DAY 3 | Wish That I Could (4/4)
Nina: You know, I’m really loving this whole “love guru” vibe Frankie has going with Hikaru. He certainly can use all the help he can get. Realizing just how much he’s messed up his chances in the Villa, Hikaru is in full blown strategy mode to salvage his game here on Love Island. If he’s gonna be America’s Favorite Couple, he’ll have to get on everyone’s good side sooner rather than later. But how can such an ice cold presence be expected to thaw his heart out on such short notice? He better figure it out, because this challenge is certainly gonna call for all types of vulnerability and intimacy!
Next time on Love Island: our islanders test their skills of deduction and seduction!
@galaxsims @regalllove @ommsims @queenofmyshuno @storiesbyjes2g
Beginning | Previous | Next
Hikaru: [heavy sigh] Ah, son of a bitch.
Frankie: What’s with you?
Hikaru: My chances of salvaging any opportunity to stay in here are tanking over on the day beds.
Frankie: Wait, huh?
Frankie: Wait, are you still holding out hope on repairing things with Manny? Why? That girl is the queen of burning bridges.
Frankie: You’d be better off with literally anyone else.
Hikaru: Who the hell else am I supposed to go for?
Hikaru: Felicity hates me, Tori’s doe eyed over Tucker, I don’t think Camryn likes literally anyone, and Yana’s not even got her head in the game. Unless someone new traipses in here before the next recoupling, I’m pretty much screwed for choice, and almost guaranteed to be dumped the next round.
Frankie: Stop trying to predict the future! You’re not doing yourself any favors. [sigh] Look, I still think Manny’s a lost cause. But I’ll give you some advice that will work whether you choose to go grovel on your knees to her or not. It’s called: vulnerability.
Hikaru: What’s that got to do with anything?
Frankie: Everything. I can guarantee no one in the Villa - except me, of course - trusts you.
Frankie: Considering it’s kinda the foundation of any relationship's survival, you’re not in a good position. So what do you do to fix it? Stop being such a stick in the mud. Let your guard down. Let people know even the most miniscule detail about what makes you…you.
Hikaru: [deep sigh] That’s…hard.
Frankie: [So, what? This is it then?]
Hikaru: I can’t…I can’t just let go that easy. You don’t understand the pressure I’m under--
Camryn: [I GOT A TEXT!]
[cheers and running]
Islanders, prepare to head out to participate in your very first challenge! #getyourgamefaceon
Camryn: Looks like we’ve got our first challenge!
[whoops and cheers]
Joey: A challenge, huh? Looks like we can have that rematch sooner than we thought, huh Tuck?
Tucker: Looks that way. May the best man win.

If requests are still open, I was wondering if you could write how your oc's would react to a darling who becomes very clingy and cuddly when they are on their period? If not that's totally fine! I love your oc stories :)
Tumblr media
Thank you! Also this is so cute..and relatable
This story contains: talk about periods, light talk about a wetsports kink, salem being gross as always, talk about period sex, blood kink?
Tumblr media
Theodore
He actually isn't too used to affection
Of course he loves when you're hugging him from behind while he's cooking or even giving him a kiss while he's cleaning but he doesn't expect it everyday
Theo would definitely be the type to know when you're on your cycle before you do so he is prepared
I'm talking snacks, pads/tampons depending on your choice, heating pad he's got it all
He totally checks your cycle mostly cause he wants to know when is the perfect time to have a baby with you
He loves your affection but he is a man who feels like he can't just sit around and cuddle though you can convince him easily
He wants to spoil you always so he would definitely take care of you so he will take care of you then do what he needs to while you sleep
"sweetheart, I should get started on dinner. It's getting late and there's a lot to get done"
"Mmm, let's order food you cook too much just relax"
Theo eyed you as you snuggled close to his chest clearly trapping him in bed preventing him from going anywhere. He absolutely loved you so he couldn't say no
"alright sweetheart, but you do have to let me go so I can order food.."
"five more minutes.."
Hikaru
He is like a hissy cat that you want to cuddle but won't let you
Truth is...hikaru doesn't know how to show affection and of course he is dense about the female body
You have to spell it out for him
He of course bitches about cuddles but he is so damn touch starved that he accepts it
As far as taking care of you? He does it but he's annoying about it the whole time.
You are so annoying in his eyes but he refused to let you cuddle anyone else not even a pillow
You can use your cycle to bully him a bit cause he loves you too much to degrade you while you're in pain
"kittyyyyy~"
Hikaru let out a low growl as he threw his hair in a ponytail now walking into the bedroom clearly annoyed by the nickname but the sight of you curled up in pain made his eyes soften.
"what do you want?"
"come here, I need you kitty.."
Hikaru sighs as he walked towards the bed and crawled in laying to face you only to feel you reach and take his hair out of a ponytail with a devilish smirk.
"oi, [y/n] what the hell are you up to"
"you're so pretty kitty.."
Hikaru found himself getting flustered and he simply scoffs before softly flicking your forehead before trying to hide his blush by nuzzling his face in your neck.
"shut it piggy, you're so damn weird sometimes"
You knew he was trying to say that he loved you in his own special way
"you wanna go and get me snacks?"
Hikaru snapped his eyes to you clearly giving you a death glare, he definitely was going to strangle you
"o-or I could ask someone else to d-"
"FUCK NO I'LL DO IT!"
You snickered at hikaru got out of bed now cursing under his breath while pulling his hair back in a ponytail
"stay here damn it, I'll be back you don't need anyone else to take care of you"
Axis
Cute if you think he isn't cuddling you all day anyways
Axis depends on you all the time so if you tell him that you need cuddles he is ready
He tries his best to help you
You are stuck in bed cuddling with him always
He is always kissing and loving up on you
"axis?"
"hmmmm?"
"I have to pee..."
Axis simply moved ontop of you now fully trapping you and he laid his head on your chest to listen to your heart beat, he clearly was not moving anytime soon
"I'm comfy, super comfy"
"axis, babe...I really have to pee"
Axis turned his head towards you so his milky eyes locked with yours before he simply brushed some hair out your face before giving you a sweet grin
"better hold it, cause I'm not moving...or you could just go..right here on the couch"
With that the male pressed his knee right against where your bladder would be before snuggling up to you while digging his knee deeper
What an evil boy.
Prince
He loves your affection and all
Don't expect him to be helpful during those times though
He'll get you pads but..
"babe what's your pussy size? We talking phat or what?"
He will be totally pouty if you deny him sex during your period
Like what do you mean y'all can't fuck?!
All in all he is for your sweet cuddly behavior though careful cause cuddle him too much and he's humping you
"prince?"
"yeah?"
"you're poking me"
Prince grinned as he locked his arms around your waist tighter now grinding against you slyly, he knew exactly what he was doing he just wanted to drive you insane.
"yeah? Can't help it you know what happens when we cuddle, I just get so fucking horny"
You turn to face him hoping that will stop his grinding but now he just moved ontop of you pinning your hands above your head with a smug grin
"don't play with me [y/n] or I swear to God this whole week I'll fuck you so hard your legs will be shaking"
You had two choices now, you could deflect his advances or you could make him snap...you decided with the last choice.
"prove it."
Yuki
You're taking to the cuddle king right there
He sleeps 90% of the day so cuddling with him isn't hard
Play with his hair who you cuddle though that's a must
As far as helping you and taking care of you...he's kinda useless
He'll get snacks but that's about it
He tries his best but yuki just isn't experienced enough with that
"[y/n]...I'm back."
You hop off the couch to greet your boyfriend who has went out to get you snacks, he's been gone almost all day so the first thing you did was hug him tightly
"what took you so long?!"
"Mmm, got sleepy..took a nap.."
You glared at yuki who merely glanced away avoiding your eye contact knowing full well he was going to get scolded.
"you shouldn't sleep in public so causally it's dangerous!"
"too loud.."
With a pouty huff you went and laid back on the couch soon feeling him join you, he pressed his head on your chest while locking his arms around you tightly with a low and soft sigh
"sleepy.."
You ran your fingers through his hair before planting a soft kiss onto his face feeling him nuzzle against your chest...he was so soft and cute!
Salem
Okay let's just put it out there.... y'all are going to fuck during that entire week
Salem is basically an animal
I like to the think that he would smell the blood and just go crazy and feral and horny
Definitely wants to eat you out all day everyday
He wouldn't leave you alone at all
Salem pressed his nose against your clothed privates, damn you for wearing pants. Salem gave you a devilish grin before yanking your pants down before just drooling over the scent of you
"salem! I just wanted to cuddle!"
"b-but- [y/nnnnnnn]"
Salem licked your underwear drool dripping all over you as he trailed his hands under your shirt with a devious little giggle. He loved touching you, it was his favorite thing to do and honestly he just didn't know how to stop
"tasty [y/n]~"
It was clear salem was getting what he wanted no matter how much you scolded him.
Rocket
He definitely loves your cuddles but he doesn't like just laying around for long periods of time
He is super active so he would want to get up and do something
You'll totally have to force him to lay with you after a while cause he would get so antsy
He's also useless when it comes to caring for you during your period
He will get you what you need but as far as laying around cuddling? Eh.
He definitely wants to but he is kinda paranoid about becoming lazy
"stay still!"
Rocket twitched lightly as you laid ontop of him with your face nuzzled into his chest, he was supposed to have a morning workout but you were in pain and wanted cuddles so he rushed to your aid and now he was shaking and twitching due to his absolute need to at least run around or something
"h-hey babe? How about a bath? I'll run you a nice relaxing bath yeah?"
You looked up at him with a sweet smile that made him melt, god did he love you
"sure as long as you join me.."
With that you got off him and you've never seen him rush off faster in your life. Rocket of course ran a bath but whole the water was filling up he was doing push ups trying to exert all this intense pent up energy.
This week was going to kill him if he had to lay in bed all day, he would absolutely go insane but the things he did for love.
Scarlett
Scarlett is a soft goth girlfriend..cuddling is always wanted.
She of course will craft you up a remedy to ease your pain or do anything to settle your discomfort
She will be the type to hum soothingly while she is cuddling with you
She usually likes being the big spoon but she'll be the little spoon if you want
She is usually somewhat distant with work but during these times she would definitely be at your beck and call
"is the medicine wearing off my love? I can make some more if you wish?"
You held onto her tighter now not wanting her to leave your side and she felt this now giving a soft giggle before running her fingers through your hair.
"alright, I suppose I can stay a tad bit longer. You're so cute"
With that she planted a sweet kiss onto your cheek while her eyes gazed away her mind clearly thinking of something but she tightened her grip on you letting you know that she was here for you and for whatever you needed

AEW Double or Nothing 2021
In which the spirit of WCW is alive in confusing and delightful ways and we are left to parse whether overbooking and extracurriculars are offset by having actually very good wrestling happening at the same time.
- Lessons learned from Revolution on the production side? Maybe just cool it on pyro, though the rappelling adventure in the Stadium Stampede showed some of that now-characteristic 'trust us it'll look better on TV' flair. Hot crowd tends to paper over most woes, and the crowd was pretty hot. My one gripe is that the casino theme is hanging around like yesterday's takeout containers. Nothing wrong with clinging to a theme, I just think it's time for season 2. My suggestion? Under the Sea.
*Pre-Card Serena Deeb (C) v Riho for the NWA Women's Championship (***1/2) - Serena Deeb's star has finally risen. She's a remarkably consistent technician and she can get a match out of anyone at this point. She's working at the level of Mercedes Martinez or Madison Eagles at this point, it's amazing that she was overlooked or considered fit only to be a coach for so long. With the NWA belt she has this new swagger, she's basically everything Tessa Blanchard might bring to the table with none of the downsides (Serena has a lot of friends and seems like a lovely person, even!) - Riho's back and here to stay. Her time in Stardom didn't do much for my evaluation of her, which is that there are many better wrestlers that would be better representatives of the joshi style and she's merely pretty good. - The match was very good. Serena showcased a champion's aggression against a sympathetic Riho, they really work well against each other, Deeb's technical prowess against Riho's flexibility led to a very dynamic finish.
*Main Card Hangman Adam Page v Brian Cage (***1/2) - Here the shenanigans start. Brian Cage is on Team Taz, Team Taz has nothing else much to do tonight, so why wouldn't Team Taz flex their muscles, bait us with HOOK, etc? (Because it would be nice to have some variety in the card in terms of a match where one competitor stands across from another competitor?) - Hangman is (checking notes) yeah, still over as fuck, as befits the Anxious Millennial Cowboy. Cage terrifies me, he's a child's drawing of a body builder. He do be very agile for a man of his immense musculature tho. They match up well, Page is biggish for a flyer, Cage loves to play catch. Nothing much to write home about, other than Hangman's beautiful moonsault to the floor and what was overall a very good curtain jerker. - Okay fine, I am curious about Cage's reluctance to lean on the goons, Starks can't come back soon enough.
The Young Bucks v Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston (***) - I will not be referring to Mox & Eddie as (The) Wild Things because it gives me 'he calls it the wacky line' flashbacks for some reason. - The Bucks have to cheat and abuse Rick Knox's attention span constantly to be on even footing with Mox & Eddie, which is a clever sort of thing that gets washed out by the appearance of LG and Karl Anderson, which again, is cool in a vacuum but was the story of the evening. - Pace was weird - repetitive in eliminating Eddie, then Mox fights back, failed hope spot, Bucks team up, Eddie saves x2/3 in a row. - Mox, unlike Cody (in so many ways,) will probably actually be taking some time off with Renee, which is the kind of thing I would prefer not to know in terms of booking, but they really uh, put him down on the canvas here, and it felt pretty finale-esque.
Casino Battle Royale (n/r, but on the balance pro) - Any changes to the theme of the PPV would likely include changing up the nonsense suit format of these largely joyless slogs. - Obviously anticipating a NJPW talent, or... I dunno, actually -- Lio Rush was a surprise. Got in a quick demonstration of his otherworldly quickness, and you know what, there's probably a fun place for him in AEW. He'll need some friends, of course, feel like Team Taz might fit his temperament. I wonder if he was aware of the Mark Henry news... - Christian does not need to win this kind of match to get a title shot, obviously, but that said it was super lovely to use him to give Jungle Boy the shine. Jungle Boy would be a license to print money if he was even as big as Hangman. - Could register some continued griping about how Penta is not getting his due in AEW but he also literally was dressed as the Joker so I'm low on sympathy on this one particular night.
Anthony Ogogo v Cody Rhodes (*) - I did not like this. It's hard for me to read jingoism as a face move to begin with, and Cody's was egregiously tone deaf and kinda silly yet delivered without a trace of irony because Cody doesn't do irony on purpose, ridiculous neck tattoo aside. - Great argument to be made that Ogogo just isn't experienced enough to be winning matches against Cody. But like, what are we doing here? Cody needs to take some time off, maybe. I thought that's what was happening when he had his mini feud with Penta that really just ended in quick decisive Cody win. I though maybe Cody was being turned when QT and The Factory snapped-- sure, they're a group of impotent player 2s, but Cody is an out of touch elitist with a callous and manipulative streak. Alas, also no. America #1. - Cody is approximately 8 times as tough as Billy Gunn based on his weathering of the one punch man. Match ran a bit long given how little there was to go on. Cody gigged? Quelle surprise. - Cody had the best match on the card like, 3 out of the first 4 AEW events or something, and that was all booking and storytelling. I do hope Cody follows Moxley's lead into a little sabbatical.
Miro (C) v Lance Archer for the TNT Championship (**1/2) - Card's hossiest hoss match, a quick burst reminiscent of a car wreck. Absolutely hit on what it should've hit on but a little slow moving considering it went all of 10 minutes. - I will not complain about Jake the Snake, who I love. And also the gimmick spot, with Miro very astutely yeeting what was definitely a snake in a bag (surely.) back down the tunnel.
Dr Britt Baker, DMD v Hikaru Shida (C) for the AEW Women's Championship (***) - Picked up a lot of steam toward the end but seemed a little toothless (heh) until the last five. - Shida 'deserved' some more time as champion in front of crowds but also it's time to let heel Britt reach her peak, I can't even imagine how obnoxious she can be as the champ, it's going to be great.
Sting & Darby Allin v Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky (***1/2) - Such is the power of STING that I feel like I might be underrating this match... I mean it was an okay match about very simply getting some revenge and the sixty year old man did a very subdued Code Red and a slightly less subdued dive. He's also Sting. They missed an opportunity in calling it the 'Scorpio' Death Drop, but the main takeaway here is you see something like this where it's The Icon and you start to understand why WWE trots out their legends to come out of incredibly still kick ass without bending their knees. - The difference, I guess, is that Sting is absolutely being used to build up Darby Allin, whereas it's not like the fed brought back Goldberg and his attendant aura to pump up... anyone but Goldberg?
Kenny Omega (C) v PAC v Orange Cassidy for the AEW World Championship (****) - Off the top I have to say I'm very sad that the rest of the Galaxy's Greatest Friends were seen only very briefly, nice of them to bring OC's backpack. - Also have to point out that PAC's promo featured one of my favourite jokes, that Kenny must be short for Kenneth as a sort of legal/birth name belonging to a professional wrestler. (See also: Samoa Joseph) - And Mr Cassidy certainly did try in this match, ragdoll sells and all. Kenneth and PAC are absurd talents who bring aerial, power and technical maneuvers in equal measure and OC is not doing any of those on the same level, but he picked his spots, showed his genre savvy and hung in there to the point that he wasn't just the fall guy. - The extracurriculars continue in a match that was already a little overboard for silliness due to asymmetry... I think if you're the Invisible Hand it would've made sense to save up all your tricks for this match, but who am I to question the golden goose? - Sure, Kenny and Don ran the classic heel manager interference spot and taking out the ref in desperation spot but having to take out the ref because PAC wouldn't break the hold is fun, as is the stupid/inspired sense in running the 'smash opponent with the belt' spot four times so as none of your heavy gold prizes feel left out. (I love that AAA Mega Championship, they weren't on TV so we get to see it?) - "Fuck You, Don," indeed.
The Inner Circle v The Pinnacle in 'Stadium Stampede II' (***1/2) - This one had to grow on me for two reasons, first that it's usually pretty unforgivable to co-opt the main event spot from the championship match, and second to law of diminishing returns on dumb gimmick matches. - But grow it did. There's a full on meat locker? Commentary will refer to a cardboard cut-out of Shahid Khan as Tony Khan's father (that's canon now,) and Jericho will lovingly pat it? Konnan happened to be the DJ at whatever night club there is a Jaguar Stadium? Spears surrounds himself dramatically with chairs and his hoisted by his own petard? - Ultimately it comes down to letting Sammy shine. His involvement with the Inner Circle has sometimes come at the cost of being able to showcase that prior to AEW he was an ascendant talent in PWG, on his way to Ricochet level feats of acrobatic excess. Still feel like Sammy could've/should've been the one tossed off the cage a few weeks ago, but even better is being the guy getting the pin in the ring.

Chapter Thirty Three
Poll Result: Yes
With nothing else to offer but beer, Takashi decided it wouldn’t hurt if they continued to drink in the safety of his apartment. With the weekend at their heels they didn’t have to worry about staying up too late and their friends probably weren’t going to come home until much later, leaving Haruhi locked out for a while. They might as well make the best of this inconvenience.
He nodded to her and she brought over to more beers. Takashi popped off the lids for them and they enjoyed a few more sips.
“Do you often attend those parties?” Haruhi asked, swirling her drink inside the bottle.
Takashi shook his head, “They’re not my type of party.”
Haruhi chuckled, “Yeah, same here. The music was too loud and everyone was too… too…”
“Much.” Takashi finished, smiling to himself.
“Yes, way too much,” Haruhi agreed, taking another sip, “but it’s Hikaru and Kaoru’s scene. At least they’re having fun.”
“I’m not worried about them,” Takashi admitted.
Haruhi smiled, “I’m not either. They have Kyoya and Tamaki there. If anything I’m worried about the rest of the people. Who knows what kind of trouble our friends might cause.”
They shared a small laugh, having to agree with her sentiment. Although they grew up with elegant galas and strict dancefloor formalities, they also knew how to let their hair down and have fun. Hopefully no one was in a five foot radius of them when they did.
Haruhi finished off her bottle and leaned back on her hands, “So Mori-senpai, how have you enjoyed your time at university? What do you do for fun?”
Takashi finished off his as well and took a moment to think her question over. It was in this moment when he realized just how unexciting his university years have been. What has he done over the past two years? He originally wanted to wait for his friends to join him and Mitsukuni, knowing it would be much more fun when they were all together, but was he really just waiting for her?
“I practice kendo in the dojo with Mitsukuni and I visit the library.” He said after a while.
Haruhi waited for him to continue but when he didn’t she said, “That sounds nice. Would you mind if I joined you the next time you go to the library? I usually go only when I need to but it’s very pretty there, I wouldn’t mind spending an afternoon by the garden.”
Takashi smiled, “Of course.”
He got up and retrieved two more beers. He handed Haruhi an opened one and sat down in his seat to open his bottle.
“How late do they usually stay out?” Haruhi asked, starting on her third beer.
Takashi shrugged, “Late. Last time I heard them in the hallway around 4am.”
Haruhi groaned, “Oh great. I hope I’m not putting you out by staying here.”
Takashi quickly shook his head, “I’d rather you wait here than wait in the hallway.”
Haruhi sighed and leaned back on her hands, “Yeah that’s true. I wouldn’t want to go back to the party either. Thank’s senpai, I really appreciate it.”
They slowly finished their bottles in comfortable silence, appreciating that they didn’t feel pressed to fill the space with small talk. They didn’t need to entertain each other as they did for their guests in the hos club. They weren’t high schoolers trying to please their paying customers. They could sit in their solidarity and enjoy the mutual rest from words.
Haruhi shifted to her knees to stand up and took their empty bottles, placing them in the recycling bin. She brought back two more and handed one to Takashi. Just as she handed him the bottle she noticed his hand swayed a little to the right. She figured she imagined it and sat down beside him so he could pop her lid.
Her mind felt a little fuzzy but she assumed she was starting to get tired. It was getting late and if the twins didn’t return soon she feared she might have to ask to spend the night again. She took a deep breath and her vision blurred for only a second. Maybe she’s more tired than she thought.
She rested her head on his shoulder while he worked on opening their beers, not minding how her head jerked along with his movements. He handed her her drink and took a sip of his.
“Are you feeling alright?” He asked her, looking down to see her face. He noticed a red blush across her cheeks.
“Yeah, I’m just tired.” She said, nuzzling her head against his shoulder.
He used the back of his hand to check her forehead for a fever. Her skin was warm but he wasn’t sure if it felt feverish. “”Do you want to sleep?”
Haruhi nodded, “Yeah, I’ll probably fall asleep soon. Sorry senpai, I hate to intrude.”
Takashi wrapped his arm around her and hugged her side, “You’re not intruding if I’m offering. You’re fine Haruhi.”
“You know senpai, you’re really strong.” She said, not noticing how her words dipped, “You’re an amazing person. You’re so strong and kind and you help me out so much. I’m really glad to know you.”
She didn’t know why but feeling his arm around her felt so nice. He was very strong, stronger than he had been in high school and it showed. She remembered the tall boy from high school with a toned chest and thick arms but he had grown into the man now sitting beside her. She could see the muscles he worked hard for in his biceps, his back, his thighs… his abs.
She immediately thought back to when she accidentally caught him in a towel. She had been frozen in shock and stared at him for a moment too long before she snapped to her senses. But in those three seconds she saw the most sexy body she had ever seen. That image would forever be etched in her memory, either as a curse or a souvenir she wasn’t sure yet.
Takashi felt his cheeks get really hot and looked down to see Haruhi idly watching him. Her beautiful chocolate eyes seemed to be glossed over with what he assumed to be exhaustion. He should probably get his bed ready for her soon.
He leaned down to shift onto his knees but was stopped immediately. Haruhi lurched forward and kissed him.
Should Takashi kiss her back? - Vote Here (poll will close by 5:00pm ETS)
Next chapter update should be up by 7:00pm(ETS)
You probably saw that coming but it does make for good content. Also, I am exploring the idea that is the first time either of them has gotten drunk so that's why they're not realizing it yet and thinking they're just tired or sick. I imagine they haven't gotten drunk before given their reserved natures. So let's see how their first experience goes.

Bad Things Happen Bingo! The event where you send me requests according to this marvelous card! (Red cross is the completed prompt, character headshots are prompts I’ve already filled. I don’t have any request left, so feel free to send in suggestions for this card!).
Hasta siempre, Mastro.
Originally, I was going for a whole other scenario (also in Go, but a whole different beast, believe me), but it just wasn't coming together at all and I decided it just wasn't worth the hassle since I'd end up disappointed by the fic anyway. I figure I'll adapt it for another prompt on my card. Anyway, about this fic. It all started when I saw a mutual of mine on Twitter discuss with someone the absurdity of Shindou's injury as depicted in the anime (yes, I watched 10 minutes of a very unentertaining man play the very British Eng Go localization just to check that) and the fact he has to stay like a week for what seems to be a vague leg injury; instead wondering why Hino hadn't given him appendicitis instead. My brain went haywire about that and I had to give it a shot, and that's where we stand. I'm a bit disappointed in this one because it should've been better, but this was my first time trying to write for Go if we exclude a secret exchange fic I wrote last year that was simpler than that. But hey, it was a fun way to get into the groove of things! also, sorry shindou for setting your appendix ablaze, that wasn't very sakka yarouze of me
Also big kudos to Rhy who helped me with the title for this fic, since I can't speak a word of German but wanted something fancy because it's Shindou we're talking about lol.

Komm, Süßes Requiem
Summary: Raimon's captain has to fight against himself if he wants his beloved team to compete in the finals of Holy Road.
Fandom: Inazuma Eleven Go (canon divergence from episode 39)
Wordcount: 2.3K words
Event hosted by @badthingshappenbingo
AO3 version available here.
-------
He should’ve been more careful about the stomach-ache he woke up with this morning, but since he’s so used to feeling pain whenever he’s tense and that there was the semi-finals coming up for Raimon, Shindou preferred to focus on what mattered: the match.
Moreover, this sort of aches just tends to disappear after a little while, so he figured that, if he got his head in the match, it’d just go away on his own because his anxiety would fade away once on the field and calculating strategies and tactics for the team to follow and, at times, scoring the goals himself. Being the captain of the team helps you cool your own head down because you realize you need to be the beam of light everyone looks up to.
That one stomach-ache, however, just won’t go away. In fact, it’s even coming with a couple friends that are somehow even more worrisome than a persistent, dull ache lowering in his stomach with each passing moment. Like a symphony, instruments keep adding up to the melody and he’s afraid he’ll end up overwhelmed by a mostly black musical partition he won’t be able to play anymore.
Additionally, as much as he’s trying to search through what he knows of ailments reminiscent of this one, Shindou can’t find a convincing answer; or, rather, can’t find a convincing way to play out a misspelt note. Sure, he’s been queasy ever since waking up too, and the nausea hasn’t let off either; but he’s managed to play piano recitals through worse, if people can believe that. The medicine the school nurse gave him before the going to the match has worked wonders at the beginning, calming the tempo of the thudding pain, so…
So why is he now feeling worse than he’s ever felt?
He isn’t too proud to admit he’s sick, or even to express some worry about that; in fact, he’s certain Kirino must have at least some idea of what’s been going on and so must have their coaches. What he isn’t willing to come clean about, however, is just how his pain is increasing with each step he takes and each observation he makes on the field, rising with each beat. It was dull and softened by medicine when the match began, but now that the half-time has come and gone, it’s turned into a sharp, burning ache that won’t leave, instead hooking itself on what may be his bowel. He doesn’t want to think about it much. He also doesn’t want to think about the fact he can barely keep fluids down.
As the match is soon resuming, he takes back his place on the field, breathing in and out to control the burn. It’s a really weird feeling to put into words, unlike anything he’s felt. It’s not like getting a ball kicked into his stomach, because that’d be familiar, nor is it like the pounding sensation of a fever-induced headache, which’d also be familiar. It’s as if he was being stabbed from the outside (which is already an unfamiliar feeling, but if what he’s read in novels is accurate, then there’s that) and burnt from the inside.
His true condition must be visible to some extent, now, considering Kirino is walking up to him right as the second half is about to start.
“Hey, Shindou, are you okay?” The worry in his friend’s voice is very limpid. “You honestly look like you’ve been through hell.”
“I’ll manage,” he replies with very little certainty in his words. “I’ve got to anyway.”
“You’re sure? I’m not kidding when I say you’re not looking so hot.”
He takes a deep breath, hand hugging his right side. No wonder why it’s hurting: it’s bloated under his fingers and jersey. That’s not a symptom from food poisoning nor stress-induced stomach-aches.
“Please tell the coach if it gets real bad, okay?” Kirino reluctantly gives into his will. “There’s no point in risking so much when we’re so close to the finale.”
“I will. Don’t worry.”
He watches Kirino jog back to his spot on the field as the whistle of the second half resounds throughout the field. It’s showtime.
It should be more difficult for him to move around as quickly as he does now, but the penicillin he happened to have on him (he’d rather avoid any incident, be it with teammates or himself, and having some medicine on him is always a good thing) and took while in the lockers is doing wonders. That’s not to mention the adrenaline of playing against a team as good as Arakumo and the mission to destroy Fifth Sector’s soccer motivating hi even further, allowing him to feel energized and to ignore the pain a little more than he could before. He can fairly easily go with the rhythm and that’s all he could be asking for, right now.
However, he knows it won’t last for a long time, perhaps not even until the end of the match, so he focuses on it and makes sure his appearance on the field matters. Raimon needs to get one more point before the match eventually ends, and God knows they don’t want an encore, so there’s no time to lose. He’ll worry about whatever’s wrong with him later (even if he feels like he won’t last for much longer, thus why he’s getting scared of possible prolongations – he needs to speed ahead before the threat can catch up to him).
He rushes into Amemiya’s area, intending on passing him through force or swift, but he gets blown away by a sudden appearance from Sun God Apollo that takes everyone aback. While he only almost lands on his abdomen, the tumble makes his pain flare up like a sudden higher note and he has to choke a disharmonious second cry of pain. Kirino screams his name back, but he gets back to his knees, a hand on his flank, and tells him he’s all fine.
Shindou knows he’s getting further and further away from that word, of course. He’s been acutely aware of that fact ever since getting up from bed only to get struck by a strong wave of nausea, but he’s got to play and that’s despite knowing ignoring it is a terrible idea. If that match doesn’t end quickly enough, he’ll have to be switched out and… he doesn’t want that. He’s the team’s captain, he can’t let himself get won over by what can only be acute appendicitis (and that thought scares him – what if it ruptures and he’s left on death’s doors before an ambulance can arrive? Is it worth putting his life on the line for the sake of the revolution?).
In the end, he decides he’d rather continue to play along to the melody and follow the crescendo of the pacing, purposefully putting aside the rising notes of his pain which keep accelerating quicker than the match does. Tsurugi and Tenma head up to him, the latter expressing the entire team’s determination to win, and propose the three of them unite their Avatars to win against Sun God Apollo and the support from Arakumo’s players.
They’ll rise their power like circuits, Shindou deduces, and summons Instrumentalist Maestro first. It quickly fuses with Sword Saint Lancelot and Demon God Pegasus Arc to form a new Avatar altogether. Demon Emperor Gryphon uses up whatever energy he has left, but they need to stop Sunshine Force before it can reach Shinsuke. He hears Nishiki’s voice tell him not to give in, then Hikaru’s and Shinsuke’s supporting Tsurugi and Tenma, and they push back against the sun as strongly as they can.
They score Raimon’s fourth goal, pushing back against Arakumo’s entire team, and the match ends there.
Applaud resounds in the stadium like it would after a concert, their benched teammates running to them and Tenma… talks to the ground. Okay, he most likely isn’t talking to the soil itself, rather someone – but he can’t really tell anymore. Sounds are starting to mix together, clapping and talking sounding more and more alike, and his heartbeat is the one he can hear the most now. Adrenaline is fading in and serotonin isn’t flooding nearly enough to go against the intensity of the ache which, truly, shouldn’t have been underestimated.
From what little he can tell, he’s certain Kirino is trying to tell him something, but he’s got no idea of what exactly (or even vaguely, on second thought). His legs are about to give in and he’s folded in half, the throbbing and burning starting to become too strong for him to fight against, and all he can really fight against right about now is screaming his head off. There won’t be an encore from him, and even as Kirino gets closer to him, all he can hear anymore is static and all he can see are his own tears.
His eyes roll inside his skull as he collapses in a cacophonous piano key smash.
At the last minute, right when it shouldn’t have, his body turned on him.
The realization that he’ll have to watch Raimon dispute the finale while he’s helplessly sitting in a hospital bed frustrates him beyond what words can express, but Takuto knows it’d be a losing battle to try and force himself out of there. If his body doesn’t catches up to him, then it’ll be the nurses, and even if he escapes from them, Kirino and Coach Kidou would most likely bring him back to the hospital themselves.
It doesn’t help that he’s still sore from the surgery. Coach Kidou chewed him out for being reckless while Otonashi just stared at him, concerned and frowning. “You don’t seem like the type of person to do that, Shindou”. “You can’t power through things like appendicitis, Shindou”. Watch him: he did. He did, and he won’t ever have to pull through that pain ever again.
The thing is, he was told his appendix almost burst, and that’s what prevents him from actually going for the jugular and get back into the team.
Like that, he lost everything. He gave his captain’s armband to Tenma who seemed terrified by his decision and what it meant (if it was only on him, Takuto wouldn’t have had to inflict that onto his bright-eyed teammate, and the taste of regrets and what-could-have-beens disgusts him). He forfeited his chance to bring back the soccer Kirino and he had learnt to love when in Raimon’s second team. He lost the capacity to lead his teammates.
Really, he doesn’t even have the right to call himself their “captain” anymore: that’d be Tenma because, while he’s here in the hospital wallowing in his own losses, the latter will be guiding them to victory as he’s unknowingly always done. He knows it’ll be all good for Raimon, despite how many times Tenma insists on calling him “Captain Shindou”, going against the flow of events. The team can win, even without him, and he’s gotten over that…
“Don’t beat yourself too much over it, Shindou”, Kirino tells him, concern painted all over his face. “It wasn’t your fault if your appendix just decided to burn up on you.”
Takuto turns his head in his direction. He should’ve known his best friend would be seeing right through him. Even during the team’s visit in his room and despite everyone being fairly squeezed against each other, he was there, watching.
“What am I supposed to do, then? Even if I try to think positively about this, it won’t change the fact I’m stuck here for a week.”
“Thinking about it negatively won’t have much effect either. I’d even argue being positive about this would actually make it better for you. I’ve heard positivity makes recoveries go faster.”
“I suppose I can at least entrust you guys with the finals… You’re all capable of winning against Seidouzan. I know it. I’m just anxious about it and…” he buries his head into his hands, feeling water coming to his eyes, “…useless.”
Kirino doesn’t say anything, instead handing him a tissue so he can dry his tears.
“I’m the team’s captain. I should be training with you guys for the finals,” he gestures to the IV connected to him, pipe linked to a bag of saline solution, “but instead, I’m stuck here, with that thing in my arm, and I can’t even get up yet. I’ve betrayed everyone.”
“Shindou, I can guarantee you nobody thinks that way. If anything, I think we all feel for you. Your frustration is ours.”
Takuto remains silent.
“Tenma begged your surgeon to make you recover faster. Even Coach Kidou seemed angry at himself. Believe me, before we all paid you a visit, most of us were frowning. If you really want to find a traitor, your appendix would be the perfect candidate.”
Kirino gives him a slight smile.
“You’ll always be with us on the field, Shindou. I know you said that to Tenma only half-believing in your words, but I can guarantee you that’s true. We’re a team and it’s not because you got appendicitis that it’s gonna change.”
The smile gets bigger.
“Right, Captain?”
Takuto ends up sighing, then resigning himself to the truth.
“Right… even if that’s what you should be calling Tenma, not me.”
“Oh, yeah, sure thing.”
He knows he’ll have trouble applying Kirino’s words for a little while. Being stuck in this room with sore stitches hasn’t helped his mood in the slightest and his anger at himself hasn’t had the occasion to calm down much because of the enclosed space and the upcoming match – but he’ll have to give into it. His recital finished on a misfired crescendo and violent crash, and it’s now time for Tenma to shine and direct the marching band that is Raimon and he’ll have to watch from the sidelines.

Death Note (completed list)
all L/Light, unless specified otherwise.
Top 5:
Best Wishes From a Goddess of Death by The_Maiden_of_Autumn; M (fluff, AU, angst)  Misa Amane is not stupid- oblivious and airheaded sometimes, but definitely not lacking in intelligence. She can see the way Light and L are together, the regretful, sorrowful looks L gives her whenever she speaks to Light. She knows where this is heading; she just doesn't want it to be this way. But she's made her bed, and wishes them happiness, she truly does. Slight LightxL
Cake Crumbs And Bed Sheets by Jenwryn; M (AU, fluff, romance)  An inexplicable and very fluffy AU, written for Australia Day. In which L eats lamingtons and vanilla slice - and has help to fall asleep.
Kanji by sashocirrione; T (fluff, AU, hurt/comfort)  Light is bringing L home to meet his sister and mother, as L is now his boyfriend. But Light can't shake off the feeling that he was somehow tricked into the situation. Fluffy and probably somewhat OOC, not my usual style. Written for Persefone88, one of the winners of my 100th review contest, (started back when I was still running that contest).
(Now And Then There’s) A Fool Such As I by Light It Up; T (AU, fluff)  Knowing he couldn’t miss his first class, L took a deep breath and strode into the hallways, ignoring anyone who tried talking to him. By the time he was sitting at Biology and had his pencil twirling between his fingers, hearing the teacher explaining things he already knew and the girls to his right talking about stupidities he didn’t want to know, L just wanted to vent about how he was feeling. However, he would never do that with someone he actually knew.
you’re a wasp nest by raisuki; M (fluff, AU) But Light was already wandering off, his cane clicking rhythmically as he navigated the halls. He gave L a half-hearted wave before merging back into the flow of people. L was fairly sure he has just been tricked into buying Light Yagami dinner, and he was also pretty sure Light Yagami is the most audacious person he had ever met.
and now, for all the rest!
K/K+
Ambiguity Among Two by Fledgling  [L x Light. Hugging. Handcuffed. Ficlet.] L shuddered at the memory, and briefly, he dug his fingertips into Light's back, willing bruises inside that whispered of sleepless, difficult nights.
Bedtime by Servant Gabrielle (humor, romance) Drabble. LightxL. Sometimes, being handcuffed together caused a few problems.
Candy by Eriko Myoujin (romance) L wants to know if Raito enjoys candy. Supposed to take place during the time Raito has forfeited his memories of the Death Note. A silly little thing written for an LJ community. [LxRaito]
Candy is Dandy by firedraygon (humor) During a latenight investigation, L is craving some chocolate. LxRaito
Duplicity’s a Matter of Fact by lefcadio Light x L. A thunderstorm, an unexpected conversation, and cake.
I’m Glad I Found You by bri-notthecheese (+Misa/Matsuda; romance, friendship) No one would have expected a relationship to blossom between Investigator Touta Matsuda and Model Misa Amane. However, if a friendship developed between them while she was under suspicion and then she eventually decided to let Light go, Matsuda would be the perfect prince waiting for her when she decided that he was who she truly wanted and needed. Matsuisa ftw.
Observations by Asidian L does some unconventional observations. Too bad he can't convince himself it's for the good of the investigation. Light x L.
Out of Focus by Chiba.Kun (romance) [LightxL] Written from Light's POV. Oneshot. Not much to it. When the two are handcuffed together, innocent desires surface. I apologize for the crappy summary.
Sleepy Chains by WellspringIsSuperLame (romance) In which a tired Raito becomes rather suspicious of Ryuuzaki. Random little one-shot, LxRaito fun.
Starlight by subdivided (drama, romance) AU manga ending, LLight, one shot. The Kira case is declared solved before Light can regain his memory. He and L leave the party early, for a garden under the stars.
Sweeter Than Sugar by Manwyn (romance) LxRaito. L offer Raito one of his treats... AN: Sorry i'm not very good with summarys.
What I Lay Down by mleeph (romance, drama) Love comes in percentages, but sacrifice is a matter of absolutes. Thus, L comes to a realization at 1:19 in the morning. [Raito x L ]
G
3:19 Am by Tierfal (romance, drama) This is really not the time of day at which Light prefers to discuss their respective revelations.
Bad Habits by domo (humor) Light hates it when Ryuuzaki bites his nails, Ryuu just wants to know if Light is gay or not.
Bananas by Tierfal (humor, romance) Best. Idea. EVER.
Cake by Desmenn
Confused "No thanks. I'm fine like this- confused."
Counting the Coffee Drip by NOT_TOWA_WAKASA (fluff) Light is a blind man who loves to count. L finds him curious, and wades through the holiday season to visit him wherever he may appear.
Dance With Me by dotti55 Light wants talks L into trying a new experience.
Easily Entertained by Tierfal (humor, romance) It's an important distinction.
First & Final by overdose I watched the most emotional Death Note scene in Death Note history. (I've only made it to L's death) So, I decided to do something with it. Kinds sucky and rushed.
The First Noel by OctaviaPeverell (romance) Because L loves Christmas desserts and Light can't get enough of handcuffs!
Four Minutes of Solitude by Tierfal (humor, romance) L tries to take a break, the operative word being "tries."
Heaven-Sent Hypocrisy by Tierfal (romance, fluff) Somebody up there was looking out for him.
mellifera by alharper He sleeps beside you, spare hand curled around the chain, six feet of arrogant beauty and ruthless intelligence softened and hidden.
Oh So Smart by Zanganito (+Misa/Light; fluff, angst, humor, hurt/comfort) Misa decides to have movie night! During the film, Light makes a few unwelcome realizations and is moved to tears. L takes advantage of the opportunity to mock him relentlessly. Set just after the conclusion of the Yotsuba arc.
On A Boat by Tierfal (humor, angst, romance, hurt/comfort, AU) Light is considering throwing himself over the side and trying to drown.
Perilous by Tierfal (humor, romance) It's just another evening… until it's not.
Perverted by Tierfal (humor, romance) It's all about the contingency plans.
Provocation by Jenwryn (humor) "I would not provoke Watari-san if I were you, Light-kun."
Resolved Tension by norestforthewckd (fluff) Light Yagami does not like Ryuzaki. Light Yagami is a very big liar with a bit of a soft spot for a certain man.
Sub Finem by RatatoskMode "...I still can’t believe that this is the end. No, it’s more like I don’t want to believe it. The only person I deemed worthy of taking my life was L himself, but to go this way is pathetic." Light Yagami is dying, and he's visited by a familiar ghost of his past.
The Taste by Tierfal (romance, AU) It makes perfect sense.
Will You Be My Valentine? by TabbyCat33098 (AU, fluff) L has been getting mysterious presents all day long, presents of a...how do you say? Romantic persuasion. What is going on? Who's sending these?
Word Play by CuteCat213 (AU, fluff) Remarkable: worthy of attention; striking. L bit his thumb and watched Light. His boyfriend certainly was striking. And he was sure Light wouldn't mind; there had to be at least six other things more creepy than watching his boyfriend sleep and tying to think of words to describe it.
T
Antioxidant Properties by remarks Rivals getting hot and bothered (mismatched socks and a kiwifruit).
Are you Lonesome Tonight? by Light It Up Their time apart had scarred the both of them. There were days someone would mention that High School relationships didn’t last long, or that when two people started dating at a too young age, they always ended up drifting apart. Those days were when L was the most vulnerable, and Light made sure to spend the night with him, whether at the Yagami house or at L and Watari’s.
The Boy’s Too Refined by sabriel75 (AU) The notorious detective, Sherlock Holmes, takes too keen of interest in Light and L's affairs. He suffers a concussed head for it. Light loses his innocence. Both were bound to happen sometime though as far as John Watson and L were concerned.
Caveat Emptor by Tierfal (humor, drama) In which there are shopping trips, sarcasm, backhanded compliments, dark rooms, big guns, bubble baths, trauma of every sort, and detailed fantasies involving cake - lots of those. Let the buyer beware indeed. L/Light.
Cherade by lefcadio Light x L. When you're handcuffed to someone, insomnia takes its toll in one way or another.
A Different Decision by phoenixjustice Maybe a world free of criminals and ran by Kira would truly be a better place.
Fevered by Ivydoll (Mello/Near; romance, drama) MelloNear. When Near's illness jars the boys' comfort zones, they lose some of their control and experience a slight tilt towards one another.
Fidgeting by Tierfal (romance, fluff, AU) "Don't squirm."
From the (Very Private) Notebook Of... by Shayheyred (humor, crack) Probability that L is a dork: 100%
The Ghost Inside You by slightowl In which Light must learn to cope with an undead roommate. (An LxLight ghost story.)
Giving And Taking by Jenwryn (AU, romance) AU. The Kira case is closed, and L had promised himself he'd make a move on his partner-in-crime-solving but... there's too much to risk losing.
grow old or something by youremyqueen The afterlife is a bit like normal life, in that it's completely dull.
Lay Your Hands On Me by Light It Up (AU, fluff) Of course, though, it was only seldom that Light remembered that. He couldn’t care less about when he’d leave this small, crappy apartment, not when every now and then he could catch scenes and sounds so enticing from the man he’d been in love with for about a year and a half.
Love Tonight by Light It Up (AU, fluff) Light looks at him with tears in his eyes, blinking a few times to force them back. Almost shyly, he nods, so L reaches up to brush away a stray tear from his cheek. “It’s your birthday, you idiot,” Light explains then, hugging his knees as close to him as he can.
Never Forgotten by metal goat (angst) Raito can never seem to forget L, no matter how hard he tries... LRaito, some RaitoMisa. Spoilers for Ch.58. Shounenai. Oneshot
The Plan by strange_isle (drama, AU) Light's scheme was both devious and elegant. Too bad it's gone awry. Now in the aftermath, L demands answers, but Light's not exactly in the most amenable of moods.
A Pocketful of Posey by Edmondia Dantes Redux (drama) Ashes, ashes, we all fall down. Light/L.
Sour Candy by Edmondia_Dantes On the taste of apples and sugar.
Special Quality by Tasogare Nagisa (crack) We are all defined by that one special quality; if only we knew what that quality was...
Sweet Things by Light it Up (AU, fluff) Their relationship had started just before the Kira case was closed. Light confessed to the detective that he was the assassin, and when he thought L was going to handcuff him and send him to prison, where he would wait for the jury to decide when his death sentence would take place, L had instead kissed him. Although he could never be completely sure of it, Light guessed that the fact that he was crying when he confessed was the factor that made L’s mind up.
Sweetest Decay by Fantastical Queen Ebony Black (Mello/Near; angst) Letting you get the better of me. MelloNear [Spoilers for chapters in the 90's]
Taste by Hikaru R Kudou (humor) Shounen ai, Raito and L. A conversation between the two over breakfast. Raito: "I happen to like them that way. Is my taste bothering you?"
Unreliable as the Mind by Ramasi Losing and regaining his memories doesn't make Light's already complicated feelings for his opponent any simpler; and L might have even less scruples about killing someone he loves.
What you’ve always known by Devilinthebox (hurt/comfort, angst) Light comforts L about his body image. L tries to put distance but needs the comfort. He lets some defenses down (Request)
White Sepulcher by World’sOnlyConsultingTimeLady (angst, romance) L's rationality falls on an ordinary, dull night. L/Light one shot
Winter Wonderland by Light it Up (fluff, AU) What Light didn’t mention, was that he was extremely sensitive to the cold. He had never gone out during the Christmas holidays because when he was very little, he had come down with pneumonia after staying out on a windy day, so his parents never allowed him out again.
World is Mine by Light it Up (fluff, AU) Given that information, it’s quite obvious that Light lost, and the idea L had was certainly the most embarrassing thing Light has ever heard in his life. His cheeks are read in the mirror, and he turns a few times to look at himself from every angle, his heart pounding against his chest. This is so not a good idea, and he’s sure L just wants to see him like that to laugh at him, but God, Light has to admit that he likes what he’s seeing.
M
Almost Oblivion by Serria L knows that Light doesn't close his eyes at night for fear of waking up as Kira. L, on the contrary, won't rest until that transition is complete.
An Apple a Day by hyperRme (romance, crime) ...but if the doctor is cute forget the fruit. L turns this into his motto when he is forced to see doctor Raito because of his sugar only diet. As he pursues the doctor, L learns that the murderer he is trying to catch is pursuing Raito’s life.
At Night by Vehuel (PWP) Things that happen at night should stay between the two of them. Secret, and covered in darkness.
Chance of Circumstances by wordbombs (romance, humor) Sometimes all happiness takes is a change of circumstances. L/Light, fluffly lemon meringue AU one-shot. Answers- What if Light was a Wammy?
Choose by reaperlight (AU, fluff, angst, humor) Light isn't too fond of Valentine's Day. As it turns out neither is L...
Control by mmmdraco From the 3 Sentence Ficathon: Death Note, L/Light, control
Daylight The Light Does Bring by Jenwryn (romance, fluff, AU) The detective rolls onto his side, displacing Light's trailing thumb, and stares up at the younger man.
Guilty until proven Innocent by Callicanios (mystery, romance) Kira has emerged, the great detective L sets out to stop him. Only thing, Light is not Kira. Due to the explicitly of the chapters beyond chapter 14 the rating will be changed to M. LxLight
Softly Now by Jenwryn (romance, AU) The apartment is laced with the smell of fresh paint, and L has flecks of blue upon his cheeks.
Somnambulism by reaperlight (crack, humor) Light does not appreciate L’s sense of humor.
Submission by lichenglie “I think you forget, Light Yagami, that I am just as childish as Kira is,” he says, “and I hate to lose.”
Water, water, water by Devilinthebox In the bath, they forget they’re a detective and a suspect; they remove these identities along with their clothes, layer by layer until there are only the handcuffs left. And them; facing the other in the eerie calmness of their bathroom. At least, it’s how Light sees it.
E
Anger Before Bliss by mannysue (angst) L was depressed. Depressed that his deduction was wrong. Light is very much not pleased by this change in L's demeanor. He decides to take action.
Bang! by youremyqueen Written for the second death note kink meme, prompt was: in bed with a fully loaded gun.
by night we go naked, by day we go blind by youremyqueen Written for the second death note kink meme, prompt was: sensory deprivation.
Can’t I Even Dream? by Light It Up (fluff, smut) They didn’t kiss; it was more like breathing each other’s air, being as close as physics allowed them to. Sometimes Light wished they could just freeze the world and stay in a moment forever, just enjoying their own company and that instant when their bodies were in perfect synchrony, hips meeting at every precise thrust.
Clean by FayJay Set during the period when Light had given up the Death Note, and didn't know he was Kira.
Dirty by FayJay Set during the period when Light had given up the Death Note, and did not know he was Kira. (Sequel to 'Clean', but can be read as a standalone.)
Interested in Learning More by Shadow_Of_Quill Light isn't asexual. He just has... unusual interests. And Ryuuzaki is very observant.
Intermission by Shiraume What happened right after the infamous fight in Vol 5.
Just Before Sunset by Evilchuckles (romance) Perhaps they don't want to remember. Perhaps it's enough to be happy.
Linked by Shayheyred The chain is not what connects them
Low of Solipsism by Light It Up (AU, fluff) Even after six months of them dating, Light still wondered what it was about L that drove him so wild. Before him he used to be a quiet lover, rarely making any sounds more than a moan here and there. That being said, it’s easy to understand that Light was surprised when they first started touching each other and he instantly became vocal.
Playing the Part by Vector L was alone in his intent stare at the monitors.
Roundabout Truth by Ramasi Light is furious when he's kept in chains after he regains his memories; he has no choice but to try and figure out L further.
See Me by Shadow_of_Quill (AU) Light sometimes thinks he'd give anything to have someone see him for who he really is.
Something to Think About by dotti55 Having moved to The Wammy's House together, L and Light share their first Valentine's Day together, and make some discoveries about their relationship and their future together.
That Night by sashocirrione L and Light have a hotel-room encounter that is not at all accidental. Complete but open-ended.
Time Out by epkitty (fluff) They were handcuffed together for how long???

Too Late (kbtbb fic)
Summary: In an AU where MC (Sakurai Yuuki) helps all bidders but doesn’t start an immediate relationship with neither, she gets kidnapped by a very resourceful and strong Mafia. Are the bidders able to save her on time?   Genre: angst Masterpost  Warning: this chapter contains mentions of sexual assault/rape under the cut, is not necessary to read to understand the rest of the story, so please mind your triggers and stay safe

“There!” Ota exclaims looking at the video footage, he’s pointing to the image of Sakurai in her dark elegant night dress, being dragged to the employer’s service door, Mamoru follows them to the other camera, but it only looks black “What the…?” Kishi asks to the footage, he rewinds the tape on that same room and a couple of hours earlier he can see how a man with a mask put something in front of the camera, covering it “Tch, what are the odds?” he sarcastically adds “This was planned” The king murmurs, leaving a question to form inside everyone’s minds: ‘Why? Why would anyone want to hurt a kind girl like her?’ The answer comes right away: ‘Us… this is our fault’ “Soryu, block all the hotel entrances and get some of your men to look out for any girl that remotely resembles her” Ichinomiya starts barking orders, he was the first of the bidders that she had worked with, he was the first that brought her into this dark world, she had done so many things for him, even helping him find his sister, of course, he won’t let anything happen to her. “I’m already on it” the mobster answers while telling Samejima the instructions and adding an: “Look into any mafia organizations that are against us, any of our enemies could’ve done this and I want to know who did it!”  Soryu used to hate women, he found them irritating and smelly, but she was different, she was like their sunlight in the shadows, always lighting the place whenever she entered, and the dragons like her too, so it’s natural for him to go and protect her.   “Mamoru, find out who did she talked to, ask her colleagues if you have to, but don’t make a ruckus and don’t let them know we already on their lead” “Ya don’t have to say it twice” Kishi says as he’s exiting the lounge again, he feel as guilty and as anxious as when he discovered that the sect leader who he was investigating was going to abuse her, back then he felt guilty cause he thought that Sakurai was just a kid, but know… after she had saved the little police integrity he had left and himself, Kishi just knows that he couldn’t let anything happen to her. “Ota, tell the mad hatter to stop the auction” the ones who remain in the lounge grow tense for a minute… to stop the mad hatter’s party mid-auction… Yuuki really is something else, the most shocking thing for them is that they all agree with the decision, “Tell him to make something out, make sure that the guests return to the IVC and bring me the list of tonight’s buyers… also, I want to see the girl that was sold again” “You don't think that Yuuki was…” “We can’t discard the possibility” “Got it” Ota leaves the room, he, as the others, is worried sick, Sakurai’s really a nice and amusing girl that he wants to keep by his side, she gave him the motivation he needed for his masterpieces, she supported him when his art was stolen and he hadn’t really thanked her, besides, who would play with him if his precious koro was gone? He won’t let them take her. “Baba, she might…no, she must still be in the hotel…. Find her” with all honesty, Eisuke is really holding back as to not go out and look for her himself, but he knows that he has to stay and coordinate everything with a cold mindset, so it’s really difficult to say those words to the thief, and his partner knows that “Don’t worry Eisuke, I’ll bring her back” Baba says with all seriousness and vanishes. Mitsunari starts to look for her everywhere and he’s doing at record-breaking speed, he’s scared, a girl as kind and sweet as Sakurai doesn’t deserve to go through this again, the times when she was kidnapped where too many to count, and that’s why he is so against the idea of her staying as their little sunshine…. He’s against it, but he isn’t strong enough to let her go again; every time the bidders tried to let her go and have a normal life, she always got into trouble because of them, but then again, the others always were right at her side to help her, Baba could only pray for this time to not to be too late.
Back in the lounge, Eisuke sighs, he thinks back to the girl that was sold in the beginning, but she wasn’t her right? She couldn’t have been sold right in front of them. Surely they weren’t that blind as to not recognize her…. Right? “Soryu, call Luke and tell him to get here as soon as possible and get a hold on Hishikura and tell him to investigate the politicians that have a grudge against us” “Consider it done” The king’s phone rings, it’s Hikaru. “Eisuke… I found her phone signal”.
Yuuki’s POV
When I open my eyes, I’m in a different room, more like the hotel room I was before with the difference that this room is darker, but I can feel that I’m in a weird position, I can feel that I’m hanging from my wrist, my feet barely touching the floor, I look down to my body and I have to close my eyes at the embarrassing sight of the revealing schoolgirl two-piece outfit I’m wearing, the top is practically a white bra with decorations and the skirt is so tiny that it doesn’t cover a thing… did… did that person put me this… my body shivers just from that thought, ‘ugh… I can’t cry, even if it’s humiliating’
My arms hurt, I try to move a little… but I notice that my body is not responding me ‘what…?’ “My my, the little kitten is awake now” a grave voice sound from a distant and dark part of the room “You see… I really wanted to get starting as soon as I saw you but the drug, ah it’s a paralyzer, by the way, it really takes it’s time to kick in, we should probably take care of that” the owner of the voice was a young man, one that anyone that saw him on the street would think that is handsome, even I, in another situation, could be attracted by him, but now I really, really want to get away from him, I’m scared; he comes closer, I can feel my heart beat faster, my brain is yelling my body with all it’s might to move, but my body won’t listen and won’t move an inch, is frustrating, but my mind doesn’t focus on that, my thoughts are a mess, I want to at least bit my lip in despair, but I can’t even do that, I feel my entire being numb, I think I’m frowning and somehow I growl “Now, now, I paid a lot for you so please be a good kitten”
The man puts his hands in my waist, I would like to say that I don’t feel them but that’s not the case, maybe my nerves make me more sensitive because, despite the overall numbness, I can feel the unsettling touch, ‘but then? Why my body won’t answer? Why can’t I move?’ His heat gets closer, god, I just want to get away, I just want to run out of here; a cold sweat goes down my neck, I know he says something, but I’m panicking, I can’t really understand. He is so close I can smell the wine in his breath, I want to throw up. I can feel his hands go to my legs and even if he’s barely touching me I can’t take the sensation, I want to close my legs so badly, but they won’t answer to my demands and stay in the same position. I close my eyes trying not to cry, I don’t want to show any more weakness, but immediately after, I can feel a sharp pain right in my knee, I shout but it only gets out as a little cry. “Don’t go closing your eyes now my kitten, you wouldn’t want to miss the fun” his eyes… there’s a sadistic and lustful glint on them, I look over his hand, he is holding a whip, I swallow and I can only wish for the drug to be strong enough as to paralyze my heart and kill me, I don’t want to live this… I’m too scared, I’ll rather be tortured before what I know he is thinking he is going to do to me. ‘please stop’ I really want to beg, but only a cry gets out, he looks satisfied and starts hitting me with the whip all over my body and I have to bite my tongue as to not do another sound, seeing my reaction he takes my chin and gets close to my face “Won’t you cry for my little kitten?” my body tenses or at least I would like it to, I can feel his lips over mine ‘no… I don’t want this! The only person I want to kiss is…’ in a little act of revelry I try and succeed in bitting him as hard as I can, as numb as I feel, the sensation is weird, but I can feel the pain in my face when he slaps me “You little bitch! This could’ve been easy on you, but since you are being this difficult… I suppose I won’t hold back any longer” He unties me and my body feels like a dead weight, he tosses me onto a bed, the few clothes moving as to let him see ‘his product’  ah I really want to throw up at those disgusting thoughts. He practically rips the bra, skirt, and underwear, I’ve never felt so expose and humiliated as now, I try to close my eyes but another sharp pain makes me open them, but I want to shut them again immediately; he looks hard, it’s my first time seeing a dick but I never thought it would look so scary, I can feel the corner of my eyes hot and my vision starts to get blurry. I know I shouldn’t let him see that he is having this effect on me, but I can’t help it… I don’t want this “Pl-please…st-stop” I manage to talk, but he only grins before slowly entering me. The pain is almost unbearable, this time, I do scream, at least until he puts his hand on my mouth “Shut up unless you want me to hurt you more” he starts moving ‘please no! Take it out! It hurts!’ I think with all my might, tears start falling, the pain is mixed with an electric sensation, I don’t even want to think how now I’m stained. “Ah…Ah… you are tight, yes… you virgins are the bests” I want to kick him off me, it hurts. I hate this! I hate this and I hate this man! I don’t even know you then why do you do this to me?! I can feel his other hand squeezing my breast and his teeth bite my nipple, I wince at that, it hurts! I don’t want to be here, I shouldn’t be here! I should be in the IVC or the lounge, next to him… then why? The man starts going faster and the pain, both the physical and the emotional, increases ‘just finish already’ I think bitterly, I can stop him like this, I know I’m not as strong as the others, but I still would’ve given a fight…. God no… ah… I can feel something strange entering me, I don’t think I have anything in my stomach, I would have thrown it to him by now, I can’t stop my tears by now, ‘I want to die’ my mind thinks. I see him taking out several bottles and needles out of a briefcase, he looks at me with an evil grin on his face “I still have a couple of hours left so why don’t we have fun trying the different effects of the drugs?” I close my eyes in despair and open them just to see the nightmare happening all over again.

A Young Ootori’s Notebook (part three)
Rating: Explicit / Mature (for series as a whole)
Fandom: Ouran High School Host Club
Relationships: Kyoya & hosts, mentioned unrequited KyoTama, Yoshio Ootori x Yuzuru Suoh
Trigger Warnings: Drug abuse/addiction, depression, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempt, self harm
Summary: It's so warm, so happy, but he just feels hollow. He's looking in on someone else's Christmas, or it feels like it. Nothing's real, anyway...
No knowledge of A Young Doctor’s Notebook needed.
BEFORE WE BEGIN, BECAUSE I KNOW I'LL GET A MILLION COMMENTS IF I DON'T CLARIFY: My headcanon for Kyoya's grandmother is that she's both English and Christian. Their grandfather was pretty much an atheist, so they tend to go with more Christian traditions and holidays. Kyoya was even a choir boy for a little while.
Other parts of this series: Part one | Part two
It wasn’t before long that the clink of glass on table grated against Kyoya’s pounding head, Haruhi never did learn Tamaki’s “pinkie trick” properly, but he was thankful that she was more punctual than her husband. His throat was dry, he was nauseous, and he had to steady himself as he sat up, the world tilting dangerously sideways. Instead, he felt Kaoru’s gentle hands on his shoulders, guiding him into a more stable position, before leaving his bony frame to brush his too shaggy, unprofessional hair away from his sweaty forehead.
The passage of time was not always something he was acutely aware of, but that was the norm for someone who indulged in his… vices. Everything was questioned; was it even real? Time was real, despite some saying that it truly wasn’t, because it all just seemed to press down on him in that one moment. Clear and hazy seconds, minutes, years just seemed to hit him all at once and, for the first time in a while, Kyoya felt old.
He was only in his, admittedly late, forties, and he felt like some sort of frail octogenarian; it was a little humiliating, and his cultivated vanity was appalled. His hair was starting to grey also, from the stress and strain he put himself and his body through. His knees were aching, despite him sitting, and he could see how prominent the bones in his hands were. He was a wreck, really. A pretty boy turned into a mess of an addict.
Still, it was actually rather amusing, in some sickeningly morbid way. He was obviously unwell, displaying all the red flags that the media liked to pounce on, draining it of any potential scandal that it could hold. Before the truth came out, before he got too desperate to hide his issue from the public, the worst insinuation was that he was ill.
No drug rumours, nothing about anorexia, or anything of that like, because that wasn’t what an Ootori was. An Ootori was strong and composed, they certainly didn’t dabble in things like prescription pills, morphine, and even heroin. Diamorphine, that’s what heroin is in medical terms, used for moderate to severe pain. After all, diamorphine has the same effect as morphine at half the dose, and he can only justify and fudge so many numbers.
Kaoru’s hands helped steady his shaking ones as he brought the glass to his lips. He gave the other man something of a half-hearted glare, despite the fact that he almost spilt it over himself. He just took deep breaths between sips, trying to get his stomach to settle, pretending that this wasn’t as pathetic as it was.
“While we get that you felt miserable, why all this?” Hikaru huffed, though there was genuine concern and query in his eyes, from what Kyoya could see, “Why forge prescriptions? Why morphine? Why fucking heroin?”
“It’s not like I set out to become a drug addict,” He drawled, but it only seemed to make him sound even more tired, “It didn’t start like that. At first, I needed what I was prescribing myself…”
He was miserable.
That wasn’t particularly a new state of being – he’d been on the receiving end of far too many well-meaning hair ruffles and pitying coos to be blind to the so-called “tragedies” in his life. Still, this particular brand of miserable was nearly unbearable. It reminded him far too much of middle school, his chest tightening at the realisation that it might be happening again, when that wasn’t an option.
He wasn’t sleeping without over the counter pills, he wasn’t hungry and couldn’t make himself eat, he didn’t want to see anyone. He’d just holed himself up in the nice apartment his father had arranged for him, close to his university; like he somehow managed to combine coddling and independence. Thinking on it now, it was probably his stepfather’s involvement also, but still. He was rather grateful for not having as many responsibilities as “commoner” students, having spent most of the day drifting in and out of sleep.
He knew it was lazy, not to mention unbefitting and more than a little antisocial, but he didn’t really have the energy to care anymore. That was the real issue. Not caring, then caring too much about said apathy, and it was something so confusing that he often just stared at the wall, head feeling as if it were floating several feet above his shoulders.
Still, his family didn't even notice when he returned for the holidays. Wasn't that a slap in the face? Yuuichi and Akito were grinning while running around the mansion with Fuyumi's little boy and girl, trying to discover the hidden presents. His father and step-father were in the kitchen, attempting to bake gingerbread without assistance, clad in hideous Christmas jumpers. He'd already heard the fire alarm go off several times, so he supposed that it wasn't particularly successful.
It was... odd. Like he was watching everything unfold behind the glass of a television screen. No one could see him, he was just on the outside looking in. The mansion was warm, there were so many people, but he still felt so... cold. Lonely. Isolated. He sighed, finally unlocking the door of his old bedroom and immediately catching a whiff of burnt sugar. Well, that was going to hang around for days.
It was all too little and too much at the same time. The terrible twosome - and the children - seemed to have moved on to somewhere else, leaving the hallway feeling almost abandoned in the cool December light that peeked in through the windows. He could hear muffled commotion, but nothing clear or vivid.
“Yuzuru, get off!”
“Come on, Yoshi; it's mistletoe!”
“Oh... You incorrigible old sod.”
It was so... happy. Surely his grandmother and grandfather were around somewhere, probably in the courtyard if those screeching noises really were tires on asphalt. His aunt would probably stay in her cave on Mount Crumpit until it was time for mass, whereas his uncle promised that he'd say hello before hitting the bars this year.
“WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT CORRUPTING MY KIDS?!”
“It’s the witch, run! Protect the presents!”
“WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME, YUUICHI?!”
Kyoya swallowed around the heart in his throat, blinked back the sting in his eyes. It was all fine, there was nothing to be upset about. It was just one of those times where apathy rubbed away, revealing something rawer. He was tired, a little frustrated with himself, and he knew that if he were to go downstairs, this feeling off hollowness would at least be warmer for a little while.
Rather than go downstairs, Kyoya had a different idea in mind. After all, he'd managed to diagnose himself, and he didn't want to admit that what he had wasn't even physical. There was no medical reason for his low energy and even lower mood, merely something psychological. Basically psychosomatic, really.
No, rather than go down and sit by the fire, letting Yuzuru ruffle his hair and his father watch him playing puzzle games on his phone, he snuck across to Yuuichi's office. His brother had taken it over since their father retired, very much intent on sticking around, much to their fathers' hidden dismay, and there was one key difference to how Yuuichi and their father arranged the space; Yuuichi was predictable.
He closed the door softly behind him, though took normal steps - not tiptoeing like he once had. It was less conspicuous to act as if you were doing nothing wrong, after all. He merely went over to the desk, opening the top draw, and there - under a file - was his brother's prescription pad. There were even pens in a nice little stationary cup on top of the desk, waiting to be used.
He put the pad on the table, putting the pen in his left hand rather than his right to imitate that God-awful scrawl his brother wrote in, and filled in those important little details. Sertraline, 50mg, to be taken once daily. Easy enough.
He tore it off neatly, like his brother tended to do, and pocketed the slip. He'd take it to the pharmacy soon. Not the one in the hospital, of course; that would just be stupid. It would be too easy to get caught out, after all.
For now, he just went back to his room to put the slip in his bag, feeling at least slightly more productive than he had in weeks, finally with a plan.
When he finally settled down in front of the fire, the little ones swarming him with their cute cries of uncle Kyo, it still felt a little empty. He just played around a little, got them to settle down, and laid down next to the little rascals, cuddling up to them as they snuggled into the ugly – but fluffy – rug that Yuzuru had insisted on.
It would do for now.
The Christmas season has come once more, it seems, and Kiyomi and Daisuke are growing like weeds. It seems like only yesterday that I was their age, and my brothers were running around with me to find the hidden presents. Time flies, I suppose; whether you’re enjoying it or not.
It’s the fragility of the line between past, present and future, I suppose. After all, when is it drawn? The past ceases to exist and then you find yourself looking back over it, going by in a rose-tinted blur. It always seems sunny in hindsight, I find. It’s just a shame that I’m a miserable sod in the present, but I look back over memories I once found boring and feel warm nostalgia.
Perhaps, if I allow myself to dig into my own psychology for a moment – which is the purpose of these entries, I suppose – it’s probably due to my own set of complexes. I won’t allow myself to find joy in frivolous things in the present, so it’s a delayed reaction. Suppressed. It’s just another way I differ, it seems; usually, people repress the bad to protect their psyche from trauma, whereas I do the opposite.
Of course, I also suspect that the past looks so sunny because it holds some of my most innocent mentalities and cherished memories. I remember sparkling princess dresses and my rosy cheeked, albeit temporary, crush on Kuze – not that it didn’t end in heartbreak and the loss of some innocence, on both sides. I remember church choirs and being picked for my first solo performance, and how much praise I was given by my grandmother and even my aunt. I remember stargazing and lips pressing against my own, both of us laughing as if we were normal teenagers who had no worries, yet acting like we didn’t know each other that following Monday.
Of course, I also remember the host club. It’s still so strange to thing that it slipped into the past, almost like sand between my fingers. I feel so isolated. Tamaki and I still see each other, now stepbrothers, but he’s not here yet. He wants to spend time with Haruhi and Ranka, but he did promise that he’d be over soon.
I don’t want to be so dependant on the relationship we have, but Honey was never my favourite person, and my friendship with Mori was more silent companionship. We’ve drifted apart, somewhere along the way. Hikaru isn’t interested in talking, any texts we try to send back and forth tend to be succinct, and not in the pleasant way.
I haven’t spoken to Kaoru in months, I’m not sure why. Perhaps I should reflect on that more, rather than the past. After all, I still haven’t answered a single text or email he’s sent, feeling far too… afraid of rejection, I suppose. Perhaps that’s why Hikaru has nothing to do with me anymore…
“Oh, boo hoo.”
Kyoya huffed, turning to see the damned old man again, still looking less than put together. To add insult to injury, it also seemed he was going mad. Some ghostly spectre that looked to be a cheap knock-off of the ghost of Christmas future had obviously taken a liking to him, and the bastard’s hobby was nit-picking.
“You know why you don’t want to talk to Kaoru, you just wrote it,” The old man drawled, hauling himself up pathetically into a half-sitting position, “You’re a coward, and an idiotic one. The solutions to your problems are just so simple but fear always gets in the way. That’s what Kyoya Ootori does the best; run away.”
“Shut up!” He snapped, feeling far too drained to deal with the assault on his character at the moment, “I didn’t ask your opinion.”
“Self-reflection,” The man smirked, voice lilting almost serenely until he doubled over, dry-retching over the arm of the chair he’d sprawled over.
“Oh… Whatever,” He muttered, closing his notebook with an air of finality before climbing into bed, eyes straying to his bag. He’d take it to the pharmacy soon, and he’d be fine. He would.

Hello!! Could I please have an imagine of the Hosts proposing to their s/o? Thank you so much!
Awww, that’s such a sweet request, thanks a lot! Sorry this took so long, I’m currently working on an English paper. I hope you’ll like this ^^
Since you didn’t say if you wanted Haruhi too I decided not to do her cause that would have taken even longer
-May
Tamaki:
You had noticed that Tamaki had been a bit of a nervous wreck today. He was stammering throughout your entire date, but you just couldn’t really figure out why exactly. It wasn’t some special day or something, right?
“Hey Tamaki? Is everything alright?” you asked, squeazing his hand a bit.
“O-of course! Why? You’re having a good time, aren’t you?” he smiled. “Do wanna get some cotton candy?” he suggested. And he was right, you were having an awesome time. Tamaki had taken you to the amusement park where you to had been frequently going to ever since you had started to date.
And even though the amusement park was not as extravagant as other things that you two had done together, it would still always be your favorite kind of date. The two of you had taken all of your favorite rides, ate something and now you were walking through the small alleyways of the park, hand in hand, filled with cute boothes.
By now it was getting dark outside and he carefully wrapped his jacket around his shoulders. “Hey, ____, let’s go to the ferris wheel, yeah? I have an idea!” he said and quickly started to pull you forward, making you giggle along the way. You loved to see him this happy and excited.
When Tamaki talked to one of the guy in front of the wheel for a second, you hadn’t paid much attention to it. After all he talked to pretty much every person.
“Do you remember when we were in this ferris wheel for the first time?” your boyfriend asked, looking at you with a grin spreading all across his face.
“Of course, we were barely out of high school and- Oh my god, what’s happening?!” you suddenly yelled as the wheel suddenly stopped and your cabing began to shake a bit. It took you a moment to get a grip again, but the second you turned back around to Tamaki you almost forgot how to sit upright all together.
There he was, kneeling in front of you, a little black velvet box in his hands. He cleared his throat, looking up to you. “_____. I love you more than anything else and I thought if I would ever do this it had to be here.” he smiled and took a look around the small cabin standing still at the very top of the wheel. “You’re already making me the luckiest man alive every day that I get to spend with you. And I hope that I’ll be able to make you the happiest wife and the most beautiful Mrs. Suoh the world has ever seen. So, _____ _____ will you marry me?”
For a moment you stood there in silent shock. Because oh god, he had made this ferris wheel stop for you and that was the cutest speech you ever heard him give you and before you even knew it you were launging yourself down at him, urging him to put the ring on your finger.
“Yes! Yes, of course!” you laughed, admiring the ring for a moment before pressing a sweet kiss to Tamaki’s lips. “I love you.”
Kyoya:
“Oh my god Kyoya, please tell me you didn’t pay this string orchestra to play here for me.” you said as you two entered your favorite restaurant, which admittedly wasn’t a cheap one, but still not the kind to always have an orchestra around. And you knew how your boyfriend tended to go the extra mile.
“And if that’s the case?” he smirked, helping you out of your jacket and giving it to one of the staff members. Then he proceeded to lead you to a table, pulling a chair out for you before any waiter had the chance to do so.
“Choose whatever you want, we have a lot of time today.” he told you as you were given the menu, even though you knew that you’s both end up with chef’s choice anyway.
“What gives it today? I haven’t forgotten our anniversary or anything, right?” you asked playfully. Both of you knew fully well that that wasn’t the case.
“Of course not. I thought it was merely a nice evening to go out and have dinner.” he said, looking at you gently. Somehow, you still couldn’t bring yourself to belive that there wasn’t more to it. Probably due to the fact that the string orchestra was slowly nearing your table and there seemed to be an aweful lot of candles around. Kyoya was classy, not sappy. However, when the first course arrived you were distracted for a while.
It was only towards the end of your dinner, the only course remaining the desert when something happened again.
“Kyoya, why are you getting up?” you asked as he slowly got up from the table and moved to your side. The orchestra that had been getting a bit quiter returned to playing like before. “Hey, what are you doing? Oh my god!” you squealed as you immediately realised what was happening.
Kyoya lowered himself down onto one knee and pulled a simple golden ring with a light blue stone out of his pocket. Then he began to speak up: “____, this might be an old fashioned way to do this, but I still think that here is the ideal place for this. I also believe that you’re the ideal person.” you could see a blush on his cheeks and took you all you had to keep you from interrupting his little speech. “So, would you do me the honor and become my wife and a part of the Ootori family?”
You literally burst into a giant grin the second he was done speaking. “Of course, of course!” you smiled, watching in awe as he slipped the ring on and got onto his feet again, gracing the side of your face with his hand. You didn’t even register the clapping of all the other resaturant guests around you. “I love you, ____” he said, giving you a chaste kiss.
Hikaru:
You had learned quite a lot ever since you started dating Hikaru Hitachiin.
Firstly, never kiss any Hitachiin unless you’re absolutely sure that it is, in fact, Hikaru. Otherwise you will never hear the end of it.
Secondly, thh guy wasn’t really good with emotions, especially not his own, so you were to be very careful with them. Doing things like, for example, acidentally kissing Kaoru proved to be counterproductive.
And finally, nothing ever went as you imagined, so you were basically always prepared to be in for a wild ride. Still, you hadn’t expacted the turn out of this day anywhere near this.
You were currently staying with him and his family at the Hitachiin holiday residence on Bali and basically spend the entire day fooling around in the water, trying out exotic food and plotting pranks on Kaoru together.
To be precise, this was what you were doing right now. Hikaru and you were sitting in the sand, leaning over his phone together and plotting out some plan that involved Kaoru sleeping and a huge amount of ice cubes. Admittedly not the most creatve one, but still worth a try.
“No, no! We have to get crushed ice, otherwise it won’t get into his swimtrunks!” you giggled, leaning closer into his shoulder. However, Hikaru hadn’t expected the sudden shift, making both of you fall over.
In a matter of seconds, you were reduced to a pile of tangled limbs and laughter, which it took you longer to recover from than it would have to pull through the plan. Still out of breath, you put your head into the crook of his neck, watching as he fiddled with your fand.
“This is probably a bad time, but marry me?” he whispered, not letting his eyes stray from your joined hands.
You froze in shock. “What?” you whispered back. You didn’t even know why you were whispering, no one was near you.
“Marry me. I love you. I know I don’t have a ring right now and it’s not romantic, but please marry me.” he said a bit louder, turning his face towards you. He wasn’t joking, you noticed, he was completely serious. “I love you.” he repeated, pressing his forehead against your.
Your head was spinning, a thousand questions came to your mind. But none of these managed to make it out of your mouth. “It’s actually the perfect moment.” you laughed, looking into his eyes. “Yes, I want to marry you.”
Grinning, he leaned forward to kiss you, not caring that you were wet and covered in sand.
Kaoru:
“C’mon, ____! The Fireworks are about to start!” Kaoru said, dragging you to the edge of the hill you were on. It was a party, all of your old high school friends were there, watching the Tsuchiura Fireworks from a nice private property with a small hill owned by the Morinozukas.
You followed Kaoru, looking at the sky expectantly. And it wasn’t a second to late. As soon as you looked up, colours started exploding all over the night sky, illuminating the entire place.
“It’s so beautiful...” you whispered, not looking away for a second.
“Yeah, it is. I can’t believe you never went to see it before! They always show off their new tricks here cause it’s one of the last fireworks of the year.” Kaoru explained, turning his face to admire you looking at the fireworks. “Your face looks all colourful.” he whispered, just loud enough it could be heard over the sounds of the fireworks. “It’s beautiful.”
This time, you actually tore your gaze away from the sky and looked back at him. He was just taking two glasses of champagne from someone, handing you one with a smirk. “Have a drink.” he said, chinking his glass with yours.
You took a sip of the drink. It was delicious and you didn’t even want to imagine its price.
There was comfortable silence between you for a few minutes, just gazing at the colourful image above you, occassionally drinking from your glasses.
When something cold and hard suddenly touched your lip while drinking you started. You held your glass out in front of you, inspecting the contents closer. As soon as you realized what you were seeing you gasped and turned around to Kaoru. “Kaoru, I-” you began, but were already interrupted by him.
“I actually wanted to ask you for a long time, but I couldn’t seem to do it yet...” he grinned sheepishly. “And since I knw that you really, really like to watch fireworks I thought it would be something special if I did this here. So-” he cleared his throat and you could see him blush and nervously fiddle with his sleeves. “_____, I love you and I know you love me as well, so will you make me the happiest person ever and become my wife?” he asked, the blush only getting stronger.
You felt tears of happiness gathering at the corners of your eyes and darted forwards to wrap your arms around Kaoru and bury your face against his chest. “Yes!” you whispered. “Yes, yes, yes!” it was like mantra and when you finally seperated you couldn’t stop the tears when he put the ring on your finger, brining your hand to his mouth to kiss it. You swore you could see some tears slipping down his own cheeks as well.
Mori:
It was a quiet and calm day.
You and Mori were both having a day off, relaxing at your flat. After all, you had decided that it would be a little weird to live in one of the Morinozuka mansions with just the two of you and living with his family in the main mansion wasn’t really an option either.
Still, it was a nice flat, very roomy and with a large balcony, providing an excellent view of the city. Right no, you were standing on said balcony, a cup of coffee in your hands. Christmas was coming up soon and you hoped to have snow every day now.
You stood there, watching the city for a few more minutes before you heard the door behind you slowly open, turning around to meet your boyfriend.
He was strangely nice dressed, you noticed. Instead of a shirt and jeans as usual, he had opted for a white button down and slacks. Mori didn’t say anything,, he only extended his hand to you.
“What do you want to do?” you asked, as you took it and he led you back inside the flat and to the kitchen.
“I prepared dinner.” he smiled and pulled out a chair for you to sit on. Now, that was a rare occasion and you smiled back at him. “Wow, that’s great!” you said, “What’s the cause?”
This time he only answered with a shrug and a smile and you knew he had something planned. Otherwise he would have just let a staff member make the dinner like usual.
You two ate mostly in a comfortable silence like you usualy did, talking about little things now and then.
“So, for real, why did you make dinner?” you asked after you were finished and went to the living room.
“Well, there is a reason.” he mumbled, pulling something out of his trousers’ pocket. When you saw the small velvet box, your heart ksipped a beat.
“Takashi, what are you...? Are you going to...?” you stuttered and stared at him with wide eyes. He looked down on you with an adoring look on his face, moving a hand to pat your hair.
“______, we have been together for a long time now and you make me very happy. So, will you marry me?” he asked, revealing the silver ring to you. It was beautiful and for a second you couldn’t bring yourself to do anything other than furiously nodding.
“Yes! I want to! This is beautiful, thank you, Takashi!” you gasped when you gained your speech back, hugging him as tightly as you could and in a matter of seconds he had picked you up from the ground. “I love you.” he said quietly, pressing a kiss to your temple.
Hunny:
Hunny and you were out having coffee and some cake at your favorite cafe, like you usually did on the weekends. He was talking about some thring that Yasuchika had told him from unversity, smiling at you and making sure you were eating up your cake.
“And then Chika said that he’s trying to e into the same field as Takashi. Why doesn’t he want to do the same as me?” Hunny pouted and chomped down onto another spoonfull of cake.
It made you chuckle. “Well, that are just his own interests.” you smiled, watching your adorable boyfriend. “He’s probably looking to go his own path.”
“Yeah, I know, _____chan.” he said, “I’ll still get to see him at training anyway!”
The two of talked about your own time at university for a while and you were jut laughing at some story Hunny told you about Mori getting angry when he had continued to bring his bunny to unversity despite his promise, when Hunny said: “Hey, ____chan! They have a new dessert tray, do you wanna try it?” he asked, looking at you with big eyes.
Oh god, he really was insateable, wasn’t he? But you still loved it. “What? BUt we just had all this cake!” you playfully whined, not really intending to tell him no. Even if you couldn’t eat anymore, there was no way he wouldlet any sweets go to waste.
“But I really, really wanna try it!” he said and cheered when you nodded. “Yay!”
It didn’t take long for the try to arrive and to be honest, it really looked amazing. There were tons of heart shaped chocolates and bisquits decorated in variuos colours. In fact, there were so many heart shaped things on the plate that you almost didn’t notice that the heart in the center of the plate wasn’t even made of chocolate.
“Huh? What’s that?” you asked, taking a closer look at it. Was it a box or something?
“Well, you should take a look!” he said, watching you expectantly.
Without much of a second thought, you grabbed the thing and figured out that, yes, it was indeed a box. You carefully opened it and were stunned when you saw the contents.
Before you could even say anything, Hunny was already starting to talk. “And? Do you like it? It reminded me of!” he grinned. The ring was golden and had a beautiful pale pink stone on top of it.
“Yeah, I like it...” you whispered still in disbelief.
“So, what do you say? Do you want to be my wife, _____chan?” Hunny asked, standing up and taking the ring out of the box.
“How could I say no?” you smiled, happy tears gathering in your eyes. “This is so beautiful. I love you.” you breathed as he slipped the ring on you and took one of the heart shaped chocolates to put it into your mouth.
“I love you too,___chan! And now we have to finish all these sweets!”

A Wife’s Duty - Eisuke Ichinomiya - Part 3: Bullet Wound
By the way, I’m making ‘A Wife’s Duty’ into a real, proper series. I have many ideas for the plot that I think you all will enjoy. And I’m sorry for not updating, I’ve had many exams and revision to do. Hope you enjoy!
Plot: Eisuke mysteriously becomes involved in a serious car accident. While he remains unconscious, Vivian tries to track down the person responsible for hurting her husband. As the bidders try to solve the main problem, many new problems arise and Vivian experiences what it is really like to be a billionaire’s wife. During hard times, Vivian finds that the best place to feel safe is the presence of her love. But if her enemies can’t make her crumble, who can?
Characters: Vivian Ichinomiya (MC); Eisuke Ichinomiya; Soryu Oh; Mitsunari Baba; Ota Kisaki; Mamoru Kishi; Luke Foster; Shuichi Hishikura; Hikaru Aihara
Episodes: Part 1, Part 2, Part 4
Some loud voices come from the living room so I head there quickly. In there, I see my two nephews and niece. Eizo, Ekiken and Eiko.
“Auntie Vivian!”
Except for Eizo, the other two ran into me and hugged the life out of me. When I looked at Eizo, he had a shy look on his face but came over and wrapped his arms around me from behind. His head laid on my back while Ekiken and Eiko hugged me from the front. I was surrounded by their warmth, something I haven’t felt for a few months now.
The three siblings are Yukari’s children, and they adore their Uncle Eisuke very much. Well, at least Ekiken and Eiko do. Eizo seems to butt heads with Eisuke all the time but they see eye to eye when it comes to Yukari. They seem to love me as much as they love Yukari, which sometimes makes me want to have children, like Yukari.
Eizo is the eldest son. He is dominant, rude, competitive and a natural leader but despite this, he is very loving, in his own little way, to his siblings and parents.
Ekiken is the second son, a year older than Eiko. Ekiken is quite the opposite of Eizo. He is a bit like Yukari: friendly, caring, and loving, he goes with the flow in any situation. But Ekiken is highly efficient and will get the work done, no matter what it is.
Eiko is Yukari’s third child, her first daughter. She is so loving and a definite favourite in the family since Eisuke, Eizo and Ekiken spoil her so much. But Yukari has been able to give her some moral guidance too. Eiko is our little queen who wants everything in the world, and of course, that’s not impossible with Eisuke around.
“What are you all doing here? When did you all get here?” I ask.
We sit down on the expensive white couches.
“We just arrived in England, auntie,” Eiko says.
“We heard. About Uncle Eisuke.” Eizo looks away from me as he says this, instead, putting his attention to outside the window.
“Oh. I see.”
“Where is he?” Ekiken asks. I take them into our bedroom, where Eisuke lays unmoving, except for this chest which moves up and down slowly.
Things become slightly sentimental as they each find it hard to say something. Eiko holds Eisuke’s hand while Eizo and Ekiken stand by the side of the bed.
“He’s been like this for a while now. Doctors don’t even know when he’ll wake up.”
“How are you coping with all this Auntie Vivian?” Ekiken asks me, with a small voice.
“Eisuke’s still alive. That’s enough for me. But it would be better if he woke up.” I reply, gazing at Eisuke’s form.
After a few minutes, we leave. I found out that the kids were worried about their uncle. Yukari has no idea but it’s best that it stays that way. Not until I get my hands on the one who did this to Eisuke in the first place.
I tell the kids as much as they want to hear, leaving out small details about the auctions and where I got my information from.
“So they’ll be coming here?”
“Yes. The plan’s all set.”
Suddenly my phone goes off. Soryu seems to be calling me.
“What is it?”
“They’re requesting to see you in person.”
I stood up slowly.
“Who?” I ask in a small voice.
“The directors of Hideaki. They want to see you in the lobby.”
What could they possibly want? And to see me in the lobby? I need to be cautious.
“Alright. I’m on my way.” I hang up the phone and turn to Eizo.
“Eizo, they want to see me in person. In the lobby. You three can stay up here with Eisuke if you wish.”
“No. We’re coming too,” Eiko demands.
I sigh. “Fine, just let me handle it. Don’t unnecessarily say anything that will agitate them.” They all nod and follow me down to the lobby.
As we get out of the penthouse elevator, we see a man standing impatiently from down below.
When my foot stepped onto the polished lobby floor, the man said: “Where is the cloth?”
“Oh, it should be somewhere around. Why don’t you go look for it?”
“Shut up. I bought it. So give it to me.”
“Hm. I’ll give it you, but only when you answer my question.”
He looked slightly agitated but kept quiet.
“A car accident. Down in Brighton. What do you know about it?”
The man strangely looked confused by my question.
“Well… why do you need to know anyway? Give me the cloth.”
“Fine, if you can’t answer that question, answer this one: why are you trying to kill my husband?”
“Who is your husband?” He said.
“What?” I asked. If he doesn’t who Eisuke is, then that means-
The director suddenly pulls out a gun from the inside of his jacket and points it straight at my head.
“Auntie!”
“Vivian!”
“Stay back. It’s fine.” I said confidently.
He smirks at me and pulls his finger on the trigger slowly. Everything seems to happen at once. Another gunshot was heard from further away at the director’s leg. As he falls to his knees, he pulls the trigger. But it wasn’t me who took the bullet.
“Eisuke!”
The only thing I could see was Eisuke’s back, his white pinstripe shirt stained with blood on his lower left back. He fell backwards into my arms. Eiko put his head on her lap, while Eizo and Ekiken rushed to his side.
I was on the other side of him. I placed the palm of my hand onto his wound, slightly pushing onto it to try to stop the bleeding. I could see the pain in his eyes but his lips curved into a thin smile as Eisuke looks up at me.
“Eisuke, please. We’re… we’re going to get you help. Where’s Luke?!” I started to panic. I turned my head to see Soryu and Mamoru take away the director of Hideaki.
“Eisuke, Eisuke why? Why did you…”
He squeezes my hand and says “We’re meant to protect each other, remember?”
Tears fell from my eyes as I cup his face with my hands.
“Y-you c-can’t leave me. I-I won’t allow you too! You don’t have a choice in the matter!” I tried to sound like Eisuke but it just caused me to break down even more.
“You’re so reckless! I’m nothing without you!” I couldn’t stop the sadness from taking over my body.
“Usually you think carefully, but now? What about now?”
“I started running even before I knew what I was doing. I woke up… with a terrible feeling that something would happen to you. And I prevented it from happening.”
“By taking it on yourself?!” My head fell onto his chest and I sobbed.
“It was so hard when you got into a car accident. But now? This may be even worse!” Then I realised that Eisuke was still alive, somehow, and I could finally hear his voice.
Baba and Ota suddenly turn up with Luke.
“Vivian, get a hold of yourself. Eisuke will be fine.” Baba said, helping me up. Luke took a look at Eisuke, but Eisuke suddenly blacked out. His eyes closed.
“Eisuke!”
“Who shot him?” I asked.
As Eisuke and Luke are in the bedroom, I question what had happened in the lobby. We had to control the people from the IVC and the staff. Most people didn’t hear the shots fired. Eizo, Ekiken and Eiko volunteered to control the crowd as we took Eisuke away.
“I did,” Soryu said.
“The director?” Baba asked.
“Yes, but when I interrogated him, he pulled off a well-made mask.”
“A mask?” Ota asked.
“So that wasn’t the director?” I said.
“Yes, he said he was paid to kill you, Vivian. I’ve locked him up for now. What should I do with him?”
I thought for a moment.
“Has he got any other information?”
“No. That’s all he knows.”
“Get rid of him.”
“Alright.”
“Vivian’s getting scarier by the second,” Ota said. I glared at him and he yelled, hiding behind Baba.
“Don’t hide behind me! She’ll kill me instead!”
“That’s the whole point.”
“Hey!”
“It’s understandable though. Your anger is justified since your husband was shot right in front of you.” Shuichi said.
I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.
“Somehow, it’s like back in Dubai. Do you remember?” Shuichi stated.
I thought back to when Eisuke was stabbed, trying to protect me, by that man in a mask, who was paid to do it. When the knife was heading straight for him anyway, Eisuke had still let himself take the blow to save me. Although, back then, the man wore a physical mask, something different. This time, the man wore a real looking mask, which duplicated the director himself.
I was slightly reckless and bold back then, but now I need to be far more cunning than just letting myself be ‘bait’.
I sighed, “It was such a twist of fate. For all of us.”
“We should look into that incident. I mean, the man was never caught.” Mamoru said, lying on the couch.
“Yes, we should. But where do we start is the question. This man carefully stayed out of the picture while all of this was happening.” I replied.
“Only Eisuke really knows the truth, isn’t that right?” Soryu said.
I looked at Soryu but before I could say anything else, Luke came out of the bedroom.
“How is he?” I asked.
“I was able to stop the bleeding and I took out the bullet. He won’t be able to do too much, so make sure that he doesn’t put too much pressure on his body. Vivian, make sure to re-bandage Eisuke every 6-8 hours.”
I nodded and went upstairs. As I opened the door, I saw Eisuke looking up at the ceiling, lost in thought.
“Eisuke?” I sat down on the side of the bed, taking his hand into my own.
He turned his head to me and said: “I’m sorry.”
I stayed quiet and let him speak.
“I… shouldn’t have gone to Brighton. To that meeting. If I had stayed like you said, we probably wouldn’t be in this mess right now.”
“It’s okay. We can’t do anything about it now.” He pouted in response.
I smile and placed my hand on his bandaged torso.
“Does it hurt?”
“Of course it does. But I feel much better than when I did a few hours ago.”
I walked around the bed, to the other side, and lay next to Eisuke. I rested my head on his shoulder and let my hand rest on his chest.
“How did you wake up? You mentioned downstairs that you woke up with a bad feeling. But how?”
“Do you want the truth?”
I looked up at Eisuke.
“I really don’t know. All I remember is feeling your touch and presence leaving the room. I thought something bad happened. Or was going to happen. My head was splitting but I couldn’t care less about the pain because you weren’t with me.”
I nuzzled my face into his shoulder, taking all of his warmth selfishly for myself.
