I understand not wanting to vote for Biden but I don’t understand letting Trump win. Because whether we vote for Biden or not won’t change that people will vote for Trump like crazy. Whether we vote for Biden or not won’t change him being the only Democratic candidate on the ballot. Are we really going to watch Trump put another Supreme Court justice in place? the greater washington polycule and the blue team polycule do overlap significantly and have several of the same members and many of the same themes. but they are not the Same Polycule--yknow? separate entities.

like, the blue team polycule is deeply defined by the extent to which they are family to each other, the way that they care for each other. it might not necessarily be domestic all of the time but it's about loving someone and wanting to be there for them even though you don't understand and CAN'T understand everything that they're going through. it's about sticking together no matter what, it's hardly a choice, it's just who you are to each other, and having them to fall back on, much like a good family.

The greater washington polycule is more of a high school friend group that got old together--it's about the knowing, deeply, what the other people in the group are, at their cores. knowing their pain, relating to it hard. it's about comfort, it's about understanding, it's about being known. it's about knowing your way around someone else's weak points and pain, it's about the volatility of it all but the smoothing down of the edges over time. it's about choosing each other, over and over again.
