Ok there are a lot of things I don't understand about Wilbur and Dream's interactions, but one of the main things that I don't quite get is the whole breaking into the prison and burning the disks with Tommy , like ok why was Wilbur so convinced that by threatening to kill himself he was gonna make Dream do what ever he wants ( burn the disks)

And well we can say that Dream was just agreeing to whatever the hell the wanted because he wanted them out of his living room ( and because he didn't need the disks) but like ,Wilbur didn't know that, what made him so sure that Dream wanted him alive especially after the prison break ( Dream didn't need his help anymore) to the point that he thought he could use it ( his life ) as leverage

Did Dream want to keep Wilbur alive, if so, then why? I don't know man, seems like the only person that would be losing in this situation is Wilbur himself.

I got more questions but like this is what confuses me the most. Idk just don't get it

Honestly I'm going to assume you know about these reddit posts, but while like I think that people should be able to draw their own conclusions to a text without strictly subscribing to what is said by the authors, like, cc!Dream and cc!Wilbur did give explanations behind what happened in this stream that I think are worth checking out: x x

A lot of people perceived cc!Wilbur's comment specifically as speaking for c!Dream in a way that was uninformed and therefore dismissed the post, which I think is...unwise? Like, cc!Wilbur literally says that he's posting from the perspective of his character's thought process, not an out of character word of god on what c!Dream actually values and believes. Further, he literally clarifies that his character isn't entirely correct and is an unreliable narrator.

But looking between the posts and looking at c!Dream's behavior, I mean. What we can say, rather definitively, that c!Wilbur was right about is that c!Dream didn't want to lose that feeling that he had leverage over c!Wilbur. Like, he's pretty damn desperate not to lose it, actually. c!Wilbur "believes that Dream has nothing if not himself"--a perspective that obviously leaves out c!Punz, considering c!Dream's secrecy in terms of this one particular ally, but is otherwise I mean. Like. Correct? cc!Dream emphasizes repeatedly that c!Dream doesn't want to lose "that feeling of control over Wilbur," that c!Dream's power over c!Wilbur is "just in his head," that he's holding onto it even though "it's seemingly gone after the exile reveal." The rest of the server's story only throws this in sharper relief--c!Wilbur literally fucking leaves the whole damn server and c!Dream is cowering in the prison worrying about him A MONTH LATER.

When c!Wilbur makes the assessment that c!Dream is going to hold onto the perceived leverage he has over c!Wilbur tightly, EVEN WHEN SAID LEVERAGE DOESN'T EXIST, to the point of doing almost everything c!Wilbur tells him to? He's 100% right. c!Dream doesn't want to break the illusion. When cc!Dream gives the two examples of what c!Dream wouldn't do, he mentions that c!Dream wouldn't "kill himself" or "give over the revive book," which, I mean. Is literally just saying the same thing twice. Which, again, just goes to show how far c!Dream is willing to go in order to keep holding onto a feeling of control, that--once again! Is emphasized by both ccs AND by the literal text (as we can see that c!Dream at no point is able to actually use the "leverage" he has over c!Wilbur from reviving him to do LITERALLY ANYTHING AT ALL) as not existing in any meaningful manner. This isn't a case of c!Wilbur having an inflated sense of self-importance or a case of him pushing his way into this conflict recklessly w/ a delusional belief that his pitch will work. This is a case of c!Wilbur (as is like, usually the case with him and c!Dream) reading c!Dream like an open book and getting exactly what he fucking wants by force, literally shouting down at c!Tommy and c!Dream until they both comply.

(And it's worth pointing out that like. This whole thing does have a visible toll on c!Dream. He's extra jumpy and defensive in the stream on the same day after Inconsolable Differences, says he went for a stroll outside the prison (something he basically Doesn't Do after he gets the prison back in Daedalus) explicitly to "keep his mind wandering," he bristles at the perception that he's being accused of a terrorist--the exact wording that c!Wilbur uses against him when he makes him write the book in the prison. c!Dream's behavior, while not yet pushed to the point where he starts lashing out in self-defense, was pretty obviously off as soon as c!Wilbur started making demands--he grows quieter, more still, visibly less comfortable--honestly, not at all unsimilar to certain behaviors that we saw in the prison arc.)

And I mean. At the end of the day. Why wouldn't c!Dream want some reason to believe that c!Wilbur would work with him? Why wouldn't he want some kind of leverage? The guy is pretty obviously worried about him, if not outright scared of him. He was ranking c!Wilbur with the likes of c!Sam and c!Quackity when he mentions him in the Finale, for god's sake. c!Wilbur was the person that first called him the tyrant that c!Dream ends up believing he has always been. c!Wilbur was the originator of L'manburg, which c!Dream blames for the literal loss of his home. c!Wilbur is like. Extremely charismatic, extremely good at convincing people that he's well-meaning, that what he's saying is right, that this-person-is-the-enemy and you-want-to-stand-for-freedom and that so-and-so is a cause worth dying for, isn't it. c!Dream was The-Man-That-L'manburg-Opposed from the minute that c!Wilbur decided so and this narrative would follow him literally for the rest of his life.

So yeah c!Dream wanted to keep c!Wilbur alive out of the delusional belief that doing so would mean he has leverage over him. Why he wants that leverage (even though he never uses it and the fact that it literally doesn't exist), I mean.

Based on Scarian Death Game AU by sadagios, where an anon left a rather interesting idea to Sada. Mal took great inspiration from anon and Sada’s ideas, and formed a storyline revolving around them. She shared them with Sada, and thus, a new au of the original au was formed. Scarian Dating Game AU was now up and running!

Strange things happen to Gria, a game dev for “Evolutionist’s Portal”, after he takes home a disc with a dating sim game on it. His obsession with a character from the popular game series “Hermitopia” finally catches up with him, but at what cost? Through glitches and crashes, mixed feelings and concerning behaviors, perhaps what would have once been a dream turns into a horrible nightmare. But where will the story take you? Only you can decide your ending.

Gria was in need of a couple of spare parts to fix one of the appliances at his apartment, and where better to go for absolutely random parts than Big Ron’s down the corner? While the store associate, Bee, who was most certainly a college student taking a summer job, searched in the back for a slightly more obscure piece, Gria takes the time to look around at all the items dotted about the store. He swears there’s always something different each time he pops in, and it’s always interesting to see.

Then he spots something that is definitely out of place. Not that it’s strange to see a loose disc here, but it’s not with the others, and is just barely poking out from between two books sitting on a shelf. He slides it out, with the intention of putting it back into the bin of loose discs. But the clearly handwritten words on it catch his eye, rather than it having a printed image with text. ‘Project: HotGuys Dating Simulator’. He looks it over, and you know, he’s kinda bored, so why not check it out? It probably won’t be any good, but it can be something to just pass the time.

Brazil’s AI-powered social security app is wrongly rejecting claims

When Josélia de Brito, a former sugarcane worker from a remote town in northeast Brazil, filed for her retirement benefits through the mandated government app, she expected her claim would be processed quickly. Instead, her request was instantly turned down because the system identified her as a man.

It was especially frustrating for de Brito, who had been requesting sick pay for years via the National Social Security Institute’s artificial intelligence-powered app, Meu INSS. De Brito had worked in the fields since she was a teenager, and suffered from a herniated disc, scoliosis, and fibromyalgia — chronic illnesses that made her eligible for social benefits. But even minor errors in her claims filed through the app had led to numerous rejections, with few options for recourse.

��I have all the documents proving my health condition, proving everything, and [the benefit] still gets denied. It’s a humiliation,” de Brito, 55, who is illiterate and had to ask her daughter to file the claims, told Rest of World. It’s very hard on rural workers, in particular, who “have worked for so much time,” she said.

Brazil’s social security institute, known as INSS, added AI to its app in 2018 in an effort to cut red tape and speed up claims. The office, known for its long lines and wait times, had around 2 million pending requests for everything from doctor’s appointments to sick pay to pensions to retirement benefits at the time. While the AI-powered tool has since helped process thousands of basic claims, it has also rejected requests from hundreds of people like de Brito — who live in remote areas and have little digital literacy — for minor errors.

“So I see here in this Agreement there is a section about point conversion. What points can I convert and how?”

[System can convert Earth’s Karma Points to B-Points. Karma Points will be lost on transfer if not converted. Convert all points? Yes/No]

“Yes. Now, I see there is a shop. How do I access it?”

[System Shop is available at Save Points. Would you like to access the Shop now?]

“Yeah, show me what you’ve got.”

A virtual store popped up, looking like a games shop with shelves of cartridges, disc cases, books, and miscellaneous tchotchkes. Shen Yuan strolled through the aisles, having no basis for what was or wasn’t a good deal.

“What’s my balance and how do I get more points?”

[Shen Yuan Account currently has 0 Protagonist Satisfaction Points and 19,836 B-Points. Points are awarded for improving Protagonist and Reader satisfaction. Further point types may be unlocked by user actions.]

Okay, that didn’t really give him any idea how easily replaced these points were, but you can never go wrong with a permanent income booster. He grabbed a cartridge marked 'B-Point Multiplier x4' off the shelf and continued shopping.

“How frequent are Save Points? Can I just save whenever? And can I reload?”

[System will auto-save before and after key story events. Saves will only be used as a backup in case of System Error.]

“So useless to me, then. What’s up with this?” He waved at an empty display marked ‘Special Offers’.

[System may offer scenario specific rewards at any time by its own discretion. Offers are nontransferable, non-refundable, and offered for a limited time only.]

“Are there rewards that are transferable or refundable?”

“Are there other users?”

“I see. You said my role now is to improve the original story; how much can I change?”

“What happens if I reject a quest?”

Hm. Shen Yuan had never been in danger of inheriting the family business, but he had certainly learned a few things about contracts. He leaned against the shop counter and made a few edits to the Agreement (which he had forced the System to create a physical copy of), initialing and dating each change.

“I will sign if you agree to my updates.”

On the signature line of Shen Yuan’s copy “SysAdmin02 (Authorized System Representative)” appeared in a stereotypical console font.

“I’ll hold you to it,” Shen Yuan promised, leafing through to make sure each edit had been initialed before adding his own signature.

Fast forward and he’s standing in front of a portal to the Endless Abyss, Luo Binghe is freaking out, and the System is threatening to send him back home.

“This goes against our Agreement.” He says, face and tone dark.

[Correct. User has failed to comply with the Agreement. Account will be terminated in- two… minutes… if not brought into compliance.]

“No, you’re the one breaking the Agreement. You stated that 10,000 points would be lost if I didn’t push the protagonist into the Abyss; I have 30,000 points which is well over enough even after you tried to double the penalty. I didn’t reject the quest and I have the means to pay the fine for not completing it. In what way have I not been compliant? You on the other hand are saying you’ll send me back to my original world- which is in clear violation of the conditions. Look under ‘Terms and Termination’. See where it says ‘previously purchased Content will remain available to You’? Now how is that going to work if I’m in another world?”

He jabbed a finger at his purchase history.

“What about this body?” He had purchased quite a few power-ups, not to mention the back-up clone waiting in stasis. “What about all of my artifacts? My custom skins (so much easier than getting ready every day)? My exclusive pets? Can you send those with me in a usable state? Would I even be able to use them after being sent back to that body?”

He was prepared to keep going, but the System beeped in protest.

[Error. This condition is not part of the Standard Agreement.]

“You agreed to my edits. You signed the updated contract,” he smiled, all teeth and no warmth. “I think you should direct your attention to the ‘Arbitration and Compensation’ section where you’ll find you owe me recompense for attempting to unjustly terminate my account.”

And that is how Shen Yuan, now Shen Qingqiu, got away with doing whatever he wanted for the next few years until the System got too frustrated and terminated the Agreement, paying a hefty fine and leaving everyone to their own devices.

This is a mod for Xenogears using Retroarch's Beetle PSX HW core real-time texture replacement feature. (It requires the Vulkan driver, so make sure your graphics card supports that.) (Duckstation doesn't have a similar option, unfortunately.)

It replaces every single character dialogue portrait, menu portrait, & (almost every) battle portrait (looking at you, Yggdra officer Gear pilots) with high quality, cleaned up artwork, as well as recreated high quality UI while keeping it as close to the original game as possible.

And best thing about it is, if there's anything you don't like about it, like certain aspects of the UI, you can locate and delete that file from the folder. Everything is optional. (if you have any questions as to what's what, drop them into my dms)

Being a real-time texture replacer, it should work with any English version of XG, both base-game and modded/patched. Any fan-translated patch using the US version as a base should display correctly.

There's a separate version for the Japanese version of the game. May need some editing still with other characters' UI ("Ether"/"Spells"/"Arcane"/etc) but for the most part its good to go in terms of battle UI. Let me know if you find any errors.

(I've been using it with the Perfect Works Build mod. Highly recommended!)

(Note!!: If you use PWB mod, don't use its "readjusted portraits" patch when patching your rom, as that patch interferes with this mod's portraits texture replacing.)

(It works on Steam Deck... but don't ask me for details in setting that up in particular, I don't own one 😅)

When I first started posting I was very confused and very overwhelmed. Here are a few tips and tricks that I've figured out over the years, that I wish someone would've told me back then:)

If you have any more questions, pm me! I'll always reply. I love you all so deeply and I'm more than willing to help:)

These are suggestions/optional. You do not have to do everything I say. These are just a few methods I used when I first started. Do what makes you happy and do what works for you and your account:)

Remember we all need to start somewhere, don't be scared, believe in yourself! Its all trail and error. Your work/account might not be perfect in the beginning but I swear practice makes perfect <3

How to Start Writing Fanfiction:

Choose a Fandom You Love: Start with a universe you know well—your passion will translate to better writing.

Pick a Format: Decide if you’re writing one-shots, a multi-chapter fic, drabbles, or headcanons. Or you could write all of them.

Start with a Prompt or Trope: Popular tropes like “hurt/comfort,” “friends to lovers,” “fake dating,” or “enemies to lovers” are great entry points.

Use a Simple Structure: For beginners, aim for a basic story arc—introduction, conflict, resolution. Your plot doesn’t need to be complex; emotional impact matters more.

Find your niche: We are such a big community with many many writers. Find who you are, the thing people will know your account by.

For example: I've seen people point out they like my dark fics. Whether it's depressing, violent or I have dark twists, im known for writing dark things in general.

The Importance of Tags (and How to Use Them):

Why Tags Matter:

- Help readers find your story.

- Give content warnings.

- Set expectations (genre, tone, ships).

How to Tag Effectively:

- Include the ship name, characters, fandom name, and tropes.

- Add CW (content warnings) like: violence, NSFW, major character death, etc.

- Use common, searchable terms so your fic shows up in filtered searches.

Use Sites like AO3, Tumblr, TikTok, Reddit, or Twitter (X): Search by “most kudos” or trending tags. On Tumblr or TikTok, search fan edits and memes—they reveal current obsessions.

Examples of What’s Usually Popular: Canon divergence, fix-it fics, NSFW fics, angsty reunions, found family, or character x reader dynamics.

Ideas for a Masterlist

Your masterlist is like a directory of your works. Organize it by theme or format:

How to Keep Your Masterlist Updated (Without Stress):

Choose Where to Host It: Tumblr: Use a pinned post, then link to it in your bio.

Add New Fics Immediately After Posting: Best habit: After publishing a fic, immediately open your masterlist and:

Add the title, link, and a short summary/tags.

Place it in the right category (e.g., angst, fluff, smut).

Example:

"I'm working on it!" Brook shouts off the camera, the Soul King clearly distraught with how tight his voice is. He takes a deep breath and steadies himself as he pulls his guitar up and before a fishman steps just enough into frame to make him set it down before stepping out again. He knows his time spent training was not necessarily the classiest time of his crewmates but alas, he did owe the world-for the most part-an apology. "I'm sorry." The skeleton says.

"For what?" The voice of the fishman says.

"For the disrespect I showed to turntables." Brook says, his voice turning weepy. "I didn't understand exactly how much they mattered to modern day music, if that's what the kids are calling music it truly makes my eyes well with tears. Or they would if I had eyes, skull joke!" His soft yohohos turn into a singular choked sob as the fishman sighs. "I think there are some who do not know how to understand how to use it properly and therefore they should not be making music! I won't name names however some people gave me a lot of grief while I was stuck performing and those musicians if you could call them that made it so much worse! I was separated from my loved ones and no one was concerned with me! Just my music! I was a puppet for entertainment!"

It was a recorded video being broadcasted around the world and people were watching, talking, mingling.

"Listen, I really really like Straw Hat," Bepo tells Law, "but if he's talking about Uta then I'm using him as chewie." His captain pats his shoulder and they leave.

"If he's talking about Apoo, I'll turn him in myself." Someone nearby says.

"Twenty beri he doesn't even know how to use one." They respond before shaking on it.

"I'm sorry! I understand the errors of my ways now! I have been formally educated on disc jockey equipment." Brook assures the audience but still, the crowds do not seem pleased.

"Not unless he learned from Queen." Someone spits.

“I don’t know why you’re even upset when I know there’s been worse done to music! Do any pirates sing shanties anymore?” Brook cries on the screen. “Tempo, rhythm? The world is lacking nowadays! I tried to teach someone to dance and they tried to kill me! But I’m already dead!” Brook sobs as Jinbei finally steps on screen, his arms crossed his chest. 

“You asked to see her panties.” 

“I don’t know what that has to do with anything!” Brook defends.

“This is why I only listen to Uta.” A young woman nods. On screen the fishman simply sighs. Everyone knew the cook and the skeleton of the crew were kind of skeevy, in different ways. They were pirates though so it was to be slightly expected, there were far worse crews out there. Then Brook pulled out a ukelele, and started singing about how wrong he was for dissing turntables and those using them. He was crying real tears. 

“Are you done making a fool of yourself?” Jinbei asks the skeleton who changes his tune (yohoho) rather quickly.

“Hm, yeah. I think if I do this longer Nami will kick me into the ocean.” Brook agrees, standing and walking off arm in arm with the fishman.

If Bepo joined in on the riot after the reveal it was for the greater good his crew stayed out of the way.

Sega Saturn - Dead or Alive Limited Edition

They said that nothing could outdo Sega's Saturn conversion of Virtua Fighter 2 and maybe they were right since none of Sega's other 3D fighters come close to the sharpness of Virtua Fighter 2. But who came to prove it could be done? Tecmo converted their Model 2 fighter to the Saturn with amazing results!! The game looks more solid than VF2, the characters look beefier, and the backgrounds look more 3Dish than those of Virtua Fighter 2. So, Dead or Alive looks just as good if not better than Virtua Fighter 2 but how does it play? Well, it's not as complex as Virtua Fighter 2 making it easier to get into but that's not to say that there aren't loads of moves to master. Each character can take quite some time to master just like Virtua Fighter 2's but I'm sure most people will start off with the ladies just so that they can witness their bouncing breasts (^v^). One novel feature is the danger-zones around the ring. Knock your opponent on to these and they'll be blasted into the air by an explosion. Leaving them open for a nice combo attack.

Dead Or Alive 2 in my book is the best 3D Saturn fighter. And better still, it craps all over the PlayStation version.

This special edition comes in a card slipcase complete with some nice Engrish which reads "Exclusive [DEAD OR ALIVEN for SS LIMITED EDITION BOX] DEAD OR ALIVE Visual book [PICTURES] and 4 proces coler Picture label included!" Please note that the spelling of ALIVEN and coler are not my errors but how they are written on the box. Why on earth Japanese people don’t use dictionaries or ask a native speaker I don’t know. As well as the card slipcase you’ll notice that the CD has a full-color print featuring that famous naked image of Kasumi. Inside the slipcase, you’ll find an art book that contains a few early sketches of some of the characters featured in the game. You’ll notice that most of these appear as extra costumes in Dead or Alive II on the Dreamcast or at least they do in the Japanese version but I’m sure they’re in the PAL and US versions too.

I miss when tech was all finnicky and you needed to do some weird shit to make it work. Remember having to lick the cart to make your action replay work. The xbox 360 open tray error solution. Tapping it to make it read discs. I love that stuff. I prefer this on something that will work for 20+ years over modern devices which will break in 1-5

Before I post a birthday pic tomorrow, I decided to show off some photos and a video I did. But I felt like I was in a Resident Evil Mood, like deciding if I were to play 2, 4, 5, or Revelations 1 and 2, but on second thought there was a Resident Evil game I haven't played in so long. So I chose Code Veronica X because I remember my dad playing this game a lot, since it was his favorite besides Resident Evil 2. Like we got the game for the PlayStation 2, and I have a copy of the game, but when I was going to get ready to put it into my PlayStation 2 Slim, the disc wouldn't read and send me back to the browser, but didn't give me the error, it started reading and it worked, but didn't got to work. So my friend on Discord told me like with Gran Turismo 4, it might be that my lenses are having a problem and need cleaning up the lenses. Otherwise if that didn't work, and if I were to get another PlayStation 3, I would have to get one of the old models that can play both PlayStation 1 and 2 games. Otherwise I would end up getting a PlayStation Plus Premium even though my brother and I were talking about getting them for Christmas. But he wanted the Extra, and I wanted the Premium. Like he wanted to play so many of the free games, and I wanted to play so many of the classic games. So we agree that we'll both get them for Christmas. Back to the post, I bought the game on my PlayStation 5 since you can play PlayStation 2 games on PlayStation 4 and 5, but you have to buy them. So I got it since it was on Sale, and I thought I would just buy the game even though I just have a physical copy of the actual PlayStation 2 version. I wanted to show a video and show some screenshots of the game. Like I was making progress even though I do like the gameplay and the whole story. Same goes for my dad. But with Code Veronica X, I would imagine Lighting and Yinna playing this if Yinna was into Resident Evil.

Lighting 😺⚡: Yeah and I know you have been playing the 2019 Remake on our PlayStation 5.

Shadow R 😺🗡️: Of course, Light. I enjoy that game a lot since I love playing the Remakes.

Paul 😺 ⚔️⚒️: Well he has a point, Light. Even if your dad and I love Resident Evil, I'm sure you and your brother might have the guts to play it. As long as you get permission from me, and your parents.

Shadow R 😺🗡️: Uh huh. Always ask us first if you like to play it. Despite the game being for Mature Audiences only, but I'm sure you'll manage.

Lighting 😺⚡: Thanks, Dad and Grandpa. Normally I remember seeing you both playing GTA with the Speedsters and you haven't told me about it. I know you and Speedster have explained it to my brother, Zack.

Shadow R 😺🗡️: Yeah I know. But I know you both don't work or are a little young to be working for Rockstar. But I'm sure you can manage Survival Horror like me and your Grandpa.

Lighting 😺⚡: Sure. I'll talk with Riya, May, Miya and Yinna if they like to play it too. Because I know Speedy and I always like killing Zombies together.
