#I have an idea but no time: what if the ascension of the Cang Qiong peak lords in PIDW world is... slightly different from classical Chinese mythology? And it is bloody. Way more bloody 😯

What we know from canon? All 12 peak lords (who lived, ok) rule together and retired together. And the rumors are — they could even ascend in Heavens together. We know that the peak lords appoint the head disciples, who will took their places. It's s traditional management model of the big organisation, and it's effective in some ways, blah-blah 🙄.

And Shen Yuan took the body of SQQ after the previous peak lords retired (it's canon too). He lives his new live, unblock OOC, raises LBH, plans to accomplish "the Abyss mission" etc. He doesn't think many about the previous peak generation fate — really, it doesn't matter so much, he has his own problems! Is it so strange that nobody around don't mention them at all?

Then, after the Abyss mission, he meets and befriends with SQH. But. Why the An Ding peak lord is so excited about sun-moon dew mushrooms? Why he says "I'm not sure, but we must grow them more, it's a real chance for all of us!"? What chance?

"Do you think, Cucumber-bro, that all the miracles and power of Cang Qiong Peaks — the rainbow bridges, the Ling Xi caves, the hidden peak valleys full of magical herbs and beasts etc. — that's all for free? Your previous body speed-run cultivation to immortal master — do you know that usual people can reach this level only during the decades? You became a peak lord in nearly thirty years old — nothing strange, yeah?"

"But it was YOU, who wrote it that way!"

"Yes, it was me. I wrote about the unreal book world — and only after my transmigration I found, that all miracles had their real price."

"By sword. Or by poison. Or by any else tools, which not damage the golden core. You can decide yourself."

So, he has slightly longer life that an average human, but not so long, as an immortal cultivator could have. Not the centuries or millennia. He has the great power — but borrowed in blood. And his head disciple...

"Do I have any other choice? To run away? To refuse?"

"This is our duty. By lifetime. And if some Peak lords neglect their duty — all the adepts must bring them back. By words — or by force. Or the price must be payed by several times. One live — or ten, twenty, more? The qi must be balanced by any means necessary. Or the mountains became to ruin."

So he — and SQH have two options: to be killed by their sect and potentially (potentially...) became gods — or by demons (and kill that way the future of Cang Qiong). Not "live forever happily and lazy". Good, very good.

Scandalous! The head professor of the literature department is spotted having an alleged affair with an undergraduate student!!!

Au where SY get transmigrated into one of those ball joint mannequin dolls

Ik they probably didn't exist back then (most xianxia books take place around the song dynasty from what I've read) but we'll just say that airplane didn't know that when writing Cang Qiong Mountain

Anyway, since one of the things CQM specializes in is arts what if they used those mannequin dolls for references.

Luo Binghe probably wasn't given a new one like most ones but rather one that a missing hand or arm (most of his art supplies was probably broken or used)

Shen Yuan probably lost the limb by falling off a table, absolutely taken aback that he's a literal freaking doll

Well one day Binghe gets back from some punishment a bottle of medicine is rolled to him by his mannequin. He probably freaks out at first but decides not to look a gift horse in the mouth. Besides, his possessed reference doll is being kinder then anyone else on the sect.

Shen Yuan would have helped a lot sooner but he's small and that medicine was hard to get on his own.

Luo Binghe ends up taking a great liking to his possessed mannequin. The soul that inhabitants it is very nice to him and his sharp wit is endearing. One day while LBH is trying to practice his cultivation SY stops him, saying that his form is incorrect and models what he should be doing (actually being a refrance like the object he inhabitants original purpose). LBH actually ends up correcting a lot of his cultivation and has a healthy base.

Shen Yuan is trying to be helpful so he won't be thrown away or be given over to someone to get a exorcism

LBH plans to try and get a better body for SY to inhabit but in the meantime he learns how to make/take care of dolls/mannequins. He ends up fixing SY's missing body part and probably paints a face or give poor SY some clothes

For some extra angst maybe MQ notices LBH talking to the doll and deciding to break it. SY probably doesn't get fully broken (or maybe he does, you decide) but LBH loses it and gets into a altercation with MQ. I actually think considering his background SJ would hate when people break stuff like it was nothing so MQ would probably get a actually punishment. LBH also gets punished just not as bad (still pretty bad though, just less). Though LBH doesn't really cares and rather try and fix the only person who deeply cares about him. He probably spins every night working on fixing SY. He lags behind because he isn't sleeping properly and ends up getting punished more.

I'm what you would call the number one scum villain breyer poster on this site (because I'm the only one) 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ they're not with me because I'm only staying in my current apartment temporarily but I actually got breyers and little cowboy boots for my bingqiu nendoroids to turn them into horse girls. Ning Yingying is the easy answer but also the most boring I'll admit. But I do think she's a horse girlie at heart. I want to see Shen Jiu taking her to breyerfest and beefing with a ton of middle aged white women

I agree that mbj would be a great option as well though I don't think he would be *that* secretive about it since he really dgaf. Maybe while his uncle is still alive because he wouldn't be above breaking mbj's precious breyerfest live auction OOAK models but I don't think he would be embarrassed about his ponies. Because horses are objectively super cool and every lord needs them. Also I think he'd mostly collect unicorns and breyer winter decorators. I'm not sure if he'd be into the holiday horses though, probably depends on the year. I could see him fw celestine and snowbird and whatnot but probably not apres ski. These filigree decorators would definitely be in his collection with highly coveted winter gambler's choice models like the collectors club colored xaviers

Admittedly don't know a ton about clinkies (very shameful I know) but yeah mbj would be my top pick for those too. He'd probably have a bunch of Lladro sculptures now that I think about it. Unrelated to horses though I think the number one porcelain collector in cang qiong would probably be Yue Qingyuan, who is a Precious Moments Fiend

Gao Xun 高寻/ Gao Qingxi 高清系, Peak Lord of the Yindao Peak 隐刀峰 (Intelligence Peak).

Has two siblings, Gao Yunhua and Gao Yunlan.

Fun tidbits:

A massive gossip and very dramatic (once a woman tried to set him up to be her child's absent father but unfortunately she choose so gao xun played the role so well it went from 'scumbag lover leaving his wife and son to poverty' to 'star crossed lover together at last sob story'. dw they found the father and have a happy ending) .

If he was born in modern times he would have been a theatre kids and into kpop dances.

Loves wine so much. You could exchange informations for a good baijiu. Would not exchange vital informations about the sect with it tho. He has integrity. Even tho he's crying for that wine on the inside.

He love wine but for the taste? He doesn't like getting drunk bc its annoying but he does love the taste. Often volunteered to Zui Xian peak lord to be the taste tester for her newest wine. The numbers of him going to Qian Cao due to being poisoned by it is uncountable.

Till The End of The Moon: Luo Yunxi

I just finished this xanxia and it’s my introduction to actor/singer/model/ballet dancer Luo Yunxi (whose English name is Leo Luo). I’m not very familiar yet with Chinese actors as this is probably just the fourth CDrama that I completed.

Anyway, at first, I didn’t take to Luo Yunxi’s character Devil God/Tantai Jin/Ming Ye/Cang Jiumin (yep. His character has 4 incarnations in the story) immediately. His looks specifically didn’t seem to appeal to me. Yunxi’s physical features, especially his face, seemed too narrow and thin and it made him look too lifeless. However, as I continued to watch the drama, I realized the way he looked was a perfect representation of his character, emphasizing his aloofness, coldness and ruthlessness regardless of who he is at any point of the story. Underneath it all is a simmering passion and depth of feeling that he’s capable of all throughout the story.

As I went along, I saw how Luo Yunxi managed to convey the awkwardness and insecurities of Tantai Jin, the hostage prince of Jing, yet you could see that he’s actually highly intelligent, cunning and clever. Then as he starts to fall in love with Ye Xiwu/Li Susu (played by Bai Lu), his expression softens and his lips turn into a fond smile.

I began to see how nuanced his acting was. Most of the time, Tantai Jin's face is a complete blank and his eyes are shuttered. When his feelings are triggered, Yunxi can convey this with a mere twitch of his lips, a slight rise of an eyebrow, or a slight shift in the look in his eyes. When his character's armor is finally pierced by Ye Xiwu/Li Susu and he realizes how deeply he's fallen for her despite her complicity, it's amazing how his whole expression breaks down into a mixture of love, longing, despair and anger.

Yunxi is also very graceful in his movements and manages to imbue the Devil God incarnation of his character with enough menace without coming out as a caricature. He is at once cold and ruthless, yet filled with so much passion. Even his smallest smiles can give you the chills or make you hope that somehow, Li Susu is getting through to him and he might yet see the error of his ways.

Watching him in TTEOTM together with Bai Lu made me want to check out their earlier collaboration, the modern-day romcom "Love Is Sweet" which, interestingly enough is set in the ruthless world of investment banking. They were amazing together as Ye Xiwu/Li Susu and Tantai Jin/Devil God and turned me into a fan.

Interestingly enough, he has an uncanny resemblance to Ji Chang Wook, one of my favorite South Korean actors, in "Love Is Sweet".

What are your guys opinions on 3rd Party Transformers like Cang Toys and MMC? Do you think you'll ever make Art of their designs like the Cang Toys Predacons as alt variants for the Predacons here?

Transformers has a good 3rd party scene going and we appreciate that people care enough about these silly cartoon robots to make their own versions, whether they be art, 3d models, or straight up toys.

That said, I don't expect us to make the Cang Toys Predacons as variants of the Predacons here (at least not direct variants, maybe a cameo here and there.) But hey, I know better than to close that door.

Racing Development Post

Improvements made:

Added sprites for different models. Sprites include, player cars, enemy cars, backgrounds and items. Changed the enemy cars to make them all travel in the same direction. Added obstacles in the way that the player has to dodge. Additionally, some obstacles are actually power ups for the player. The player can drive over these and they are added to a new space on the screen that holds items. The player can also select the item. However i have not yet added the player being able to use these abilities yet. Lastly another scene was created and canging between the scenes was added once a certain amount of points has been reached by the player.

Learning in GDevelop:

Learning how to make a endless road that the player can travel along. Also making enemies spawn in only certain conditions and travel in certain directions. Also added sprite behind the player that acts as a dust cloud due to the cloud driving. Also changing the scene to the next scene once a certain amount of points have been added. This is extremely helpful for other games that require a fair amount of scene changes.

I know the duplicated background models in sv donghua's crowd scenes are a well known dunk point but can we talk about how they differentiate some of the models from each other by just giving them facial hair. To me this reads as awesome evidence that the cang qiong population has abnormally high rates of identical twin pairs where one of the twins is trans
