The Junji Ito Obsession
About a week ago my partner showed me a short story manga online called 'The Enigma of Amigara Fault' and I immediately fell into the rabbit hole. I started looking at his other works online during my free time. For anyone who likes horror, you understand the weird fascination with all things freaky and Junji Ito was scratching an itch that normally gets scratched by watching true crime documentaries and youtubers. After a few days, I caved and bought my first Junji Ito book, 'Shiver'. It didn't take long for me to finish, and I had the next book coming the next day, 'Deserter'. It's only been 5 days and I have already added 'Smashed', 'Tombs', 'Lovesickness', 'Tomie', 'Uzumaki' and 'Gyo' to my collection. 'Gyo' is the last I have to read of the ones I currently have and as I opened the first page, I saw the contents, the bonus story for this book being 'The Enigma of Amigara Fault'. I can't help but see I have gone in a full circle and it feels like some weird fate that I should be reading this now. I'm enjoying his works so much, they are my current obsession. My obsessions regularly change but I'm sure whenever he releases a new book in English, I will come back to his wonderful stories.

I would still use my turn signals in the Mad Max Wasteland. They'd call me "Signal" because I'd hit my blinker before ramming the enemy hot rods into the side of a desert ravine. I'd use my turn signal every time. They would respect me for this.

However, he doesn't get the opportunity to kill him, but he sees that the man is now in the French Foreign Legion. Ismael deserts the Israeli Navy and joins the French Foreign Legion, hoping to encounter the man there.
