Yuletide Dear Author!

Yuletide! All right. I admit I finished signing up with minutes to spare.

Constantine (TV) I couldn't have been more thrilled to see this nominated. What I love about the show: the truly flawed characters. It's spooky. It's miserable. It's delighted. John and Chas are their heartbreaking, f'ed-up selves to the end but Zed and Manny are never sidelined in pursuit of main-character angst. John is not a good man but he is trying very hard, and it turns out trying very hard is probably not enough. I would be happy with pretty much anything in this fandom, from a goofy smutty romp to an intense character study.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) Look there are a lot of characters in Scott Pilgrim but the two best characters are Wallace Wells [DRUNK HOMOSEXUAL] and Knives Chau [17 YEARS OLD]. Really anything, set in the present or in the future, featuring these two would be so welcome. They don't have to be the only thing going on! SPvtW is a rich tapestry of idiots and anything true to the source material and fun is welcome. Only DNW here is heavy duty misery with zero fun times.

The Brothers Sinister Series - Courtney Milan They're sexy, they're well-intentioned, they're idiots, they're supportive bros. I love them all. The things I like best about these books are the humor and the way every character has a strong sense of self. Hijinks, witty banter, plotting, sex, and true friendship -- I would love any and all of these.

Thin Man (Movies) Speaking of hijinks! Also speaking of witty banter and plotting. Not canonically speaking of sex but man you could be, these two definitely have an enthusiastic and varied sex life behind the scenes, separate beds be damned. These characters are so powerful that I think they could withstand basically any setting or conceit and come through beautifully. AUs, in-world mysteries, ridiculous vignettes, first-time meetings: bring it on. I love them.

I watched Constantine (the TV show) recently, and the fact his house has lots of weird doors made me think about Michael Distortion. Now I'm just thinking about Michael depositing random people in Constantine's house.

Gerry pops up immediately after his mum killed herself, and is trying to make sure that John doesn't check the news and see what he's been accused of (unaware this is another universe), John is trying to figure out if Gerry is possessed or something (because he's clearly not a regular person), Zed is having visions of corridors that make no sense, and Chas is just so resigned to the fact he now has two idiots.

A few times victims just randomly walk out a door and then through another, except Constantine can't figure out where they went. He tries to stop one and gets the "this room has 37 doors and they're all yellow" experience.

Melanie appears one day, when she was talking to Helen, and Constantine gets suspicious about how stabby she is. He figures out the bullet thing (though he probably doesn't know about the entities, so he thinks it's just cursed), and he removes it before Jon.

Tim crashes through, immediately post Not! Sasha, and is ranting about being lied to, and betrayal, and they get really drunk.

I dunno, I just think Constantine having to deal with Fears shenanigans is real funny. Thoughts?

hello anon! I am sad to tell you that I have not watched Constantine so I honestly don't have much idea of what you're talking about. it does sound interesting tho! I just... don't have the context for it.

legends truly is my favourite arrowverse show rn it's so bonkers i just watched the one where we're trapped on tv and i genuinely cracked up and geeked out on how insane it was-

THEY DID WANDAVISION BEFORE WANDAVISION WAS A THING.

srsly this show is everything to me especially this season like ofc damian comes back then kills himself and they end up on a puppet kids show and ray and nora get married in the span of one episode.

ofc there's a disney channel ahh episode where they make their silly sorority and dionysus himself is a frat boy then the next episode sara gets torn apart by zombies and everyone DIES.

of course the episode before that there was a huge mystery on who kills everyone and it's the TALKING DEMON PUPPY.
