Once a Month Posting and Only Speaking When Spoken to... End of Discussion
I've come to realize it honestly makes no real difference if I try to be more active or not, on any site-- WIPs, final stuff, etc. I honestly am just discouraging myself at this point-- even to where I considered stopping things like anything "Corn Kidz 64" related 'cause why even if it's more annoying clutter than anything to everyone?
I mean, at least with purely original content, you're not exactly surprised when it doesn't perform like you'd hope. Yeah, I'm kinda tired of putting as much effort into and hurrying with getting things posted if it's gonna flop compared to something that probably took less time/effort (apologies if that's condescending, I promise I'm not skill-bashing and just going off of the realism of some things realistically taking less time to make).
So, I'm essentially "grounding" myself: no more posting for more than once a month, and no looking at social media unless directly messaged (I find it polite to answer ASAP and fear making someone feel ignored). If I'm worried about something happening to a finished product that could've been saved by posting it... Tough, Me, guess YOU should've been a little tougher and not done the whole "whiny comparison" game.

sits bolt upright in bed. buck putting in for a transfer WAS originally going to happen in 8.17. because part of the synopsis for that episode was “buck contemplates where he’s supposed to be” and there was that whole conversation with gerrard that they cut. at the time i was thankful (and honestly i still am, i wouldn’t have wanted another part of 8.17 cut) but i’m 99% sure that’s when it was supposed to be introduced

#jjba#jolyne cujoh#jojo's bizarre adventure#stone ocean#deliart#if u guys only KNEW the amount of reworking this artwork had#i began working on it in fall and it had completely different flowers planned bc of that#but as february came i changed it to spring flowers and decided to cast a wide net with different blooms#bc i knew i was gonna procrastinate even further due to the hassle of lining the knit patterns#and when i finished it there were still cherry blossoms where i live so. but as im posting it they have ofcourse finished blooming.#i was sooo close to changing it again to like. bird cherry blossoms or lilac (which are currently blooming here) smh#i might make a fall version for this later though#bc im a little partial to the initial color palette i had. the outfit was gonna be red and the image darker overall#.. anyway putting this in scheduled posts since ill forget it in the drafts forever otherwise

#bumfuzzled art#bumfuzzled animations#mha#tokoyami fumikage#dark shadow#I deleted like half the frames because I ran out of time mb guys. terrible planning.#and now for my regularly scheduled rambling#lil babies#they’re so eepy and so smoll#it’s their birbday#hc time: darkshadow does not need to breath but sometimes he’ll mimic the movements#1 because it makes him appear less scary and 2 because it’s calming for Tokoyami#kinda like the baby toys now that I think about it#on an animation related note:#I spend too much time animating darkshadow.#I just really like the effect but it’s very time inefficient#and I had to redo it when I took out frames so I basically did it twice…#for the record it’s in 8 fps but was intended to be 12 fps so it’s choppy#and not bouncy :/#I like my animations bouncy#edit: nvm I’m a dumdum and forgot to change the timing. it’s still in 12fps so it’s super fast.

(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by#and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is#You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)
