rando suggestion, but i'd definitely start charging more per piece/backgrounds/props next time you open your commissions!! the quality of your art is worth way more than you're charging for it currently and it helps prevent commission overload in the future too (>_<)

But no yeah, the only reason i currently only offer white/transparent backgrounds is bc i don't really enjoy it enough to do it for other people??? I've been carefully studying and taking notes on the British English dialect and slang used in FFXVI as I do my second playthrough. If I really want to capture the characters' voices for fic, American English isn't going to fit them quite right, especially for characters like Gav, Mid, and Charon. Thinking I'll probably want change up my spelling conventions so as not to break immersion as well.

I finished 'Rusted Moss' tonight and it's sooo fun. Grappling hook metroidvania is such a cool concept and when each part of the movement system finally connects it makes for a very very fun sytem to play in. I remember a trial wall I almost finished climbing with the basic grapple and just slingshotting fern up the wall thinking I was cheesing things because it shouldn't work the way I was doing things... then coming back for the flag hours later doing the exact same technique but with the upgrades that boster slingshot height.

It's not a tradiational metroidvania in the sense of certain upgrades gating progression (ie you can't leave right from queen's station until you get mothwing cloak, you can't enter white palace until you have awoken dream nail) and instead the upgrades are mostly to the existing mechanic and if you know how to use it you don't necessarily need them for most of the challenges (easier with, and some areas you find are obvious about needing 'some' mechanic you havent found yet, usually recoil in my experience). I missed the rocket launcher and shotgun until I was almost done and started using a map for boss locations (missed both by one room...), and instead of using recoil for momentum just got very good at slingshotting myself with bounces. It felt very good my way :D Better with recoil! The fact that things are designed to be nonlinear really helps it and backtracking is used as a mechanic well (needing to return once getting an item for it to save means you need to prioritise survival not just zooming past everything. lab is awful but my fav part of the game for this)

( Ive been struggling to figure out how I could make Okita valid to interact with in her a vampire/ Vampire the masquerade AU because I have a very hard time seeing her as anything else than someone who believes in holding up the masquerade/ keeping the existence of their species a secret at all costs with the Camarilla as a sort of lap dog, if you will

But now I’m thinking…since this is an AU and I make the rules….could Nobunaga have used that max charisma build to her advantage here

Hmm. This is kinda hard since i'm not really a writer. But i would keep him pretty much the same personality wise Thing i would change: -Make Vlad a this neutral party charater in the long run. -Extra backstory out side of the Fenton. (i’m looking at why you should not hang out with God) -Instead of Clone arc being Vlad descent into madness it a Slap to Danny slowly monsterlize mind toward ghost and served as a reminder of Vlad own Humanity in TUE. -Change up his relationship with Dani. or go for something new like kid vlad or change 180 and try out a good vlad. The possibility are endless

Tbh I’d love to get my PhD and potentially teach at a university someday, but when I do, please remind me to stay humble and not to be a hardass about my grading or my deadlines. Not in the sense of not holding students to a high standard but specifically in the sense of being rigid and inflexible or creating a system of grading/assignments that doesn’t allow a potential to adapt where and when it’s needed. I wanna help students learn and gain something from courses I teach but I don’t want them to have to stress needlessly if they need accommodations.
