Blogmas: Chanel Fragrance Gift Guide
Hi guys,
With the festive season approaching I wanted to do some blog posts showing you some gift ideas for people on a budget. If you didn't know my actual name is Chanell (though my nickname at home is Bella) and I obviously get asked all the time if I use CHANEL products and honestly I have only really ever used their fragrances.
Most people will spend lots of money on Chanel perfumes and if you collect perfumes then by all means go ahead. However if you want to have Chanel fragrances but for half the price then do I have news that will blow your mind. If you didn't know Chanel have fragrance moisturiser mists that match all the perfumes but they are half price or more!
The fragrance mists last just as long as a perfume if not longer and yet they are way more affordable than a perfume. While I love collection fragrances I don't always want to pay crazy prices. Here are my 3 favourite Chanel Moisture mists:
CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle Fresh Deodorant Spray £44.00.
CHANEL Chance Eau Tendre Sheer Moisture Mist £40.00.
CHANEL Chance Eau Fraîche Sheer Moisture Mist £40.00.
I have been using these mists for years and love to give them as gifts to my friends because they are so special to give as gifts and yet I'm not bankrupting myself . So if you're looking to purchase a luxury fragrance mists this season why not check these out first. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
Lot's of love

Fragrance's Christmas Dissociate into the TV List
I'm quite fond of Christmas movies, and Christmas in general, and I am currently rewatching a few favorites.
Dickensian - a BBC 10-episode miniseries that intertwines the stories of Dickens characters from multiple books, including A Christmas Carol, Bleak House, Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, and The Old Curiosity Shop. It turns Mr. Marley's demise in A Christmas Carol into a murder mystery and Inspector Bucket from Bleak House is on the case. It's basically fanfiction of the most wonderful kind. And it's the BBC. They can basically do no wrong.
The Man Who Invented Christmas - a movie about Charles Dickens writing A Christmas Carol. The situation that led to it, what inspired him, how he worked down to the wire... Based on true events, it features Dickens interacting with various characters from A Christmas Carol. They appear in his mind's eye and sit with him in his study, have full-on conversations with him, and even follow him around and call to him from outside his windows! I'm sure many a writer has often felt the same way. I, for one, very often have at least three hobbits following me around. Frodo and Marigold, for instance, are often in the back seat of my car doing very untoward things, and Sam's often bringing me tea and conversing with me about gardening, his adventures, and his relationship with Mr. Frodo.
A Christmas Carol 2009, with Jim Carrey - a standard retelling of the classic tale, but with a lot of flying over 19th century London. For some reason, it's my favorite of the many cinematic versions of the story.

The scents I used on my recent road trip - I am known to carry an insane amount of perfume when I travel - and buy more as I go. This time it was just a week away relatively locally, so I took along some samples and travel sprays - and picked up the big red bottle on sale in a country town chemist - Hardcore Rose by Victoria’s Secret. I’m not big into body sprays or Victoria’s Secret fragrances but when I saw this one I bought it blind since there was no tester - I love anything rose and figured even a cheap and cheerful rose would be nice to spray liberally on holiday. But it’s sooo good! So much so that I’m sad it’s discontinued as I would love the proper perfume version. It’s a lovely fresh, green rose - apparently a copy of Valentino’s long discontinued Rock N Rose which I sniffed too long ago to accurately remember. Smells just like a bouquet of softly sweet fresh cut roses. Such a surprising find, and I used up half the bottle instead of most of the ones I brought along. I also took one of my most favourite roses - Ballet Rose from Philosophy (also discontinued so I buy them every time I see them in bargain bins. Why do they do this to everything I love!) It’s so clean and just rosy enough, a perfect travel scent. I gave Thin Wild Mercury another go too. It’s such a beloved indie brand, the aesthetic is so cool and coquettish, but when I first got the samples I disliked them all. They just don’t seem well blended enough to me, and have that air of handmade perfumery that’s too much like a bunch of patchouli oil. But I used up the two more summery scents - Zuma and Laurel Canyon. In the absolute stinking heat of the Australian summer, Laurel Canyon was lovely. It felt very evocative of the hills of that region - grassy, dry and a little herbal. That one I may go back for a travel size. Zuma was nice enough, fresh and spicy, but vanished rather fast. I’m yet to properly test the other two as they’d be better for colder days. I also finished a travel sized bottle of Viktor and Rolf’s much maligned Good Fortune (not pictured as I tossed the empty) - it’s just a sweet, girly jasmine, wrongly marketed as witchy and suffering for it with endless backlash, but as a nice white summer floral, it was easy to drain 10ml in a couple days.
