you literally get it i have so many thoughts on this that i’m gonna share with you! (this is gonna be based on the mv and the moodboard that i made.)

• okay first of all the long eye contact where they both meet. I’m picturing sheriff’s daughter reader working as a little assistant for her dad as there’s no way she’d ever end up in a police station. she’s definitely a goody two shoes, dressed in a pretty white blouse and a pink poodle skirt. and Dallas is being brought in cuffed by her dad and she’s just kinda like staring. she doesn’t even realise she’s doing it either till Dallas’s face stretches out into a lazy smirk and her face goes pink and she shyly looks away.

“like what you see doll?”

“leave my daughter alone you bastard” her dad’s snapping as he pushes him into a cell and she knows that she needs to see this boy again.

• till he’s bailed out they definitely sneak out behind her dad back. blowing kisses, sharing flirty remarks that leave her head spinning and throwing balls of paper to get each other attention. it’s very sweet and childish and both get a thrill out of it. dallas at corrupting the sheriff’s pretty little daughter and her at going behind her dad’s back. when he gets bailed out as he walks past her desk he whispers quietly to her that the first thing he wants to do as a free man is kiss her. and if she silently slips out the back telling her daddy that she needs some fresh air just so that she can make out with dallas winston than that’s none of your business thank you very much!

• i also feel that she very much got her head in the clouds. she’s not ditsy she’s very good in school and all that but her street smarts are rubbish so she kinda goes along with everything till it’s too late. like you know the scene in the restaurant in the mv where the fight breaks out. i’m picturing a similar situation at one of buck’s parties. and she’s completely unaware of what’s going on till dallas is beating a guy up and she’s kinda like “oh!”

• omg and can we talk about the scene where he like flinches as she touches his bruise that’s so dallas and soc! reader coded. he always sneaks in her bedroom with cuts and bruises that she’s always scared are gonna spill blood onto her pretty floral bedsheets and her dad will see. she happily patches them up though and 9 times out of 10 it ends in them making out.

• and they definitely argue about the fights he gets into. because she’s petrified that he’s gonna end up in prison for life or worse dead. he always manages to sweet talk her about of any fight though. because despite it all she can never leave him. they’re not toxic but they’re both definitely too obsessed with each other in some ways.

• and okay i feel like i’m gonna get told of by some minors can’t write smut purist accounts if i talk about the ending but like use your imagination. she definitely looses her temper with him once and does something like that and it’s out of character and so hot he’s stuck thinking about it for weeks 🫣

i might write a fic based on this mv at some point because it’s just so perfect but i feel like i need a little nickname for her because soc!reader isn’t that cute a tag for my page

- would drive around town together. in the musical script it mentions cherry with her head out the window, enjoying the breeze as she rolls up to the drive in. i think she would have the time of her LIFE. with sodapop and his car. sticking her head out the window, letting the cold breeze blow her hair wild — causing it to look almost like fire in the night sky. sodapop would die for her ong hes in absolute awe. its a miracle he didnt crash with how often he looks away from the road when she’s like this.

- sodapop and cherry would go horseback riding together. cherry — who does barrel racing, and sodapop — who’s been tending to horses since he was a kid, head off to the rodeos together. sodapop makes sure to keep the girl close by his side, normally with a hand around her waist or by wrapping his arms around her neck/upper body from behind. i imagine if they were to get married and live together they would get stables and a horse or two.

- cherry would get soda some super expensive gift for christmas and he’d give her a handmade card because its all he can afford… (jk)

- i could see her being his tutor when they were in middle school

- sodapop the typa guy to ask his girlfriend (cherry) to do her skin care routine on him. she turns it into a spa day where he’s pampered and taken care of all for him to fall asleep as shes applying a thick mask to his face. his hair is pushed back with like her fluffy bear headband and hes just like “honnnnkk, mimimi” in her lap.

- cherry was never really big on physical touch. sodapop, however, it’s all he’s ever known. he’s not good with words or articulating his thoughts. it’s difficult. like the words in his head get jumbled up and stuck in his throat as he starts stuttering or stumbling over every syllable — feeling as if no amount of words could ever describe how he feels. instead, he expresses that through touch. constantly hanging off cherry, keeping her hand tucked in his, holding her and stroking through her long red hair as she lays on top of him, laying on top of *her.* wishing he could crawl into her skin and just absorb all of her warmth, feel every part of her skin on his. his love shows no boundaries. slowly but surely, he’s coaxing the girl into physical touch. she finds herself missing the arm around her waist when he’s gone, or the feeling of his chin pressed against her shoulder — a soft peck placed on her cheek.

- the first time cherry visited the DX for gas was when she was DESPERATE. she would never go to the east side for anything, but she just so happened to be cruising by on a low tank. she knew who sodapop was, since he was regarded as “the dropout” around town but had never really met or seen him. maybe once or twice passing in the hallways, but nothing she could recall. however. this was the first time they officially met. she was expecting someone like dallas winston to be pumping her gas, so she entered with a stern face and tone of voice, bracing herself. however, when this handsome, subtly clean-cut looking boy hopped out from underneath a car and scurried over to her [tripping but catching himself (something he does NOT like to be brought up)] and greeted her with a toothy grin and “howdy,” she immediately felt guilty. they talked for a bit before another car pulled up, and by the end she was completely flustered and batting her eyelashes at him like a fool.

- cherry feels secure with sodapop knowing he doesn’t drink or really do any drugs (besides the occasional cigarette every once in a while, but he made sure to explain to her it was just to look “tuff.”) knows she doesnt have to worry about him acting all floozy and embarassing himself — or be afraid of an angry outburst.

- sodapop can NOT stop fidgeting. it’s terrible… and he honestly uses cherry as if she were a fidget toy at times. he would be like squeezing her cheeks, pinching the tips of her fingers, wiggling them back and forth, flopping her wrist, tracing up her arm, like legit would draw one line all around her face its crazy. they’re just laying down (supposed to be watching a movie) and he’s just got his head propped up on one hand on his side. using a finger to trace from her nose to her eyebrows and so on. shes just like “hon…. what are you doing….” “‘m just lookin’ at how pretty you are.” “looking or feeling?” “….both.”

- sodapop is SO infatuated by her hair. like he can’t get over how red and long it is and how it looks perfectly styled, even after she just woke up. makes sure to tell her all the time (words of affirmation def one of his giving love languages, cherry recieving due to the lack of praise she recieved from her parents + bob). loves touching it because it’s just so… soft? honestly he paws at it and ruffles it up to tease her. which she swats at him like an angry cat.

- honestly afraid of how much he loves her. because of sandy and that one unnamed soc girl in the musical. but he knows he has nothing to worry about because it’s *her*.

- would be absolutely in love with her cat, Kitty. actually gets so distracted when she’s around

- rip curtis parents you would have LOVED. cherry valance. mrs curtis would always pick on sodapop and be like “how did’ya manage to get such a lovely lady with table manners ‘nd everythin’, but you ain’t even able to wipe your mouth with a napkin!” she giggles softly and he just looks up like “huh 😮”. also i think cherry would have felt so uncomfortable the first time meeting them. shes never been in a home so kind warm and loving. where everyone is intertwined and connected. i think she would have cried to soda that night, and that would be when she told him about her home life. he held her and just let her cry, comforting her as much as she needed.

Dallas went to the “if he’s mean that means he likes you” school of ‘flirting’. So him being somewhat more rough house heavy with Johnny over anyone else is him trying to be affectionate. (I hope I don’t have to clarify this ‘mean’ isn’t genuine and different from his actual- ok.)

Sort of an open secret to the rest of the gang apart from ponyboy. That being no outwardly addressing anything or hiding more than usual. Everyone minds their own business- apart from pony being a little oblivious (for crying out loud it took them dying for him to be like oh.)

Dallas helped Johnny make plans to run away before. They never go anywhere but he’d prefer him getting out to him getting hurt or offing himself. In the end Johnny always stays, either for himself, the gang or Dally but if he was ever serious about it he’d be helped in a heart beat (might be a fic)

Proximity. Sometimes it’s enough to be in the same area, sometimes they’ll be like— you know how dogs like sleep in a pile? Like that.

Both of them are very dog coded to me for different reasons and that might be a post in itself but — Dally loves in the way a guard dog loves.

recently, at the young women’s leadership summit in dallas, charlie kirk told a 14 year old girl who was asking him about the merits of attending college if your eventual goal is to be in the field of politics/political science that she should go to college to get her ‘MRS’ degree. for anyone unfamiliar, the term ‘MRS’ degree was widely used in the 1950s and 1960s when higher education was finally made more available to women but social and cultural norms were pressing the nuclear family and housewife agenda. a woman seeking an ‘MRS’ degree is one who goes to college just to find a husband while she’s there. the goal of her education is not considered professional or academic. because why would a woman seek out higher education for any other reason?

don’t make me fucking sick. i did a report on a francis fukuyama book in high school where my focus was on the social revolution started by the wide availability of birth control, and how it allowed women to reclaim educational and economic autonomy. that was when i first came across the term ‘MRS’ degree and i remember thinking it was such a stupid relic of the near past. how dare they attempt to bring this shit back into the mainstream. now??? now when women make up the MAJORITY of the incoming freshman class at american post-secondary institutions?

i knew the tradwife trends were insidious, but i could not imagine that i would be scrolling on tiktok and have the words “go for the MRS degree” pop up in 2025. the people who need to hear this will never see this but just in the case that there are people who want to hear this: study. get excellent in your field. be the top of your discipline. save lives. find and research things no one has ever thought of before. code solutions to the everyday problems. build sustainable infrastructure. keep learning, and teach the people who come your way. and fuck anyone who thinks a woman isn’t capable of this, or shouldn’t have lofty goals.

abstract: Judeeee, how are you doing??? Things are moving, even me and Simon, we're getting closer, what could go wrong? Spending this much time together, it's almost like we're a thing now. And who would have thought really, things change so fast and when you least expect it!

She had ballet, that was why she was looking at the time on her phone, she was late. Simon knew cause he went to see her, I'm not even gonna lie and pretend like he wasn't already planning on speaking to her. He knew where to find her, because, again, he knew her. He missed her. For the Al-Jareena mission he felt like he had access to her knowledge and her theories before the others, like he was, well, special. They spoke about it several times on several different occasions, and he liked it. He liked she knew what she was talking about, he liked she gave him her opinions on conflicts and politics. It wasn't the same with this, he hardly ever saw her anymore. He guessed she was busy with her counselling sessions, and ballet. When he saw her in the listening post room he really started to understand how hard that listening task was. Maybe she was tired, did she need help with the dog? He would have helped if he knew she was struggling. Maybe she had someone else helping her, that was the thing. He missed knowing what her days looked like, he missed hearing her voice and listening to her stories. His teammates struggled to leave him alone after finding out he knew her real name. He felt bad he told them, he felt like a complete idiot.

They left the listening post room after that briefing they had and went back to the hangar, they kept asking why him. Why did she choose him to disclose her identity to? And it almost amused him really, they were joking that he wasn't the type to get friendly with strangers, Gaz had confessed he asked her name multiple times and he was annoyed she never told him. He almost smiled at the thought under his mask. He started to feel good about himself, now that they were really making him think about the situation in that perspective. She chose him. If they only knew, he thought. We went to dinner, she told me all her theories and speculations, we walked her dog, we went out for New Years, we ate meals together, I have seen her dance, I know many things about her, not just her name. I saw her dressed in a leotard and tights, in her comfy sweatpants, with a skirt on for New Years, with jeans and a blouse, I saw her hair in a bun, falling on her shoulders, I saw her with glittery eye makeup, I saw her without make up even… That was why he decided to look for her one more time. In some way, he felt like she would have been happy to see him, no? Plus, he had a present for her.

'It was good, believe me. We're done'. She sat down on the floor in front of Blake, her dance partner. She was panting, her right foot probably bleeding. She looked up at him, 'We can try one more time, I can lower my arms faster…' He chucked at her attempt to control her breath and speak up. 'It was good, Alba, don't worry.' She felt like crying, again. She stretched out her leg, and massaged her aching muscles. 'We can move to another choreo next week. I'm sick of Arabian anyway.' He started to pack up his bag in the corner, they made small talk about the kids she was teaching. She stayed on the floor, stretching. Hands pressed to her chest, she looked at him in complete shock, her chest raising rapidly. 'For fuck's sake! You need to stop this, what is wrong with you?' Her eyes wide, she took a step back from him. He smiled. 'Sorry.' He said. 'Ma che cazzo…' she mumbled. It was getting almost repetitive, seeing him at the ballet school. He had been so many times he looked like he knew her hours almost. He nodded. Silence filled the room. She felt goosebumps on her arms, she realised how cold the room was cause she stopped dancing and she was sweaty.

'…so you're the princess?'

She smiled. It was the most genuine smile she ever gave him.

'I am the Arabian Coffee Princess…' she revealed in a soft tone, putting one leg behind the other, '…and Snow Queen.'

'Aah, princess and queen…' he nodded. She could see the wrinkles around his eyes. He was smiling. She bit the inside of her cheek awkwardly.

'A senior dancer got injured, so I'm covering her roles.' She explained.

'I thought you were a teacher.' She moved to the other side of the room, where her bag was sitting. He took a glance at the mirrors that were covering the entire wall on his right. He looked terribly out of place, black sweater, jeans, a heavy jacket, black mask. The fact that he wasn't wearing any shoes made him look human, like he was just a guy in his socks. He felt like his presence darkened the room. She, on the other side of the room, was barely dressed. She was putting on a black wrap top, maybe she was getting cold. She bent down to reach for it in her bag, exposing him to the back of her legs, her hamstrings stretching at the motion. He tried to look away. 'I'm dancing as well this year', she was saying. He had to pretend like he wasn't staring at her chest, while she was fixing the sweater on her waist. Maybe that was why he always visited her at ballet, to catch her when she was wearing little to no clothes. He could see her tattoos, he could memorise them. He could see the colour of her skin through the fabric of the tights. He could see her figure, her hips, her arms and legs now that they weren't hidden by jeans. She was small, she looked defenceless. 'When's the show?' He asked. She was still busy with her bag, she was turned to the side, he let his gaze travel down her spine to her ass. She said it was in March. 'How much are the tickets?' He kept going, but to that question she raised her eyes at him. She was flustered after rehearsals and her cheeks were a pretty rose colour he wanted to have imprinted in his mind. She looked at him like a deer in headlights. 'Uhm… 20$ I think.' Her tone of voice was gentle and polite, sweet like honey. 20$ wasn't that much. March she had said, he was probably free. He could go see her. Maybe. At the theatre, or wherever.

'So, why are you here?' She changed the subject, akwardly.

He blinked a few times, trying to find an appropriate answer.

'I have something for you.'

She tilted her head to the side, her chest tightening. She let go of the fabric of the sweater to push her hair behind her ears. He reached behind his back, he had a backpack which she hadn't noticed. It wasn't full, probably carrying something small. She watched him open it and pull out a single envelope. Is it a present, is it a letter? She took a step towards him. 'I thought you wanted to see it before everyone else.' She narrowed her eyes, taking the envelope he was handing her. They were standing closer, he slightly bent foreword to look at her confused expression. He let his gaze travel on her body, now that she was this close. Her fingers, fiddling with the paper. Her collarbones, the fabric of the leotard on her chest. Her ribcage moving at each breath she took. He looked at the was she was gently swaying from side to side, pointe shoes at her feet, tiny ribbons adorning her calves. She let out a gasp when she realised what she was looking at, making him focus back on her face. She raised her head, her wide eyes finding his. 'Is this the original?' She asked, whispering almost like it was a secret. He nodded, amused at her reaction. 'We received it thirty minutes ago.' He kept his tone as soft as he could, he sounded like he was talking to a child. 'Wait…' she took a step back, to relieve her neck from having to look up at him, '… fingerprints, DNA…' God, you are so so so smart, Alba. You always think about everything, this is why Laswell likes you, I get it now. He smirked under his mask, even if she couldn't see him. 'Already covered it, you can touch it.'

She smiled. It was the code they heard about thought Madison, the secret code from Serbia. Apparently, they all received this paper message and the two undercover agents were able to send them one of the copies full of details, fingerprints, DNA. And, most importantly, the infamous code. 'Am I the first one to see this?' She asked, he nodded. He felt weird, he had felt nervous from the moment he decided to sneak off base with classified evidence to bring her. It wasn't exactly legal, and Price was gonna be pissed, he had probably found out already. And he knew by now, when he went missing it was probably cause he was with Alba. Seeing her like this, however… It made it worth it. His heart was beating at a way faster pace he had ever experienced during any mission. 'I thought…' he thought about the correct way of phrasing that, well, he had stole that key piece of evidence from the lab to have her look at it before the others. 'I thought you… maybe wanted to have a look at it before your colleagues?'

She let her mouth fall open and covered it with her palm. 'You stole this?' she whispered. She was smiling, her eyes glistening. 'I borrowed it.' He replied, his tone low and muffled by the mask. The things I would do for you... Before he knew it, he was sat down on the shiny floor of the room, legs crossed in front of him. She was sitting beside him, still in her pretty ballet outfit, her legs gracefully bent to the side. She placed the paper in front of them. The message itself, at first glance, could look like a group of letters. An anagram, at best.

B, A, C, V, K, O, C…

She counted the letters, 7 columns, 9 lines. A total of 63. The letters were cut out of a news paper, each individually placed in perfect line with each other. All different sizes, all different fonts, some capital letters, some not. They got to work, in the corner of the room. She handed him a blank sheet of paper, she had a notebook for her choreos, and a pen from her bag. She instructed him to write down the capital letters. 'A… K… L, then…uhm…' her eyes were moving on the code, scanning for details, anything that could make sense. 'E, right here.' He pointed out, and she resumed her task. 'E, S…' They looked for a secret message in the uppercase letters, but with no luck. 'Read it backwards.' He suggested, ready to write the message from the end to the top. He was strangely getting into this investigative task. Especially because he was doing it with her at his side. The letters didn't form a phrase when read backwards. She suggested they read them in diagonal lines, the clever girl you are, Alba. He sighed with his paper full of letters and weird scriptures. She had stretched her legs in front of her and was letting out a yawn. He thought he'd ask her to go, since it was late and she probably had work in the morning. 'Honey would have figured it out by now', she commented. He scoffed, 'Is Honey the one with glasses or the one that looks like a rat?' She scoffed, a tilted smile. 'Roman doesn't look like a rat.'

'Whot, you like him or something?'

He registered what he said and it was too late to bite his tongue. That came out wrong. She smiled, her look fierce and proud, like she had figured out the real reason why he was there. Cause he liked her. Really much. So, did she like someone else?

'Would you have a problem with that?' She teased. Her voice was low, it travelled on his skin like warm water, it bathed him and made it impossible for him to look away from her eyes.

'It's not my business.' He was able to breath out.

She bit her lip, not happy with his answer, and debated asking him to be more precise. She looked at the strings of his sweater, against his chest. She looked at the skin of his neck, smooth and glowing under the cold lights of the room. He was pale. She looked at his thighs, the fabric of his jeans tight around his hips. His hands, one of them was fidgeting with the letter 'S' on the paper. She got closer, brushing his hand away with her own. 'Don't do that…' she urged him not to ruin the character glued to the paper. A small part of it was starting to come off. Peel off. She raised her eyes to meet his gaze, his blonde eyelashes fluttering slightly at how close she had gotten when touching his hand. He had to remind himself to breathe, her face being so close, he could reach for her cheek, he could fix her hair out of her face.

'Maybe it is', she murmured, 'You're the one sitting here with me after all…' her eyes travelled on his features, exploring the skin of his forehead, adorned with a white scar on the right side, his eyes, a deep chocolate blue. 'Why are you here, Simon?' She repeated. He felt shivers down his spine, tingles though his whole body. Did she want him to confess? He came to see her cause he wanted to, and what was gonna be her reaction to that? She was gonna think he was being creepy? Would she reject him? He stayed silent, his breathing getting heavier, his eyes locked in with her own.

'I think we should go, it's getting late', she interrupted the racing of his mind. He fucked up the moment. Again.

He got up while she put shoes on, he mumbled something about bringing the envelope to the listening post to analyse. 'Have you eaten?' He asked, he was fixing his jeans, she got her bag on her shoulder. 'Uhm… I'll eat at home, I have to take Jinx out for a walk.' There it was, rejection. He felt sorry for himself, but what was he expecting? A romantic affaire with the pretty therapist everyone liked? Please… 'Don't be too late.' He commented. She stood by the side of her car, watching him leave with his head down.

'Simon.' She called. He stopped, she didn't even need to raise her voice for him to turn around, looking at her like a lost puppy. 'I'll see you tomorrow at work, yeah?' She tilted her head, a sincere smile.

'Sure, Alba.'

good question anon 💚 i've actually only been to texas twice in my life (first time for cota in 2023, second time at the start of 2024 to watch stars games in dallas 🥰 got to experience the beauty of h-e-b and 3L coke bottles but i still haven't been to BUC-EES which is my real dream...)

anyway i think finding a team can happen via many random and organic means!!! tmi but i did grow up a shorks fan + my dad being québécois followed the habs in his youth, so i have residual fondness for both teams (monty is actually my fav goalie... my babieeee), and i've been in hockey fandom for way too long that i've cycled through many a blog in this fandomsphere. i actually used to run hockeyofcolor with oomfs and would make copious amounts of MCDAVID gifsets... oh to be 16 again.

ok sorry for getting off-track but to answer your question, a large part of it was getting into robo! the sharks are also somewhat intrinsically tied to the stars and when i was following the team in their prime obviously pavs was a huge, integral part of the roster, and the way he was dumped to make room for k*ne of all players left a terrible taste in my mouth, so i just thought that the narrative of our top line (robo, roop, pavs — all 2nd round or later picks) was so delicious given their respective draft stocks and how they blossomed into such a well-oiled offensive machine despite the deficits of bones d&c hockey and pavs previously being written off as past his prime. i do really like "unassuming" players who are undervalued and become analytical outliers capable of outsmarting their physical limitations, and robo is suchhh a wonderful example of that (play smart not hard, also people don't really expect him to be able to Pound Da Focking Body even though he's 6'3 which is always hilarious. but he has really high hockey IQ and is inevitable BECAUSE he understands positioning and can read plays so well). robo is also really inspiring to me because he's #wasian #filipino #californian princess and it's just sweet to see an asian player thrive at that level. also loveee that he's noted normal guy with high school sweetheart recent law school graduate gf lame as hell loves the game ipad baby goalie obsessed Polite Cat literally the most oscar piastri coded hockey player OAT

there's also a really strong familial bond across the team in the most embarrassing like "why are YOU crafting father-son narratives with a guy who's 2 years younger than you" way and the amount of times we've traded for an Infamous Locker Room Menace only for him to immediately be rehabilitated by the power of love and selfless sacrifice on our team as if they're in a The Dodo hopecore rescue video is ridiculous 😭 we've lost some precious pieces in the past few seasons and i've been really nervous about robo trade rumors but there's so much LOVE on this team and we have such fun dynamics from the finnish mafia clique to robo noted goaliefucker to pavs taking johnny in and wedge taking harls in and the baby rookies living in each other's pockets... T__T "a little less for a lot more" = being our playoff slogan aka sacrifice personal glory for the end goal is really how mclaren plays the team game too and even though WE'VE fallen short in the wcf continuously it's sweet to see the buy-in into that vision.

Everything Has Changed

Taylor told Digital Spy: "It's about falling in love. It's about meeting someone and all of a sudden your entire perspective on the world changes - you're thinking for two, instead of one." It was written the week starting 20 May 2012, after Harry arrived in LA.

The scene where the class is watching a move these are scenes of Paris, a hint toward Begin Again and Paris being special to Harry and Taylor. Eiffel Tower, Pont Alexandre III - Bridge over the Seine appear.

The school play scene is reminiscent of Harry's actual first performance in a school play when he was 6, Harry also recreated part of this in the Daylight Music Video.

This secret message is often thought to indicate Conor Kennedy, However Taylor met Connor 4 July 2012, 2 months after the song was recorded. Taylor owned the house in Hyannis Port house from August 2012 - March 2013, she was dating Harry for almost all of that time. As in Alex and Sierra's I Love You and August they spent time there.

Butterflies - while butterflies were key in the artwork for Lover and appear in spotify canvases for it, Taylor only refers to them twice - in this song and Clean. On Monday, United States prosecutors in Sacramento, California, unveiled a 15-count indictment accusing Dallas Erin Humber, 34, and Matthew Robert Allison, 37, of serving as core members of a virulent neo-Nazi propaganda network that solicited attacks on federal officials, power infrastructure, people of color, and material support for acts of terrorism both within the US and overseas.

The group, known as the Terrorgram Collective, has produced four publications to date—a blend of ideological motivation, mass murder worship, neofascist indoctrination, and how-to manuals for chemical weapons attacks, infrastructure sabotage, and ethnic cleansing. The screeds have directly inspired a series of ideologically motivated attacks around the world, including a 2022 mass shooting at an LGBTQ bar in Bratislava, Slovakia; successful attacks on power infrastructure in North Carolina and similar failed plots in Baltimore and New Jersey; and a stabbing spree in the Turkish city of Eskisehir.

Federal prosecutors allege Humber, Allison, and other Terrorgram Collective members were in the process of compiling a fifth, yet-to-be-released publication devoted to a pantheon of “saints”—neofascist mass murderers like Timothy McVeigh and Anders Breivik. The point of this guide, prosecutors claim, was to “inspire Terrorgram users to commit acts of violence.”

Humber and Allison were both federal targets as early as early 2023, but authorities appear to have waited for a year and a half to compile evidence of potential attacks around the world, and for the British government’s decision this April to formally ban the Terrorgram Collective, before filing an indictment that could land the defendants in prison for more than two centuries. To date, American authorities have charged at least four individuals allegedly involved in the Terrorgram Collective with terrorism-related offenses.

While the arrests are not the first targeting the Terrorgram Collective—Slovakian Pavol “SlovakBro” Beňadik and former Atomwaffen Division founder Brandon Russell hold that honor—the charges against Humber and Allison represent a major change from how the FBI and US Department of Justice approach diffuse “accelerationist” terrorism—the nihilist brand of neofascism that seeks to speed up societal collapse and the ascent of a Fourth Reich through mass shootings, bombings, and other acts of terrorism by “lone wolf” actors. Relying on the UK government’s April order declaring the Terrorgram Collective a banned terrorist group and a little-employed section of the “material support for terrorism” section of the US criminal code, federal prosecutors are finally taking an aggressive, whole-of-law approach to violent neofascist extremism.

“What it shows is exactly what I’ve been arguing for years: All the tools they need to do this work, they have,” says Michael German, a former FBI special agent and a liberty and national security fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, an NYU School of Law nonprofit. German points to years of arguments by the FBI and Department of Justice that they are hamstrung by existing laws when it comes to tackling violent extremists within the United States. “It also reveals the false separation that the government makes about international and domestic terrorism—white supremacy has always been transnational.”

In 2018, German coauthored a study of federal domestic terrorism prosecutions that argued existing laws were sufficient to tackle domestic terrorism, pointing to a particular statute used to charge Humber and Allison with material support. “It’s the material support statute the DOJ forgot,” says German.

The UK’s order against the Terrorgram Collective provided American authorities a basis for labeling a diffusive, ostensibly domestic propaganda group as a “transnational terrorist organization” in a detention motion filed on Tuesday, potentially opening Humber and Allison up to deleterious additional charges and sentencing enhancements. In other words, the US is treating Terrorgram in ways similar to how it has treated Islamist terrorist organizations.

“I would think of this case more like an old-school terrorism investigation, where you have a leadership cell that pushed info to followers and radicalized them into action,” says Seamus Hughes, a terrorism researcher at the University of Nebraska Omaha, of the indictment’s allegations against Humber and Allison.

The role of undercover agents in at least two of the Terrorgram federal prosecutions, the DOJ’s repeated citation of the group’s outlawed status in Great Britain as basis for labeling it a transnational terrorism organization, and the alleged targeting of power infrastructure by participants in the propaganda network, Hughes says, all point to US law enforcement taking a new approach to tackling violent right-wing extremism.

“The vast majority of material support cases are jihadi, but right here, they [allegedly] inspired an individual to plot an attack against a power plant,” he adds. “That’s critical infrastructure and is the lynchpin for the material support of terrorism charge.”

The power infrastructure plot Hughes references is the case of Andrew Takhistov, an 18-year-old New Jersey man charged in July with soliciting another individual to attack energy facilities. Court documents describe Tahkistov as a virulently hateful young man who fantasized about attacking a synagogue and participated in a March 2024 demonstration by an Atlantic City–based “active club” in support of jailed neo-Nazi leader Robert Rundo, was ever-present in the Terrogram Collective’s Telegram channels.

Along with allegedly circulating propaganda from the Terrorgram Collective and urging lone-wolf attacks, the feds claim in court records that Tahkistov bragged about participating in the production of the group’s “Hard Reset” publication, describing it as “the perfect starting guide” for a lone-wolf terrorist. “It has ideology, it has how-to guides, it has ideas for funny things, it goes into how you should plan it, it goes into the thought process,” Takhistov allegedly told an undercover FBI agent with whom he plotted the erstwhile attack on power stations near North Brunswick and New Brunswick, New Jersey.

These details were included in Tahkistov’s indictment, which also outlined his alleged plans to travel to Russia and join the Russian Volunteer Corps, a neo-Nazi combat battalion fighting for the Ukrainian military, which was founded by Denis Kapustin, an Azov Movement–connected extremist who tried to help Rundo flee the US in 2018, in order to gain weapons expertise and military training that would allow him to carry out more effective acts of ideologically motivated terrorism once back in the United States.

Takhistov is in custody and will next appear in court on October 9. He has pleaded not guilty.

Humber and Allison are longtime radicals. Humber’s radicalization appeared to start decades ago, per a report by extremism researchers at Left Coast Right Watch. Research obtained by this reporter shows Humber ran more than two dozen extreme right-wing propaganda channels on Telegram, which circulated the Terrorgram Collective’s material as well as other accelerationist content.

In recent years, aside from narrating audio books of neofascist manifestos and propaganda tracts, Humber also corresponded with convicted domestic terrorist Dylann Roof and with Atomwaffen Division founder Brandon Russell, who ended up joining their collective. “There’s no quitting our worldview. It’s a lifelong commitment,” Humber allegedly told Russell in a recorded jailhouse call following the latter’s arrest in February 2023. Her participation in the network, according to a March 15, 2022, Telegram post included in court filings by prosecutors, was to mold potential terrorists for action. “No military is fighting for us. No govt is protecting our people and defending our interests. The ONLY people fighting for us are lone wolves,” Humber wrote, in reference to a teenager she was trying to indoctrinate. “He’s like 18 yo and seems very impressionable, I’m trying to radicalize him.”

When the FBI raided Humber’s Elk Grove home last week, they recovered reams of Nazi propaganda, 3D-printed firearms—including a homemade AR-15 pattern rifle—a short-barreled rifle, a 3D printer, unregistered handguns, and high-capacity magazines, which remain illegal in California. She remains held without bail.

Allison, who was born in Southern California, lives in a high-end apartment building in downtown Boise, Idaho, and, according to court documents, does not hold a steady job. He doesn’t appear to have a criminal record, aside from a June 2022 misdemeanor. There are very few traces of Allison online, but details cobbled together by researchers indicate he drifted steadily to the right from 2018 onward, starting with the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s content and then moving steadily in the direction of Timothy McVeigh, The Order founder Robert Jay Mathews, and finally, the skull-masked, nihilistic neofascism popularized by the Atomwaffen Division at the end of the last decade.

Under the alias “BanThisChannel,” Allison was one of the most prolific disseminators of Terrorgram’s propaganda materials and was prolific in extreme-right-wing Telegram channels, commiserating with other SoCal skinheads about racial attacks in days gone by and connecting other individuals to militant groups like the Atomwaffen Division. Research obtained by this reporter indicates he worked part-time as a video producer and was the editor who compiled a number of “sizzle reels” for the Terrorgram Collective’s propaganda output online, including a set entitled “The BTC Movie Trilogy” that Takhistov sought out for inspiration.

Nineteen-year-old Slovakian teenager Juraj Krajčík, the perpetrator of the 2022 Bratislava massacre, was in extensive contact with Humber and Allison for at least a year prior to the attack, and sent his manifesto to Allison after he carried out his mass murder, which explicitly cited Terrorgram Collective publications and thanked the group for inspiring him to act. Allison then circulated the manifesto through the group’s Telegram channels. The group proceeded to claim Krajčík as “their first saint.”

Allison’s commitment to neofascism and white supremacy appears to have run deep—“I won’t quit til I’m dead. my only goal in life is to fucking destroy the enemy,” Allison declared in a Telegram post cited by federal prosecutors. Both he and Humber, according to a government detention motion, sought to identify the informant in Brandon Russell’s criminal case. Allison advocated adding the suspected snitch to “The List” (a collection of federal officials, journalists, businessmen, and other perceived enemies circulated by the Terrorgram Collective as potential assassination targets), while Humber allegedly told Russell in a recorded jailhouse call in August 2023 that she had photographs of the suspected informant and was running them through facial recognition software.

When Allison was arrested last week, authorities say, he had a backpack loaded with what appeared to be a “bug-out kit” comprised of zip ties, a gun, duct tape, ammunition, a knife, lockpicking tools, two phones, and a thumb drive. When law enforcement searched his apartment, they turned up an assault rifle, two laptops, an external hard drive, and another “go bag” containing $1,500 in cash, clothes, a passport, ziplock bags full of pills, ammunition, a skull mask balaclava, sim cards, and a birth certificate.

In a videotaped interview following his arrest, Allison allegedly confessed to his participation in the Terrorgram Collective and “engaging in acts alleged in the General Allegations of the Indictment.”

Law enforcement consider Humber and Allison threats to their community, and to authorities as well: Humber allegedly worked with Russell to try to identify a suspected government witness in the Atomwaffen Division founder’s current criminal case in Baltimore, according to recorded jailhouse phone calls. Witnesses in Russell’s upcoming trial this November will testify in a closed courtroom to avoid being identified, a highly unusual precaution. In a sealing motion, prosecutors state that not only are additional arrests of Terrogram Collective members likely, but the group’s membership poses a severe danger to law enforcement and cooperating witnesses alike: “Defendants' many associates, both in the United States and internationally, may seek to harm perceived law enforcement or law enforcement cooperators in retribution for their role in this investigation.”

Allison is currently detained without bail and is set to appear in federal court in Boise on September 18 for a detention hearing.

The volume of evidence laid out against Humber and Allison in both the indictment and detention motion, says Hughes, shows the feds have significantly altered their approach to both far-right terrorism and particularly "lone wolf" accelerationists who have perpetrated massacres ranging from Christchurch in 2019 to Buffalo in 2022.

“When they go further than they have in the past to lay out the transnational connections and overlay a material support charge, it shows that either the feds are trying to make a point, or they were very concerned about these particular actors,” Hughes says.

Senior attorneys from the DOJ’s Civil Rights and National Security divisions are listed on the court filings in this matter, another indication that the top ranks of the Biden administration’s Justice Department called the shots on the Terrorgram Collective investigation.

“To build a case in this fashion is a decision that gets made at Main Justice,” Hughes says. “Someone high up decided to sign off on this.”

High school e memory unlocked: During English class two boys in my class had a debate and they got a few others to bet on who would win. The loser would have to wear the winner’s girlfriend dress.
