Preserving this history is also about ensuring that future generations can learn, understand, and be inspired by the stories of those who came before them.

Hello, fellow DTA lovers. I've created a document with every reoccurring theme in the series that I could find (fuck yourself, I win, birth to death, etc). It also has an Obscure Characters page (not finished) with summaries on, mostly, the Romans. I'm also currently adding a favorite quotes/scenes tab, which is mostly for me, but I figure some of yours may be on there as well. While I won't be adding other people's favorites to it, if I missed any themes or scenes that should be within them, please let me know - in a comment on the doc, as I likely won't see comments here. In the future, I may also be adding tabs for all the plot lines, but that's not certain. Please read the note in the first tab before perusing as it has some important information. so my knees have been done for almost a year, and in my current reread of dta I realized I never posted about them - I was bedridden when I first read it and it gave me the spirit to stand up and try to live instead of just survive. so thank you @seperis for the reminder that I kneel to no one and nothing, that was my right from birth, I’ve just got to stand up.

I realized a couple days ago, after reading one the authors notes, that dta was not meant to end with book 4.

Unless everything gets resolved in the last 3 chapters.

While every chapter contains roughly 25k words, and you can tell a lot in 75k words, I don't think it would be enough to wrap everything up. Not with how big this story is. So I think there was at least one other book in the planning. Or eventually more chapters. Or maybe both.

Though Im really curious about the ending, and really hope that someday there will be an update (and hopefully an happy ending because I don't think I will ever recover from a sad ending), I'm forever grateful for what we got.

The world building, characterization and the plot itself are truly amazing. And hands down one of the best stories I've ever read.

And if the author reads this; thank you for gifting us this beautiful story and I hope your doing well!
