you know what no. this scene actually flabbergasts me
by which i mean it’s absolutely fucking adorable and i watched it about 5 times over before i had the brain capacity to move on but like. i’m literally throwing my arms up in exasperation because we know this bit. we’ve seen it in all its forms. we’ve seen it as a plot device with hetero couples and we’ve seen it as a joke when it’s between two guys. and we know that when it’s like this, where it’s not the butt of a joke, it’s where one half of the “we’re just really good friends” situationship starts to realize they have romantic feelings for the other person. that is the purpose of this bit when only one of them is in earshot of the comment and they don’t immediately laugh it off. that’s what it’s designed for and what it’s used for in romantic plots!!! and here they are, using it for buck and eddie, as though that’s not gonna make the audience’s romantic alarm bells start blaring. like. objectively, this is the part of the narrative where buck realizes he’s in love with eddie. that’s what that means. and it’s driving me insane bc i know that they do nothing with it
unit and torchwood (and the bannerman road gang) both absolutely kept tabs on donna but since unit's official policy re: the remaining member of torchwood three is 'do not engage under any circumstances this woman will kick your arse and we literally cannot afford that' gwen has no idea what's happened until she goes on her biannual is donna still alive trip to find donna and fourteen arguing about which dresser to buy in ikea and is like hey what the fuck
i’m very new to the 911 fandom but one thing i am observing about fic writers is we loveeee to injure buck and make eddie take care of/worry about him and i’m so here for that dynamic
