โNO BLACKS, NO DOGS, NO IRISHโฆ.AND NO CHILDREN IN CAREโ
Another subject close to my heart this one is. So close in fact that it can be painful, or at least a little stingy. See, I can understand how the stigma of children in care can be easily dismissed and overlooked. But itโs in so many places, and so many forms. Here is just one heartfelt example that is happening all of the time and all overโฆ

Have you watched @savingjawsmovie yet?! It is now available on iTunes, Amazon Prime, and Vimeo/Google Play for international audiences. With shark week around the corner donโt bite into the fear and be mindful of sensationalized and fear based shows that donโt do accurately portray the true nature of these amazing animals. #CageTheFear #SlashFearNotFins #ApexPredatorNotMonster #Repost @juansharks ใปใปใป So stoked that Saving Jaws is out and available on online. Ironically, I grew u with a intense fear of sharks as a surfer in Hawaii, thanks to media like the movie Jaws. After finding the truth about sharks, I dedicated the last 25 years of my life to changing peoples perceptions of sharks and this film dives into a big chuck of this effort with @oceanramsey In the end saving sharks is about saving the ocean and we really canโt live with out it. Please share this film with everyone or at least the information about sharks in it. Still canโt thank everyone that helped to make this a reality, especially my braddah @keonishoots and #ohana Also be on look out for another eye opening shark conservation film by @realeliroth and @nina hopefully coming soon. #helpsavesharks #ApexPredatorsNotMonsters #coexist #savingjaws #savingjawsmovie #sharks #whiteshark #greatwhiteshark #massive #shark #Hawaii photo by #juansharks using @aquatech_imagingsolutions @canonusa @xcelwetsuits @cressi1946 @freestylewatches @north_sails @guayaki #changingperceptions @savingjawsmovie online on amazon internationally and iTunes locally ๐๐ฆ๐ (at Oneoceandiving.com) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz3sMpdHVpd/?igshid=1dnu6axoalr5l
Based on universal understanding, I rewrite our perceptions of history, every time I write a blog for The CP Diary, all of that done in the constraints of where I am.
It is important history is rewritten. I have made rewriting history an occupation for the last 13 years at least. I have always been constantly engaged in a process of evaluating and re-evaluating the past, and interpretating my experiences.
It is important we learn from history, from our experiences. History isnโt just about taking notes of how something happened, it is important to understand how we think about the past and our relationship to it. Although the past has happened and is dead, history is very much alive and influencing our present.
Our past experiences are buried in our psyche. When it comes to our past, we cannot live through our many experiences, without holding on to some of them, but I take comfort in knowing that I have rewritten history, something I never thought would happen. Now my books can help you too.
I have not only rewritten history on my own personal life, but I am universally rewriting history for you too, not only for you in your personal lives, but through bringing politics into the equation too.
I also write and talk about the facts, not just on how things are currently. A different time and different values, doesnโt excuse the experiences weโre being made to live through. To ignore the facts is to relinquish all responsibility.
My re-writing history comes in the shape of Cerebral Palsy โA Storyโ and โSpirituality, Healing and Me.โ A bedside book and tool that can change the way you look and live your life.

Read >>Perception is everything. We see a bee and get petrified of its sting. Probably this fear is what causes chemoattractants for the bee to actually sting us. However there are workers who extract honey from hives. It's quite possible that they have learnt to eliminate that fear...And this would apply to every scenario in life. What we perceive and imbibe in our brain as pain will always be a pain in the a**. Not all blind people are totally blind. It breaks down like this. -Blind - you have no sight. -Legally Blind- is about 80% of people who are considered โblindโ meaning they have some degree of vision but it is so severely impaired it is a disability. This ranges from only knowing if itโs light or dark, to seeing shapes or silhouettes or maybe some side or tunnel vision. Each condition creates different patterns of vision loss. - visually impaired or low vision- refers to a persons visual ability and encompasses a wide range of vision loss. But typically they may be disabled or close. I am saying all of this because I have lost 95% of my vision except a very small hole in the center of my vision. So I still see a little bit. But I cannot drive or run or read print. When I am out in the world with people or on my own I am usually using a cane. Often I can see things or people. This seems to confuse people and I hear them say โheโs faking or that guy can see.โ Think of it more as being on a small piece of ice in the ocean but it is melting and you donโt know how long it will last. This is uncomfortable for me/US as blind people as a condition already. but we are not deaf and we have feelings. And we may actually see you. So When or if you see a Blind person or someone using a cane they are just another human being trying their best. You donโt have to go silent or โfreezeโ, up against a wall like a spy movie. We like to talk and itโs nice to interact with other humans once in a while. Perhaps even offer some assistance. We might need some. In any case I hope this clears up some misconceptions about blindness and the wide world of it. Take a chance make a friend. We are good people too. . . . . . #blindlife #blind #goingblind #lowvision #rp #rpawareness #visionloss #visuallyimpaired #funfacts #funfact #helpful #helpfulhints #helpingothers #motivationalmemes #changingperceptions #inspirational #inspiration #goodtoknow #needtoknow #ididntknow #nowiknow https://www.instagram.com/p/B0cU1tgh-ww/?igshid=f03oluhb035g
Itโs no wonder self esteem in young people is so low. How is anyone supposed to compete with a flawless version of themselves? We tweak, and adjust, and photoshop, and filter, and in the end we are left with a distorted version of ourselves. Then when we look in the mirror and donโt see that flawless face our shoulders drop. Filters are fun but the fact that they even out skin tone, distort face shape, change lighting and generally give a false impression of the subject is exacerbating an epidemic of body dysmorphia, low self esteem, anxiety and depression. Covid-19 has not only changed us and the world, but it has changed how we think and feel about everything. It has highlighted our morality.
Moving forward, it would be prudent for us to change our priorities and purpose, so that we are all able to fit into our changing world.
Setting goals
To set goals we need self-understanding and self-reflection helps with self-understanding. We can do more self-reflection. Before Covid-19, we were more in sync with our thoughts and feelings.
In Covid-19, it is important to step back, define who we are, and decide who and what we would like to become.
Self-understanding
With self-understanding we can open ourselves up to the insights that can transform our life, we can find more joy and happiness in our life.
There are things that we should deal with, things that we have perhaps forgotten about or put on the back burner, things that have hurt us that weโre choosing to ignore, but there are also things that continue to bring us joy, such as an engagement, a birth, a graduation.
Moving forward, it is important to make sure that the things that have hurt us, donโt override the things that we find joy in.
Covid-19 and Morality
When something like a pandemic happens, and we come face to face with our morality, our purpose and priorities can change and thatโs okay. It has to be, this is where weโre at, we canโt change what has happened, but we can change our perceptions, by becoming more present, more positive and more proactive.
Making a positive difference
It is important to think about how we can make a positive slant on our lives, for ourselves, and our loved ones. Covid-19 isnโt something that just affects us, itโs something the world deals with and that means changing the way we live our lives, our lifestyles.
Covid-19 is having a massive bearing on climate change, sustainability, the natural world, all of which the human species is responsible for. Itโs something we need to think about.
By letting go of the things that have the potential to harm us, we are making room for the priorities that can help us tap into our sense of purpose moving forward. In Covid-19 that statement has never been so true and urgent.
It is important to act now.
