Is amphiterra still updating? I remember there was a concept of salamanders also being in the project but it hasn't gone anywhere so far.

I’m actually unsure myself. I think the latest update was the inclusion of literal flying squids in one of the almost real zines that wasn’t immediately obvious it was part of that world until you see an arctic fraggon at the bottom of one of their pages, but I think citysaurus considers the project more or less complete or has no intention of continuing.

They do have a tumblr (citysaurus) and Twitter (BigHugeFrog) so you can ask them.

Funnily enough I think they’re a concept artist on fall guys now of all things.

I want to try doing more pieces where I can let my inking stand by itself, which is why this one ended up not being colored. This is already up in my store on plenty of products, I think it's great as kitchen décor! The black-on-grey version especially gives me "You'll buy a seventeen dollar burger here, but agree it's pretty worth it" kind of vibe. It's available in black line and white line colorways.

Have you seen @citysaurus's "Amphiterra" project? It's set in an alternate timeline where the dominant species of earth, instead of dinosaurs or mammals...were frogs. My favorites have got to be the intelligent (and adorable!) Foaming Trogglefolk, and the Catastrophic Fraggon, basically the frog version of a T. Rex. Pretty neat stuff, definitely worth a look ;)

Welcome to Creature Prompts!

I just got a huge surge of new people coming my way curtesy of @citysaurus, so I might as well show all you new people what happens on this fun blog!

My main blog is @iamthekaijuking and this is my side blog where I post prompts for organisms, but I don’t have to be the only one making the prompts because you can put your own ideas for prompts in the inbox anytime you please! Don’t worry about me stealing your ideas, because I’ll credit the person who came up with a prompt.

If you want to do a prompt, then the only rules are that it’s written, drawn, or both. Once you’ve made it be sure to list the prompt that it’s for and just put it into submissions! Your submission doesn’t have to be a creature made specifically for a prompt, and can be a creature that you’ve already made that just so happens to fit the prompt.

Frogs are basically just a big mouth to eat food and legs to fling said mouth at food. Simple but effective. On the topic of frogs, any thoughts about Amphiterra?

Also I love amphiterra! One of my favorite spec projects, and I love how the skeletal and muscular anatomy is shown for every species. I also have actually talked to citysaurus and made fanart, but that was back when here comes dat boy was a thing, so you know. Cringy teenage years.

Does it hurt seals/sea lions to do their inchworm thing to move on land? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but it looks like it would hurt, and you'd really put my worries to rest.

Nope! I mean, maybe if they were going over razor wire, but that would be about it. 

In the summer, you’ll often see yearling seals with lots of scrapes and minor wounds, and even that is okay. It’s a natural part of them learning to haul out of the water successfully and they generally do quite fine without human intervention. (I mention this because there was an incident in New England a few summers ago where a couple tried to ‘rescue’ a seal they thought had been attacked by a shark - he was just a normal, slightly battered-from-practicing-being-an-adult youngster).

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to disable the blogroll in the Pokemon theme, I don't really like everyone being able to see what blogs I follow.

Okay! There are two ways I suggest you do this:

Way 1, erase the link to it: Go into the HTML section of the Customization Page, then press ctrl+f, and in the Find Box type “” then simply delete this

POKéDEX

That will erase the “Pokedex” link and leave a space at the bottom of the link menu. Technically the pokedex/blogroll tab will still be there, but it will be invisible and inaccessible.

If you think you’ll change your mind in the future and still want the link around with out actually deleting it, you can put  “/*” before it, and “*/” after it. that makes the text not visible or work, so if you ever DO want to use the blogroll tab, just erase those two little codes and it’ll work again! :D

Way 2, change the tab to something else: With basic html codes everyone can learn, you could insert something else in it’s stead! Here’s how to do that:

Go into the HTML section of the Customization Page, then press ctrl+f, and in the Find Box type “”. Then replace

{block:Following}{block:Followed}    

{FollowedName}{/block:Followed}{/block:Following}

with whatever you want! It could be pokemon stats, a poem, more links, lil pixels, whatever! Use the link I inserted above to learn to do all that if you don’t know :)
