I actually opted for a dark gray wool instead of black this time and airbrushed in the shadows during weathering to create more visual depth than you typically can get with black fabric.
The feathers in the cape are a mix of strips of painted black gauze with some added real feathers for visual interest. I'd be down to make a tutorial for the gauze feathers if that was something people were interested in!

cos委托, aka cosplay commissions, are quite popular in China—girls will pay cosplayers, usually other girls (for safety reasons and likely because more girls tend to cosplay otome game characters) to go out with them for a day as their favourite characters. this can involve theme parks, dates or even bridal shoots
New commission: another original take on Sally, of The Nightmare Before Christmas! I love making Sally gowns, I get to combine so many textures and different types of fabric, the end result is always very rich and interesting looking! This one is for bride, I’m looking forward to pictures!
Aliexpress and Etsy are typically my go tos when looking for cosplay, but they are usually more expensive (If you live in the US, shipping might not be as bad, but where I live the shipping is sometimes more than the product, so watch out for that)
Miccostumes has a bit cheaper quality costumes, but they do the job if you're on a budget
Ebay or Facebook marketplace *may* not have what you're looking for, but if they do, it'll likely be cheaper (If you're gonna try this, I recommend not searching the word "cosplay" when looking for it, as quite a few people don't label it as such.)
I typically can't find what I'm looking for on Amazon, but you can try that as well
You could also make the cosplay yourself, or make some parts of it. You might be able to find Youtube tutorials. Deku's/Gran Torino's yellow cape *shouldn't* be too hard to make. You could also thrift the red shoes if your local thrift store has em
I've cosplayed at several cons before, and though I'm a bit inexperienced, if you have any questions about the experience, social norms, or cosplay tips I shall try my best to answer (I have 0 knowledge on wigs tho. I just hate them and always choose cosplays where the character has my hair colour)
thank you so much this is so helpful!! my problem with etsy so far has been that all of the commissions i’m finding are either for accessories only, or for EVERYTHING and cost like 700-1000 dollars T-T
i really want to make the accessories myself but am looking to find the base of the suit! i’m willing to pay around 400 for it (preferably in installments i know some people who make commissions will allow that, but i will just save and pay upfront if asked :))
no worries with wigs tho i have deku hair already xD
Looking for Cosplayers/Costume Designer open for Commissions!
Good day to y'all
I don't usually make such requests on here but I figured that this is the circle of creative people who might know one thing or two about this, and I cannot even sew a patch on a piece of cloth-SO here it is!
I have a commission for a costume but I am simply not skilled at all to do that, therefore I ask directly to the source, to the chamber of creativity itself and voice my request.
I am looking for people who have experience with Costume Designing/Cosplay (professionally) and/or are experienced designer for clothing to commission some work.
Basically, this is what I am looking for:
I know, too soon but also LOOK AT THAT, SO SICK
To be more specific,
- It is a one piece work, so only the jacket
- the main material would be leather, with additional metal elements for jackets (zips, spikes, studs, etc.....) and the potential sewing/painting/drawing of the design onto said leather. Therefore, I am looking primarily for people who have worked on this type of material already.
- There will be compensation (I mean yeah, this is work) and the details will be discussed privately to sort out the best options for both parties
- I am located in Italy, so I am looking primarily for European artists. I am open to overseas artists, however I will ask for further details for logistics and shipment options.
If you or someone you know might be interested, please leave a DM so we can discuss more about what I look for.
If you have further questions regarding the project before embarking, please feel free to ask!
I appreciate every type of help, even suggestions to who better look for!
More Bloodborne! Choir set made by me for a friend, I actually have one of my own about half finished that I should really work more on one of these days.
The visor part of the blindfold cap has full visibility, the base structure is a lightweight millinery material called sinamay with millinery wire around the edge, covered in a black lace fabric with a light dusting of metallic paint. The top part of the hat is a normal wool felt capeline.

Flashback Friday to a Suki commission I did! Layers of soft ombre chiffon, faux leather, hand affixed crystals, metallic golds! This was based on artwork by Hannah Alexander, I'm working on a few more commissions based on their art atm!
i would really love to do a deku cosplay (specially hero suit zeta) and go to a con with other mha fans!!
if anyone can give me recs on where to get the base for his suit (i’m willing to custom order it under a certain budget!!) and reach out if they’ve ever cosplayed at a convention before i’d appreciate it :))
