I've got too many games I want to play and not enough free time 😭 I still need to finish my BG3 playthrough but since Endless Ocean: Luminous came out I've been playing a lot of that instead. Also just got back into Wizard101 last night. Started playing House Flipper again last weekend. Still need to finish BOTW so I can start a TOTK playthrough and finish Pokemon Shield so I can start on Pokemon Violet. I've been fighting off the urge to start up a new Skyrim playthrough for weeks. My brother just told me that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is getting ported to the Switch. And now I'm suddenly feeling inspired to replay DAI... And throughout all of this I'm also playing the hell out of DragonVale on my phone. Someone just pay me to play video games all day please
asdfsdf I apologies for the low activity the past few days/weeks, I've been struggling mentally quite a lot due to my neighbor situation, my computer breaking down once + failing several exams in a row so uhm…. yeah
dw tho I will be back to complete art once I feel better, I just have A LOT going on atm and need to figure out how to solve all of it 😔
Regarding commission slots I might need to wait with opening them until summer instead since life has decided that throwing shit at me is it's new favorite hobby lmao 💀
but I will let you all know for sure once I'm available, I just don't want to take on anything and then have ppl wait bc I have to prioritize other things irl 😔
John and Paul writing Ob-La-Di in India | Photos by Paul Saltzman
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da was born on the steps of one of the low slung cottages where the entourage lived.
One day, remembers Saltzman, he was passing by the cottage when he saw Lennon and McCartney sitting on the front steps and strumming the tune on their acoustic guitars.
He ran back, picked up the camera and took pictures of the two with a pensive-looking Starr sitting on the side, from outside a wicket gate.
Saltzman remembers the two were singing the first two lines of the song "over and over again, going fast and slow, having fun". "That's the riff we have," McCartney told Saltzman, "but no words yet". [x]
Whoever decided dates were going to be machine readable & encoded Like That, thereby making everything before the year 1900 a crapshoot to get aligned with ISO standards, especially when I'm stuck working with excel and csvs. I hate you and I am biting you (DEROGATORY)
Also ume how are u a linguist as well as a programmer
I mean aren't these two from two different streams?
Shed some light🗿

ume fjkghkjdfhgk
programmer (in progress) bc im self learning python
and there is a branch in linguistics called computational linguistics that merges linguistics and computer science! im trying to juggle the two and hoping to find a spot there but who knows man
one of the biggest ironies of my life that i was thinking about yesterday - i know that drag and drop / node-based 'coding' helps a wider (usually more visual) variety of brain types learn to program. this was the entire basis of the research group i was on for seven years in the burgh, and i completely agree with and support it. but im not that way at ALL. im that stereotype who likes pure code, and finds it easier to read the language and find patterns in the words/numbers/formatted lines than in nodes. i HATE nodes, and sometimes even fellow programmers look at me like im crazy for it.
Like dont give me that pretty but controlled interface, i want to know whats underneath.
Hewo,,,,I was wondering if you had any writings tips! Where did you learn your craft? Do you have a favourite author?
Ooh man, my answers to this are probably gonna be kinda disappointing ghfgd. I’m pretty much entirely self taught for fun and I don’t read as much as I wish I did nowadays. I like to try and match the way I write to the time period the scene’s setting is closest to. So a lot of my stuff ends up sounding flowery and old fashioned.
I’ve been wanting to find the time to start reading more because that’s one of the best ways to refine how you write, seeing what other people are doing. But for now, what I do is just look back at things I wrote a while ago and pick apart what I like and don’t like about it and what I wanna do with that in the future. It’s easier once you get some distance from something to look at it objectively.
I’m honored you’d think to ask but I’m truly the worst person to give tips bc I barely know what im doing gjfgd. I feel confident in writing character scenes with heightened intense emotions but everything else is a bit of a struggle. And I’m not even sure how to put into words what my process is even for the stuff I’m confident with.
