâit all made your heart swell. Rome for the first week, Venice for the second, Verona for the third, before returning home to England. A carefully mapped-out itinerary, structured yet bursting with anticipation. And yet, only two days in, the thought of leaving already felt unbearable.
Your schedule was packed, each day a whirlwind of exploration. Today, you were on a missionâto find the restaurant your coworker had raved about. But somehow, amidst the maze-like streets, you lost your way. A wrong turn led you somewhere unexpectedâquieter, tucked away from the usual tourist bustle. The air here felt different, carrying the aroma of fresh bread and roasted coffee.
That was when you saw it.
A small, unassuming cafĂŠ nestled into the corner of a street you hadnât intended to walk down. At first, you nearly passed it by, lost in thought, until your hip accidentally brushed against a potted plant perched on an outdoor table. As you bent down to set it upright, your gaze traveled to the buildingâsoft yellow paint, ivy cascading like a green waterfall over the doorway, curling around the windows as if cradling the cafĂŠ in a warm embrace.
Through the glass, maritozzo sat temptingly on display, golden and pillowy, just waiting to be devoured. Your stomach made the decision for youâyou stepped inside without another thought.
The cafĂŠ had a charm that was impossible to ignore. Dim lighting, shelves stacked with books worn from time, the quiet murmur of conversation blending into the clinking of porcelain. You spotted the perfect table by the window and moved toward it, but something stopped you. A pull, inexplicable yet undeniable, tugging you gently in another direction.
You turned.
There he was.
A classic Italian gentleman, effortlessly poised, his fingers curled around a porcelain mug. Dark curls framed his chiseled features, his presence magnetic, as if he had been waiting for someoneâperhaps, for you.
He sat there with an effortless grace, the kind that spoke of quiet confidence rather than arrogance. His strong jawline framed a face that seemed sculpted by the hands of an artistâsharp cheekbones softened only by the warm olive tone of his skin. His deep brown eyes, rich like freshly brewed espresso, carried an intensity that made it impossible to look away. They held stories, secrets, a depth that hinted at a life well-lived, or perhaps, one waiting to begin.
The soft curls of his dark hair, slightly tousled yet undeniably charming, brushed against his forehead, the kind you could easily imagine running your fingers through absentmindedly. His neatly pressed shirt, a shade of crisp white that contrasted beautifully against his sun-kissed skin, was unbuttoned just enough at the collar to suggest a sense of ease. The sleeves were rolled to his forearms, revealing toned muscles beneath, a glimpse of strength tempered by elegance.
As he lifted his coffee to his lips, the movement was deliberate, languid, as if savoring not just the drink but the moment itself. His fingersâlong, gracefulâcurled around the porcelain mug, and you couldn't help but wonder how they might feel tracing against yours.
There was something about himâan air of mystery, a quiet magnetismâthat pulled you in. A presence that demanded attention without asking for it. And in that instant, as the world outside continued to bustle on, he was the only thing that mattered.
His eyes locked onto yours, unflinching, electricâa mesmerizing shade of aquamarine that seemed almost unreal, like the sunlit waters of the Amalfi Coast. They held somethingâan unspoken challenge, curiosity, or perhaps recognition. A glint of amusement flickered beneath the depths, but there was something else too, something that sent a shiver down your spine. It was as if, in that single moment, he had unraveled you entirelyâseen you in a way no one else had.
The way they caught the light, reflecting hints of seafoam and cerulean, made them impossibly captivating, as if they carried fragments of Italy itself. And just like that, without a single word, you knewâthis summer, your summer, had shifted in a way you never anticipated.
Just like that, your summer had changed.
It didn't take long before you were at his apartment, tangled up in his sheets, bodies pressed close, the world outside forgotten, him feeding you strawberries with your head on his chest.
Your head rested against his chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat lulling you into quiet contentment. He reached for a strawberry, holding it delicately between his fingers before pressing it gently to your lips. The sweetness burst against your tongue, mingling with the lingering taste of his kiss, and somehow, it all felt so natural.
It was intimate in a way you had never experienced before. Here you were, in the arms of a total stranger, yet somehow, you felt safer than you ever had in a long time. It had barely been two hours since you met, and he already knew so muchâthe tender details of your childhood, the wistful echoes of your first love.
You exhaled, staring at the soft rays of the golden setting sun filtering through the window. Was it him, or was it simply Italy itselfâthe spell this country seemed to weave around everything and everyone? Were all Italian men this effortlessly charming, this easy to talk to, to surrender yourself to?
"Come mai la tua bella testolina è cosÏ silenziosa, hmm?" he murmured, large hands sliding down your hair and brushing it away from your face.
You giggled, reaching for another strawberry and placing it between his lips. "I already told you I don't understand a word of Italian..."
"I've heard I'm a very good teacher," he replied with that confident, lazy smirk of his. "I could show you Italy better than any..." he paused, furrowing his brows slightly to think of the word. "guida turistica..."
Once again, you giggled softly, the moment he pressed his lips to your fingers to lick up whatever was left of the strawberry his mouth had just stolen from you. "tour guide?" you asked, trying to provide him with the correct word.
"Si. Tour guide. I can be yours, if you like..." He punctuated his suggestion with a series of open mouthed kisses along your neck and collarbones.
And just like that, all plans of going to Verona and Venice were out the window, and you rescheduled your return trip to a whole month later than your original return date.
His name was Theodore Nott, but you called him Teddy for short.
He had somehow managed you to move into his penthouse, where you spent every morning waking up in his bed, and the scent of freshly brewed espresso all over the penthouse.
Every morning, without fail, he insisted on spoiling you. Before the sun had fully risen over the terracotta rooftops, before the city outside had begun to stir, he was already at work in the kitchen, crafting something newâsomething specialâfor you.
The aroma would reach you first, warm and inviting, coaxing you from sleep before his voice did. And then, there he was, standing at the edge of the bed, tray in hand, a knowing smile playing at his lips. He never let you lift a finger.
It was never the same meal twice. One morning, perfectly flaky cornetti dusted with powdered sugar, paired with rich, velvety cappuccino. The next, eggs cooked just right, fresh tomatoes bursting with flavor, crusty bread straight from the bakery down the street. Then, perhaps, a delicate frittata, infused with fragrant herbs, the kind only someone born into the heart of Italian cooking could master.
He knew what he was doing. Better than half the chefs you had encountered. Every bite was a revelation, every flavor precise yet effortless, as if he were drawing from an endless well of knowledge passed down through generations.
And there, in the quiet glow of morning light, the two of you would share more than just the meal. Between sips of coffee and bites of something impossibly delicious, the conversations flowedâdeep, unfiltered, woven with laughter and confessions.
It was indulgent, intimate in a way that felt rare, precious. You had never been cared for like this before, never been seen in such a quiet, effortless way.
And each morning, as he looked at you over the rim of his cup, you wondered how you could possibly go back to a life without this. Without him.
But both of you knew that this golden relationship you had wasn't meant to last. It would be over once the summer came to an end. It was nothing but a summer romance, no matter how real it felt.
Yet, despite knowing, neither of you spoke of it. The truth lingered between kisses, between laughter that melted into quiet sighs, between mornings wrapped in sheets that smelled of sun and him. It was thereâin the way his touch lingered a moment too long, as if memorizing the feel of you. In the way you watched him, tracing every detail, as if trying to capture something fleeting, something slipping through your fingers.
It wasnât just a romance. It felt bigger than that. Real, golden, drenched in the warmth of a summer that would soon end. But endings had a way of creeping in, of pressing against even the sweetest moments. The whispered promise of farewell was in every embrace, every shared meal, every sunset you watched together with unsaid words weighing in the silence.
And yet, despite it all, neither of you pulled away. Because for nowâjust for nowâit was enough. It had to be.
He was true to his word. He showed you Italy better than any tour guide would. All the intimate places he spent his time at, all the tourist spots... everything.
And he did it with a kind of quiet pride, as if sharing these places with you meant somethingâmeant more than just sightseeing. He led you through the winding alleys of Rome, past the bustling piazzas and into corners untouched by the hurried footsteps of tourists. The hidden cafĂŠs where the locals greeted him by name, the bookstore tucked away in a side street where he had spent lazy afternoons, the unmarked trattoria where the food was better than anything youâd find on a guideâs list.
But he didnât ignore the classics. He took you to the Colosseum when the sun was soft, when the crowds hadnât fully formed, so you could stand there in the open space and feel the weight of history pressing against your skin. He pointed out the details in Michelangeloâs work, things that even the guides didnât mention. He let you linger at the Trevi Fountain, grinning when you tossed a coin in and made a wish, teasing you about what it might be.
"What did you wish for, cara?"
"Would you like to know?" you replied with an air of mystery and a suggestive raise of your eyebrow.
Venice came next, the city that felt suspended between reality and dream. He showed you how the water reflected the light just right in the early evening, how the gondoliers sang not for show, but because music was woven into the cityâs bones.
And in Verona, he traced his fingers along the worn letters left at Julietâs wall, smiling as you read them, as you let yourself believeâfor just a momentâthat love like that could live beyond legend.
He gave you Italy. Not the packaged version, not the curated one. He gave you the one he loved, the one that had shaped him, the one that mattered.
And in doing so, it became yours too.
He showed you Italy, and you showed him your soul.
He had given you Italyâthe real Italy, the one written in hidden alleyways and the scent of fresh espresso, in the history etched into crumbling stone and the rhythm of a language that felt like poetry.
And in return, without meaning to, without even realizing it at first, you had given him pieces of yourself. The quiet corners of your heart, the stories tucked away for only the most deserving ears. The fears, the dreams, the moments that had shaped you. He saw them allâheld them gently, as if they were something precious.
And somehow, he remembered all of it.
The way your fingers moved when tying your lacesâquick, practiced, a subconscious rhythm you never thought twice about. The way you stirred your coffee absentmindedly, always three times, never more, never less. How your nose scrunched up ever so slightly before a sip, testing the temperature without thinking.
Then, of course, there was the pineapple on pizzaâyour unforgivable offense. He had gasped dramatically when you first admitted it, clutching his heart as if wounded by the mere thought.
"Mio Dio!" he had gasped, when he had first seen you put pineapple slices on your slice of the pizza he had spent four hours making for you at home, from scratch. "Stai rovinando tutto! This is a betrayal..." he declared, eyes alight with playful scandal, yet he still took your hand that evening, still kissed you like you belonged to every part of Italy.
And perhaps that was what struck you mostâhow easily he collected these pieces of you, storing them as if they were something worth keeping, worth cherishing.
It was fleeting, ephemeral, destined to fade when summer did.
But for now, he knew you, and you knew him.
It was unexpectedâthe way he let you in, the way he unraveled parts of himself that felt sacred, deeply personal.
He showed you the school where he had spent his earliest years, where he had first learned to chase dreams too big for a boy his age. He traced his fingers along the worn stone walls, the graffiti scrawled by restless students, and laughed as he recounted the trouble he used to get into, the teachers who never quite knew what to do with him.
Then, there was his childhood homeâa modest place tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, walls filled with echoes of the past. He told you about summers spent on that tiny balcony, about the way his father used to hum old songs while cooking dinner, about the arguments, the celebrations, the life that had unfolded within those walls.
But it was when he brought you to her grave that everything shifted. His motherâthe woman who had shaped him, guided him, loved him deeply, and left too soon. He didnât speak much at first, just stood there, quiet, thoughtful, fingers brushing the cool stone. Then, slowly, he told you about herâthe warmth of her presence, the lessons she had given him, the ache of losing her.
And in between, you lived with himâfully, unapologetically, as if time had no claim on the moments you shared.
You laughed until your stomach ached, until your cheeks hurt from smiling, until your laughter tangled with his and filled the spaces between you like music. You cried in ways you hadnât beforeânot from sorrow, but from honesty, from the weight of stories told that had never been voiced so openly.
Together, you existed in a space untouched by reality, wrapped in something golden and fleeting. Neither of you spoke of the end, but it lingered, always, just beneath the surface.
Yet, somehow, that made it all the more beautiful.
And you loved him.
You loved him like you had never loved anyone else in your entire life. And he knew it.
Tangled up in the sheets after yet another round of him completely rocking your world, your head was resting on his chest when you tilted your head to look into his eyes and whisper the two little words that you had learnt on Google just for him.
"Ti amo..."
His grin stretched wide, unmistakable, almost wicked in its delightâthe kind that sent a thrill down your spine, that made you wonder what thoughts ran through his mind in that exact moment. It was the kind of smile that could pull you in effortlessly, like a secret he was daring you to uncover, like he had already won a game you didnât know you were playing.
The corners of his mouth curled with satisfaction, his eyes gleaming with mischief, amusement flickering beneath the striking aquamarine depths. He leaned forward slightly, as if savoring the way the words hung in the air between you, his fingers tracing absent patterns against the table, his body relaxed, utterly at ease.
Without hesitating, he said it back, "anch'io ti amo, tesoro."
But all good things eventually come to an end, and within the blink of an eye, your summer had come to a close.
You had gotten to know his soul in depthâ every inch of him, every quirk, every flutter, every mark on his body. It was a lifetime of love experienced in one single summer.
A love that burned brightly, condensed into fleeting moments, yet carrying the weight of something much greater.
You knew him. Not just his laughter or his charm, but the quiet pauses between his sentences, the way his fingers twitched when he was deep in thought, the crease in his brow that only appeared when he spoke of things that truly mattered. You memorized the rhythm of his breathing, the softness of his voice just before sleep, the way his presence wrapped around you like warmth you never wanted to let go of.
Every mark on his body told a story, every scar a memory, every glance a secret shared only between the two of you. And in the golden stretch of those summer days, you traced them all, learning him in ways that felt impossibly permanent.
A lifetime of love, packed into stolen kisses beneath a foreign sky, into whispered conversations at dawn, into the soft pull of fingertips against skin.
And yet, when the season came to its inevitable close, when the sun dipped lower, signaling the end, you both knewâthis was exactly how it was meant to be.
No regrets. No bitterness. Just a summer that would live in your bones forever.
And when the time came, when the final days of summer settled upon you both like the last golden rays of the evening sun, there was no bitterness. No desperate clinging, no sorrowful goodbyes laced with regret.
You had known him completelyâevery detail, every quirk, every unspoken thought behind those aquamarine eyes. And he had known you just the same. There was nothing left unexplored, no corner of his world, or yours, left untouched.
Yet, this was how it had always meant to end. Not in heartbreak, but in understanding. A gentle farewell, filled with gratitude for what it had been, rather than grief for what it could not be.
Right person. Wrong time. Right place.
You stopped at the cafĂŠ where it all began one more time before he dropped you off at the airport.
It had been almost two months ago that you met him here, but now?
It felt like a lifetime ago.
And so, beneath the amber glow of the setting sun, with Italy wrapping itself around you like a final embrace, you made a promise.
Not one bound by desperation or longing, but by understanding. By the quiet certainty that, though your story was meant to end now, perhapsâjust perhapsâit wasnât meant to end forever.
"If youâre still single," you murmured, fingers tracing the rim of your coffee cup, voice steady but soft, "meet me here. Ten years from now. Same place, same table."
He studied you for a long moment, aquamarine eyes deep with something unreadableâsomething like hope, something like fate. Then, slowly, he smiled. A real one. A promise sealed with nothing but the weight of the unspoken.
"Ten years," he whispered softly, but you knew him well enough to know what he was saying. "If you find yourself lost, or lonely," he continued softly, looking at you longingly, like he wanted to tell you to stay, but he knew he would be asking too much. "Will you come find me?"
He looked like he was losing a part of himself that he had never realized was missing until he met you.
Your lips curved into a watery smile. "Of course I will..." you replied, your fingers gently brushing his jaw, the way you had done countless of times. "I'll always find you, Teddy..."
And just like that, leaving him was easier, leaving Italy was easier, carrying the summer in your bones, the memory of him pressed into every part of you.
Maybe youâd return. Maybe he would. Maybe, just maybe, the right person at the wrong time would, one day, become the right person at the right time.
He was your soulmate. You never believed in them before, but you certainly believed in them now.
With your pact in mind, of a futuristic promise, you had finally agreed to part ways.
And just like that, it was over.
No tears, no grand gesturesâjust a quiet understanding, a moment suspended in time, wrapped in the golden haze of a summer that had changed you both.
He had dropped you to the airport, and your heart felt heavy and full as you parted ways.
One last goodbye kiss.
One last fleeting touch.
One last look of his beautiful aquamarine eyes meeting yours.
And then, you turned your back on him and began to walk away.
"Wait," he had called right before you fell out of earshot.
You turned, pressing your lips together to stop yourself from making this farewell harder for you than it was supposed to be.
A moment of silence.
And then he spoke.
"Goodbye, Y/N," he murmured.
"Goodbye Teddy."
It was only when you had turned around fully and passed through the security gates that you allowed the tears to finally spill.
But you held hope in your heart.
You walked away, carrying the weight of what had been, the tenderness of shared mornings, the electricity of stolen glances, the laughter, the knowing, the loveâbrief but undeniable.
Yet there was no sadness in the goodbye. Because, in the heart of Rome, beneath the watchful gaze of history itself, you had made a promise.
Ten years. Same place. Same table.
And whether fate would honor such a pact, whether time would lead you back to him, was a mystery left to the future.
But for now, you carried him with you, and he carried you with him.
And maybeâjust maybeâItaly would call you home once more.
Ten years passed faster than you anticipated. The years slipped through your fingers like sand, faster than you ever imagined.
Lovers came, and lovers went. Life unfoldedânew places, new faces, fleeting romances that never quite ignited the way that summer had.
Theo was embedded into your soul. He was there in every, single thing you did. Your summer in Italy was no longer a distant memory, but a whole different lifetime, one that was etched so fiercely into your soul that it was a part of you. You lived, you loved, you lost, and yet, through it all, Theo remained.
Not in a way that haunted you, not in a way that stopped you from moving forward. No, he was simply thereâwoven into the fabric of your existence, stitched into the smallest, quietest moments.
It was in the smallest thingsâthe subconscious gestures, the habits formed over a lifetime. In the way you lingered at cafĂŠs with ivy-clad doors, in the way you stirred your coffee three times, in the soft ache that settled in your chest when the golden glow of evening light reminded you of the way his skin had looked beneath the setting Italian sun.
Your summer with him wasnât just a memoryâit was a lifetime, a part of you, embedded so deeply that no amount of time could erase it. It had shaped you, changed you, taught you things no other experience ever could.
Because that summer lived within you, etched into your very being, woven into the quiet moments of your day.
It was there in the way your lips curled into a soft, private smile whenever a passing scent reminded you of fresh espresso in a hidden cafĂŠ. In the way your fingers brushed against ivy-covered doors, lingering as if searching for something lost. In the way your heart skippedâjust barelyâwhen the evening light mirrored the golden glow of those long-forgotten afternoons.
It wasnât just a memorable summer vacation. It was a presence, a whisper of something untouchable yet undeniably real.
And whether the promise would be fulfilled or left behind in the folds of time, one truth remainedâItaly had never truly let you go.
And neither had he.
And now, here you were. Ten years later.
Standing in front of the cafĂŠ where it had all begun.
Heart pounding. Breath shallow.
Wondering if fate still had a place for the two of you.
The cafĂŠ still looks the same. The ivy overgrown a little more, the paint a little more faded and worn and the steps that lead to the cafĂŠ a lot more rough and round-edged.
You stepped inside, your breath shaky as you tuck your handbag underneath your arm, tilting your head back to shake the hair all away from your face.
Your heart in thumping, your fingers are sweaty as you look around once, a quick scan of your eyes across the room.
And everything stops.
Your breath catches.
Just like that, time collapses.
Ten years, a lifetimeâs worth of moments, all fading into insignificance the instant your gaze locks onto his.
Heâs there. Exactly where he said he would be.
The same table, the same quiet confidence, the same presence that had once unraveled you completely. But different tooâaged by experience, refined by the years that shaped him in your absence.
It's his eyes that give it awayâ that he's the same person as he was a lifetime ago, the same person you fell so hard for.
His eyesâimpossibly vivid, the color of sunlit tides and forgotten dreamsâburn into yours, a tether pulling you back, back to a time when love was effortless and fleeting, yet somehow eternal.
Yet, as his aquamarine eyes meet yours, as recognition flashes across his face, as his lips part ever so slightly in stunned disbeliefânone of that matters.
"Teddy," you whisper breathlessly, your eyes meeting his, the rest of the occupants of the cafĂŠ fading into a blurâ nothing else matters as much as him.
It takes two strides for him to reach you.
"Y/N," he pulls you into his arms, and your lips crash against his, tears spilling down your cheeks as you hear the golden sound of his voice calling out your name.
And you're finally home.
Because this was never truly a goodbye.
And somehow, somehow, it feels like the beginning all over again.

Lagna Lord Through The Houses
Each of the houses represents a specific "limb" of Kala Purusha or the personification of time. The first house or lagna is represented by the head, so wherever the lord or ruler of the first house sits in a person's chart is showing where their head is and where the willpower, intellect, body, and innate nature are being focused in the nativeâs life.
First House:
When the lagna lord is in the first house, you have a commanding presence with a strong, healthy body that exudes energy and vitality. People notice you right away from being drawn in by your confidence and physical strength. Your mind is sharp and clever, and you are always quick to think on your feet. However, you can be a bit fickle at times, changing your opinions or desires on a whim. Your willpower is undeniable, but it can sometimes lead to impulsive decisions or a struggle with long-term commitment. You thrive on action and excitement, but staying focused for the long haul could be a challenge for you.
Second House:
When the first house lord is in the second house, youâll find that your energy, intellect, and drive are all being focused towards building financial stability and securing your future. You likely have a strong, healthy body (when the rest of the chart permits), and your vitality is tied to your ability to earn and grow your resources. Youâre not just about the money, though. People see you as well-mannered, cultured, and respectable, someone who knows how to navigate social circles with ease. Your mind is sharp, leading you to roles like becoming a teacher or scholar, where your wisdom can really shine. You tend to see people as part of your extended family, treating others with warmth and generosity. With your wealth and strong character, you might find yourself in multiple committed relationships, as you have the means to support and nurture them. Youâre someone whoâs driven by the respect and stability you build for yourself and those around you.
Third House:
When the lagna lord is in the third house, you possess the courage and bravery of a lion, always ready to take on challenges and accomplish your goals with confidence. Desire for success follows you wherever you go, and you earn respect from your boldness and determination. Your intelligence shines through in everything you do, and you approach life with a sense of happiness and optimism, albeit with a subtle sense of entitlement. You might also find yourself with multiple spouses throughout your life as your personal qualities could create opportunities for multiple deep connections and relationships in your life.
Fourth House:
When the lagna lord is in the fourth house, most of your energy is being invested in matters of emotions, home, property, and the mother. You are strong and stable, with a strong emotional connection to your mother, bringing her much happiness and pride. You also enjoy a harmonious relationship with your siblings. Your passion and affection for those close to you is evident, and you tend to be the emotional anchor of your family. Property matters may be important to you, and you could find success in acquiring or managing assets. With good qualities and an appealing form, you naturally create an environment filled with love and warmth, earning respect and admiration from those around you. You are dedicated to your happiness and the happiness of those you hold dear.
Fifth House:
When the lagna lord is in the fifth house, you will find happiness through children and intelligent decision making. You will put most of your focus towards fifth house matters, such as speculative gains and future planning. You are moderate and reasonable, though there may be a possibility of facing challenges with your first child simply because the Lagnesh can be overpowering for the fifth house. You carry a strong sense of respectability but can be easily angered when things donât go according to your plans. Authorities tend to like and respect you, appreciating your wisdom and leadership. You are highly focused on making the right decisions, especially when it comes to guiding and supporting those who depend on you.
Sixth House:
When the lagna lord is in the sixth house, much of your energy will be directed toward dealing with litigation, arguments, enemies, health issues, and challenges. You may face frequent health complaints, leading to a sense of dissatisfaction with your physical well-being, or this could be channeled towards the benefit of others, such as in the case of doctors, lawyers, nurses, coordinators, etc. If malefic planets aspect the sixth house, you could experience more direct conflict and misfortune from these things. Without benefic aspects, you may also struggle with affliction and pain. This placement also creates a desire for self-improvement, particularly in changing habits or overcoming personal obstacles. Despite the challenges, you are driven to improve your circumstances and be of service to those around you.
Seventh House:
When the lagna lord is in the seventh house, your primary focus will be on matters related to your spouse, relationships, and partnerships. You are likely to place great importance on these connections and how they shape your life, and this may come at the cost of your independence or sense of autonomy. If the lord of the seventh house is a malefic planet, it can negatively impact the longevity of the relationship or the well-being of your partner. This placement also points to a strong involvement in trade, dealing with others frequently, and engaging in medium-distance journeys. Additionally, there may be a connection to themes of death, either through the partner or through your own conviction. Overall, your relationships and dealings with others will play a significant role in your lifeâs journey, and that can be good or bad depending on the specific elements involved.
Eighth House:
When the lagna lord is in the eighth house, your life will be influenced by the mysteries of the unknown, supernatural, and occult. There is a darkness to this placement that will produce increased focus on elements of crisis and hidden forces, such as in the case of debts or festering diseases. You may possess a natural skill in understanding these areas but also face karmic challenges, dealing with physical ailments that have difficult to cure, long-term effects. This placement can lead to a tendency toward dishonesty, thievery, in addition to an inclination towards anger, making you prone to conflicts and struggles. But with this placement, you lobe to fight. Interest in weapons may also be present, as well as adulterous tendencies and fixations considered taboo or eccentric. Matters of inheritance are significant, and you may experience sudden changes or transformative events involving loss, what comes after death, or hidden resources/outcomes of a transaction.
Ninth House:
When the lagna lord is in the ninth house, you are putting most of your energy towards pursuits relating to justice, spirituality, and humanity's higher purpose. Strong and respected beliefs and values are central to your life, and you will regularly seek out holy places through pilgrimage for guidance and connection. This placement brings good fortune and many blessings through the nullification of various ailments through the benefits that come with spiritual practice. Additionally, you're generally well-liked by others due to your wisdom and positive outlook. You tend to worship balanced and holy gods, embodying purity, righteousness, and holy surrender in your actions. You are clever and eloquent in speech, and you can express your ideas with clarity and impact. Happiness flows from your spouse, children, and the wealth you accumulate, overall creating a very balanced and fulfilling life.
Tenth House:
When the lagna lord is in the tenth house, your energy is primarily going to be focused on achieving power, authority, and success in your career and public life. You are driven to gain respect and fulfill your obligations, rising to positions of leadership, influence, and greater responsibility. Watch for arrogance, though. Your relationship with your biological father will be a source of happiness and comfort in your life, and you may receive substantial guidance or support from him. You are likely to earn honor and become well-known among the public, with a reputation built on your own efforts and quality of action. Popular and respected, you will accumulate self-made wealth, reflecting the extent of your hard work and determination.
Eleventh House:
When the lagna lord is in the eleventh house, your focus is strongly directed toward friendships, acquiring valuable possessions, and achieving prosperity. You are constantly striving for community, growth, and success, always seeking new opportunities for gain and mutual support. You are well-mannered and cultured, and you tend to attract respect from others for this reason. You enjoy popularity and fame on account of your temperament. This placement can also bring significant material indulgence, leading to a comfortable but possibly debauched life with multiple sources of gratification and support at your disposal. Your good qualities, such as generosity and humanitarianism, shine through, enhancing your reputation and overall success.
Twelfth House:
When the lagna lord is in the twelfth house, most of your focus in life will be on expenses, loss, and isolation, possibly feeling disconnected or far removed from others. You may spend a significant amount of time in states of deep introspection or meditation, which will be good for attaining spiritual boons. However, this placement also brings health complaints and discomfort in the body, similar to the challenges seen with the sixth house. If the Lagnesh is not aspected by or conjunct benefics, you may find yourself wasting money on unprofitable or unnecessary things, leading to financial instability. However, if other aspects of your chart support it, it could point to a life of extravagant spending and fame, stemming from the seclusion that arises from being isolated by society, but this time in a more beneficial way. You want your Lagnesh to be a benefic here. Otherwise, it will struggle. Additionally, there is a tendency for you to become easily angered with this placement. You are most psychically exposed and may lack strong boundaries.
Now, it is important to understand that the placement of the lagna lord shows where your energy and focus are directed, but not necessarily the quality of those experiences. To get a clearer picture of how things will unfold, you have to consider the sign it's in and any planets occupying that house. For instance, if Venus is your lagnesh in the 12th, youâll get a more positive manifestation of the Lagna placement, likely dealing with expenditures on lixurious items and foreign affairs that come as a benefit to you. But youâll also need to see what Venus is connected to specifically in your chart. If itâs in a planetary war with Mars, then youâre likely not going to see those same benefits because all of its resources are being agitated and redirected somewhere else.

25 Essential Principles for Black Conduct and Empowerment: A Garveyite Perspective
From a Garveyite perspective, Black people must uphold a code of conduct rooted in self-determination, unity, discipline, and economic independence to reclaim sovereignty and build a powerful Black world. Marcus Garvey emphasized that the liberation of Black people requires not just awareness but action, structure, and collective responsibility. Without a solid foundation of principles to guide conduct, Black people remain vulnerable to external control, disunity, and stagnation.
This analysis outlines 25 essential principles that Black people must adhere to for collective empowerment, ensuring that every aspect of lifeâfrom personal discipline to political strategyâaligns with Black self-reliance and Pan-African unity.
1. Prioritize Black Unity Over Petty Divisions
Black people must reject tribalism, nationality-based elitism, and class divisions that prevent global solidarity. Whether African, African American, Caribbean, or Afro-Latino, all Black people share a common struggle and destiny.
2. Be Loyal to Black Institutions, Not External Systems
Economic, educational, and political systems designed by non-Black entities often do not serve Black interests. Black people must build, support, and defend their own institutions to ensure self-governance.
3. Maintain Economic Discipline and Group Economics
Black people must spend, circulate, and invest money within their own communities rather than enriching non-Black businesses that do not support Black liberation. Wealth must serve the collective, not just the individual.
4. Reject Begging and Dependency
Garveyism teaches that self-reliance is the key to sovereignty. Seeking validation, reparations without self-building, or constant dependency on non-Black systems keeps Black people weak. We must create solutions, not wait for handouts.
5. Strengthen the Black Family Unit
A strong Black nation starts with strong families. Fatherhood, motherhood, and communal responsibility must be honoured. The intentional breakdown of the Black family is a tool of oppression, and reversing it is a revolutionary act.
6. Guard Black Cultural Identity Fiercely
Black culture must be protected from dilution, appropriation, and distortion. The global media industry manipulates Black culture for profit while degrading its revolutionary potential. Black people must reclaim their spiritual, artistic, and historical identities.
7. Reject Hyper-Consumerism and Materialism
Black empowerment is not measured by luxury brands, flashy lifestyles, or European standards of success. True power comes from ownership, land, and industryânot consumer status.
8. Develop Financial Literacy and Generational Wealth
Black people must prioritize financial education, investments, land ownership, and cooperative economics over short-term spending habits. Financial discipline determines power.
9. Master Self-Defense and Security
Black communities must be physically and strategically protected. Knowledge of self-defense, martial arts, and security strategies is essential to prevent exploitation, gentrification, and violence against Black people.
10. Respect and Elevate Black Women
Black women have always been at the forefront of liberation struggles. They must be honoured, protected, and empowered, while rejecting both misogyny and feminism that devalues traditional African family structures.
11. Reject White Validation and Seek Black Excellence
Seeking approval from white institutions, corporations, or governments weakens self-worth. Excellence must be defined on Black terms, not Western standards.
12. Eliminate Self-Hatred and Colourism
Black people must dismantle anti-Black programming, including colourism, texturism, and Eurocentric beauty standards. Loving Blackness is a revolutionary act.
13. Be Politically Aware but Not Emotionally Manipulated
Black people must engage in politics with strategic awareness, rather than blind emotional allegiance to parties that do not serve Black interests. Power is taken, not asked for.
14. Prioritize African Spirituality and Indigenous Practices
African spiritual systems have been demonized and replaced with religious systems that pacify Black resistance. Black people must reclaim ancestral knowledge and reject systems that promote blind obedience over empowerment.
15. Train Black Youth for Leadership and Legacy
Black children must be educated in liberation philosophy, economic empowerment, and self-discipline from an early age. The next generation must be trained, not just inspired.
16. Reject Degenerative Media and Narratives
Music, television, and films that promote self-destruction, hypersexuality, and violence against Black people must be rejected. Media that elevates, educates, and empowers Black minds must be supported.
17. Demand Accountability from Leaders
Black leadersâwhether political, religious, or socialâmust be held to strict ethical and strategic standards. Personality cults and blind allegiance lead to betrayal and stagnation.
18. Build Pan-African Alliances Instead of Isolating Movements
No single Black community or nation can thrive alone. Black people worldwide must work together to secure land, resources, and industries.
19. Promote Self-Discipline and Mental Strength
A weak and undisciplined mind is easily controlled. Black people must master self-discipline in thought, habits, and actions to create a powerful global presence.
20. Reclaim the Warrior Spirit of Our Ancestors
African history is filled with warriors, revolutionaries, and empires that resisted colonization and slavery. Black people must embrace the warrior spirit rather than glorifying passivity.
21. Master Technology and Control the Digital Space
The future is digital, and Black people must own, develop, and master technology rather than being just consumers. Controlling media, cybersecurity, and AI is critical for sovereignty.
22. Protect and Defend Black Land and Resources
Black communities and nations must protect their land, agriculture, water sources, and raw materials from foreign control. Land ownership equals power.
23. Reject Integration as the Ultimate Goal
Integration into white society is not liberation. The goal must be nation-building, sovereignty, and Black self-governance, not assimilation.
24. Reject Criminality and Sabotage from Within
Internal destructionâwhether through gang violence, betrayal, or corruptionâkeeps Black people weak. Code of conduct, integrity, and accountability must be upheld.
25. Make Black Consciousness and Excellence the New Standard
Mediocrity, victimhood, and aimless entertainment must be replaced with a culture of Black excellence, Pan-Africanism, and mastery of knowledge and power.
Conclusion: The Path to Black Sovereignty Is Discipline, Strategy, and Unity
From a Garveyite perspective, the liberation of Black people is not a dream but a responsibility. Without a strict code of conduct, discipline, and self-determination, Black people will remain vulnerable to exploitation, division, and external control.
Marcus Garvey built the largest Black organization in history because he understood that power comes from order, strategy, and a clear set of guiding principles. These 25 rules serve as a modern framework for achieving Black sovereignty, economic independence, and Pan-African unity.
The question is: Will we have the discipline to follow them?

Development of Vulcan attachment styles and in relation to telepathy: an analysis based on human developmental psychology and trek lore - P.1
I have been taking psychology classes in Uni and thinking about the development of attachment in Vulcan culture/civilisation
(Author's note- familial bonding in Vulcans is not exactly plainly stated in any Memory Alpha page, but it seems implied at the very least- either way, I might be borrowing from fanon.)
Attachment, in (human) children, develops toward their primary care-taker from the moment their cognitions allows object permanence, generally solidifying into an attachment structure at ~4-5 years old.
The behaviours from caretakers that encourage the development of a secure attachement style are, according to Boyd and Bee (2015) to keep the child in a calm, safe and non-stressful environment, to not let it cry too long before satisfying their needs, to encourage contact with others and to allow for exploration periods while also ensuring a reassuring and secure presence. Moments of synchrony between the caretaker and very young child allows the child to understand habits, and that their need are met with constancy, building the trust between the child and the caretaker.
Now, depending on these interactions in early childhood, a child can develop one of four internal models of attachments.
Secure attachment: The child will search the proximity of it's attachement figure (primary caretaker) after a separation or a stressful situation and will use it as a base of security when exploring
Anxious-avoidant attachment: The child avoids the contact to it's attachment figure and does not seem to prefer it to other people.
Insecure-ambivalent attachment: The child has a tendency to go on few explorations and seems perturbed when separated from it's attachment figure, but isn't secured when it returns or tries to comfort the child.
Disorganized/disoriented attachment: The child seem confused or afraid, and adopts contradicting behaviours with the attachement figure.
Now, in Vulcans, if we assume attachment is still a part of their development, how does telepathy and familial bonds play into it?
Telepathic bonds developed naturally between parents or close caregivers and children would play a great part in the development of attachment, as the bond would be the best indicator of the child's need, ensuring they are fulfilled. Also, despite Vulcan's general impassivity, such bond would allow them to give emotional feedback to their children, allowing them to feel, rather than see, the love, care, security and reassurance they needed from their parents/caregivers. As the child grows up, it would allow for the explorative behaviours crucial in the development of attachments, with the child being strongly aware of the strong base of security they have with their parents. It is why to outsiders Vulcan child appears more independent and detached, because they physically seek their parents for comfort less, benefiting from a mental reassurance if needed. As the child grows, frequent meld with attachement figures could be used both as displays of affections and as a safe place where the child could express and show their emotions to their parents while they learned to regulate them in the Vulcan way.
Now, what would be the implications of such a method for the development of attachment for a hybrid child like Spock, who might have not been able to naturally bond with his primary caretaker, his mother, a psy-null human, and who had a father we know never melded with him? And for Saavik, a half-romulan who's Vulcan parents likely died when she was very young and whose Romulan parent probably never met, who did not have a stable figure in her life until T'Pren and then lost her, and then only had a proper caregiver when Spock took her in?
Because these two in particular can be good examples of Anxious-Avoidant (Spock, namely in The Naked Time, Amanda's conflicting demands of him in Journey to Babel and the distance with Sarek, and him leaving for Gol when his feelings for Jim grew too much) and Insecure-Ambivalent (Saavik's aggressivity to anyone except Spock when on Symmetry in The Pandora Principle, her feeling still stuck in the events of her past later in her life, which lasted until Hellguard was destroyed.)
There's a lot of potential exploration I might do another time, and maybe this is all wrong because it's human psychology applied to Vulcans, but hey.
