Mini Painting - Wraithblades

Bodies and bases painted for my Wraithblades. These have been magnetised at the arm and wrist so they can use any loadout in the box; swords, axes, cannons, D-scythes, they can be swapped out whenever.

Unfortunately that does mean I have to paint all those fiddly bits. Eventually.

that last post got me thinking about my own wraiths so I decided to post them. my eldar went through a lot of prototype type schemes before I settled on the yme-loc orange and gray, but the wraiths were technically the first eldar unit I ever completely painted. even tho they were the first, I'm a lot happier with their redone coat of paint

Taste of 40k Xenos

This is pure speculation so it's okay to call me out here, but here's my tierlist based on how food I imagine xenos to taste. >Tastiest: Tau They're simultaneously bolvine and fish, which is the two best tasting meats. So I'd chow a tau. >Orkz They're mushrooms, mushrooms taste good. Simple as. >Squats They got that strongfat thing going for them, pretty beefy looking. >Eldar I might be totally wrong but I hear eldar can't get fat, which I imagine is good for their cardiovascular health but bad for tasting good. I imagine a very lean meat like frog or unmarbled goat. >Genestealers The first xeno that I imagine taste explicitly bad. They probably retain the flavors of thousands of different incongruous things. >Drukhari The second xeno I imagine taste bad, but that's because they're basically Eldar but with more spunk and drugs in them. I can imagine Drukhari meat might give me their LSD flashbacks. >'Nids They're literally poisonous so if you ate one you'd die. >Necrons They're metal, nothing to eat there. Literally no meat in them, or if any meat it's just tiny nervous system fragments.

As for the chaos gods, they have demons but they also employ all humans and xenos. So I'm going to average out their demons for my Chaos taste theory. >Khorne He's the blood god, and I like bloody meat. If you eat kosher and can't eat bloody meat, I'd suggest you avoid it. >Tzeentch I imagine his demons taste fine, mid even. They might have some chaos magic stored in them but I can't imagine that's make them taste bad per say. >Slaanesh The taste of pure cum and meth pipe residue. No. >Nurgle I'd say a Slaaneshi demon may taste worse technically, Nurgle meat would probably contain a lot of decay. Maggots, rot, and other foulness. I'd say it's more gross to eat a Nurgling even if the taste is marginally superior to a Slaaneshi.

So, that's my occasional SHIT talk. Glad you've red it.

Broke: why don't craftworld Aeldari, a dying race, replenish their population by growing embryos in vitro? Seems to be working for their dark counterparts. They probably have a cultural but ultimately irrational disdain for the practice.

Woke: Who said they don't? But the effort it takes to raise an Asuryan kid and impart them the discipline and skills they need to manage their ADHD on steroids makes it very impractical to just spawn thousands of babies. Craftworlders truly love and care for their little ones \^_^/
