Honorary Fright Knight
I have this idea in my head that some time after Danny, as King Phantom, has established himself as part of/ an alie to the bats, Fright Knight decides he needs to meet these "Gotham Knights" himself to be sure they are worthy of working alongside the King. (And protecting him if need be)
So Phantom tells them, "Hey, my bodyguard just wants to see if yall are up to snuff and make sure yall are "sufficient in combat" or something." And the bats are like, ok, cool! We get to meet another ghost. Supposedly the Ghost Kings own personal bodyguard too?
So they're all in front of the portal and out comes The Fright Knight. They're all tense, worried of starting a potential interdimensional conflict or something. He's looming over all of them, sizing them up, when he spots Damien's sword.
FK: You, Child. Are you skilled with that weapon?
Dami: Tt, of course. I was raised to wield it.
Rest of the bats are worried that might be taken as a threat: 😬
Then Frighty steps up to Damian and brandishes the fucking Soul Shredder and just-
FK: Good. I declare thee worthy of the title of Honorary Knight of the High King Phantom.
And Damien's sword bursts into flames for a moment before going back to normal.
Everyone is reasonably shook. Phantom's kinda embarrased. But Damian? He puffs up his chest with pride at this. Out of all the bats, all his siblings, he was deemed worthy as a knight. Sure it was an honorary knight but still.
Don't know what to do with this, it just seemed funny to me 🤗👻

This Kiss
Reader has never been kissed and she's looking for candidates at a party but Eddie rejects them all and scares them off even before they're talking with the reader. After the party, he shyly announces his candidacy for her first kiss @saramelaniemoon 💖
Warnings; Reader is over 18, Fluff, protective Eddie, slightly jealous Eddie, friends to lovers.
I don't give anyone permission to copy my work.
If you enjoyed this then please consider giving it a reblog it is much appreciated 💖
💖
Telling Eddie her biggest secret was nerve-wracking. She knew he would never judge her, and he would be so supportive but she was still anxious.
"Sweetheart? What's the big secret? I'm thinking all sorts here" shit! now he looks worried so she just comes right out with it.
"I've never been kissed and I would like for it to happen" he states at her stunned.
"Never?" he gapes and she nods feeling flustered which he notices straight away.
"Never" she confirms.
"So you want to kiss the right guy, I'll help you find the right guy. He will have to be someone incredible though to be good enough for my princess"
His princess... she tries to ignore the butterflies in her stomach but it's hard because Eddie was so handsome and sweet to her.
They had just recently became really close friends and she didn't want to jeopardize anything by admitting she felt... more than friendly feelings for him.
What if he didn't feel the same and he was just being kind? She didn't want to take that risk, the embarrassment of being rejected, and then trying to pretend that it didn't hurt so she could still have Eddie in her life.
"Well, there's the party that Chrissy is throwing tomorrow. We could go to that? Scope up any candidates" she suggests and he nods.
"It's a date! Uh... I mean not a date like that" she stammers and inwardly curses herself for being so awkward around him.
He smiles though and squeezes her hand to let her know that he gets it.
"Tomorrow it is"
💖💖
Chrissy's party was one of the biggest of the year and since her parents, were away on a business trip everyone was attending.
It was also the party after graduation so it was anticipated by everyone and Chrissy had invited her and Eddie.
It was her first big party and she was excited.
At first, it was a little stifling, so many people crammed inside and out, the loud music blaring in her ears but she was determined to stick it out.
She had a reason for being here after all.
Operation First Kiss, yeah it was a kinda dorky name but this was just between her and Eddie who was staying close to her and handed her a beer.
"Okay, so candidates?" she prompted Eddie and tried to not notice how hot he looked in his leather jacket, black shirt, and black jeans.
Eddie wasn't very forthcoming so she looked around the room while sipping her beer.
"Okay, how about David, cute, nerdy guy? Standing over there beside Nancy. Think he works with her on the school paper" Eddie gives the guy a once over and shakes his head.
"Nope" she stares at him amused.
"Why not?" he shrugs and proceeds to drink his beer. Yeah, valid argument there Eddie.
She grins as she spots Jason and purely to wind Eddie up she points to him.
"I guess Carver is like a definite no then?" he almost chokes on the beer and glares at her and she looks back at him with a perfectly innocent expression.
"Oh ha ha" he murmurs sarcastically and she cuddles into him just for a second.
"I'm only teasing Eddie. I would never, he's a douchenozzle" Eddie snorts and whispers around his breath.
"Douchenozzle" he looks proud, he should be he's the one who taught her it.
They are so lost in their laughter that she doesn't notice one of the basketball players sidle up to her looking very interested.
"Hey?" he gets her attention and she smiles at him. His name was Danny and she knew he was very nice, Lucas liked him a lot.
"Hi"
"Are you enjoying the party?" he asks her and she shrugs.
"I'm not really one for parties but Chrissy invited us and she's really lovely so I thought why not?" at the mention of us he looks over to Eddie and pales.
She isn't sure why until she turns to Eddie and notices that his eyes are flashing dangerously and he does not look happy.
"Oh, I think I hear one of my friends calling me, got to go" Danny scurries off and she rounds on Eddie whose dark expression immediately soften. Now he's the one trying to look innocent.
"Eddie! What was that? We are trying to scope out potential candidates. Not scare them away. Danny is nice, Lucas likes him and says he's not a jerk like Jason"
Eddie gives her one of those heart-melting grins of his-all dimples and she sighs.
"Sorry sweetheart. You know how protective I am of you and I just want you to find a good guy"
Okay, she agrees and it was sweet of him to want her to find the perfect guy. Now it was on to the next one.
💖💖
Out of five other candidates she had found Eddie liked precisely none of them.
"He's far too into himself princess," he said about one of her picks.
The other was "A total butthead"
Even when she mentioned that maybe Gareth could be an option and worth considering as he was Eddie's best friend and all and was a great guy, Eddie swore and shook his head.
"No way, absolutely not princess" she is beyond exasperated by now.
"He's your best friend. You like him, what's wrong with him?"
"Nothing but it's still a no sweetheart" she huffs and Eddie offers to get her another beer when she sees Steve join the party with Robin and she has an eureka moment.
"I've got it," she says excitedly as Eddie comes back. He looks at her wary.
"What?"
"Steve, he is kind, handsome, sweet, and surely you have nothing against him right?" she implores and Eddie swallows and stakes his head.
"No, he's a great dude" he murmurs and fiddles with his rings, something she knows he does when he's anxious.
Almost immediately the idea disapatates quick.
"He's still crazy in love with Nancy though and I adore Nancy so that's not the best idea" is it her imagination or does Eddie relax after she says it?
Considering the party a failure she turns to Eddie and pouts.
"Did you make any more of that amazing mac and cheese Eds? This party is a bust and I'd rather be relaxing at yours" he brightens.
"Lead the way milady"
💖💖
Once they are back at his she is a little put out things never went how she thought they would.
"What a let down the party was. All those guys and every one was a fail" well mostly according to Eddie.
"There's still one guy left," Eddie tells her, and she feels her stomach fill with butterflies as his big brown eyes go all soft and he looks so shy which was a rarity.
"I'd like to put forth my candidacy"
Her jaw drops because she didn't expect this but then it suddenly clicks into place why he was so protective, how no one was good enough.
The only guy he wanted kissing her was himself. The butterflies intensify and she takes his hand.
"Eddie.. why didn't you say before?" she asks softly and he touches her cheek.
"I've always thought your were incredible. Beautiful. I like you a lot sweetheart, I've fallen for you hard"
"Oh, Eddie, I've been falling for you too. I wish you had said something sooner, would have saved us both a lot of pining" he grins.
"Yeah no shit" he teases and then he moves closer as does she and before she knows it they are kissing.
It's slow at first and very gentle. Tender, Eddie wraps his arms around her and holds her close.
They break away both grinning goofily. It was her first kiss and the first of millions more to come with Eddie.

Ancestral chapter 15
For Ectoberhaunt 2023 day 18: unravel!
.
We traveled to the Revyvtech offices.  At first, it seemed not unlike when we shadowed the young twins.  There were places we could not go, then, too.
"Well," said Iris, as Danny translated, "Why didn't they investigate then?"
Do not think us incurious.  There are many things that can turn aside such weak spirits.  Not all of them are sinister, or even purposeful.  Some of our number cannot be far from their kin.  Some, their loves.  Some may only walk the paths they walked in life–
"Are you saying that there aren't any ghosts here who used to work for Revyvtech?" asked Iris.
Gwensyvyr looked amused despite the horrific damage to her arm.  There are, but in their own accounts, they were not highly ranked, and are quite sure their passwords will no longer work.
Danny wasn't so sure of that.  He wasn't a computer genius, as indicated by his 'plan' to hack Revyvtech, but he'd spent enough time helping Tucker to be embarrassed he hadn’t thought of asking.  He looked up hopefully at the other ghosts.
“Sometimes people don’t change things like that right away,” he said.  Jazz came back in as he spoke, and Danny set the phone on the floor while he took the jar and a pair of plastic gloves from her.  “Maybe if we can find some people who only died recently, we could try out theirs?”
Some ghosts left the room.  Others engaged in hearty bouts of mime.  Others glared at him.
Gwensyvyr touched his arm with her uninjured hand, and gestured back at the phone.  They glare because they are troubled by my injury.  Danny was fascinated by the fact that Gwensyvyr seemed to have spontaneously reinvented texting lingo.  Although, it was possible that her current batch of spelling decisions just happened to look like that.  They should glare at me instead.
The ghosts looked more or less appropriately chastized.
“Right,” said Danny.  “Okay.”  He unscrewed the lid of the jar.  “That doesn’t explain how you got hurt.”  He frowned at the cream.  “This works for me, but you’re intangible…  I don’t know if I can even put this on you.”
Gwensyvyr shrugged, then held out her arm.
“Yeah, I guess there’s only one way to find out.”  He pulled on the gloves and scooped out a small amount of the cream.  Then he reached out, and to his surprise, was able to smear it on Gwensyvyr’s arm.
Although, maybe it shouldn’t be such a surprise.  Ever since that first day, she and the other ghosts had been growing stronger.  Just now, she’d been able to touch him, and he’d been able to feel it, and she had at the Masque as well.
“Oh,” said George.  “That’s– That’s really weird to look at.  Sorry, honored ancestor, but it is.”
Danny didn’t stop applying the cream.  “Do you see her?”
“Not.  Not really.  More like, I can tell there’s… something.  Like heat over a sidewalk.  Where you put the cream.”
“Are you seeing the cream?”
“I don’t think that’s it,” said Iris.  She sounded fascinated.  “It’s like looking at glass in water.”
Danny was honestly just relieved that it was working.  He took some more cream from the jar and continued up, past Gwensyvyr’s shoulder.
It felt as if Danny were on the verge of a revelation.  As if he had the end of a string in his hand, and all he had to do was pull it to unravel the knot of this mystery.  But he was missing something.  Some puzzle piece, some scrap of information that would make this all make sense.  Or maybe what he was missing was perspective.
Gwensyvyr had run into blood blossoms.  Probably at Revyvtech.  Blood blossoms hurt ghosts and half ghosts.  Gwensyvyr was growing stronger.  She was stronger than she’d been when Danny had first arrived.
He finished rubbing in the cream and started peeling off the gloves.  “Can you tell us what happened now?”
Gwensyvyr reached over and tapped the phone, which had gone dark.  It turned on.
“Huh,” said Danny.  “Okay.”  He unlocked it and brought up the keyboard.  Gwensyvyr began to type.
The building was largely empty, and we became frustrated.  I saw movement and light behind a door, and became convinced that secrets were being spoken of within.  But the space beyond it was one that was barred to us.  Once, before we grew so weak, I could defeat such barriers, push them aside.  I pushed.  The barrier defeated me, however.  Gwensyvyr gave Danny a wry smile.  Yet, in harming me, it revealed its nature.  Although it seems that you already know the name of the scourge.
“Blood blossoms, yeah,” said Danny.
I thought them eradicated, or nearly so, wrote Gwensyvyr.  I must ask, how did you encounter them?
“One time was a fluke,” said Danny, not wanting to get into the time travel thing, “leftovers from the sixteen hundreds.  But then Mom and Dad found some old seeds and got them to grow.  They put them all away when they realized I was allergic, but–”
“Wait,” said Iris, “it’s something you’re allergic to?  The ghost you’re talking to was hurt by something you are allergic to in Revyvtech?”
Gwensyvyr nodded.
“Yes?” said Danny.
“What happened to–”  Iris swallowed.  “What happened to everyone but Vivian and Grandma Rose looked like an allergic reaction.”
Danny nodded.  He’d already been solidly convinced that Revyvtech was up to no good (see: the Vlad look-alike), but he knew that the others might have needed more convincing.
They didn’t anymore.
But– Wait.  Wait.  “I’m pretty sure my reaction to blood blossoms is more of a syvyr thing than a family thing,” said Danny.  “Jazz didn’t react like I did, when we had them in the house.  Neither did Mom.  There’s nothing to say that anyone else is going to be allergic.”
“We didn’t try to eat them, though,” said Jazz, “and regular things like that - allergens - can be concentrated, can’t they?  Why not more supernatural allergens?”
“There’s another factor, if we’re taking all the, ah, magic to be true,” said Lewis.  “If this thing works on ghosts.”  He waved in the general direction of Gwensyvyr.  “Maybe it’s more myth than fact, or an artifact of someone screwing up a timeline, but Gwensyvyr was supposed to have had children with her dead husband.  A ghost.  Unless there’s some kind of nasty scandal lurking unknown in the family tree–”
“There definitely is,” said Eugene, “there are always scandals.”
“--we’re direct descendants of that union.”
“Do you think any of your ghosts know, Danny?” asked Iris.  “Any of them know Gwensyvyr when she was alive?”
“Um,” said Danny, looking sideways at Gwensyvyr.  “Yeah.  I mean, there’s probably someone.  Around.”
The door to the room opened up, which was a shock, because everyone was accounted for, except–
Oh.  It was Joanna.  She was still in her pajamas, but she had her phone in one hand.
“What have you kids been doing?” she asked.
Iris looked down at her phone, which she had, up until that moment, been using to interrogate Aunt Alicia’s security detail.  Everyone else looked at Lewis’s crime phone, which still showed the last thing Gwensyvyr had typed out.
“Investigating?” suggested Jazz.
“Have you been up all night?” Joanna asked in faint horror.  Danny realized belatedly that most of them were still wearing pieces of their Masque costumes…  They were kind of surreal in the early morning light streaming through the windows.
“We couldn’t sleep after hearing about Alicia,” said Eugene.
“And why did none of you wake me when you heard about this?”  Joanna waved her phone, sounding like she was on the verge of tears.
“You seemed really tired,” said Eugene, lamely.
The more accurate answer, as far as Danny went, was that they were really tired, and then forgot.
Joanna looked back at her phone and rubbed her eyes with her free hand.  “Why all these questions about Alicia’s medication?  I don’t understand–”
“We’re pretty sure that Revyvtech was involved in the poisoning,” said Danny.  “The first one.”
“Probably they were involved in the second one, too, with those special release capsules,” said Iris.
“I don’t know that they were that special,” said George.
“Pretty sure?” asked Joanna.  “How sure is pretty sure?”
Danny turned to Gwensyvyr.  “Would blood blossoms have affected them like that?”
Yes.
Which, of course, begged the questions of why– especially given that only some family members had been affected, and they’d apparently all been eating the same thing.  Still, details like that could be worked out later.
“We know they at least have something that would act like the poison that killed everyone but Vivian,” said Danny.
“The spirits…?” asked Joanna, not finishing the phrase.
“Yeah,” said Danny.
Joanna took a deep breath.  “Thank you, honored ancestors.”
Gwensyvyr gave Joanna a thumbs up.  Joanna jumped.  “Oh!  For a moment I thought–”  She shook her head and started pressing buttons on her phone.
“What are you doing?” asked Eugene.
“I’m calling your uncle,” she said.
“He wasn’t picking up for us or for security.”
“He wasn’t being called on his personal phone.”
The phone rang, tinny and distant to Danny’s ears.  And rang.  And rang.  Joanna sniffled and switched to a different number.
“Who are you calling now?” asked Eugene.
“Mr. Kynbaz - yes, on his personal phone.”
Oh, so everyone just had two phones, now, huh?  Good to know.
This time, the phone was picked up.  Danny heard a tired “Joanna?” from the other side of the line.
“Kevin,” said Joanna, “I need you to authorize an extraction for Alicia.”

how would ghost face react to a s/o who heard one of the survivors talking trash about him and tried to fight them because of it?
Ghostface reacts to reader defending him
Tumblr media
He was on his way to see his beautiful/handsome s/o who was over on the survivors camp.
He hated how far the walk was but it was worth it to see you and talk about interests and things Danny found out and things you found out so Danny can know more about everyone.
When he inched closer towards camp he heard yelling. He couldn't quiet make it out but one voice sounded like yours. He didn't care who the other voice was all he wanted to know is what was happening.
He clenched his fists and peered over the tree and looked at the scene in front of him. You were yelling Mikaela saying not talk shit about your man. She was yelling back that maybe you shouldn't be sleeping around with a killer.
Your jaw clenches and your knuckles turn white from how hard your clenching them. You shake with anger and your mind spirals. You cat think of anything and your vision blurs. You can make out Mikaela in front of you still yapping about how you shouldn't mess with him. You see red and before you know you pounced on her.
Your first landed and hard blow across her face and bruised her cheek. She screamed out in pain. Your other hand went to her neck and wrapped it around. You brought the to the ground and choked her while your free hand repeatedly hit her in the face.
The other survivors tried intervening but to no avail. So Chris and Leon came to grab you and carry you off of her. You were flailing your arms around and kicking and screaming like a mad woman. "You fucking bitch you talk about him like that again I'll slit your fucking throat!" Her face was all fucked up with blood everywhere and her nose surely broken. All she managed to let out was a gurgle and she spit out some blood before passing out.
Danny watched all of this go done with amusement. He was flattered and proud that you defended him like that. He chuckled under his mask. He didn't know you could fight like that. Now he wishes he could've recorded it. When he heard you just throw threats at Mikaela and break her nose he almost felt bad. Almost.
He went to go find you and see how you were. He saw you away from the fire and by a stream sitting with your head tucked in your hands. You were mumbling and he just nonchalantly sat down by you. You jumped startled by his sudden and very quiet entrance. You looked up at him with wide eyes and immediately hugged him.
He smirked and hugged you back. "So you really care about me that much huh?" He asked and continued to tease you much to your embarrassment. Your face flushed dark and you looked away. "I couldn't stand to here her talking about you that way. It really pisses me off and I just couldn't control my anger anymore" your fists clenched again but quickly released and you did breathing exercises to calm yourself.
Danny wrapped an arm around your waist. "I thought it was pretty hot" he whispered lowly in your ear. The masks deep black eyes stared into your and Danny couldn't deny that the tension was getting to him. He would love nothing more than to bend you over and fuck but he couldn't because the Entity quickly called upon him for a trial. You both cursed and he lifted up his mask just so you could see his lips. He kissed you "See you later sweetheart just know that what you did was fucking hot" and with that he disappeared into the trial.
