More earthspark Megatron in tfp stuff

I feel like the main turning point in when the deceptions realize this Megatron is different is when Starscream inevitably tries to betray Megatron and become the Decepticon leader again. He gets caught or outed of course so he's now standing in front of Megs to await his punishment. On one servo Starscream is terrified out his fragging mind on the other he's finally glad to see how bad the beatings are going to be. The unknown is scarier than the know kind of situation.

Before Starscream can start begging for his life routine Megatron just says "why?" Starscream confused why what? Megatron why did you betray me he would ask? And everyone especially Starscream is caught off guard. Everybot knows he does this for power and stuff but Starscream hasn't actually really explained why. Especially to Megatron of all people. He feels like this is a trick question and he just doesn't know what to say. Es Megatron seeing his internal struggle just sighs and is like tell me later I got stuff to do then just leaves. Multiple bots seeing this would pinch themselves and ask others if they saw that too. Maybe some of them suggesting they all experienced a mass hallucination.

While everyone is very confused and scared they're also curious if this doesn't make him mad what else won't? So decepticons will subtle try to test his limits. Like brushing against him in the hallway, being a little late to meet him, mess up in front of him, stuff like that. Es Megatron doesn't even notice lmao. His primary focused on calming down Starscream without calming him down himself. Es Megatron doesn't want to blow his cover of evil dictator but uuuuugh. Starscream is acting like those little nervous chihuahua dogs in sweaters. 🥺

The mech is so extremely stressed because he still can't think of a correct answer and is like 5 seconds away from a nervous breakdown. Megs won't leave him like this so he'll just confront comfort him.

Starscream will be called to the throne room by es Megatron and he knows his time is up. The second in command is very quietly freaking out the entire walk to meet Megs. He reaches him and from an outside perspective Megatron looks kinda mad but internally he's also freaking out.

I don't know what exactly Starscream would say/do but regardless in the end Megatron just "logics" his way out why he's being "nice." It boils down to he knows Starscream kept betraying the other Megatron regardless of how badly he was beaten so obviously he was doing something wrong. So ES being the superior Megatron has decided to do something new. He will psychologically manipulate (theraptize) Starscream. The seeker is wondering why he was telling him this;as wouldn't him knowing he was being manipulated make it harder to manipulate? ES just brushes it off and says he'll do it so well that it doesn't matter if he knows or not. The previous Megatron with a proven history of insanity would make Starscream completely believe Megs.

So he's sent on his way and ES Megatron has now begun his absolutely terrible truly evil plan of... of- making everyone more mentally healthy!!

What are your thoughts on Can’t Help Myself by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu? AKA the robotic arm sweeping up something bloodlike leaking out of it.

First, I would like to highly recommend watching a video of this robot, it's cool as hell, and the movements really sell it, honestly.

So, I want to start with acknowledging the actual meaning of this piece. It's about the violence and Sisyphean nature of guarding and enforcing borders. "Every border implies the violence of its maintenance" and all of that. This is a very important political message. However, I think allowing yourself to only see an art for the intended meaning is counterproductive to the very nature of art.

The robot moves in a jerky fashion, tries desperately to keep this blood-like substance close to it. In doing so, it slowly destroys itself. It gunks up it's own mechanisms, it works itself to death.

And yet, this is all it can do. It was made to do this eternally. It lacks free will, it cannot do anything else and it cannot desire to do anything else. It quite literally, cannot help itself.

I find the jerky movements alluring, the inhuman nature of it, the constant reminder that it is far from human. I find the lack of control it has erotic. As I've said before, both extreme control and extreme loss of control are erotic, in my opinion.

The blood-like substance it seeks to contain and the voyeuristic nature of the viewer just elevate this. We are watching something, and should we be watching it? The desperation of the robot, the way it almost seems to be cleaning up its own blood, these feel intimate, like something not intended for us.

Overall, I give this one a 10/10. It elicits a strong "i think i hauve covid" from me.
