Other than James, is there any other hybrid dragons?

OH MY GOSH. I'M ABOUT TO DROP SO MUCH LORE. THIS WAS MY EXACT REACTION WHILE MAKING THIS.👇 I AM UNHINGED. :D

Anyone reading this, you're gonna want to pull up a seat! This is gonna be long! Lol!

Other than James, is there any other hybrid dragons?: I would say yes. But they are very far and few between. At first. Let me explain a few things! So, in the golden days of dragons, there were many species. And they were all sorted into different classes. Titan, Standard, Dwarf, and Fey. (And there's Leviathan Class, but it's too big to show here.) In addition, they are subclasses like Seadragons, Serpents, Wyverns, Drakes, (Normal) Dragons, Fey Dragons, and Longs (Eastern Dragons). They sometimes also are sorted if they had any kind of magical abilities. And each of these would almost always mate only within their own species.

But then something happened. Humans got even smarter and started using tougher and more deadly weapons. Slowly dragon numbers began to dwindle and dragons began to migrate out of their usual habitats and into other species. These dragons started to find mates from other species in the areas they wandered to. Sometimes it was simply a matter of their species just dying out. Or the smaller territories crossing over. Either way, Hybrids were the results. They weren't super common at first. But by the time this AU's version of Journey Beyond Sodor comes around, they're WAY more common. In fact, Hurricane is a cross between a Titan Class (Gordon's Class) and a Standard Class (Thomas's Class)! EDIT: I forgot to mention! For this same reason, clans made up of multiple species also started to occur. Before, Dragon Clans were usually made up of only one species. But after families got separated and almost whole species killed off by humans, dragons began to bond with others outside their kind. Found family baby! :D

2. How do dragons react to lemon?: Weeeeeeeell...

That's a definite NOPE from Thomas.🤣 Yeah, I don't like they would like them much. Lol!

3. What’s Emily’s origin?: Okay, so here's the thing. She is literally NESSIE. Aka The Loch Ness Monster!

Well, she's what started the legend anyway. Albeit accidental. Lol. Here's the story. Emily is chilling in her Loch one day, minding her own business. She had just gotten up, so she isn't really paying attention to her surroundings. A camera flashes. Emily freezes and looks toward the shore. Two very nervous photographers are standing there. She panics and dives back down! But, she's a bit too late. Because, blurry as it is, that photo is enough to start a whole monster hunting craze. Suddenly the Loch is swimming with boats and flashing cameras, and Emily's whole clan has to relocate! And that's how she ended up on Sodor.😂

4. Other than villain dragons and humans, are there anymore rivals or villains they face against like wolves?: Do ghosts count? Sailor John is a pirate ghost in this story! But he disguises himself as a normal hooman. He has to find his old treasure chest, so he can become mortal again and rain terror across the seas again! Also, there's a few dangerous monsters and such. Trolls, Rock Monsters, Sand Worms, etc. (Beresford the crane is a bridge troll in this!) Sodor is actually part of an archipelago called The Golden Isles. So there's plenty of habitats for monsters to dwell. As for wolves, that's not such a bad idea! Perhaps something like Wargs could exist. They're the giant evil wolves from Lord Of The Rings. Something like that maybe.

5. Is Henry gentle to the forest animals and acts like a Father Nature type?: Absolutely! He loves the animals! And knows a lot about them! Because he's closer to animals than the others, he doesn't like to partake in hunting. And he has a more vegetarian diet.

Of course, most dragons are predators, and need food to survive. And of course, if there was too many prey animals, the ecosystem would be unbalanced. So there has been a compromise made. Any animal located within fifty feet of Henry's den, (Located under the Wishing Tree!) is safe from hunting. Also, one more cool fact about him is he has plant magic! He can grow plants, and has something called Root Connection. He can basically telepathically sync up with the trees communication signals and find out what's going on anywhere in the forest! His horns and eyes get all glowy and everything!

6. Is there any dragons that loves the beach or the coastal region?: Definitely! There's three whole clans that live by the beach! Salty's clan is on the Southern Coast of the island. And you know Salty loves the ocean! His clan is made up of himself, Porter, Cranky, and eventually Big Mickey and Carly. Cranky is a big Leviathan Class Seadragon as you can see. Porter and Salty can ride him.

And then there's Belle's Clan! (This AU's version of the Sodor search and rescue team!) They live on the northern coast and watch out for incoming dragons and ships! They're like the watch men of the island! They live on a sea mount called The Roost! Her clan is made up of Flynn, Harold, Captain, Butch, and Rocky. Don't have designs for them yet. Sorry.😅 (Flynn x Belle is thing in this too!)

And then lastly, we have Duck's clan. And while they live more inland than the others, they are still located on the northern coast! Duck's clan has Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Skiff, Daisy, and Ryan!

I don't have concepts for everyone yet. But here's Ryan, Daisy, and Duck's prototype designs! (Oh, and Ryan x Daisy is a thing in this!❤️)

HOOOOOO BOY. This is gonna be a long one! Lol! Honestly, most of the reasons is just liked them. I saw some fan work of them and they just clicked with me. I don't know. I'm not very complicated when it comes to shipping.😅 But I'm super excited to talk about my ships, so I'll try to give some more thoughts on them than that. Let's get into it!

Sonny x Rebecca: I will admit, I didn't ship these two at first. But, after I saw some fan content of them, I was hooked. I think they would have really good dynamic. We all know it's implied that Sonny has had a very rough and frankly traumatizing life. I feel like Rebecca could be good for him. Her joyful and sweet personality might just be what he needs to heal. Plus, they give me sun and moon vibes.🌚🌞 (P.S. I almost forgot. Watching Gordon take in the fact that his daughter figure/apprentice is now dating this "thieving rapscallion" would be absolutely hilarious.)

Thomas x Ashima: I've been shipping these two for years! I mean, look at the the way they look at each other and talked about each other in a few scenes! And how Thomas really wanted her to stay with him longer? Saving each other in the competition?? Or that one BWBA episode where he fantasized saving her like action hero??? That's so frickin cute!

Another thing! Thomas is used to having to prove he's worthy for all sorts of things. Ashima thinks he's already worthy. She literally looked at him and said, you don't need to change. You're perfect being yourself and I like it.😭💖 I personally feel like they're soulmates! And make a really good team! I really wish they had done more with them in show. I was hopeful when they announced they would be putting her in more episodes. But alas, nothing really happened.

Frankie x Hurricane: I love me a good villain couple, m'kay? Also, the tragedy??? Think about it, since they're working on the mainland, they don't know about steamies and diesels finally getting along. (We do know that things are the mainland didn't change as quickly.) So picture this. Back then, when the mainland engines found out that steamie and diesel had fallen in love, all hell broke loose! So, the poor ostracized couple left to escape the hostility, and went where they could never find them. A big steelworks, in the middle of nowhere... Anyways, they would totally be an awesome Disney level villain couple. I know it.

Emily x Connor: This one has what I call "I take a tiny moment and blow it up into a huge thing!" Lol. Basically, in one episode, Connor very subtly flirted with Emily and I found it interesting. It may or may not have been intentional, but either way I thought that it could be really cute. They give me knight and princess vibes. Also, I love Caitlin and Emily's relationship. (Healthy female friendships! My beloved!) Having her as a wingman (wingwoman???) for Emily and Connor sounds all too adorable. Although admittedly, this ship is definitely not my favorite on the list. I used to like it more when I was younger. Recently I got into Douglas x Emily, which has way more hints than this ship. And that one is slowly creeping up higher on the list. So we'll just have to see with one comes out on top.

Edward x Boco: SUCH A CUTE COUPLE! I didn't ship these two at all, until start reading fic's for them and saw the fanart. Then I realized these two might as well be married! Just two nice old guys, raising three rambunctious children together.🥰 Also, it seems nice that Edward finally has someone tough enough to help him wrangle in the twins when he's feeling worn out. And their personalities fit really nicely together too. Somebody put it better then me, right here. But yeah, these two are adorable! Easily one of my top favorite ttte ships!

Belle x Flynn: Honestly, I have no reason to ship these two, other than I just think it would be cute. No canon event inspired it. No fanart. Nothing. It just popped into my head one day and I decided to roll with it. Lol. I think it would be fun to see.

Daisy x Ryan: I'm not to sure what to say about these two either. Other than they give me vintage movie vibes. (Maybe it's Daisy. She reminds me of a few female movie stars from the old days of Hollywood.) And as a vintage movie fan, I really like that! Also, it's worth mentioning she literally flirted with him in one episode. That was a surprise! It was convince him to do some jobs for her, but whatever. Lol. Also Ryan was almost completely oblivious to it. My poor Gold Retriever Boy. It didn't fully compute. 🤣🤣🤣 Still, I think it could possibly work. Especially in the later seasons.

James x Nia: YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE RARE PAIR!🤩 I've talked about it so much now! But, here's a few more thoughts on them! They actually have a few traits in common. They're both playful, fiery, and outgoing characters. And they both seem to be very loyal as well. Oh, did I mention that their matching color scheme is perfect. And I feel like Nia would help James loosen up a bit and get even more adventurous. So while definitely a rare pair, I think they're neat and should be explored more!❤️🧡

Toby x Henrietta: If Thomas and Ashima are soulmates, Toby and Henrietta are champion soulmates! They're such a husband and wife duo. I loved every episode they had together. The way they talked to other and how much they disliked being separated? Adorable!!!😍🧡🧡 Sometimes they remind me of my own parents.😂 Whoever came up with the idea to finally give Henrietta a voice and an actual face? I salute you. You were a true genius. Now I can hear their realistic husband/wife banter in it's full glory. Lol.

Well, that's my thoughts. I'm not very good at romance anything, so I hope this will suffice.😅 Thanks for the ask!

Most days her heart is in two places. And it’s a luxury, really, to care so much. For so long she spent her life searching… reaching for something that she could never really put a finger on.

Now it seems like there are so many things that she wants. She’s stretched thin, caught between stability/predictability and this other new burning desire that she still can’t fully comprehend.

Her heart’s pounding, phone clasped in her hands, somehow hearing herself agreeing to a drink in town with Crystal of all people.

Crystal!

“He’s so… dreamy.”

Daisy plasters on a smile. “Yeah,” she vaguely agrees.

Crystal sips from her champagne flute. “I thought Ryan seemed a bit? Boring? But it’s like the acid attack’s made him a bit… deeper?”

Daisy tastes blood from where she’s biting her inside cheek. “Well, he’s late,” she says through gritted teeth.

“He’s made to be in a club,” Crystal goes on unperturbed. “I could do it, get him a contract.”

“Yeah?” Daisy says. “Well, he’s still got stuff to do at hospital. You know, with his psychologist?”

“His psychologist?” Crystal says, waving it off. “He said it’s all over, that.”

Daisy considers her for a moment. And makes a decision. A stupid decision. She hears herself saying that Ryan doesn’t know Crystal well enough to tell her the complete truth, that he��s still struggling…

“Who’s struggling?”

She looks up and there he stands. Ryan with a big stupid smile on his face, blushing at the quick kiss Crystal gives his cheek.

“The government,” Daisy says. “Did you hear about the reshuffle?”

“Hard to miss,” Ryan says. “I’m surprised you did.”

She rolls her eyes. “Uh, I live with a teacher?”

“Right,” Ryan says awkwardly at the reminder of Daniel.

“I’m well glad there’s no politics in Ibiza,” Crystal says. “Seems there’s a new premier every other week.”

Later, Ryan corners her outside the ladies’, a hand reaching for her wrist. She snaps it away, burning from the touch.

She hates the look on his eyes, the hurt, but everything she does lately hurts someone. She’s resentful, too, that she’s here, in this club on a night she should be spending with Daniel and Bertie. Instead, she’s here, trying to think of how to drive a wedge between Ryan and Crystal. To make sure Crystal doesn’t give him any Ibiza-shaped ideas.

Because that would be… it can’t happen.

“Why did you come?” Ryan asks.

Daisy quickly searches for Crystal in the crowd, but she seems busy talking to a promoter. “Wanted a night out.”

He doesn’t look convinced.

“I’ll leave, okay?” She says. “Don’t want to cause any trouble.”

“Daisy,” he says softly.

“Just a moment of jealous insanity,” she mumbles under her breath, but he seems to catch it. “Sorry.”

He smirks and it lights up her world. There were days where she never thought he would smile again and now he looks flirty and like she’s the best flipping thing in the world.

“I like it,” he says. “You being jealous.”

“Well, I don’t,” she sighs.

Ryan gives her shoulder a squeeze and gently pushes her towards Crystal. “You’re not leaving until we’ve had a drink… a friendly drink, for our friendship.”

She wrinkles her nose. “All right, then. Go on.”

He lights up. And for now, just being in his presence is enough.

ranking Sodor's couples (only those included in these two posts for now) by how similar their music tastes are! (most to least)

Salty/Porter, obviously. They're the only couple whose music tastes are completely unified - said unity being Irish Rovers and Blackmore's Night (kidding. it's sea shanties and folk (mostly British/Celtic/Gaelic) in general, not just those two)

Whiff/Scruff - they both enjoy noise music that makes most anyone else cover their ears. Where they differ though is that Scruff also enjoys techno while Whiff prefers rock

Emily/Caitlin - both listen to pretty basic music, although Caitlin leans more britpop while Emily doesn't care where the music is from at all. Biggest difference, though, is that Emily generally prefers solo acts and Caitlin groups.

Thomas/James - mostly this high because Thomas listens to anything. James is very into some kpop girl groups (mostly Red Velvet, but also Iz*One, Cherry Bullet, f(x) etc. - the ones that either have a red(ish) theme or referenced the colour in a well known song) and Thomas enjoys it just as much as anything else (- maybe ballads, but they're not James' style either)

Charlie/Rosie - Charlie, similarly to Thomas, will listen to pretty much anything, but the reason they're lower on the list is because Rosie's taste is basically just metal, highly stylised Japanese music (think Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu or Vocaloid) and uncanny valley-like stuff. And sorry but Charlie just can't do Poppy.

Daisy/Ryan - Daisy likes they girl pop icons like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Lana del Rey, Rihanna, stuff like that, and listens mostly to specific artists. Ryan doesn't care about the artists, and listens mostly to ballads, but that does give them an overlap area in the way of ballads sung by the girl icons

Edward/Henry - they're both looking for different things in music; basically, Edward's looking to dance, they like lively music and don't put much thought into the lyrics, and Henry's looking to cry (both in the sad and happy way, more looking for emotions in general), and lyrics are the first thing he's paying attention to. There is some overlap of stuff they both like, but for the most part they just compromise by either a.) each listening to their own thing or b.) playing one song each out loud and going back and forth

Luke/Victor - both of their favourites are folk music of their own culture, Celtic Irish and Latin American respectively, so similar in reasoning, vastly different in execution. Neither however minds the others music as one of the points they both love about each other is their love for their cultures, so they genuinely don't need to compromise (in the strict sense) on what they listen to together.

Douglas/Oliver - Oliver has quite a tame taste, some rock, some metal, some pop, that kinda stuff, but Douglas (along with Donald), in an act that nobody is quite sure whether it's real or just a joke gone too far, listens exclusively to bagpipes. They came to an agreement that neither plays their music out loud.
