I Know Your Heart By Heart

I loved episode 07x12, but GOD, I need these two to get it together and just talk already. Please. I'm begging. Anyway, I got tired of waiting, so I wrote it myself. 🩷

“Wait, hold on,” Tim says, his voice a deep groan that rumbles against her lips and urges her on. “Lucy, stop, just for a second.”

She stills against him and begrudgingly unlatches her mouth from a spot under his ear that she knows makes him feral. “Hmm?” she asks, peering up at him with wide, innocent eyes.

“We do this now, but we talk after,” he says, his entire body tensing under Lucy’s hands, as if he’s waiting for her to deny him the conversation he’s tried to have several times over since the last time they fell into bed together.

“Tim…”

“Lucy, it’s been long enough,” he says. “We need to talk about this, about all of it.”

He runs a hand through his hair then threads the same hand through hers, clasping the back of her neck and bringing his mouth to hers in a fiercely tender kiss. When he pulls back, there’s a seriousness in his eyes that makes Lucy’s heart stutter.

He gently squeezes her neck once, “We talk. After.”

Lucy closes her eyes briefly, the weight of reality settling over her again. A moment passes, then two, and her desire for him wins out over her desire for self-preservation. Finally she agrees. “After.”
