for those missing context here’s puckpocketed Deep Cuts vol. 2!! my friend who i met outside of hockey (in the gamer trenches) used to follow the nhl casually before she met me. over this past summer, i fell into hockey and dragged her back in. ever since i told her about cmd she has had this as her discord status:

American here: is there like… a nationalist(?) bias towards the Oilers and against the Canucks? Announcers on this broadcast keep bringing up the nationalities of the Canucks players and that there’s only two Canadian-born players on the team. It’s kind of weird that they keep mentioning it. Like as a wings fan, i think half our players are Americans, but idgaf where they’re from as long as they play good hockey, and i don’t think ive heard similar commentary watching other teams play except for lighthearted joking about Dallas’ Finns. Anyone have more insight???
