Celebrating 3 Years of #SaveSoil!

The Save Soil Movement is a global initiative launched in 2022 to address soil degradation and promote sustainable agriculture. Led by Sadhguru and supported by the Conscious Planet organization, the movement aims to increase organic content in soil to at least 3% to ensure food security, biodiversity, and climate resilience. Sadhguru undertook a 100-day, 30,000 km motorcycle journey across 27 nations to raise awareness.

The campaign has garnered support from governments, environmental organizations, and millions of individuals worldwide, influencing soil-friendly policies in multiple countries and inspiring global action toward soil health restoration. Through digital and mass media, as well as on-ground activities, the Save Soil message has reached over 4.1 billion people.

Soil is our body . We are made up of soil . Soil since we were born till we die . According to research our future generation will suffer a large amount if our soil is not taken care of now . Farmers and those who have agriculture play a role in their lives should not be suffocated . It is predicted that somewher within the year of 2025 to 2030 , India would face dangerous amount of shortage of water ( it does not take too long to reach the rest of the world ) . As to not be selfish and care of only your present years , become an Earth buddy for free with very easy steps . Starting with a quote really helps. Today, we all are living at the tip of the second hand of the clock. Who has time to read sermon-like articles? All we need is a short crisp nutshell.

It pains me to think that if I hadn't given this particular blog a catchy title and a quote, in the beginning, not many of you would have stopped to read it.

"Climate Change" - as boring this compound noun sounds, as crucial it is for us to think about it. And you know what, climate change is just one of those hundred vital signs that reveal that our planet is ailing.

26th March 2022, a date I will never forget. The principal was addressing the school when suddenly a confident and beautiful soul came out of the line and went right onto the stage. When given the chance to speak, she uttered flowers. The fragrance of those flowers is now deeply etched in my brain forever. All eyes were on her, but her eyes were on goodness. The happiness that I saw in her eyes truly reflected how proud she was. Her passionate words moved me.

That 12th-grade senior not only introduced me to the Save Soil Campaign but made me realize that if we cannot initiate a change, we can at least be a part of it.
