Hiiii I'd like to ask for any type of HC's or short oneshot for fairy reader (I don't mind the gender being neutral but I'd rather AFAB, if that's fine(≧▽≦)), and they're like a weak flyer and we're born with bad and weak wings.
This for Gloxinia and Drole, separately (and maybe some HCs of them together, but this one can be either platonic/romantic, it's not like clear on on it being a poly relationship, if that makes sense??
+ Gerheade and Diane too if that's fine, separately.
Sorry if this is a lot, thank you<33
Oh and I don't mind if this is before holy war or after revival of commandments :)))

Sypnosis [Drole, Gloxinia, Gerheade and Diane with Fairy!Reader who has bad/weak wings.]
WC [?]
Note || I’ve decided to set this after revival! :), reader is also described with different personalities for each character.
Tumblr media
Gloxinia + Drove (some are separate, some are paired)
Gloxinia can understand in the sense of helplessness of being unable to fly properly, it was in due part to having been born with the condition that impaired your ability to fly, since having such bad and weak wings since birth. He knows it and tries his best to reassure you whenever you are feeling bad about it or having bad days, but he never directs the subject of attention to the matter. He prefers looking at you directly, not your wings.
Gloxinia had offhandedly asked you about the matter on your weak wings, to which you had told him in great value how you had felt and the way you were treated by others for being incapable of the abundant manner of flight. Since he had been offered such invaluable insight on the subject, he had then made the decision to find ways that could support your wings so you could gain flight, even if it was the smallest hopeless thing.
Gloxinia offers his 'Basquias' as a form of transportation should he sense that you are truly struggling to getting from one point to another, having also point out to you that it doesn't kill to ask for help, even despite your personality of stubbornness. Should you accept his help, he readily helps you over. However if you do decline, he will respect that as well. He simply just wants you aware that he will always help you should you want it, though Gloxinia can be albeit impatient and decide to assist you anyway in certain situations.
Drole will offer ways of assistance to helping you should you find yourself stuck in difficult spots in certain situations, but he however has the most infinite amount of patience should you decline his help. Though he seldom understood what it was like to have such bad wings, he sought out some sort of wisdom from Gloxinia, whom told him to just let you work it out yourself. As the giant has come to learn that you were more then not; stubborn.
Drole irregardless speaks of you very highly whenever someone brings you up in conversation, though if they do happen to mention the trouble involving your weak wings, he is rather quick to defend you: more often then not he proves to have a sharp tongue. So he shuts them down quickly if they happen to be rude about you in that aspect, Drole doesn't tolerate disrespect.
Drole had often wondered about how the matter of your weak wings came to be, as you had never spoken on the details of your circumstance to him in particular. But he reels in his curiosity, Drole understands the preference of not wanting to speak about certain things, especially if it involves out of commission appendages.
Gloxinia + Drole, both are particularly easy on you in different ways, as they will be quick to shield you should you find yourself engaged in combat. They are well aware of your capabilities as a fighter, but they had also prefer to cover you as they are weary on the possibilities of you getting injured.
Gloxinia + Drole prefer moments of quiet and peace, and often on the suggestion of going out on walks, simply enjoying the presence of each other and the sights of Mother Nature. You can always hear Gloxinia audibly groan when you two hear Drole begin one of his rants of one his many stories of what he had experienced three-thousand years ago. On rare occasions however, it may be Gloxinia recounting his own experiences from the time of when he was truly committed to his duties as the first fairy king.
Tumblr media
Gerheade has a complete sense of understanding given your plight with your lack of ability being able to fly properly, even despite improper means of flight. But she will suggest any means of flight that will help you get around more freely, but should you prefer just wanting to feel the freedom of the sky and just feeling the breeze, she understands that too, instead searching for more methods that will help you in such a way.
Gerheade does try her best to better understand how differently your wings work compared to the average fairy, but based on her understanding and collective info she's gathered from you, she had come to understand that you had been borne with terrible and weak muscles in the wings. To which you had did you best to make up for in other areas.
Gerheade, to her, having come to know you was such a wonderful thing if she was being honest. To experiencing things with you, gave her a new perspective on those whom were physically or invisibly disabled. She definitely had become better for it, and in earnest became wiser about it toward herself.
Tumblr media
Diane at first was admittedly confused as to why you couldn't fly very well, or not much at all. But when you had elaborated, she apologized for her lack of ignorance, but you had reassure her it was fine. As it was a large rarity for someone like you to exist, especially for a fairy.
Diane had asked more about it, but as it stood you had only known being this way since the day of your birth. But she had easily amended the atmosphere of the situation by being hopeful about it, and had also informed you that you were always welcome to ask for her help should you need it. You'r a very dear one to her after all.

Random ship post of SDS characters
Except, it's just random pairings that no body asked for or thought of, that I very recently thought of🫣
Also I'd love to hear thoughts on the ships, which would work and which wouldn't (and I mean pairing wise, not in the case like "oh this character is dead so it can't work like OBVIOUSLY)
Also some of them I have explanations for, others I don't.
Dolores x Drole : a giant king who thrives for war, and a giantess(?) that hates the idea of fighting and shys away from it
Ban x Gloxinia : Ban reminds Gloxinia of Rou (angsty ship ig)
Elaine x Gerheade : fairies that can relate with their loneliness without their brothers and were very close friends.
Matrona x Diane : Diane looked up to Matrona but also hated. Yet missed her so much when she 'died.' The shock to finding out she was alive definitely made her realize stuff.
Nerobasta x Elizabeth : no explanation
Nerobasta x Melascula : idk that mind control(?) scene was definitely... Something. Iykyk.
Veronica x Guila : I don't think this one needs a explanation
Helbram x Gerheade : no explanation
Guila x Jericho : also doesn't need a explanation
Elaine x Melascula : I was getting very angsty Yuri where they want each other dead, but also wouldn't go through with it, from them🫣
Tarmiel x Sariel : no explanation
Derieri x Elizabeth : no explanation
Dahlia x Gerheade : idk
I'll probably add more in the future

The first batch is the Ten Commandments, if you want one, comment the name of the character you want, and I’ll DM you about it
1) Zeldris (taken)
2) Melascula (taken)
3) Monspeet (taken)
4) Gloxinia (taken)
5) Estarossa (taken)
6) Grayroad
7) Derieri (taken)
8) Drole (taken)

The names that are green are available; if they turn red, that means they are taken.

magical balance, anyone ?
another day of fixing Nakba's mistakes ! aka fleshing out the Themes where he didn't
I think each clan’s existence plays a role in maintaining the fabric of reality as it is, and manifesting the magic that exists. Absence or excess causes intense problems and threatens the world.
As put by my pal @exrolotus!
Goddesses: life
Demons: death
Fairies: flora nature
Giants: fauna / tectonic nature
Human: willpower
Basic Diagram of Magical Balance
Tumblr media
(you can barely see the goddess clan! Just like nakaba!)
The given reason for humanity becoming more magical and the overall magical health of Britannia declining is plot convenience. But this is what I think it should actually be going on there:
The goddess clan and demon clan both generally exist at a greater distance from humanity compared to the giant and fairy clan, either in another dimension or other place (my mutuals propose, for instance, that the demon realm exists in either Japan or Ireland); this distance representing how they stand on equally powerful and opposite sides of a spectrum. It’s so clear how far apart they are, how clear at first glance the line is between what they represent. I propose that their link to the magical balance between them is more precarious than that between of the giants and fairies, and much more vital to the manifestation of magic itself.
As for the giants and fairies: their clans’ supernatural relationship is easier to understand in that they both have ties to nature. It’s a more tangible concept - how does the environment exist without the earth? Flora without fauna? And when do we ever see fairies and giants going toe-to-toe?
We see the Giant and Fairy clans join with Diane and King’s marriage. I’m going to dig for meaning and propose that this restored a balance between them that was always meant to be. That, in the same way that Elizabeth and Meliodas met and bonded soul-to-soul, their souls’ union was able to restore an ancient and necessary balance to their own clans. Elizabeth and Meliodas brought the end to an eternal war. I’m gonna say that King and Diane brought an end to an unnatural silence. An absence of a relationship, to parallel the absence of a supernatural union between light and dark, life and death, which, arguably should coexist without a third force (supernatural racism, the goddesses’ genocide agenda, etc.) attempting to eliminate one from existence.
Drole and Gloxinia’s relationship in canon has mysterious origins. A lot of us seem to be shipping them, and I don’t think they’re wrong from a narrative perspective. Remember the giants’ connection to the earth and the faries’ connection to nature. It makes sense that their clans should have some kind of relationship, instead of not interacting at all. Love between them, whether romantic or platonic, could represent the same thing. I hypothesize that fairies and giants were always close (not necessarily physically!) in ancient times until the Holy War, and upon seeing the devastation and unnecessary death they “split” in order to prevent history from repeating. An angst disagreement, or a solemn and silent withdrawal. Giants, continuing on as some of the greatest warriors in Britannia, overemphasizing it in the hope their strength will continue to protect them and bring them honor and courage. Fairies, isolating themselves from all other interactions, neglecting their warrior skills to the point where they become as they are in nnt, relying on their king to do everything for them and “discarding their honor” in terms of their powers. Unhealthy war, unhealthy peace.
I propose that the rifts caused by the Holy War are what sapped the magic from Britannia. When the goddesses and demons lose the ability to interact with the world “in-between” them, the magic drains. Etc. Humans, the “odd one out,” adapted. For fun, I think there should be some natural disasters thrown into the mix every now and again, as well as other phenomena which I will describe later. What happens when the ropes on all four sides, holding together the supernatural balance of reality, snap? This whole thing is inspired somewhat by the idea that in a fantasy realm, there is one more sphere of health you have to keep track of. It’s physical health, mental health, and magical health. Neglect your mental health? Uh oh! Neglect your magical health? UH OH. I think that if you’re not in touch with yourself and your powers, well, there are consequences. And something like that on a larger scale is happening to Britannia with two (?) upset balances.
Thoughts? :D

August Writing Challenge Day 27: Drole/Gloxinia
AN: Set while the two of them are Commandments, at the ruins of Edinburgh. There's... at least one night between the Commandments waking up and Meliodas going to say 'Yo!' right?
It felt strange being able to see the stars. In the Fairy King's Forest, it was often branches of trees as old as the world you'd see, heavy with fruit, covered in leaves as large as your head. Gloxinia had often nestled in hollows in trees, carved out by animals for somewhere to roost for a season, then forgotten the next. He'd collect leaves and make a nest for himself, a cosy bed to snuggle in away from everyone else. He wouldn't forget where his particular nests were; though sometimes he had an animal sleeping in a nest he'd claimed.
“Do you have names for the stars?” Gloxinia looked at the man who'd asked, his oldest friend, the one who got it.
“We didn't often see the stars; never mind the practice of trying to make pictures out of them.” He answered honestly. Drole nodded, glancing up at the stars.
“I heard a few of them complaining the stars looked different in Purgatory and the constellation they usually wished on for luck or protection wasn't in the sky.” The first thought which went through Gloxinia's mind was 'They're demons with incredible power, what need have they for luck?' and then he realised. 'Doing something for luck' didn't link to any kind of logic. He now glanced around their companions. And saw they were all lounging around, looking rather comfortable. He grinned, floating to see what was going on.
In spite of Melascula's protests... she was lying quite comfortably on top of Galand. Asleep. Gloxinia heard a grumbly noise, before realising it was Galand snoring. Probably from lying on his back. The volume of the snores made him ponder how Melascula could be asleep... unless they normally slept together. Perhaps in that sense, he had the suspicion the old demon was sweet on her at the very least. He floated off, finding Zeldris and Estarossa both lying on separate ledges near each other. In exactly the same pose.
Had he been feeling more mischievous, he would have scooped the smaller demon up and put him beside the bigger one. They might have cuddled and it would have disturbed the two of them in the morning if they did that! He floated to where Fraudrin had dozed, snores erupting from his mouth as well. Grayroad was sleeping close by as well, all of her pairs of eyes closed, a soft rhythmic grunt that might have been her snores creeping out.
Which left him to float over to... the only actual couple. Monspeet and Derieri. His cape had been commandeered as a makeshift blanket, the two of them cuddling the way lovers might. Gloxinia wasn't sure exactly how lovers cuddled... but he did know that Derieri was naked; darkness didn't manifest when a demon was asleep. He floated back over to Drole, hovering in front of him.
“Think everyone else is asleep.” It got him a smile.
“It is strange that we are all still tired after being asleep for three thousand years.” Gloxinia giggled softly, before yawning. He was tired too, it seemed. Drole yawned too, all four arms stretching up.
“It appears we should be sleeping as well.” He carefully lay down, a little nervous of the branch he'd been perching on not being quite big enough. His feet dangled, but only his feet, when he'd lay down. Gloxinia landed, sitting on Drole's chest.
“You won't get very far sitting there.” Drole told him, the vibrations rattling through his body. He laughed.
“I like the view from up here.” He caught the hint of a blush, because he wasn't looking at the sky. He was looking down at the giant below him.
“I'm not sure I'd be the most comfortable bed for you to lie on, Gloxinia.”
“I am.” Gloxinia lay down, on his front, wings twitching in contentment. Drole was warm. And the rhythmic thumping of the giant's heart was lulling him to sleep. He yawned, closing his eyes.
“Do you fidget?” Drole asked. He didn't open his eyes, but did answer the question.
“Not when I'm asleep. These two get in the way.” He fluttered his wings. He heard a soft noise which might have been a chuckle.
“Demons seem rather more willing to cuddle than we'd thought, don't they?” Gloxinia made a noise of agreement. There were... at least two pairs lying together. Three, counting him and Drole. He wouldn't have called what Galand was doing with Melascula cuddling, but didn't argue with the giant.
“May I...” He felt the tickle of a finger on his back and shuddered. Drole appeared to want to cuddle. Not that he was opposed to cuddling.
“Yes.” He stretched his arms out as far as they'd go across Drole's chest. He felt the giant's fingertips resting on his back, under his wings.
“Good night, Gloxinia.” He whispered, a soft smile on his face; not that Gloxinia could see that.
“Night Drole, sweet dreams.” He whispered back, sleep claiming him quite quickly afterwards.
AN: In the morning, Gloxinia wakes up before everyone else. He takes the opportunity he'd been meaning to last night; pranking a couple of the others. Neither Galand nor Fraudrin appreciate the wake up call; a drop of human blood from the tip of Basquias straight into their open mouths. It does cheer a few of the others though; Melascula included.
