Sorry that the rest of the mutual requests are taking a while - the UK is going through a pretty bad heatwave atm, which is making it very uncomfortable to actually sit down and draw. Fortunately it should be cooling down soon, so I’m hoping to get them done in a few days time!

Honestly, you’re really strong.
You’ve been having a lot of bad dates and stupid, awkward encounters with your ex, Kyungsoo.
But thankfully, who is there for you? Your dear Jungkook. Your roommate who has been with you for quite some time now and it’s safe to say that you’ve gotten a lot of used to his presence, and his stupid jokes.
It’s a new day and you feel a little less depressed as compared to the last week, the sun is out and you feel really hot— literally because the weather is getting warmer and warmer.
Jungkook is sitting on the couch watching football, he’s kind of obsessed with it and he’s always screaming at the screen like a maniac, “WHAT THE FUCK?!!?! YN DID YOU SEE THIS?”
Your ears hurt.
He’s probably talking about some goal that you’re not interested in, How can you be when you’re actually really concerned about your love life these days, you and kyungsoo broke up up quite some time ago and you’ve been struggling with dating.
You’re definitely over him, so what is the problem? You don’t know when that’s frustrating you.
“shut up- you’re too loud.” You snap, closing your eyes and frustration because it’s way too early in the morning, you are definitely a night owl, and he’s quite literally sunshine.
Jungkook eyes are focused on you now, “Woah you need to get laid- I’m volunteering if you care.” His stupid remark has you glaring at him and he just laughs it off, he winks at you in return. And just after that he has started to shamelessly stare at your chest.
He’s not wrong- you do need to get laid.
And Yeah, you’re wearing a top so what? It’s really hot.
“you’re so hot.” Jungkook breathes out. You can see his eyes, and his pupils are quite bright. He’s got pretty eyes. He’s really pretty. Not that you would say that to his face because he will eat your brain that you complimented him and that you want to fuck him.
You don’t.
Well, you’re not sure.
“I know tell me something I don’t know, and stop staring at my tits- they don’t talk.” You scold him, but his gaze just doesn’t budge, you’re so used to him that it doesn’t make you uncomfortable.
You just roll your eyes at him. “Bet I can make them..” Your gaze hardens and you pick up a pillow from your couch and hit him with it.
He’s so shameless.
Jungkook pretends to be hurt, whining that you hit him hard. What a manchild, “quit it Jeon.” You warn him and he smirks. “And if I don’t? You’re going to punish me?! Please do.” He begs.
You scoff in disgust, but just then you get an idea- you’re going to mess with him. It’s your turn to smirk as you look at him in the eyes once again. “you’re walking on thin ice and you say that you want me to give you a chance, but… not sure if I should because you are a creep.” You shrug and it’s so satisfying the way his expressions change from smug to anxious.
You got him.
VICTORY.
“what are you talking about? I’m not a creep. And I…I please give me one chance all right I’ll stop my remarks.” he is struggling like an idiot. It’s is really nice to be in control.
“respectfully you just have nice breasts.” he shrugs, but you can tell he’s still panicking about what you just said. He ain’t wrong though you got nice breasts but it’s not nice to stare at them.
“Shut up- THIN ICE.”
You warn him, and he puts a finger on his mouth- his doe eyes are literally so panicky, “ugh I have work..” you whine- and Jungkook has started to focus on the game once again, “hey?! You have work too!!!? get up!”
“Yeah no. I won’t get scolded if I’m a little late because my boss kind of likes me.” He laughs.
What a fuckboy.
“you fuck your boss?!!” You know that’s not what he said or implied but you’re so curious, “uh no? Yn you’re mean!” he looks back at you acting so offended.
“whatever— before I go and change? I think you can take me out on a date I’m giving you a chance.”
You get up before he can even give you a reaction because you know he’s gonna freak out and your prediction is confirmed when you can hear him screaming like an idiot.
You smile as you go back to your room to get ready for work, it wouldn’t be a mistake to give him a chance because he obviously likes you and— he’s been asking you out forever, so why not?
But you’re not sure if you are gonna work out as a couple because he’s too much sometimes, But you’re still going to give him one chance to prove himself.
“YN I LOVE YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH. OH MY GOD YOU’RE NOT GONNA BE DISAPPOINTED. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. I WILL TEXT YOU ALL THE DETAILS.”
You giggle as you shut the door behind you.
Sure.
Tumblr media
He’s still having those wet dreams about you, it’s a struggle for him and he’s concerned because he’s never felt this way for anyone, and it’s just not the wet dreams.
His feelings for you are the main problem.
He annoys the fuck out of you and your both sitting in the couch, he’s pretending to watch football, but it’s hard for him to focus when you’re right next to him smelling like a goddess, and that top of yours?
It’s torture.
Jungkook gets distracted for a minute when his favorite team scores a goal and he screams, he knows that you get annoyed with him and he does that but it’s so fun to get these reactions out of you.
He loves it when you tell him to shut up. And yeah it’s not your fault that you’re so hot because it’s really warm, you just have to make everything look so good.
He looks at you for a minute, and then his gaze just automatically goes to your chest.
You are quite magnificent.
“You’re so hot.” he can’t help but compliment you when you just shrugged and say that you know.
Your confidence is so hot, Jungkook tries his best to be subtle with his lust and attraction towards you, but sometimes it’s just impossible for his tongue to not slip.
He says some things that get you angry.
You hit him with a couch pillow, and he Reacts dramatically, he was just kidding about that one joke. “Ugh.” He whines.
And just like that you guys banter for a while, that isn’t until he fucks it up a little bit more, and you warn him
No, he cannot lose his chance with you.
“I…I please give me one chance. All right, I’ll stop with my remarks.” He is so stupid. Why can’t he keep his hormones and tongue in check?
He doesn’t want you to think that it’s only because he’s physically attracted to you, it’s more than that, yeah, he dreams about fucking you but he also dreams about being with you forever.
That’s how much he likes you.
So please just give him one chance— he thinks to himself when you bring up work and he knows that yeah he has to go to work, but his boss is quite lenient and the pay is really good.
He is watching the game once again when you accuse him of fucking his boss, he does not do that— Jungkook feels a little bad, because that’s all you think of him?
“uh no I don’t- Yn you’re mean!” he looks at you and this time your breasts don’t distract him, he wants you to think of him as a man that is of commitment, but he has a lot to prove.
He has really fucked up his chances—? He feels his heart break as negative thoughts consume him, and he cannot even log into your eyes anymore.
You get up, probably get ready for work because you take everything in your life or seriously and you’re Punctual.
You’re so perfect for him
But maybe it looks like he’s not perfect for you. And that sucks, Should he just give up on you? He’s not sure.
“whatever— before I go and change? I think you can take me out on a date I’m giving you a chance.”
Did he just hear you right? Did you really just say you don’t give him a chance? And then he can take you out on a date
He tilts his head so fast, absolutely freaked out, his eyes are white, and his mouth is agape,
He’s not being delusional right now, is he?
“Y-Yn what did you just say?
He stutters out because he really cannot believe what you just said right now, have you hit your head or something because he’s asked you the same question for the past year but you have denied him, so why the sudden change?
He feels so happy right now- jungkook gets up from the couch and goes after you, but before he can catch you, so we can confirm what he just heard you giggle.
“YN I LOVE YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH. OH MY GOD YOU’RE NOT GONNA BE DISAPPOINTED. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. I WILL TEXT YOU ALL THE DETAILS.” Before you can actually shut the door he says it out loud.
and you shut the door behind you.

Married | Part II
LINK TO PART ONE
Coriolanus Snow x Reader | 5.1K words
FILTHY SMUT 18+ ONLY. oral (m and f receiving), dubcon, alcohol makes consent messy, brutal sex, blackout drunk, bad media coverage, lingerie, exhibitionism (a little), they’re both terrible for each other in the best way possible, possessiveness <3 this one gets a bit dark.
Married, back by popular demand. hope it’s okay. i worked hard, i’m a bit nervous. let me know what you thought. requests always open.
“Not a villain,” Coriolanus scoffed. “A star.”
He inhaled and set his sights towards his next objective. Already leaning in, Coriolanus pulled [Y/N]’s earlobe between his lips tantalizingly. “Now, I seem to recall being promised a blowjob, my Darling.”
[Y/N] sighed. “I had hoped you’d forgotten.”
Coriolanus smirked, inches from her face. “I never forget a promise.” He muttered.
The driver pulled up in front of them with his car and Coriolanus pulled [Y/N] inside. [Y/N] put her head on Coriolanus’ shoulder instead of putting on her seatbelt for the short drive home. She was drunk enough not to care if she was touching him, or if he was touching her. Coriolanus was touching her. He was touching her too much already at her thighs and hips. The pair of them had already broken the touch barrier that evening, but her brain was too loopy to try to push any kind of new/old boundary.
[Y/N] blinked heavily. She was able to tell that Coriolanus was already becoming frustrated with the bulk of tulle that was her black gown. It was funny for an engagement party when she thought about it, since it stood in stark contrast to her crisp white wedding gown. Coriolanus couldn’t seem to figure out how to touch her right under all the fabric as he had then they were standing earlier.
“Is your wedding dress going to be easier to handle?” Coriolanus said into the back of her ear. “This one is starting to get on my nerves.”
“I can’t tell you that. You’re not ‘pposed to see it til you see it at the alter.” She giggled sadly.
Coriolanus frowned. “Ancient superstition,” he said. “I’m not seeing it anyway. You’d be telling me about it. It’s different.”
“Nice try.”
Coriolanus’ frown deepened as he rolled his icy blue ice. “May I ask you something else, then?”
“It depends.” [Y/N] said clearly. Too clearly, really. That was the problem with drunk people, they knew they were drunk, but they tried to prove to everyone around them that they weren’t.
Coriolanus laughed at her expense. She was behaving like a child. He found it equal parts charming and frustrating. “Have you ever given a blowjob before?” He asked too loudly for [Y/N]’s liking.
“Coriolanus!” She gasped, smacking his arm.
“I’m just asking! You don’t have to strike me. Haven’t we had enough of that for one night?”
[Y/N] hated Coriolanus. He made her blood boil. “What does it matter?” She growled.
“I was curious if you had offered because it was a matter of superior ability, or because that was the only thing you had to offer.”
“You’re calling me desperate!”
“I wasn’t specifically, but since we both agree that it’s true…”
“All this was shaping up to be halfway tolerable, and you open your big mouth again. Fuck you!”
“Yeah, I know. You fucking me is what I was aiming for. Yes or no on the blowjob thing? I was assuming you had, if it makes any difference.”
[Y/N] paused. She had given a blowjob. Quite a few, actually. They were very convenient for getting out of a bad situation fast. She didn’t answer. [Y/N] still didn’t have the courage to say that in front of the driver.
“You can say yes. I know you’re not a virgin.” Coriolanus said bluntly.
Coriolanus would know that. Prior to their engagement, it was true that [Y/N] had pulled Coriolanus in for a quick fuck at a University party. She was shocked that he implied he even remembered that for as drunk as she recalled him being. [Y/N] wondered if the two of them would only ever be able to love each other under the influence.
“Can this conversation wait a few moments, we’re almost home.” [Y/N] replied.
“You didn’t have much of a problem back at the party in front of damn near everyone that’s ever known you. Is one driver going to make a difference?”
“FINE!” [Y/N] snapped. “Fine. I have, I give a decent blowie. Happy?”
Coriolanus smiled an uncharacteristically wide grin. The driver coughed slightly and loosened his tie. [Y/N] would have been incredibly embarrassed if she had any dignity left. Coriolanus grinned even wider at his driver’s behavior. His new favorite pass time was seeing how far he was capable of pushing [Y/N] to do whatever he wanted. So far, so good. Her initial resistance before her moment of breaking and behaving even worse than himself is what made this all the more fun.
The driver pulled up in front of the steps to their city apartment. Coriolanus gathered [Y/N]’s long forgotten shoes from the car’s floor. The driver got out to open the door for [Y/N]. Ever the gentleman publicly, Coriolanus ran around the side of the car to get it faster. He helped his fiancée out of the car. A Herculean task when you consider the alcohol in her system and the weight of all the fabric in her ballgown. “Come on, Darling,” he said, yanking her somehow elegantly towards the stairs, “we have business to attend to.”
Coriolanus helped her up the stairs and into their apartment. It was easier than it had been on the way out in those deathtrap heels he had purchased her.
Faintly, [Y/N] heard the door snap shut behind her and the deadbolt click resolutely. She leaned up against the wall. Coriolanus left her field of vision for a moment. When he re-entered her sights, [Y/N] blinked up at him. “Hi.” She said.
Coriolanus smirked at her curiously. “Hello.” He replied.
“Don’t take this the wrong way,” [Y/N] started. She took a clumsy step towards Coriolanus and grabbed the lapels of his coat for support once she could reach him. “You’re quite pretty,” she said. Coriolanus began a laugh. “No! Don’t. Don’t do that. I mean, you’re a very attractive man. You are. Too bad that you’re—“
“Don’t finish that sentence,” Coriolanus cut in with a scoff. “Here, let me help you,” he pulled her in closer. His hands moved nimbly down her back to pop open one button after the other on her dress while still allowing her to support herself against his front. For the first time, Coriolanus didn’t care that much if she wrinkled his clothes. When the majority of the buttons were undone, her dress slid down her body and landed in a large heap at her feet. What was left under the dress was [Y/N] in no bra (which Coriolanus had not expected, even under the strapless gown) and alarmingly red lace panties, stockings and garters (also unexpected). “I… Wow,” He said cooly. His eyes raked hungrily down her body. Coriolanus had never seen so much of it at once before. “Is there a bra that goes with this?”
“Mhmm,” [Y/N] nodded shyly.
“Hm, I think I would like to see it sometime. This isn’t half bad, though,” He said. He could Coriolanus’ large hands his hands slid down her chest. His hands held her breasts firmly. His eyes widen watching her nipples pebble under the touch of his thumbs. “Why’d you wear this?”
The lingerie wasn’t the most stunning set he had ever seen—it seemed more practical than anything else— though, he could fix that. Coriolanus felt the crotch of his pants tighten at the prospect, knowing that she was already into wearing such things. He was going to call for a lingerie catalog in the morning and buy all of it.
“It’s most of what I wear. I—I like it.”
“I’ll remember,” Coriolanus nodded. She was confident he would remember. She probably wouldn’t remember saying it, though.
Coriolanus stared down at their hardwood floors. He hated hardwood. It creaked too much and only looked good with an abundance of maintenance. Coriolanus wanted [Y/N] to suck him off as soon as possible and figured that she would probably be appreciative of getting it over with faster, but his mind was racing thinking about the unsightly bruises the hardwood entryway would leave on her knees.
Then the bedroom had the issue of the rug and the rugburn that would give. Further, which bedroom would they go to? Coriolanus hated that [Y/N] insisted on staying in her own room. He would have to fix that. She was clearly just as exciting as he had recalled from childhood, it had merely taken them both a moment to get to that level of vulnerability with each other. Coriolanus decided to lead [Y/N] to his bedroom. He also decided he would insist she kneel on a pillow. He hated the look of bruised knees. It reminded him of the war.
While he pulled her along, he glanced down at her. “The tears at the party, were those real?”
[Y/N] laughed in surprise at the question. “No! Well, maybe twenty percent, if that? Because once I get started, it’s hard to stop.”
“Really?” He replied, leaning her against his open doorway. “You’re sick. I’m rather impressed. That takes a lot of… What’s the word?”
“You said ruthless earlier.”
“Yes, that too, but… It’s brilliant that you can do that at the drop of a hat. Very valuable to you. Scary for me, I’m sure.”
“… Thanks. I’ve been doing it since I was little.” [Y/N] replied dryly. She had never seen Coriolanus’ bedroom before. He had seen hers. Coriolanus thought he could barge in whenever he desired. His own room was previously off limits. [Y/N] figured it wouldn’t have been off limits had she wanted to have sex with him before now.
The room was clean, neat and lacking personal items almost entirely. There was a red rug, a vase of white roses on the nightstand and a small desk for when he took his work to bed with him. The bed, specifically, was enormous. It was piled high with pillow after pillow and the softest white sheets she could imagine. It made the bed she had spent all these weeks in look like a joke.
“Yes, as I recall, you were the fucking… crybaby in school until we were fourteen. And you mean to tell me it was fake?” Coriolanus threw his least favorite pillow on the floor for [Y/N]’s knees with a hushed thump.
“I mean, yes.”
“Why?”
“I like the attention.” [Y/N] said plainly. They both knew she wouldn’t have been so open about it without the alcohol, but boy, did Coriolanus desire this version of her. He saw her in that moment, standing mostly nude in his bedroom. He saw her for the first time for what she was. She was real. [Y/N] was a real person made up of a mess of contradictions. She was a very calculating person. Coriolanus saw that ruthlessness and that icy deadness to her. That was exactly the thing he thought he could love the most about her.
“Freak. What else can you do?”
“I dunno. I just… Do what gets me ahead. Don’t we all, Coriolanus? And, uh, when I see someone I don’t like, instead of saying ‘good to see you’ when they say ‘good to see you,’ I say, ‘yes! To see you!’ And I kind of mumble so it’s not obvious that I’m incapable of saying ‘oh yeah, nice to see you.’ You know I hate pleasantries.”
“Freak,” Coriolanus repeated with a smile. “No pleasantries then, get on your knees.”
[Y/N] walked the few steps towards towards the pillow he had thrown down and sank to her knees on it. She was clumsy when she was drinking, Coriolanus thought. More often than not, she was violently ungraceful more often than not. Coriolanus had rarely seen her be graceful at all. He liked that. He thought he’d moments of clumsiness and carelessness were alluring. [Y/N] looked helpless to him sometimes and he admired that. He wanted to be the thing that held together her broken and unsure nature. He thought of all the things he might have to help her accomplish in their future shared life together.
Coriolanus could see himself reaching easily for things she could not reach in the kitchen. He could see her being unable to lace up her winter boots due to the tightness of her dress, so he would get on his knees and do it for her. If she tripped on the sidewalk, he would pull her to her feet. If [Y/N] was too drunk to get up the stairs, he would carry her. When some strange man dared to look at her the wrong way, Coriolanus would kill him. She seemed so fragile and needy to him. Coriolanus loved that.
He needed her to need him. He wanted to be the only thing she ever need.
She was to be his.
“Stop looking at me,” She said. “Let’s get this over with.”
“Wow, that kind of talk really gets me hard.” Coriolanus walked towards her, undoing his black leather belt and tossing his coat on the floor. She thought about the amount of excess he would afford her if he cared so little for his own possessions to leave them on the floor. [Y/N] thought about her own position on his floor briefly.
“We agreed no pleasantries.”
“Come on, you’re going to be mine for the rest of our lives. At least let me look at you.”
[Y/N] tipped her head down with a frustrated sigh. He stared wolfishly at her as she knelt half-bare on his floor. She couldn’t help but blush at how exposed she felt. [Y/N] felt more on display and exposed in front of one man, the man she was to marry, than she did in front of every guest at the party earlier in the night.
“Don’t look away from me,” Coriolanus said firmly. “Those eyes are too beautiful to look at the ground like that.”
She looked back up at him begrudgingly, her eyes wide with fear, or lust. She had no choice but to watch Coriolanus popped open the button of his trousers open. [Y/N] could see the imprint of his dick against his thigh. He rubbed himself through his pants for a moment. [Y/N] swallowed nervously. Coriolanus was a broad, imposing man. The size of his cock shouldn’t have been surprising, but her eyes bulged all the same.
Coriolanus pulled his cock free of his pants. Logistically, [Y/N] was officially concerned about offering the blowjob. His long cock was what her the rest of her life looked like. She would surely have to get used to it eventually.
Without hesitation, [Y/N]’s mouth fell open as he approached. Her hands instinctually gripped the back of his thighs. Coriolanus, after loosening his tie, buried his hands in her once elegantly styled hair and forced himself down her throat.
Coriolanus moaned through gritted teeth in sync with [Y/N]’s gag when she took him in. There was little chance of taking all of him down her throat at once. Unsurprisingly, Coriolanus fucked hard and fast. Brutally so. [Y/N] hardly had a chance to breathe through her nose. Fortunately, at least, Coriolanus did all the work by maneuvering her face up and down on his length. He regulated the tempo and the pressure. All [Y/N] could do was try to swallow and hollow her cheeks out as best she could. Don’t think, just follow. I’ve got you, echoed in her mind.
Tears ran down her cheeks. Real ones.
“Fuck, that’s good,” Coriolanus grunted after several moments. [Y/N] raised her tongue slightly against him. Through wet eyes, she saw Coriolanus’ eyebrows lift and his forehead crease when she did. That was effective. “[Y/N]!”
The only sounds in the room after that were gagging and heavy breathing. Coriolanus’ breathing, not [Y/N]’s. She couldn’t remember the last time she was able to breathe, it felt like. She was really blowing for her life here, she could barely catch an inhale through her nose. [Y/N] felt herself get more and more lightheaded and she did all she could to keep her eyes open.
Quickly, she tapped the back of Coriolanus’ left thigh. It was universal symbol for this isn’t great for me. Coriolanus understood this signal loud and clear. He thought he would keep going, but almost immediately decided he would rather have a wife in one piece instead of a perfect blowjob and slowed his pace significantly. Like a good husband.
He got gratification from slowing down too, because he could see the relieved and grateful gleam in [Y/N]’s expression. Coriolanus had gifted her that relief. He was getting close.
“Swallow.” He choked out. [Y/N] turned her eyes up at him again to confirm his request. Coriolanus’ eyes were tightly shut. [Y/N] had no idea if this had been minutes or near an hour. Her jaw ached. She felt his cock twitch against her tongue as she sucked.
That was the last clear memory [Y/N] had that night. The build up of the alcohol that had been genetically modified to be strong enough to get one drunk faster, the stress, the sweat, the tears, the blowjob, the lightheadedness, the dancing, the fear and the anger all happening on one night culminated into a good old fashion liquor blackout.
She had brief flickers of memory instead of a picture of the night. She was unsure if Coriolanus had finished or not. [Y/N] vaguely remembered Coriolanus unhooking her garters and taking off her stockings. She could feel the clean sheet and duvet over her exhausted body. She swore she could recall Coriolanus’ arm over her her waist and his lips against her ear whispering something. If only she could remember what he said.
The next morning, [Y/N] woke up to the birds and the traffic noise. All of it sounded world-shatteringly loud. She felt sick to her stomach. What was that dreadful taste in her mouth? Her head pounded. Too much posca at her engagement party. Desperately, she wanted a cup of coffee. [Y/N] groped at the covers to drag them over her face to block out the morning light that filtered through the window.
Hold on.
As she pulled the covers over her head, [Y/N] realized these covers did not smell like her. They smelled of roses. That, and something else more metallic that lingered under the palatable rose smell. Coriolanus smelled like that. Coriolanus’ bed.
Buried in the comfortable duvet, she couldn’t bear to crawl out from under it. She was filled with panic. How had she ended up here? She could feel that Coriolanus wasn’t beside her, so where had he ended up? Had they slept together?
Had they slept together?
The phrase and all of its meanings bounced around in her head. Her hand slid down her body. She had no top on. That was a bad sign. Her hand continued further down her body and landed on lace underwear. She exhaled and let her hand flop back down on the bed. From another room, probably the living room, [Y/N] heard the phone ring. She wished it would stop. [Y/N] rose from bed with some difficulty.
It was clear upon standing up that the only thing that would make her feel better was vomiting. She dashed madly for Coriolanus’ en suite bathroom and knelt in front of the toilet, empty the contents of her stomach for a good couple of minutes. The pressure of her headache decreased afterwards, but the terrible taste in her mouth grew. [Y/N] flushed the toilet and stood in front of the mirror. She had never looked this bad in her life.
Dark ringed eyes, leaking leftover makeup and smeared lipstick, a bold hickey on her neck like a seventeen year old. What had she done?
[Y/N] grabbed Coriolanus’ burgundy robe off the back of his bathroom door and cinched it around her waist. She walked back through his bedroom. Her knees burned a bit with each step. Maybe from the heels she had worn the night before. Her eyes landed on the flat pillow on the floor right next to Coriolanus’ belt. This seemed like a bad omen.
Suspiciously, [Y/N] walked into the too bright hallway light. [Y/N] stumbled to her own bathroom and frantically brushed her teeth before facing Coriolanus. It hurt to hold her jaw open to brush her molars, but anything to rid herself of the salty, stale taste that had taken up residence. Finally then, she moved into the living room.
There was Coriolanus smiling on the couch like he was most mornings after some sort of party. His hair lacked product and lay rich and curly against his forehead. Boxer shorts and an open dress shirt with the sleeves pushed up left little up to the imagination about his body. He was so pale that he practically reflected the sunlight from the open window back at her like a mirror. Coriolanus was perfect, even first thing. How annoying.
“What time is it?” [Y/N] croaked hoarsely. Coriolanus nearly knocked his mug of bitter coffee off the end table in surprise as he reached for the remote. He abruptly clicked off the television.
“Eleven. There about,” Coriolanus replied, vocally calmer than his body would betray. He rose from the mauve couch and moved to [Y/N]. He ran his hand down the sleeve of his robe that she wore. “Is this mine?” He asked softly.
“Yes, sorry. It was all I could find. I’ll go swap it for—“
“Please. What is mine, is yours,” Coriolanus interrupted. “It suits you,” he said with a hand running across his own gold CSB monogram on the breast pocket of the robe she wore. “How did you sleep?”
“Fine, I suppose,” but what she really wanted to say was ‘what did we do last night?’ “And you?”
Coriolanus chanced an animalistic smile. “Last night, you said no more pleasantries.”
[Y/N] scanned her brain for a memory of saying that. She did not remember that phrase specifically, but she did catch a lot more glimpses of her night in her mind’s eye. [Y/N]’s strongest images were her mother’s shocked eyes, the empty glasses of posca, Coriolanus with a red handprint on his cheek, and his hard cock at her eye level.
“Coriolanus, what did I do?” [Y/N] asked, realizing exactly what she had done.
“Which part?” Coriolanus asked cautiously, sliding his hands around her waist and pulling her close. Coriolanus wanted her to feel held and ravished for a moment since he knew she would go ballistic at what was on the TV, in the newspaper, and on the lips of everyone in town. She felt like a still from an old moving picture; being held like that.
“How bad?”
“Hm? Oh, your mouth was lovely—“ he tried to expertly redirect with an innuendo.
That assumption of what they had done had been correct. Damn. “No, shut up, stop. The… The TV, the news, the—“
“Do you want to know?”
[Y/N] felt like deflating. It must have been bad. She thought back to how he had turned off the television so fast when she walked in. “I… Will I like what I see?”
“How about we sit down, Darling?”
Coriolanus sat [Y/N] down gently on the middle cushion of the couch and folded his lanky legs into the seat to her right. She looked worried. Coriolanus hated watching other people worry, it was distracting for him and often created too many new problems. He swallowed down the urge to snap at her for pouting like that. He hated pouting too considering how unproductive it was. The blonde man reached his right hand out and used a pointer finger and thumb to tip [Y/N]’s chin up so she was forced to look him in the eye. “Hey,” he said calmly. “Any press is good press.” Coriolanus repeated their mantra from the night prior.
[Y/N] inhaled through her nose. “Any press is good press.” She agreed. Coriolanus nodded and pressed a dutiful kiss to her temple to praise her for that answer. [Y/N] stared at the dark and glassy TV screen. Coriolanus clicked it on.
A fuchsia haired newswoman sat behind a desk with the regular Capitol News studio set up for an morning gossip show. The headline was plastered on a chiron in the lower third of the screen: ‘SNOW HEIR’S GIRL OUT OF CONTROL.’ In the top right hand corner of the frame was a photo of [Y/N] sobbing on her knees in front of Coriolanus’ who wiped her tears. [Y/N] wasn’t able to listen to the grating anchorwoman who was speculating about whether or not Coriolanus should send [Y/N] to rehab.
Coriolanus watched [Y/N] watch herself on TV. He grew uncomfortable when he couldn’t automatically read her expression. He had prepared himself for some tears and a temper tantrum, but neither came.
“What are you thinking about?” Coriolanus asked her. [Y/N] was too still. She didn’t respond quickly. “[Y/N]?” Coriolanus nudged her with his elbow. “What are you thinking about?”
“The headline.” She finally replied.
Coriolanus bit his bottom lip. He kept his voice as level as she had. “Okay. What about the headline?” He asked.
“Well, it isn’t very good, is it?”
“What?”
“It’s too plain.”
Coriolanus narrowed his eyes. “It’s too plain?”
[Y/N] nodded slowly. She finally ripped her eyes away from the television set and looked up at him. “It’s informative, but it’s not eye catching beyond being alarmist,” She replied. [Y/N] pointed at the TV, smiling. “That’s my picture. That’s us up there, Coryo, and that’s the best headline they could come up with? It’s weak.”
Coriolanus couldn’t recall her calling him Coryo before, even when [Y/N] had heard it from friends, family and classmates. She was saying something. He should have been paying better attention, but [Y/N] looked lovely wearing his robe. “Coryo, are you listening to me?”
He wasn’t. Too bad. Coryo. “I got distracted, I’m sorry, Darling. You were saying?”
“I said, please get me a piece of paper and a pencil. I want to work on something better and call in a suggestion for a correction since obviously—Mmph!“
[Y/N] sentence was never finished. Coriolanus leaned in towards her face and slammed his lips against hers hungrily. Habitually, [Y/N] grabbed his biceps as they toppled flat back onto the couch. Coriolanus wasted little time pressing the tip of his tongue against her lips aggressively. He knew he gave into an open-mouthed makeout too easily, but it was so much fun.
Both pulled back after some time for a breath. “Coriolanus…” [Y/N] panted.
“Coryo, please. Nobody calls me that anymore.” He said, staring down at her.
“Coryo, I want a pencil and a piece of paper.”
“You’re crazy. You want to call in a correction on a story about yourself because you want to make it worse. You’re beautiful. I don’t tell you that enough.”
“Then tell me some more after you get me—“
“Not yet,” Coriolanus said. His hands untied her robe like she was a gift box. The best present to come out of this engagement party, certainly. “[Y/N], do you know what you did last night?”
“A few things, at least.”
“Very funny. I mean…” Coriolanus sighed. His hormones raced. He could barely make eye contact with her since his eyes were drawn elsewhere. “I mean, you bulldozed your whole life. You Thirteen’d your life off the map.” he said. She nodded. She shivered at the reality of his statement. [Y/N] had nothing left but ashes. She had burned almost every bridge she had.
Except him.
“Not the part with you,” [Y/N] said. She smiled. She said it to please Coriolanus and it seemed to work. He was much easier to play than she thought he was. “You’re all I’ve got left, Coryo.” That was absolutely true. For better or worse, Coriolanus was inevitable.
“Let me take care of you,” Coriolanus said. “You’re about to be my wife. There’s no one else you need. You’re mine. I’m not going to let you fall through the cracks.” He said.
“Promise you won’t?”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Coriolanus said honestly, but he didn’t feel strongly enough to really promise. “Do you like these panties?”
“Yes.”
“Shame. I’ll buy you a new set.” There was a horrible tearing sound and after that, Coriolanus’ mouth was on [Y/N]’s pussy. He licked and sucked for all he was worth.
[Y/N] did not expect Coriolanus to be good at this. All this time, she had disallowed him from touching her because she thought he would be a selfish lover. There was still potential that he was, but fuck, Coriolanus sure was good for this. His long thin nose bumped her clit as he pressed his tongue deeper into her folds and she moaned. Her hands sank into his curls.
“Don’t touch my hair.” Coriolanus said into her cunt.
“No,” She said, pulling on his hair. Coriolanus was irked, but let her do it anyway. He had never felt pleasure from someone tugging his hair like that before. [Y/N] wrapped her legs around his shoulders. Coriolanus used his strong, callused hands to hold her thighs open. He was going to make her cum with only his greedy mouth, like she had for him last night.
Quid pro quo. That was the nature of their whole operation, Coriolanus realized. It was fine by him.
It was still early and Coriolanus had the day off. He was ready to make up for lost time. He was going to make her cum in every room of their home. Coriolanus was addicted to her taste. He was addicted to her mind. All of this felt cloaked in danger; it was too personal for Coriolanus. Oh well.
By day’s end, [Y/N] wouldn’t be able to climb out of bed for a couple of days on her own. Coriolanus’ constant tongue-fucking pulling orgasms from her had turned her brain to mush, but not before she was able to force Coriolanus off and jot down a few headlines of her own while he marked up her neck.
‘GAMEMAKER’S FIANCÉE: FREAK OR FOOL?’
‘CAPITOL’S GOLDEN BOY FALLS FOR BAD GIRL.’
‘ALLEGED CHEATING SCANDAL SHAKES CAPITOL YOUTH.’
‘GAMEMAKER WALKS OUT THE VICTOR AFTER PARTY DISASTER.’
‘’WEDDING IS OFF’ SPECULATES PLINTH FAMILY.’
‘GAMEMAKER’S FIANCÉE LIES, CHEATS AND STEALS THE NIGHT.’
‘SNOW’S FALLING (STANDARDS).’
Half of her ideas dripped as moans while Coriolanus worked on her pussy. She was weak enough to do little more than pull his hair and try to clench around whatever he pushed into her. [Y/N]’s orgasm-addled mind finally comprehended that Coriolanus made her better. He made her more creative, bolder, and free from every burden except him. Finally, willingly, [Y/N] gave Coriolanus the last thing she had to give: Herself.
It felt fucking incredible

His Scarred Omega Part 1
Alpha!Bucky really put me in a chokehold the past couple of days. I wasn't even trying to write his story just yet. Was actually trying write a one-shot that would happen after the main story, but yeah, he quite changed my mind and this feverish, 7-part story came to be in two days.
This is set in the same universe as Their Sweet Omega (aka It Takes All Packs to Make It Work). You don't really have to read that story first, which features Alpha!Jake Jensen with Beta!Pre-serum Steve Rogers and their Omega!Reader, but I would love it so much if you did. They hold my heart as much as Bucky does.
Tumblr media
Relationship: Alpha!Bucky Barnes x Omega!Reader
Word Count: 1450
Summary: While helping out his friends, Bucky makes a shocking discovery. He's got a daughter he never knew existed.
Warnings: not much in this part beyond one shell-shocked Bucky
A/N: I wrote this story really fast as I mentioned above. It’s proofread but all mistakes are my own.
I also do not give permission for my work to be copied or posted on other sites or fed into an AI machine.

Bucky is a weak man.
He really is.
All it takes a pretty face making those awful puppy eyes at him, and he’s putty in Angel’s hands.
She doesn’t play fair, either, enlisting Steve’s equally effective puppy-dog eyes.
Bucky kowtows in less than five seconds though he’ll forever say it took more than that to get him to agree to help them.
Spooky Season is right around the corner.
Angel and Steve feel bad for telling Jake he can’t buy any more big decorations for their home. It’s already overflowing as it is, but they do know he’s been eyeing a couple of pieces. He really is the best Alpha for them as Jake’s constantly doting on them and taking such good care of them.
One of said pieces is what Angel and Steve have wrangled Bucky into this whole mess.
They drag him to the store to pick up said piece, needing his Alpha strength and build since the piece weighs more than the two of them combined plus some. No way they can get it home, let alone carry it into their home. Delivery isn’t an option, either, without paying triple what the item costs.
So, he’s there and eyeing the piece with them.
A few grumbles come out under his breath. “I’m holding you to your promise, Angel.”
Angel simply smiles at him, knowing she still has his help and nods. “I haven’t forgotten. Name the date, and I’ll be there. We’ll take down that ogre boss together.”
“Your truck will hold this, won’t it, Buck?” Steve can’t help asking, seeing the piece himself and having his own doubts about this plan he and Angel came up with for Jake.
Bucky eyes the box holding the piece for another few moments before he finally nods. “It’ll be a tight fit, but I’ll make it work.”
With that, the trio begin working on pulling the giant statue from the low shelf and onto the flatbed cart they snagged from an employee.
With that successfully done, Angel quickly grabs up a spare ticket for the cashier to scan since the barcode is poorly placed on the bottom of the box. Not something they’re going to want to deal with and slow down the few lanes open at this time of day.
“I’ll go ahead and pay for it if you two want to start making your way to the truck,” Steve says, taking the ticket from Angel and rushing off before she can think to argue.
Bucky bites back a smile when he sees and hears Angel huff at Steve’s retreating back.
“The punk is gone, Angel,” he says.
“He promised we’d split this gift.” Angel turns back to Bucky with a look he’s come to understand all too well in the almost two years he’s known her now. He does his best to brace himself as she grabs the front of the flatbed cart. “Time to do some extra shopping, I guess. If I can’t use my money on Jake, then I’m going to use it on Stevie.”
Shaking his head, Bucky knows better than to try and dissuade her at this point. “How are you going to hide this gift from him when he’s with us?”
Rather than answer, Angel just gives him a mischievous look that has him bracing for whatever he’s about to witness.
He can’t help wondering how Jake handles these two most days as Angel drags him towards the art supply aisles of the store. A basket somehow ends up in the crook of her arm where she’s already tossing several items within it. How that happened, he can and will never be able to explain.
Within five minutes, she has the basket overflowing with supplies.
Bucky can make out a lot of the brands that Steve really likes, including some of the more expensive items that Steve only splurges occasionally to get himself.
When Angel is satisfied with her overflowing basket, she grabs hold of the flatbed and helps him maneuver toward the front of the store again.
Seeing the satisfied grin on her face, Bucky can’t help wondering if he’ll ever find someone who wants to spoil him as much as Angel, Steve, and Jake spoil each other. That’s the kind of love Bucky wants, but he’s not sure it’ll ever be in the cards for him.
It’s on their way back that they overhear a young girl, probably no older than 8 or 9 as she whined about one of the latest costume trends. “All the girls are going as Harley Quinn this year, Auntie. Please? Please?”
The woman’s voice niggles at Bucky as he overhears the woman say, “You can go as a butterfly or a witch, but I draw the line at Harley, Gracie. We can talk about Harley when you’re older.”
“Mama would’ve let me go as Harley,” the young girl named Gracie grouses back. “I wish she was here instead of you.”
Bucky isn’t sure why or how it’s possible, but it’s like he can feel the disappointment and sadness of the woman at the young girl’s words. No doubt the woman is an Omega, but he’s never had such a reaction to someone like this before. He briefly wonders if Jake has had this reaction with either Angel or Steve before. A mental note is made to ask Jake later about it.
When they round the corner, Bucky gets his first glimpse of the Omega and the young girl named Gracie.
He forgets how to breathe as he takes in the familiar features of a woman he never thought to see again. A woman who’d been little more than a young lady when he last saw her.
Has it really been almost ten years since he’s seen her?
Yet, it’s not the Omega from his past that captures his focus as much as Gracie does.
The little girl’s appearance is enough to send Bucky to his knees.
It’s not possible.
It can’t be.
Yet, there’s no denying this Gracie looks just like him. The same dark hair. The same crystal blue eyes. Even her nose and mouth match his as they pout up at her aunt.
“You okay, Buck?” Angel asks, her gaze going between him and the Omega with the little girl. “Bucky?”
Her questions don’t go unnoticed, either, as the Omega turns her attention to them. Her eyes widen and her lip instantly goes between her teeth. A gesture that Bucky recalls she does when she’s feeling guilty about something.
No one speaks for another full minute.
At least, not until Steve happens upon them and sees the Omega.
“Sapphire, is that really you?” Steve asks before his gaze drops to the little girl.
Bucky knows he’d be laughing at Steve’s comically shocked expression if he could just get the ability to breathe and function back into his own body.
“Who is this?” Steve finally asks with a soft smile at the little girl. He holds out his hand to the little girl and introduces himself.
“I’m Gracie.”
She adds her last name as she takes Steve’s hand.
Steve’s gaze bounces between Gracie and Bucky. It’s clear he’s coming to the same conclusions Bucky already has made at seeing the little girl.
Gracie is his kid, and Dot is her mother.
Dot, the woman who broke his heart all those years ago with a Dear John letter. The same woman who has given birth to his child and never bothered to tell him.
“So, I think we need to talk,” her aunt says, her gaze never leaving Bucky.
Bucky nods, drawing on his inner alpha to help him regain control of himself.
“Yeah, we do.”
He wants answers, and he’s going to make sure he gets them one way or another.
“Tomorrow at noon?” her aunt asks, naming a quiet café not too far from the store.
Bucky nods again, then turns his attention to Gracie.
A small smile grows on his features as she’s lost interest in Steve and has turned her attention to him. Her eyes study him in a way that he knows he’s done with others throughout his life. She’s taking note of everything about him, and he can only hope he doesn’t end up disappointing her.
Whatever doubts he might have, they disappear the longer he and Gracie measure each other.
She’s his.
When she holds out her little hand to him, he has to swallow the emotions clogging his throat as she introduces herself. It takes him a few tries before he can tell her his name in return.
Now, he has to make sure he doesn’t lose any more time than he’s already lost with her.

Scenario!
"Brother in Falling" Pt.2
Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You stared at him as he spoke. It had been so long since you’d seen Lucifer. Matter of fact, you’d far forgotten what he was like. You didn’t really interact with him much during his time in Hevaen and it had been years since Heaven banished him. He seemed so… gentle. This was the “bringer of evil” that Heaven so warned you about. Drinking coffee, talking about his daughter and how he wanted to be more involved in her life. You felt lied to by heaven. He was just a guy, a nice one at that.
“What about you, you got anyone? Or had…?” He asked, hoping he wasn’t picking a any unhealed scars.
“Me? Well… I had a couple of friends, sir. But they turned their heads to me when I fell.” You replied, taking a sip from the coffee he’d made you. It was quite good if you said so yourself.
“Oh, you don’t have to call me that. I’m not really your sir… But uh… What did you do when you were in heaven?” He spoke, curiously posing query.
“I was just a measly guard at the court… Nothing too important… But you… you were The Moring Star! I mean, I owe you that respect. You were once God’s favorite.” You replied.
“Well, what can I say? I did what I could! Guess they thought I was too revolutionary for them, but joke’s on them! I’m not doing half as bad! Haha!” He laughed, somehow giving off the vibe that he was forcing himself to feel this way.
“They wasted your talent. You’re a great person, Lucifer.” You spoke sincerely.
“T-thank you… I… I haven’t heard that in some time…” He chuckled, oddly proud to have received that compliment.
“No problem!” You smiled softly.
“H-hey uh, I know I mentioned presenting you to my daughter, Charlie. But, There’s protocol in place in acase of another fallen angel. It’s just been… eons since someone else has fallen… I know I’m technically The Only One, but I was an archangel, they just undermined the six the followed me down here.” He explained, huffing at the end.
“Protocol? What do you mean by that?” You asked, lifting your guard just a little bit.
“Well, Uh… techinchally when a new angel falls, we need to hold a meeting because you’re uhh… a new powerful force in Hell. Even more than any naturally occurring being in any of the Seven Rings. We didn’t do it with Vaggie, because she was an exterminator, and they’re sort of at the bottom of the chain. When I found out she was a fallen angel, I just advised her not to point the weapon at everyone that crosses her path. Not like she actually stopped doing it, but eh, bureaucracy. Regardless, you’re a first choir angel, an uhh…” He stared at your form for a moment scanning for any sign on of what class you belonged to. Unable to tell, he blushes in embarrassment, feeling that he came off as weird for staring at you. “Sorry, uh, what class are you?” He asked, looking away in embarrassment.
“A Throne. I’m a throne… Or was…” You replied in a mumble.
“No no, it’s ok. You don’t have to deny it if you don’t want to. You can be whatever you want, I’m sure not gonna tell you anything, and I’m sure not gonna let anyone tell you anything.” He chuckled. “But yeah, You’ll find some of us have rejected or kept our respective titles as we’ve pleased. I mean, shit, I may not be in heaven, but I’m still a Seraph!” He laughed, giving you a sympathetic smile.
“Thank you, Lucifer.” You replied. You were already more welcome here than anywhere else in Heaven. It warmed your heart that you were somewhere where with beigs who appreciated you.
“Either way, you’re a Throne and that might throw off the power balance Hell has, considering that unlike sinners, you can go wherever you want in Hell and, shit… you’re more powerful than some of the Sins… But that’s besides the point! The point is, there’s a bureaucracy I have to follow when it comes to this. It’s just a brief meeting about uh… what was it again…? Uhh… well, your place in Hell and the denizens of your area… oh but all the rings are… full uh… welp! That’s what the meeting’s for! Just to uh, determine your place in the hierarchy.” Lucifer explained, giving you a weak smile. He wasn’t too sure in himself, and you could tell. Seemed like he was going through a rough patch.
“Right… uh… but hierarchy? I don’t… well, I’d be lying if I sad I didn’t wanna, but I don’t think I’m uh… suited to just be put into a leadership position in a hierarchy that has existed for eons and eons. Are you sure about this…?” You asked, clutching your coffee mug.
“Well, the meeting is to figure all of that out! You should bring that up when it happens.” He explained. “Excuse me, I have to make a couple of phone calls…” He added, letting out a small chuckle, getting up from the chair that he sat in. He walked off to a corner; you could hear all of his conversation anyway, but at least he made the effort to politely move to the side.
“Hey! Mammon! So, I’ve got some news! A new angel fell! Uh… We need to hold a meeting and- Yeah know your time is money, but unless you want me to really make you pay taxes as you should be doing, you’re gonna make this government work!… Yeah, Good to know you’re coming, I’ll text you the schedule when I get everyone on board. Yeah, bye to you too.” He sighed, hanging up, and dialing another number.
“Satan! Hey, so uh, I have some crazy news. A new angel fell, and we need a meeting as soon as possible. You’re busy? You missed the annual meeting earlier this year, you’re not missing out on this one! It’s an emergency, don’t make me threaten you like I did Mammon a minute ago…. No I’m not telling you which of the three Choirs they belonged to until we set foot in that meeting room…Good, I’ll get you the schedule when I have it. Yeah, yeah, you grumpy bastart.” He sighed.
You stared at him in confusion despite knowing exactly what he was doing. You knew he was invoking the other 7 Sins to the meeting. You simply sat there uncomfortably, sort of fidgeting with the mug. He noticed this, and before dialing, he walked towards you, giving you a gentle smile.
“Hey… It’s ok. If you think you’re being a burden, you’re not. This is a grand occasion! Charlie, went and stirred up Heaven. You being here is a victory for a new and better world!” He reassured you, continuing the dialing of the next phone call.
“Hey! Ozzie! Yeah, I know I rarely call you anymore, but guess what?” He began.
You couldn’t help but wonder what everyone else had become. You’d seen these seven virtuous angels fall and become the Seven Sins. Of course, they were all driven by their own desire to pursue their respective sins, but it seemed Lucifer’s pride was more on his work. He didn’t seem to have bad intentions either way…
“Yeah yeah, thanks Ozzie, you’re great! Bye!” Lucifer smiled as he hung up. “He’s the only one who never misses out on meetings. The real problem is getting Beelphegor to attend… He is the sin of Sloth…” He joked at you, looking for the next number to dial.
You continued to drink your coffee thinking of what was to come. When Lucifer was done with all the phone calls, he turned to you. “So, I haven’t given them a meeting time, but I’d rather give you some time to adjust. Uhh, in two days sounds fine?” He asked, ready to put it in his calendar.
“Oh, uh, s-sure…” You replied, brushing the feathers on your wings. Wincing at the broken appendages.
Lucifer gave you a slight look, frowning at the sight of your small show of pain. “Hey, if you wanna, I can take you to the hotel now. You need some rest…” He suggested, putting his phone in his pocket.
You nodded gently, “You must be annoyed with me saying thank you, but… You’ve been nothing but kind to me since I got here… And I… put a hole through your roof…” You sighed, pouting in a bit of frustration towards yourself.
“I already said you’re not a burden… Plus, us fallen angels have to look after each other.” He smiled.
It wasn’t long until you two arrived at the hotel. He refused to fly and show himself publicly (not to mention you couldn’t fly anyway.), so the limo it was. The car ride was full of chit-chat between the both of you. A warm feeling overwhelmed you as you spoke to him. You hadn’t spoken to someone this genuine in a long time. Perhaps being sent here was the best thing that happened to you…

“You what?” The man on the other line cackled in Eddie’s ear. “Ro- Robin! No, you gotta come here! Eddie called some chick a ‘good girl’. He totally scared her off, it’s hilarious.”
“Thank you, Harrington, you’re really helping me in my time of need,” Eddie seethed as he laid in bed. He heard some shuffling and then a familiar feminine voice sounded from the telephone.
“‘Good girl’? What is she? A dog?”
Eddie ran his hands over his face, jostling his bangs away from his forehead before suddenly jerking them away in gestures they couldn’t even see as he let out a bitter laugh.
“Why did I even call you two? I’m regretting so many choices today.”
“So, she didn’t like it?” Steve asked as Robin complained about him crowding the phone.
“Go use the one in the living room— no— stop-”
“This is my room. You go use the living room phone.”
“Ugh, you’re breathing on me, dingus!”
Eddie rolled his eyes over the typical bickering, choosing to focus on the question that actually had to do with their conversation.
“Uh — well — she got all freaked out and everything was awkward. When she was leaving, I was going to open the door for her and she thought I was going to hug her— I-I, ugh, it was horrible. So uhh… yeah, I’d say no. She didn’t like it… at… all.”
“You have zero game, man,” Steve chided after a beat of silence that had forced Eddie to sit with his shame.
“And neither do you.” Robin argued, finally waving him out of his own room. “Don’t listen to him, Eddie, he’s an idiot.”
“Thanks, Robin…,” he muttered even if it didn’t make him feel much better.
“You’re an idiot too, just so we’re clear,” she added, and he nodded despite the fact that — once again — she couldn’t even see him. “I can’t believe you called her a good girl.”
“Okay, how many times are we going to repeat it before I blow my brains out?” Eddie deflated with a distressed laugh, clasping his hands together. He heard another line pick up.
“What’d I miss?”
“Eddie wants to die.”
“I do not blame you, man. You know it’s never too late to come here in Indianapolis. Maybe even change your identity,” Steve suggested as he leaned up against the wall by his other phone, which he had nestled between his ear and his shoulder just like Eddie did.
“Yeah, cause I could afford living in the city,” he snickered mostly to himself before sighing as he ran his hands over his face again.
“Who is she anyway?” Robin wondered.
“She’s his weird, secret friend he’s kept from us,” Steve replied in a mutter.
“No, I- she’s not a secret and she’s not weird,” Eddie huffs. “She’s just… she hasn’t been around in a while. She’s a friend from before I moved in with Wayne.”
“Oh… oh,” Robin’s interest piqued again. “So, she’s like… a best-best friend?”
“He totally wants to nail her,” Steve tacked on, and Eddie found himself groaning as he sunk further into his bed, wishing it would swallow him whole.
“I don’t wan — will you quit it? Yes, we were very close.”
“And she just happened to show up out of nowhere. I’m telling you, Ed, she wants you. You should go for it. You haven’t been laid since Chrissy…,” Steve muttered that last comment, and Robin squeezed her eyes shut as she facepalmed.
“Or she could just need a friend…?” Robin countered, her voice weakly lilting upwards as she corrected him. She just hoped the Chrissy comment wouldn’t be enough to make Eddie draw back into himself.
“She knew you when you were kids. I’m sure you were just as weird as a little child Eddie, so I doubt she was all that fazed by you calling her uh… the thing you called her.”
“Maybe…,” Eddie muttered, picking at his nails and biting at them.
He was tired. That tea really did help, even if his exhaustion was put on hold by an absurd amount of embarrassment and anxiety. He could feel himself settling again, his eyelids getting heavier.
“I should go.”
Robin squeezed her eyes shut again and mentally chastised Steve for bringing up Chrissy so carelessly.
“Call us again. Okay, weirdo? To update us?” Robin urged, feeling a surge of protective instinct.
He was never around anymore, never called; and there was always this anxiety in the back of her mind that he wasn’t letting them know if things were getting too hard for him. Neither Steve nor she could figure out when they could check in on him because he never bothered to share his schedule with them. And when they did call it was incredibly rare for him to pick up. She couldn’t blame him for wanting to shut everyone out, but it only made her worry about what was going on with him.
“I don’t wanna bother you guys. I know you’re busy with city life,” Eddie teased with a playful theatricality to his tone, but his voice was soft with that creeping exhaustion.
“Nah, you know you can call whenever,” Steve replied, taking a break from his incessant joking to let some of his sincerity come through. “Plus, I gotta hear more about this secret girl.”
“Not a secret,” Eddie corrected, his eyes closing to soothe his urge to drift off, one brow raising lazily with his words.
“Just call, okay? Or we’ll keep bugging you until you update us,” Robin urged, a sing-song tone coming to her voice.
“Fine,” Eddie snickered, and this time he was actually able to get a goodbye in and sloppily slam his phone back down before knocking out.
There was only crackling now on the line between the two roommates.
“I worry about him,” Robin spoke up suddenly, just loud enough for Steve to catch her concerned voice.
“I know,” Steve sighed, placing the phone back onto the wall. “I do too.”
*
You had no intentions of ignoring Eddie after that night in his trailer, not explicitly anyways. You were still thinking about him constantly, but any pleasant thoughts were immediately invaded by embarrassment. It felt like you were experiencing it all over again and the accompanying swirl to your gut was overwhelming.
The reality of the next couple of Eddie-less days was that you were too engrossed in the aftereffects of that awkward exchange to reach out first, not to mention most of your attention going to your first job here in Hawkins. Despite your nerves, you did surprisingly well on Thursday and Friday night. Enough to get a small smile to bristle Ron’s bearded face and a mutter about maybe needing to get a new name tag ready. You were unbelievably cheery over the praise and acceptance, but you still had one more test to pass: weekend shifts. Those were their busiest, especially Saturday nights. If you make it from 4 o’clock to midnight with no major screw ups then you had the job. He promised.
So yes, you were actively avoiding being the first one to call, but to be fair you were also trying to attend to other aspects of your new life in Hawkins. Your focus was being diverted to getting this job, and spending time with Martha. You were distracted by moments of promising renewal in anticipation of the growing presence of Autumn — despite the crushing embarrassment of the other night.
That didn’t mean you weren’t thinking of him, though. If you weren’t shaking off the recent memory of Wednesday night, then you were indulging in the recent memory of Wednesday night. Him having you over; you making him tea; feeling close to him again as you exchanged stories — laughing together and smiling so hard the muscles in your cheeks hurt a little. The kind of pure smile you only got when you were with Eddie.
You thought about him as you styled your hair in a manner that helped to boost your confidence but wouldn’t get in your way during your shift. You couldn’t believe he had his own place, no matter how “shitty” he said it was. You couldn’t believe he was a tattooed mechanic and had hair. That was the real kicker for you. He didn’t have it shaved so close that he felt like a peach when you patted at the top of his head just to get on his nerves.
He had those long spirals that you wanted to reach across his small kitchen counter and swirl around your finger. Those curls inspired a habit of tilting his head to let his big brown eyes hide under his messy bangs; or sometimes he toyed with his curls to pull a chunk of it in front of his face. It was fascinating to see the way his features and behaviors have adapted to adulthood. Back home he was harassed daily for his “feminine” features, so the fluttery lashes and full lips were nothing new. But now he had grown into his generous mouth and his doe eyes, and so much of his youthful softness had made way for sharp definition — particularly in his jawline and cheekbones. He’s actually grown into the kind of person that intimidated you even if he was just Eddie. He made your palms sweat and had you thinking over every little thing you said. Y’know, things like Loo-ddie. You tried to reassure yourself that you only had nerves because you wanted to have him as a best friend again so badly, but some self-aware part of you knew the signs of an impending crush. Why couldn’t you have some self-control? Why did you have to gush over just about every man who showed you an ounce of kindness?
You wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but you even had brief heart eyes for Ron after seeing how sweet he was with Sandy. It made you yearn for what they had, and you recognized it was more about wanting such a wholesome relationship of your own than wanting someone twice your age, but you still felt ashamed about it. What’s wrong with you? You needed to let bosses stay bosses, and you needed to let best friends stay best friends. You needed Eddie to be a friend, you needed to keep those boundaries in place so you couldn’t ruin everything like always. He’s special, and you can’t just throw yourself at him and offer to give him whatever he wants just so you could feel like his everything — even if it’s only for a few minutes.
You glance at your hands now and fight the urge to chip away at your freshly painted nails to appease your low spirits. You sit with these thoughts for a moment, swallowing moisture back into your throat that felt too tight; then you forced yourself away from the cramped motel bathroom to finish getting ready for your shift. You couldn’t let yourself slip up and distract yourself with your own misery — it was Saturday, and this was your final step towards success. A measly success of a server job at a small-town bar, but you had to put a positive spin on it.
You couldn’t focus on self-loathing, and you couldn’t focus on Eddie.
*
“A new girl?” Eddie groaned as he rolled his sleeves up to the bends of his elbows. “The last time we had a new person I had to watch him every fucking second cause he had no clue what he was doing — shit, he even stole from you, didn’t he?”
“Yes,” Ron muttered bitterly, never happy about the reminder that someone had been sneaking cash out from under his nose. “She’s pretty good though. Real sweet and does her job.”
“I dunno… do we really need the help?”
“Kevin is back at school. We really need the help,” Ron chuckled, but felt a pang of sadness right to his chest knowing his youngest was back at college — or even in college in the first place — all the same. “Don’t be so sour. She’s a good kid.”
Eddie grumbled irritably but didn’t pester him any further. It was no use anyways. If Ron set his mind on something, then he wasn’t letting up. Sure, it made sense considering it’s his business, but he’s also stubborn as a bull and that quality had a history of surpassing logic sometimes.
About a quarter to four, Eddie was in the back when the bell rang.
“Well look at you, all nice and early again. You suckin’ up?” he heard Ron asking playfully, and Eddie rolled his eyes.
Great. A suck-up.
Just what he needed. Some goody two-shoes setting a new standard that he wouldn’t meet. He was lucky if he was on time in the first place with how much he slept in on the weekends, but Ron was always cutting him slack. Jus’ a small-town bar he’d say whenever Eddie scrambled into the building with an apology already slipping out at an incoherent pace.
He couldn’t hear the new girl’s reply, assuming it had been a nonverbal one rather than one so delicate and quiet that even Ron barely heard it before the novice made her way to the back.
“Hi, I don’t think we’ve worked together yet and I just… wanted… to… Loogie…?”
At the sound of your voice, Eddie was already turning around from where he was opening the recent delivery. His perception of the moment seemed to have been placed in slow motion and suddenly he was heating up with flashbacks of Wednesday night. Called her a good girl, no joke, called her a good girl his mind droned on repeat just to torture him.
“Wha — hey,” he laughed casually and thankfully avoided choking on his own spit. He swallowed thickly and his brow furrowed as his voice came out painfully hoarse. “You’re the new girl?”
“Guess so. If I do well tonight,” you murmured with a small smile, toying with your hands.
You had painted your fingernails a rich burgundy, and his eyes zeroed in on the small strokes of color before looking up at you again.
“I’m sure you’ll be okay, Ron seems really impressed with you…” Eddie offered with a light laugh after clearing his throat, suddenly feeling sheepish around you again.
“Don’t go tellin’ her that! I don’t want her thinking she doesn’t have to work hard tonight!” Ron shouted from the front, pulling a snicker out of you.
You swiftly place your purse on a hook before continuing the conversation. Even if it wasn’t the end of the world if Ron heard your conversation, you took a few steps closer to Eddie and lowered your voice a touch.
“So… did the tea help at all…?” you ask, risking a mention of Wednesday night. You lifted one sneakered foot up onto your toes and shifted nervously before settling it back down as you waited on his reply.
Eddie’s lips pushed out in thought as he brought his attention back to the delivery of nuts and pretzels (really, he was looking for an excuse to not have to look at you as he thought of that night).
“Oh, uh, yeah. Thanks — really helped,” he offered a partial smile as his eyes flitted over to you before turning down again just a fast.
You press your lips together in a weak smile of your own and nod but fall silent. Instead of giving into your urge to pick at your polish, you run the pads of your fingers over the smooth surface of your nails instead.
“‘m sorry for that hug,” you finally blurt out with an uneasy laugh. “I just- I really thought that was why you were reaching over, and I didn’t want to be rude so-”
Eddie’s eyes widened and finally removed himself from his suddenly oh-so-interesting task.
“No no no, you don’t have to apologize,” he promised as he stretched back to his full height. “I should’ve been offering anyw- ah, shit.”
Eddie hissed as he glanced down at his hand. While replying with a fervent need to reassure you, he had thoughtlessly grabbed at the wrong end of the box cutter and sliced the pad of his thumb.
“Oh my god, are you okay?” you rush over to him, instinctively cradling his hand with your own.
“Just a surface cut. Really.” Eddie chuckled. He really needed to go run it under cool water and bandage it, but he wasn’t ready to separate from you.
“What’s going on back there?” Ron questioned from the bar.
“Eddie cut his finger!” you replied as Eddie insisted “Nothing!” simultaneously.
Ron grumbled on his way to his back room that he had turned into a part kitchen, part break room, part delivery storage room. Surely there was some kind of code being broken there, but who cared? Clearly no one around Hawkins.
He eyed the way you two were situated but didn’t think much of it since you were probably just having a natural reaction to someone getting hurt.
“I swear…” he grumbled under his breath on his way over.
“You need to pay attention before you really hurt yourself one of these days,” Ron muttered, and grabbed Eddie’s wrist far harsher than when you reached out for him. “Aren’t you a mechanic? Don’t you know to watch where your hands are, kid?”
You cringed when he wiped at the spot with a rough napkin that sounded like it might as well have been sandpaper against the cut, then grunted.
“It’s fine. Just a bleeder,” he states with all the confidence of a certified physician and ruggedness of an old trucker before tugging up his jeans further into his partial beer gut and walking back out. “You know where the first aid kit is!”
“More than anyone,” Eddie added with a half grin to compliment his self-deprecation as he tilted his head, breathing out a soft laugh.
“Still accident prone, huh?” you ask with a slight scrunch to your nose and a lift to the corners of your lips, watching him head farther back in the multi-faceted room to the employee bathroom.
“Of course. Why wouldn’t I be?” He tilted back out of the room to offer you a cheeky grin, his hair jostling with the motion and then again when he flicked his head to get it out of his face.
“Oh, I dunno… Coulda learned your lesson after face planting into gravel,” you offer with an innocent tone, taking a moment to clock in before sauntering over.
“Well considering that happened several times, you should know better than to assume I’d ever learn,” he whispered playfully, grinning over at you.
“Guess so,” you snort, leaning into the doorframe.
“Had to rough this face up, y’know? Really dedicate myself to becoming a man,” Eddie used a deeper, rougher tone of voice and puffed his chest out as he held a paper towel to his thumb.
“It’s a shame it didn’t work,” you pouted before laughing at the hurt look he donned.
“You wound me, truly,” he moved his good hand to his chest.
“Not as often as you do, apparently,”
“Touché, touché,” he sighed, unclasping the first aid kit and flipping it open. “You’re still a lil shit, y’know that?”
“Can’t help it. Haven’t had anyone to banter with in years,” your head settled against the wood of the doorframe and his own tilted to the side as he regarded you. That smirk of his toyed on his lips as he considered your words.
He’s about to reply — surely with some cheeky remark about you needing him — but Ron was calling before he got the chance.
*
“Make sure you’re wearing gloves today,” Ron muttered to Eddie without lifting his attention from whatever he was writing down.
“You never wear gloves,” Eddie countered with a childish huff. “Only rich-ass bars in the city give a shit about that crap.”
“Yeah, well I ain’t a health hazard,” he snickered, finally raising his gaze to point his pencil at Eddie’s bandaged finger. “Gloves. Now.”
Eddie rolled his eyes but pulled gloves from the box under the countertop anyways. You’re on the other side of the bar, sitting on a stool and a smile pulling at your lips. Elbows on the countertop and chin balancing on your fists, you watch him intently with little giggles sneaking out.
“Don’t encourage him,” Ron pleads gruffly at the sound of you laughing over Eddie making a big show of pulling out the gloves and slipping them onto his hands.
Once he let each glove snap into place at his wrists, Eddie outstretched his arms and displayed his new accessory.
“Eh? Nice, right? Definitely won’t make everything I touch taste like latex,” Eddie nudged his boss who gave him a less than pleased look, but you were sure he was muffling his own amusement.
“Wanna learn how to bartend?” Ron asks you now. “I think there’ll be an opening soon.”
At that, Eddie leans back with a belly laugh, his dimples sinking into his cheeks.
*
You had unfortunately started your shift with the assumption that they had been messing with you when Ron and Sandy warned you about Saturday nights. When you arrived just before 4 o’clock there was nearly no one there besides the occasional regular; then twenty minutes past 5 o’clock came along and you were blasted back to Sunday mornings at the diner. The place was packed full of people all chummy with one another, which was charming until they were several drinks in and decided they knew you just as well.
Not all of them, but enough of them were flirting with you at every opportunity; and you were forced to use your customer service manners to deal with them. So many fake smiles were starting to make your cheeks ache.
Returning to the back with an empty tray, you rub at the muscles in one cheek with your free hand. You almost forgot how much service work meant forcing a pleasant attitude and dealing with aching feet. God, that was killing you more than anything. When you were leaving the motel, your trusty sneakers were like walking on clouds. Now, you were certain you had been stomping around on needles.
The music didn’t exactly help with your shift either while trying to hear requests and reply, especially since you weren’t one to use a loud tone. Ron insisted on live music whenever he could get it and you understood the appeal, but the band playing tonight apparently didn’t know how to have a respectable volume set for performing indoors.
You could handle it and you knew you’d form a routine with the locals that rushed in on the weekends and you’d learn how to cope with deafening musicians — you just needed to adjust to your new job.
What you couldn’t handle, as you were quickly learning, was seeing Eddie bartend. It was such a simple act, and yet it left you slack jawed while trying to stay focused on dishing out the drinks he prepared to the right people.
Something about the gloved hands and the rolled-up sleeves as he moved around the bar with such ease left you in the shadow of a crush looming overhead again. His chain bracelet and that familiar beaded bracelet were stacked on one wrist; he even had a few faded tattoos you caught glimpses of in the dim lighting. Not to mention the moving musculature in his strong forearms as he poured and served and wiped with a sort of sloppy expertise. You noticed there wasn’t a lot of mixing around here just like back home. Just a whole lot of small-town people looking for simple alcohol. The older ones seemed partial to a basic glass of whiskey or beer; and the younger ones all hopped up on the fact that they could finally drink legally were requesting shots.
Eddie had tied his hair back in a low bun with the occasional curl rebelling and framing his face that seemed to only be smiling or thinly veiling irritation whenever a mean drunk bitched about him not pouring enough. Either way it truly was something to behold.
As much as his looks should’ve been a passing thought, considering your place as an old friend, they insisted on lingering. You were still adjusting to knowing him this way and the odd disposition between knowing him like no one else and not knowing him at all continued to present a disorienting mix of feelings. The possibility of such complications never occurred to you when you became dead set on coming here, and you hated that you didn’t see it coming or brace yourself for it. Now you were stumbling through moving here for a childhood best friend and winding up finding a man in his place.
Then, of course, your thoughts circled back to your history with men. Don’t go there, don’t go there.
You let out a small sigh and checked the clock. 11:11. So close. So, so close. Before you knew it, it would be time to leave. Glancing at your notepad, you go over what that guy in the sweat stained sports tee asked for his cheap nachos. Extra jalapeños. He insisted on extra jalapeños and went into way too much detail of how “he’d be paying for it in the morning, but they’re just so damn good.”
“Having fun?” Eddie asked after his plodding jog to the back.
“Oh, you bet. An absolute blast,” you laughed, pouring the molten cheese over the thin tortilla chips. “Whatcha doing here?”
“Break,” Eddie answered simply as he flopped down in a chair in the small corner of the space dedicated to the employees. “Ron and Sandy got the bar for now.”
“Ahh,” you hum, spooning the jalapeños on top of the mountain of ingredients.
“Y’know, you’re pretty good at the whole bartending thing. It’s actually kinda cool,” you admitted, glancing over your shoulder to smile over at him.
“I just pour alcohol for the local drunks, but thanks,” Eddie laughed diffidently over the compliment, sliding his metal lunch box closer to get to his baggie of pretzels.
“Is that your dinner?” You ask now, fighting to keep the conversation alive. You’d take talking about pretzels over a lull in conversation.
“Oh uh--” he glanced down at the bag. “I might make something when I get home if I have enough energy.”
“You better. Or I’ll be forced to come over again. Pretzels aren’t dinner.”
“Oh, I see,” Eddie grinned. “Then you can come over and I can make a fool of myself again.”
“It’s okay, I’ll do it too. It’ll balance everything out,” you offered, placing the hot plate on your tray.
“Oh, well there we go. Long as we’re both fools, then it should be okay,” he agreed with feigned seriousness to your proposal then let his smile curl up his lips again.
“Of course,” you matched his endearing expression. “We’re always fools.”
“Always fools…” he tested aloud while leaning back to teeter the metal foldout chair back and forth.
“I concur, Critter.”
*
“They’re awfully chummy, hm?” Sandy whispered to Ron as she watched you two interact while cleaning up for the night.
“Yeah. I hate it,” Ron grumbled out, scrubbing at a stain. “He better not scare her off. She’s a good waitress.”
“Don’t be like that,” Sandy sighed, nudging her hip into his. “I think it’s sweet. And he’s a good kid, I don’t see him hurting her — let alone enough to cost us an employee.”
“So, we’re definitely keeping her ‘round?”
“Yes, we settled on that this morning — would you quit avoiding the topic?” She urged and Ron groaned as he stretched his back.
“It’s alright, I guess. Jus’ don’t want any drama around here. Too old for it.”
*
“So, I didn’t scare you off?” Eddie asked as you cleaned off tables together.
“Scare me off?” you repeated, glancing over at him. “Why’d you say that?”
Eddie eyed you through his lashes then looked back down at the same spot he’s wiped down probably six times now.
“Well, you brought up coming over again,” he let out a soft chuckle. “So, I’m guessing I wasn’t that much of an idiot on Wednesday?”
“Oh psh — please,” you laughed it off, standing up straighter after swiping the rag over the tabletop one more time. “If anything, I was being stupid.”
“Oh, I wasn’t saying you weren’t being stupid,” Eddie joked with that obnoxiously gorgeous grin, finally separating from that same table he kept cleaning. He sauntered over to you, his amusement and proximity warming you as he looked down at you. “Just that I was also stupid.”
“I’d say you were especially stupid, but I was trying to be nice,” you shot back in a dulcet tone, grinning up at him.
“Be nice?” Eddie repeated with a huff of disbelief, grinning when that earned him a jab to his side. “Gone soft on me, Critter? Not the same girl that’ll throw a remote at my head?”
“I only did that if you were particularly annoying while I was trying to watch TV,” you laughed, nudging his chest to just barely make him stumble back. Not that it discouraged that man who only smiled brighter.
“Well then, I guess I have an excuse for being such an idiot all the time. You really knocked something loose all those times you hit me with that remote.”
“Sure, it was me that knocked something loose,” you teased in a giggle, making your way over to the last couple of tables. Your laughter only builds up at the face he gives you — both playfully hurt and encouraged to get you back.
Within seconds you noticed the way he started to twist up his rag, and you were squealing and rushing away from him. Eddie chased after you and whipped at you with the towel whenever he got the chance, occasionally jamming his hip into a table or a chair with a breathy “Oof.” Amongst your squeaks of empty fear, you were still cackling and tried to get him back with your own towel.
“Children!” Ron suddenly announced, and you two slowed down to a stop — still breathless and giggly. “I’m old and would like to go to sleep. Maybe finish cleaning before flirting?”
Sandy gave him a look that could kill for that, then followed Eddie’s example and whipped at his behind with a rag.
Both of your faces flushed at the accusation, but thankfully weren’t forced to sit with the embarrassment of being called out by Ron. Instead, all your attention went to cackling over Ron’s tired reaction to his wife snapping a towel at his ass.
He looked genuinely angry for a moment, and then he was clearing his throat and wiping the bar cleaner off his hands and twisting up his own towel.
“Nope — no — Ron,” Sandy started with a warning tone, but she was already laughing, slowly backing away.
“Gotta play fair,” Ron pointed out and whipped at her thigh. That was enough to send Sandy squealing and Ron chased after her to the back room while the two of you leaned into your laughter.
You’d do anything for a love like that.

“Still not a fan of pretzels for dinner?” Eddie chanced a glance over at you with a lazy, half grin as he toyed with his keys and walked you over to your car.
“Definitely not a fan of pretzels for dinner,” you answered, laughing under your breath and nudging his hip with your own.
“It’s a shame cause y’know,” Eddie yawned dramatically as he stretched out his arms and then flopped into the side of your car. “I’m real tired. If someone doesn’t follow through with their offer, that’s for sure all I’ll be having.”
You tilted your head, feeling that post-customer service ache to your cheeks as you fought the urge to smile at this absolute idiot leaning against your car. His elbow was propped up on the roof, his fist supporting his head and squishing his cheek.
“I don’t know if I have the energy to cook right now,” you sighed, doing your best to match his drama. “But you know what?”
“What, Critter?” He hummed, shoving himself away from the car to move a few stray hairs from your face and in that moment, you might as well have melted into the cracked and sun-bleached pavement. “I’m invested. Do go on.”
“I can buy us fast food,” you whispered to provide a surreptitious air to burgers and fries. Screw it. You’ve been good about eating real food. Maybe it was time to associate these meals with something positive for once. Whatever excused your addiction to excessive oil and salt.
“Ah, much better than pretzels,” he laughed, shoving one of his hands into his jacket pocket. “I’d be honored.”
“Just like old times,” him being closer to you to move some hair out of your face encouraged you to toy with one of the pins on his coat. A soft breeze swirled through the parking lot, and you were both reminded of how stuffy and smoke-filled work had been as you breathed the fresh air in. You caught the scent of a distant bonfire, but it was nothing like the cloud of tobacco back in The Hideout. The chill of the air combined with the musk of a faraway fire spoke of Fall, sweetening your already pleasant mood.
“Remember that time we got large pizzas for both of us on movie night?”
“Yeah,” Eddie let out a soft laugh. “You threw up on the carpet.”
“Yeah, and you got in trouble for using your dad’s credit card,” you add a small giggle of your own, just for your heart to sink at the shift in his expression. You shuffled in your spot.
“Sorry… I probably shouldn’t… I shouldn’t keep bringing him up,” you muttered, dropping your hand away from his W.A.S.P. pin.
“No — no, no it’s okay really,” Eddie was quick to reassure you, but your mood was still steadily spoiling and dragging the pit of your stomach down with it at even a glimpse of him being bothered by you. Upset, angry, annoyed, fed up — whatever it was. You were certainly paying the cost of your penchant for nostalgia, and even the aroma of an early October night couldn’t save you.
“I like talking about when we were kids,” he added in a hushed tone that eased your spiral a touch. You glanced up at him through your lashes. “Really. I do. Makes me feel… ah, I don’t know.”
He admitted that last comment with a huff. It was filtered through amusement over his inability to speak before he rolled his lower lip inward in thought. Both of his hands were shoved in his pockets now and he swayed in his spot while kicking a piece of gravel forward. He finally released his lower lip again which was left with a slight sheen to it now, and he settled on a shrug of defeat. He couldn’t think of what he wanted to say.
You stared at him, this impromptu moment of softness burning through you in a way you weren’t expecting. Just as he couldn’t understand exactly why he enjoyed discussing his childhood as long as it was with you — you couldn’t understand the sudden pang of nausea that came from hanging onto his words and just to drop down over a noncommittal shrug. Your anxiety barreled into you in a sudden flash, leaving you somewhere in between the pain and the comfort of clinging to the past with him.
“Makes me feel cared about, I guess. Especially since we haven’t been friends in a while,” he finally concluded. “You don’t have to remember any of that stuff, but you do… it’s nice.”
“We’re always friends,” you insisted with a small smile, doing your best to not let everything fall apart over that once brief change of expression especially since things were looking up again.
“Yeahhh, you’re alright…,” Eddie murmured. “I guess I’ll keep you.”
“Oh, how generous of you,” you snort, attempting to move him to the side so you can get to your car, just for him to reach out a hand to settle on your upper arm. He gently urged you to turn around as he pushed himself off your car again.
“C’mon, I’ll drive. I don’t trust that thing,” Eddie insisted as he kept a careful hold on your elbow while guiding you towards his van.
“What?” you question, looking back at your lonely car. “I’ve had her forever, she’s perfectly safe… I can’t just leave her here.”
“Your brake pads are shit.”
“What?” you ask again with a slight pout and furrowed brows.
“When you visited me the other day,” he started with a light laugh to buffer his confession. “Your car sounded like it was screaming when you were parking.”
You reached his van that had aged gracefully over the years with a mechanic at its beck and call. Eddie unlocked the passenger side door and held it open for you, but you couldn’t stop looking at your car.
“She’s just tired s’all,” you frown, feeling guilty over abandoning an inanimate object no matter how silly it felt.
“She’s just gonna kill you if you don’t replace your brake pads s’all,” Eddie leaned into you with his mocking whisper. Your sad glance up at him is enough to make his playful expression falter. His heavy and dramatic exhale already pulls a smile back onto your face, knowing he was caving in some way or another.
“I’ll bring ‘er to Thach’s and replace them for you,”
“Thank you, Loogie,” you swooned, and he rolled his eyes over your excessively cooing tone.
You were lucky to have favoritism on your side.
*
“Give it to me straight, doc. Will she make it?”
Eddie glanced over at you with a faux glare.
“How many times are you going to ask me that?”
“I dunno, how many times are you going to squint at me instead of answering?”
“You know I’m doing this for free right? After hours? After already working my second job all night?”
“Ooo, you sound like such an adult,” you squeeze your shoulders up to your ears with a grin, a brown bag stocked with artery-clogging goodness on your lap. He shook his head at you, looking away again to hide his poorly masked amusement. He could say all he wanted about doing this for free, but you could still give him a hard time. He was getting paid whether he wanted it or not. Even if he didn't accept it from you personally, you'd at least leave cash at the front desk and ask the nice receptionist to give it to him.
“Alright, c’mere,” he waved you over eventually. You perked up, moving out of the hard plastic chair in the garage where you left the fast food in your place. “And can you bring that display over? On the table?”
Nodding, you snatched it on your way over to Eddie and kneel beside him.
“Okay so,” he started off with a sigh. Not a great sign.
“Best case scenario, your brake pads look like this,” a greasy index finger points to one of the pads on display before moving to the one next to it. “This is how they’d look with a more moderate amount of wear to them – not great and you'll want to replace them, and then this is how they look when you need to get them replaced ASAP.”
“And this is your brain on drugs,” you chimed in with the theme, before shrinking under the look he gave you.
“Sorry,” you murmured, even though he broke and smiled over your bad joke.
You returned to observing the gradual decline in buffers on the display and shrug a bit.
“Okay, so what about Sherry?”
Eddie groaned as he leaned back to grab the discarded piece of metal and held it up to show you. It looked like a flat, grimy cracker in comparison to the examples on the display.
“They’re practically just the backing plates at this point, I don’t know how you’re not dead,” the piece clinked against the cement floor when he dropped it back down. “How long have they been squealing?”
Eddie’s brow furrowed and he became visibly pained by the way you had to think about it. It wasn’t coming from a patronizing, “how can you be so dumb” kind of place, but rather it stemmed from the anxiety of knowing you were driving around like this.
“I dunno… I noticed a while ago, so I just played my music louder,” you shrugged, and Eddie snorted amidst his distress. He sat up more to lean his back on Sherry. “But then I had to start stomping on the brakes way before I usually would to stop in time.”
“Yeah, that’s generally not a great sign,” he snickered as you started to.
“I’m so sorry, Sherry…” you frowned despite your previous giggling, raising a hand to caress one of her doors. Eddie lifted himself up off the ground with a grunt, heading over to a sink to wash his hands. You crane your neck to follow him, dropping your hand down from your car and start playing with the creeper, rolling it back and forth.
“So, she’ll get some new brake pads and she’ll be as good as new?”
“Well, I don’t want to just replace those, I’ll check out the whole braking system,” Eddie turned to face you completely, wiping the remaining water and suds off his hands. He grabbed the bag you left on the seat and made his way back to you.
“How’d you learn all this stuff?” you asked, thanking him as he handed you your burger before taking a monstrous bite out of his own.
“Uh, my uncle taught me,” he said around his food, sucking a bit of ketchup off the side of his thumb. You noticed the sad glance down to the floor, so you backed off. You didn’t need another moment like earlier when you brought up his dad again.
“I just can’t get over the fact that you’re a grown up…” you murmured to yourself, looking down at your meal. Eddie eyed you as he kept chomping away at his food. The horrid sound that you’ve always despised motivated you to look up at him again, and laughter bloomed from your chest at the sight of the mess around his mouth. His chewing slowed as he blinked his big eyes at you. Gulp.
“What? What’s so funny?”
“You still eat like an obnoxious kid,” you teased, kicking a foot out to nudge him and pull multiple napkins out of the bag for him.
He simply shrugged in response with a cheeky grin, accepting the napkins that he unceremoniously smeared over his lips.
“Hey, you’re the one who wanted to be here,” he raised his hands up in defense now, chuckling to himself.
“Yeah, I am…” you murmured, leaning your head back against Sherry as a fond smile formed on your lips while you watched him start to dig through the bag for any stray fries to add to his container. He shoved most of them right into his mouth before glancing at you again.
“What?”
“Nothing… just happy to have my best friend back,” you murmured, and he silently melted at the sincerity. God, did he feel lucky for once.
You take a beat before outstretching your arm to present him with your downturned hand with just your pinky out. Eddie recognized the old gesture and wiped his hand on his pants, despite the napkins at his disposal, before reaching his own hand out. Interlocking pinkies was of course typical of some childish pact which the two of you did plenty of times as kids, but sometimes you sought this out simply for a moment of comfort. It made you feel held and even as kids, Eddie had the emotional maturity to understand how lonely you felt because of your family. So, when you needed someone to hold your pinky, he was there. The only difference was now his pinky was closer to the width of your thumb and nearly swallowed your pinky whole when he wrapped it around yours. Just another adjustment to Eddie being an adult, which left an unlaughed snicker in your chest at the realization, but it comforted you all the same.
And this night in a dingy old garage after a long shift was easily the best night you’d had in years.

2.25 Do the Right Thing
Tumblr media
Lilian: Thanks for getting those documents for me. The lawyer says it should be an open shut case. Have you talked to him yet?
Chantal: Yeah, I’m meeting with him next week. I’m a little nervous about it though. I’ve never dealt with the legal system before.
Tumblr media
Lilian: Yeah, it’s stressful for sure. I hope you have a good support system to help you through all of this.
Chantal: My family is great, but I haven’t told them about everything yet. I wanted to handle it myself, but I’m just so overwhelmed.
Tumblr media
Lilian: Well, maybe you should reach out to them. I’m sure they wouldn’t want you to go through this alone. I’d walk through fire for my family, I’m sure yours would do the same.
Chantal: They would. I’ll talk to my dads and see if they can come with me to the lawyer’s office.
Lilian: I think that’s a great idea!
Tumblr media
Nico: Hey, Chantal, can you come with me for a minute?
Chantal: Uh, sure.
[Nico leads Chantal to Ambrose’s office]
Tumblr media
Ambrose: Good morning, Chantel. There’s something I'd like to discuss with you.
Chantal: Yes, of course. What do you need?
Tumblr media
Ambrose: Well, I’m sure you’re aware of the nasty rumors a certain someone has been spreading about me.
Chantal: Oh, yeah, I’ve heard a little about it. I can’t believe someone would say such awful things.
Tumblr media
Ambrose: It really is a shame. We used to be so close, but jealousy is an ugly monster. Anyway, it seems Kayla’s accusations have inspired some money grabbers to take advantage of the rumors and make some false accusations about the quality of my products.
Tumblr media
Chantal: Oh, that’s terrible!
Ambrose: Indeed it is, and some of them have even brought lawyers to the matter. A shame for them since I can afford much better counsel, but you can understand I want to be prepared.
Chantal: Of course, do you need me to help in some way?
Tumblr media
Ambrose: Oh, Chantel, you’re really such a doll! I actually could use some help. I’m very concerned about how all of this will affect my reputation, as you can imagine. I’m sure I’ll win the case, but the better I come off during the trial, the better chance I have of overcoming these vicious lies. I just need a few people to vouch for me on the stand and tell the jury that I’m not capable of such things.
Tumblr media
Chantal: Sure, whatever you need. I’ve learned a lot about you since working here, and I’m sure I know just what to say to sway public opinion in the right direction.
Tumblr media
Ambrose: That’s great to hear Chantel! There are likely to be a lot of accusations thrown about, and you know how tricky those lawyers are. Sometimes you want to be honest, but they have a way of making the truth sound much more insidious than it is.
Tumblr media
Nico: We need to know that no one’s revealing anything that could be misconstrued, whether it’s truthful or not. Some things are better left unsaid, you know?
Chantal: Yeah, confirming something that makes the company look bad could really affect the outcome of the trial.
Tumblr media
Nico: I’m glad you understand. It would be unfortunate if things at this company didn’t work out for you. It’s such a good opportunity.
Ambrose: Yes, and especially after all the business about the review you wrote. It would be quite a task to get hired somewhere else after that. Not many people would be willing to overlook such an egregious mistake.
Tumblr media
Chantal: I thought you said that the review would be forgotten about and everyone would move on?
Nico: That was before this became a legal issue. The stakes have certainly been raised now, wouldn’t you agree?
Tumblr media
Ambrose: Yes, that sort of information could be advantageous in certain situations where blame needs to be placed on someone. Do you understand what I’m getting at?
Chantal: I think I do.
Tumblr media
Ambrose: Then I can count on you to do the right thing here?
Chantal: Absolutely.

June 2018
Em wasn’t quite sure what she’d expected when Blake knocked at her door. She knew he had a triple header coming up, and he’d be giving her his keys, but the pass in his hand was unexpected.
“What’s this?”
“Your pass for Silverstone? I know it’s been two weeks since Monaco but you haven’t forgotten what they look like, have you?” She forced a smile as she handed it back to him.
“I’m not going to Silverstone.”
“Dan said you were?”
“I haven’t talked to Dan in like a week. I know it’s a busy race, I figured I’d watch it at home.”
“Look, I’ve got to go to the airport. I’m heading to France and I won’t be home for three weeks. Take the pass and talk to Dan, if you come you come.” She took the VIP branded pass from him, Emma Smyth and “Guest of Daniel Ricciardo” on the back. The selfie she’d sent Dan the Christmas before was her photo.
“Yeah, sure. Anything you need me to look out for?”
“Should be fine. I’ll see you!”
Em closed the door after waving Blake down the stairs, pulling up her texts with Dan. Once she’d left Monaco they’d sent a couple a day, but after his race in Montreal there was nothing. It was a couple of selfies, a photo of the stupid hipster coffee shop she’d done a meeting in. He’d sent one word answers to most of it.
It was stupid. She shouldn’t be upset. They’d been friends and they’d fucked and she was more than happy to do it. And the consequences were they weren’t friends.
The pass felt like a slap in the face. Would she turn up and he just thought she was going to get into bed with him? She’d fuck him for the paddock pass? No. No way.
She didn’t want to think about Dan like that. The man she’d called a friend wouldn’t treat her that way. But how else was she supposed to feel?
Blake gave me the pass. Thanks for the offer but I wasn’t going to go to Silverstone.
The words stared up from her screen before she hit send. It was the first message between them in three days and it felt like the end of an era.
Barely thirty seconds later the text bubbles appeared as she watched Dan start typing, stop, and start again.
Why not? I miss you.
Because we don’t talk anymore. I think we made a mistake.
She didn’t even count to five before her phone started ringing, Dan’s face appearing as the contact photo. She slid to answer it.
“Hey, Dan.” She kept her voice calm.
“What mistake, Em? What are you talking about?”
“You’re actually going to make me say it?”
“Considering I’ve no idea what you’re on about, yeah.”
“Monaco. Us sleeping together. It was a stupid mistake that we shouldn’t have done because we ruined our friendship. So yeah, I’m not going to Silverstone.”
“Fuck.” She heard someone calling his name in the background. “Yeah, yeah. Two minutes I need to finish this call! The plane’s waiting for me. I…fuck. Look we need to talk in person. I’m not back in the UK until the Tuesday after Austria. Can we meet up?”
She weighed it up. Em missed him. She missed the silly texts and the ridiculous YouTube videos. It was so stupid.
“Yeah. I’ll send you a coffee shop we can head to.”
“Thanks.” She could hear the relief in his voice.
“Oh Danny? Good luck this weekend.”
“Thanks, Emmy. Yeah, Max, I’m coming. Give me a minute. I’m sorry I’ve got to-“
“Go on. Fly safe. Don’t throw Max out of the plane.”
“I’ll do my best. Thanks, Emmy. I’ll see you soon.”
She lay back on the couch and stared at the ceiling. No more sex. That had to be the first thing they talked about. It had to be.
A few hours later her phone buzzed as she worked, the “One new text from Dimples” appearing. She opened it to a selfie of Dan grinning from the plane, his free hand pointing at a sleeping teammate on his shoulder.
Apparently my shoulder is comfortable?
Max looks comfy.
She put her phone down before Dan could text her back, curling up with her iPad to finish her last task of the day. No more sex with Dan. No more. Friendship would be enough. It was more than she thought she’d get with anyone so it was worth it.

hiyahhhhh:) am i able to request a rui x reader where he gets jealous?
Jealousy, Jealousy
Featuring Rui Kamishiro
Hi anon, sorry this took a bit longer… I’ve been busy catching up in school. But i hope you enjoy:}
Cw) cursing (once), kinda cringe tbh but I was exhausted while writing this, short?? Idk depends on what you consider a shirt fic.
Tumblr media
Something you’ve caught onto with all your time being with Rui was that he is surprisingly not the jealous type. He might be afraid to lose you- but he has too much trust in you to get jealous. When he feels a tinge of jealousy, Rui remembers that at the end of the day, he’ll still be your #1.
With that said, what does make Rui so jealous that he forgets his go to thought? This guy who doesn’t know when to shut his mouth.
You and Rui have almost every class together, so you two are rarely separated. And in each of those classes- everyone knows you two are together. Your peers don’t bother you or him as much when they realize how happy of a couple you are. But keyword, almost. Almost every class.
And in that one class there just so happens to be a classmate you’ve gotten closer with in the past few days. Getting paired up together often for assignments and group projects, and you got along quite well. He, of course, was not as relevant to you as you were to him. So you never really brought him up to Rui.
So when Rui is on his way to meet up with you after class ends, he raises a brow at the guy chatting your ear off. Raising that brow higher when he notices you were giggling a lot and paying close attention.
Rui tries to brush it off- he’s just one of your friends. Friends laugh with each other and talk with each other, this isn’t any different. But the way neither you or your classmate noticed Rui standing right behind you slightly irritated him.
“I saw this new shop that opened around the corner- I think you might like it! Do you wanna swing by it with me?” ‘Is he trying to ask them on a date?’
“Is there really? I’m sorry- me and my boyfriend are supposed to have met up by now and go home. What about another time” Rui felt his heart flutter a bit, reassured you haven’t forgotten about him.
“Oh shit- you have a boyfriend? I mean, congrats? I just thought you were single y’know?”
Yeah, Rui’s had enough at this point. This guy clearly had intentions on being more than friends and whether you realized it or not- he’s kept making moves till you got the hint. Which of course, you didn’t. You would only notice and pay attention to Rui’s romantic gestures.
“Yeah actually, they’re taken. I’m their boyfriend. And we were meant to be on our way minutes ago but you couldn’t seem to notice they have no interest. C’mon (Name), let’s get going.”
You wondered how long Rui had been standing there before he spoke up, and you felt guilt swell up in your chest. How did you not realize your own boyfriend was standing right behind you while another guy was asking you out? He didn’t look sad, or upset, he looked slightly irritated but besides that his expression was blank.
The walk home was silent, but you still held onto each other’s hands with the occasional squeeze, it was reassuring.
Once the two of you were home, Rui didn’t waste a second to tightly hug you. You hugged back- appreciating this moment and his touch. When he pulled away he just looked at you, not knowing where to start when talking about how he feels.
“It’s ok, Rui, I know you were jealous and I’m sorry for not realizing my classmate’s intentions. But look who I’m with now! I’d choose you over anyone anytime. I’m not going to leave you, Rui.”
He’s not sure why- but Rui felt joy overcome him when you read him perfectly. He didn’t need to say anything and find a way to put his emotions into words, you already did.
“I’m sorry I got jealous over something so dumb. I love you, (Name).”

Tumblr media
Notes: Hey there, it’s been a while. Remember when I promised I’d finish this fic? Yeah, I haven’t forgotten. I’m just slow.
Quick little life update. (I guess I already talked about this in my last posts, this is copy pasted from AO3) It's been treating me with ups and downs. Long story short, things when to shit at my job but after putting up with a lot of bullshit, anxiety and uncertainty I’m once again in a good place. I also got into an actual real life relationship and I couldn’t be happier with them. They've really changed my life for the better <3 as a result I did lose a lot of interest in fic writing but this series is so special to me, I’m gonna finish it one day, hopefully soon. Please enjoy this slightly shorter chapter as I work on finishing the last chapters of this series.
Tumblr media
“Over here.”
You look around you, but don’t see anyone. You’re in a dark place. Alone, with nothing but faint lights from an invisible source and a disembodied voice to guide you.
“Come here..”
This feels familiar. You’ve been here before. Not in this room, but this place. This.. scenario. You start walking, trying to follow the direction of the voice. A familiar, warm yet commanding voice that you know all too well by now. Instinct tells you to follow it.
“There you go..”
But something doesn’t feel quite right. You’ve followed the voice and are standing right in front of where you expect someone to be. But there isn’t anyone. You’re alone.
“Wait..”
Her voice has changed, but you still can’t see her. The friendly, warm tone making way for something much less familiar, and therefore, much scarier.
“You aren’t..”
Fear.
She’s afraid. She’s never afraid. And of what? Or.. who?
“You aren’t safe here.”
You see her metal arm shoot out from the darkness, reaching out for you. But she misses, and you fall. Down into the void. Darkness surrounds you, terrified screams echoing from some place far away. The screams slowly morph into the sound of rushing water, and suddenly you’re falling down a waterfall. Sickeningly pink shimmer-stained water that tastes like cough syrup and smoke and fire fills your lungs as you gasp for air. You feel the metal of Sevika’s mechanical hand around your throat, but you can't tell whether she’s trying to push your under or pull you out. As your vision starts to darken, you’re suddenly out of the toxic water and on your back.
A large figure looms over you, their shape outlined by a brightly lit sky. They say nothing, you cannot see their face. Did they save you? Are you safe now?
“Sevika?” you whisper through labored breaths.
The looming figure stays quiet.
It’s not her.
Then darkness. Nothing.
You gasped loudly as you awakened, your hair stuck to your forehead and the sheets damp from your cold sweat. A dream. It had all been a dream. No, a nightmare. And a horrible one at that. You instinctively reached over beside you, expecting the warm, safe presence of Sevika beside you that you had gotten so used to over the past few weeks. But she wasn’t there. In her place was a note, neatly left on top of her pillow.
You let yourself fall down onto the bed again. Just a nightmare. Just. A nightmare. You tried to comfort yourself in lieu of your girlfriend, your rock, who never seemed too bothered by your nightmares but never hesitated to hold you in order to tell you that you were safe. She’d keep you safe.
Things between you hadn’t changed after you’d made it official. But things around you did. Zaun was restless, crime was spiking and Piltover officials kept putting their noses where they didn’t belong. Sevika and you both knew something was wrong, but you didn’t know what. Or maybe she knew more than she was letting on and was keeping the truth from you in a feeble attempt at keeping you safe.
You sighed, the panic from the nightmare slowly subsiding until you felt calm enough to start your day. Even though it was still early, Sevika had seemingly gotten up before you and left without ever waking you. What was she doing up so early? Would she be staying out late again? She’d been doing that a lot lately, waking up way early and staying out late. Sometimes she wouldn’t come home at all. Your mind filled with worries and doubt, you wished she was just here to hold you right now. To tell you everything would be alright. You reached over and grabbed her note from the pillow beside you, checking if there was any residual heat from her body left as a quiet reminder of her in the sheets, but there was none.
“Had to leave early again. Won’t be back on time for dinner.
I promise we’ll sleep in again one of these days. Looking forward to it.”

Sonic’s Return-Third Part
At that time, Misty was still getting acquainted with our new friends. Misty: “(Laugh) Wow! Your friend is so adorable, Fox. And she’s so polite. I bet your parents have raised you well, right, Cream?” Cream: “That’s right. I never forget my manners.” Amy: “So, Fox, how long have you and Misty known each other?” Me: “Well, we’ve known each other for about 8 years or so.” Cream: “How did you and Miss Misty become good friends, Mr. Fox?” Me: “Well, it all started when I was 4. My father died a few years ago and…Sonic, are you OK?”
I noticed Sonic looking up towards the sky for some reason. Sonic: “I…I’m probably seeing things. For a moment, I thought I saw Eggman.” Me: “Come again?” Sonic: “Remember the egg-bellied slow-mo that tried to take over our home world?” Me: “You mean Robotnik? Heh! Man, I can’t believe that egg-shaped body of his actually gave him a stupid nickname.” Amy: “Sonic, quit interrupting Fox. He was just starting his story. Please continue, Fox.” Me: “OK. Now, where was I? Oh, right! So, anyway, my father died a few years ago and I was still upset about it until my met my very 1st friend who helped ease the pain of my father’s death until…”
Just then, I heard a somewhat familiar laugh from above. I looked up and what do you know; I saw Dr. Eggman floating down in his hover cargo. Eggman: “(Laugh) Fox McCloud, long time no see.” Me: “Eggman!”
He stepped out of his hover cargo and Amy stepped in between him and me. Amy: “Stop! Don’t you dare come any closer to Fox! Stay away from him!” Eggman: “Now, Amy, let’s not be so hasty. Can’t I say hello to an old friend?” Amy: “Ha! Yeah, right! You’re lying! You just want to capture him and do some horrible things to him! Well, Knuckles may have fallen for a thousand tricks like that but I ain’t that gullible and I ain’t moving for anyone, not ever for…” Me: “Amy, it’s OK. I can take care of this myself.” Amy: “But Fox, do you even know who you’re dealing with?” Me: “Uh, yeah, I’m pretty sure I know whom I’m against. Now, could you just move.” Amy: “Oh… alright, but if he does anything, I won’t hesitate foe 1 minute.”
Amy stepped out of the way as Eggman stepped closer towards me. Cream: “Please, be careful, Mr. Fox.” Me: “So, Eggman, has it really been that long since we last met?” Eggman: “It appears so. I can tell that you have changed a lot since our encounter.” Me: “I know what you mean, and you’re still as fat and ugly as I recall.” Eggman: “Still haven’t let go of that sense of humor of yours, yet, have you?” Me: “It’s a gift. So, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about your new nickname that relates to egg-bellied slow-mo. Who knew that you would receive such a ridiculous name? Not me, but I’m not surprised; it’s written all over your giant gut!”
I started to crack up as well as the others around me. Even Sonic found it just as amusing as I did. However, not everyone thought that my joke is funny. Eggman: “How dare you! No one makes fun of the infamous Dr. Eggman.” Me:” Too late, Doc! Oh, I haven’t forgotten about that ludicrous face of yours. It makes you so ugly, you make blind people sick.”
Everyone began laughing again. Eggman was steamed. Eggman: “You insolent fool! No one makes fun of the Dr. Eggman and gets away with it!” Sonic: “Get real, Eggman. I have gotten away with making fun of you many times.” Eggman: “Ah, but I assure you this time will be different. This time you will all pay the ultimate price. I promise that once I’m through with all of you, you’ll never again make fun of the Dr. Eggman, the world’s greatest scientist. (Laugh)” Me: “World’s most complex moron sounds more suited for you.”
Everyone laughed again. This made Eggman even angrier. Eggman: “Let’s see how you like it when I unleash my robot army on all of you. Get them!”
Then from out of nowhere, all of Eggman’s robots came charging towards us. Sonic and friends did everything they could to fight back but they were overpowered and outnumbered almost immediately. I, on the other hand, wasn’t worried at all. Me: “Oh, please.”
I pulled out my staff and unleashed my ground quake attack. I took all those robots out one by one. Then I pointed my staff directly at him. Me: “Come on, Eggman. Give it up already. I have more fun watching paint dry than fighting your useless robots.” Eggman: “Oh, but it’s only begun. That new weapon of yours won’t be able to help you because I have the one thing you truly desire.”
Then Eggman relieved that he had concealed Misty and Knuckles in a large capsule. I couldn’t believe it. Eggman had captured the one true love of my life. She had a look of despair in her eyes as she held Knuckles close to her. Misty: “Fox, help.” Amy: “Oh, no, Eggman must have pulled another fast one on Knuckles. Fox, you have to save them!”
Then more of Eggman’s robot came charging in. Eggman: “(Laugh) Not so high and mighty now, huh, Fox? Now that I have your precious girlfriend. So, I suggest you surrender to me before things get ugly.”
At that moment, I was spellbound, so much so that I didn’t even noticed one of robots flying in. It grabbed my staff and flew off as Cheese chased after it. Me: “My staff!” Cream: “Cheese, come back!” Eggman: “Excellent. With you precious staff out of your hands and your precious girlfriend in my possession, you can’t stop me. And there’s nothing else you can do but surrender.”
What can I say? He’s was right. I had no other choice. Amy: “Fox, don’t give up, I know you’ll find another way to defeat Dr. Eggman, right?” Me: “I’m sorry, Amy. He has me cornered. There’s nothing I can do.”

ARB Birthday Special: Miho Kobayashi
Tumblr media
~~ May 16th ~~
“Pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you.”
Login Lines:
“Hm? Yes, what is it? I’m extremely busy today to you’ll have to make it quick.”
“A…present? Why would you—oh, I see, it appears that it is my birthday once again, how lovely, I had completely forgotten, well, thank you for the gift.”
Voice Lines:
“Once again, Goro starts off the day right by preparing me a delicious breakfast with all my favorites. He understands me so well, I truly could not ask for a better butler. Not that I want to.”
“As always, my employees and colleagues are adamant about throwing me a birthday party, honestly, I think it’s more for themselves than for me but I’ll be generous this once, business has been doing well these past couple of months, they deserve the celebration.”
“I will be taking the next couple of hours to prepare, both mentally and physically, for the influx of gifts and party invitations from my associates from the upper circle, no doubt news about my birthday has reached them, I bet they’re all just salivating at the chance to finally impress me and earn my good favor.”
“It is currently the afternoon and not once have I heard an explosion or sorts coming from Sumire’s lab and I am extremely on edge, it is one thing having her nearly blow up the entire estate but when she gets quiet like this, that only means that bad, bad things are happening or about to happen.”
“Speaking of bad things, hello Ritsuko, what ‘gift’ do you have for me this year? I want to hope that it’s nothing devious but knowing you that’s very unrealistic.”
“Good lord, Ritsuko! Where did you find this?! It’s…it’s absolutely beautiful! I’m actually surprised, I didn’t think you would get me and actual gift! Oh hush, you know what I meant, I’m curious to know how much this cost….wait what? Oh goddamnit Ritsuko, leave it to you to turn jewelry into a lethal weapon!”
“What. did. you. do…what do you mean ‘what do you mean’?! You have been silent all day and I haven’t even seen you since yesterday! Now we both know that can only mean that you’ve done something so nefarious that you have to go into hiding so now I will ask you one more time. What the hell have you done now?!”
“….What? Yes, yes, I know…I just…I’m…surprised? This is…actually quite nice…wait, you aren’t just distracting me, aren’t you?…I-okay, okay, I get it!…Sumire, thank you…do you perhaps—and she’s gone….”
“Goro? You have something for me? You didn’t have to, just being here is more than enough…yes, yes, I know that’s overused but it’s the truth…okay, fine, I could never turn you down, what is it that you got me?”
“This is…no, this is perfect, absolutely perfect. I…you have always been like a father to me, a father that I desperately wished I could have, you mean so dear to me and I am honored to be your daughter, thank you, Goro.”
Ritsuko Lines:
“Happy Birthday, Miho. My, how fast time flies, it just seemed like we’ve already celebrated your birthday but I digress, I wanted to give you this, I tried to match your style, I hope that you will wear it one day.”
“I’m glad you like it and I find it offensive that you think I can’t do something nice for you just for the sake of it. Hm, yes, well, it didn’t cost me anything, I had made it myself, I made it so that it will release a deadly toxin should you feel like your life is in danger, it won’t hurt you of course but I can’t say the same for people around you in a 30 mile radius.”
Sumire Lines:
“Happy Birthday, Miho….what do you mean? Well yeah, I didn’t get home until 3am and I spent the day in my lab…oh for fuck sake, you really have so little faith in me that you would accuse me of doing something evil every time I fucking go out?! For you information, no! I wasn’t doing something “nefarious”, I was making you this!”
“Yeah, I know, shocking that I would make you an actual gift, no, I’m not distracting you! How hard is it to believe that I did something nice for you?! You know what? Whatever, I’m heading out, enjoy your birthday.”
Bonus! Goro Lines:
“My lady? I hope you don’t mind the intrusion but I have something for you, it’s from me personality. Forgive me for stepping out of line, my lady but that line is horribly overused haha and I wanted to get you a gift for your birthday, I do hope you’ll accept it.”
“I am upmost pleased that you like my gift, my lady, I know it’s not as extravagant as the ones you’ve gotten but I personally think that nothing can beat a lovely card. My lady, you hold a very dear place in my heart, I never had any children but I consider you to be my daughter and I will be forever grateful for the day we met. Happy birthday, my lady.”

For the WIP asks:
3, 6, 7, 9, 14, 15, 22, 23, 24, 26
Look. I wanted to say ‘ALL!’ so, believe it or not, this is actually me reining it in! 😆
3. what’s a wip that you’ve procrastinated on the longest? why?
I mean, it has to be my Fake Dating AU (for Coldflash, of course). I’m mostly procrastinating really getting started on it because I know it’s gonna be on the longer side and I’m in the middle of posting another big project of mine so I really cannot handle having to write both at once (no matter how much I might want to, haha, but unfortunately I’m trying to be reasonable).
6. write 3 sentences of any wip you’d like, post it in the answer.
Barry has been the one to make every move. Len wouldn’t have. He promised himself that he would only take as much as he was given.
7. do you outline before writing? if so, what’s your outlining process like?
Not really? I’m kind of a mess about outlining to be quite frank, I always know vaguely where I’m going but that’s about it!
9. what are you struggling with the most in finishing your current wip(s)?
Scene transition, which is always a big problem for me honestly. Figuring out how to get from point A to point B in a way that’s not too abrupt and makes sense.
14. what’s your favorite thing about writing?
When things suddenly click into place after you’ve been stuck for a while.
15. what’s your least favorite thing about writing?
English hard :(
22. when do you know you’re really in a writing frenzy?
To be honest lot of the times writing in English is very much like hitting my head repeatedly against a brick wall for me so writing frenzy? I don’t know about that, lol. I’m just glad when I’m able to write for a while before hitting the wall!
23. what’s something that you think all writers should know?
Oh I really don’t think I have the writing chops to answer that!
24. do you have a writer you look up to in terms of writing routines/style?
I don’t really have a writing routine per say but in terms of style and characterization @moriavis was probably the biggest inspiration for the way I write Coldflash, especially in my current series.
26. is there a wip you’d like to see recreated in a new medium (ie. movie, audio drama podcast, web series, animation, musical)?
Lol, no? Not that it wouldn’t be fun to watch a Coldflash musical XD But yeah I don’t have any other ambition than to write fic and hopefully have a couple people like it too.
I hope I haven’t forgotten any of your questions and thank you so much for asking me so many of them <3

Distant Memories of a Forgotten Fall
For @cherrythepuppet
He was never in town for more than a few months. Still, plenty of time to know and love the scarecrow. The one thing Grover would never admit was his favoritism towards Home and the people that lived there. Home had his cousin, Vince, by name not cloth, it had his favorite dog Barnaby, it had all these people he’d known for years, and it had a sweet young lady named Penny. The scarecrow was starting to see her as a sister, she even dressed up as a scarecrow for Halloween. He wouldn’t tell her that he hated when folks did that, but he felt immensely flattered and from then on started to guard her like a sentry.
When he left in the early morning hours of the first snowfall, he felt deep in his cotton that this would be his hardest year. He grew so much closer to all his friends, and he didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye. He walked for miles in the snow without his scarf because Penny had been cold. He hoped they knew how much he loved them. All of them.
The year was indeed hard. It was tedious, and his others towns with his other friends felt less vibrant. He still enjoyed his time there, but something just wasn’t quite right. When he saw a single yellow leaf on the trees and felt a cool breeze blowing through his summer town he couldn’t have been happier. He practically threw a stick at his birds to get them to start flying. His long legs pounded against the earth as he raced towards Home. He felt his heart start to sing as the days passed on his travels. Home was closer than ever!
When he arrived, that all familiar smell of one of Poppy’s baked goods filled the air. Grover was prepared this year, he’d actually brought a bit of birdseed for her. Even if he didn’t like her all that much, he would still be cordial.
“Yoo-hoo! Ms. Partridge, I brought a gift!” He said with a smile in his voice as he knocked on the door of her barn. The sounds of Poppy’s anxious squawks made him laugh. Then he heard Penny’s voice as she approached the door.
“Oh, don’t worry so much Poppy! It’s probably just Eddie. Oh! Hi, I haven’t seen you before! I’m Penny Peaches. What’s your name, Mr. Scarecrow?” She asked with her sweet voice. Grover looked down. He was stunned for a second. Was she playing a trick on him? He knew that she didn’t have that good of a memory and a year had passed since they last saw him. It had to be a joke.
“Oh come on, Penn. You know me. Good ol’ Grover. Say, ya haven’t seen Vince around her anywhere? I saw Ritta flyin’ overhead and I am not ready to get knocked in the noggin’ again! Haha!” Grover laughed. When he stopped and looked down to a confused face he paused. His mouth drew in a tight line as Penny scratched her head.
“I’m awfully sorry, but I just don’t know who you’re talking about… uh- you said you had something for Poppy?” They responded to him with a kind but confused and maybe scared look on her face. Grover looked down at his hand, holding the bag of birdseed before he dropped it into her hands.
“Yeah… yeah. Are you feelin’ alright? Ms. Cent Stone-Fruit..? Ya remember that, Penn?” He asked, going to ruffle her hair. But she pulled away from him with an anxious chuckle.
“You must be confused. I don’t think we’ve ever met, Mr. Scarecrow. I gotta take these back to Poppy.. thank you for the gift though.” Penny said before turning her back on him and closing the door. He stood there at the barn for a second.
Grover picked up his leather travel case and walked to his fence. He sat there for a moment before opening it and pulling out a long strand of hay that he smoked on sometimes. He lit it with a match and stared onto the lake down the hill. This year was going to be even harder.

lols here we go again @2manytabsopen
rant no.1
um so has everyone just forgotten that matty beniers was talking to a minor… like a person who is under the age of 18 kind of minor because i’m pretty sure that shit happened and i’m not quite sure why we are still making fics about this boy. or even talking about him but whatever you do you i guess 💀 another thing hockeyblr has somehow forgot is thomas bordeleau being besties with a rapist like excuse me. also not to mention using a euphemism of the n-word which is so very inappropriate. honestly i’m so sick and tired of people defending both of these boys' actions. stop saying they’re too young to know better like just no. there are literal 10 year olds out there that know these actions are inappropriate and completely unacceptable. so don’t anyone give me that “they’re too young to know better speech” because i will not hear it. they do and should know better than to do these things because they are grown ass people. they are both 20 years old and that is definitely old enough to understand that talking to a minor in a sexual way, associating yourself with a rapist and saying a racial slur is not okay. to be honest people that are still making fics about just whatever i don’t associate myself with the people who do and i block the tags and shit. it just annoys me that people don’t give a fuck and choose to ignore the issues at hand.
rant no.2
again with the talking shot about WAGS !!! like excuse me ma'am i know you did not just insult a woman for being friends, dating or marrying a hockey player. who the fuck do you think you are. like i know you have singular m&m rolling around in your brain but maybe just maybe put the god damn m&m to good use and THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK. what the actual hell happened to “girls supporting girls” does that suddenly not apply when your favourite hockey gets into a relationship ?! you’re jealous so what suck it up ur fav hockey was bound to get into a relationship at some point and honestly if ur THAT jealous you just had to bully the gf how come you didn’t slide into the dm’s while he was single and try to bag him… like girl come on. even if you did and it failed that doesn’t give you the okay to bully the S/O. the whole thing is so fucked up i have so much more to say but i don’t know how to type it out so yeah
rant no.3
tying in with rant no.2 the whole girls being friends with hockey players and people bullying the girls, trying to find out information and literally stalking them is just weird. specifically with the umich hockey team. like since when was it bad to have guy friends or girl friends…  some of y’all are bullying these girls that are in COLLEGE fucking college !!!! leave them the fuck alone they haven’t done anything to hurt you all they’re doing is having a good fun time making friends in college is that so wrong to do. and so what if some are in a relationship that’s none of your business to find out if they are. talk about invasion of privacy. some people on this app are really finding these girls tiktoks, instagrams and VSCO’s and posting them on here like just stop. for the millionth time they are in college just normal fucking people and you are invading their privacy and making them probably very uncomfortable. they just want a normal college experience but you are ruining it for them by making unnecessary comments. ESPECIALLY on tiktok just get out of the poor girls comments and stop making her feel uncomfortable. some of the people on umichblr are the reason these girls delete videos, private their account and take vsco’s out of the bio. it’s because you guys are making them uncomfortable and all of y’all are saying stupid shit like “oh idk why they deleted the video” like what ?? you posted that video on this app maybe posted a link so now all these jealous ass people can go into the comment and bully the girl like enough is enough. i’m sick and tired of it.
um anyways these are my rants for now i hope these made sense i tend to not make sense when i’m mad but ya 🤩

School Festival ☆ Tamayori’s Haunted Dollhouse - Chapter 8
Location: Hallway (In Front of Haunted House) Characters: Mika & Shuu
< A few hours later. >
Tumblr media
Mika: Oshi-san, look, look! The line is huge~♪
Shuu: So what of it? You find joy in seeing a line? You truly are odd.
Mika: Ahaha… It’s not that. I was just happy to see the flyers were successful.
Shuu: Right, you and the two in “2wink” went off to hand out flyers, didn’t you? And that’s how you got Rei to help.
Mika: Yeah. The “Butler Cafe” is a huge success. There were around the same amount of people– no, maybe even more, linin’ up for it.
Ehehe, no wonder he’s your friend, Oshi-san ♪
Shuu: And what of it? …Good grief, don’t make me repeat myself.
You’re innocently pleased with everything but did you forget our reason for taking part in the “School Festival”? We’re doing this to win that reward for the best booth or performance.
The Boy said second and third place will also be rewarded.
But to think my creation will stand second or third best won’t make me happy at all. If anything, it would feel like an insult and I’d be extremely offended.
Mika: Yeah, I haven’t forgotten. But, you know~ Don’t you get happy seein’ your friend’s booth doin’ well?
It looks like Naru-chan’s booth is doin’ well too. Naru-chan told me about her booth and I felt happy since it sounded like I was there too ♪
Oshi-san, yer okay not payin’ a visit to the “Butler Cafe”? You went to see the Drama Club’s performance 'cause yer friend was performin’, right?
Shuu: Wataru invited me to watch so I had no choice but to go. Ahh, I suppose that isn’t quite right. I went to see how the outfit turned out and I watched the play while I was at it.
Mika: Geez, you sure are fussed about the trivial things… There’s nothin’ wrong with watchin’ a performance yer friend is in. I guess rather than being fussed about the details, you can be kinda difficult at times, huh.
But I also like that part about you, Oshi-san…♪
Tumblr media
Shuu: Don’t create such a creepy atmosphere.
In any case, that’s the reason why I went to watch the performance. Ahh, just recalling it is embarrassing. If there is a hole, I would like to enter it.
Mika: Ngh, really? I thought it was really pretty ♪
The main actor who played Cinderella was a boy but they looked just like a girl… That means the outfit you made was really well made, right, Oshi-san?
Shuu: Hmph. You can fool a lot of people with makeup.
Mika: You might be right, but… If yer sayin’ yer embarrassed, I think the actor playin’ Cinderella must have been even more embarrassed.
Ahh, is that why their movements were kinda stiff? Your friend, “Ryuu-kun” was also movin’ really stiffly.
Shuu: That was simply lousy acting. Well, Wataru prefaced it by saying it was “truly a comedy”, so I suppose it was rather brilliant and successful as one.
But I don’t watch comedy so I don’t actually know if it was truly outstanding or not.
It seems the performance went smoothly so I’m sure Wataru was satisfied with just that.
Wataru won’t cut corners when it comes to theatre.
The actor who played Cinderella stood on stage until the very end and wasn’t forced to exit the stage in the middle, so I’m sure he is someone up to Wataru’s standards.
Mika: Ahaha, that sounds like one of yer friends, Oshi-san…♪
Oh… if we keep talkin’ outside the haunted house, people will think we’re in line.
Oshi-san, let’s go somewhere quiet.
Oh, but break time is almost up, huh. It’s a shame but we’ve gotta head back.
Shuu: It’s too early. Besides, we’ll be the ones to scare those visitors.
I don’t like noise. We can return to our work once there are fewer visitors.
Mika: Then, where do you wanna go? Hmm~ The “Butler Cafe”?
Shuu: Why that? It seems it’s made quite a name for itself as the sweets are exquisite and the tea is perfect, however.
The one who provided them with the tea leaves is none other than that damned Tenshouin! Ahh, I feel disgusted just mentioning his name!
If I could kill someone by cursing them to death, I’d say his name over and over again! Tenshouin, Tenshouin, damned Tenshouin!
Mika: O-Oshi-san, don’t make such a fuss so loudly~ Everyone’s wonderin’ what’s goin’ on and lookin’ our way! Nghh, I feel embarrassed just feelin’ their stares on me…!
Shuu: Embarrassed? Don’t say something ridiculous. You’re a failure as an idol if you don’t like attention.
Mika: No, it’s not that! A-Anyway, let’s get outta here!
Shuu: I don’t mind moving elsewhere, but where?
Mika: Huh? I’ll go wherever you wanna go, Oshi-san ♪
Shuu: You’re a doll with no independent will… I’ll rephrase that: Where do you want to go?
Mika: Ngh? Like I said, I wanna go where you wanna go, Oshi-san?
Shuu: I watched Wataru’s play already so there’s nowhere else I wish to go.
Mika: What? Nn~ That’s troublin’. If that’s the case, then I’ll decide where we go but is that okay?
Shuu: Will you not understand unless I say, “Do whatever you want. I’ll go with you to the places you want to visit.”? What a failure of a doll.
Mika: Sorry, Oshi-san. I don’t have much of a brain, so I won’t understand unless you tell it to me straight.
Ehehe… Then, let’s go outside. There'll probably be some stalls there. It’ll be a lotta fun~♪
