Watching the back half of Tales of the TMNT, remembering once more that I do really like this iteration.

I am curious though - how much exactly do people think Raph added?

Like, based on what he said at the very beginning ("add some monsters, maybe a heist") I'd definitely say absolutely everything about the new mutants. But what about the little things - was there a guy with an excavator Raph had to go check on? Did Mikey go to the store and run into the Purple Dragons? Did Pete's brain kick in? Ect ect ect.

i was like ''hm! maybe i'll just accept that i'm a capcut user and see if i might actually pay for the subscription if there's no crack" but. they fucking paywalled not only my favorite transitions that have previously been FREE, but also they now put a watermark on things you export. that has crossed the line for me and i'm so pissed about this bc my workflow for editing is now forever ruined and there's no other program that corresponds to my specific wants like capcut does bc everyone is like "uhh just use davinci resolve" but it has none of the functions i use capcut for. do i need to make a whole ass list about Why and What i use capcut for and ask for recs. where would i even ask for video editing software recommendations. im at my wits end 😭

Truly not allowed to have fun at my university anymore bc every group project is just done by ai now so why am I even here

#we have like this super fun/interesting seminar rn where we invent a product #and work out the marketing strategy with all the stuff we learned #so make slogans. posters. adds etc #and we had a super cool idea for an add. filmed with a 360 camera in first person perspective with video game elements and stuff #none of us really knew how to do video editing and everything but i volunteered to learn and do it #bc i was really enjoying the idea and was looking forward to doing that all #already started watching tutorials on video editing and how to film with a 360 camera how to get the effects that we want etc..#and now they call me ~1h before we planned the shoot and tell me they found an ai program that can make our video and it looks good #so yeah... now im really disappointed and sad and all the motivation ive had today is just gone #great #like what do you mean i could have spent 4 days working on a creative project i really enjoyed and now I can't anymore??? :(

thank god for indie devs making like tiny little maximum 10 megabyte freeware games on itchio keeping the art of filesize optimization alive. ASSET REUSE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#im watching a video about wario land music -> 'the bizarre music and sound design of wario land 4' by geno7 #good video so far! i like this guys stuff. he talked a bit about how they did some of the sound effects for warios voice #a very like. chopped and remixed sample style of doing his vocal lines. which is very cool 1) because it saves a bit of #precious space on that gba cartridge BUT ALSO 2) it just sounds cool and interesting stylistically #and man sometimes trying to keep a file size down really does give way for some really interesting stuff #on my own personal interests in games i ADORE rpg makers rtp and how people can find creative uses for it #i love that a bunch of games can draw from the same asset pool as one install on ur computer #no bloating your hardrive with a bunch of copies of the same assets - its just already here!#and from a developers perspective i love when they reuse old assets from other games in new weird ways #some small visual novel companies will reuse backgrounds and other assets #altho i dont mind a bit of bloat with VNs since a big draw can be the big pretty images and big pretty sounds #but its still cool when people find ways to get creative with space saving. and from a players perspective its also nice #space is cheap nowadays. but its not Free. we can swallow terabytes whole with micro sds and everything #but a lot of players dont get the chance or ability to upgrade their internal memory that often. so i think being considerate of filesize i #very important. and thats not even getting into the download bandwidth limits - a lot of people all across north america can only get like #internet from 1 provider and that 1 provider often likes to upcharge and limit shit because they can #we might live in a future where a lot of powerful technology exists. but access to that tech is another story #so remember the filesize. remember the filesize.#dies in your arms

study smart not hard (altough both is best actually) this saying is so true

#my advice #but this saying is sooo true #i know some people at uni who study for exam so long and hard but then fail or just barely make it :(#like what are you doing? i don't mean this in a mean way but it doesn't have to be this difficult #i don't understand how some people can study for an exam for 2 weeks or even a month and still fail and i don't think they're stupid #or i don't see myself as particulary smart #but i guess they just waste their time a lot and i realized studying effective is so important #now everyone is a bit different and has to find what works best for them but there are certain techniques which are proven to work well #there is so much information on the internet on this look it up seriously #it made my life sm easier i never struggled in uni like i did in school and i get good grades #and if i ever struggled a bit it was because i started so late it was almost impossible to pass 😂#which is why to do both is still best 😂#but i actually always made it and i never failed an exam at uni (which i studied for)#(two i was fooled into to just try without studying bc it's easy lol)#i mean i shouldn't speak too soon but i already made it through some of the most difficult of my studies #ofc it depends on what you study how well this works but i'm speaking for myself #i once passed an exam with a B studying only 2 days as one of the best students while others studied 2 weeks #and got worse grades or failed #still studying only 2 days is stupidity don't do it 😅#so the techniques i find very helpful are ofc exam questions probably the best one #if there are none make your own #then blurting for which there are different ways but i like to just go over a topic and then write down everything i remember #then fill the gaps #quizlet is also great it's an app which allows you to create cards and then tests you in creative ways #videos can be helpful as well for summaries and using summaries in general is normally enough it saves you sm time #normally you don't actually need to know everything but you should be careful it's not a bad summary leaving out too much 😅#and i also like mindmaps bc i'm a very visual person #but all those tipps are mostly for remembering information so it doesn't work so well for other fields of study #well i hope this is somewhat helpful idk 🙈#oh and reading texts over and over again is the most useless in my opinion i don't remember much at all and it takes sm time
