April was a hectic month and I didn’t read a thing. But it’s May and I was in the mood for a contemporary romance! Just broke 100 pages in Happy Place by Emily Henry!

“It's important to stand still sometimes. Think of it as a little rest in the long journey of your life. This is your harbor. And your boat is just dropping anchor here for a little while. And after you're well rested, you can set sail again."

Before I jump into talking about my current read and my thoughts on it, I just want us to all take a moment and appreciate how pretty my Kobo Libra Colour is. I love that I can post colored covers and not need to photoshop most of them now. 😍

✨️✨️ Currently Reading ✨️✨️
One of my current reads right now is The Daughters' War by Christopher Buehlman. I have been craving a high/epic fantasy and decided to dive into this arc.
I have had Christopher's book-The Blacktongue Thief, on my tbr for a while now and wanted to read that one sometime this year. It's been just sitting there on my eReader, eager to be read.
With that said, The Daughters' War is a prequel to The Blacktongue Thief, so I'm not feeling lost as I read this book.
With The Daughters' War, we follow Galva. Galva is such a fun character to follow because she is set in her ways, stubborn, caring, and hilarious. She wants to prove to her three brothers that she belongs in fighting for the war. Speaking of the war, there is an infestation of Goblins, and it's the humans vs. Goblins.
I'm not super far into this book, but I'm excited to see where this book takes me and how Galva nativgates with this war and deals with the invasion of Goblins. I feel that Galva is going to find that not everything is black and white and have to decide what to cherish, how to grieve, and what is good/evil.
If you are a Brandon Sanderson, John Gywnne, James Islington, and a Mark Lawrence fan with the amazing storytelling, the humor, and grit, then you will love this.
I'll post another update on my thoughts or just post a review once finished since this book is so good.

Current TBR - September 24
Interested in my #upcomingreads? Here's a little glimpse into what I plan to read soon and what you can expect to see on the blog shortly after! #tbr #upcoming reads
Interested in my upcoming reads? Here’s a little glimpse into what I plan to read soon and what you can expect to see on the blog shortly after! I have started dividing by TBR by medium because I tend to have at least one audio, one physical book and one digital on the go at the moment. Since I am a becoming more and more of a mood reader, if I just let myself ferally wander through different…

✨ current read: Throne of the Fallen ✨
Last week I finished „Stalking Jack the Ripper“ from Kerri Maniscalco and ordered instantly „Hunting Prince Dracula“. Yesterday I saw this beautiful edition of „Throne of the Fallen“ in the bookshop. It was just released in Germany! So I’ll make Audrey and Thomas wait a little bit longer, hehe.
Had a short reading session at the restaurant with some Gyôza and Misosoup. It was an fantastic hour of my life tbh.

📚📚My recap/review is now live on my channel🎥-By The Light of the Moon by Dean Koontz
Shep and Dylan are minding their own business when their paths cross with a mad doctor- Dr Proctor. They are injected with a mystery serum with unknown effects. Not to mention that there are people after them in hopes of putting an end the doctor's work.
Check out my review and let's chit chat!🫶🏻

ⒷⓄⓄⓀ ⓇⒺⓋⒾⒺⓌ Hindu Refugee Camp, Lahore Author: Sachin Garg Genre: Historical Fiction My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
First of all, Thank you @gargsachin for sending this signed review copy to me. It was an absolute delight for a bookworm to receive a book like that.
Next, coming to the book. This book is an amagamation of letters from an Indian man Havaldaar Ghulam Ali Limb-Fitter and his beloved Zahira. Ghulam Ali, after serving the East India Company as an Indian soldier in the WW2 (1939- 1945), by his misfortune finds himself posted in Lahore during the time of partition in 1947. He tries his best to come back to his hometown Lucknow, but by then Indian Government recognized him as a Pakistani soldier, and Pakistan recognized him as an Indian spy. He somehow manages to come back to Lucknow for a few days, when he meets Zahira and falls in love, but gets dragged away to Pakistan soon enough. Since he had no Pakistani documents, he gets thrown into the Hindu Refugee Camp of Lahore, where the letters begin their story.
The story is inspired from true events, and what I loved is the strong bond of love between Ghulam Ali and Zahira, even though they met only for a month or less. The author’s choices of words were easy flowing for everyone to understand, and the story was built in a fast paced yet a little mysterious way. There is nothing I disliked in the book honestly. If you are a historical fiction lover, and a fan of the age old correspondence using letters, I will urge you to go and read this book. It’s an absolute 5* from my end.

No Pucks (Gods Versus Monsters Hockey #1) by J.R. Gray
This was a good read as well. I enjoyed this book 📖 … Book Review: ***Spoilers here and there*** I’ll give this book a 5 star ⭐️. No lie, I enjoyed it. But I’m curious about the twins that’s on Logan team the sick one. But besides that I liked Logan and Anthony together. But I’m trying to figure out if they are the coach and player in the book I was reading before this one. I doubt it or…
