In franco-canadian folklore, Loup-Garous are a type of werewolf, in Quebec, they are especially prominent and are specifically sourced from religious curses, such as not going to mass or confessions. They're often men, and are cursed to transform into an animal (wolf, cat, dog, owl, cow..) every night for 101 days

Cédric's family is amidst the few who are able to inherit the curse, Cédric is a little shit who makes sure to 'renew' it after the 101 days stop. In truth this is caused by a very rare gene, his whole family has it, but because his family is highly religious and makes sure to go to mass, they also happen to drink wine. Ethanol subdues the gene and thus the 'curse'. Because Cédric dislikes alcohol, his gene is always active.

I've been working under the headcanon that Albus and Scorpius are avid stair sitters. From what we see at the end of the play it does seem to be a place they were quite used to going to (them casually sitting there and chatting, Rose knowing where to find them, etc) which is something I relate to as I also used to sit at the staircase so I didn't need to talk to anyone but my friends. (However I was 9)

I like to think that The Staircase Ballet was Hogwarts way of apologising to Albus and Scorpius for what they went through in her walls. Like it was confused on why they weren't sitting together and assumed they were lost from eachother until it eventually caught the hint and separated them. This would be more heartbreaking if we think that the Staircase is usually causing trouble for students by moving at the worst times, and this time it was timing its movements almost elegantly.

OR it was a prank because the Staircase is an asshole. I feel that'd be funnier.
